The Tyler I knew - Chapter 2

Andy awoke at about 6:15 in the morning with a sharp pain in his back and neck. He looked over at Tyler who was leaning against him resting his head on Andy's chest. Andy was leaning against the window of the back seat of the car. It was extremely uncomfortable like this, but Andy refused to move. He didn't want to end this moment. He never wanted it to stop. Tyler was a beautiful boy, he wanted him in his arms forever.

"I hope he doesn't wake anytime soon" Tyler thought. He was very comfortable. He felt safe and secure in Andy's arms, he didn't know why he felt that way. He had just met him the day before. But, he could remain in Andy's arms forever. Slowly the two drifted back off to sleep again.

At 7:45 a man on a 4-wheeler had ridden up. He looked inside seeing the two boy's holding each other. "I can't believe this shit!" the man thought shaking his head.

"Andrew!" The man yelled, while beating on the window. "Get your ass up boy!"

Andy and Tyler jumped. Tyler moved to the other side of the car scared.

"Oh my god!" Tyler said. "Who is that? Do you know him? What's he going to do to us?"

The guy was rather scary looking. About Six-foot tall and arms as big as Tyler's head.

"Relax!" Andy said grinning.

"What the hell do you want?" Andy said opening the back door.

"What are you up here doing, fucking your little fag friends in your uncles field?" The guy said with a nasty tone.

"Like it's any of your fucking business, Don!" Andy shot off.

"Your uncle had said something about you being gay, but I didn't believe it! I guess I have no choice now! Seen it with muh own eyes! What a faggot!" The guy said.

"How about you just get the hell out of here!" Andy said getting rather testy.

"I can't believe it. And your damn uncle defends you. I wouldn't have anything to do with my nephew, or anyone in my family for that matter if they were queers!" The guy said, starting his four-wheeler and driving off.

"What a fuck-head!" Andy said turning to Tyler.

"Who is that?" Tyler asked.

"It's my uncle's neighbor. He comes up here riding his 4- wheeler every now and then. Funny thing is.. His own son is gay, but won't tell him." Andy said laughing. "Anyway, sorry. There is no need to be worried. I assure you he doesn't know anyone you know."

"Truthfully, I don't really care who he talks with about me." Tyler said.

Andy sat back down inside the car. Tyler still looked a little shaken.

"Are you alright?" Andy asked, putting an arm around Tyler.

"Are you sure this didn't cause any problems for you?" Tyler asked, looking a little concerned.

"No! You mean, my uncle? No way! He was the first one I came out to. He's my mother's brother. He's awesome! I wouldn't be surprised if he went straight to see Don." Andy said.

"That guy that was just here, that is Don?" Tyler asked.

"Yeah, he's an idiot. His son is 14 and is gay. I can't wait until he comes out to his dad. I want to be there to see the look on his face. He thinks his son can do no wrong. His son, Seth is a lot different than he thinks." Andy said, pulling Tyler closer.

The two set there for a little while longer. It may have seemed weird to someone else. But the two didn't really care to talk. They just wanted to be together. It's funny how things like this happen. You only know someone for a short time, but you can't stand to be apart already.

"Andy, I have a question." Tyler spoke after several minuets.

"Ask away!" Andy said.

"I've never been in this situation before. And well, I guess that I.. I just.." Tyler looked up to Andy. He wanted to say something. Something that was important to him.

"Ask already! I'm not that patient ya know!" Andy said smiling.

"Well, I just don't want you to go away, that's all. I like being with you and I don't want you to stop liking me for some reason and just go away."

"I'm not going anywhere. I promise." Andy said, moving closer to Tyler and kissing him on the cheek.

Tyler smiled at this, turned his head and the two kissed. This kiss seemed much more deeper than the one the previous night.

The two separated after a moment but continued looking each other in the eyes.

"Let's go see my uncle about Don" Andy said, breaking up the moment.

Tyler's expression changed from admiration to a look of someone who was terrified.

"It's ok! Really! You will like him!" Andy added, seeing the change on Tyler's face.

"Alright! Let me help you pick everything up. Tyler said, a bit more relaxed.

Ten minuets later they were heading out of the field and down a long gravel driveway. It seemed to go for miles, but when they got to the end there was this beautiful farm house with green shutters and a green roof.

"This is your uncles house?" Tyler said in awe. It's beautiful!"

