Chapter Six
Pieter was over in England to find out if Spencer knew of any illicit diamonds being smuggled into England,' Marcus began when we were settled in bed together. The South African Government was concerned because there appeared to be a drop in the diamonds actually recovered from the mines and knew that they were being stolen and got out of the country to Europe, but were not sure where. Spencer wasn't able to help and that's why Pieter wanted me to come out as a pair of fresh eyes to look at things to see if I could spot where this was all happening.'
There were others things he spoke of but my mind started to wander as I felt him getting harder in my hand as he spoke and soon I was able to go down in the bed and suck on him. A few minutes of that was enough for him, for he pulled me up the bed and kissed me fiercely and rolled me over and fucked me without a condom on. All the time telling me how much he loved me as he rode me from behind and I loved him the more for doing me without a rubber as well as telling me about his love. He was tender as well as being strong and I was in heaven with his tool sliding in and out of me and even came myself as he shot his load inside me. I cried out softly when he pulled out and went and washed himself and I just laid there in my own mess, my heart full of love for this man of mine. I snuggled into his arms when he got back into bed and felt safe and secure and then gave thought to what he had said about the diamonds before drifting off to sleep.
Being as strong as he was, Marcus was capable of taking me again next morning and I was reluctant to get out of bed afterwards, but we had to. After a shower and getting dressed, we had breakfast with the other two in the dining room, being served by one of Pieter's black servants. After our meal, Toni left us three together to talk about the coming day and what he would like to show us. I didn't fancy the idea of going deep underground to look at the workings of a mine and so rejected the idea of going with them. So I said that I would stay behind as only one of us need go down and mentioned my thoughts of last night.
`I was thinking that if I was smuggling diamonds out of the country, I would send them out by air or sea. By land would take too long and too many borders to cross, so Pieter, could you get me air cargo manifests for this year? It's a tall order I know, but I could spend the day looking through them while you and Marcus go to see a mine.'
No problem there,' he replied. I can get them sent over from Customs and Excise,' and went straight to the phone and put in the request for them. With breakfast over, the two men went off in the car to the heliport and I went and put on my swimming costume and joined Toni out on the patio.
It was late morning when a servant came out to tell me that there was a large package for me in the lounge. I went and saw this large box that was very heavy and took it out by the pool and sat down in the shade and started to look through one big massive print out. I had lunch with Toni out there as I looked through them to see if I could spot anything that I might think unusual. I couldn't see anything of the sort and it was only when Tracey said something as she read the daily paper did I perk up. At the same time, the portable radio was playing the theme tune to the Bond film, "Diamonds are Forever".
A young Dutchman has been found murdered out in the bush and his things stolen,' she read out. There's too much of this thing going on.' With that and the music, I thought of James Bond using a body to get the diamonds out of Africa and knew where I had to go to ask the right questions.
`Toni. Can you order me a taxi to take me to police headquarters,' I asked as I got up and went inside to get dressed. Pieter had given Marcus and myself a pass equivalent to our Special Branch ones for us to use if we needed any assistance. I was dressed, made up and making sure I had the pass with me, went off into town. Pieter had given us some Rands, the local currency, to use, and had myself dropped off outside of an imposing building that was the main offices of the Johannesburg police force.
It took a bit of time to get to where I wanted even with the use of the pass and finally found myself talking to the Deputy Commissioner. He understood where I was coming from and said that they had already had that idea and found nothing but he still told someone to get me what I wanted. I was there an hour and finally left with a list of dead people that they had investigated whether they were murders, accidents or death by natural causes, including two suicides. The total for the year so far was over three hundred. Eighty of these had been checked out as either suspicious or definite murders. Twenty four had been foreigners, some of them buried here and some sent home to be laid to rest in their homelands.
It was these twenty four that I wanted to know more about and my next stop was the city's morgue. The Deputy Commissioner had phoned ahead for me and I was soon talking to the head man in charge.
