Chapter 3

Harry wasn't sure what had woken him up but as he tried to get back to sleep he heard whimpering coming from the bed over the other side of the room.

"Malfoy?" he whispered as he got up and began to walk over to his bed.

"No, I'm sorry father, I'm sorry," Malfoy mumbled in his sleep as Harry approached his bed quietly.

"Malfoy!" Harry hissed, trying to wake the boy from what was obviously a nightmare. The room was very dark but surprisingly Harry had no problem seeing as he walked. He reached the bed and placed his hand on Draco's chest, he kept it there for a moment before he started to tap his chest, trying to wake him.

"Malfoy!" Harry hissed again and this time Draco opened his eyes and looked at Harry who was shocked when he saw tears pouring down the blond boy's face.

"Potter!" Malfoy hissed back, "What the hell are you doing?"

"Are you alright?" Harry asked, moving back a step as Draco glared at him. For a moment Harry thought that Draco must have been awake when he put his hand on his chest and was terrified that he was found out. If Draco knew that he was gay then Harry was sure that he wouldn't have any qualms about spreading the news all over Hogwarts.

"Yes I'm alright!" Malfoy replied as he glared at the boy standing over him. "Now go back to sleep Potter and don't wake me again," he said as he rolled over.

Harry muttered to himself as he walked back to his bed, "Just trying to help, there's no need to thank me," he said as he got back into his bed and pulled the sheets over himself.

***

A cloaked figure that seemed so familiar, laughing as he witnessed you killing your first victim. A moment that has haunted you for 600 hundred years. He is laughing and then joins in as you both drain the life from the only person you've ever loved...

Liam sprung up out of his bed with his wand in hand. The dream had seemed so real, he thought to himself as he sat back down on his bed and began to sob as the memories came flooding back to him for the umpteenth time tonight.

"He's back, that dream is definite proof. I need to talk to Albus," he said to himself as he got up and got dressed quickly.

***

Harry... Harry Potter...

Harry found himself in a room, sitting in a large armchair facing another person wearing a cloak. The only sound that could be heard was the fire roaring in the fire place, Harry wondered where he was for a moment but when the cloaked figure across from him spoke it sent shivers down his spine.

"So let me get this straight, you want me to help you kill a young boy and a 160 year old man?" the figure asked.

"Yes," replied Harry. "You may think that that's amusing but Albus Dumbledore is the strongest wizard in England and probably the world and Harry Potter, well he has a very annoying habit of surviving."

"And tell me, `Lord Voldemort'," the figure said the name like it was some sort of a joke. "What will you do when your two greatest adversaries are out of the way?"

"I will build a new wizarding world, and will live for ever with your help," Harry/Voldemort replied.

The figure let out a loud laugh that sent shivers down Harry's spine. "Nothing lasts forever Thomas, I have lived for over two thousand years and have seen Kingdoms come and go, I've seen men's dreams achieved and then lost in the sands of time. Even if I do teach you ancient magic you still won't live forever."

"Well," Harry/Voldemort replied, "I did consider asking you to turn me but I'd rather stay a wizard, it wouldn't be good for my reputation. But I have read of an ancient spell that grants the caster immortality, and I'm asking for your help. I survived the Avada Kedavra once and it took me over fourteen years to return to my former glory, I can't afford another setback. "

"Ah... Impressive Thomas, I do know of such a spell, and how to cast it. It will take a lot of preparation and a few... sacrifices. However there is something you don't understand, we vampires can be killed by the killing curse, however we need to be weakened first. But tell me this, why should I help you?" the figure asked.

"Well, you can have whatever you want," replied Harry/Voldemort.

"Hmmm..." the figure said, after a few moments he said "I desire nothing, I have lived for over 2 millennia and have experienced everything there is to experience. But I am bored, so I'll make you a deal, I'll help you and you can provide me with all the victims I want."

"Very well," said Harry/Voldemort who was feeling a surge of joy, "We have a deal then vampire."

"Call me Cassius," the figure replied as he took off his cloak to reveal a man who looked around twenty. He had short, curly strawberry blond hair and cold blue eyes that contained no emotion. Harry immediately recognized the man as the vampire that attacked him and Draco in Knockturn Alley.

