The Kingswood Effect
Chapter 14
Sunday 31 October 2021
It had been a sleepy start when the coaches pulled out of Kingswood, many of the boys virtually sleepwalking on board, unused to such an early start. Danny was by far the most alert of the Year 9 football team. His daily gym routine had him used to being up at that time, but today was also his first match as captain of the football team.
The journey to the Crestwood School for Boys was expected to take about two hours and Danny had the entire time already planned out. Fifteen minutes to let the team get settled on the coach and get any initial (inevitable) squabbles get sorted, followed by a quick five-minute chat with each of the individual team members, followed by a final team pep talk before they arrived.
It was the beginning of the SCIPS football tournament and Kingswood had drawn Moderna Academy as their first opponents, a school renowned more for its academic excellence than its sporting prowess. That didn't mean Danny was going into the match over-confident. The other two schools they would face in the first round were Fothergill and Crestwood, both tough opponents, and this first match was a chance to get ahead on points to try and secure progression to the second round.
Aside his laser-like focus on the win, Danny was determined to also prove that Mr Cunningham had made the right choice in naming him team captain. He wanted to make the teacher proud, but more importantly, he wanted to make sure things went well for his teammates. Most of his chats with his teammates would likely be simple – a quick reminder of strategy, positions, the importance of teamwork, some supportive reassurance – but others were likely to be... more difficult.
Not wanting to put off the problematic conversations for too long, Danny had decided to take the team in alphabetical order, just to put Aaron Moore first. Aaron had been captain of the team the previous year, but upon being replaced, he had `pranked' Danny by tricking him into thinking he was being hazed by the older team captains. What had followed was several weeks of humiliating and degrading tasks. Aaron had been caught once Danny finally fought back and, as a result, now found himself at Danny's mercy for his punishment.
Danny had total control over the other boy. He could make him do literally anything and at first, he had revelled in getting petty and spiteful revenge, making Aaron's life miserable with a range of public humiliations. He had not done anything now for a week, yet Aaron seemed to live in constant fear of what would be next. With the anticipation almost worse than the tasks, Aaron looked a complete nervous wreck as he gingerly took his seat beside Danny on the coach.
"H... hi..." Aaron stuttered anxiously, barely daring to make eye contact.
Danny took a deep breath in, then exhaled slowly through his nose as he stared at Aaron for a few moments. "We're done!" Danny finally spoke.
"That was quick. I'll get going," Aaron said, smiling awkwardly at his attempt at levity as he stood up.
"Sit down!" Danny snapped. Aaron immediately dropped back into his seat looking sheepish.
"I mean..." Danny started, looking round to make sure nobody was within earshot. The Year 9 team were lucky enough to have a coach to themselves, which meant most of the team were at the back and the teacher was at the front, leaving the middle empty enough for private conversations. "Your punishment!" he finally finished. "I won't be making you do anything else!"
"But... but... you still had... weeks left!" Aaron stuttered.
Danny frowned. "Are you saying you WANT me to keep going?" he asked incredulously.
"No!" Aaron quickly replied, shaking his head. "It's just... I guess I'd kinda deserve it if you did carry on!" he admitted.
Danny took another deep breath and nodded. "Yeah, maybe you would," he agreed, "But... I think the fact that you believe that is part of the reason I'm ending it here!"
Aaron just stared back silently, cocking his head curiously.
"I... I got some advice from someone a lot smarter than me," Danny explained, "And since then I've been thinking about it a lot and I think... punishing you for what you did and getting revenge for what you did, they're... very different things!"
Aaron nodded in agreement.
"You're already sorry for what you did, you've made that VERY clear and... I guess justice is kind of about rehabilitation and learning, and you'll never pull a prank like this again, will you?" Danny asked.
"No, never, I swear!" Aaron insisted.
"Exactly," Danny nodded back. "So anything else I make you do is kinda... pointless. It doesn't make ME feel any better about it and it doesn't change what you've learned, it'd just be... mean for the sake of being mean."
Aaron nodded again, but this time making slight clucking noises as he desperately tried to hold back tears. "I really am sorry," he said, slowly losing the battle to hold back tears.
"C'mere," Danny said, reaching out to grab the other boy. As he pulled him into a hug, hearing Aaron sniff back his sobs, he said, "We're all good now!"
"Ugh, god, I feel stupid," Aaron said, wiping his cheeks as he pulled back, clearly embarrassed to have cried.
"Mate, you should try my dorm," Danny said with a chuckle. "Seriously, seems like every week someone's crying!"
Aaron laughed back, thinking for a moment before he said, "Mr C really DID make the right choice making you captain!"
"Well, I couldn't be worse than the last one," Danny replied with a grin, playfully punching Aaron's shoulder.
"Rude!" Aaron smirked, wiping his cheek again.
After a brief chat about the upcoming match, Aaron headed back to his seat, letting the next boy on Danny's list know it was his turn. A few moments later, Adrian flopped down into the seat beside Danny as he said, "What up, Mister Captain-man!"
"If I'd remembered you were an A, I would've gone with reverse alphabetical order!" Danny sniggered.
"You're an A!" Adrian teased back, giggling.
"Such respect," Danny said, shaking his head.
"Of course, total respect," Adrian said sarcastically as he shrugged. "How you doing, anyway? Nervous?"
Danny scoffed slightly. "This is meant to be a chat for your benefit!" he insisted.
"Pfft, you know me, I'm always good," Adrian shrugged. "Well, except for..."
"Your unrequited love for Kyle that you're too scared to mention cos you don't know if doing that might end up with you either stuck in a monogamous relationship you don't want or losing a fun friend you love to play with?" Danny interjected, grinning.
"Yeah, that," Adrian pouted, shaking his head. "And today is NOT the day for that, so I figured... this could be some YOU time!"
"You're the best," Danny said, stroking the other boy's arm. "But I'm... okay, I think," he said, sounding moderately confident.
"Yeah, til you get to the M's!" Adrian said, raising an eyebrow. As Danny looked at him curiously, he said, "Mike... who is ALL attitude this morning!"
"Oh," Danny grunted.
"And Mark!" Adrian added gingerly.
Danny sighed at the name. He had gone back and forth on the new boy so many times now. Hating him for taking Chris, being okay with him to try and be a good friend, being annoyed with him taking the goalkeeper position, being happy having such a good goalkeeper. Everything about the dorm's newest member managed to be both a positive and a negative, so Danny had been flip-flopping back and forth all year on whether he liked or hated him.
"I'll worry about them later," Danny said with a slight sigh. "That aside, I'm ready for this. WE'RE ready for this!"
"Well we DO have a good captain," Adrian said. As Danny stared at him, waiting for the punchline, he shrugged and said, "I'm being nice, don't get used to it, it won't happen again!"
"Thanks," Danny sniggered.
"Ya know... I could do... other nice things as we have a few minutes to kill!" Adrian said, reaching out to stroke Danny's leg as he leaned out into the aisle to make sure nobody was approaching.
Danny smiled but grabbed the hand and pulled it away. "Not before the match!" he said, shaking his head. "It's how the pros do it!"
"Oh, so we'll do coke and abuse hookers afterwards then? Ya know, if we're being like the pros!" Adrian joked.
Danny laughed aloud at the comment, shaking his head.
"Hey, well how about we do stuff after then. Maybe you need some extra encouragement," Adrian said with a wry grin. "How about if we win... you fuck me!"
Danny suddenly spluttered, coughing to catch his breath. After taking a moment to compose himself, he asked, "S... seriously? We've never... I mean... you've never... erm..."
Adrian shrugged as he smiled and said, "No, we haven't and I haven't, but... I wanna! Well... if you earn it!" He smiled as he waggled his eyebrows.
"Well that's just great!" Danny huffed, getting a confused look in return. With a smirk, he added, "Now I gotta play the whole match with a boner. Thanks for that!"