"Yeah, he got it from my grandparents." Andy said. "It's actually rather old."

They got out of the car and walked up on the porch. Andy didn't knock but walked straight in.

"Uncle Mark, you here?" Andy called out.

"I think so!" Came a voice from up the steps to their left.

"Come down here, I have someone here for you to meet!" Andy yelled back.

"Oh, let me guess, you actually found a boy who can put up with you?" His uncle called back as he came down the steps.

Tyler was shocked to hear him say this.

"Actually, yes I did. Andy answered just as his Uncle Mark reached the bottom of the steps.

"Well, hello!" Mark said, greeting Tyler.

Mark was a rather good looking man for his age. He was rather slim and stood just a bit taller than Andy.

"Hi Uncle Mark!" Andy said giving his uncle a hug.

"What's going on Andy?" Mark asked.

"Well, we were up the hill in the field and Don came up and started running his mouth about some things." Andy told his uncle.

"Why in the world would he do that? You were not up there tearing up were you?" Mark asked.

Tyler explained the whole situation to Mark in detail. He noticed while he was telling his uncle all about it Tyler seemed a little uncomfortable.

"I'll take care of him, don't you worry. You are still allowed up there any time you want. But be sure to tell me if you see him up there!" His uncle Mark said in a sharp tone.

"Will do!" Andy said. Hey, I am going to get my 4-wheeler out, you don't mind do you?"

"No, not at all! I am heading to town though. Are you two going to hang out here all day?

Andy looked at Tyler a moment then answered. "I'm not sure yet. We have not quite worked out what we are doing."

"Alright, well you know you are more than welcome to!" Mark said in a sweet tone. "However... I'm bringing a. friend back this evening. But like I said, you are more than welcome to be here. Ok?

"Sounds good!" Andy answered.

"Well, I guess I'm off then. See you later?"

"I hope!" Andy answered. "See you later!"

"Later boy's!" His uncle said as he walked out the door.

Andy turned to Tyler.

"So, do you have anything to do today?" Andy asked.

"Nope, not a thing!" Tyler said smiling. "Can I ask you something?"

"Anything!"

"Is your uncle gay?" Tyler asked cautiously.

"Yeah, he is. And I am sure by now you know that I am." Andy said laughing.

"Well, that's kinda obvious" Tyler said with a sweet smile.

"If it were not for him and my mother, I probably wouldn't be as comfortable with it as I am." Andy said.

"Seems like you have a great family then."

Andy thought a moment. "Yeah, my mom and uncle are. Those two are close themselves. My mother was the first person in the family he came out to. He actually raised my mom. When she was 12 My grandma and grandpa was killed in a car wreck just down the road from here. He was 20 then, had a full time job and all. It's not like he needed it after they died. He inherited this house and a lot of money."

"So what about your dad?" Tyler asked.

"I've never met him. I guess he took off when mom got pregnant with me." Andy said in a rather sad voice.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Tyler said.

"Don't be. I'm sure it would have come up sometime!" Andy said, forcing himself not to sound so sad. "Well, how about we call your mom or someone and see about you staying here for a while today!"

"No need. It's ok really." Andy said, this time it was him who sounded sad.

"Oh, well I was going to ask you if you wanted to stay all night here and hang out. I know it's kinda early, but I really enjoy being with you." Andy said.

"Actually, that sounds really good!" Tyler said excitedly.

"You don't need to call anyone?" Andy asked.

"No, not right now anyway." Tyler said, still sounding rather sad.

"Alright then. Well we will get something to eat then go take a ride on the 4-wheeler. Ever been on one?" Andy asked.

Tyler shook his head no. "Heard they were dangerous as hell though."

"No need to worry. I'll go slow. But by tomorrow I expect you to be able to drive one yourself! I'll teach ya!" Andy said grabbing Tyler by the arm and pulling them into the kitchen.

Tyler looked even more scared at the sound of operating something like that on his own. He'd never had a chance to do anything like this. The thought of driving something so dangerous scared him. But he had faith in Andy. He'd only known him for a little less than a day, but felt safe around him and trusted Andy to the fullest.

All that morning and part of the afternoon they rode the ATV around the yard. By two o'clock Tyler was having the time of his life. With every minuet he was growing more and more attached to Andy. He didn't want this day to end. He could stay in this moment for the rest of his life and be completely happy. He was with someone who actually cared.