"The Potter boy shouldn't be too hard to take out," he said as he smiled at Harry/Voldemort. "After all I did create him and I can enter his dreams just like I did to another one of my creations tonight."

"You're referring to the Dueling Professor?" Harry/Voldemort asked as Cassius laughed,

"Yes, he'll be shocked to discover that I'm still alive. He thought he killed me four hundred years ago and I'll admit that he came close, closer than anyone's ever been, but it still wasn't enough."

Suddenly Harry woke with a start for the second time that night. He was obviously looking through the eyes of Lord Voldemort wherever he was hiding, but how? As Harry glanced around trying to come up with a reason why he was dreaming about Lord Voldemort he noticed that Draco wasn't in his bed.

"I wonder what Malfoy is up to?" he asked himself as all thoughts about his dream left his head and he took the Marauders Map out of his trunk.

***

Albus Dumbledore was sitting in his office, he was a tad annoyed at being woken up at this hour but he knew that Liam only would have woken him for something important; anything else could have waited until breakfast tomorrow. He noticed the traces of tears in Liam's eyes as he had walked into his office and knew that something had gone horribly wrong.

"He's back," said Liam, breaking Albus from his thoughts.

"I take it you mean Cassius?" replied Dumbledore.

"Yes, I don't know how he survived but he's back. He visited me in my dream tonight like he used to before I had supposedly killed him."

Albus sighed to himself, all of this had happened even before HE was born and that fact irritated him for some reason. He's never met Cassius but from what Liam has told him in the past, he means trouble, big trouble.

"So what are we going to do?" asked Liam.

"We'll do the only thing we can do," replied Albus "Wait."

"Wait?" said Liam in disbelief.

"We have no idea where he is or what his intentions are Liam, so all we can do now is wait."

"Knowing him his intention will be to cause chaos wherever he goes," said Liam with a look of disgust on his face. "Tomorrow I'll ask Harry and Draco about their dreams since Cassius is their creator too; maybe he visited them as well. Also I think with their accelerated thirst they'll have to feed tomorrow."

"I've already contacted a muggle hospital and blood will be here tomorrow, I just hope the boys can control their thirst" said Albus with a worried expression on his face.

"They can," replied Liam with a smile, "I learnt how to control mine didn't I?"

Dumbledore smiled, "Yes, and I'm sure that Mr. Potter and Mr. Malfoy will have no problems. Goodnight Professor Varslier," Albus said as he got up out of his seat.

"Goodnight Professor Dumbledore," replied Liam as he also got up out of his seat and left the headmasters office.

As Draco looked down at the view offered by the Astronomy Tower he felt a stray tear slowly streak down the side of his face.

"Malfoy's don't cry," he whispered to himself as he remembered one of his fathers many quotes as he was beating him. All Draco ever wanted to do was make his father proud, he dressed like him, acted like him and even talked like him but Lucius never ever recognized Draco, he only ever saw him as a disappointment. Maybe he knew deep down that Draco was gay and resented him for it. As Draco stepped up on the edge of the tower, he began to sob as he thought about how his life had been completely messed up since that day in Knockturn Alley.

Of course he'd also gotten Potter involved and Draco was mystified as to why Harry actually helped him but he knew that he could never understand Gryffindor bravery, he was a cunning, evil Slytherin, just like his father. As he stared down at the lake, the forbidden forest and Hagrid's hut he thought about Harry Potter, the boy he hated to please his father but the boy he was hopelessly in love with.

As Draco readied himself to jump he stopped crying and wiped the tears out of his eyes,

"If I'm going to die then at least I'm going to die like a Malfoy," he said to himself as he put his foot right on the edge...

"Draco!"

***

Harry hurried through the hallways of Hogwarts on his way to the Astronomy Tower where the marauders map said Draco was. He didn't need to bring his invisibility cloak as a quick glance at the map had told him that Peeves was flying around in the trophy room and Filtch and Mrs. Norris were in Filtch's office.

"What are you up to Draco?" Harry asked himself as he climbed the stairs to the Astronomy Tower.

When he reached the top he was shocked to see Draco right on the edge of the tower, and it looked like he was ready to jump!

"Draco!" he yelled.

