The Inheritance Clause - 34
Adam stopped himself halfway to the cabin door. A calmness came over him. Just like when his father was pointing a gun at him, an inner confidence kicked in. He knew Dawson was in trouble. Nothing else mattered. Everything began to move in slow motion for him.
Adam turned toward the fireplace. He reached for the fireplace poker. He gripped it tightly in his hand. A look of determination came over his face. He turned back toward the door. The beam from the flashlight he held in his other hand moved across the cabin. He pointed it outside. He walked toward the open door. The rain was coming down heavily. The wind was gusting outside. Adam reached the threshold. He could only see the light reflecting off the raindrops. He could feel the cold rain hitting his face. He braced himself.
Suddenly a shadowy figure appeared on the porch. They were carrying something. Adam raised the poker. All he could hear was the wind and rain. He couldn't make out who it was.
"Adam!" he heard his name being called.
The shadowy figure said his name. The flashlight landed on what they were carrying. It looked like a wet rug.
"Babe, it's me," the shadowy figure said.
Adam could see now. It was Dawson. He was holding Colby, who was wet and shivering. Adam lowered the poker.
"What the?!?!" Adam exclaimed.
Adam moved to the side and Dawson carried Colby in. They were both soaking wet. Adam closed the door.
"Get some towels..." Dawson said, "and some blankets..."
Adam leaned the poker against the cabin door and dropped the still beaming flashlight onto the couch. Dawson went toward the fireplace. Adam darted into the bedroom. He snatched the two blankets out of the blanket warmers. He raced back to the living room.
"Here," Adam said, "Lay him on this."
Dawson moved back. Adam opened one of the warm blankets and folded it in half. He laid it on the floor right in front of the fireplace. Dawson slowly lowered Colby onto the blanket. Adam handed the other warm blanket to Dawson. He covered Colby with it. Colby was still shivering, but he had a look of relief on his face.
Adam went back into the bedroom and grabbed some towels and a bathrobe. He came back into the living room.
"Take those wet things off," Adam said.
Adam put the towels down on the dossiers which were laid out on the coffee table. He held the robe out for Dawson. Dawson struggled to get his wet shirt off. He finally pulled it over his head and it landed with a wet thud on the carpet. Dawson bent down to unlace his hiking boots.
Adam saw that Colby was still shivering. He draped the robe over Dawson's back. He knelt down on the floor and covered Colby with his body to give him more warmth. His face was right next to Colby's. Adam began rubbing the blanket where his body wasn't covering Colby.
"It's ok, Colby," Adam said softly to him, "You're safe now."
Adam looked up at Dawson as he pulled his cargo shorts and underwear off in one tug. They landed with a wet thud on top of the shirt. Dawson put his arms through the sleeves of the robe and sinched it. He grabbed a towel and began drying his hair.
"Are you alright?" Adam asked.
"Yeah," Dawson said, "I'm fine."
Dawson draped the towel around his neck and knelt down next to Adam and Colby.
"This guy was freezing, though," Dawson said as he took the edge of his towel and swiped it across the top of Colby's head.
Dawson got down on the floor so his face was near Adam's and Colby's. He began to pet Colby's head.
"It's ok, Colby," Dawson said softly, "It's ok..."
"He's stopped shivering," Adam said as he continued to rub Colby's body through the blanket.
Dawson sighed with relief. He kept softly petting Colby's head. Now that Colby seemed to be out of danger, Adam turned toward Dawson.
"Babe, why didn't you listen to me?" Adam said with frustration, "You could have been killed."
Dawson smiled at Adam.
"I did listen to you, babe," Dawson said calmly, "I was about to call Krantz. Then I heard the noise again and I just knew it was Colby in distress."
Adam was listening, but he still wasn't happy that Dawson took such a risk.
"I yelled out, 'It's Colby'," Dawson added, "You didn't hear me?"
"No," Adam said in frustration, "Of course, I didn't hear you..."
Adam started to get riled up.
"Why would I come at you with a fireplace poker if I heard you?" Adam started to raise his voice, "I thought my father was back and he was..."
"Hey... hey... babe..." Dawson interrupted him with a soft whisper.
Dawson cupped his cheek and calmed Adam down.
"I'm sorry," Dawson said softly, "I should have waited until I knew you heard me."
Dawson looked into Adam's eyes.
"The important thing is we're ok," Dawson said, "I'm sorry," Dawson repeated again.
Adam's face softened. Dawson leaned in and kissed Adam's forehead.
"And thank you for coming to my rescue," Dawson said as he rubbed Adam's cheek.
"I'll always come to your rescue," Adam said softly, "Just stop needing to be rescued, ok? I can't take much more..."
"Ok," Dawson replied.
Colby started to stir. Adam moved off of him. It looked like Colby was going to get up, so Dawson pulled back the blanket covering him. Colby got up. Suddenly, Colby shook his body and the remaining rain water that was on him splashed onto Adam, onto Dawson, into the fireplace, and onto the papers on the coffee table.
