Chapter 21. Chez les Roberts: some sadness and many surprises.

Tommy's mother runs out the door as soon as she hears them pulling up. Arms extended. Big hugs for both of her "sons." She immediately notices Dylan's collar and checks it out. "Nice and heavy, Tommy. Feels like you're keeping him prisoner." Tommy winks at Dylan. Dylan blushes and says, "Prisoner of love. Finally after wanting it for so long."

The boys take their things out of the trunk of the car and walk into the house, which smells of fresh baking. Tommy takes a big sniff. "Mom, I love it when the house smells like this."

"Go put your things upstairs, boys, and get settled in." All of a sudden Dylan realizes where Tommy got the phrase "settle in," which now has a much richer meaning for him. they go upstairs and when they open the door to Tommy's room, they are delighted to see that Mom has taken the bunk beds out and replaced them with a queen-sized bed.

Dylan falls on the bed and Tommy falls on top of him, kissing his neck. Tommy's sister Cheryl walks into the room and begins to giggle. "Oh, it's so sweet seeing you two like this. Finally. I've been waiting for years for you to realize the love you have for each other."

Tommy gets off Dylan and goes to hug his sister. "I'm surprised to see you here, Cher"

"I came home especially for this, but I have to fly back early Sunday morning. But I just had to get a look at you two being affectionate with each other and not hiding your feelings."

Tommy replies. `It wasn't so much as hiding as just being in denial about how much I loved this guy, and how I've always loved him. I just thought we were going to be best buddies forever, nothing like this."

Cheryl says, "Okay boys, let's go downstairs together. Dad will be home soon. Mom's roasting a turkey for the occasion, because this is like a big Thanksgiving!"

The guys go thundering down the stairs and the sound is music to Mom's ears. They pop into the kitchen.

"I'm so happy to have you home, my sons, and to celebrate what we have always known about you two: the reality of your love for each other." Tommy leans over and kisses Dylan on the cheek and then his mother does the same to both of them.

"Tommy, you have some mail on the table here. Dylan, the things that were sent over from your former home are in the guest room upstairs. I also left some trash bags for things you want to discard, and two sturdy packing crates for things you wish to bring to the new house with you." "thank you, Momma," says Dylan and he heads over there. Tommy tells him,

"I'm going to read this card I got in the mail and then I'll be up to help you, baby." Dylan heads upstairs. Tommy opens his card with a surprise on his face, and, as he reads it, tears come to his eyes.

"What is it, sweetheart?" his mother asks. "This is from Dylan, Mom. I gave him some money the other day and he used it to buy me a card and he wrote a beautiful message in it. It is extremely personal, so I can't show it to you. That would embarrass him very much." Tears flow down Tommy's cheek. "Mom, he loves me so very much. I can't imagine what it must have been like for the past few years, when he was so afraid to tell me."

Tommy's mother gives him a gentle hug. "I'm afraid fear is always going to drag him down, son. Be patient with him." "I am, Mom. Always. At times he is so vulnerable, but I'm learning how to help him now that everything is out in the open between us. Oh, darn, I have to get up there right away. It might really hurt for him to see the things from his family."

"Go, sweetheart. Take your time with him if you need it."

Tommy rushes upstairs, holding the card, tears still in his eyes. When he walks into the room, Dylan is busy putting his old underwear into one of the trash bags, but his hands are shaking. Tommy goes over to him, holding the card. "Sweetheart, I love you so much. I will always cherish this card and the words you told me. They seem especially meaningful after the conversation we had in the car."

"And after my spanking, Tommy." Dylan starts to cry. "Help me, baby, it hurts so much to go through this stuff." Tommy sits on the bed and bids Dylan come over to him. "Settle in. boy, settle in. I'm here. You don't need to do this now if you don't want to. But let me help you if you want."

Dylan sits on Tommy's lap, but squirms a bit because his butt is still rather sore. He nestles himself into Tommy's lap with a few moans. "My sore butt helps me settle, Tommy. I feel your hands on me." Then he gets up and kneels on the floor in front of a full box. He opens the box.

"Look, Tommy! It's my trophies and rewards from school!" He begins to smile. Tommy massages his shoulders. `Look at all that! I'm so glad none of it was lost." They take out different things and Dylan reminds Tommy of the meaning they had at the time and the meaning they have now.