Malfoy turned around and looked at Harry, Harry was expecting him to tell him to get lost but Draco just gave him a sad look and turned back around.

"Malfoy, what are you doing?" Harry asked him as he approached him cautiously, not wanting to scare him.

"I bet you're happy now, aren't you Potter?" Malfoy said, still looking out at the lake.

"What?" replied Harry, wondering what the hell was going on.

"You won," continued Malfoy, "I'm finished. I'm not going insult you anymore. I know this probably means nothing to you but I'm sorry," he said as he began to cry. Harry nearly fainted in shock, Malfoy apologizing!

"I only ever was mean to you and your friends to please my father and now he's disowned me. Now everybody in the school hates me, it only used to be the three other houses but now that Slytherin hates me too," he sighed, "There's no point in going on anymore."

"Malfoy, don't do this," Harry said as he tried to get closer to him.

"Don't come any closer!" Malfoy yelled and Harry stopped moving, "There's no need for your Gryffindor bravery here Potter. I want to end all of the pain and suffering on my own terms."

"Malfoy," Harry began, "Please, don't do this."

At that moment Draco turned around and gave Harry a smile, it wasn't one of his smirks it was a true smile and it hypnotized Harry who was overwhelmed by the beauty of this bond enigma standing in front of him.

"I really don't understand you Harry Potter," he continued as he watched Harry with a smile. "Why do you risk yourself for others time and time again? Why are you so nice to everybody? Why are you so...? Oh fuck it!" he said loudly as he jumped off the edge of the tower and ran over to Harry. Harry put up his guard, expecting Malfoy to try and hit him, what he wasn't expecting was Malfoy to press his lips to his! Malfoy kissed him for a few moments and then withdrew and looked at Harry waiting for a response. Harry was too shocked to say anything and Malfoy turned around and walked back to the edge again.

"I love you Harry, I've always wanted you," he said as he began to cry again. "That time when we first met in Madame Malkins to get our robes I didn't know what I felt but all I knew was that I wanted you to like me. That's why I insulted Hagrid and Ron that day; I thought that if I acted superior like my Dad you would like me. But then you ended up hating me for that..."

Harry just looked at the blond boy, still speechless. Malfoy had kissed him!

"Maybe if things were different we could have been friends, even lovers" Malfoy continued between sobs. "But I know that you're not like that, now there is truly nothing left for me in this world. Goodbye Harry Potter."

"Malfoy wait!" yelled Harry. "I love you" he said and Malfoy turned around and smiled at him.

"I know you're just saying that to stop me from jumping Harry and I appreciate you trying, even if I don't know why you bother to try and save a mean, worthless prick like me."

"We'll find those students my pet," came a voice from the stairway. Filtch was obviously walking up the stairs to check for students out of bed! Harry looked back around and was shocked to see Draco stepping off the edge, in a flash he ran over and managed to grab Draco's leg. Harry was glad for the first time that he was a vampire, if he hadn't been one, Malfoy would be approaching the ground right now. Unfortunately Harry slipped just as he grabbed Malfoy's leg and he too fell off the edge and was holding onto the edge with one hand and Draco's foot with the other.

"Let me go Harry," sobbed Draco, "I have nothing to live for."

"You have me," replied Harry as he held onto the blond boy. Harry noticed that Draco was no longer crying and was looking at him with a serious expression on his face.

"Y-you mean it?" he said.

"Of course I do, I..." Harry started but stopped as he heard Filtch start cursing at finding no students after his long trek up the stairs. He stayed for around a minute and Harry was glad that he was much stronger after his transformation otherwise both him and Draco would be dead right now.

"Come on my sweet," Filtch wheezed as Mrs. Norris purred, "Let's go and see what Peeves is up to," and Harry waited for a minute after he heard them leave before he talked again.

"Draco, climb up me and then help me up because my arms are starting to get tired," Harry said quickly, and it was true, even with his increased strength his shoulder felt like it was going to come out.

"Ok but you'd better not be kidding," Draco said as he reached up and grabbed one of Harry's legs and then started climbing up him. Once he was back in the tower he helped Harry up and before Harry was even on solid ground again he groaned with delight as Draco's lips found his again. Harry jumped as Draco started to rub his hand against his groin and started to groan louder as Draco's tongue entered his mouth. After two minutes tongue wrestling they stopped and were both breathless as they broke their lip lock.

