Hey everyone this is my tribute to Sailor Moon, so to speak. I love that show, and it was my inspiration for this and the next chapter. So it may be a bit cheesy, but lets face it. How can you let one person fight a war practically by himself, and not run into cheese? LOL! Enjoy, and send your comments to lefteyefan-1@tlcfanmail.com

The One Chapter 12

It was just yesterday that this awful war started. I had it all planed I would be able to stop them with a protection spell. What was I thinking? I don't have enough power to protect a whole planet. Now my era was seen. Where were our armies now? Why hadn't they stopped the Biapeds? I'm sure Nebula informed them of the coming threat.

But the advanced warning was of no use, our armies had failed. The Biapeds technology took out any defenses we may have had. It was only a matter of brute force, and well thought out strategy and the Earth was overflowed with Biapeds. I had managed to stay hidden so far. Lurking in dark corners, avoiding transports at all costs, I made my way to and fro. I knew I had to come up with a better plan than hiding. Luna was with me, but she had to stay at a distance. It's harder to be seen alone. We stayed in close enough frequency to send telepathic messages.

"Nova we can't run much longer. We don't even know where the damn Biapeds are. We have to come up with a plan. And you know it'll only be a matter of time before Kelvin sniffs you out." She stated.

"I know, I know. I suppose we have to find some way to fight them, but there are so many of them! There has to be at least a 1000 soldiers from my last scan." I was worried. How was I supposed to fight all them by myself?

"Maybe Angela can be of some help?" She asked.

"I don't know, it's worth a shot. Angela I need you!" I went to my knees in prayer to the heavens above for help.

"Nova, I have heard your pleas." Angela appeared before me.

"What should I do? I can't stop these things by myself." I stated.

"You don't have to, you have allies that you do not know of yet. But use your ring. It has powers you have yet not taped into. Hold it above your head and say these words. 'Silver ring power'." She stated.

"Sounds like a cheesy cartoon phrase, but here goes nothing! Silver ring power!" I stated the words while holding my hand with the ring up high.

Soon beams of radiant light surrounded me. I seemed to be filling up with unlimited energy. Soon my very clothes disappeared from my body, and I stood naked. I wasn't myself though; I was glowing with a yellowish color. Soon my hair reformed this time a shade of green. And my body was reforming too; a red vest and a black jacket soon covered me. I had on red dress pants as well. My skin was still glowing yellow. Kelvin would never recognize me now. I guess I needed a new name for this disguise.

"What should I call myself?" I asked.

"You are a very special warrior of the light, and I believe Prince Starlight is appropriate." She dubbed me.

"Prince? I kind of like that." I smiled.

"Good luck Nova. With your new powers you are almost unstoppable. But remember that's 'almost'." She warned me.

"Thanks for the help!" I was ready now. I had to get started, because my powers were begging to be tested.

"What about me Prince Starlight?" Luna joked.

"Here's an idea." I blew her a kiss. And with that she started her transformation.

Luna became a woman version of me. With long green hair, and the same yellow glowing skin. She wore a black vest, with a red skirt. She was a sight to behold.

"Wow, how did you do that?" She asked.

"Not sure, but I just had a feeling." I said.

"What should I go by?" She asked me.

"How about 'The Feline'?" I asked.

"That sounds appropriate but shouldn't I have cat ears or something?" She asked.

She had a good idea, so I turned her ears into cat ears. It looked kind of strange on a human body, but I'm sure her cat hearing would come in handy.

"Come on Feline. We have to get going. We have a world to save." I ordered.

"Coming Starlight." She shot back.

We had a war to face on our own, and we weren't sure how to use our newfound powers. But we weren't going to let that stop us. We were through hiding. It was time to let them know we are here. And that the Earth isn't as helpless as they thought.

After we came out of hiding we spotted a troupe of Biapeds there were probably about 30 of them. Just enough of them to cause a scene. Might even draw Kelvin's attention. Just what I wanted! I quickly started my attack. I don't know how I knew, but suddenly I had complete control of my new abilities.

"Starlight fire blast!" I commanded.

With that I took out about half of the creeps with a huge blast of fire. Looked like my very arms had become a blowtorch. Never before had any of my fire spells been this effective! After all my specialty was wind!

"Kitty cat scratches!" The Feline shot off.

Her attach wasn't as effective as mine. But it did take out about 10 of them. I was impressed all the same. A pair of claws shot out and swiped them down.

"That should be enough to cause a stir. Let those five go Feline. We have bigger fish to fry!" I told her.

"Right, Prince Starlight." She answered.

With that the 5 took a clue and ran in terror. If my plan worked, I would be able to force a fight between Kelvin and I. If I could knock him out, maybe then the Biapeds would be an easier target without their guide. I was sure that Kelvin was feeling them in on all the main places to attack.

We used our new powers to fly forward. I thought the main government buildings would be a good place to look for some action. We arrived in 'Washington D. C.' I knew it would surely be a target. I assumed taking out the main government building would aid in furthering the chaos the Biapeds were causing. I was right there were at least 100 Biapeds there. This was going to be the big time test of our powers.

"I don't know why, but I think if we put our hands together, we can do a combination attack." I stated.

"Yeah, I can sense it too. It's worth a try." She answered.

We faced each other and put our hands together. We concentrated our energy all into one. I could feel our bodies fighting to be one.

"Solar charge!" We spoke as one, we moved as one.

Soon we shot out like a rocket. We were taking out every Biaped we came in contact with. We took out most of the Biapeds in the area. I think about 20 managed to get away. That took a lot of energy.

"Man that was something else!" I screamed.

"Tell me about it! I still feel the energy pouring from me." The Feline answered.

"Maybe we do stand a chance after all." I smiled.