"Whoa!" Adam yelped.
"Ugh!" Dawson cried.
Then the boys started laughing. Dawson reached down and patted Colby's head.
"I guess you're gonna be fine," Dawson said, still laughing.
Dawson grabbed one of the towels and dried the remaining wetness off of Colby's body.
"Hey, wait..." Adam said as he was pulling up the now damp blanket from the floor, "What is Colby doing here anyway? Wasn't he supposed to go to his new family?"
"Oh yeah..." Dawson responded.
The realization didn't hit him until Adam said it.
"What kind of trouble have you been causing, Colby?" Dawson said to him as he bent down to talk to him.
"I'm gonna call Tia," Adam said.
He took out his phone and turned it on. He tried to dial, but there was no signal.
"I can't get a call out," Adam explained, "Must be the storm. Try your communicator. See if you can contact Krantz."
Dawson went to his wet cargo shorts on the floor and removed the communicator from the pocket. He pressed the button for Krantz.
"Krantz, it's Dawson," Dawson spoke into the communicator.
There was a short pause as the boys waited for Krantz to respond.
"What's wrong, sir?" Krantz asked with concern in his voice.
"Colby showed up at the cabin. He's fine and we are fine. Can you get a message to Margherita that we'll bring him back tomorrow when we go to see Elvis?" Dawson said.
"Colby? That's odd... I'll get the message to her." Krantz said.
"Thank you, Krantz," Dawson said.
"You're welcome, sir," Krantz replied.
Dawson put the communicator down onto the mantle above the fireplace.
"Looks like you're staying with us tonight," Adam said to Colby.
Colby was standing near the fire with his tail wagging slightly. Colby appeared to be better now.
"Should we see if he wants something to eat?" Adam asked Dawson.
"Sure," Dawson said, "I'll see if he wants some cheese."
Dawson went into the kitchen. Colby stayed near the fire and watched Adam spread the blankets out on the backs of the couches to let them dry. Adam saw the flashlight was still on, so he turned it off and put it on the table next to the candles. He went into the bedroom and Colby followed him. Adam put two more blankets into the blanket warmers. He came back out to the living room and Colby continued to follow him. Adam picked up Dawson's wet clothes. He spread them out on the brick in front of the fireplace to dry. He retrieved the poker and returned it to the fireplace. Adam turned and began to pet Colby who was standing near the fireplace again.
Dawson came out of the kitchen and Colby's tail started wagging. He met Dawson as he neared the fireplace. Dawson was holding a bowl of water in one hand. He put his other hand down and opened it. There were some pieces of cheese in it. Colby snapped them up quickly and ate them.
"I gave him some cheese," Dawson said, "We can give him some banana in the morning."
Dawson put the bowl down near the fireplace. Colby began lapping it up.
"Ok," Adam said as he looked at Colby.
He put his hands on his hips.
"So..." Adam asked, "I'm thinking we should call it a night and turn in. We can finish up the real estate holdings tomorrow night."
"Sounds good," Dawson said, "We can burn the packets tomorrow."
"Mmmm," Adam hummed in agreement, "Do we need to make a bed or something for Colby?" Adam asked.
"I'm not sure," Dawson said, "Maybe he'll be comfortable on the rug in front of the fire?"
Adam went toward the wood bin. He grabbed a couple logs and went toward the fireplace. Dawson helped him by removing the screen. Colby finished drinking and he began to shadow Dawson, standing next to him, as if he were helping, too. Adam added the logs to the fire and Dawson put the screen back in place. Dawson reached down and pet Colby's head. Colby licked his lips.
"C'mon, boy," Dawson said.
Adam blew out the candles in the living room. Dawson picked up the kerosene lamp and stood with it between the living room and the bedroom. Colby stood next to him. Adam went into the kitchen and shut down the kerosene lamp in there. He came out and the three of them went into the bedroom.
Without any prompting, Colby went toward the fireplace. He circled around once, looked at the boys and then lay down on the rug between the couch at the end of the bed and the fireplace. Adam raised his eyebrows. Dawson grinned.
"I guess that's where he's sleeping," Dawson said softly.
Adam sighed with relief that he and Dawson could finally relax. Adam began disrobing. Dawson found a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. The boys changed into their bed clothes. Dawson climbed into bed first. He held the covers open for Adam. When Adam finally crawled in, Dawson sighed. The boys were on their sides. Adam slid his back into Dawson. Dawson wrapped him up as he covered Adam with the bed sheets.
"Hold me all night," Adam whispered.
"Always," Dawson said as he nuzzled his face into Adam's neck.
"Mmmm," Adam exhaled with satisfaction.
The boys fell asleep as the rain and wind continued. Colby stayed in his spot, right in front of the fireplace.