"Sorry, not sorry," Adrian sniggered, leaning to the side to cuddle up against Danny for the remainder of their time together.
Once he was finished with Adrian, Danny continued working through the others – Anthony, Jason, Jeffrey, Jonathan – until he came to Josh, who greeted him almost as eagerly as Adrian had. Danny was glad to get Josh alone, as the previous boys had all mentioned the same concern and it was something Josh might be able to help with.
"Any idea what's up with Mikey?" Danny asked curiously.
"Oh," Josh said softly, shrinking inwards a little.
"So that's a yes?" Danny asked with a gentle sigh. "What's up? What's going on?"
"Nothing," Josh said, feeling bad. The previous night, he and Mike had fought, which was nothing unusual. Fighting, both verbally and physically, had become the bedrock of their dysfunctional friendship. The previous night had taken a somewhat unexpected turn, resulting on both of them cumming in an unplanned bout of frotting. Since then, Josh had completely withdrawn and the two hadn't spoken. It seemed fairly obvious Mike's aggressive attitude that morning was the result of it.
"Okay, well that's clearly a lie," Danny insisted. "You know I can tell when you're lying!"
"Ugh, you sound like Rob," Josh grumbled. "Look, I... don't wanna talk about it. It's... a private thing, okay!"
Danny shook his head a little as he started, "But if it's making Mikey act like..."
"I said it's private!" Josh snapped. "Fuck. You're as obsessed with HIM as he is with YOU. Just fucking get a room already!"
"Woah, easy," Danny said, recoiling a little as he raised his hands defensively. "Okay, okay, forget it. I won't..." he paused to sigh again, "I won't mention it. Let's just... keep focused on the game then. Remember what we practiced. Keep it chill for a while, don't let `em see just how fast you are until you're SURE you've got an opening, then you kick their arses, okay!"
Josh pouted for a moment, almost wishing Danny would have probed further about Mike, but nodded and smiled. "Yeah, I'm your secret weapon. I got it!" he said proudly.
"Yeah you are," Danny grinned back at him.
Next up was Kayden, followed by Kyle who did much the same as Adrian in spending his time focused on Danny, though his chat didn't end up with an offer of sex for winning. Once Kyle left, Danny prepared himself, taking a few deep breaths before Mark arrived.
"Hey," Mark said awkwardly, standing in the aisle.
Danny looked from Mark to the seat and back, waited a moment then said, "You can sit!"
"Okay," Mark said, taking a seat.
"You ready for this?" Danny asked, determined to keep things focused on the match, rather than Chris.
Mark nodded and smiled. "Totally. Actually being on a team I like with teammates who don't hate me makes a nice change. And not having a captain who..." he paused, shaken by the almost-mention of his former captain.
Danny hummed thoughtfully for a moment as he nodded. "Yeah, this is what I was worried about. I know we won't be facing King Edwards, but their team WILL be there for their own matches. You know he'll be there, don't you?"
The `he' in question was Gregory. Former captain of the King Edwards team, but also Mark's ex-boyfriend, in what had not been a particularly healthy relationship. A few weeks earlier, during the SCIPS opening weekend, Gregory had gone out of his way to try and intimidate Mark, but had ultimately been stopped thanks to some intervention from Danny and the older team captains.
"Yeah, I know," Mark sighed. "I'll... be okay!"
"Will you, though?" Danny asked, cocking his head.
"Don't worry," Mark said, frowning a little at the unconcealed doubt, "I won't let it affect my performance." He reassured Danny.
Danny nodded as he said softly, "Good to know, but I... did kinda mean... personally!"
"Oh!" Mark said, a little surprised that the other boy even cared about anything beyond the match.
Danny sighed, moving onto the subject he had wanted to avoid. "It's just... I know you and Chris are..." he started, pausing, already regretting bringing Chris up, "Well, you're close. And I know you've been getting to know Nicky too, but... I know neither of them are here and I didn't want ya to feel... I dunno, isolated or alone or anything."
Mark stared back for a few moments, frowning thoughtfully as his head cocked again.
"What?" Danny asked curiously.
Mark shook his head, as if holding something back, though his resolve quickly broke as he said, "Well I... got the impression you kinda hate me, so... this seems... weird!"
The words hung heavily between them. Danny knew he hadn't been excessively skilled at hiding his feelings, but he didn't think his disdain had been quite obvious enough to be observed as actual hate.
"No, I..." Danny started, but paused and sighed. He sat up to glance to the back of the coach, knowing he still had other conversations to have, then looked back to Mark. "I don't hate you," he said, reassuring himself as much as Mark before he went on, "But... I think maybe... we DO need to talk, but..."
"Not when we're in the middle of prepping for a match, right?" Mark suggested, getting a nod from Danny.
"Look, let's just win this match and then we can catch up later and... ya know... talk," Danny offered.
"Okay," Mark said, standing from his seat.
"Oh," Danny suddenly said, reaching out to grab Mark's arm, though he quickly let go, feeling a little awkward about the contact. "If you have any trouble with... you-know-who, or just... need to talk about it, regardless of anything else we've got going on, you CAN talk to me!" He got a smile and nod in return before adding, "And I don't just mean as your captain!"
Mark smiled and gave another nod, then asked, "Thanks, so who's next on your list?"
Danny let out a heavier sigh than he intended as he said, "Mike. Send him down!"
"Eesh, okay," Mark said, cringing a little.
Danny flopped back into his seat, already psyching himself up for an argument.
"I DON'T CARE!" Mike suddenly called out, presumably in response to the request.
Danny stood and looked back. He couldn't see Mike but could definitely see a few others around him reacting.
"YEAH, WELL IF HE WANTS TO TALK TO ME, HE CAN COME AND TALK TO ME!" Mike called out. "WE'RE HIS TEAM, NOT HIS SLAVES!"
Danny had a feeling that it was only the presence of a teacher on the coach that stopped Mike's language from being a lot more colourful. "Mike, could you come and speak with me please," Danny called out over the murmur of chatter from the rest of the team, keeping his tone polite and calm.
"YOUR LEGS STOPPED WORKING OR SOMETHING, ALMIGHTY CAPTAIN?" Mike called out, getting a chorus of oophs and oohs from the others.
Danny sighed and walked down the aisle, then stopped beside the double seat Mike was occupying alone. "I'd like to speak to you in private. Please can you come with me," he requested politely.
"And I'd like you to kiss my butt. Please can you pucker up!" Mike said back, giving a derisive smile.
"Mike, this is the last time I'll ASK. Please come with me so we can talk!" Danny said firmly, feeling all eyes on him.
"If that's the last time, then at least I should only need to tell you once TO BITE ME!" Mike snapped, folding his arms as he sneered at the other boy.
There was an awkward hush as the rest of the team stared, waiting to see what Danny would do. Taking a breath, Danny looked round at the others for a moment. "Kayden, you'll be starting out in left-back. Adrian, you're moving to centre-back with Jeff."
"What about me?" Mike asked, sitting up as his position was mentioned.
"You're on the bench!" Danny said, staring at him for a moment, a chorus of gentle gasps coming from the rest of the team. Looking at another of the boys, he said, "Oli, you're next up so let's go talk!"
"You can't do that!" Mike snapped as Danny turned to walk away.
"Mate, he can totally do that!" Aaron said, flinching as Mike glared at him.
Mike turned back to Danny and started, "But I'm supposed to..."
"You're on the bench... for now," Danny said firmly. "But I hear another word out of you before we get there and I might have to consider something more permanent. Got it?" He had managed to keep his cool, but he could feel it slipping as Mike glared back at him. For a brief moment, he saw Mike's anger give way to... something else... but it soon returned as he sat back down in his seat, arms folded, staring out the window.
