"Um Ry are you ok?" Jen asked coming through the sliding door out of the back yard. My head snapped up as soon as I heard her voice. I blinked back the new tears running down my checks. And put on a fake half smile.

"Yeah I'm fine." I replied.

"No your not. What's wrong and where did you met Justin and Jc?" She asked walking over to me and wiping my checks dry.

"It's a long story. How about I make dinner and I'll tell you it while we eat it." I suggested. Actually I was trying to by myself time so I could figure out what I should say, that and I was kinda hungry considering I only had a coffee to eat all day.

"No you don't. I know your procrastinating with me and it wont work. So lets sit and talk. If you're really that hungry get a box of crackers." Jen smiled. I laughed; it was our little inside joke. If anything was wrong then you eat a box of crackers. If you're sick eat some crackers, if you broke your leg eat crackers.

"Fine." I sighed as Jen dragged me over to my coach. I reluctantly sat down on it. I sighed it still smelt like Josh.

"Ok where do you want me to start?" I asked as I leaned into the soft fabric.

"The beginning usually is the most common place." Jen smiled.

"Smart ass." I groaned.

"You say that likes its supposed to be a bad thing." She grinned. I laughed, for the first time that day I smiled a genuine smile.

"Ok am I going to have to separate you two or are you going to shut up and let Ry tell the story?" Alex broke in. I stuck my tongue out at Jen who did the same to me.

"Fine I give up." Alex sighed.

"No, no we'll stop. I met Josh on the plane back from Orlando...." I proceeded to tell them what happened. Of course skipping some cough cough inappropriate parts. By the end of my tale Jen had on her "I'm so sorry that had to happen to a sweet guy like you look" and Alex had his "Dude that sucks" look.

"It's not that bad guys geese. With the looks you're giving me it seems like my grandma just died. Lighten up already. Well I'm hungry for actual food so why don't we go get some pizza or something?" I suggested.

"Sounds good." Jen agreed. The rest of the week went by fast. I had to watch Jen 24/7 to make sure she didn't hurt herself; I swear she's almost as bad as my students. Nothing really out of the ordinary happened

...Until the last day, well night really. Alex, Jen and I decided to stay in and order pizza and watch a movie. Jen was trying to persuade Alex that we should watch Charlie's Angels instead of Star Wars. I laughed as I listen to her whine for the billionth time that he had watched it thousands of times before. I was in the kitchen getting a soda for them as well as myself when my phone rang. I sighed as I answered it, expecting it to be my mom she always calls me on Sunday nights for some odd reason, I think going to church makes her feel guilty that she hasn't called me in a week or something like that.

"Hello?" I asked expecting to my mom's high-pitched voice saying 'hiya honey.'

But I didn't.

"Hello?" a mans voice asked. I knew in an instant that it was him. Josh. My Josh. No. Bobbies Josh.

"Josh!" I yelled walking into the living room. Jen turned around and looked at me strangely.

"Hi Ry." He replied. I smiled at the sound of his sweet voice despite how much I didn't want to.

"What's up?" I questioned flopping back onto the soft cushions of the couch. Jen and Alex had stopped fighting and where watching me.

"Not much just seeing how you were doing. I miss you." He replied sadly. His tone almost broke my heart...again. NO! You don't even like him, why do you care? It's harder than it looks to not care about someone so perfect, and sweet, and gentle, and hot!

"Jen and Alex are just annoying me, ya know being so cute and couplish." I replied and received a pillow in the head from both of them.

"Oh I'm sorry I never got a chance to met either of them. They sound like nice people." He said sniffling, which I found odd, but hey Josh was odd.

"They are, when they're not throwing pillows at you!" I said loudly, emphasizing my point. Jen and Alex just laughed.

"SO what are your plans for tonight?" Josh asked, making small talk.

"It's Jen and Alex's last day so we're staying in and watching STAR WARS." I smiled when Jen hit me again.

"Sounds like fun." Josh smiled. I missed that smile, sigh. Then the doorbell rang.

"Hold on the pizza's here." I said hugging the phone to my ear. I grabbed my wallet and headed to the front of my door. I opened to door and there stood Josh, soaking wet, with his cell phone to his ear. I was shocked. I stood there with my mouth hanging open, blinking.

