Chapter #27

The following few days before leaving for Baltimore seemed like one long meeting and Scott and Devon were proving to be invaluable since Stu and I knew nothing about the hotel business.

We contacted the Lincoln Builders and Contractors Association and they furnished us with a list of architects that were associated with the Association and references we could use in making a decision.

From the lists we selected 5 firms and sent them letters with what we were thinking about doing with the Branston. While we waited for replies, Robert made all the final arrangements that concluded the transfer of my Uncle Sam's assets under one corporation that he asked his dad's firm too incorporate in Delaware titled H & R Properties Inc. with me as President, Stu as Vice-President and himself as Secretary-Treasurer, Legal Counsel. When that was done each Nebraska property was incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary of H & R Properties. It was all legal work and Robert had been working on it almost since he had arrived in Lincoln. I know I was happy he was with me doing it. Stu was good, still being a student, but Robert was a whiz.

On the Friday before we were to leave, we were in Scott's office going over final instructions for while we were away. We hadn't received any replies to the inquiries we had sent out but it had only been three days. We hadn't heard anything from Agent Chris Hardison of the NBI about the investigation into Dickson and Marx's case so there was no reason not to leave. We contacted a security firm and set up a schedule for overseeing the West Point farm and giving them the keys, we had that off our minds. Robert sent certified letters to the manager of the ranch property in the western part of the state up around Valentine advising them of the changes that had occurred, instructing them to send reports to Scott Anderson who was fast becoming more then a hotel manager.

The ranch was something we hadn't given any thought to at all being that far from us and Stu and I were both ready to get away for awhile from all of the turmoil of the past weeks.

While Robert and Scott were going over the budget they had set up for operation of the now defunct hotel, I leaned over and whispered in his ear quietly, "lets call Adam and Cody about going out for dinner or something. It seems like we haven't seen them in ages and I think we need a break."

"Your not alone Clyde." Robert said looking up. "Where's Devon, he disappeared early after breakfast?"

"I think you will find him in what will be the kitchens, fine tuning the plans for changes he wants." Scott said.

"Clyde's right, lets take a break. There isn't much more we can do until we hear from the architects we have written. Give'em a call Stu while I go find Dev, will you?"

"Sure." Stu said reaching for the telephone. "Would you like to join us Scott?"

"Sorry, I already have an engagement but I'll take a rain check. If you don't need me anymore, I told my wife I'd meet here downtown. Are you guys still leaving Sunday morning?"

"That's the plan for right now. Everything is pretty well set here and if you have any questions you know where you can call. There are only a few things we need to get out of the way in Baltimore. Is there something on your mind?" I asked

"Nicky, Nicky Martin. He finally picked up his final check yesterday. His mother has been ill and he couldn't get away. He asked about coming back to work when you re-opened the hotel."

"Damn Scott, I forgot about Nicky in all of the hullabaloo. Did he say how his mother is?"

"Doing better but he's looking for work. Trying to finish school and work is pretty rough for an 18-year-old kid with a sick mother. I didn't really know what too tell him."

"Didn't you say you were going to bring him on and work with the demolition crews Clyde?" Stu commented.

"Yeah, I had thought about that but we don't know when they are going to start. Do you think he might want to give us a hand with stripping down the rooms?"

"I can ask him but I'm sure he will want too." Scott answered.

"Good, I would hate losing Nicky, he's a good kid. Be sure and tell him he has a future with us and I don't mean just as a car jockey." I said.

                • Dinner that evening with Cody and Adam at the Tarn O'Shanter Steakhouse set the course for what was to eventually become the Samuel Hampton Home for Underprivileged and Homeless Gay Youth. Cody and Adam were astonished when I asked them about coming on board the project with me. Talking with Scott earlier about Nicky had given me the idea about what the West Point property could be used for and sort of make up for what it had been used for. If Nicky lost his mother where would he go? Where had so many young gay boys and girls gone that had lost someone and there was no direction for them.