Tommy begins to carefully put them in one of the packing crates his mother provided. He opens another box himself to find a large piece of paper on the top with writing in red crayon: "You are going to burn in hell, your worthless disgusting faggot, and it's going to hurt a lot worse than anything I could ever do to you!" A message from Tiger, apparently.

Dylan is thumbing through an old yearbook and doesn't notice what Tommy has found. Tommy quickly crumbles it up and puts it in one of the trash bags. Better Dylan never sees it. The rest of the things in that box are clothes, some quite old and worn out. "This box has clothing, Dylan. Old stuff, mainly. Stuff I wouldn't want you to wear any more."

Dylan turns to Tommy. "Please go through it. Throw away what you want and keep what you still want me to wear. Please? You can take charge." Tommy goes through the box, and most of it goes directly into the trash bag. He saves two shirts and a pair of shorts he likes Dylan to wear. All the rest is discarded.

One box has pictures in it. Most are old. Tommy wants Dylan to save one picture of him, taken when he was in middle school. There is also a picture of Dylan and Tommy together, arms around each other with big grins on their faces. They save that picture as well.

There is one picture of Tommy, but it was defaced. Unfortunately Dylan sees it and starts to cry again. "he hated you too and you did nothing but be nice to me," he sobs. Tommy gently takes the picture out of Dylan's hands and puts it into the trash. "There are plenty of pictures of me around here. You pick out the ones you like the most and you can have them for your own." He holds Dylan in his arms and lets the boy sob out his pain.

Their mother quietly enters in the room, looking sadly upon the boys and noting Dylan's tears. She leaves the room and goes to the bathroom to bring back something to clean Dylan's face. Dylan looks at her and begins to sob all over again. "I'm sorry, Momma. I'm sorry." Their mother gets down on the floor with them. Tommy hands Dylan to her and he cries in her arms. Tommy explains, "there was only one picture of me in the box, but Dylan's brother defaced it with horrible language. I've already thrown it away. I don't think I want Dylan to go through anything else. I'll take care of it myself. There might be more hatred hidden in the remaining two boxes."

Mom wipes Dylan's face for him and says to him, "You can have any picture of Tommy in this house that you want, sweetheart, and take it home with you. You are loved here. You are safe here. You are a good boy and we cherish you for the gift that you are." Dylan settles down. Mom stands and Tommy helps Dylan stand up.

"Dylan, why don't you come downstairs with me and help me cook. You have a lot to learn in the kitchen, son. I have to mash the potatoes yet. You can help. Okay?"

Dylan smiles and heads down with her. Tommy opens the other two boxes and yes, indeed, there is some horrible stuff mixed in with toys and trinkets. Dylan's favorite Teddy Bear was eviscerated. Things like that. Everything goes in the trash except Dylan's Rubix Cube.

As Tommy goes downstairs, he hears laughter coming from the kitchen. Relieved, he enters the room. He whispers to his mother, "More hate!" She shakes her head and continues to supervise Dylan's efforts to make mashed potatoes.

Dylan smiles at Tommy. "Tommy, I learned how to make gravy!" "Yum!" Tommy goes and peeks over Dylan's shoulder. "Looking pretty good, babe!" His mother says, "Actually, I should teach the both of you how to cook!" "I can do a good breakfast," protests Tommy. "He sure can," agrees Dylan, "especially pancakes!"

"Well then, you can do breakfast tomorrow, son," says his mother. "Deal!" agrees Tommy. `Your appointment with Doctor Mary is at 10:15 am, so you won't have to get up too early."

"Nobody's getting up early tomorrow!" says a deep, cheerful male voice, as their father enters the kitchen!" "Daddy!" yells Tommy, who runs over to him for a big hug and kiss. Dylan puts down what he is doing and turns around with a big smile on his face. "Pop!" he cries, and spreads his arms for a Dad hug. Dad hugs Dylan and kisses his cheek and says,

"Welcome home, son! We are all so happy for you and so proud of you!" Dylan soaks up the praise like a sponge as he winks at his lover. Tommy's Dad slips into take-charge mode. "Tommy, would you do me a favor, please?" "Sure, Dad? What do you need?" "Would you go upstairs and try on your navy blue suit to see if it still fits well? After supper tonight, I'm taking Dylan out to get a suit and if needed, one for you as well. I would like you fellows to wear suits to the club for brunch Sunday morning." "Sure thing, Dad. I don't think I've put on any weight." Tommy goes upstairs to do what his father asked.