"I'm going to have to call you back I have a...a friend." I stammered. What else could I call him? I turned off my phone while he turned off his cell.

"So whatcha doing here?" I asked, inviting him inside.

"I broke up with Bobbie." He replied walking though my door and into the living room where Jen and Alex sat wide-eyed at my visitor.

"Oh...I'm sorry." I said. What else could I say? 'That's so cool!'

"No don't be. It's one of the best decisions I've made." He smiled.

"Oh, and why's that?" I questioned. Could this be true? Was he coming on to me...again? No don't get to close you idiot! Hello he hurt you once he'll do it again!

"Because now I feel free. Like I can be myself and go after what I actually want." He answered stepping closer to me. We were only like a foot apart now.

"And what do you want?" I asked, suddenly conscience that we had an audience. I turned to Jen and raised my eyebrows. She got the message and dragged Alex upstairs with her. I turned my attention back to Josh.

"You." Was his only response before his lips were on mine. I closed my eyes and leaned into the kiss. I had forgotten how soft and sweet tasting Josh's lips were. If I hadn't known better I would have sworn he wore lip-gloss. My brain finally registered what my body was doing and I pulled away from him.

"What...what are you doing?" I stuttered.

"Kissing you." He smiled. "Isn't that what we just did called?"

"No I mean, why are you kissing me?" I asked. Gosh I must sound like I'm some insecure 16 year-old.

"Because I like you Ry and I want you to be my boy friend." He answered stepping forward and taking my hands in his.

"And you just expect me to say yes? After telling me you have a girl friend and breaking my heart you think you can just waltz in here and sweep me off my feet?" I inquired throwing my hands in the air to add drama. What can I say; I'm a drama queen.

"Well ya." He said bowing his head a little in defeat. I smiled.

"Well you're right." I whispered. I am so pathetic, doing anything a hot, sweet, wonderful guy asks. Boy are you whipped. He raised his head and smiled the biggest smile I have ever scene. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my temple.

"Boy are you lucky you're hot otherwise you might not have been so lucky." I laughed as he hugged me closer.

"Oh so I'm just eye candy to you?" he laughed, stepping back a little.

"Yeah. You got a problem with that?" I teased pulling him closer to me.

"Nope, just making sure I know were I stand." He smiled.

"You're so much more than eye candy to me." I beamed back at him and softly kissed his nose.

"That was cheesy." He chuckled.

"Yeah well everyone needs some cheese in their life sometimes." I grinned. "Besides it add flavor." I said before kissing his lips.

"Is the cost clear?" Jen yelled from the top of the stairs. I laughed, great timing Jen.

"Yeah." I sighed as I rested my forehead on Josh's.

"So is this the Josh I've heard so much about?" Jen asked approaching us.

"Yep this is Josh. Josh this is my insane best friend Jen." I introduced.

"Pleasure to met ya." Josh smiled pulling one of his hands off my waist and offering it to Jen to shake.

"Right back to ya." Jen replied shaking his hand. Alex walked up behind Jen and wrapped his arms around Jens waist.

"Josh this is Jen's boy friend Alex. Alex this is my boy friend Josh." I smiled. I liked the sound of that, 'Josh is my boy friend'.

"Nice to finally met ya." Alex smiled shaking Josh's hand. Jen leaned over to my ear and whispered, "He's hot."

"Well duh Jen." I laughed. Josh just looked at me strangely.

"Oh she just said you were hot." I explained.

"RY!" Jen laughed smacking my shoulder. Then the doorbell rang.

"Pizza's here. Josh can ya stay for dinner?" I asked hopefully.

"Of course." He grinned.

"Great you guys can head into the kitchen while I get the pizza." I smiled walking towards the door. I smiled that lap sided grin that you get whenever something really good happens in your life, ya know when you get a promotion, or you get laid or something, to myself. Silently chanting thank you God to myself. Life was good. Not scratch that, life was great. No life was perfect

...Like paradise. Yeah welcome to paradise Ry. I hoped my stay would be a long one.