"Damn Clyde, do you really mean it?" Adam said excitedly.

"I wouldn't have brought it up if I didn't Adam and I'd like for you and Cody to be in it with us. It's to good a piece of property just to sell and it's more then Stu and I will need and we think it would make a hell of a school. Hell, we will have a place in Baltimore and when the hotel is finished, we'll have an apartment there. Maybe we could keep one of the small cottages like Marx had for when we can make it up there." I said glancing at Stu and Robert.

Cody and Adam looked back and forth at each other a few minutes before Adam leaned in closer.

"Clyde, if your serious about his we're with you. Something like it is needed here in Nebraska, there are kids leaving for the Coasts almost like there was a plague here. The State Education Board accrediting is the only thing we might have trouble with if you open as a "gay" home. Nebraska is a pretty conservative state when it comes right down to it. I guess you noticed we only have two gay bars in Lincoln and that is more or less because of the University."

"It can be done Adam." Robert said. "The US Supreme Court is taking a pretty dim view on the violation of civil rights and if it is established as a private organization funded by private donations it makes it even more difficult for accreditation to be denied. It can be done if we are willing to fight for it."

"It's going to take a lot of work, time and money but it is something that is needed. I get sick of seeing how gay kids are treated in schools and by the courts." Adam and Cody said almost together.

"Lets talk more about it when we get back. You guys can't get involved until you graduate but by then you might have a pretty good idea of who we need to contact and get the ball rolling." I said looking around the table. It was almost as if everyone had lost the ability to speak for a few minutes.

"Hey, what the hell use is to have all this money and property if we aren't going to do something with it? There are too damn many orphaned gay boys and girls running the streets and a lot of them are dying before their time on drugs, prostitution, alcohol, you name it. If we can take that farm from being a male whore house to being a useful school for some of those kids we have done something." I said a little passionately.

"Easy Clyde." Stu said laying his hand on my arm. "You've got people looking at us and you're starting to sound like a politician."

"Yeah bud." Devon said. "You almost had me ready to jump up and say, "Hallelujah brother, can I get an Amen and all I have been thinking about is hotel kitchens not schools or homes."

"I'm sorry for getting carried away. I only wish there was something like it when I lived here. Maybe things would have been different." I said gazing around the table.

"We will never know Clyde but at least we met since they didn't have it back then." Stu said looking at me with his soft blue eyes.

"Your right babe. If no one wants anything else how about we call it a night?" I said breathing a little easier.

We dropped Cody & Adam at their place before going on to the hotel. Clarence saw us drive up and was standing at the door as we got out of the Explorer. He almost looked like a doorman with his guards uniform on.

"Where did you get the uniform Clarence?" I asked.

"Mr. Anderson got'em for us. He thought it looked a little more official then just wearing overalls and stuff like that."

"He's right, it does man, you look good. Any messages?"

"Just one from Mr. Anderson, he only left a few minutes before you drove up. He said have a good trip and he would be in touch if anything came up and oh yes, Nicky would be starting on Monday after school."

"Thanks Clarence. We won't see you again until we get back so take care of the place for us, okay?"

"Yes sir Mr. Hampton, you can bet on that."

As we went to the elevator, Robert turned to his brother, "He is a politician Stu, can't you see how he wraps people around his little finger?"

"All except me big brother."

"There ganging up on me Devon." I said chuckling

"And I'm not going to get involved in that Clyde. Your big enough to handle'em, at least I think you are."

"Oh he is Devon, he is." Stu commented with a sly grin & a gleam in his eye.

"And that is going beyond attorney client privilege Stu." Robert said as we left the elevator at our floor.

"I'm not an attorney yet Rob but I'll keep it in mind."

"As long as you finish Stewart, that's what I want the most."

"He will Rob, don't worry." I said wrapping my arm around Stu's waist.

