The Human Bearer

While his heart yearned for him to go to Xana, he respected his husband's order to stay out of each other's sight for the entire day. Although he feared for Kanto's fate, Xana wasn't the kind to say words in vain. He wouldn't have gotten so upset unless he had decided to go with Riordan's big ask to spare the commander's life.

Junior hadn't minded at all having his dada all to himself the whole day. Kyle had been there to entertain them both and feed the boy only his favorite foods, so, in a nutshell, the day hadn't been wasted. Riordan had tried to push any dark thought away, postponing any worry to the time when he'd talk to Xana again.

But now, that the night was near, according to the very precise clock Kyle used, his dread returned. Junior had chosen the water tank to sleep in, dedicated as he was to become a fierce warrior one day, and Riordan hadn't had the heart to keep the boy by his side for a bit of comfort.

According to the bot, Xana had just sent instructions for Kyle to step outside and spend the night guarding the door. That could be good, or it could be bad. Clearly, he was left without any ally, and he would meet his husband's wrath. Or maybe Xana wanted to talk and wanted to do so in perfect privacy. Although they could both trust Kyle with anything. Right?

He started when the doors opened again, letting Xana in. His husband looked just as pissed as he'd been when leaving their shared quarters, many hours ago.

Riordan waited until Xana lay on the bed by his side, but without showing any sign that he wanted to move closer or acknowledge that he was in bed with the human he considered more than just the bearer of his eggs.

That meant that he needed to show a bit of bravery. Riordan scooted closer until he was a hair's breadth away from Xana. He didn't touch him.

"How did it go?" he eventually asked.

"I am letting him live. For now," Xana replied, his tone just as cutting as before.

"Okay. Thank you," Riordan whispered. He made a move to touch Xana's arm, but his Xeno husband moved out of the way.

He hadn't expected that refusal to hurt so much. Swallowing his pride for once was the way to go. From the short conversation with Kyle on the topic of Xana's behavior, he had understood that his husband was put in a very delicate position by pardoning Kanto for what he'd done. And it wasn't a thing that could be kept a secret from everyone else. The lack of the high commander in the command room wouldn't go unnoticed. And having him disappear like that, without an explanation, was simply impossible. That only meant that Kanto must have been exposed to public disgrace, but he was alive, and that mattered.

"Xana, I love you," Riordan said, "only you. There's no point in being jealous of Kanto."

"Jealous?" The harsh contempt in Xana's voice left painful marks on Riordan's heart. "Do you think this is about the exquisite attractiveness of your belly?"

"Then tell me what's about, then. Just talk to me," Riordan insisted.

"What do you think His Royal Chancellor, Marn Savier, or my father, General Xeus Lei, would have done in my place?"

"They are wise leaders. They would have judged the commander's actions--"

"They would have blasted his ship out of existence!" Xana moved away from Riordan's reach and began moving through the room.

Riordan threw a nervous look at the tank in which Junior was sleeping soundly.

"Don't worry. He won't hear or see a thing of what I'm about to do to you."

"Oh, fuck," Riordan whispered. He put his hands on his belly. "Just don't hurt them, please."

Xana gave him a look as if he had seen vermin for the first time in his life. "I won't hurt you, either," he said with a hiss. "What do you take me for?"

Riordan had no reply left in him. He grunted as Xana caught his ankle and pulled him down on the floor. His night robe was pushed up and pulled over his head in one fell swoop. His husband's eyes were shining in the dark.

"Xana," he whispered, not understanding what was going on now. Was he mad? Was he horny?

"Both," Xana said curtly, answering his unspoken questions, and bit down on Riordan's chest, fast and hard.

So, he was reading his thoughts right now. Riordan focused on a single phrase, hoping to get to Xana, but a short annoyed grunt from his husband let him know that he shouldn't think of anything at all.

That was a hard thing to do because pain and pleasure radiated from where Xana bit him. From there, his Xeno husband moved to his neck, licking it and then biting it just as hard.

"You said you wouldn't hurt me," Riordan mumbled, although he couldn't tell where pain ended and pleasure began.

"Do you hurt anywhere, my love?" Xana mocked him.

Riordan snapped his eyes open. He pursed his lips and looked at his husband, hovering above, with his lips twisted in a sneer.

"Asshole," he said through his teeth and tried to land a punch.

Xana laughed and caught his wrist. He forced it back until Riordan's clenched fist rubbed against the floor. "Fight me, Riordan. You want so much to have things your way. Prove it that you have it in you to go against me and win."

"As if I'm a match for the likes of you," Riordan snarled. "You know this fight's unfair."

"Yes, it is," Xana whispered against his lips, "because the entire world can end up despising me, and I'd still do anything for you."

Riordan's fury faded. What was Xana talking about? Despising him? Who, the others? But he was the Royal Chancellor now, wasn't he?

"It doesn't matter who you are if you cannot live up to the role you were given," Xana said.