Sometime after 3:00am, the rain tapered off. The relative quiet woke Adam up. He slipped out of Dawson's arms. He went into the living room to retrieve more logs. He added them to the fireplace from the living room side. As he was stoking the coals, Colby came around the corner. He walked slowly up to Adam with his tail gently wagging.
"Hey, boy," Adam whispered as he gently caressed him behind his ears.
Colby nuzzled up to Adam.
"You feeling better?" Adam whispered as Colby panted at him.
Adam could see the logs had caught, so he replaced the fireplace screen.
"C'mon," Adam whispered as he ran his fingers across Colby's head.
Colby followed Adam as he went back into the bedroom. Adam stood next to the bed and watched Colby as he went back to his spot on the rug. Adam looked at Dawson, who was still asleep. He slid quietly into bed and lay his head down. He moved his body back into Dawson. As soon as he made contact with Dawson's hands, Dawson took hold of him and pulled him closer. Dawson remained asleep as he held Adam against him. Adam sighed softly and closed his eyes. He quickly fell back to sleep.
"Hmmm," Dawson contentedly sighed as he woke up.
He felt Adam nuzzling his neck. He was trying to figure out what time it was. As he woke a little bit more he got confused. He was holding Adam in front of him, but he felt him nuzzling the back of his neck. Dawson turned his head and before he could open his eyes, he realized it was Colby. He was standing on Dawson's side of the bed looking down at Dawson, panting softly.
"Hey, boy," Dawson whispered, "Go back to sleep."
Colby jumped down from the bed and ran into the living room. Colby whimpered once, very softly. Dawson took a deep breath and sighed because he realized that Colby needed to go out. He very gingerly slipped his arm out from under Adam and quietly got off the bed. He grabbed his bathrobe and a pair of socks.
Dawson came out to the living room and saw Colby patiently waiting at the door. Dawson came up to Colby. He opened the door and Colby scampered outside. It was still dark out, but Dawson could see the sun was beginning to come up. Dawson watched Colby from the doorway. He trotted around a bit and found a place to tinkle. Then Colby wandered around a bit more, sniffing the ground.
Dawson left the door open and went toward the fireplace. He put the robe on and went to the wood box. As quietly as he could, he added a log to the fire. He grabbed his slightly damp hiking boots from the night before. He carried them and the socks as he went outside. He pulled the door but didn't close it all the way. Dawson yawned and sinched his robe. He stayed on the porch and sat on one of the chairs.
Dawson surveyed the area. It was still cloudy, but the wind and rain had stopped. There was a light fog hovering over the lake. The ground was still wet, with puddles scattered around. He watched Colby for a bit. Then he put on his socks and slipped his feet into his hiking boots. He didn't lace them up, but loosely tied them in case he needed to go after Colby. But Colby stayed close by, investigating his surroundings, going from puddle to puddle to see what he could sniff out.
Dawson wasn't sure how long he and Colby had been outside when he sensed the door opening. Adam emerged barefoot and wearing his bathrobe. He was carrying two coffee mugs.
"Morning, babe," Adam said softly.
"Ohhhh," Dawson sighed in relief when he saw the coffee, "You're a lifesaver."
"I know," Adam replied and stopped to look at Dawson.
Dawson immediately picked up on the double meaning.
"I said I was sorry," Dawson said.
Adam smiled at him.
"Here," Adam said.
He held out one of the mugs to Dawson.
"Stop apologizing," Adam said as he sat in the other chair, "I'm not upset. I'm just glad you're alright."
Dawson was reveling in the taste of his first sip of coffee. Adam reached over and patted Dawson's thigh as he watched Colby surveying Rosemary's Point.
"It's kinda chilly," Adam said as he pulled his robe closer against his body.
Dawson thought it wasn't that bad.
"How long have you been up?" Dawson asked.
"Since you and your new boyfriend, here, came out," Adam said with a light tone, "I saw you put another log on the fire, then I got up and put the coffee on."
"Mmm," Dawson said as he finished a sip of coffee, "Thank you, babe."
The boys leaned toward each other and kissed. They sat back in their chairs and they both nestled their coffee mugs into their chests and watched Colby.
"He's a great dog," Dawson finally said, "I don't know why he keeps getting sent back."
"Maybe he gets too riled up with kids," Adam mused as he lifted his mug to take a sip and then paused, "Or maybe he keeps running away..."
"Maybe..." Dawson acknowledged.
The boys sat quietly as they watched Colby enjoying himself, roaming all over the lake front.
"We can't take him over to the Santos farm on the ATVs," Adam said eventually, "We'll need to walk. It's about a 40-minute hike from here."
"We could take him on the boat..." Dawson said, "but I think I'd rather walk. We can skip our laps this morning if we walk.
"Mmmm," Adam agreed, "You just don't want to go in the freezing cold water."
Dawson smiled as he sipped his coffee. The boys sat on the porch as the sun tried to break through the clouds. Shortly after they had finished their coffees, Dawson got up.
"I'll get more coffee," Dawson said as he held out his hand to take Adam's mug, "Are there muffins left?"
