Hey readers! I'm sooooooo sorry that it took a long time for me to write chapter 4! >< A lot has happened, life, work, and I finally got a boyfriend! Well did, we broke up 5 months ago. It still hurts but with the amazing support of my friends, I was able to get out of a rut that I was in for a very long time. So without further ado...here is chapter 4!

Bryan:

I finally get to go home! Today's the day, I'm so happy that I don't have to stay in the hospital much longer. Nurse Katelyn said that I would be discharged at 2 pm, and Drew told me that he would be here at around 1 pm to get my things ready for my wonderful trip back home. I'm sort of having some reservations about going back to that house. Memories of that night came back, but instead of being the helpless victim I took it in stride. Yeah, what happened to me was wrong in so many ways but I cannot dwell on it. One bad thing cannot compare to the many great things that I have in my life. Drew and Dana have been amazing to me, without them...I don't know what or where I would be. I was taken out of my deep thought with a soft tapping on the door.

"Hey babe! How are you feeling? Excited that you get to get out of here?" Drew said as he was entering my room.

"Hi, I'm really stoked that I don't get to eat hospital food anymore! Can we stop by like McDonald's or something?"

"Sure thing." He said with a smile. We hung out for about an hour, Drew-bear was watching T.V while Nurse Katelyn was helping me get dressed, I didn't really need the help but come on...when's the next time I'll have someone dress me again?

We pulled up to the driveway, "this is it." I thought. After all that thinking I did at the hospital, let's see if I can follow through. I unbuckled my seat belt and opened the door. As I stepped out, I saw Drew carrying my bag along with the copious amount of food I ordered from good ol' Mickey D's.

"Babe, let me carry something. I'm not hurt that bad. I can do stuff. Besides, it looks weird that you have a bag of food in your mouth, holding the drinks and you holding my bag. Come on." I walked over to him and it was kinda hard to understand because he was trying to talk while the bag of food was still in his mouth. If I heard correctly, he said that he's got it. That made me smile, I love how goofy he is. I took the bag out of his mouth and grabbed the keys out of his hand.

"I told you Bry that I got it."

"Um...right..." Smiling at him. It feels good to be back home with him here by my side. I know that it seems mushy right now, but that's how our relationship is. It's still new, and we just went through something horrible together. It brought us even closer that I don't even know if there would be anything that can break us.

I walked in to the kitchen with Andrew behind me, I sat down and started taking the food out. Even though I spent little time at the hospital, I couldn't stand the food...I even had an argument with the nurse, trying to bribe her to get me real food. I wouldn't say McDonald's is real food, but it's a start. Drew and I ate in silence, I looked at him and I can tell that something was wrong.

"Drew-bear...is there something on your mind?"

"A lot of things babe, so many things are going through my head right now." He said staring at his fries.

"You wanna talk about it? I mean we don't have to if you're not ready to."

"It's nothing bad, with you almost being beaten to death and telling mom and dad that I love you..."

"Wait?! What?! You parents know about us?" I was shocked that he told them.

"That's why I was late coming over the day you were attacked. My dad wanted to talk about us. At first he didn't think that being together was a good idea, I couldn't let him win this argument. So I finally told him that I'm in love with you and if him and mom had a problem then I would move out."

"Andrew. I don't know what to say."

"Wait, it gets better. They want to meet you."

"Oh no. Why? When?" I started panicking. I wasn't in the best condition to meet anyone's parents.

"Calm down Bry." He said calmly and with a smile. "They know about you and the incident, so they thought that Thanksgiving would be a perfect time to have you meet them."

"Ok. Um, can my parents come? They're always here during the major holidays and it's not Thanksgiving without them."

"I'll let my parents know. I'm sure they won't mind. I'm glad that all of our parents know about us. We can be ourselves around them. One more thing, if you ever come to my house we have to make sure that my mom or dad are around. They're still getting used to the fact that we're together."

"No probs babe. I'll try really hard to keep my hands off of you during Thanksgiving dinner. Alright lets eat! I'm starved!"

