This story, while fictional, is based on many real experiences. It starts slowly but will build in the following chapters. As this is my first effort at erotic literature, I would be grateful for all feedback and happy for people to reach out to discuss anything that may catch their interest.

Tom finds his Daddy -- Chapter 1

It was a busy afternoon in the members bar at Royal Randwick Racecourse, the headquarters for thoroughbred horse racing in Sydney. It was a glorious spring day on the first Saturday of the spring carnival. The crowd was the usual mix of older hardened racing tragics, clueless social climbers and the usual gaggle of beautiful young things getting pissed and trying to get laid. So, you know just an ordinary day at the races.

I was here to watch a horse that I co-owned with a group of mates that I had known since my university days. It had a fair chance in a moderate race, the day promised to be an enjoyable day of punting, drinking and laughing with old friends.

I am a moderately successful business owner and investor, 57, 185cm (about 6'1"), 85 kg, slim when I was young slightly less slim now, but keep fit with intermittent fasting, walking and time at the gym. Certainly not a slob, greying short hair, glasses and have been told I look attractive and a bit intimidating, not sure why but there you go. I am happily married though my wife and I no longer have a sexual relationship due to mutual agreement but are good friends, we have three daughters. I would define myself as bisexual, but now mainly into guys, though infrequently as I like to find a regular friend, my preference is a younger guy in their late twenties to mid-thirties, about the same age as my sons would be if I had any. I haven't been with anyone for about a year, and I am starting to wonder if I may not find anyone again.

It's about midafternoon and things are starting to get well lubricated, alcohol wise, and the big race is about an hour away. Our horse ran and finished a creditable third. Everyone is happy with the result and excited to see how he will improve at his next run. I am taking it slowly, on my way to the toilet, I have to shout some beers for my mates I'm with, so will need to join the line for the bar which is becoming increasingly long. I walk around a blind corner and crash straight into someone hard and solid, I bounce off and hit the wall. I look up and see a young, very handsome, masculine, surprised face. He immediately starts apologizing and seems incredibly embarrassed. I thank him for the apology and reassure him everything is fine, and we part ways.

I wander back after a piss and join the line for the bar. Right ahead of me is crash boy. He is scrolling on his phone, and I get a chance to check him out. He looks in his mid-twenties although could be older, 175cm (about 5'9"), 75kg, athletic, swimmers build, blond hair, he fits his suit beautifully, its tight enough to hint at the athlete it contains but not too tight, lovely firm ass, broad shoulders. He is hot.

He looks up from his phone and we happen to be looking at each other, I smile, he smiles back. "So, are you ready to fight now?" I joked. "No, I need a few more beers but then I'll track you down" we both laugh, he is a quick-witted guy, confident but not cocky. "I'm Peter" I volunteer "Tom" we shake hands, he has a firm neutral handshake, used to meeting people in a professional setting no bullshit alpha male hand crushing with this guy. "What brings you here Tom? Do you have a horse racing?" "Hah no way!"

"I've come with my boss we have had a hectic month, 15-hour days and two all nighters this week alone, my boss is a bit of a hard ass. But, to his credit, he has invited me and a couple of coworkers to a day at the races." Tom replied

"I thought you might still be at Uni" I said with a smile as he did look young.

"Thanks" he laughed, "No I'm 28, been out for 4 years and working for one of the big four law firms in the city, hope to make partner one day so hence the all nighters" he shrugged.

Tom was very easy to talk to, we got on well, the line was slow moving so we had a nice chat. He told me he grew up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, was brought up by his Mum, did well at public school, enrolled into Sydney Uni, achieved an honors degree and now works in one of the top Law firms in the country. I complimented him on his fitness, and he smiled and said it was years of swimming in the surf. He had been a member of the local surf lifesaving club and competed at a state and national level in swimming and surf boat events. The surf boat events are very brutal and only the fitness and toughest members of the club compete in these. These days he couldn't compete, so he tended to swim 3-4 days a week before work at the "Boy" Charlton pool in the Domain an area very close to the city. Even though he looked like a model he was a tough fella, though very low key about it and quite modest and humble.