"Wow," said Harry.

"My sentiments exactly Potter," said Malfoy as he smiled at Harry who was seeing stars from the pleasure that he felt. Harry was still shocked from meeting the smiling, pleasant Draco but he sure as hell didn't mind the change!

"We'd better get back to our room in case Filtch comes around again," said Draco as he got up and offered Harry his hand. Harry took it and when he was up again they both made their way down the stairs, as they descended they both just smiled at each other every time their eyes made contact. As soon as they reached the bottom Harry immediately started kissing Draco in earnest, unable to control himself around the blond boy any longer. For so long Draco was look and not touch and now that Harry had a chance to do the latter, he wasn't going to waste any time!

As Malfoy's back slammed up against the wall Harry diverted his attention for a few seconds to check the marauders map to make sure that no one was coming, as he glanced at the map quickly he moaned as he felt Draco slip his hand down the front of his robes and started to massage his penis. Harry quickly put the map away and slipped his hand into Draco's robes and found what he was looking for.

They began to kiss with even more passion as they slowly masturbated each other. Suddenly Draco broke the kiss and started to suck on Harry's neck, Harry suddenly remembered seeing Draco doing the same thing to an unconscious Crabbe that day and moved his head back quickly. Draco looked at him in confusion until it dawned on him what was bothering Harry,

"I'd never bite you Harry, never," he said with a serious expression on his face.

Harry suddenly felt ashamed at his reaction; after all they had both just told each other their true feelings. "I know, I'm sorry Draco," he replied, "I guess I didn... oomph..."

His sentence was cut short by Draco who felt the urgent need to taste Harry's lips again. The continued their exploration of each other for another minute then suddenly Harry felt the blond boy's penis expand in his hand and Draco started to whimper uncontrollably as he shot his load all over his robes and Harry's hand. For some reason hearing the precious whimpers of Draco also set Harry off and he groaned as he started to ejaculate as Draco's hand kept massaging him. When they were both finished they slipped their hands out of each others robes and stared into each others eyes for what seemed like an eternity, both boys were too breathless and too hypnotized by the beauty of each other to speak.

"We'd better get back to our room," said Harry quickly, glad that he could finally break the silence.

"Ok," replied Draco, "For a start you can explain that neat little map I saw you look at earlier Pot... I mean Harry."

Harry smiled as he took out the marauders map and started to explain it to his new friend... and lover.

***

Harry nearly yelled in shock as he woke up to find Professors Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape and Varslier standing over him and Draco. Both boys decided to sleep in Draco's bed last night and fell asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillow. Snape and McGonagall both had a look that could kill a Dementor while Dumbledore and Varslier seemed to be amused by the whole situation.

"I take it that your new sleeping arrangement means that you two have solved your differences?" asked Professor Dumbledore who looked like he was trying not to laugh.

"Uhhh, yeah," replied Harry who was blushing profusely at the whole situation. He felt Draco waken in his arms and he gave a small yelp of surprise when he saw the four other people in the room.

"Couldn't you have knocked before you came in?" Draco asked.

"We didn't see the need to," hissed Snape.

"Are we in trouble?" asked Harry timidly.

"No Mr. Potter, you are not," replied Professor Dumbledore, "No rule of Hogwarts condemns students sleeping together, however there is a rule that states that no sexual acts of any kind may occur between students while they are on Hogwarts grounds so while you are allowed to sleep together you may not, shall we say... pleasure each other," said Dumbledore awkwardly. Harry suddenly realized that this was probably the first time he's ever seen the old man blush. Both students and the three other Professors glanced at Liam as he giggled at Dumbledore's last comment.

"Sorry," he replied as he walked out of the room.

"So what do you want?" asked Draco who was still glaring at the remaining three professors.

"We need to you come out to your common room so we can talk about the events of last night," replied Dumbledore and with he walked out of the room followed by Professors Snape and McGonagall. For a moment Harry thought he meant him and Draco's `encounter' in the astronomy tower but realized with relief that he was talking about Draco and the other Slytherin students. Both boys kissed and got up and started to get dressed. Harry noticed Draco watching him as he got dressed and also managed to catch a few glimpses of Draco himself.