As Danny turned to return to his seat, Oliver Green tagging along behind, he spotted Mr Hargreaves looking his way. The man gave him a quick nod of approval, having been watching the entire ordeal. Danny smiled meekly back at the man before resuming his team conversations.
With half the dorm away, and the other three members busy with their usual Sunday morning activities, Nicky had found himself at somewhat of a loose end. Even his second group of friends, the Year 8 boys of dorm 1.05 were no help. Half of them were away at Crestwood for the football, while the remaining half was over at the Sports Complex for rugby practice. Sometimes it sucked being one of the few boys who didn't play either of the two popular sports.
Sitting alone in the dorm, he looked round and smiled. Strange as it was to be alone, it did give him a rare opportunity. For the past several months, he had been working on processing the loss of his twin that had happened when he was younger, and the unplanned solitude meant he now had a chance to continue his work.
"Hey Matt," he said with a longing smile, not looking anywhere in particular. "Just thought I'd say hi as it's been a while. Not really much to tell you to be honest. Things are still improving every day. I'm starting to be friends with Chris again, which is awesome. I'm finally getting to know Mark too. He seems really nice. Things are still... off with Mikey, which sucks, but... well I guess he's Danny's problem today. Other than that it's all good."
Nicky paused, letting out a sigh as he caught the faint reflection of himself in the window. He stared for a moment then smiled before he said, "I miss you bro. So much. Well... thanks for listening, I guess. I'm not gonna mope around here all day with you, so... see ya later!"
He headed out of the dorm, pleased with himself. Not only had he spoken to his lost twin without bursting into tears, he had also taken a slightly depressing moment and managed to avoid it spiralling into a full-on day of moping. Wandering out of the Home Building, he felt the slight chill in the air (from the cold, not Halloween!) and zipped his hoodie up, briefly considering going back inside to get a coat. He pushed on, slipping his hands into his pockets as he ambled aimlessly towards the Sports Complex, AirPods in, listening to a new album Chris had recommended and occasionally taking random pictures of things he thought were photo-worthy.
Over on the rugby pitches, the various teams were mostly running drills, the Year 12 and 13 teams currently engaged in a friendly match. Rob spotted him walking along and waved happily. Nicky waved in return, smiled and continued on, heading past the basketball courts where a couple of older boys were playing a game of 2 on 2. As he reached the end of the area, he considered continuing on past the treeline. He had been taken to the mysterious old building deep in the woods several weeks earlier and he was a little curious to see it again, but he was smart enough to know that wandering off alone into a forest was probably not the smartest idea. `Lost in the woods is SO year eight!' he thought to himself, sniggering as he felt a little guilty for joking about the accident, even to himself.
Instead, he followed the treeline round and eventually came to a stop at a lone tree partway between the school's obstacle course and the woods. He sat down, figuring it was a peaceful spot to enjoy the music and look through his camera roll. He had always been the dorm's unofficial photographer, though his time spent with Dr Arkwright had helped him discover that was potentially a defence mechanism as part of his body image issues - if he was taking the pictures, he never had to be in them! He could hide behind the lens.
He had been sat for several minutes, a few recent pictures picked out to add to the dorm's digital frame when he felt something grab his shoulder. He let out a scream and flailed in the opposite direction, his phone flying one way, AirPods going another as he looked round in shock.
"Wow, erm... sorry about that!" the young man smiled as Nicky gasped to catch his breath. "Here," he said, handing Nicky his phone and the AirPod that had landed near him.
"Th... thanks," Nicky stuttered nervously. In an instant, his shyness had engulfed him as he looked at the unknown boy. Of course he recognised the face. After two years in the school, the only faces he didn't recognise were new Year 7s, and even they became familiar after a few weeks. But knowing a face and knowing the person are very different things, especially to someone so shy. His unexpected visitor was an older boy, a Year 10 if Nicky recalled correctly. `Alan, I think,' Nicky thought to himself.
"I didn't mean to scare you," the older boy said, chuckling at the scare even though it was uninetntional. "I'm Albert," he introduced himself, "Or Albie," he added with a shrug.
Yeah, he's probably right. It's Albie, not Alan!' Nicky thought to himself, staring back silently. Oh, you're staring... say something!' he thought frantically but remained silent.
"I... erm... wasn't sure if you were here looking for... ya know... fun!" Albie said a little awkwardly.
Nicky frowned but still didn't speak.
"It's just... this area's kinda... known for that and here you are, but you kinda... didn't look like that's WHY you were here but I thought I'd ask just in case cos you're, like, kinda hot," Albie said, rambling a little.
"Kinda?" Nicky finally spoke.
"Sorry, I'm... really not used to this!" Albie blushed. "But... yeah, I mean... no... not kinda hot, more like... just... hot!" He let out a groan, his face screwing up in obvious frustration at himself. Letting out a dejected sigh, he said, "Oh my god, I'm just gonna go over here and die now if that's okay!" He turned away from Nicky.
"Don't!" Nicky yelped, feeling awkward at the suddenness of the noise. Blushing too, he said, "I... I didn't know that... this area was... known for... erm... whadda they call it... cruising?"
"Oh, sorry to bother you then," Albie said awkwardly, blushing at his mistake.
Nicky managed a meek smile as he said, "I never said I wasn't interested! You're... KINDA hot!"
Albie chuckled at the choice of words.
With his golden-brown hair blowing messily in the gentle wind, soft brown eyes slightly watery from the cool breeze blowing in them, cute snub nose a little reddened and full lips curled into a playful smile, Albie was quite a charming sight. Nicky stood up and found himself towering over the older boy. "Oh, sorry about that," he said as Albie looked up at him. "I'm Nicky!"
"Did you just apologise for being tall?" Albie asked with a smirk.
Nicky frowned thoughtfully for a moment and said, "Yeah, I guess I kinda did, which is... kinda weird, so let's change the subject really subtly... so... cruising, huh?"
"Smooth!" Albie chuckled with a wry grin and gentle nod. "And yeah, erm..." he paused, shaking his head. "Long story short... broke up with someone a short while ago, not really getting much action and... felt the urge! Thought I'd take a long shot on coming here and..."
"And here I am!" Nicky sniggered. "So definitely JUST a bit of fun!"
"Yeah, that okay?" Albie asked nervously.
"Very, very okay!" Nicky insisted. "I think so, anyway. I've never really... done hook-ups before... on account of being entirely unable to speak to strangers!"
Albie shrugged a little and said, "I'm a stranger and we're talking!"
Nicky thought for a moment. An unexpectedly proud moment, but he didn't want to dwell on his own success too much as he joked, "Nah, we're old mates by now. You remember that time you scared the crap outta me?"
Albie chuckled and nodded. "Cute," he said happily. He nodded towards the Sports Complex and said, "Wanna find somewhere in there? I'm okay with outdoor stuff, but not when I'm likely to literally freeze my balls off!"
"Yeah, good idea!" Nicky said as they started walking. They chatted casually as they strolled along to the building – not all about sex, but it certainly came up a lot. By the time they got inside, they already had a fairly good idea of what they wanted to do, though Nicky did feel the need to warn the older boy. "I... might be too big for you!" he warned, shyly.
"Well I do like a challenge!" Albie sniggered as they wandered into one of the storerooms. "Besides, we can work up to... that!"
"Okay," Nicky said, feeling so unusually at ease that he almost found it unsettling.
Albie pulled off his hoodie and t-shirt in a single motion, tossing them both aside. As he saw Nicky looking at him, he shrugged and said, "I'm no Adonis, but it'll do, right?"
"Definitely!" Nicky nodded eagerly. Albie was right. He certainly didn't have the muscles an unusual number of boys at the school seemed to be sporting, but he also lacked the girth of the boys at chunkier end of the scale, he just looked... average! Sexy, for sure, but nothing remarkable. He reached for his own top but hesitated.
"It's okay if you don't want to," Albie said, sensing the obvious trepidation.