Andrew has been "living" with me for the past 2 and half weeks to make sure that I was doing ok after my discharge from the hospital. He was like a mom and a dad. Making sure that I was eating, basically making sure that I was taking care of myself. Did we have any sexy time? NOPE! He wanted to make sure that I was at 100% and even then he wanted me to really think if I was ready. Damn him! Haha. I did have a great time spending time with him, it feels like we've known each other forever. When Drew thought that I was ready to be on my own he was going to go back to his home. As much as I didn't want him to leave, I had to let him go because my parents were coming home for the holidays and I wanted to spend some time with them before we all get together for dinner. They were both coming in the day before Thanksgiving. I'm really nervous to see them because they haven't seen me since I started going out with Andrew. The times when I did get to talk to them and they seemed genuinely happy that we're together.

The parents come home today. The dinner is tomorrow. FUCK! I'm so not ready. No matter how many times Drew tells me that everything will be ok, I still get antsy at the fact that I'll be meeting his parents for the first time and vice-versa. I've never had to go through this before. I'm just overreacting right now. Just breathe Bryan...breathe. I looked at my watch and they should arrive home soon. I cannot wait to see them!

"Bryan? Honey? Are you home?"

"Mom? MOM!!!!" I ran towards the door like a bat out of hell!

"Hi sweetheart. How's my little Bry-Bry doing?" She said smiling at me.

"I'm...I'm good mom." Trying to hold back my tears.

"Honey, don't cry. You're going to make me cry. I know that you don't want us gone all the time, but you know that we're doing this for you right? Believe me when I say that it kills me that I'm not here with you celebrating your birthday, or making you breakfast...or being a mom for you."

"I know mom. I know. It's just that I miss you guys so much. I'm so happy that you're here. Where's dad?"

"Right behind you son." I turned around and there he was, I'll always be daddy's little son.

"DAD!" I ran up to him to give the biggest hug ever! "Welcome home dad!"

"It's good to be home Bryan. Have you cause any trouble for Maile or Charlotte? (Our housekeepers)" He asked

"No dad. I actually gave them some vacation time ever since..." I had to stop myself there. I hope he didn't catch that.

"Ever since what?" He questioned me.

"Oh. Hah. Nothing."

"Ever since you and Andrew started dating?" Rats! He caught me!

"Yeah." I blushed

"Are you both using protection?" My mom asked totally out of the blue.

"MOM!"

"Lillian!"

"What? I have to make sure that they're being safe."

"Ma...you've been home for like 5 minutes and I'm already being grilled? It's kinda weird that we're having this conversation. And for your information, Drew isn't like that. He's very respectful."

"That's what I like to hear son." Dad said as he was picking his bags up and went upstairs. "Alright let's all get ready and go out to dinner, your mom and I have some news to tell you."

"Am I finally getting a brother or a sister?" I asked sarcastically. I looked over at my mom and gave me the 'maybe, maybe not' look. Oh man.

Now, my family may be rich we still enjoy the simple things. Our favorite place to have dinner is Outback Steakhouse. Yes, the Outback. We've been going here for years and why break tradition?

"So what's the news that you have to tell me?" I said as I stuff my face with steak.

"Well Bryan..." My dad started. "Your mom and I decided to take a month vacation and come back home." I instantly dropped my knife and fork looking at the both of them as my mouth is filled with meat. My mom loved the face that I was giving them.

"Yes Bryan, dad and I want to be home with you. We both worked so hard that taking a month off is nothing to them at the office. I know for you it means a lot, also it's nothing compared to when we were home a lot. It's a start right?" Mom smiled at me. All I can do is just look at them with tears in my eyes. A whole month?! I would be lucky if they were able to stay for a day and a half.

"I'm so happy mom. I don't know what to say! I can't wait to tell Andrew!"

"Speaking of Andrew...how serious are the both of you?" Dad asked

"Well, we've been going out for only 3 weeks. Next week will be our one month. I can honestly say that I do love him. I'm in love with him dad."

"In love? Are you sure? Doesn't it seem a little too soon?" Mom said.

