Resume:- Malcolm and Simon are two gay men who live in a homophobic English village. They have met, but have carefully concealed their sexual orientation from each other. Both have been thinking over their own personal sexual stories. In this part we continue to look at their developing relationship.

A Tale of Two Englishmen Part 7.

The autumn of 2000 saw some developments in the friendship that was growing between Simon and Malcolm.

They both went to the first day of the Oval Test Match. This time they sat together. They saw England score 221 for 5 wickets against the West Indies.

They both enjoyed the fine innings from Trescothick who scored 78 and Atherton who scored 83. They talked about the game at length on their way home.

"It's a pity we've got to wait so long for the next Test Match, Si. Next summer seems a long time away."

"I know. There's one thing I'd like to do, and that's to see the whole of a match. All five days. Have you ever done that?"

"No. Not even two days of the same match. It would be a lot of travelling up to town to see all five days of a London test."

"Unless! I've just had a thought. Why don't we go up to Manchester for a couple of days for the second Test next summer. We could see how it goes. And if we want, we could go for longer for the later Tests."

"Its Pakistan next summer, isn't it, Si? "

"Yea. Then the Aussies. Do you think the girls will let us go?"

"I think they might. We would be chaperoning each other." They both laughed.

"If it's Manchester, it'll probably rain for the whole two days."

"There's plenty to do in Manchester if it rains. The Lowry Centre and so on."

They were both silent for a moment or two. Both remembered that there was a lot of gay life in Manchester. Simon thought of saunas he would like to visit. Malcolm thought of pubs where it would be possible to meet a guy for an encounter. But both thought going with the other would put paid to anything of that kind.

So it was decided that they would go together to Manchester to see two days of the Test Match. They would stay in an hotel. When they got home they raised the suggestion with their wives and there was no problem there.

They were nearly back in Whitgest when Simon raised another matter. "I'm afraid I'll not be able to meet you in the pub on Thursday. Pat and I are going out for a meal. It's our wedding anniversary."

"September 14th your wedding anniversary?" said Malcolm with surprise.

"Yes, why?"

"It's Janice and mine as well."

"Well, I be damned! When were you married?"

"1966."

"We beat you then. We were married in 1963. Nearly 40years of penal servitude."

"The years fly by. Why don't we all celebrate together. I usually take Jan out for a meal."

"Let's meet up and don't tell them anything about us meeting up."

"Sounds fun to me. I look forward to seeing their faces."

So that was arranged, too. They met up at a pub with a reputation for excellent food in its restaurant. Malcolm and Janice had arrived first, and were in the bar. When Pat saw them she turned to Simon, "Look. Janice and Malcolm are here."

"Really?" he replied.

They walked across to where the Pridhams were standing. To the surprise of both women, Simon greeted Janice and Malcolm greeted Pat. "Congratulations on your anniversary."

There were squeals of laughter from the two ladies, as explanations were given. The evening was a success.

It was the second Tuesday in November that the Whitgest Women's Institute held its monthly meeting in the village hall.

Simon saw Pat out of the door. He turned and locked it, and breathed a sigh of relief. He was going to be alone in the house for at least a couple of hours. He made his way to his den where his computer was kept. This was something he had began to enjoy, and only wished he had more opportunities.

He went into one of the gay chat lines. He chose the Married Men's Room.

He never used his own name. He clocked in as Simsex. He described himself as 'mature, married, lonely and frustrated' He scrolled down the list of other men in the same room, reading quickly what they said about themselves. None of them particularly appealed to him. He thought he would see if any one privated him. He followed the rather desultory communication that was going on.

At the other end of the village Malcolm heard Janice call out 'goodbye' as she set off for the Women's Institute meeting. Malcolm was already on his computer playing Free Cell. The moment he heard the front door shut, he came off the game and went to that gay website he had found some weeks earlier. This was what he had been looking forward to. He knew he was guaranteed a good two and a half hours without interruption. He just hoped he could have a good hot chat with some sexy man. He too went to the Married Men's Room. He clocked in as Ironrod. He described himself as 'Ever Ready. Pvt me."

Simon was immediately informed that Ironrod had entered the room. He decided to take the plunge. He went private with this Ironrod.

[It would be confusing for me to give you their chat using their chatroom names of Simsex and Ironrod. I will just use the initial letters S for Simon, and M for Malcolm.]

The person at the door was someone collecting for a charity. Simon wished he had not gone to the door. When he got back, Ironrod was no longer in the chat room. Simon was sad that it had not been possible for the chat to have gone on longer.

As he sat in the chair he started to think back.

Yes, it had been a long while after he got married that he had another sexual encounter with a man. It must have been about 1980, when he was 43 and he been married seventeen years or so.

He had been steadily promoted in the merchant bank where he worked. His responsibilities had grown. He was then called upon to travel from time to time on business. Simon smiled to himself as he remembered Marcel. It was in Paris. Marcel was his opposite number in a Parisian bank. They were working on some financial deal between a couple of client companies. He and Marcel had worked into the early evening, finishing the details of the contract. They finished work about 7.00pm.