"I don't want," Nicky said, then pulled his top off and threw it aside with Albie's, "But I kinda have to. Long story. Not relevant!"
"Wow!" Albie said, eyes widening. "You're even hotter with your clothes off!"
Nicky blushed, fighting a momentary urge to flee at the mention of his body, but smiled and said, "Thanks."
Albie moved forward, raising a hand towards Nicky's chest, pausing a moment to look the younger boy in the eye. Getting a slight nod, he placed his hand on Nicky's chest and let out a slight shudder. "You're a diver, right?"
"Yeah," Nicky said, frowning a little.
"Oh," Albie said, realising the way it may have sounded. "I've just seen you at the pool, but not seen you at swimming club, so I just kinda figured. I've never... erm... seen you up close like this before though. I might have to switch clubs!"
Nicky chuckled, raising his hand to stroke Albie's chest in return.
"Don't worry, joking, I meant what I said about this being, erm... just..." Albie said a little sadly.
"It's okay, I got it," Nicky nodded. "But if this is just for now, let's make the most of it!" He raised his hands to grab Albie's cheeks and pulled him into a kiss.
The two stood happily making out for several minutes, their hands slowly exploring each other's bodies.
"You're really good at that!" Nicky said with a grin when they finally parted.
"Wanna see what else I'm good at?" Albie asked playfully.
"Whadda you think?" Nicky asked, pressing his crotch against the older boy.
"Jesus!" Albie yelped, taking a step back as he looked down. "What you got in there? A spare arm?"
Nicky snorted with laughter, which helped as he thought about his oversized appendage. Having it talked about would have sent him running at one time. While he once again felt the urge to flee, the fact he felt a stronger urge to stay and have fun helped to quell it. "Well why don't you take a look and find out!" he invited.
"Yes please!" Albie grinned as he reached down to pull open Nicky's belt before slowly unbuttoning his jeans. He slid the zip down, deliberately letting the back of his hand rub against the bulge.
Nicky let out a low growl at the teasing, lifting his arms to drape them around Albie's neck.
"Fuck!" Albie whispered as he looked at the boxers straining against the huge cock within. "When I grow up, I want one like this!" he giggled.
"I'm actually younger than..." Nicky started, but paused as he saw Albie grinning. "You knew that, you're just joking," he said, blushing.
"You're too cute," Albie said, leaning in for another brief kiss. "But now... I'll be down here if you need me!" he said as he pulled away squatting down. He took hold of Nicky's underwear and yanked it down.
"It's not even full-size yet," Nicky said with a grin as he looked down at his large tool flopping free.
"Ah, you're killing me here!" Albie said, shaking his head. "Or at least, you probably could with this thing!" he added with a snigger as he wrapped his hand around the fantastic phallus. "Don't be offended if I don't deepthroat. I'm used to... smaller!"
"Mate, you're sucking my dick, I'm NOT gonna be complaining about it!" Nicky said with a stern nod.
"Fair point," Albie said before running his tongue all the way from base to tip, feeling the thick cock grow even thicker in his grasp. He let out a nervous giggle before taking as much as the dick into his mouth as he could manage.
"Okay, you're good at that too!" Nicky said after several moments, happy to feel a mouth around his dick again. It had been too long (pun unintended).
"Thffff," Albie hummed, then pulled away giggling. "That was supposed to be thanks!" he said, shaking his head. "Erm... I hope you can take this as a compliment, but..."
"You wanna stick to just sucking it, not... the other thing?" Nicky guessed.
Albie pursed his lips and nodded. "Yeah, sorry," he said awkwardly.
Nicky shrugged. "You don't have to apologise for NOT letting me fuck you!" he said, "Besides, I return to my earlier point... you're sucking my dick, no complaints on that, well... except for the fact I'm not sucking yours yet!"
"Of course, how rude of me," Albie sniggered, reaching down to push his trousers and underwear down. "Same time?" he asked, eyes twinkling excitedly.
"Fuck yeah," Nicky smirked as he dropped to the ground. "Erm... top and bottom or side by side?"
"Side by side works for me!" Albie said cheerfully as he lay on his side.
Nicky lay the opposite way round, positioning himself at eye level with Albie's dick. Much like the rest of him, it was fairly average – uncut, moderately thick and around five inches – though by comparison to the monster that had just found its way back into Albie's mouth it actually seemed small.
The two boys lay happily sucking away on each other's cocks. Nicky's hand found its way round to Albie's rear and felt a surprisingly thick but pert buttock – seemingly the only above-average physical attribute. It reminded Nicky of Danny's butt, which made him smirk slightly as he continued sucking.
While both had started eagerly, Nicky's pace gradually slowed and he felt Albie doing the same. Not from a lack of enthusiasm, it was clear from the rigidity between their lips that both boys were loving every moment, but more from a lack of urgency. It was a lazy Sunday morning, the school was quiet and there wasn't much else to do, so they simply lay together in the mutual blow job both enjoying the dual sensations of sucking and getting sucked.
It was only when they heard a lot of movement out in the corridor from the rugby teams heading to shower that they realised time was getting away from them. Nicky gave an inquisitive grunt, he got one in return that seemed to signal an understanding and both boys sped up.
Albie was first to shoot, letting out a long, drawn-out moan as his dick throbbed in Nicky's mouth, filling it with his spunk. Nicky let it pool for a moment then gulped it all down in one go before playfully swirling his tongue around the tip to get the last few drops. He finished just in time for his own orgasm to begin. Pulling off of Albie's dick he groaned aloud, "Ah god yes!"
Albie swallowed a couple of times, the load as oversized as the cock and balls producing it, though he showed no signs of struggling. Continuing his teasing, Nicky eventually yanked himself away.
"Ah, it's sensitive," Nicky laughed as his cock pulled free of Albie's mouth.
"That was fun," Albie said, shuffling along so the two were face-to-face, albeit opposite ways up.
They leaned in for a brief kiss.
"So how was your first hook-up?" Albie asked, casually reaching down to pull his trousers and underwear up from his ankles. As he saw Nicky hesitate, he added, "You can be honest!"
Nicky let out a gentle sigh, then shook his head as he realised how he was probably making Albie feel. "Oh sorry, it was fun. That was... definitely a good blow job," he explained, smiling sincerely.
"But..." Albie prompted.
Nicky sighed again. "I dunno, it's just..." he paused, trying to think.
"You wanna just chill and maybe cuddle and stuff after, but... with someone you care about?" Albie suggested.
Nicky frowned for a moment, wondering if he was that easy to read, then caught on and said, "Oh, you too huh?"
Albie nodded. Giving a brief smile, he leaned in again to kiss Nicky one more time before they both climbed to their feet and got dressed again. After a quick, and surprisingly not-awkward goodbye with Albie, Nicky headed along to the door to the locker room and stood waiting. A couple of minutes later, he smiled as Rob emerged.
"What you doing here?" Rob asked curiously.
"Was just in the area and thought I'd head over to lunch with you," he smiled.
"Oh, I thought you might be here to talk about Josh and Mikey!" Rob said, frowning a little.
"Mike!" Nicky corrected him with a smirk. "And... what about them?" he asked as they started walking.
"I dunno. Something went off. Josh doesn't wanna talk about it. I thought maybe Mikey... ugh, Mike... might have said something to you!" Rob shrugged.
Nicky let out a low moan. "We're not exactly... talking much these days!" he admitted.
"Yeah, well... start talking!" Rob insisted. "That's how our dorm works. Everybody has somebody they look after! Mikey's yours!"
"Mike!" Nicky said, grinning again. As he got an eye roll from Rob, he said, "We DID break up, ya know!"
"Pfft," Rob scoffed. "That'll pass. You two are besties!"
"Don't say besties," Nicky said, screwing his face up in mock disgust.
Rob sniggered and shook his head. "Whatever. He's your guy. So sort him out, cos your guy is starting to affect MY guy!"