"I know, I know. That thought never crossed my mind. It just happened I guess. I can't really explain it. We just have this connection. He makes me happy, he makes me feel safe. He doesn't care that I'm just some nerd, or that I have money. When he tells me that he loves me, I get goosebumps overtime." My parents just looked at me and smiled. I don't know how I have very understanding parents. "Oh! Mom, dad. We're gonna have Thanksgiving dinner with Andrew and his parents. Is that ok with you?"

"Of course Bryan. I'll make my famous cheesecake for dessert!"

"Extra strawberries!" My dad and I chimed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Andrew:

I can smell Thanksgiving all over the house. The smell of turkey in the oven, pies, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes...I cannot wait to eat! I can't wait to meet Bryan's parents as well. Bryan told me about the dinner they had last night and I'm really happy that his parents are staying for a bit to be with him. I'm kind of jealous that Bry's mom and dad are understanding of him being gay. Mine are still working on it, getting better each day. I look at the clock and I told Bryan to be at the house at 5. He asked what he should wear because it's Thanksgiving and that he'll be meeting my mom and dad. I told him to wear something that's semi-formal I guess. Nothing too over the top. Mom made so much food for only 6 people, but knowing my appetite and Bryan's she should've made more...ha! As if on cue I heard the door bell ring.

"I'll get it!" I yelled to mom in the kitchen. I opened the door and I just stopped dead in my tracks. His whole family is gorgeous! His mom is in a beautiful knee length black dress, wavy chocolate brown hair that reached her shoulders and I hope Bryan doesn't kill me but she has a nice rack to boot. His dad is very handsome, in a light blue button up with a canary yellow silk tie and khakis. You can tell that his dad works out, his body is slammin'!. His hair is short, with a little salt and pepper sprinkled through out. I look over at Bryan and I had to catch my breath. He looked perfect, white button up with the top 3 buttons undone. Black beater underneath. His sleeves are rolled up to the elbows and sporting a silver Rolex. Black slacks, and hair is slicked back. I couldn't stop staring at them.

"Um. Andrew...it's kind of cold outside. May we come in?" Bryan asked with a slight smile across his face. God, was he sexy. I was snapped out of it.

"Of course. I'm sorry. Please come in." The trio walked in, and my mom and dad came to meet us in the foyer. My father was first to speak up.

"Hello, I'm Peter. This is my wife Jessica and my son Andrew. Very pleased to meet you." He walked up to Bryan's dad and gave him a firm handshake.

"Thank you for having us over, I'm Burke. This is my wife Lillian and our son Bryan."

"Oh, Lillian you didn't have to bring anything tonight. You are our guests." Mom stated

"It's ok. I haven't made this cheesecake in ages so I thought that tonight would be a perfect time. Trust me, one bite and you'll ask for more." Bryan's mom said.

"Sounds delicious, shall we go to the salon and have a few drinks?"

"Lead the way." Our parents left to the salon, which meant Bryan and I had a few moments to be alone.

"Hey babe." I said as leaned in for a kiss.

"Mmm...Drew-bear, you look amazing tonight."

"You don't look too bad yourself. I miss being with you everyday, but I'm really glad that your parents are home with you."

"I miss you too. A lot actually, I never got to thank you for what you've done for me and um..."

"What babe?" I asked.

"Nothing, just thank you." He smiled and kissed me again. I can tell something is up but I can't put my finger on it.

"BOYS! Dinner's ready!" Dad said from the salon. I can't wait to eat! I've been waiting all day to eat! I cannot wait to try some of that cheesecake.

Bryan:

We all sat down at the dinner table, the spread was amazing. I've never seen so much food and it's for 6 people! I was thinking back to the conversation that Andrew and I had earlier...I almost spoiled the surprise. I planned a little getaway for me and him during winter break. Well it's just not Drew and I, but Dana and some guy she's talking to and her cousin. I planned to go to Colorado to do some skiing/snowboarding, romantic dinners, hot tub sessions. I can't wait! 2 and a half weeks to go and I'm going to surprise him after dinner. Speaking of dinner, I need to stop daydreaming!

"Isn't that right Bryan?" My mom asked.

"Huh?"

"Nice to know that you're now part of this conversation."