Yes,' he said in response to my question. We carry out autopsies on all deaths before releasing them for burial.' I then gave him the list of twenty four names and asked if they had been buried here in South Africa or were they collected or sent back to their native country. His was able to check his computer and found that eight had been buried in South Africa and eighteen sent off to a specialist undertakers that saw to everything. From the collecting of the bodies from the morgue, embalming them and seeing to all the paperwork and getting them shipped off to their own countries for burial. I misheard the name at first as he pronounced it as being Tofs.
`Toffs? You mean like posh people?' I asked.
`No,' he laughed. It's an acronym. The Overseas Funeral Service. Hence Tofs.' The nationalities of the eighteen were seven Dutch, four English, two French, two German, two American and one Pole. I knew the dates of their deaths and he gave me the dates of their collection from the morgue. I thanked him for his help having got the address of Tofs and the expected time it took for the embalming process to be done before the bodies would be shipped out.
Armed with all this, I got a taxi to take me back to Pieter's place. Marcus and Pieter hadn't got back from the mines and so I joined Toni out by the pool and, having changed into my bikini again, set to work to run through the aircraft manifests for the second time. But I had dates to work from now and soon started to pick out the shipments from Johannesburg to the various countries and found that not only did they ship them out, but collected them at the other end. All except the Americans and the Pole. They were collected at their various airports by a different named funeral company. This was enough for me to now pursue this funeral agency to find out a bit more in detail.
Marcus and Pieter were back from the mines just before dinner and over the meal, Marcus told me about what it was like to go so far underground and see the workings of diamonds being drilled out of the rock face. I kept my news back for I wanted to know a bit more about this funeral service before I said anything. In bed that night, I asked Marcus if he would like to do some drilling in my mine for I was his special diamond. He laughed at the analogy and proceeded to bore into my shaft, drilling me good and proper, much to my satisfaction and our mutual enjoyment.
Next day, Pieter took Marcus off to see how the mined diamonds were cut and polished while I, dressed conservatively, went off to see these undertakers. The address I was dropped off at was more of a house than a funeral establishment, but the small plaque by the door bell showed me that I was at the right place. A middle aged man invited me into his front room which was his office and I gave him a false name and the story that I had devised. I had come out to South Africa to see my ageing aunt and she had expressed the desire to be buried back in England and I had been given this parlour as the place to come to for making any arrangements when the time came.
The man, Edward Voorderman, was pleased that the nursing home had recommended them to handle the arrangements and went into detail as to what they did. They did not do actual burials, only the preparation in their embalming room at the rear of the premises. They would see to all the paperwork involved and had their sister company in London see to the collection of the deceased to see that nothing untoward had happened during the shipment. They would then deliver the coffin to whichever funeral director I wished, to see to the actual ceremony for the burial.
The price was really modest and he explained that by not having to have a hearse and all the trimmings, the only real cost was the coffin itself, plus the flight. He worked only with his partner in the collecting of the deceased, the embalming and the delivery to the airport and the paperwork to keep costs to a minimum. I was given a glossy brochure and I thanked him and said that I would most probably be back later.
But that would be much earlier than he expected for I knew from the mortuary that he had a Dutchman in the embalming room at that very moment. I checked with the airline when I got back to Pieter's place to find that they had booked space for the coffin for the following day, so the place had to be visited tonight to check if my theory was right or not.
At dinner that evening, I let Marcus tell me about his day, seeing the diamonds cut and how they were polished before I casually dropped my bombshell.
`I think I know who is smuggling the diamonds and how.'
Ridiculous,' Marcus said, we've only been here two days.'
That's not fair,' I said, giving his hand a slap. Just because you've been mining and seeing the finished product, I wasn't sitting here doing nothing.'
`Okay Miss Marple, tell us.'
`Cut the sarcasm. It's a funeral parlour going under the name of The Overseas Funeral Service run by a Mr. Vooderman and his partner. Not only is this name used here, but also in London, Bonn, Paris and Amsterdam. They collect the coffins for onward delivery but are held over for one day before they deliver. The diamonds are in the coffins, or inside the bodies.'
Nonsense!' Pieter said. We've already gone through this scenario and not found any in all those we checked. Have you any proof?'