"I'll try," Nicky said non-committally. It felt almost like a sign to be told to sort things with Mike. When he had finished with Albie, when he had lay there wishing for someone he cared about to just cuddle and hang out with... it was Mike he had been thinking of.
"We're doomed!" Kayden pouted. "We're not even gonna make it to the second round!"
The rest of the Year 9 football team murmured their agreement. "Come on, it's not that bad!" Danny insisted, trying to keep their spirits up.
"Mate, we're 3-1 down to the WORST team in the tournament!" Aaron said, shaking his head.
"We can still pull it back!" Danny insisted, but the team was already dispersing around the locker room. Leaning on Adrian, he moaned, "We're doomed!"
"Come on, it's not that bad," Adrian said, in his best imitation of Danny.
"I will HURT you!" Danny growled.
"Ooh, sounds like fun," Adrian sniggered. "Come on though, you DO know we can pull this back right!"
"How?" Danny asked, shaking his head. "They've got a really strong offence. Mark's doing amazing, but even he's gonna let in a few now and then!"
"Yeah, but if we stop them even being able to take the shots, then we don't need to worry, so we need a strong defence but... currently our best defender is warming the bench!" Adrian explained. He immediately cowered as Danny scowled at him for referring to Mike. "Glare all you like, you know I'm not wrong!" he said unashamedly.
"Fuck!" Danny grunted. "Fine! I'll... think about it!" As Adrian walked away, Danny looked round. He hadn't seen Mike follow them in and there was still no sign of him so he headed back out towards the pitch.
"Danny, do we need to talk?" Mr Cunningham asked as they passed in the hallway.
"No sir, I've got it in hand. We'll pull this back!" Danny replied, sounding more optimistic than he felt. As he got back outside, he saw Mike sat on the bench. He walked along silently and stood behind him.
"Losing three goals to one, the team retreated inside the locker room, preparing themselves for their epic defeat. The monster in charge keeping the brave hero from saving them all," Mikey mumbled as he stared across the pitch.
"Monster? That's rude!" Danny exclaimed.
"Oh!" Mike yelped in surprise as he looked round. "I was..." he started, stopping, unsure what say.
"You were narrating, which you do when you're stressed!" Danny said bluntly. He sighed as Mike pouted a little. "Can I sit?" he asked, gesturing to the bench.
Mike sighed and nodded.
Danny sat down and stared for a moment before he asked, "What the fuck?"
Mike just stared back.
"I mean... seriously, Mikey. What the actual fuck. I get that you've been... pissed or whatever and needed space, which I've been trying to give you, but... mate, come on!" Danny said, shaking his head.
Mike's face screwed up angrily as he started, "Yeah, you would..."
"Don't!" Danny snapped the moment he heard the aggressive tone.
"You can't just..."
"Stop!" Danny snapped.
"I haven't..."
"STOP IT!" Danny yelled.
Mike stopped, eyes wide as he stared at Danny. "I'm sorry," he eventually squeaked, jaw trembling. "I just... I get angry. Actually I'm kinda always angry, but... I also get confused sometimes. I don't know what's..." he paused, flinching a little, struggling to keep his focus on Danny. He sighed and nodded slightly as he said, "I just get confused, okay. And... and I don't..." That was as much as he could say before his head just drooped, sighing miserably.
"It's okay," Danny said, slipping an arm around his shoulders.
"I'm sorry I was a dick to you on the bus!" Mike whispered as he leaned against Danny. "I just... I can't explain it, but I'm sorry!"
"I know," Danny replied. "And I'm sorry I benched you!" As he pulled back, letting his hand gently hold Mike's hand, he cocked his head slightly and said, "Actually, no... I'm sorry I HAD to bench you."
Mike chuckled slightly as he raised his other hand to wipe his face.
"Whadda you say we get you back on the pitch?" Danny suggested.
Mike smiled and nodded eagerly.
"Great. You get out there and you do NOT let them near our goal!" Danny instructed.
Mike nodded and said, "I'll just think of the goal as myself and the ball as the ability to talk about my feelings! They'll never get near each other!"
"You're such a little freak!" Danny sniggered. He leaned in for a quick hug and whispered, "You're gonna be okay, bud!"
"Ya know, I could get used to this!" Rob said as he sat splayed out on the sofa.
"I know right," Nicky agreed. "Personal space. It's... unusual!"
"I don't like it," Chris pouted.
"Big shock!" Rob sniggered. "If you had your way, we'd just have one giant communal bed for the whole Year group and just kinda pile on top of each other." As Nicky laughed and Chris continued to pout, Rob frowned thoughtfully and said, "Actually doesn't sound like the worst idea..."
"Ugh no," Nicky said, shaking his head. "When I sleep, I need space!"
"Apparently so does Chris, now!" Rob said, nodding over towards the bunk beds that had been pushed together until a week earlier.
"I guess," Chris shrugged, sighing wistfully at the separate bunks.
Rob looked at Nicky and nodded towards Chris, but got the same gesture back in return.
"Hey, he's not MY guy. I got Mike, remember!" Nicky said defensively.
"What?" Chris frowned curiously.
Nicky huffed and shook his head. "Rob says we've all got a `guy' we look out for. He's got Josh and apparently, I've got Mikey!"
"You said Mikey!" Chris pointed out, then looked to Rob and said, "Well who've I got then?"
"Duh, Danny, ya fuckwit!" Nicky said bluntly.
"I don't think he'd agree with that!" Chris pouted.
"Chris, come here," Rob said, holding his arms out.
Smiling, Chris jumped off of his sofa and headed for Rob always eager to have a hug. As he got close, Rob swiped his hand and slapped Chris round the back of the head. "Ah, ya dick, what was that for?" Chris complained, rubbing his head.
"To knock some sense into you, twat-face!" Rob said, scowling disapprovingly. As Chris sat on the floor rubbing his head, though it had not really been a hard hit, Rob sighed and said, "Look, I recently missed out on something I REALLY wanted because I didn't talk to the people I care about. Things worked out okay in the end, but... they might not have. Anyway..." he paused to gesture to the bunks, "Whatever that's about, just fucking talk to him already."
"Yeah!" Nicky said, sniggering as he nodded in agreement.
"And you can shut up until you've sorted things with Mikey... Mike... fuck it, whatever he's called!" Rob said, almost yelling.
"Wow, back-up Danny's kinda mean, isn't he!" Nicky pouted, smirking at Chris.
"I know, right!" Chris said, scampering across the floor to lean against Nicky's legs. "Real Danny never yells at us!" he pouted jokingly.
Rob tried to look annoyed but ended up laughing instead.
The Year 9 football team were exuberant as they piled back into the locker room at the end of the match. Mr Hargreaves couldn't help laughing as he said, "I've never seen a team so happy to end on a tie!"
"We didn't lose!" Danny declared happily. "I know we didn't win, but... we've got two more matches in round one. We learn from this and we've got it in the bag!"
"Yes captain!" Adrian yelped, saluting as the boys around him laughed. He moved closer to Danny and whispered, "No win means no fuck, but... maybe the offer stands until the next match!"
"Okay, now we're DEFINITELY winning the next one!" Danny said, giving the other boy a playful peck on the cheek.
The boys excitedly showered, with Mr Hargreaves continuing to chaperone. The behaviour was so boisterous that we was on the brink of crossing the line from friendly warning to `actual stern teacher voice'. Fortunately the boys managed to behave just enough to avoid it before finishing getting dressed to head out and watch the Year 11 match that had just started. Danny had stood chatting with Mr Hargreaves as the others headed off, even receiving a little praise for how he had handled the Mike situation. Finally finished, he headed out to catch up to the rest of the team but saw Mark waiting for him.
"You said we could talk later," Mark said as Danny approached. "And... well... it's later!" he said with a shrug.