"Funny mom. What did you ask?"

"That you sang once you came out of the womb."

"Mom...you know that I don't like talking about that. Only you and dad, Dana and Andrew heard me sing."

"You know what Mrs. Nichols, Bryan wants to move to L.A or New York to go to school for singing." Andrew added...shit...I didn't want to tell them yet.

"Is that true Bryan?" Dad asked. I guess I can't avoid it.

"Yeah...I do. I want to perform. I love doing it, you told me yourself that I'm a different person when I'm on stage."

"Whatever you want to do you know that we'll support you." Dad said.

"Thanks." I said sheepishly.

"So, Bryan..." Mrs. Wright began. "How did you and Andrew meet?" Here we go!

"Well, I've noticed him since middle school actually. He was and still is the popular guy. We never had any classes then till we got to high school." I told them the history between myself, Andrew and his douchebag of a friend.

"That's horrible Bryan. I'm really glad that you're together." Mrs. Wright said.

"I'm glad too mom, Bryan has been nothing but amazing to me. He's taught me a lot about myself. I really do love him." Hearing Andrew say that he loves me in front of his parents as well as mine blew me away.

"I love him too." I said and then I showed them the ring he gave me. I hate wearing jewelry so I found a chain and put the ring on it so it's a necklace. "Don't worry it's only a promise ring mom and dad."

The dinner went without a hitch, the conversation got easier afterwards. I love his parents. They are so nice, and they seem to be getting along with mom and dad. At the end of dinner we had pumpkin pie and cheesecake. I don't know where all the extra room came from but I had 2 slices of each. Well, this is it! I'm about to tell Andrew the surprise.

"Can I have everyone's attention? So...I just want to tell everyone that Andrew coming into my life..." I started to tear up. "Has been a blessing, he's done so much for me. Taking care of me when I got out of the hospital, been the best friend, and boyfriend that I needed. So, to show him my appreciation, Drew-bear, we're going to Colorado for winter break."

"Really?! You know that you don't have to do that. I did all of that because I do love you."

"I know, but just think though. Me, you, the slopes. Oh yeah, Dana, Rick and Dana's cousin Chris."

"Rick? Are they talking? I've never met Chris before."

"Yeah they're talking, and Joe's from Australia. He's visiting for a couple weeks."

"Oh ok. Awesome. Thank you so much. I can't wait to get away with you."

"Me too. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Wright for dinner. It was delicious!

"You're welcome Bryan. Any time. Burke and Lillian, don't be strangers! Come over and have drinks with us anytime you want!" Andrew's dad said.

It was getting late so we decided to call it a night. I told mom and dad to wait while I said goodbye to Andrew.

"Bry...you never cease to surprise me. Something new everyday. I never thought that we would spend a whole week together away. I'm scared though."

"Scared of what?"

"What would happen if this feeling went away? The feeling of that want and need to be with each other everyday?"

"Drew, that's perfectly normal. We've been together for about a month now and it's still new. Just because the feeling of a "new" relationship might go away, that doesn't mean that we don't love each other. It's going to show us that we don't need to be with one another everyday, that we can trust each other. No questions asked. Don't get me wrong, I love being with you everyday, but that feeling is going to go away."

"Are you sure that it won't be a bad thing? I mean not having that need?"

"Babe, I love you very much. You're a part of me that I will never let go. I thought about it, and I was scared. I realize that we have to balance being in the relationship and our lives outside of it. Don't worry about anything. As long as we both know that we are on the same page about everything, truthful about everything then I know that we are going to be stronger than ever. That trust is very important, once there is a little crack in the foundation it's going to take a lot of work to repair that crack. Just promise me that what ever is on your mind about us that we would talk about it. No matter how miniscule it is, tell me. Communication is everything, and I promise to do the same."

"I promise. It looks like your parents are ready to go. I love you, see you at school."

"I love you too Drew-bear. I'll call you when I get home, talk to you soon ok?" I said, and with that I kissed him gently on the lips and headed to my parents' car.

On the way back to my house I couldn't stop thinking of what Drew said. It is normal to have those feelings of being new go away. It's not a bad thing right?