"Well, you feel any more comfortable with all this yet?" Andy asked Tyler.

Tyler looked at Andy a moment trying to figure out which part of `all this' he meant.

"Umm. Do you mean us?" Tyler asked slowly.

"I um. no that isn't what I meant. But that is a good subject since you brought it up." Andy said.

Tyler felt sick. What was he going to say. How could he explain to Andy his feelings when he is not used to showing his own feelings or have someone show affection towards him. Could he just come out and tell Andy he loved him? He was sure that was how he felt. He was sure it was love. But could it be this quick?

"Well, what do you want me to say?" Tyler said turning a bit pale.

"Look, don't worry. If you don't want to talk about it that is fine. But there is something I want you to know." Andy said walking closer to Tyler.

"Ok." Tyler said.

Andy took a deep breath then started. "I don't know what happened to me yesterday sitting in McDonalds. I seen you and something came over me. Truthfully it was more than I have ever felt for anyone. I can't explain it. I just.. I guess I see something in you that maybe you don't see in yourself. Something I need to complete me in some way. Tyler I really care for you and I don't want to lose you. Yeah, I realize you just came into my life, but like you said this morning to me. I don't want you to go away."

Tyler took a moment to let it all settle then took a deep breath of his own. "I understand completely what you are saying. There is a lot for you to learn about me yet. Some you may not like, but promise me this. When you do find out about it, please don't run from me. I don't think I can handle much more. If you want out because of anything you find out just be honest, alright?"

"I really can't think of anything that would make me want to push you away." Andy said grabbing Tyler's hand. "What I am about to say next is exactly how I feel and there is not other way to explain it. Tyler, I love you. I really do. It may seem too sudden but I can't deny it and I don't want to hold it back. I feel like I have known you my whole life and I want to get to know you better."

Tyler looked deeply into Andy's eyes. He just couldn't get over how he felt at this moment. This feeling was much like Andy's. He didn't know how to explain it, but it was definitely there.

"Andy, I really do love you too!" Tyler said while starting to cry.

Andy pulled Tyler into his arms and held him tight. He knew Tyler needed this. Like he didn't have anyone else to love and care for him. Andy right then swore to himself he would do just that for as long as he could breath.

The two were standing in the driveway enclosed in each others arms when Uncle Mark drove up the driveway. They let go of one another as they noticed and waited for him to stop.

"Hiya boy's!" Mark said getting out of the truck. "What's with all the hugging? You're leaving your Uncle Mark out!" He said looking back and forth between the two.

"Sorry!" Andy said stepping up to his uncle and giving him a hug.

"Aww, no hug's from the new kid here?" His uncle said.

Tyler hesitated a moment then walked up and gave Mark a hug. Andy noticed as he backed away he was blushing a bit.

"Much better." Mark said. "Hey, I have someone for the both of you two meet.

They all turned around then and noticed a man in his mid- thirty's standing by the truck.

"This is David" Mark said with a smile. "He's going to be here for the evening."

"Hi!" Andy said. He'd noticed the man wasn't bad looking for his age. Fairly fit, brown hair and slim.

"Hello boy's." David said greeting them.

"Tyler, will you be staying the night? It's already afternoon and I think we can set up some pretty good plans for the night." Mark asked Tyler.

"I guess I can." Tyler said rather unsure.

"You guess?" Mark said. "Look, I don't mean to be too pushy. I guess I don't know the story between you two. However, from what I seen as I drove up the driveway, you two are an item?"

The two looked at each other unsure themselves what they were. Evidently it took to long so Mark spoke again.

"Well, regardless of what you two are it doesn't matter to me. Tyler I will be honest with you up front. This is my boyfriend" He said making a motion towards David. I am gay. So there really isn't any reason to be embarrassed around here or around me about what you are. Alright?"

Tyler nodded but didn't say anything. And Andy smiled at his uncle. He knew he was very lucky to have an uncle like Mark.

"David and I are going to go inside and fix some lunch for us all, sound good?" Mark asked breaking the silence.

The two boy's shook their head `yes' and Mark and David walked in the house.

"Well what do you say we go help them? Andy asked.

"Sound good!" Tyler said and the two walked inside.

Everyone spent the next several hours fixing dinner then eating it. After that they played cards, then went outside and played some horseshoes. This game Tyler had heard of but thought it to be pretty lame. Now that he'd played it, it wasn't lame at all. He had the most fun with exception of last night he had ever had in his life.