Once they were both dressed they walked out into their common room to find all four professors seated and they both joined them, Professor Dumbledore gestured to Liam who began to speak,

"Harry, Draco, we're both here to talk about your thirst. I'm sure that by now you both know that we are required to consume the blood of humans to survive."

"D-does that mean we have to kill," asked Harry, not liking where this conversation was going at all.

"If you lived a hundred years ago, then yes, you would have to kill but luckily today we can drink blood preserved in muggle hospitals or by magical means," he replied as he took out two clear bags filled with blood and placed them on the table in front of Harry and Draco.

"Thank heavens," Harry sighed to himself.

"Yes, it is most fortunate that I have ties with muggle hospitals," said Dumbledore.

"What about St. Mungo's?" asked Draco, "Wouldn't blood preserved by magical means be better?"

"Yes it would Mr. Malfoy," said Dumbledore, "However if I were to request blood form St. Mungo's on a frequent basis questions would be asked."

"Ok," said Malfoy, "So why are Professors Snape and McGonagall here?"

"They came as a... precaution," replied Liam, "If one or both of you were feeling the effects of the thirst too much then we would need all the help we would get. As I'm sure you both realized from the events in the Slytherin dorms yesterday, the thirst causes you to loose all control and all you care about is feeding. Normally the thirst wouldn't take effect for a month after you were bitten however since you were bitten by an ancient you will feel the thirst more frequently than a normal vampire and must feed once a week. However the benefit is that vampires who are bitten by an ancient are more powerful than those who were bitten by a modern vampire. Now drink up!" he said with a grin on his face.

Harry and Draco took a bag each and opened them at the top. As Harry tipped the bag and the first drops of blood hit his tongue he was expecting to be repulsed, however he was shocked at how nice the warm, thick liquid tasted and in no time had drank down the whole bag.

"Excellent," said Liam as he and the other professors got up.

"Can we eat normal food?" asked Draco.

"Yes you can," replied Liam, but it wont make any difference to you at all so I suggest you only start eating food if people get suspicious."

"Uhhh... Professor Dumbledore, can I speak you to, alone?" asked Harry suddenly, remembering his strange dream from last night. Dumbledore gave him a quick calculating look and then gestured for the other three professors to leave.

"I'll guess I'll go to breakfast," said Draco as he got up.

"Actually Draco you can stay," said Harry quickly, "I don't mind if you hear this."

And Harry told Dumbledore as much as his dream last night as he could remember. After he finished he expected him to have a lot to say, he certainly wasn't expecting him to tell Harry to contact him if any other dreams took place and then leave quickly! After Dumbledore had left Harry looked at Draco, who was staring at him with wide eyes,

"You can see him in your dreams?" he whispered.

"Yes, I think it's because of my scar replied Harry. "Well, we'd better ger ready for breakfast; you can sit at the Gryffindor table if you like."

Draco let out a sigh, "I don't think I'd be very welcome Harry, I'd better sit at the Slytherin table. We can't let anyone know about our feelings for each other, the attitude towards gays is a bit better in the wizarding world than in the muggle world but there are still some who can't stand homosexuality."

"So what should we do then?" asked Harry.

"We'll act like friends of course, I need someone to hang around with," said Draco with one of his normal smirks. "But no kissy touchy stuff when there are other people around."

"But I like kissy touchy stuff," replied Harry as he leaned forward and kissed his blond lover on the lips.

"Well you're just going to have to control yourself then Harry," Draco said as he smiled at his lover.

"Ok, but no name calling, and that includes Ron and Hermione" said Harry as he got up.

"But what am I going to do with all of my spare time?" Malfoy asked with a grin as he followed Harry into the bathroom.

***

"So Harry how was your first night with Malfoy?" asked Ron who was attacking his breakfast with gusto. Harry had arrived late to breakfast but was told that Professor Dumbledore had announced that Harry and Draco were living in their own quarters because of certain events that occurred last night. He noticed that a few groups of students were whispering and looking at him.

"It was alright," replied Harry who had just taken a shower with the subject of their conversation. He was late to breakfast because Draco took so long to make sure his hair and robes were perfect, Draco may have gone through a change but he was still a Malfoy at heart. "He's not that bad once you get to know him," he added offhandedly.