Thomas kisses his wife hello and is delighted to see a beautifully browned turkey sitting alongside the stove on a silver platter. "How lovely, darling. A fitting bird for a fitting celebration!" Dylan stands there with his "shy boy" face on. It registers with Thomas who goes over and puts his hand under Dylan's cheek.

"Dylan, you deserve nothing but good things to happen to you as you become a full-fledged member of our family. As we always tell you, we love you and you are safe here. And you are very, very special to us all, and I am so grateful to you because you have done so much good for Tommy ever since you two were little boys. I only say this because Tommy is upstairs, because I wouldn't want to embarrass him, but I truly believe that being your friend has brought out all the best in Tommy. I have always admired how devoted he has been to you and how he has helped you through many rough times. I am overjoyed that he has finally been able to acknowledge his love for you."

"So much love for him," Tommy says, coming into the kitchen in his suit. Thomas looks him up and down. "Turn around, son?" Tommy does so.

"Wonderful! You are right. You haven't gained any weight since we got you that suit last year. It's too bad I didn't think to get one for Dylan at the same time. I just hope Sanders will be able to accommodate Dylan and manage alterations in only one day. What do you say, Dylan, would you like a suit the same color as Tommy's or something a little different, say a grey or dark green?" Dylan looks to Tommy. "It would be nice if we could have the same color," Tommy answers. If not, I'd prefer him to have dark green and not grey." "Well, says Thomas, I can see who wears the pants in this family." The boys break into hysterics over this. "What did I say?" Thomas is puzzled.

"Don't worry, Dad, you just hit on a big in-joke between us. Nothing we can share, I'm afraid."

Thomas chuckles. "You two could publish a book full of all your in-jokes over the years. It would probably make for some interesting reading." "It would indeed, Dad, except we wouldn't want to include anything based on what has happened over the past week!" Dylan turns bright red again. Mom says, "Dylan, you are so amazingly adorable when you blush. Have I ever told you that, sweetheart." "No, ma'am." "Well, I'm sure there is a whole new dimension of very personal things between the two of you, and we are not going to be too curious. WE have in-jokes of our own, boys, if you could imagine that!"

Cheryl comes into the kitchen. "Anything I can help with, Mom?" she asks. "Would you go the cellar and bring up a bottle of Chardonnay? this occasion deserves a bit of wine." Cheryl goes to fetch the wine. "I think everything is ready. Tommy, please go and set the table in the dining room. Good china." "Sure, Mom." "I'll help you, Tommy." says Dylan. He needs a breather from all the heavy emotion in the kitchen.

"Wait a minute, sweetheart," says Mom. "Would you do the honors and bring the turkey to the table. Set it in front of Dad's place." Dylan goes to do what he was asked. Tommy says to him, "Go upstairs, pup, and put nicer clothes on. I'll join you in just a second. Dad is keeping his suit on and I don't want us to look like a couple of ragamuffins." Dylan kisses him and goes up to obey. As soon as Tommy sets the table, he goes up as well. The boys change their clothes.

Dylan looks nervous about something, "What's on your mind, pup?" "If I'm gonna be fitted for a suit, what am I gonna do about the cage?" "Don't worry about that. He'll simply ask you if you dress right' or dress left'—which way you dick hangs. Just tell him it doesn't matter because you are very small. Accept the humiliation, slave."

Dylan bows his head. "Yes, Master." Tommy embraces him and messes his hair. "I think we should put that piece back on the cage that pushes your junk out a bit." He goes to get it and then pulls down Dylan's pants and reattaches the bar. Dylan grimaces. "I'll take it off you as soon as you get back from Sanders. I know you don't like it. But, damn, it sure does look good when you're wearing a pair of pants!"