`Not yet, but Marcus and I will find out tonight.'
`What?' Marcus exploded.
`We go into the funeral shop and check out this Dutchman who is due to be flown out to Amsterdam tomorrow.'
`So Mr. Vooderman is just going to let you in the check out this body or coffin to see it one or the other contains illicit diamonds?'
`No. We go in after dark to check both,' I said.
`Are you sure about this?' Pieter asked, none of us realising that we were talking in front of Toni.
`Not one hundred per cent, but I have a feeling that I'm right, and we've only got tonight to find out if I am,' I said, having my fingers crossed under the table.
Well that's enough for me,' Marcus said, bless him. If Tracey thinks it's them, we're going to check them out.'
Then you'll need a driver,' Pieter said, so I'm volunteering my services for this job.'
`What about me?' Toni asked in a plaintive voice.
`You stay home,' Pieter said.
That's not fair,' she whined. Something might happen to you all and I won't know a thing about it.'
She's right,' I said, turning to Pieter. Surely it would look more natural if you two were cuddling in the car instead of one man sitting alone in his car,' I said, for which I got a grateful look from Toni.
`Okay, she can come along too. Now what's the address?'
So it was decided that we wouldn't leave it too late before going out to give some credibility to Pieter and Toni to be necking in the car while Marcus and I were raiding the funeral home. After the meal, I went and sorted out the tools I had brought out with me from England as well as what I would wear that night.
Marcus picked out some dark clothing to wear as I had and when we were ready, we found that the other two had also opted for dark clothes, even though they would be staying in the car. It was close on eleven before we set off and reached Tofs inside of twenty minutes.
The embalming room is at the back,' I explained to them, and that's the way we should go in.'
`What about an alarm system?' Pieter asked.
`We'll just have to take a chance on that,' Marcus said.
`Well if we hear them go off, we'll be standing by to pick you up.'
So Marcus and I got out of the car about a hundred yards away from the place and made our way round the back of the properties until we were at the rear of the house. They didn't have a garden as such as it was more of a yard where a van was standing behind closed gates. These were easy to get over in spite of the fact I was wearing a dress, and we made our way to the back door of the premises. It was here for me to show my skill at picking a lock with the set of skeleton keys I had acquired some years ago when I was a young lad.
It took me less than two minutes to have the back door open and we went inside with just a pencil torch to show us that we were in the back room where the embalming took place. Also, to my satisfaction, was a closed coffin sitting on a set of wooden horses. That the top was screwed down was not a problem as I gave Marcus one of the two screwdrivers I had brought to start opening the top.
We worked in silence, thankful that the place didn't have an alarm system as we both began to unscrew the lid. This didn't take long either until all the screws were out and I then held the torch while Marcus lifted the lid off and put it to one side.
The corpse inside was that of a young man aged twenty four years of age and he had been strangled. This I remembered from the report I'd read earlier in the day, though I couldn't see the marks on his neck for his collar was close up tight to his throat.
He seemed to be asleep and I moved my hand gingerly down into the coffin to start feeling along the sides, being careful so as not to wake him. Stupid bitch, I said to myself. He's dead, but I still had the dread of the corpse suddenly opening his eyes to look at me accusingly for disturbing his rest. I'd seen too many horror films and resolved not to watch any more of them. While I was checking the coffin, Marcus was feeling all over the body and I wondered how he could bring himself to handle a dead body. That's because he's created enough corpse's himself to probably not have thoughts like I did, I said to myself.
I went right round the bloody thing and didn't find anything and neither did Marcus.
`Do you think they've stuffed them up his arse?' I asked in a whisper, thinking of what James Bond had alluded to in the film.
No. That's the first place the customs would look, nor would it be in the lining of the coffin,' he said, his hand moving across the face of the dead man. But there's one place they wouldn't think of looking for the diamonds.'
And that was when he made me sick, for he raised his hand with the screwdriver in it, and plunged it straight into the closed eyelid of the corpse. My stomach heaved and the bile came up into my throat and I clapped my hand over my mouth and rushed to the outside door and went out into the night air and threw up in a flower bed.