"What!?" exclaimed Ron who was now looking at Harry like he had grown a third head. Hermione was just looking at Harry with a smile on her face. Harry didn't know what she was smiling about and started to feel uncomfortable, did she know?

"Are you mad?" said Ron as he looked at Harry in disbelief.

"It's true," replied Harry. "He's even agreed to stop calling you two names."

"I'll believe it when I see it," grumbled Ron who went back to his breakfast.

***

Albus Dumbledore still chuckled to himself as he saw the looks that Minerva and Severus were directing at the two boys as they ate breakfast. He wasn't sure which one was more outraged by the prospect that the two poster boys from Gryffindor and Slytherin are sleeping together.

He looked over at Liam who was observing the whole situation with a smile, Albus' good mood immediately dissipated and he sighed as he remembered what Harry had told him about Cassius. He was sure that Cassius would be eager to meet Liam again, the only question was when?

***

Draco sighed as he left the Slytherin table after another very lonely meal.

"At least the first years are talking to me," he said to himself as he made his way to potions.

***

Harry was standing with Ron and Hermione outside the potions classroom waiting for Snape. He noticed that Hermione was still smiling at him for no reason and was starting to get a little irritated,

"What?" he asked her.

"Nothing," she replied with a giggle and Ron just looked at both of them in confusion.

"Harry," said a voice behind them and Harry turned around to see his lover standing behind him looking very nervous.

"Draco," he replied.

There was a few moments of uncomfortable silence as Draco looked at Ron and Hermione then it happened,

"Hi Weas... Ron and Hermione," he said. Ron looked like he was going to faint but Hermione just smiled,

"Hi Draco, how are you?" she asked pleasantly.

"Uhhh... fine," replied Draco awkwardly. A few more moments of silence passed and then he said, "Listen, I'm sorry for all of the insults that I've heaped upon you two over the years and I promise that I'm trying to change my habits."

Harry smiled at Draco, pleased that he was actually trying so hard to change. He nudged Ron and Hermione who were now both looking at him in shock; obviously Draco apologizing even caught Hermione by surprise!

"That's okay," they both replied, Ron rather grudgingly but Harry was sure that after practice they would all loosen up. Professor Snape arrived at that moment and glared at them as they followed him into the classroom and snorted as Draco sat down next to Harry, Ron and Hermione. Harry knew that his meeting with Professor Snape yesterday wouldn't change how Snape treated him in the classroom but he could at least be a little more pleasant!

The rest of the class soon arrived and just before Snape commenced his lesson Hermione, who was on the other side of Harry leaned over and whispered in his ear,

"Who are you trying to kid Harry Potter?" she asked. "So when did you two hook up?"

Harry yelped in surprise,

"Ten points from Gryffindor for making stupid noises!" snapped Snape. This was going to be a loooong lesson!

***

"I hate that git! Fifty points lost in the first lesson!" exclaimed Ron as him, Harry and Hermione sat down to lunch. Harry was still nervous about Hermione knowing about him and Draco but after that comment at the start of potions she hadn't said anything else on the subject.

"Yeah, Snape is as pleasant as ever," as he watched both of his friends eat. Harry looked around to see if anyone was looking at him, just in case people began to notice that he didn't eat anything but he didn't see anything. It was at that moment that Draco sat down next to him at the Gryffindor table,

"Sorry," he said as everyone looked at him, "But I couldn't stand sitting by myself any longer."

Harry looked up at the head table to see if any of the professors objected to Draco's new seating arrangement, but apart from a sharp glare from Snape, no-one seemed to mind but Harry also noticed that the entire room had gone quiet and that they were receiving angry looks from everybody else on the Gryffindor table and also from the Slytherin table, suddenly the two twins Fred and George sat down next to him and Draco,

"How are we all?" asked Fred as he started to help himself to his food.

"Fine," replied Harry, smiling at the twin's quick acceptance of Draco but also wondering why they were accepting him so easily. It was at that moment that George leaned over and whispered into Harry's ear,

"We saw what happened last night you horn dog," he whispered with a grin.