He smacks Dylan's balls a bit before pulling his pants back up. "oof! I'm yours, Sir. All of me. I love you so much. I almost called you Sir downstairs. I'd better be careful." Tommy smiles at him and ruffles his hair. "Mine, boy. All mine." Let's go back downstairs."

Dinner is a joyous affair. Thomas asks if they've given any consideration to a date for the wedding. Both boys admit that they don't want to wait too long, since they've had almost an 18-year engagement. Tommy wonders if it would cause any great problems if they had it the Saturday after the college's graduation so most of their friends would still be around for the occasion.

Thomas says he'll check with the club for availability. If that isn't possible, they could actually have a tent erected and do it right on their own grounds. Dylan smiles and Tommy picks right up on it. "The tent would be wonderful, Dad."

Thomas turns to Dylan for his opinion, knowing full well that Dylan will go along with what Tommy wants, but he's being diplomatic, allowing Dylan to have his say. "I agree with Tommy," he says. And so, without any further complications, the date is set! And the venue!

Mom says they will have desert after Thomas and Dylan get back from Sanders. Cheryl and Tommy get up to clear the table. Dylan also gets up, but Thomas asks him to remain behind. He hands Dylan an envelope. "Open it, son." Dylan does so and is a little puzzled about what it contains. There is a credit card with the name Dylan Roberts on it, a health card in the same name, a personal ID with the address of their new home and also a debit card. "Dylan Roberts?" he asks with tears in his eyes.

"Let me explain, Dylan. Being part of the Roberts family has certain advantages but along with the advantages come many complications. I had to jump the gun on your wedding and register you as Dylan Roberts rather than Dylan Sinclair in order to avoid some complex problems down the road a piece. What matters to me, Dylan, is that I want you fully invested and fully protected in all the ways that Tommy is as well. Since you have the ID, you'll be able to use the cards without any problem. The debit card has $1000 on it, which I'm sure is more than enough you'll need until the wedding."

"but I never need anything, Pop, Tommy has always taken care of me. I have nothing. No money. No credit. Everything comes to me from Tommy." "I know that, son, but just humor me on this, even if you never use those cards. You and Tommy and work it out between you. But you've never had health insurance. When you were hospitalized from beatings, we took care of it for you. Your parents sure didn't care.

And so, I don't want the Sinclair name on anything legal. But I'd hate to think that for some reason you were on your own and run into any problems. This just all keeps you safe. And official. Tommy walks in at that moment. "What, official?" Dylan shows Tommy the cards, still fighting back tears. "Look what Pop did for me, Tommy! He married us early!" He hands the cards to Tommy. "You hold these, please, baby? I don't even have a wallet."

"We'll take care of that at Sanders, son. In fact, let's get going now." Tommy gets up with Dylan. "I'd like to come along, Dad. Dylan will feel safer." "Of course he would. Let's go, boys." He kisses his wife and thanks her for the dinner, and the three of them head out.

Dylan is awestruck by everything that's happened. Thomas has something else to take care of tonight. "when we get back, Tommy, I have some things to go over with you as well." "sure thing, Dad. Thanks for doing what you just did for Dylan. At long last, he's becoming a real legal person, not just a neglected and abused waif in an ugly place." Tommy is sitting in the back seat. He leans forward and puts his hands on Dylan's shoulders and kisses the back of his neck. "Mine," he whispers. His father overhears it. "Yes, sons. Yours. You belong to each other. And as far as I've been able to see, you always have."

"I am the luckiest boy on the planet," Dylan muses. "The words thank you' don't say enough." Tommy risks being a bit riské: "You have many ways to say thank you' to me, boy." "Yes, Sir," Dylan slips.

Thomas hears that and thinks to himself, "So that's the way it is. Based on what I've seen through the years, I'm not surprised.. However they want to play it out is certainly fine with me, and now I no longer have to worry about Dylan tossed out into a cruel world on his own."

Sanders Inc. is a lovely establishment with so many suits that Dylan's eyes don't know where to look first. Apparently, Mr. Sanders has a long-standing relationship with Thomas and is going to take care of them personally. He is the tailor par excellence for the entire corporation, so Thomas and by extension, his sons, are VIP's in his eyes. H

e recognizes Tommy and greets him with a warm handshake. Tommy introduces Dylan and indicates that he is the one they are seeking to outfit. "It might be helpful you to know, Sir, that we are basically the same size. In fact, we often wear one another's clothes.