I found that it's very difficult to empty your stomach without making a noise as I threw up. I choked, snorted and coughed as my dinner that I'd eaten earlier came out through mouth and nostrils, but I felt better once it was out. I managed to wipe my face and mouth, nose included, with a tissue which I then had to put back in my pocket. I couldn't do anything about the mess I'd made but hoped that they wouldn't connect it to a break in.
I went back inside to find Marcus screwing the lid down on the coffin and was on the last screw when I got to him.
Well?' I asked. Did your disgusting act prove anything?' He didn't say anything as he finished screwing down the lid. Not until it was firmly closed did he look up at me and then open his hand.
There in the middle, were two uncut diamonds and my heart leapt as I looked up into his smiling face.
`I didn't believe it myself when I felt these inside the eye socket. The whole head is filled with them. They must have taken the whole brain out and filled the skull with the diamonds. By Christ Tracey, your hunch was right. So let's get out of here and tell Pieter.'
I made sure that we hadn't left anything behind and as we left, re-locked the door and we made our way back out onto the road and went to find where Pieter had parked. He had seen us coming and had started the engine just as we reached him, and we got in and he drove off.
`Well?' he asked, just as I had done.
`We struck gold. Well diamonds to be precise. Tracey was right on the button. They are being hid in the skull.' Pieter used a word I didn't understand as it was spoken in Swahili but got the gist of it.
`I'll have the place raided straight away,' Pieter said as he drove us towards his home.
No,' said Marcus. Not yet. Let's get to the other end of the line before we break up the organisation. The body is being flown out to Amsterdam tomorrow. Get me two tickets on the same flight and alert your opposite number there to meet us so that we can follow it through. No point if it just stops this end for the time being, let's get the lot that are buying them.'
`It makes sense what you are saying, but my boss would rather clear up our end because once the body leaves South Africa, we have no evidence.'
`I agree with what you are saying, but let us at least catch the end dealer first and then, with us keeping it quiet for the time being, you'll be able to nab them with the next body they ship out.'
It didn't sit too well with Pieter, but Marcus talked him round to catch the lot rather than just the shippers.
As soon as we arrived at Pieter's home, he phoned and got us two seats on the same flight before leaving us to go to see his boss and to liaise with his opposite number in Amsterdam. He didn't get back till breakfast time.
Meanwhile, Toni was overjoyed for me being right and revelled in the gory details of where they were hidden. I was a bit more sober in my self praise out loud but was immensely pleased with myself for being right. I knocked back several large gin and tonics feeling quite high on the adrenalin of the exciting find and really had to restrain myself from attacking Marcus' body there and then to fuck myself stupid on his magnificent tool.
It didn't take me long to get him into bed to do just that. It was almost like rape, but in reverse. Such was my high as I rode on him that I even masturbated myself and came at the same time as him, my gunge splashing all over his chest as he came inside me. Then it was kissing and cuddling as he told me how clever I was in deducing the carrier of the stolen diamonds.
Elementary deduction my dear Watson,' I smiled up at him as I played with his penis as he held me in his arms. But it was you who actually found the diamonds,' I said.
Not without your help,' he said as he kissed me. Now let's get some sleep for we've still got lots more to do before we're finished with this.' I would have liked him to be more masterful and fuck me again, but he was right, we did need the sleep and so I slept, in his arms.
Chapter Seven
I woke up to the pleasant surprise of him with his mouth full of my cock and stroked his hair as he sucked on me and let him bring me to an orgasm which he now seemed to enjoy as much as I did. After I had come in his mouth and we kissed, passing my sperm back and forth between our lips, I got a condom out and fitted it onto his hard member. I then had the pleasure of being fucked again by my husband and revelled in his doing it to me once more.
Both filled with love, we kissed some more before going for our shower and breakfast. It was during the meal that Pieter showed up, not having had any sleep and said that all was arranged. He ate with us before driving us to the airport, tired as he was and saw that we were in the hands of the airline before taking his leave. I kissed him and Toni and thanked them both for having us, giving her a wink as I said this last bit.
