"Drake. Why did we leave the Manor? This is danger just waiting to happen. I mean, sure little Matthew is with Piper, but he's still at risk. Why are we heading to your place for again? Drake. Drake! Drake, look out!" Bianca said as a car crashed into the passenger side!
Chapter 89: Saint Drake
Bianca stood in the waiting room with Piper, Leo, Wyatt, Chris, Matthew, Melinda, and Warren. Phoebe and Paige had gone out to get some coffee. Coop was checking with the doctor, Ava and her apprentice Dr. Makal. Bianca was very shaken after the accident, which had thrown her into the car horn. She had a gash on her head, but other than that she was fine. She also had a small headache. Wyatt was beside himself with anger and worry. He was sure this was it. This was the event that was going to separate him from the love of his life forever. Chris tried to comfort Bianca and Wyatt, but wasn't sure of anything himself. Piper had Matthew and Leo stood, waiting as did Warren. They all looked up when Coop made his way back.
"I just talked to Makal and they say he's still in bad condition but they stabilized the baby." Coop explained, "It'll be a while before any of us can see him, including Wyatt."
"I want to see him." Wyatt said angrily, "I have to heal him."
"Wyatt, it's not just the car crash, it's the stress of it. You can't heal stress." Coop said.
"But he—we can't." Wyatt began sobbing hysterically.
Piper walked over and hugged him.
"Did they find anything out?" Phoebe asked, coming up with Paige.
"I'm so sorry!" Bianca burst out, "I didn't—we were only going to his house."
"It's not your fault." Chris said, patting her back.
"Yes, it is!" Wyatt shouted, "You knew better and you still did what your warped personality thought was right!"
Bianca burst into tears and ran off, Chris at her heels.
"Oh God. I'm dead." I said, standing in the middle of the hall.
"Wyatt..." Piper said.
"Wyatt." Ava said, walking up, "We've stabilized him, but..."
"Oh God, thank you!" Wyatt said quickly.
"But, he's in a coma-state." Ava said sadly.
"What?" Wyatt asked.
"He sustains life, but for some reason he won't wake up."
"What if I heal him?!"
"It's not...there's nothing else we can do. He's a fighter and he's fighting but..." Ava said slowly.
"Don't you say it!" Wyatt said, "If you're trying to tell me that my husband is about to die in that room, you're lying!"
"We have to get the baby out before..."
Wyatt started breathing harder.
"Wyatt, stay with me. This baby could die if we leave her in. You have a few hours before you have to decide." Ava said, "I'll leave you with your family." She said, walking away.
"Wyatt.." Piper said.
"No!" Wyatt shouted.
"Son, you heard what she said." Leo said, "The baby could die too."
"I'm not giving up on my husband. He's fighting! You heard her!" Wyatt said angrily.
"Awww, honey." Paige said, hugging him
"I don't understand." I frowned.
"No one does."
I turned to see my father.
-
"Hello!" I said, flailing in front of Wyatt, who was by my bed. Everyone else was in the hall. Wyatt prayed and rubbed my stomach, hoping that I would come back. He even tried to heal me without success. He healed my scars but not the ailment.
"He can't hear you." Peter said.
"Stop saying that!" I shouted, "He can hear me and he can see me!"
"Son, if he can hear and see you, then why hasn't he reacted?" Peter asked.
"I don't know." I frowned, "This can't be the end."
"Every end brings a new beginning." Peter said.
"That's not comforting."
"What about your daughter." Peter said, "You died so that she could live."
"I was hit by a car." I frowned.
"Yes, but it's not the reason you're in a coma. You went into labor." Peter said airily.
"Yeah, well how's death working for you?" I asked.
"Perfect." Peter said, "So perfect that I was allowed to come to you."
"Why you? Why not mom." I said.
"Because it started with me." Peter said, "The neglect. The dishonesty. I'm the one person who's betrayed you more than yourself."
"My alternate self?" I asked.
"He is you." Peter said, "Think about it. He's what you could have become. He came back to protect you from Wyatt. He couldn't understand you so he enlisted your mother and I. As a precaution, he took in your darkside, hoping that all that would be left would be the courage to move past the darkness."
"He left me half a person."
"He left you a better person." Peter said, "Something that only you would ever do."
"He has a heart." I said, "He..."
"He saved you from becoming what you were never meant to be." Peter said, "Our family is a family of light shrouded in darkness."
I stared at him, afraid.
"You are the best of yourself." Peter said, "He underestimated how much corruption there would be. The hate in his heart plus whatever miniscule hate there was in yours turned him into a monster."
"I don't understand. He did all this to protect me?" I asked.
"After everything he'd seen...experienced, he was determined not to let you end up as he did. When you got pregnant, he thought he failed. When he found out you were destined to die, he assumed Wyatt would be the cause."
"I can't die, not with everything I know now!" I said.
"It's inevitable." Peter frowned, "Good guys always die."
"He's a saint." I said.
"He was never right. You would have never become him because Wyatt was never like his Wyatt. And with you by his side, you would never become him. Your mother was skeptical about everything but put it all behind her when he came up with a way for her to beat the disease she had." Peter said, "I gave in too."
"He's been the Source since I was in high school." I said.
"Maybe even before that. He's been protecting you."
"The Foresaken..." I said.
"A rumor spread by him. He thought it would cause a divide between Wyatt, his family, and you."
"The kind where Wyatt would be alone and be easy pickings."
"But he needs the books to sever the connection between you." Peter explained, "If he dies when you die, neither of you can be saved."
"He knows a way to bring me back?" I asked.
"He knows the only way." Peter said carefully.
-
"I'm so sorry." Bianca said.
"Uh huh." Warren frowned.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Bianca asked.
"Usually, with these things, you should beat around the bush, but I'm not a bush beater." Warren frowned, "I heard what you and Wyatt agreed to. I know everything."
Bianca looked stunned, "What are you going to do with the information?" she asked.
"I'm not sure yet." Warren frowned
"You can't..."
"I can do whatever I want." Warren said quickly, "The only reason I haven't told Drake or Chris is because it would hurt them."
"You could ruin everything." Bianca said.
"No, you took that chance when you made the deal." Warren said.
Bianca looked solemn. Her secret pact hadn't stayed secret for long.

Wyatt slammed the Book of Shadows down on the table. He was beyond worried and he knew what would come next. Death. It always came next.
"You're making the right decision." Dark Drake smiled, "If there's one thing I always knew about you, it's that you'd do anything to keep me."
"I'm doing this to save my husband." Wyatt said.
