Hi again! This is the second chapter of Twisted History. I've gotten alot of great feedback and I thank you all for that! I hope you will continue to mail me. I hope I have improved writing-wise this time, thanks to the feedback.

I'm terribly sorry for the delay of this chapter. I had it sent to a beta-reader wich still haven't returned it to me. I'm sure this person doesn't mean to keep it for so long but I can't wait that long each time. This makes me change beta-reader for the next chapter and I promise that this won't happen again. I'm truly sorry for all this. This of course makes the seat empty and if you think you fit for this task, them email me.

Last but not least: Stay tuned for chapter 3! This story is far from over.

I welcome all feedback. Please email me even for the smallest of grammatical errors. That way will I be able to improve til the next time. My email: Martin_silver83@hotmail.com

Chapter 2 - Trapped

Lance was reaching for the handle on the door. We all waited for him to open it so we could get out of here. Lance grabbed hold of the handle and turned it. He tried to open the door, but to no luck. He then tried a few times more, not believing it was true. Lance took a few steps backwards and stared at the doors. -"This isn't happening!" Donna almost screamed. "I can't believe it!" She continued. -"Why doesn't it open?" Janet asked with uncertainty in her voice. -"It won't even budge." Lance said still staring at the door. -"What do you mean? It won't budge?" Donna turned her anger against Lance instead of the door. -"It won't budge. It is as simple as that. Try for yourself!" Donna tried to open the door herself but she wasn't any more succesful than Lance. Donna turned around and walked over to a nearby chair and sat down. She was obviously very upset. -"We only need to find the key. Then can we open the door." Janet suggested. Donna gave her the evil stare from over where she was sitting and Janet backed away. -"That ain't happening because the door isn't locked. It just won't open." Donna stated. -"But if the door is stuck, then maybe we could push it open with force?" I suggested to raise some hope. -"Let's do that." Lance said and we then began to push at the door at the same time as one of us also turned the handle. We pushed it continiously but the door wouldn't go open. After a while we gave up. -"There's nothing we can do about it Lance. It won't give in." I said exhausted. -"You're right. Maybe we should try and find a window to open and climb out?" -"That's sounds like a plan. I mean, if we don't get the window open then can we always break it." -"That's right." -"You're not going to break a window, are you?" Janet asked filled with concern. -"Of course you nut! Why should we care about a silly window when we're trapped here?" Donna yelled from her place in the chair. -"You're right." Janet turned around and crossed her arms.

Lance and Martin was heading for a door close by. They opened the door and it led to a lounge. Well, it looked like a lounge anyway. There was a huge open fireplace on the wall opposite the windows. Many couches, chairs and coffee tables furnited the room. On the walls hanged many paintings with strange motives. One picture was of a single apple hanging from a branch in a tree and another one of a big porch. Lance and Martin walked through the room and to the nearest room. Martin reached up to the windows handle and tried to pull it open. The window opened and the wind and rain hit them both in their faces. They both thried to shield their faces from the rain with their arms and at the same time look out through the window. It seemed like the first floor in this building was three to four meters above ground. The front door was reached by walking up a broad stone stair. Not only did the height of the jump stop them but also the large rose bushes that grew around the house. If they jumped, they would die from both the fall and the thorns. Besides, the weather and the wolf cries in the distant wasn't inviting at all. Martin closed the window again. Lance slumped down in a chair and whiped his face dry with his hands. I turned around and saw both Janet and Donna standing behind us. They understood everything but asked anyway: -"Is it possible to get out that way?" Janet asked. -"No. Too far to the ground and too many thorns on the bushes." I stated flatly. I saw that both of them seeked for answers to all this and I really wanted to give them some too. But I was both at a loss for words and thoughts at the moment. My mind was completely blank. I too wanted answers. I walked over to a couch opposite the open fireplace. It was really comfortable and the heat the fire gave off wasn't bad either. It felt somewhat nice to sit here in spite of the circumstances. Janet joined me on the couch. Our eyes met and then her face fell. I saw she was scared. I saw it in her eyes. She was afraid. I didn't know what to say. What would comfort her? All of us are sitting in the same boat. A lonely boat on the open, stormy ocean. The only difference was that this house was much more inviting and at the same time much more scary than it.

The four of us walked down another hall that connected to the old one. We had past two doors already but both had been locked. We tried our own key in their locks but it wasn't the right one. We got to the end of the hall and we saw through the window that it rained just as hard as before outside. The view of the window was of the backside of the house and neither one of us had seen it before. Out there was the fountain found in one of the pictures on the wall that we saw earlier. And beyond the fountain was something that looked like a maze. A maze built by high hedges and in the middle of it was the statue we also saw earlier on a picture. Then we turned toward the last door in the hall. Lance tried the handle and it opened. He pushed the door open so we could take a good look in the room. We couldn't. It was pitch black. Lance reached around on the wall inside the room and soon found the lightswitch. We immidetly saw that we've found the kitchen. One wall was covered with cubbords and shelves for all kind of kitchen tools, eating utensils, china and glasses. On one wall stood all the food cubbords, refrigirators and freezers. The other two walls was dedicated to preparing spaces and ovens and sinks. There was a big wooden preparing table in the middle of the kitchen. The room had two doors, one small and rather torn wooden door in the right corner and a double door in the middle of the left wall.

