Westlife Romance - Part 32
Bryan charged towards Kian and began throwing devastating punches. Unlike the previous night, there was no struggle from Kian, who just let Bryan take his fury out on him. The attack would have continued if Shane and Mark hadn't stopped Bryan.
"What are you trying to do, Bryan?" Shane yelled. "Killing Kian won't accomplish anything!"
"Just calm down, Bryan," Mark added as he restrained the still furious Bryan.
"Let him hit me," Kian begged as tears began to fall again. "I deserve it, I deserve it!!"
Shane felt his heart go out to Kian again. This time, he was sure that Kian was sincere in his regret. Unfortunately, there was no way to repair the damage already done.
"If you're really sorry for what you did, there are better ways of showing it," Mark replied. "Prove to yourself and to Nicky that you're truly sorry."
As Shane and Mark released Bryan from their hold, he stormed into the room that he shared with Nicky, only to find it empty. "Oh God!!" Bryan exclaimed in despair.
"What is it??" Shane asked as he ran into the room. "Where's Nicky??"
"I don't know!! He was here before I went to breakfast!!" Bryan answered frantically as he searched the room for any notes that Nicky might have left behind.
"Stop panicking," Mark urged. "Let's go out and look for him. He couldn't have gone far."
With that, the four lads split up to look for Nicky. Bryan was in tears and Kian was determined to make up for his past wrongs. Shane was still torn between his sympathy to Kian and his feelings of guilt towards Nicky. Mark was trying his best to remain calming, seeing how distraught the rest of the lads were.
As Kian walked into his room to grab his wallet, he saw Derek waiting for him on his bed. "I've missed you, baby," Derek greeted Kian seductively.
"I don't have time for this now, Derek," Kian answered flatly.
Derek got up and wrapped his arms around Kian. "What's the matter, baby? You can tell me anything."
Kian pushed Derek away. "I already told you, I have things to do."
Derek ignored Kian's cold attitude and wrapped one arm around his waist, pulling the blond lad close. "I only want to help, Kian," he said.
"I don't need you to help, Derek. You've helped quite enough already," Kian answered coldly.
As Kian spoke, Derek grabbed Kian's hair with his free hand and leaned in close. "Don't you EVER talk to me that way again, Kian Egan."
Kian was taken aback with Derek's assertiveness, but Derek wasn't finished.
"I've had quite enough of your pathetic attitude. You've had so many good fucks in your pathetic life, maybe it's time for you to be someone else's boytoy for a change."
Kian tried to struggle free but Derek's hold did not loosen. "You think I really love you, Kian? I have only one purpose for you. And that's to make your life miserable, to make you my pathetic toy, so that you'd get a taste of your own medicine."
"Fuck you, Derek. You're dreaming," Kian replied defiantly.
"You make me angry and I'll just have to tell the police that you raped your own bandmate," Derek whispered in Kian's ear.
The blond lad's face lost all its colour as he heard Derek's threat.
"Didn't think I knew?" Derek asked with an evil tone of voice. "One wrong move and you can kiss your career goodbye. Worse, you can kiss your precious Nicky's career goodbye too."
"You wouldn't dare..." Kian answered in a defiant voice.
"Try me, Egan," Derek threatened. Somehow, Kian knew Derek wasn't joking. He couldn't believe how events have turned against him. Not only has he alienated his bandmates, but now he had to deal with Derek.
"That's right, Kian. You've had your fun and now it's time to pay up. From now on, I'll fuck you when I want. And you'll suck me when I tell you to. Is that clear?"
Kian knew the situation was hopeless. He nodded silently, only to feel Derek's hand strike his face. "Answer me!!" Derek hollered.
"Yes, Derek. Everything's clear," Kian answered softly, his eyes on the floor.
"Much better," Derek replied. Now scram and go find your precious Nicky. With that, Kian dejectedly left the room, not believing the events that had just transpired.
The morning gave way to the warm afternoon, which eventually gave way to a cool evening. The four Westlife lads searched all over the city for Nicky with no success. As the skies darkened, Shane suggested that everyone meet back at the hotel to discuss what to do next. Bryan was in full panic mode and Kian was in a total emotional mess. Mark could feel his own sense of calm weakening to an increasingly strong sense of panic.
As Mark walked back towards the hotel, he came across a small park. He looked at all the couples walking in the park and momentarily wished he had what these couples had. He wished he didn't have to be alone. Snapping back to reality, he realized that now wasn't the time to dream. He was about to leave when he heard the sound of a fountain. He walked into the park and towards the fountain. He could see someone sitting by a large tree. Although he could not see the face, he was sure that it was Nicky. He walked slowly towards the figure and sure enough, it was Nicky.
He took out his mobile and called Shane. "Shane, it's Mark."