"Let us go and eat a meal together," suggested Marcel.

"That sounds a good idea. I'm sure you know of a good place to eat."

"I know an excellent little place. Not look much good. No tourists there, but good food and wine."

"Let's go!"

They went to the sort of place Simon would not have looked at twice. It was as Marcel had said. Excellent food and wine.

As they waited for their meal they talked together. Marcel's English was very good, but Simon's French was School Certificate level, rusty, and better at reading and writing than speaking. But he was prepared to have a go at speaking French, and Marcel tactfully helped him out when he got into difficulties. Marcel had been to England a number of times, and knew London quite well, whereas Simon hardly knew Paris at all. They talked of their countries, and the differences between them.

Their conversation moved on to their families. Marcel was unmarried, but just six weeks before his mother had died. The memory of her and her death moved him, and tears began to form in his eyes. He was embarrassed. Simon's mother had died a couple of years before, so he was able to be understanding and sympathetic. When Marcel pulled out a handkerchief to wipe away the tears, Simon reached over the table and put his hand on Marcel's for a moment.

The conversation moved on. They ate their meal.

When they left the restaurant Marcel said that he would walk back with Simon to the hotel, it was on the way back to his flat anyway. It was only a short walk, and they continued to chat affably.

As they approached at the hotel there was a sudden heavy squall of rain. They ran the last few yards to the shelter of the hotel. As they had been engaged in an earnest conversation about laws of inheritance in their two countries, Simon suggested that Marcel came up to his room.

Damp coats were removed and Marcel sat on the one easy chair, and Simon sat on the edge of the bed. They resumed the conversation about inheritance. Then Marcel started talking about his mother's estate, and what would be coming to him. That stirred his memory again. His eyes moistened, and the handkerchief was again taken out of its pocket. Simon reached across and rested his hand on Marcel's left shoulder.

"Thank you, my friend. I'm sorry about my emotions. You are most understanding."

"I know. Our feelings suddenly catch up with us when we least expect it," said Simon.

Marcel reached up with his right hand and placed it on Simon's hand. "Tomorrow you go back to London?"

Simon nodded.

"To your wife and girls?"

Simon nodded again.

Marcel sat deep in thought, with a slight frown on his face.

"What is it, Marcel? You're very thoughtful."

"I think are you one of those husband men who go with men?"

Simon looked rather surprised at this statement. "Why?"

"I think you are. Like me."

"You like men?"

"Yes. You surprised?"

"Yes, no. I don't know what to think," replied Simon.

"Are you?"

Slowly Simon nodded. "I suppose I may be. Though I have not been with a man since I got married."

Marcel smiled. "Many mans say that story. Many husbands like men also. Many like men more."

"How did you know I might be?"

"I have talked with husbands who like men more, many times."

"There is a saying in England that 'It takes one to know one.'

Marcel thought for a moment working the saying out. He grinned. "Yes. True."

They sat for a moment in silence. Marcel moved his hand, and Simon removed his from Marcel's shoulder. They sat looking at each other for a long moment.

"You are a good man, for an Englishman," said Marcel, with a broad grin on his face. He reached across and placed his hand on Simon's knee, keeping his eyes on Simon the whole time. After a while he removed his hand and sat back.

"It is a long time since a man did that to me."

"Many years?"

Simon nodded.

"You liked it?"

Simon again nodded. "It brought back some old memories."

"Good." Marcel again reached forward and placing his hand again on Simon's knee, rubbed the knee gently.

There was a growing pressure in Simon's loins. His pants felt tight. He wanted to move to give his cock room to grow, but dared not, because such a movement would call Marcel's attention to his groin.

"Your ! What do you call it in English, I do not know the word, grows?"

Simon laughed. "There are many words for it in English. One is 'cock'. And yes, it grows." He moved to give room for that growth.

"So is mine. We work together, we talk together, we eat together. We love together?"

Simon needed the briefest of moments for thought. "Yes," he whispered huskily. "It's been a long time since I have had sex with a man."

"But you not forget? I know what most men like. You know also." Marcel knelt on the floor in front of Simon. He put his other hand on Simon's other knee, and began to rub gently, slowly moving his hands up Simon's thigh.

Simon looked down and saw what he was already feeling. His trousers made a clearly defined pyramid of dark material.

"Your cock stands to welcome me." Marcel placed a hand on Simon's crotch.

"Yes. He stands to welcome you."

Marcel reached up and undid the belt that went round Simon's waist. He pulled down the zip, and pulled the tops of the trousers aside. He saw Simon's white pants taught from the pressure of risen cock. His fingers reached in and extracted Simon's cock into the light. "This Englishman has a good cock. A beautiful cock. I like it." He lent forward and kissed the head lightly.