"No time to get cocky we have a long way to go still. Wonder what Angela was talking about Allies?" She asked me.

"I'm not sure, but maybe we'll find out soon." I answered.

Not to far from there two Biapeds watched the fight from their ship.

"Those humans might be enough to stop Xenon. I just don't know. I am supposed to be serving my master, but I know this is just not right. Destruction of the Earth will prove nothing. It will only earn us that many more enemies. After all the Earth has allies from other solar systems. We can not destroy them all. Sooner or later we will fail. It has to end here!" Dango had finally saw the error in his master's ways.

"Your right master, but what are we to do about it? We can't stop them on our own! And the Earth's allies will never make it on time." He questioned.

"But if we helped those two, maybe we could! It's our only chance. We are doomed if we do not make a stand against our own people." Dango ordered.

"Your right! I will do as you say." He answered.

Elsewhere at the mother ship:

"Those two humans are beating my warriors! What's going on here?" King Xenon was furious.

"Don't blow a gasket Xenon. They haven't faced me yet. I'm sure I can teach them some manners." Kelvin remarked.

"Fine do what you will. But make it quick. They are knocking us off like flies." He complained.

"Yes, Majesty!" Kelvin was going to face Prince Starlight. Does he stand a chance?

"Where are all the people Prince Starlight?" The Feline asked.

"I don't know. I think most of them are hiding in underground shelters. I believe that was the routine in case of invasion." I just hoped they were OK. What if we were all that was left?

We knew we couldn't just stay there, but at the same time I did want Kelvin to find us. So I made sure to leave a clue as to where we were off to. As we flew toward the next government location, I left a trail of light behind. We soon arrived at sector 1 of cluster 49. It was a small island in the Atlantic Ocean. It was also the second largest government local! I knew that the Biapeds would want to hit here as well. Sure enough there were about as many there as before.

"The solar attack?" Feline asked me.

"No, not enough time. We need to make a big splash." I stated.

"Starlight fire blast!"

"Kitty cat scratches!"

We shot out our main attacks. It was enough to take out the one's closer to the building. We had managed to stop them from gaining entrance the building. That was the main objective. Now to take out the trash!

"Solar Attack!" We commanded.

We both took off again. This time taking out the whole lot of them. I was tired of messing around. It was time to go to work.

"Now what?" She asked.

"Now we deal with him!" I stated pointing out Kelvin that had been watching us for quite sometime.

"How did you see me?" He asked.

"I felt your presence creep!" I answered.

"And who, or what are you?" He asked.

"I am the defender of the solar system. I fight for peace, love, and the return of the light! I am Prince Starlight!" I answered.

"Nice speech, but I doubt fancy words will save your ass from me!" He hollered back.

I knew I couldn't kill him, after all that was against my rules. But I had to take him down. I didn't know what effect my powers would have on him. So I thought up a slightly weaker attack for him to test it out.

"Ray of sunshine!" I ordered.

My hands turned to pure light and I zapped him full force. It knocked him at least 50 yards. I was sure he wouldn't be getting up from that.

"You'll pay for that Prince." He grimaced.

He shot his best energy blast at me. It only bounced back at him. He dodged it quickly, but he was shocked! He shot another volley at me, but the same thing happened. I knew I couldn't let this go on. After all one of those attacks might hit home soon enough. I started my fire attack.

"Starlight fire blast!" I commanded.

My fire blasted him. I was so afraid that I might have gone to far. But when the flames died down, he was still alive. He was out cold though. And his clothes were burnt badly.

"What now, we can't just leave him here. Xenon might kill him." The Feline was right to worry.

"Your right, but I know what to do." I quickly began a spell.

I quickly sent him to Aros. He would be safe there. Or at least I hoped he would be. I had little time to wonder. I did a scan and it seemed that was all the Biapeds on earth for now. I knew they were more. Where had they all gone?

"Looks like they are all gone!" I stated.

"Probably regrouping, maybe even planing on ambushing us." She stated.

"Could be we are setting ducks here. I'd guess that by my earlier gatherings there's about 600 more of those things left here. So we aren't out of the clear yet." I told her.

"Right, but what do we do?" She asked me.

"I think we should hang loose, and look for those allies Angela was talking about." I answered.

"That's a good idea. But where do we look?" She asked me.

"I guess we could just start scanning for life forms, and see what we find." I answered.

We took off circling the globe, scanning for life. Either there was none, or all the survivors were well-hidden one. If the humans were under too deep, my scanner wouldn't be able to find them. I was hoping that was the situation.

At the mother ship:

"Kelvin has failed. It's time we send all our forces against them. There has to be some end to there power. And I'm sure we will be able to find it! Even if I have to go myself." Xenon ordered.

"What about Kelvin Majesty?" Dango asked through the communicator.

"Kill him, now! Send Xsar to personally take care of him." He ordered.

"Yes master." Dango answered.

Soon we found ourselves in a beautiful Garden. It was filled with lots of flowers. I didn't know there were still flowers on Earth. It was a sight to behold. I knew this place was to be treasured. I had to stay here and protect it. It held some special meaning.

The artificial sun was setting, and the night was fast coming. I knew being in the dark would only aid the Biapeds in their schemes. Soon I saw them coming.

It was most of the Biapeds ships. They were approaching us. Was this how it would all end? Me against armada of Biaped ships? Hardly seemed fair!

But just as I thought I was toast. One of the ships started blasting at the others. It took out 2 or 3 ships. Each armed with around 50 soldiers. The others it managed to damage the laser systems. The Biapeds would have to fight outside their ships now. I thanked my lucky stars.

"To Be Continued"

Who saved Nova this time? Is that his ally? What will happen to Kelvin? And is Dango going to let Xsar try to kill him?

Find out that and more, as the final battle begins.