We sat in the first class lounge having a drink before boarding when a man approached us and flashed his warrant card and took us out onto a private viewing platform and we watched as the same van we'd seen the night before run up to our plane and watched the coffin being taken from it and loaded onto the aircraft.
Good luck on the rest of the operation,' he said as he took us back to the lounge. The Dutch people will contact you on arrival.' With that, he left us and ten minutes later, we boarded the plane ourselves. I couldn't really relax on the flight I was so excited at what we were doing, knowing that down in the cargo hold was a dead body that was full of diamonds in its skull. Gruesome though it was, it was still exciting that we would be in at the kill as it were. I only picked at the wonderful meals that we were served and still managed to have a nap before it was announced that we would soon be landing.
Sir Kane and Lady Kane,' a man addressed us at the passport control. We've been expecting you. Please come with me.' Our arrival was un-noticed by other passengers as we were the first ones off the aircraft, and we followed this man to another private viewing area and sat down and were given drinks as the plane was being unloaded. It was like watching the loading in reverse for an almost identical van drove out onto the tarmac and was there to see the coffin being unloaded and put into the back of the van.
Then we were escorted, rather quickly, downstairs and put into a waiting car and were driven out of Schipol Airport, following, at a distance, the van with our coffin inside. I had no idea where we were going as we followed this van from the airport till it finally stopped at a house very similar to the one where the coffin had come from. It drove into a yard and the gates closed and that was it. Rather an anti-climax, but there wasn't anything else we could do at this time. We knew that the body would stay there for at least twenty four hours before being taken on to another funeral parlour, but when the diamonds would change hands, we had no way of knowing.
It turned out that the Dutch authorities were going to keep the place under observation, even to the point of following the coffin to see that it was in fact buried. So there was not much more we could do this day, and we then went off to the hotel that they had booked us into for the next few nights.
As I've already said, it was a bit of an anti climax without anything happening for at least a day which wasn't what normally happened when one was around Marcus. Once the ball started rolling with him, things kept happening almost nonstop. Like us having sex, which we got straight into once we were inside our hotel room. Tired as we were, we still wanted each other badly. Him wanting to fuck me and me wanting him to do just that. So it was clothes off and into the position I went and welcomed him back inside me as he rode me from behind. I still drooled as he moved his heavy cock in me, sliding it back and forth, exciting and yet calming the nerves inside my back passage. To have that organ of his giving me such a thrill that I felt I would never tire of having him have me in this way. I know I've said it more than once, but I did love this man and his cock, especially where it was now, reaming me and giving us both much pleasure.
Next day, after our usual session, we went to the police headquarters in Amsterdam and chatted to some of their top boys who I think were impressed that it was an English knight and his wife who had cracked this smuggling ring. We went and cruised by the funeral place and heard the chat, translated for us, of the surveillance vehicles of the fact that nothing had happened so far.
It was the following day that they fucked everything up for us. Well not quite, but enough to make us curse them for their anxiety in getting a collar. We were out in a car and heard that two villains known to them had entered the premises and surmised that they were there to collect the gems. Their equivalent of a British swat team moved in and caught these two men and the two men who run the place, red handed with the smuggled diamonds.
Marcus blew a gasket when he was told that this team had gone in. He screamed and swore at them that we had wanted to nab the second pair of men after they had collected the diamonds and passed them on to the final dealer. It was him that we had wanted to collar, not the gofers.
But they had moved in and there was nothing we could do about it. We went in after them and saw the four men in handcuffs and the cadaver with its skull still open and on another table, twelve little bags that contained the diamonds. We were asked to verify that this was the corpse that we had checked in Johannesburg and said that it was. But the sight of it had almost made me sick again for the scalp had been pulled off from the back of the skull down towards the face. The features of the face were so grotesque with the scalp being pulled down so low.
I then helped them put the small pouches of the diamonds into a bag that was sealed as evidence before that and the men were taken away. There was a little sleight of hand which I will talk about later, and we then went off to headquarters to get them to suppress the news of the capture until we had spoken to Pieter, who would, like us, be furious at the pre-emptive strike because it meant he couldn't move in against the perpetrators.