"This Englishman wants to see his first French cock." Simon reached forward and started to take of Marcel jacket. Marcel helped him. Then Simon began to undo the buttons of Marcel's shirt. As he undid each one, some more of Marcel chest was revealed. There was a small patch of dark brown hair in the middle of the chest. When he saw them, he rubbed the back of his forefinger on each of Marcel's nipples. He pulled the shirt out of the trousers, and took it right off.

Marcel now reached up, and undid Simon's shirt button by button. He saw Simon's hairless chest, but when he saw the nipples he put his mouth to them one after the other, giving each one a lick, a kiss and then another lick with his tongue.

"I want to see your cock, Marcel. Please stand up."

Marcel stood up, and Simon undid his trousers, and pushed then down to the other man's ankles. Then he pulled down the pants. Marcel's cock stood out strong and proud.

"This Frenchman has a good cock too. I like it." Simon cupped Marcel's balls with one hand, and held the base of the cock with the other, and put his mouth to it. He kissed the tip a couple of times, tasting the small drops of precum that were there. "The Frenchman tastes good too, even better than French champagne" said Simon looking up at Marcel. He put his lips loosely on the head of Marcel's cock and then pushed his head forward so that the cock penetrated his mouth.

"You do it good. Not forgotten with the years." Then gently, but firmly, Marcel pushed Simon's face away from his cock. "No garments now." He bent down to undo his shoes and remove his socks, and the trousers and pants that were still around his ankles.

Simon did the same, so that they both stood naked in front of each other. Their hard cocks eyeing each other with only a couple of inches between them.

The two men moved together, and put their arms round each other. As if controlled by one mind their mouths met, and they kissed each other with mounting passion. Their hardened cocks were together, and ground together each wanting to feel the most of the other.

"We Frenchmen sometime say that you English not know how to make love. Maybe not know how to love womans, but you know how to love man." They resumed kissing and their hands felt each other, both delighting in the soft smoothness of the others buttocks.

When they broke apart it was only to move onto the bed. They lay side by side, and then Marcel lay on top of Simon, but when he felt his was approaching a climax, he pulled off, and then pulled Simon on top of him. But they did that once too often. It was just too much for Simon. With a groan that was both an expression for exasperation at what he considered was a premature ejaculation, and also of the gut rending pleasure of sexual release Simon's cock spasmed, shooting his hot love juice between them on to Marcel's stomach.

When Simon tried to roll off, Marcel held him firmly in place and with mounting intensity thrust upwards at Simon. Then he too had his climax, shooting his hot spunk between them, where it mixed with Simon's. They lay there, with their hearts racing, and their breath in great gasps.

"Was that good for you, Englishman?"

"Yes. Was it good for you Frenchman?"

"Very good. Are all Englishmen such good man lovers?"

"I don't know. I haven't made love to them all!"

Marcel laughed. "But you are good."

They talked together for a while longer, and then got dressed, went out for a quick drink and parted.

Two months later Simon was sitting in his office at the bank when he was handed a letter from France, marked Private. He sat looking at it with a puzzled expression on his face for a moment. Then he opened it and read:- Dear Simon, I come to London next Monday. I stay until Thursday morning. Can we meet? I will be staying at the Fergus Hotel in Bloomsbury. I come there at 4.00 in the afternoon. I hope to see you. Perhaps we go on from what we start in Paris. Love Marcel.

Simon wrote a quick reply and posted it in his lunch break. He arranged to go to the Fergus when he finished work. That evening he explained to Patricia that he would be late home on three evenings of the following week, as there was some follow up work with a man from the French bank after his visit to Paris a couple of months before. Not just work, but some corporate hospitality in return for what he had received on his Paris visit. Patricia

accepted it without question. Increasingly there were occasions when Simon had to work late. It was part of the price of promotion and the increased salary.

On the Monday afternoon he was quickly away from work, and made his way to the Bloomsbury. When he asked at the desk, he was told that he was expected, and he was directed up to Marcel's room. Marcel, warned on the internal phone, came along to the lift and welcomed Simon. They shook hands and hurried along to Marcel's room. Immediately the door was closed they were into each other's arms, and kissed.

"It has been too many days," said Marcel.

"Far too long."

Within a very short while they were both naked and on the bed. Initially their love making was intense and hasty. They both climaxed quickly.

"I have been looking forward to that for too long to hold back," said Simon.

"Now we can really enjoy, and take time."

Two hours later they showered, dressed and went out for a meal. They spent between three and four hours of the following evenings in Marcel's room. Simon was now fully aware again of the joys of making love to a man. Yes, his conscience did trouble him. He thought of Patricia, but sex between them was almost non existent now, so he did not feel he was defrauding her.

His religious conscience pricked. He considered whether it was a matter he should confess to his parish priest. He decided not to, though he was not entirely at peace about it.

Marcel returned to France, and over the next few years they saw each other about twice a year, either in Paris or London. But very soon after Marcel's return to Paris Simon decided that he would also seek pleasure nearer at hand. There began meetings first in pubs in various parts of London. Then when with the relaxation of the anti homosexual laws and the opening of saunas, he began to find his pleasures there. Only rarely did he cruise, and never went cottaging.