"What about you?" Stu said looking up at me.

"That we will talk about later. Right now, I am tired." I said opening the door.

"That tired?" Stu said slipping up behind me, locking his arms around my waist.

"Never that tired." I said turning to face him and taking him in my arms, our mouths meeting in a soft gentle kiss.

His kiss was long and deep, his tongue twisting and exploring. I felt his passion rising as he molded his body too mine and I felt his heart rate increasing as we kissed.

Pulling my head back I gazed in his passion filled eyes. He leaned back in my arms increasing the pressure where our groins met and the steely hardness of his cock radiated molten heat. Swinging down I picked him up in my arms and he giggled laying his head on my shoulder. He was the lightest 165 lbs I ever carried, it was like lifting feathers and he cradled his body closer to mine as I carried him to our bed.

We stripped each other after I stood him on his feet. What words did we really need? What we felt no longer needed words for expression; the bonded commitment we had made said it all.

Stu spoke with his eyes and the magnificence of his body drawing me ever closer each time we made love. With some, it never was enough but with Stu it changed, never the same, always more enticing and exciting.

Lying beside each other, his skin was like velvet and his muscles rippled following my fingers as I explored already know crevasses and hidden spots. An odor of musky maleness drifted upwards assailing my nostrils with an almost narcotic effect. He caressed my chest sending small electric shocks shooting though every nerve and my cock throbbed as each shock surged upwards from my groin, my anus twitching. I wanted him inside of me like I had taken him.

Flipping him upwards, I slid under him spreading my legs like a yoke and his cock slid between them. He grinned down at me.

"Playing rough tonight?" He said softly his eyes sparkling.

"You know what I want." I growled reaching for the lubricant.

"Devon did say he thought you were big enough to handle us." He teased reaching for the lube.

"I'm only interested in one of you."

"And you are all I am interested in now and forever." He said slipping a lubricant covered finger in my anus.

His fingers joined by two and three were like delicate probes spreading and lubricating. A slight touch of my prostate sent fire spreading upwards over every inch of me. He leaned down and kissed me his fingers slowly opening me for his massive assault. I was longer then him but he was thicker by half again and I loved it.

Lifting my legs on his shoulders it felt like I was floating in a euphoric cloud of intense ecstasy, my body tingled in anticipation as he leaned forward pushing my legs tight against my chest. I felt the head of his cock pressing against my ass and he whispered softly.

"Now baby, take it, take all I can give."

Stu pressed forward and his cock slipped down the depths of my hot chute until his full weight rested on me. My cock surged full hard and I groaned.

"Yeah babe, fuck me, fill my ass." I growled feeling his cock filling my bowels swelling hardening.

It was like we were a mare and a stallion driving, groaning, with each powerful passionate thrust of his hips meeting mine. The fires of overpowering lust consumed us as we reached the heights of a mutual climax. It was as if we had fallen into the belly of an erupting volcano and the molten lava flowed upward gushing out in thick rivers. Stu shuddered deep inside of me and almost bit my tit off. He felt like a spring that had snapped open and then recoiled drawing me with him as we collapsed him on top of me covering my sperm with his gorgeous body, cemented together again in love.

We lay quietly for a few minutes drifting in the euphoric after glow that only two men can ever experience after haven risen too the heights of homoerotic Olympus together. Two hearts that had raced together, breathing expanded and shared, two bodies becoming one in ecstasy, shared lives.

Stu's head lay next to mine, his body still covering mine. Our legs were entangled, his arms under my shoulders and mine around his.

"When did I tell you how much I love you last?" He whispered in my ear, his tongue slipping inside gently.

"You just did babe, you just did." I said pulling the sheets over us. "You just did."

We slipped of easily into sleep just as we were. During the night he slid off to the side of me but snuggled close, his arms around me, our groins pressed together tightly and I felt his lips kiss my chest.

"All orphans should feel as safe." I thought holding him tight.