-"This kitchen looks really inviting." Donna stated and walked in through the door first of us all. Tightly followed by Janet and then me. Lance inspected the room from the door and then came in. -"Wonder what's in here?" I said and opened the refrigirator. -"What is it?" Lance asked and walked over and now stood by my side. -"It's well stocked anyway. Here's plenty of food." I said loud so that the girls would hear me too. -"Is there food there?" Janet asked and turned around and walked in our direction. All of us were soon gathered around the refrigirator, digging around in it for late-night snacks. I settled for a chocolate bar while Lance had a sandwich. He had found bread, butter, cheese and ham. The girls ate fruit, Bananas and oranges. I didn't realize it in the beginning but I was rather hungry. Not any more though. When we all had eaten up we continued to the double door and opened it. Inside the other room was the luxurious and grand dining room. There was a giant dining table in the middle of it. The table was made of wood and it was beatifully ornated underneath the smoot, glassy surface. I counted the chairs quickly and I found the table to be able to seat up to twentytwo people at the same time. We all just strolled through the room and towards the doors on the opposite side of the room. The door was locked but it could be opened from this side of the door. On the other side of the door was a smaller room. It had some chairs and small tables along the walls. It looked like a reception room for dinner guests. On the wall to the left was a door wich too could be opened from this side. We were now back in the hallway we left.

-"This went somethly." I said cheerfully. -"This house still scares me." Donna stated firmly. -"I know. I'm scared too. But we haven't yet found anything we should or could be scared about." Lance cut in. -"I agree. It's just a normal house, that's all." Janet spoke. Donna stared at her but didn't say anything. Neither one of us spoke after that. We continued our exploration of the house in silence. We didn't break it until something important had to be asked or said. We managed to get into most of the rooms on all floors. Some rooms here and there remained locked and off limits for us.

We walked through the doors to the hallway containing the four rooms we woke up in. I tiredly turned the handle to my room and was about to enter when Donna interrupted: -"I have an idea about the room arrangements." -"Say what?" I asked and began to yawn as I turned around. -"I don't want to stay in either one of our rooms. You've got the key and I wanna lock aftermyself." -"We lock your door for you." Lance cut in. -"And then if something happens, we would be trapped in there forever? No thanks!" -"What should we do then?" Janet asked me. -"I don't know." -"I know." Donna stated and we all turned to her. "I and Janet take Lance's room. Martin and Lance take Martin's room. That way can we lock both rooms from the inside and we'd stick together. How about that?" -"Sounds like a great idea." Janet shimed in directly. -"Ok then. I guess it's the most sensible thing to do." I said and turned around again. Lance didn't say anything.

I walked inside my room and everyone else followed closely. I walked through the bathroom and over to Lance's room and the soon-to-be girls' room and locked their door. Donna and Janet stood next to the bed and watched. Lance watched from the bathroom door. -"Done. Now can you two get some sleep in peace." I said and walked for the bathroom door. -"Thank you." Janet said warmheartidly. I walked past Lance and into our room. I locked our door too and then put the key on the nightstand next to the bed. I walked into the bathroom and washed my face and hands. I took one of the toothbrushes and some toothpaste and brushed my teeth. I did my business in the bathroom and as I flushed the toilett, Lance walked in. -"Are you done?" He asked me and I nodded. Lance went over to the sink and I walked over to the girls door and told them through it: -"I put the key on my nightstand. If there's anything, then wake us up ok?" -"Ok. We'll remember that." Donna said. -"Lance is soon done in here and then is it your turn. Good Night!" I said to finish up and the girls said good night to me too. I walked into our room and sat down on the bed. I heard Lance flush and say he was done and good night to the girls too. Then he entered our room and he stopped in his tracks. -"I take the couch." He said. -"No need for you to do that. This is a kingsize bed and there's plenty of room for you two." -"Are you sure?" -"Of course. You wouldn't sleep comfortable on that coach either." He nodded and sat down on the other side of the bed. I started to take off my shirt and then moved on to my pants. I removed my socks and I now sat there in my boxers. I turned and pulled the cover off and hopped down in the bed. I rolled over so I was lying on my stomache and I looked at Lance. He hadn't undressed yet. He sat there, breathing. Then he began by removing his shirt. He then took off his pants and last his socks too. He hopped into bed aswell. I liked the sneak peak I got of his body and I couldn't help but smile. Then I remembered, the light in the room was still on. I went out of bed and walked over to the lightswitch on the wall. I heard Lance turn his head while I walked and I hoped he did so to look at me. I turned around and looked at him just before I turned the lightswitch off. He was looking at me. I hopped back in bed and when I had settled and was lying comfortably he said good night. I told him good night too and I saw the outline of his face against the window. He turned around and was now lying on his tomache too. Our faces was turned against each other. I closed my eyes and felt sleep take over me.