"I think so," Adam said, "Can you get one for me?"
"Sure," Dawson said as he took Adam's mug.
Adam looked Dawson up and down, wearing only hiking boots and a bathrobe. His hair was all askew from the way it dried after getting rain soaked the night before.
"I'm loving the look, babe," Adam said with a grin, "Very sexy..."
Dawson spread his arms and looked down at himself.
"It's hard work to look like this," Dawson said.
"Mmm... hmm..." Adam replied.
Dawson smiled as he went inside. He came out a couple minutes later. He had a couple muffins and a banana wedged against his torso as he carried two coffee mugs. Adam got up and took the two mugs from him. Dawson grabbed the muffins and banana before they fell. He sat down and put them on his lap. Adam put the mugs down on the porch.
"Colby," Dawson called out, "C'mere boy."
Colby was over by the tire swing. His head popped up. He looked at Dawson. Dawson waved the banana at him. Colby immediately began trotting over to the boys.
Adam went into the cabin and came out with the side table from the living room. He placed the table between the chairs. He then picked up the two mugs and put them on the table.
Dawson peeled the banana and broke off a small piece. When Colby arrived, Dawson held out the piece of banana toward him. Colby took it and began eating it.
Adam took his muffin from Dawson's lap. He sat down and broke off a piece of muffin.
"Want some muffin?" Adam said.
Adam held out the muffin piece. After Colby swallowed the banana, he took the piece of muffin from Adam and ate that, too. Dawson fed Colby about half of the banana. Dawson put his muffin and the half banana on the table. He got up and went into the cabin. Adam kept feeding Colby pieces of his muffin. Dawson came out with a bowl of water. He put it down on the ground, next to the porch. Colby came over and drank some water. When he finished, he lifted his head up, licked his lips, and started to wander off.
"He seems to be alright," Adam said.
"Yeah," Dawson said, picking up one of the mugs, "We should tell Rosa to have him checked out just to be sure."
"Mmm," Adam acknowledged as he put the half banana and Dawson's muffin on the table.
The boys sat quietly, having their breakfast, as the sun came up. At one point, Dawson absentmindedly tried to run his fingers through his hair.
"Babe, is my hair messed up?" Dawson asked Adam with concern.
Adam looked at Dawson's hair and sighed. It was all messed up.
"Babe, it's fine," Adam said, "You're gorgeous."
"You're a terrible liar," Dawson said.
"Well, I think you're gorgeous," Adam argued.
Dawson smiled and shook his head.
"When do you want to bring Colby back?" Dawson said.
"I want to see Elvis before he leaves," Adam said, "So we can head over after we get dressed."
Adam looked for Dawson's reaction. Dawson was sipping his coffee.
"I want to go back to the waterfall and have lunch there, too," Adam said.
"Ok," Dawson said, "Is it too muddy to take the ATVs to the river?"
"Probably right now, yeah," Adam replied, "But it should dry up."
"Hmm," Dawson said, "We'll have to see. It looks like it's going to be cloudy today."
Adam looked at the wet ground around them. Then he surveyed the sky. Disappointment started to show on his face. Dawson noticed Adam's demeanor but he didn't say anything. He simply reached his hand out and squeezed Adam's thigh. He left his hand there as he sipped his coffee.
The boys finished their muffins and the banana. They began to continue the discussion about their ideas for how they wanted to proceed with their inheritance. They both had one eye on Colby as he lazily moved around the area, exploring everything. At one point, Colby found a stick and jauntily came toward the porch. He came right up to Adam. He dropped the stick at Adam's feet, and then sat down, looking at him, panting with anticipation.
"I think he wants you to play with him," Dawson said with a grin.
Adam smiled at Colby. He held his empty mug to the side and Dawson took it. Adam got up, leaned over, and picked up the stick. Colby's eyes followed the stick as Adam lifted it over his head. He tossed it lightly to the left, in the direction of the tire swing. Colby took off as soon as the stick left his hand. He raced to where the stick landed. He picked it up and proudly carried it back to where Adam was standing. Adam bent slightly and leaned on his knees. Colby dropped the stick in front of Adam. Adam picked up the stick and looked like he was going to throw it in the same direction, but at the last second tossed it to the right, in the direction of the dock. Colby didn't miss a thing and he darted toward where Adam threw the stick.
"Ahh, you're paying attention," Adam said to Colby.
Dawson chuckled. He stood up with the mugs. He went inside as Adam and Colby continued to play. When Dawson entered the cabin, it was then that he noticed that Adam had cleaned up everything from the night before. The blankets, his clothes, the wine glasses, and the dossiers were all put away. Dawson went into the kitchen and cleaned the mugs and the coffee pot.
Dawson went into the bedroom and took off his boots and socks. He took off his bathrobe and shorts and shirt he wore to bed. Then he put his bathrobe back on. He grabbed a towel and picked up the body wash in the bathroom. He went outside to find Adam out on the still-wet ground in his bare feet. He and Colby were playing fetch. Adam was throwing the stick much further now and Colby was racing excitedly to retrieve it.