"Okay," Danny said, nodding gently as they headed out and away from the match. He had meant maybe once they were back at Kingswood, or maybe the next day... or maybe next week! But he figured it was best to just get it out of the way and didn't resist. They wandered aimlessly through the Crestwood grounds, both silent for several minutes.
Mark eventually broke the silence as he joked, "I thought talking normally involved more... ya know... actual words!"
Danny chuckled awkwardly and admitted, "I don't really know what to say!"
"Okay, then... maybe I should talk," Mark shrugged. As Danny nodded slightly, he thought for a few moments before he continued. "I'd heard of you before I even met you!" he stated. "Like, even at King Edwards, we heard about the boy who tried to kill himself and the boy who talked him off the ledge. I swear sometimes the SCIPS program is more about sharing gossip more than anything else!"
Danny chuckled, unsure what else to make of the comment.
"And I'd also heard about the guy who got paralysed but fought his way back from it. It just sounded insane, but when I found out that those two guys – the one who saved his friend and the one who went through something so hard – were the same person, it was like... shit, what IS this guy?" Mark continued. "Then I actually met you and even though you were just on the side-lines during those football matches when I first saw you, I saw the way your team acted around you. It was like... I dunno, like you were some kind of celebrity to them or something."
"Wow, that's..." Danny started, but shrugged, unsure what to say so he just shook his head.
Mark gave a meek smile. "Moving to Kingswood was really tough for me, for... a lot of reasons that I won't go into, but when I found out I was going into a dorm with YOU, I won't lie, I was nervous, but... also kinda excited too. You just sounded like... the most amazing guy ever but then I came in and you were all... having your issues, but thankfully... Chris was there!"
"Yeah, Chris is great," Danny said wistfully.
"Yeah, he is," Mark agreed, letting it sink in for a moment. "But you..." he shook his head.
"It's okay, be honest," Danny encouraged him.
"Do you... have any idea what it's like, to be around someone that EVERYBODY loves, that EVERYBODY says is the nicest, kindest, friendliest guy in the entire freaking school and how it feels to be the ONLY person he DOESN'T like?" Mark asked, sounding a little agitated.
Danny felt awful at the thought he had made Mark feel that way.
"I thought maybe the reputation was wrong, that... that now I was close, the people around you would be all, like, ugh god no, he's a twat' but they weren't. Chris practically worships the fucking ground you walk on. I swear we can't even have a conversation without him mentioning you!" Mark said, clearly getting frustrated now. "But you still just... hated me and... and... avoided me, which was pretty freaking horrible. And for a while I thought maybe this is the real Danny and nobody else can see it'. But then... last I had the stuff with Gregory and you... you didn't even hesitate. The MOMENT you knew I was struggling, it was like, BAM, Danny swoops in and solves it all without a second thought. And then again on the coach this morning when you were like... nice, with the whole `I'm not just here for you as your captain' thing and... I just... I don't know what to think most of the time!"
"Yeah, I guess I... kinda get how that'd be confusing," Danny admitted. He sighed as he thought for a moment. He glanced round at Mark a couple of times as they continued casually strolling, then closed his eyes as he psyched himself up to admit, "I'm jealous!"
Mark just looked at him like he was speaking a completely different language.
"Of you... of... you and Chris!" Danny elaborated. "Like... you came in being all... good looking and grown up and you were like, yeah, I'm goalkeeping superstar, let's ditch the cripple!"
"I never meant to..." Mark started.
"I know, I know," Danny nodded. "I know. But things were... things were messy in the dorm and usually I would've jumped in to fix it but I didn't because... I was tired of fixing things, of always needing to be the sensible one and having to sort everyone else's problems. But then Chris jumped in and I was so proud of him, but suddenly... there YOU were! You were with him ALL of the time and I got CRAZY jealous and... yeah, kinda hated you for it even though you hadn't done anything wrong."
"Well... at least I wasn't imagining you hating me. Yay for that I guess," Mark said a little flatly.
Danny sniggered, but the smile quickly dropped. "Sorry," he apologised. "Someone kinda... helped me figure out what I was doing and I thought the best way to make it up to both of you was to just stop fighting it and just let it... go wherever it was going!" Danny explained. As he got a curious frown from Mark, he added, "If dating you was what would make Chris happy then... I wanted him to be happy, WITH you, so I..."
"WOAH woah woah, hold up!" Mark said, shaking his head as he ground to a halt, grabbing Danny's arm. "You think me and Chris are... dating?"
"No!" Danny scoffed, "Not yet, I just didn't want to be in the way when you do!"
"Oh. Oh!" Mark exclaimed. "You think... I want Chris?"
"You mean... you don't?" Danny asked, genuinely surprised.
"Look, Chris is great but I haven't even THOUGHT about that sort of thing. Stupid as it sounds I'm still kinda caught up on the Gregory stuff!" Mark declared.
"But he's a cunt!" Danny declared in shock. "Sorry," he quickly apologised.
"He is," Mark shrugged. "And he hates me, which makes still having some kinda feelings for him... complicated!"
"Oh my god!" Danny declared, staring wide-eyed at Mark.
"What?" Mark asked nervously.
Danny reached out to hold Mark by his arms as he grinned and said, "You're still into a twat who abused you and who hates you, but you can't move on. You're so... broken!"
"Wow, thanks for that," Mark pouted, offended at having his dysfunction celebrated.
Danny grinned as he said, "Sorry, not sorry. But what I meant was... you fit in! With the rest of the dorm. We're all totally fucked up and... this is your thing! You're as fucked up as we are. You really ARE one of us!"
Mark burst into laughter as he said, "Wow, you are one twisted little weirdo!"
"Thanks," Danny giggled, then a frown spread across his face. "Wait, so if you're not into Chris, then I don't need to be giving you and him space!? So I've just been..."
"Yeah," Mark nodded. "You've basically just been avoiding your best friend!" he stated, sighing at the thought of Chris.
"Wow, okay, so... I'm officially the world's biggest cunt!" Danny said, feeling nauseous.
"Second biggest!" Mark corrected him. As Danny looked at him curiously, he added, "Gregory's still number one!"
"Fair point," Danny agreed, then sighed again as he said, "I've really fucked things up, haven't I!"
"Yeah, but... it's fixable," Mark assured him.
"Good," Danny nodded. "But for now... I'm sorry. Whadda you say?" he asked, holding out his hand. "Can we maybe... try to be friends?"
"We can!" Mark nodded, "But fuck that," he added, swatting the hand away. He leaned in and grabbed Danny in a hug.
"Okay, you've spent waaaay too much time with Chris!" Danny chuckled.
"Well that went..." David started, looking at the small burn on James' hand before he smirked and finished, "... about as well as I expected!"
"Yeah," James nodded with a slight shrug at his injury, "But it was... more fun that I thought it'd be!"
David gasped as he covered his mouth dramatically. "James... had fun! And without a textbook in sight!" he teased.
"So funny," James said dryly as they reached the main atrium. "Besides, I count cookbooks as text books!"
David frowned thoughtfully for a moment, the nodded as he said, "Fair point, never thought of that. Either way, I'm glad you enjoyed it."
The two boys had just left Cooking Club, an extracurricular David had joined at the start of term. After months of not talking, the two boys had reconciled the previous day. Having James join him at cooking club had been David's idea, not just to give them something to do together, but also to get James away from studying. It appeared he had been pushing himself exceptionally hard since skipping ahead to Year 11 and, despite James' insistence to the contrary, David had said he needed a break so he could relax and unwind.
"You think you might wanna make this one of your regular clubs?" David asked hopefully.
James frowned thoughtfully for a moment then nodded. "Yeah. Yeah, I think I do!"
"Awesome!" David said excitedly, grabbing his friend in a brief hug. As he pulled away slightly, he hesitated, their faces close.