"B-but how?" asked Harry, thankful that Colin Creevy wasn't around with his camera and that Ron and Hermione were too wrapped up in looking at each other with glazed over eyes.

"We have our ways," answered Fred from the other side of Draco. Draco and Harry looked at each other and started to blush.

"Don't worry, we won't tell anyone," said George who started to help himself to some roast lamb.

"Yes, but if you hurt Harry in any way Malfoy, we'll make sure that you'll be looking over your shoulder for the rest of your life," Fred whispered with a look in his face that told Harry that he was deadly serious.

"Y-you don't care that we're..."

"Gay?" whispered George, "No, but my advice is to keep it under wraps, no more midnight encounters in the hallways would be a good way to start."

"Does everyone in Gryffindor eat their meal like it's their last?" asked Malfoy suddenly, a scowl on his face as he observed the three Weasley boys eating.

"You'd better get used to it," replied Harry with a smile.

***

Harry and Draco walked to History of Magic followed by Ron and Hermione who were still making eyes at each other.

"So that's two people that know about us already Harry," whispered Malfoy as they walked.

"Three," said Harry.

"What?"

"Three people," Harry said with a sigh, "Hermione knows."

"How does the Mud... Hermione know?" asked Draco, catching himself mid sentence. "Sorry, it's really hard to break the habit," he said quickly to Harry who was frowning at him. "So how does she know?"

"I have no idea," replied Harry, "She told me in potions that she knew about us but she hasn't said anything since."

"Well that's just great, but at least it will give me something to think about when I'm bored out of my mind while that stupid ghost is droning on," he said as they entered the history of magic classroom.

"I can't wait `till we have dueling classes," said Harry as they sat down.

"What so I can beat you again?" Draco said with a giggle that made a few Hufflepuff students who were sitting near them look at him in amazement. Harry giggled at Draco as he blushed, obviously embarrassed at revealing the nice version of himself to someone other than Harry.

"It was a draw," said Harry as he got his history of magic book out of his bag.

***

Harry and Draco lay on Harry's bed both exhausted from the days events. After they had finished dinner Harry decided to write a letter to Sirius to tell him everything that had happened, Harry was sure that Dumbledore had probably already told him but Harry knew that Sirius would also like to hear from him. Harry left out his relationship with Draco; he wasn't sure how Sirius would react to that. After he sent the letter they both came back up to their room and talked for a few hours. Harry told Draco everything, even about Sirius, Uncle Vernon and even about his encounters with Voldemort. Draco had told him all about his life up until now and they were both tired from all of the laughing and crying that had occurred as they told their tales. They were about to both drift off to sleep when they heard someone knocking on the portrait that guarded their room. They both got up and made sure that there were no more traces of their tears and then walked out to their common room and opened the portrait with their password to find Ron and Hermione standing there.

"Hey, come in," Harry said as he gestured them inside. They came in without a word and sat down and Harry and Draco joined them. Draco still looked a little uncomfortable being around Ron and Hermione and from the behavior of Ron and Hermione towards him it seemed that they also were uncomfortable. A few moments of silence passed before Hermione started talking,

"Why didn't you tell us?" she asked with a smile on her face.

"Tell you what?" replied Harry, furious with himself for blushing.

"Oh seriously, you two!" she exclaimed, "It's so obvious that you two have become a couple, Ron doesn't believe me but I'm sure of it."

"Harry, tell her she's gone bonkers," sighed Ron who immediately flinched after his comment when he received a Professor McGonagall-like stare from Hermione.

"Uhhh... She's right Ron," said Harry who had to stop himself laughing at the look on Ron's face.

"So, you're..."

"Gay? Yes," said Harry interrupting his read headed friend. "If you guys can't accept that then I'll underst..."

"Harry!" Hermione said forcibly, "We're your friends, and after all we've been through together I would have thought that you would have put a little more faith into us. How long have you known that you like boys?"

"Ummm... since I was twelve," replied Harry, remembering when he caught a glance at Seamus in the boy's showers. He also remembered how embarrassed he was when he immediately started to get hard.

"Well you could have told us, we don't care what the rest of the world thinks about you, we accept you for who you are," she said with tears in her eyes.