Riordan felt the longing and the barely suppressed anger in Xana's kiss. It was so sweet and yet had a hint of pain as the Xeno alternated between biting his mouth and licking it to make it all better with seth.

"My offspring, inside you," Xana whispered like a chant. His large hand fondled Riordan's belly. "I will put all of them in you, and you will have no choice but to remain by my side forever."

"You don't have to prove anything to me," Riordan breathed out, as warmth spread from where Xana was touching him and reached between his legs. "You know I won't leave you. Ever."

"I know. I won't let you."

There went all the Xeno reasoning that Riordan couldn't fight against. Xana pushed his legs up and licked him everywhere, from the inside of his thighs to his cock and balls to his crack.

"I will use you every night like this," Xana warned him.

It sounded like a threat, but it wasn't. Xana pushed himself inside him, getting all his cock in, and Riordan only opened wide, ready to receive him. It was so pleasurable, it could blow his mind. And even if said in anger, those words, he knew, they were words of love, as love could be felt and understood by a Xeno.

No, not just any Xeno. Xana. He belonged to Riordan. He was the one doing the claiming, but this thing between them went both ways. Riordan wrapped his arms around Xana's head, cradling it against his bitten chest, whispering words his husband probably didn't want to hear. Tough luck. Riordan wanted him to know everything anyway.

"There's no one like you, Xana. You are a young ruler, but you are better than all that came before you. That's why I love you. Because you're kind, because you're different, because--"

He was forced to shut up by an angry and thirsty forked tongue. He continued in his mind, knowing Xana could read it all. He didn't stop for a moment, while Xana penetrated him over and over in short thrusts that only brought their pleasure closer.

And then, the tongue in his mouth was replaced by that pesky tail. Xana laughed as Riordan was forced to take more of the thing.

"My dear bearer," Xana whispered, "you require discipline. I will give it to you in spades, don't think I won't."

Riordan couldn't speak since he was forced to fellate his husband's tail. His mumbled protests drowned in Xana's laughter. His husband manhandled him until Riordan was in his lap, bouncing him on his manhood.

Then, the slaps came. On one butt cheek, and then the other. Riordan gasped and that only made Xana's tail get deeper down his throat. His ass squeezed hard on the cock penetrating it with each consecutive slap.

"Your orifice closes down on me in the most delicious manner when I do this," Xana remarked with delight. "I believe I also like you silent like this."

Riordan sent all his fury to Xana the telepathic way, but it looked like his husband could manifest selective hearing when it fit him. Keeping up with his anger was an impossible feat as pleasure surged through him, soothing him while taking him higher. Xana taking it out on him like this was nothing. No, that wasn't right; thinking while getting fucked two ways was hard. It was everything. It only went to prove how much Xana wanted him. And this Xeno, who had to rule the others and prove to them that he was the same as the ruthless leaders before him, had chosen to listen to his human husband and have mercy on a subordinate who had dared to ignore his orders for the sake of a greater good.

He remained suspended between the realm of pleasure and that of almost losing consciousness. When Xana let him gently to the floor, he was drenched in sweat, seth, and cum. And if that wasn't enough, Xana pulled out and sprayed everything he had in his balls all over his belly.

"You're mine, Riordan," Xana said, grabbing Riordan's neck and kissing him fiercely. "Don't ever forget that."

As if he could. He was too spent to voice it out loud. But he was sure Xana had heard him, loud and clear.

"What happens now?" Riordan asked as he watched Xana getting ready for another day as the ruler of the Xeno race on Tu'lek first thing in the morning.

Xana gave him a short look but said nothing. So, he was still mad after they went at it like a pack of frenzied rabbits for the entire night.

"I'd like to see Kanto, hear from him that our friends are okay."

Now, Xana stopped adjusting the cuffs on his formal coat and stared at him, hoping, probably, that Riordan would wither under his gaze.

"Xana," Riordan said in warning, "you can't be serious."

"Can't I now?" Xana smiled and moved away.

"You're keeping him on this ship. I will find him," Riordan shouted at his husband's back.

"Good luck with that, my love," Xana threw over his shoulder.

Riordan jumped out of bed and hurried to his husband. He caught Xana's arm, decided to give the annoying prick a piece of his mind, but the tables were turned on him once more, and he was caught in a hard embrace and kissed until he could no longer breathe.

"Your precious Kyle may ignore all my orders since he is loyal to you and you only, but the security detail that moves with you everywhere will report to me immediately if you stray from the schedule I set out for you."

"What? You can't treat me like that!"

Okay, he hadn't meant to yell, but Xana was getting on his nerves big time. His Xeno husband laughed at his protests and then brushed his thumb over Riordan's lips. "Your mouth still smells of my cum. Make sure to brush thoroughly."

Riordan's angry snarl was all in vain and too late. Xana had left the room.

Yep, it was completely annoying to have those guards with him all the time. Even so, that didn't mean he wouldn't try at all. Kyle was right behind him, and Junior, in his quest of achieving more independence, preferred the bot's company for a change.