"I... really like this colour on you," James said, reaching up to stroke his fingers through David's pink-dyed hair.
David let out an almost inaudible whimper before suddenly pulling away. "Thanks," he said awkwardly. He forced a slight chuckle as he said, "I was worried what people would think, but... well, it's Kingswood, isn't it! It's not like... out there!"
James visibly deflated as he backed away slightly, nodding. "Yeah, I guess so," he mumbled.
David sighed and shook his head as he grabbed James' arm, pulling him aside to a bench under the main staircase. "Okay, we can't do that!" he insisted.
"Do... what?" James asked curiously.
"Like... NOT say stuff!" David said pointedly. "You already cut our time together short by being a smart-arse and skipping two years of it, and then we missed out on..." he paused, counting briefly in his head, "... four months cos of just... NOT talking to each other so... if you think it, say it!"
James shrugged and said, "Okay, but you usually nag me when I do that with other people!"
"Yeah, cos normally you just use it as an excuse to be a shady bitch to everyone," David insisted. "But with me... just be honest!"
"Okay," James said with a shrug. "Honest! I can do that!" He paused then let out a low moan and pouted, "I kinda don't want to do that!"
"Please," David requested softly.
"Okay, fine," James huffed. "Ever since you told me yesterday about... wanting to be with me, I've been thinking about it... a lot... and I think I want that too. Okay. Happy now?"
"Oh," David said, flinching slightly.
"That didn't sound like a good `oh'!" James sighed.
"Yeah," David nodded, suddenly regretting his own insistence on honesty. "Look, I... DID want to be with you, that was part of my plan, but like I said... that plan doesn't work."
"So suddenly you don't want to be with me?" James pouted.
"No, I mean... yes... erm... ugh..." David rambled. "When we were gonna be going through all of this together, it was completely a yes, but now... if we did do that, then... it'll end up with you leaving after year thirteen and it sucked enough just being friends and having you leave the dorm. If you were... more, and left the school... I don't think I could take it! I guess I... don't wanna start something that I know has an expiration date!"
James stared for a moment then nodded gently. "That... actually makes sense!" he admitted reluctantly. "Would that also mean... you're not interested in... other stuff?"
"Oh, I like lots of other stuff!" David nodded, smiling confidently.
"Erm, no, I... kinda meant..." James said, trailing off awkwardly.
David snorted with laughter and said, "I knew what you meant!"
"Arsehole," James pouted, then looked at the other boy hopefully.
"I haven't... really done much stuff yet," David admitted. As he saw James deflating once again, he quickly added, "But I think I'd like to, especially with someone I... trust!" As they both sat looking a little shy, David eventually added, "I'm surprised you WANT to do stuff! That's... a change!"
James shrugged. "Well I've been dealing with the stuff from when I was a kid and trying to move on from it. Plus you said I need to relax and have more fun and... as much as I may have said otherwise once, that stuff IS fun!"
"Hey James," David said, biting his lip playfully. As the other boy looked at him curiously, he asked, "Wanna go have fun?"
James didn't hesitate for a single moment, he jumped to his feet and grabbed David's hand. Moments later, the two were secreted away in a secluded room, clothes quickly tossed aside.
"Wow!" James exclaimed as he looked at David. "You've... changed!"
David looked down at himself for a moment and sighed. "Yeah, Danny keeps saying that too," he started, "We've been working out together most mornings. I've lost some weight but," he looked down at himself, "I still look the same from here!"
"Well from here you look... erm..." James started, but was unsure of the best word.
David grinned as he looked at James, who was standing naked, his cock jutting out ahead of him. "I think I can tell how I look based on that!" he said, pointing to James' erection. "And hey, you got hair!"
James blushed, not used to being looked at, and certainly not used to being seen aroused. His pubes had begun to grow in over the summer and while they were still minimal, they were easily noticeable. "Yeah, you too!" James said, moving closer.
Being naturally darker haired, the few stray hairs that had sprouted at the base of David's cock were more easily visible than James' blonde pubes. David let out a slight grunt and said, "Yeah, I don't like them!"
James shrugged and said, "Each to their own, I suppose." He took another step closer and asked, "What d'you wanna do then?"
"I don't know," David answered honestly. "I hadn't... really planned anything yet!"
"How's this?" James asked, reaching out to grasp the small erection.
"Good," David gasped gently. "Can I...?" he asked cautiously. As he got a nod in response, he reached out and grabbed James' dick in return.
Without speaking, both boys started stroking, gradually leaning more against each other as they got more into it.
"This is weird," James said as he leaned against his friend.
"Should we stop?" David asked nervously.
"Oh, no, not this!" James said, nodding to their mutual masturbation. "This!" he said, looking David in the eye. Before the summer, James had stood several centimetres taller than David, but thanks to his latest growth spurt they were now just shy of the same height.
"Oh, yeah, cool, isn't it!" David grinned.
"I swear, if you end up taller than me, I'm gonna be pissed!" James sniggered.
"Well I'm virtually the same height now and I'm still only in year nine," David said with a shrug, "And you're a year eleven!"
"Yeah, but that's cos..." James started, but then stopped himself. "Oh haha, ya nearly got me! Now shut up and wank!"
"You know the best way to shut me up!" David said, gulping slightly.
James stared for a moment before he leaned in. As their lips met, they let out a synchronised sigh, their hands still working away on each other's cocks. They continued, their hands speeding up as the ferocity of the kiss increased.
"Cumming!" David gasped, parting only long enough to say it.
"Me too!" James replied before returning to the kiss again.
They both shot, neither yet producing a massive load, though the throbbing pleasure that accompanied the shared orgasm certainly felt sizeable. With wet hands and sensitive dicks, the stroking came to a halt, the kissing following a few moments later.
They both stood catching their breath, smiles slowly spreading over their faces.
"Have I told you how glad I am we're friends again?" James asked with a grin.
"No, but... I think I can guess!" David giggled in return, raising a cum-covered hand.
The coach was well on its way back to Kingswood now, having set off after dinner. The atmosphere in the Year 9 team was mixed. The high from pulling their loss back to a tie had diminished a little as most of the other teams had won their matches, leaving the boys feeling a little like the school's weakest link. That's not to say their mood was low, they had still had an enjoyable day and evening with the other students.
While Danny had meticulously planned his time on the journey to Crestwood that morning, the journey home was much less structured, just wanting to allow the team to let off some steam after their day. He had joined the rest of the team at the back of the coach, the boys somehow thinking the few metres of space between them and Mr Hargreaves meant they could get away with anything.
Noticing Mike had sat alone a few rows ahead of the rest, Danny knew things between him and the rest of the team were a little bit frosty. Standing up, he called out, "Okay, everyone shut up for a sec!" As everyone looked his way, he looked back to Mike and said, "Come join the others, I wanna talk to all of you!" It wasn't a particularly important conversation, it just made a handy excuse to force Mike back amongst the group.
Mike moved up and stood in the aisle, not yet committing himself to a seat.
"I know some of you are a bit down cos we didn't get the win," Danny started, "But this was still only match 1 and a tie DOES get us some points. We just have to come back swinging, that's all. We've got a whole month before match two, which means we can get in a LOT of practice, so we're gonna be quicker, stronger and better when we take on Fothergill! Right?"
There was a gentle murmur of agreement from the team.
"Ugh, you guys can do better than that," Danny insisted. "We're gonna win, right?"
There was a loud cheer from the group, followed by some quick applause.
"Erm, can I... say something," Mike said nervously as the noise died down.
Danny nodded, gesturing for silence as a couple of the boys looked ready to interject.
"I just... wanted to, like... publicly say sorry to..." Mike started, looking briefly to his team captain, "... to Danny for being a dick to him this morning!"
"It's all good," Danny reassured him, feeling a swell of pride. To put himself out there like that was no small feat for anyone, but for Mike it was huge.