"Oh thank you Hermione!" exclaimed Harry, he jumped up and gave her a hug. He was so relived that his friends would accept him, for years he'd feared that they would hate him if they ever found out what he really was. As he hugged Hermione he looked over at Ron, who had a smile on his face,

"What are you smiling at?" asked Harry as he stopped hugging Hermione and sat back down.

"Harry I can accept the gay part, but why did it have to be with Malfoy?" he asked with a grin.

Harry laughed as he put his hand on his blond lover's lap, "I don't know, he's just so cute."

Both Draco and Ron blushed at that while Harry and Hermione just laughed.

"So I take it that you two are also a couple," said Draco out of nowhere.

At this Ron blushed even further but Hermione just leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Yes we are," she said proudly. "We got together during the few days before we left for Kings Cross."

"Well then congratulations," said Draco, who then blushed as everybody looked at him with confusion, "What?" he asked as everybody looked at him. "I'm trying to change my ways so why does everybody have to stare at me every time I say something nice?" he asked with an annoyed look on his face.

"I'm glad you're making such a good effort Draco," said Harry with a giggle, "But we're all surprised at the progress you're making." Draco leaned forward and gave him a kiss and a nip on the lip for that comment.

"Blimey," said Ron, "It's still gonna take me a while to get used to the idea of you two together."

"Well you'd better get used to it Ron," replied Harry who groaned when he noticed that Hermione was taking a massive book out of the bag that she'd brought with her.

"What?" she said defiantly, "I found a book that has a heap of information on vampires and I thought that you two might want to give it a quick read."

"A quick read?" Draco asked in disgust as she put the book on the table between them.

"Stop being so melodramatic Draco," she snapped in reply, "I know that you're second to me in all of the classes that we have together so I know that you won't have a hard time knocking this book over."

"Okay," he grumbled as he took the book from her.

"Now Ron and I have to go back to Gryffindor Tower and finish off our homework," she said as she got up.

"I'll come with you," Harry said as he quickly grabbed his bag from his room, eager to see all of his Gryffindor friends again. "Will you be alright here Draco?" he asked and left the room with his two friends when Draco just waved him away, already completely immersed in Hermione's book.

Tom Riddle watched in awe as his new found ally performed a very complex wand movement and muttered words that he suspected hadn't been said in centuries. Tom was extremely pleased with himself for finding Cassius, he knew that he would help him defeat Dumbledore and his group of muggle lovers.

"Now come forth!" yelled Cassius.

Tom gasped in amazement as he saw a small green portal form on the floor where Cassius pointed his wand. After Cassius muttered a few more words a coffin started to rise up from the portal. Once he saw this Cassius smiled stopped the spell and looked over at Tom with a look if pride on his face,

"I finally completed that spell. After ten years of hard work it has finally all paid off," he said as he sat down next to Tom.

"An ancient spell that can resurrect the dead," said Tom, still amazed at the power of the wizard sitting beside him. "Can you teach me this spell?" he asked hopefully.

Cassius laughed, "Of course, it shouldn't be that hard. I can't wait to use this spell against my former apprentice; he will be enraged when he experiences the treatment I have in store for him."

At this moment a death eater stumbled into the room,

"M-my Lord we have another muggle family for L-lord Cassius," he stuttered nervously.

"Excellent," exclaimed Cassius as he got up out of his seat, "I was just starting to get hungry."

Harry and Draco both awoke with tears in their eyes. After Harry returned from Gryffindor Tower they explored each other tenderly on Harry's bed before they fell asleep and had being sleeping peacefully until now.

"A whole family..." gasped Harry.

"Slaughtered," added Draco as he shivered in fear. Harry looked at the blond boy in shock,

"We have Professor Dumbledore," he said quickly as he got up and started to get dressed. "Something must be up if you saw it too."

After getting dressed they both hurried out of their room and made their way to the stone gargoyle guarding Dumbledore's office. Harry wasn't sure of the password but after naming three different sweets he finally managed to get it right. They were surprised to find Professor Varslier there; he seemed to be shaking with anger or fear, or maybe both.

"So you two saw it too?" he asked.

"Y-yes," replied Harry, "What does it mean?"

"Sit down boys," said Professor Dumbledore from the other side of his desk, "We have to explain a few things to you."