"Well, then, that's a good place to start because I have your records in my system." He uses an IPad to look up the information. "And what are you seeking, exactly?" Tommy takes charge: "If possible, the same suit that we bought last year. Same cut, same color if at all possible. We like dressing like twin brothers." Sanders smiles and looks Dylan over. He notices the collar.

"Dylan, my attention is drawn to that beautiful necklace you are wearing. Do you mind if I touch it." "No, not at all, Sir." Sanders fingers it and notes its weight. "If I'm not mistaken," he says, "this is something you bought at Evanston's Jewelers." Now there's a twinkle in his eye. Tommy moves right in there. "Yes, indeed, we bought that and a number of other items from his special stock." Communication successful. "let me see what I can come up with for you," he says, and walks off to peruse his stock.

Tommy smiles at Dylan. "He's hip. He knows our scene. This makes things much easier." Dylan blushes.

Meanwhile, Thomas is moving through the store picking out shirts and ties, cuff links, a tie pin. He knows his son's size, so this is quite easy for him. He really wants to outfit Dylan with a wardrobe that he doesn't have to be ashamed of, that he can actually wear with pride. He calls Tommy over. "What do you think about these things?" "Excellent, Dad. And how about some leisure stuff as well. He only owns one pair of long pants and his other leisure stuff went right into the trash bag when I inspected it." "what do you suggest?" "That's easy. Whatever I'd wear."

"And do you want something for yourself?" "That's no problem, Dad. We always wear each other's clothes when I want us to. Although it is a rare occasion I wear something belonging to Dylan." "and what about a wallet?"

"Maybe I'll let him pick one out himself. Let's see what kind of shape he's in after the fitting. Don't forget that this is all completely new to him and he's so easily overwhelmed and . . . " "Understood," his father says. "I'll leave it all up to you. You know best how to handle him."

Sanders has found the suit he wants Dylan to try on. They go back into the fitting rooms. Tommy notices and joins them, touching Dylan in the back just to let him know he's not alone. Sanders asks Dylan to strip to his underwear. Dylan hesitates, so Tommy reaches out to help him. Off comes the shirt, the shoes (damn, he needs new shoes!) and finally, the pants. Sanders notes, "I see he wears the same kind of boxer briefs that you usually select." "That's right," says Tommy. "We've been roommates at school this year and we just got into the habit of both wearing the same thing. It makes life so much simpler."

Sanders says to Dylan, "Dylan, if you don't mind, we need to get a shirt for you to put on so we can adjust the suit in a real situation." Tommy says "My Dad just picked out a number of shirts for Dylan. I'll go and get one from him." He leaves the room.

Sanders uses this as an opportunity to speak privately to Dylan. "Please relax, son. I am a good friend of Mr. Evanston and a frequent customer of him myself. What I'm trying to tell you is that I understand, son. I am quite impressed by your collar (Dylan almost jumps when he hears him use the word collar.) Tommy must love you very much. I know how permanent Evanston's collars are. It can only be removed by breaking it. You are locked into a relationship which means everything to you right now, and I can't possibly imagine that you would ever want to break free of that collar. Especially considering the family that is obviously adopting you."

Dylan is speechless, but nods his head and smiles. Tommy comes back with a shirt. They open the package and remove the pins and things. He holds the shirt open for Dylan to put on. He nods to Dylan and Dylan gets into the shirt. "Dad is getting you some cufflinks too. All these shirts require them." Sanders says, "That shirt looks very good on you and it will go well with this suit. Let's try on the pants, son. Tell me which way you dress . . . left or right?"

Dylan looks panic-stricken. Tommy quietly and calmly says to Sanders, it won't matter. Dylan is built small, and, in addition he is locked in, if you know what I mean." "Certainly. May I take a look?" "Dylan, pull down your underpants and let Sanders have a look. He won't touch you. Don't worry." Dylan slowly pulls down the front of his drawers and exposes the cage and his balls hanging beneath it." Sanders says, "high quality, but why am I not surprised. Now I have one question for you, Tommy. Will he always be locked up when wearing this suit?"