"And to the rest of you too," Mike added. "If I hadn't... messed up the starting line-up, things might have gone... differently!"
There were a few murmurs of agreement and Danny briefly worried the team might be about to turn on him.
"Pfft!" Aaron scoffed loudly. "You ain't THAT important, mate!" he said.
Danny nearly jumped in, but he got a quick look from the former captain that made him hold back.
"If you were in from the start, it probably woulda gone even worse," Aaron said with a grin that made it clear he was just teasing as the others, including Mike, chuckled. "But whatever, it's no big deal. You were a dick. You apologised. We move on. No hard feelings!"
As Mike smiled, Danny looked at Aaron. He knew the comment was as much about him as it was about Mike, so he called out, "Well said. It's behind us!" As slightly awkward silence lingered for a moment, Danny smiled and said, "But there IS one more important thing we haven't discussed!" As the team looked at him curiously, he said, "Did you see the ARSE on the captain of the Eversham team? Oh my god, fucking amazing!"
The comment triggered several excitable conversations as the boys burst into chatter around the other players.
Satisfied his work was done, Danny headed back towards his seat but stopped as he passed Josh and Mark. "You guys good?" he asked with a smile.
Josh nodded, but it didn't look convincing, but Mark's smile was both broad and sincere.
"Any trouble with you-know-who?" Danny asked curiously.
Mark shook his head. "Nah, whatever you did before seems to have... made a difference!" he explained.
"Excellent," Danny said happily. He held out his hand to offer a casual fist bump.
Mark stared at it for a moment, then bumped it and smiled again as Danny continued on to his seat.
A few moments later, Mike appeared in the aisle and asked quietly, "Can I... sit with you?"
"Sure," Danny smiled. As he sat watching Mike stare back at him, he sighed and said, "You want the window seat, don't you!" Rolling his eyes as Mike nodded, he shuffled over to the aisle seat as Mike scrambled over him. "You're so fucking awkward," he laughed.
The two sat in silence for a few minutes before Mike shuffled sideways a little. A few moments more and he shuffled again. It continued until he was leaning on Danny.
"You could just ask, ya know!" Danny sniggered as he raised his arm to put it around Mike.
Mike just hummed contentedly as he nuzzled against Danny.
Danny was sure Mike had fallen asleep as he was so quiet, but eventually he heard the other boy say softly, "I can't always think straight!" As Danny remained silent, Mike added, "I get angry over things that... aren't really things to get angry over and it's really confusing cos I know I shouldn't but I can't help it!"
"That sounds really hard," Danny said sympathetically.
"It is," Mike sighed. "Some things I do... they... they help me think straight."
"What sort of things?" Danny asked curiously.
Mike let out a gentle sigh. As much as he wanted to be honest with Danny, he knew how much his violent side had affected (and possibly ended) his relationship with Nicky. Scared it would mess things up with Danny too, he just said, "Just... things. I guess I kinda used to keep my head straight when I was with Chris and Nicky, cos... sex stuff helps clear my head too. But there are other things that help," he continued, still not wanting to elaborate, "But I think I've been doing too much of... that other stuff and it's not good for me!"
Danny frowned, a little lost. He knew Mike wasn't telling everything, but he also knew that probing deeper usually resulted in him getting defensive or angry, so he just nodded silently. When it became apparent Mike wasn't saying anything more, he smiled a little and asked, "So you're saying you've been a moody bitch for months cos you're not getting laid?"
Mike giggled playfully.
The sound made Danny's day. He hadn't heard Mike laugh - not a genuine, sincere laugh like that – for so long now. "Well if it helps you to... keep your head straight, you know I'm always happy to..."
"Do things that AREN'T straight!" Mike joked.
Danny snorted with laughter as he nodded. He squeezed Mike tightly and kissed his forehead then whispered, "I've missed you!"
"I've missed me too," Mike sighed.
Silence returned, though it wasn't uncomfortable, it was just the two boys enjoying being together again. Gradually, hands began to move, each heading for the other's crotch. Danny felt Mike's cock through his sweatpants and underwear, feeling it rapidly firm beneath his fingers. Mike did the same, feeling Danny stiffen from his touch.
A quick look down the aisle to ensure nobody was heading their way and Danny reached down to pull out his cock. Mike immediately copied. In the grand scheme of things, getting caught wanking on the bus was far from the most embarrassing thing in Danny's life, but was still keen to avoid it, so both boys made quick work of jerking each other off, pumping away excitedly and eagerly.
They squeezed against each other, both enjoying the close contact they hadn't felt for so long as their orgasms built rapidly. Panting away excitedly, they both spurted their hefty loads onto the back of the seats ahead of them, the rest dribbling to the ground before the put their dicks away and gave a final check for anyone watching.
After ordering Mike to clean up the mess, giving a very brief lecture about respecting public property and the reputation of Kingswood, the two settled in once again for the rest of the journey, sleepy from both the day's exertion and the shared release.
"You know you need to make up with Nicky and Chris, don't you?" Danny asked, feeling that post-orgasmic Mike was the most likely to be receptive to such a suggestion.
"Yeah," Mike sighed, but said no more about it.
It was virtually time for lights-out on the first floor by the time the coaches returned. Quickly ushered to their respective floors, the returning teams made their way to their dorms under the watchful eye of their Floor Masters.
As Mark, Josh, Mike and Danny entered the dorm, the rest of the boys sat up in their beds and looked their way.
"Well, how'd it go?" Rob asked eagerly.
"A tie," Danny said, trying to make it sound positive.
"Hmm, not the worst start!" Rob nodded, clearly thinking about his own team's first match in the SCIPS rugby tournament coming up the following weekend.
The boys quickly settled back into the dorm, throwing down their bags before getting ready for bed, catching up on the day's events.
"Can you believe Danny benched me for half the game?" Mike called out at one point. "What a bitch!"
As Danny looked his way, he saw Mike was grinning, clearly just teasing. "Yeah, well I only did it cos you TOTALLY deserved it, ya big drama queen!"
The rest of the dorm looked nervous at the comment, Mike's volatile mood often set off by much lesser comments.
Mike just shrugged and said, "Fair point!" As he chuckled, it seemed to give the rest of the boys permission to laugh as well. As he climbed up onto his bunk, he spotted Nicky looking his way... and trying not to be seen doing it. "Hey, you had a good day?" he asked with a smile.
Nicky looked amazed at the question as well as the tone, staring blankly for a moment before he said, "Actually... yeah, I did. Seems like... maybe you did too?"
Mike smiled and nodded, then frowned a little as he said, "Tough... but good!"
The two exchanged a brief smile.
Having been busy chatting with most of the rest of the dorm, Danny was only just ready for bed when Mr Trent came in to check on them. He quickly jumped into bed just before the teacher had to tell him to do so, then flashed a cheeky smile.
"Well done on the match today, lads. Sounds like you played well," Mr Trent said proudly. "But let's keep the chatter down, okay!"
"Yes sir!" the boys chorused. "Night sir!" they added, slightly mockingly, sniggering quietly as the man rolled his eyes, flicked off the light and closed the door.
As quiet chatter filled the room, Danny rolled over and let his hand casually rest on Chris. He was laying there for a moment before he suddenly sat up and looked at Chris in the low light, then around at the bunk. The gap between their beds was gone! "When did... how did... why did..." he stuttered in surprise.
"I hope it's okay," Chris whispered. "I know you were happy when I moved them but today I decided to..."
"I wasn't!" Danny interjected. "I..." he paused and sighed, glancing round at Mark as he thought back over their conversation earlier. It was too late and the day had been too long to get into it now, so he just said, "I never wanted them apart and I never will. Can we just..."
He didn't actually need to finish the sentence for Chris to understand. The two boys just wrapped themselves around each other, holding on tightly as Danny drifted off to sleep, followed a few minutes later by Chris.