Dawson took his robe off and waded into the water, staying next to the dock.
"Brrr!" Dawson said, "The lake is really cold."
"Yeah, from the rain last night," Adam said right before he threw the stick for Colby.
Dawson carried the robe, towel, and body wash until the water reached his mid thighs. He put them down on the dock and began to wash himself. He spent extra time on his hair as he kept making sounds in reaction to the coldness of the water.
Colby came back with the stick and dropped it in front of Adam. This time, Adam crouched down and began petting Colby.
"Ok, boy," Adam said, "That's enough for now. I'm going to go wash up."
Adam turned toward the dock and Colby followed. Adam took off his robe and boxer briefs. He held them as he waded into the water.
"Damn! That's cold!" Adam cursed.
Adam waded over to where Dawson was. Colby went onto the dock, up to where Dawson was standing in the water. Adam reached Dawson and began washing up. Colby sniffed around a bit on the dock and then trotted off to the side of the cabin.
When Dawson finished washing, he lifted himself up onto the dock. He began drying off. Adam followed him. Dawson handed him the towel and picked up the body wash. He waited for Adam to dry himself off. When both boys had their robes on they held hands and went into the cabin. Adam left the door ajar so Colby could get in when he wanted to.
The boys headed for the bedroom. Dawson put the body wash in the bathroom. He spent a few minutes getting his hair just right. When he turned to leave, Adam was standing in the doorway, watching him. He had his arms out, pressing his hands against the doorjamb, blocking Dawson's exit. Dawson smiled at Adam and came up to him.
"I didn't get my good morning kiss," Adam said softly.
Dawson leaned in and gave Adam a slow, sensual kiss... just their lips... no embrace... no other contact. The boys both closed their eyes as they shared a tender moment. Then Dawson pulled back slowly. They both opened their eyes.
"That was nice," Adam said lovingly.
"Sorry you had to wait so long for it," Dawson said, "You can blame our friend," Dawson said playfully, "I was content to keep holding you this morning."
"You can hold me now," Adam said with a grin.
Dawson leaned in to embrace Adam. Adam lowered his arms and slowly turned so Dawson could hold him from behind. Dawson wrapped his arms around his boyfriend. Adam sighed.
"I love you, Adam Jameson," Dawson whispered into his ear.
"Mmmm," Adam said as he nestled his head against Dawson's shoulder, "I love you, Dawson Stewart."
Dawson kissed Adam's neck and then sighed.
"What would you think if I changed my last name to Navarro or Santos," Dawson said.
Adam immediately reacted by pulling forward and turning around.
"Really?" Adam said with excitement as he looked at Dawson.
"I'm thinking about it..." Dawson said as he looked at Adam, "I mean, the Stewarts aren't really my family. Why should I carry their name?"
Adam smiled at Dawson. He put his hands on Dawson's pecs.
"Whatever you decide you want to do, I'm 100% with you," Adam said.
Then he moved in to embrace Dawson. Dawson kissed the side of Adam's face as they hugged. Suddenly, Adam felt something brush his leg. It was Colby.
"Can I help you?" Adam said as he pulled back and looked down at Colby.
Dawson started to chuckle as he looked down.
"He's jealous," Dawson said playfully, "He thought the two of you had something going with the stick throwing and now he comes in here and sees you two-timing him."
The boys chuckled. Adam crouched down. He began petting Colby behind his ears.
"Are you jealous, boy?" Adam said to him, "I'd never cheat on you, Colby. You're too cute."
Adam kept petting and talking to Colby as Dawson watched and laughed. Eventually, the boys got dressed. They packed some water bottles and some snacks in a backpack. Adam put the backpack on and they headed out toward the Santos farm.
They were barely past the tire swing when Krantz contacted them on the communicator. He told them he was sending someone to the cabin while they were gone to replace the block of ice in the ice box and to bring fresh towels and linens. He wanted to know if they needed anything else. The boys couldn't think of anything.
The boys held hands as they went at a leisurely pace. The air was cooler than the day before. It was still cloudy, but it didn't look like there was rain coming. Colby too the lead, wandering back and forth as he sniffed the ground in front of the boys. Occasionally, he'd run off where the boys didn't know where he was. They'd call for him and within a few moments his head would pop up somewhere or he'd come running toward them.
As they made their way to the Santos property, the boys continued their conversation about what they wanted to do with their inheritance. They kept coming back to a couple of ideas.
Eventually, the boys approached the fence they had built the week before. They both looked down at one of the property markers as they passed it, recalling the incident with Adam's father on the fence line. Colby was now walking next to the boys as they made their way to the horse barn.
When they made it to the paddock, the boys could see Rosa in the barn. She had her back to them talking to one of the horse trainers. She turned and was holding the reins of a horse she began leading out of the barn. Colby approached her, wagging his tail. Rosa stopped and put her free hand on her hip.