"Yes, Sir. Absolutely. Every single time." Dylan slips off into sub space and simply pictures himself bowing before Tommy and licking his feet. Nothing else registers. Tommy notes his condition and reaches out to pull his underpants back up and settles them in place. Sanders holds out the pants and Tommy directs Dylan what to do to put them on. Actually, Tommy does most of the work. Before the pants go completely up, however, Tommy reaches back and squeezes Dylan's sore backside. Dylan closes his eyes and breathes through his teeth. Sanders and Tommy get Dylan all closed up.

"This is a perfect fit," says Sanders, considering that the boy is locked and doesn't require any adjustments in the private area. I am very pleased with the way this is turning out. Have the boy try on the vest, Tommy, and let me look it over. Excellent. You'll have to make sure it is tightened in the back more than your own. The boy is rather on the frail side. Let's try on the jacket." Tommy gets him into the jacket, which is a little too large. "Dylan, I'll need to be touching you around the torso. Just a bit, hon." Sanders makes the necessary marks. "This is a very simple alteration. I'll have it for you by noon tomorrow. I will also label each of the items with a discrete D so you don't get the two suits confused."

"Excellent idea, Mr. Sanders. Thank you so much. OH by, the way, in case you haven't noticed, we need shoes too. One dress pair and something for leisure time. And, of course, a collection of decent socks."

"I'll take care of that while you help your boy get dressed, Tommy." He leaves the room. Tommy wraps his arms around Dylan and kisses him passionately. "You did well, pup. I'm so pleased with you. Can you talk now?"

"Yes, Sir. This is an out-of-body experience for me. It's like you are completely changing my identity to be just what you want it to be, at least on the outside." "To a point. Just realize that you are no longer going to look like a ragamuffin anymore, and there simply will be no more remarks about you not being good enough for me. How's your ass, by the way?" "it feels like I had a good spanking not too long ago. when you squeezed me, my cock tried to fight its way out of the cage. I'm feeling wonderful, sweetheart." "Okay, let's go outside and take a look at shoes."

When they come out of the room, Thomas comes over and summons Dylan. "Come here, son, and look at the wallets and portfolios. I'd like you to pick something out so you can use it to carry your cards and any cash you might have." There are so many. Dylan picks the simplest one he can find. It's not even leather. "No," Tommy says. Dylan puts it back. "over here. One of these." Dylan picks out the one he likes the best and looks to Tommy, who smiles and nods his head.

Finally, at long last, the shopping is done. Several packages and several thousand dollars later, they get back into the car. Thomas asks Tommy to drive so that he and Dylan can sit side by side while he takes the back seat. Tommy tells Dylan that they don't have unpack much, only what they're be wearing to the Club on Sunday. "Dad, I think I need to get this boy to bed. He's looking pale. I hope Mom doesn't mind if we skip desert."

"that's fine. But tomorrow you and I need to have a chat about a recent development that is going to be a real blessing in your life. But it can wait. Take care of Dylan." Thomas kisses both of them and they go upstairs.

Dylan is eager to strip down to nothing. Tommy locks their door and slowly undresses part of the way himself. Dylan lies on his back on the bed and hangs his head off the side the way Tommy positioned him the other night. "Too tired to suck, Sir. Please fuck your boy, Sir. All the way down, Sir. Use me like your toyboy slave, please? I need to drink you." Tommy gives him exactly what he needs, but while he fucks the boy's face, he uses his hands to torment his nipples. He notes that the harder he works the nipples, the more open the boy's throat becomes. he'll have to mention that at another time. For now, just a quick fuck and he pulls out so dylan can taste his ejaculation and roll it around in his mouth before swallowing.

"thank you, Sir. Can I pee, Sir?"

"come with me, boy. sit down and let it spill out of you." Tommy gets some warm soapy water ready for a clean-up. That ritual completed, Tommy stand over the toilet to relieve himself. Dylan kneels as he has been trained lately, but he can hardly keep his eyes open. Tommy finishes and shakes his dick and then just has Dylan lick the tip. He practically carried Dylan to the bed.

In no time, they spoon and Tommy speaks of his love, but he doesn't really think Dylan has heard him. Tommy says a prayer for Dylan's well-being, ruffles his hair, and quickly falls asleep himself.