We both felt very at ease in each other's company, I could tell by his body language, as he began to relax more and more. I'm a good listener, but he seemed really interested in asking things about my life. We finally got to the head of the line, bought our beers for our friends and parted ways. He seemed reluctant to move away, was about to say something, decided against it, smiled and we wandered off in separate directions.

When you are at the races there is quite a bit of wandering about, walking out to the saddling enclosure to see the horses in the next race, moving to the betting ring to place a bet with the bookmakers and then back again to find your mates to watch the race. So, it is perfectly normal to keep bumping into people. Well Tom and I kind of bumped into each other or rather Tom was standing at a corner table and waved me over. I smiled in acknowledgement and moved to join him

"Hi, I owe you a beer" he said

"How come" I asked

"When I ran into you earlier today and almost broke your hip"

"Hey careful smart ass enough of that ageist shit, but that's bullshit you only wanted to see me again" I laughingly responded, I didn't take my eyes from his, he laughed as well but couldn't maintain eye contact and looked down, I suspect a little blush arose on his cheeks

We quickly settled back into conversation; we were in a slightly secluded corner that allowed easier flow than near the noisy bar

After a while I thought, I would start to explore what young Tom was thinking

"So have you a girlfriend Tom?"

"Not at the moment" he replied. He told me how he had recently broken up with a girl who he had been dating for about a year and he was happy to be single as work was all consuming and frankly, she had become a bit of a drama queen.

I then asked him about his dad, he explained his Mum left his dad when he was quite young and he didn't have any relationship with him at all, in fact his dad was a bit of fuck up actually and hadn't been involved in his upbringing at all. I said his Mum must be a very strong woman, he smiled and agreed.

We were having the most relaxed and open conversation I can remember between two people who had only met a few hours previously. I shared a lot about my family and work and investments and also more broadly how I saw the world. I felt very attracted to him and having had previous relationships with younger "straight" guys, I thought I would go fishing.

"So, are you straight or bi?" I asked. That seemed to leave him speechless. I quickly followed it up with

"Guys your age seem pretty fluid with their sexuality these days" I smiled. "I'm straight" he laughed and then cocked his head, raised an eyebrow and grinned

"What about you?"

I looked him straight in the eye, "I'm Bi..... but only with younger guys" I was serious now, no smile just looked at him intently.

He was silent but held my gaze

"How young?"

"About your age, you know late twenties to mid-thirties, about the age of a son if I had one"

Tom unconsciously let his tongue slip out of his mouth and he nervously licked his lips, a slight smile but unsure. I felt as if the room had become quiet, the world had slowed down. The mood between us had changed from relaxed casual to a rising sexual tension. I had taken my gamble, I had gone there, I sensed Tom was conflicted, didn't know what to do with the invitation I had given him. He needed help, oh well in for a penny in for a pound.

I started talking easily about how 10 years ago I had started meeting younger guys and forming relationships that were essentially friends with benefits but also involved a mentoring aspect as well. I explained how my wife knew that I saw guys but felt that it was my business, so we kept it separate and didn't talk about it. I explained how I found this an important time to explore my own sexuality and to help others explore theirs. Tom listened intently.

"You're not offended are you?" I asked "No, not at all. I've never heard anyone talk so frankly about their sexuality before. How it can change, like it's not necessarily fixed. I've been having some thoughts myself lately" He looked down then up again and smiled

"I've been watching porn about younger guys with older guys lately you know Stepdad/Stepson, Uncle/nephew, that kind of thing. I'm not attracted to younger guys at all but fascinated with the older guys."

"How about me?" I asked with a grin

He nodded with an embarrassed smile

"Nothing wrong with that Tom!!, you're only human mate" as I slapped him on the shoulder

That produced a big guffaw from him, and we both started laughing like naughty schoolboys. The tension had been lifted

Time to let Tom mull things over. "I've got to get back to my mates, shall I give you, my number?" I didn't want to spook him and so let him decide if he wanted to contact me.

"Yeah sure" he smiled, he looked slightly disappointed but happy to have my number

"I'm staying in a hotel in the city tonight let me know if you would like to catch up for a drink later" I don't live in Sydney but visit regularly for business and to catch up with mates. I turned to go and then turned back, lightly touched his arm "You're a good boy Tom, I'd love to get to know you better" He dead set blushed, I think he loved that I told him he was a good boy, I smiled and walked off into the crowd.