"Well, what do you have to say for yourself?" Rosa said in a reprimanding tone.
Colby's tail started to wag slower. He wasn't sure if Rosa was really mad at him or not.
"Oh, don't be so hard on him," Dawson said, "He had a really rough night."
The boys approached Rosa and explained what had happened with Colby.
"He appears to be all right, but it would be good to have a vet take a look at him," Adam said.
Colby started to wander into the barn. Dawson began to pet the horse next to Rosa.
"Well, the vet will be here on Monday to check on the horses," Rosa said, "I'll have him take a look at Colby."
Rosa paused and looked at Dawson's face.
"I like this," Rosa said, rubbing her chin, "It looks good on you."
Dawson grinned and touched his goatee.
"Thanks," Dawson said.
"Is Elvis in the barn?" Adam asked.
"Yes, you can take him out and walk him if you want," Rosa said.
Adam got excited and darted toward the barn. Dawson and Rosa began talking as they walked the horse.
"So, what happened with Colby?" Dawson asked, "Why did he come back?"
Rosa grimaced.
"Well, Colby just can't help but sabotage himself," Rosa said, "He was causing trouble from the get-go, not obeying commands, getting into mischief. Anyway, the family was out. The mom was getting the kids out of the SUV. She put the toddler into the stroller. Colby wouldn't stop fidgeting. The dad told him to sit, but he decided to charge at something he saw. The dad lost hold of his leash and Colby knocked into the stroller causing it to roll into the road. The toddler was almost hit by two cars. The mom was beside herself. And that was it for Colby. They just couldn't feel comfortable with him after that."
"Wow," Dawson said as he had a look of disappointment on his face.
"And last night," Rosa said, "Abuelita went out onto the back porch to check out the clouds rolling in. Colby somehow got out. He wouldn't listen to her and ran off. I tried to find him, but it was already dark and it started to rain."
"Where is Abuelita?" Dawson asked, "Is she here?"
"No, she went into town," Rosa replied, "She won't be back until late afternoon."
As Rosa and Dawson kept walking the horse around the paddock, Adam emerged from the barn walking next to Elvis. Elvis didn't have a bridle. Adam simply had his hand on his side as they walked together. Adam was talking to Elvis and Elvis was reacting as if he understood him.
"The way Adam connects with Elvis..." Rosa commented as they continued to walk the horse, "It's like nothing I've ever seen."
"Mmm," Dawson acknowledged, "They somehow bonded the second Elvis was born."
They both watched Adam and Elvis for a few moments. At that point, Margherita came out of the house. Adam saw her and waved. He brought Elvis around to meet up with Rosa and Dawson.
"I need to talk to Tia," Adam said, "Dawson, Elvis wants to walk with you."
"Ok," Dawson said as he grinned at Elvis.
He went toward Elvis and hugged him. Elvis nuzzled into Dawson.
"Aw, I missed you too," Dawson said.
He began walking Elvis around the paddock. Rosa and her horse followed behind them. Adam went over to Margherita and they began talking. At one point, Margherita went inside the house. Adam took his backpack off and put it on the steps. When Margherita came out, she had some things in her arms. Dawson glanced over and saw Adam putting the things Margherita brought into his backpack.
Colby came out of the barn and made his way over to Margherita and Adam. They began petting him as they continued talking. Eventually, the three of them came over to where Rosa and Dawson were walking the horses.
Adam and Dawson started walking together with Elvis as Colby hovered near them. Rosa and Margherita began talking in whispered tones as they walked their horse. Eventually, Adam and Dawson stopped with Elvis when they reached the barn.
"We should probably get going," Adam said to Dawson.
Dawson nodded. The boys exchanged hugs with Rosa and Margherita while Colby wagged his tail and tried to nuzzle in. Adam and Dawson hugged Elvis and said goodbye to him.
"We'll see you on Sunday," Adam said to Rosa and Margherita.
Dawson crouched down and began petting Dawson's face.
"Now, you be a good boy for Rosa and Tia," Dawson said, "They're going to find you another home. And you need to behave this time."
"Oh, I'm sure we'll find him a good home," Rosa said with a grin.
Dawson stood up and Adam slipped his hand into Dawson's. They started walking.
"C'mon, Colby," Adam said.
Dawson stopped and turned toward Adam with a confused look. Adam was smiling at him. Dawson looked at Rosa and Margherita. They were also smiling.
"Wait..." Dawson said as he looked at Colby, "Are we taking him?"
"Do you think we can give him a good home?" Adam said, still smiling.
Dawson was still confused, but he was beginning to understand what was happening.
"Are you serious?" Dawson asked, "We can take him?"
Margherita and Rosa nodded and smiled.
"Tia gave me some food for him," Adam said as he turned and shook the backpack on his back.
"You should have enough to get you to Sunday," Margherita said, "I'll have the rest sent over to the house."