"Where is the high commander being held?" he asked directly, addressing the lizard guard that seemed to be in charge of the entire group, and therefore his entire security detail. "Hey, do you have a name?"

"It would be impossible for you to pronounce it," the lizard replied.

"Then what should I call you? Guard A, B, C, D don't sound that good to me."

He didn't get a chance to hear an answer, because someone stopped in front of him. It was another human bearer, and he seemed like he didn't want to step out of the way. "Riordan Lei," he said firmly, "I believe you can afford to neglect us only this long. What are your plans with us?"

"I have no clue what you're talking about."

The bearer had the nerve to roll his eyes. "I've heard enough about how you prefer to fight and do other un-bearer like things, but your current position doesn't allow it anymore. You must offer us guidance."

"On how to fight and do other un-bearer like things?" Riordan asked while he took the guy in with renewed interest.

The bearer pinched the bridge of his nose. "I can't believe I'm doing this. Why did it have to be me?" he moaned.

"Hey," Riordan snapped his fingers in front of the guy. "I'm right here, so quit talking to yourself like this. What's the matter? Don't know how to put your pants on the right way? Oh, shoot, we're not wearing any pants. Come on, out with it. What's going on?"

His direct tone seemed to work some magic on the guy, because he finally seemed to realize who he was talking to. He stood upright and then bowed exaggeratedly. "Riordan Lei, in your position as His Excellency's consort, we believe that we have a lot to learn from you."

"Yeah, okay," Riordan said slowly, "I don't think that's a good idea. I'm only going to teach you bad things. Who are you?" He took in the bearer. Unlike other Earthians on the ship, he didn't wear his hair long, nor did he appear to resort to the usual feminine affectations some of them chose. His blond hair was cropped close to the head at the back, almost military-style, save for the stylish waves in front that made him look like a model from the magazines on Earth advertising shampoos for men and the like. He had blue eyes, and overall, seemed to be of Nordic descent. Another thing easy to notice about him was how tall he was. Riordan wasn't short, but he had to look up at him to keep eye contact.

And he was obviously pregnant.

"My name is Huno Sedar, Consort Lei," the bearer replied promptly. "I belong to Zan Ensa."

"I can't say I've heard of either of you, but we're hundreds on this ship, so I suppose that's not out of the ordinary," Riordan thought out loud. "Is it your first?" He pointed at Huno's large belly.

"Yes. My master was often dispatched to off-world missions, and therefore our time together was limited."

"So, your husband is in the military?"

Huno gave him a long look but didn't comment on Riordan's choice of words. "He is a liaison officer between the various military branches of Xeno. His work is required frequently when conducting large-scale operations."

"Okay, but don't these guys communicate easily, you know, mind to mind?" Riordan patted his temple.

He could swear Huno looked at him with contempt. "The Xeno communication network," he recited, "is a complex neurological and biological structure. My master plays a major role in regulating the communication between different units to avoid misunderstandings. He is a strategist."

"Cool," Riordan said with a shrug. "What's your business with me, Huno baby?"

Again, the guy seemed to be taken aback by Riordan's familiar manners. "Consort Lei," he said, emphasizing the honorific, "you must guide the human bearers on Tu'lek, as your position requires."

"What's that supposed to mean? You've been doing just fine before. Or were you just running around like headless chicken, not knowing what to do?" He had no idea why, but it was fun to pull this guy's leg a little. He had no interest in guiding anyone. There were way too many other priorities on the list, such as finding where Kanto was held, talking to Florent, who had to be out of his wits right now—

"This situation is new," Huno cut his train of thought short. "Never before has a bearer been in such a position of power."

Riordan snorted. "What position of power? To make it clear to you, I was... I am close friends to Tasha O'Brien, and he used to be His Royal Chancellor's chosen bearer. It didn't look to me like other bearers crowded his space to annoy the heck out of him."

"That's because Tasha O'Brien knew how to be unpleasant. Also, he had no say in how his owner conducted the usual Xeno affairs on the planet. He was, in scope and purpose, just the same as the rest of us. That is not the case with you."

"Because I fight? Also, for the record, I'm all piss and vinegar, too, so you might think again about getting into my good graces."

Huno examined him carefully. "I'm only pointing out the obvious. The ship is abuzz with your latest victory."

"Refresh my memory, `cause I have no idea what you mean by that," Riordan said.

"The high commander Kanto Vai committed high treason," Huno said in the same even tone. "And yet, he's alive and breathing, making every Xeno on the ship wonder about what made His Royal Chancellor Xana Lei show such an incredible display of lenience."

"Every Xeno, huh?"

"Yes." There was a brief glint of triumph in Huno's eyes. "We, the human bearers, do not wonder, however. The reason behind His Excellency's leniency is you, Consort Lei."

"Oh, fuck," Riordan muttered under his breath and closed his eyes.