As predicted, he was as furious as Marcus at the inept handling of the situation but agreed with Marcus that the loss of one snatch didn't mean that we had lost out altogether. If it could be kept quiet about the Dutch authorities taking in the Amsterdam people of the organisation, they might still continue to ship bodies to another country when a cadaver became available.
We didn't know that was exactly what was just about to happen, for on that very day, four English people, two young men and women died in a car accident. Pieter, with the power invested in him, had the police hold back on the names of the victims and made sure that after the autopsies had been performed, they would be handed over to the Tofs organisation.
Marcus had to contact London and spoke to Spencer to say that the operation that we had set up had failed but it didn't mean that it was all over as he would explain when we got to London. So we checked out of our hotel and caught the next flight to London.
Well that was a right cock up,' Marcus said to me when we were in the air. We've spent all that time and money and come out with nothing.' He sounded right disgusted and it amused me that I could alter that. I went into my handbag and pulled out a small pouch and dropped in his lap.
`What's this?'
`Well, we counted twelve of these into the bag that was sealed, but it's not my fault when they recount them and only find eleven.'
`You shouldn't have done that. They're not our diamonds.'
`No they're not. But do you think the Dutch are going to hand over what they've got to the South Africans? I don't think so. So either you use these to offset our expenses or give them to Pieter. It doesn't matter to me.'
`We'll talk about it later,' he said, putting the pouch away in his pocket.
It was just a short hop from Amsterdam to London and so we soon landed and getting a taxi, were soon on our way home. But we didn't go there but went straight to Whitehall to see Spencer.
Well done Kane,' he said to Marcus when we sat down in his office. The Dutch moved a bit premature, but they recovered the diamonds.'
`It wasn't my doing sir. Tracey was the one you should be saying well done to. It was her that found out the method and the people involved.'
`Oh, er, well done Ka..., er, Tracey.'
`Why thank you sir,' I said, giving him a sweet smile.
`I haven't spoken to Pieter yet but I expect he and the government there are a bit peeved at the Dutch,' Marcus said to Spencer.
`Damn right they are, but we've just had news that four British people have been killed in a car accident and I've instructed our man at the embassy there to see this agency and tell them he's acting on behalf of the relatives of the victims and for them to see about shipping the bodies back home.'
`Well I suppose that's good news for us but bad news for the families involved. Do they know yet?'
`They're being told now and that we are footing the bill to have them brought home. So van Reiter can have another go.'
`Can I interrupt sir?' I asked.
`Yes Tracey?' Spencer asked.
`Might I suggest that Pieter have the van from the embalmers filmed leaving the premises and to continue filming till the coffins are loaded onto the plane. Then to have a second camera filming from inside the cargo hold of the plane to show the van arriving, unloading and the coffins placed on board. With the camera still running, he should have two morticians inside the hold to then open a coffin and see if there are any diamonds inside the skull. This will then be enough evidence to have them arrested at that end after we collar the final receiver of the diamonds this end.
We could also film this end when the coffins are unloaded onto their van to carry on till they are delivered to wherever the place is in London. We could then also follow who ever collects the diamonds to see where they end up.'
`Sounds good to me,' said Marcus, and I was pleased to see that Spencer was slowly nodding his head as he weighed up what I had just said.
I agree,' he finally said. I'll get onto South Africa and ask them if they can do this without letting this end of the operation know that we are on to them.'
With that, we left to go home.
`I hope we get called in to follow this up from our end,' I said to Marcus as the taxi drove us home.
I'll make sure we do,' he replied. I'll get Pieter to speak on our behalf and let us know himself when and if they do actually send any diamonds this time.'
It was only a short ride to our home and I was glad to be there though I would have liked to have spent a bit more time in South Africa and seen a bit more of the country. I made us a lovely dinner and we had a bottle of South African wine to wash it down and while I was preparing the meal, Marcus spoke to Pieter over the phone. So after we had eaten, it was to our own bed we went to make slow love to one another.