Excitement swept across Dawson's face.
"Thank you," Dawson said toward Margherita and Rosa.
"Don't thank us," Margherita said, "It was Adam's idea."
Dawson turned toward Adam and they embraced. Colby began nuzzling between their legs, furiously wagging his tail. The boys both looked down and started to chuckle. They said goodbye again and the three of them began heading back to the cabin.
The boys took out their water bottles and were sipping them as they made their way back. Colby seemed to have extra enthusiasm in his gait as he led the way back. He continued to wander and explore like he did before. When he would wander off and the boys would call him, he'd come right up to them and wait for one of them to pet him before he'd go off again.
The boys saw Colby go behind the cabin as they approached it. Dawson took the bowl he'd left outside earlier and brought it inside. He pumped water from the pump in the kitchen and refilled the bowl. He went outside and put the bowl back. Adam was on the porch watching Colby sniffing on the dock. Colby came over and drank some water. He came up from the bowl and licked his lips as he looked at the boys watching him from the porch. Colby turned and began to walk toward the tire swing.
"Don't wander too far," Dawson said.
The boys went inside, leaving the door open slightly for Colby. Adam picked up one of the real estate dossiers and plopped down on one of the couches. Dawson headed toward the bathroom. He came out with the 5-gallon bucket. He went out to the lake to fill it and returned to the bathroom. After he was done in the bathroom, Dawson came out to the living room. Adam was still sitting on the couch. He had disappointment written on his face. Dawson noticed.
"What's the matter?" Dawson asked as he sat down next to him.
"Nothing," Adam said, "I just really wanted to go to the waterfall today."
Dawson slid his hand onto Adam's thigh.
"We can try again tomorrow," Dawson said, "Besides, I think we can find something else to do."
Dawson lifted his eyebrows a couple times as he looked at Adam. He slid his hand onto Adam's junk and squeezed. Adam grinned. Dawson took Adam's hand and the boys got up. They went into the bedroom. When they got near the bed, Dawson gently pushed Adam. Adam was a bit surprised as he fell backward onto the bed. Dawson had a devilish grin on his face. Adam smiled at him.
"Get undressed," Dawson ordered.
The boys began disrobing as they tossed their clothes onto the floor. Dawson was done first. He reached into the side table and grabbed the lube container he used before. He tossed it onto the bed next to Adam. Dawson crawled onto the bed, his plumped-up penis continuing to harden. He hovered over Adam while Adam was sliding his boxer briefs down. Dawson grabbed them and pulled them off. He tossed them onto the floor and then brought his lips near Adam's ear.
"Roll over," Dawson whispered.
Adam was confused as to what Dawson was planning, so he hesitated.
"I said, roll over," Dawson repeated with a sterner voice.
Adam rolled over while trying to still look at Dawson. He was trying to figure out what Dawson was going to do. Once Adam's butt cheek was exposed, Dawson smacked it with a moderate slap.
"Ah," Adam reacted with surprise.
When Adam was on his stomach, Dawson wedged his knees between Adam's legs, spreading them. He bent down and put his hands on Adam's butt cheeks. He spread his ass open and drove his face into his ass crack.
"Oh!" Adam gasped.
Dawson began flicking and stabbing his tongue with abandon. He worked Adam's hole with a vengeance while Adam gasped and moaned and groaned. Adam was pushing his butt back toward Dawson to enhance the feelings as he grabbed at the sheets and pillows. Dawson was munching and licking as he held Adam's butt cheeks apart, working his hole like a pro.
After about four or five minutes of intense rimming, Dawson popped his head up. His mouth was glistening with his own spit. He was breathing heavily. Adam's body lay limply on the bed, his head askew, his hands somewhat tangled in the bed sheets. He was also breathing heavily.
Dawson grabbed Adam's hip and rolled him onto his side. He reached for the lube. He squirted some lube onto his hand. He tossed the lube container to the side and began stroking Adam's pole, slathering it with the lube.
"Oh," Adam gasped in a daze as he tried to recover from the glorious rimming he'd just received.
Dawson took his slick hand and spread the rest of the lube into his own ass crack, preparing his asshole.
Dawson laid down next to Adam, facing him. Their hard cocks bumped into each other. Dawson drew himself closer to Adam. He grabbed Adam's leg and pulled it so his thigh was resting on Dawson's hip. He slid his slicked-up hand into Adam's butt crack and began rubbing Adam's asshole.
Dawson was now holding Adam tightly with his arm holding Adam's thigh against him. Adam had his arms wrapped around Dawson, his hands resting against Dawson's back. Dawson watched as Adam tried to focus his eyes.
"I have a question for you..." Dawson said.
Adam tried to focus as he listened to Dawson, but the warmth emanating from his asshole was all he could think about. The tip of Dawson's middle finger was pressing against Adam's rosebud.
"If I slide my finger inside you, it will feel even better than my tongue," Dawson said, "Do you want me to?"