"Tyler, it's rather late! Do you need to call someone?" Mark asked Tyler.

"No, I'll be fine." Tyler said turning his attention back to the XBOX him and David were playing.

"Have you talked to anyone since you left your house yesterday?" Andy asked.

Tyler didn't say anything for a moment. It seemed he was trying to avoid such questions.

"No, I don't need to call them, it's alright. really!" Tyler said trying to sound convincing.

"Well, if you need the phone it's in the kitchen or you can use the one in my office upstairs." Mark said walking off into the kitchen to where Andy was peaking thru the doorway motioning him in.

"Yeah?" Mark said to Andy quietly as he walked into the kitchen.

"I don't get it." Andy said looking concerned. "He's been that way since last night. It's like he doesn't want to talk about his family. He has not told me anything about them and he said something earlier about being worried I would not want to talk to him after I found out something. But I don't know what."

"Oh. Well, he may open up to you. You may just have to give him time. Just be patient, with him. I have a feeling he's had it rather rough. He's extremely quite and seems to be worried about `being a burden' even though he's never actually said it."

"Yeah.." Andy said agreeing. I just don't know what to do now! He's grown attached to me and just seems he doesn't even want to go home. Although I wouldn't complain, it's just that. I don't want him to get into trouble!"

"Just continue being how you are towards him. I know you really care for him, I can see it. Just don't push him, alright?" Mark said.

"ok" Andy answered.

The two walked back into the family room and sat down on the couch watching the other two play the game. After a while they were each taking turns playing `PGR3' racing each others times. In the end it was Tyler who won. He seemed really happy about this, almost as if he'd never won anything in his life, but didn't seem to gloat about it too much.

"Tyler, Andy you two can go shower first if you like." Mark said after the third time Tyler won in a row. "Besides, I can't take getting beat that much by someone so much younger than me!"

"Sure thing!" Andy said grinning at Mark.

The two got up and walked upstairs.

"I don't have anything to change into." Tyler said as they reached the top of the steps.

"Yes you do!" Andy said walking into a room off to the left and opening a drawer. "Boxers or boxer-briefs?" Andy asked.

"Uhm, boxers will be fine I guess." Tyler said shyly.

Andy threw Tyler a pair of boxers and an extra pair of shorts.

"There ya go! If you want you can go first! I'll wait!" Andy said pointing to a door on the other side of the room.

"Alright." Tyler didn't say anything else but walked into the bathroom and closed the door.

Thirty minuets later the two were done with their showers and ready for bed.

"So. how do you want to sleep?" Tyler asked.

"Honestly, I was hoping I'd get to sleep with you. But I have to call my mom before I go to bed."

"I was hoping you would say that!" Tyler said with a bit of a grin.

The two got into bed and Andy placed the call to his mom assuring her all was ok, and he was at his Uncle Marks for the night. He told her he loved her and hung up.

"So, you are your mom are really close huh? Tyler said turning to look at Andy.

"Very! I wouldn't know what to do without her." Andy said.

"That's awesome." Tyler said looking a bit sad.

"Tell me something. Are you close to your family at all?" Andy asked.

"Not at all actually. I avoid them as much as possible. But can we not discuss this right now? Please?"

"Sure thing.. C'mere." Andy said pulling Tyler up to his body and wrapping his arms around him. "I love you Tyler. I really do love you." He finished with a hug.

"And I love you. Can we not talk but just lay here?" Tyler said resting his head on Andy's chest.

"I could lay here forever with you and not talk... Goodnight Tyler." He said kissing the top of Tylers head.

"Goodnight. and thank you. for everything." Tyler said after a moment of silence, then squeezed Andy's body.

***I do plan more chapters to this. Sorry, but it took longer to finish this one up because I have not had a lot of computer time here recently.

Thanks a lot for you emails also. This IS my first story and I am glad to hear that so many of you like it. If I didn't respond to your emails it's because the "bulk" folder ate em. If you had any important questions please feel free to send another email. I didn't have my account ready for so many! But I am ready now!

Also, some of you had noticed that one of the Charactors had the same name as me. That's simply because when I started this story I had not intentions to post it. I just used that name because it was there and I didn't take the time to think about any. SO, the story has nothing to do with me or my life in case you are planning to ask.***