Dawson began to tickle the outside of Adam's asshole with the tip of his finger. Adam sighed from the sensation. He was not sure if he wanted Dawson to continue.
"Trust me," Dawson whispered and then he grinned at Adam.
Adam's eyes darted from one of Dawson's eyes to the other as he considered if he wanted Dawson to finger his ass.
"Ok," Adam said softly.
Dawson held his arm tighter against Adam's thigh. He pulled Adam closer with his other arm. He began to slide his finger inside Adam.
"Oh!" Adam gasped from the sensation.
Adam immediately dug his fingers into Dawson's back. Dawson was going to go slow and stop when he met resistance. But he didn't meet any. He had worked Adam's asshole over so well with his tongue that his middle finger slid in all the way. Adam's face contorted as he felt Dawson's finger enter him. Dawson's finger stopped when he felt Adam's engorged prostate with his finger tip.
"Hang on to me, babe," Dawson said softly.
Adam was processing what Dawson said when suddenly Dawson began pressing and flicking his finger against Adam's prostate.
"Ohhhh!" Adam moaned as he reacted to the stimulation.
On instinct, Adam's body tried to get away from the intense feeling. But Dawson held him so tightly that he couldn't move. Adam's head flailed and his hands clutched at Dawson's back as Dawson's finger poked and prodded at Adam's prostate. Adam's head pressed into Dawson's cheek as Adam's eyes kept bugging out. His breathing became erratic. He was gasping and moaning. He kept trying to speak but his words sounded like gibberish. Dawson kept the pressure up, continuing to manipulate Adam's most sensitive organ. Dawson continued his direct stimulation of Adam's prostate with his finger for as long as he thought Adam could stand it.
Suddenly, Dawson stopped. He slowly slid his finger out of Adam's ass. Adam looked at him with amazement as he tried to catch his breath. Dawson released his tight hold on Adam.
"Fuck me," Dawson ordered, "Take me right now."
Adam could still feel the burning sensation in his prostate. It took his sexual excitement to a whole new level. Adam moved quickly, with a purpose, surprising Dawson. He quickly moved his leg off of Dawson and shoved Dawson roughly onto his back. Adam got up on his knees. His slicked-up dick was rock hard and pointing upward. Adam moved toward Dawson's feet. He grabbed Dawson's legs and roughly twisted them causing Dawson to suddenly flip onto his stomach. Adam grabbed Dawson's ankles and tugged his body closer to him, pulling the bed sheets as he did. Adam crawled between Dawson's legs and grabbed Dawson's hips. Dawson barely had enough time to get a hand hold as Adam pulled him up to get on his hands and knees. Adam got on one knee and pointed his cock toward Dawson's now exposed asshole. Adam lined his pole up against Dawson's hole. He thrust himself into Dawson with urgency, causing Dawson to fall forward onto his stomach. Adam grunted like an animal as he feel forward with Dawson. He began thrusting his dick forcefully in and out of Dawson.
Dawson's head and one arm were hanging over the side of the bed as he tried to brace himself to receive the brunt of Adam's thrusts. The feeling of fingering Adam and causing him to flail and groan against him already had him at the height of sexual excitement. The pounding that Adam was giving his prostate was going to very quickly send him over the edge.
Adam's prostate still glowed, enhancing his experience. His cock never felt harder. He kept thrusting, building rapidly to orgasm. Adam drove his cock into Dawson for almost two minutes, both boys getting what they wanted from the session. Dawson was soon on the edge of his orgasm starting.
"I'm gonna cum!" Dawson suddenly gasped.
Dawson reached back with one of his hands and tried to grasp Adam's side. Adam thrust forward, driving his pole deep into Dawson. Dawson began to cum, milking Adam as his insides spasmed around Adam's cock.
"Ugh! ... Ugh! ... Ugh! ... Ugh! ... Ugh! ... Ugh! ... Ugh! ..." Dawson moaned over the side of the bed as he came.
Adam began to cum from the sensations as he held himself deep inside Dawson.
"Uugghh!!!... Uuughh!!!... Uugghh!!!... Uugghh!!!... Uugghh!!!... Uugghh!!!... Uugghh!!!... Uugghh!!!... " Adam grunted as he deposited his seed inside Dawson.
With each spasm of his prostate, it felt even more intense than usual because of the stimulation it got from Dawson's fingering.
Adam collapsed onto Dawson when he was finished cumming. Both boys were breathing heavily. After a minute or so, Adam finally moved. He slowly withdrew his cock and rolled off of Dawson. Dawson managed to roll toward Adam so they were face to face.
The bed sheets and pillows were tossed everywhere. There was a puddle of Dawson's sperm on the bed sheets next to where the boys lay. Adam and Dawson ignored all of that as they embraced. Adam could still feel his prostate throbbing as he held onto his boyfriend. Dawson was grinning from the proper fucking he'd just received from Adam.
