CHAPTER ONE: HOMECOMING

TREY'S POV

"Morning, baby," Bear said as he wrapped me up in his arms and pulled me back into him. It felt so good to feel him like that. I was pleased with my recovery.

"Hey big guy," I told him. We were standing at the big picture window of the hotel we happened to be staying at. It was the last stop on our trip back home.

"I'm not looking forward to going home," Bear said as he pulled me even tighter against him. I could feel his hard, strong body pressed against me and I could also feel something else hard pressing against me.

"Me either, but I think we'd better take the brat home to let my folks see that he's still alive," I joked as I leaned back even more than I already was to get even closer to Bear, though it probably wasn't possible.

"I'm gonna go and grab a shower. Do you wanna join me?" he said in my ear in that deep baritone that made my toes curl.

"Not right now, but you go ahead," I told him. I wanted to go, but I had some things to do.

"Suit yourself," he said before he licked me behind my ear which he knew made me crazy before laughing at my moan and actually skipping off to the bathroom. It was a funny sight to see a guy as big as Bear skipping.

I grabbed my phone and checked to see if I had any messages and I had one from Liberty, Jessica, and Sean. I responded to their messages and then laid back on the bed and let my mind roam.

I was a week from starting college and things looked good. Two years ago, I couldn't imagine I'd be here in a hotel with Bear after spending the night experiencing some superb lovemaking.

Two years ago, Bear was my best friend, Liberty and Jessica were my closest lady friends, Drake was Liberty's boyfriend, and nobody knew that I was gay.

Now, Bear was my fiancé, Sean Mellow was my best friend, Liberty and Jessica were still my closest lady friends, but they were joined by Justice and Miriam. I was also close friends with Veronica Tyler, who turned out to be Sean's cousin, Carter Matthews, who turned out to be gay like me, Dale Simmons who was into geeks like Bear and Sean and had taken up with Miriam, and Christian Grey who had gotten together with Liberty.

My family was closer than ever now that the secrets were out. My father had been the one who surprised me the most with his immediate unconditional acceptance of me. My mom was a brief holdout and my brothers didn't surprise at first, except Zane went way further than I would have thought.

My life at the start of Junior year of high school was much like the years before with me being in love with my best friend and thinking there was no way he could love me back like that. My life now was totally different and if someone had told me two years ago all the stuff I'd have to go through to get to where I was now, I'd probably kick them in the nuts, after learning more about having sex with Bear of course.

"What's going on in that head of yours?" Bear asked as he dropped down on the bed.

"I thought you could read my mind?" I asked back.

"Sometimes I can," he answered. He then took my hand in his and did his thing where he looked into my eyes as if trying to read the depths of my being.

"Well, what do you see?" I asked him after he smiled.

"I see your love for me," he said and damn this big macho bear of a guy could be a sweetheart of a guy as well.

"Good eye," I said before he cracked up. He then leaned over and kissed me and I didn't resist. I stopped him before we got to heavy into it because I still needed to shower and brush my teeth. I got up and started go to the bathroom when there as a knock on the door. It was probably Calvin so I threw on my pants and waited for Bear to do the same before I went to the door.

"Hey bro," I said as I opened the door. He pushed his was into the room.

"You two done fucking yet?" he asked with a smirk after I'd closed the door.

"Watch your mouth," I said as I smacked the back of his head.

"Ow," he said as he rubbed his head. Calvin was steadily growing and he was now taller than Zane's 5'11 height.

"We're about to go again if you wanna stick around and watch," Bear said with a challenging grin.

"What if I said yes?" Calvin asked and I was thoroughly stunned. It seemed Bear though was a quick thinker.

"Okay then," Bear said before standing up and starting to pull down his pants while looking at Calvin with a mischievous grin.

"Alright, stop!" Calvin said loudly as he shielded his eyes.

"What's the matter, can't handle seeing a little man meat?" Bear taunted and I laughed remembering Bear asking me the same question two years earlier.

"Oh, is it little? What a shame," Calvin countered and I mentally kicked myself for not thinking the same thing as a comeback. Bear's eyes narrowed and a sinister glint appeared in them.

"Hey Calvin, why don't you go back to your room and let me and Bear finish getting ready," I said jumping in before my insane lover traumatized my brother for life.

"No Trey, I think Calvin wants a visual that will stick with him forever," Bear said as he hooked his thumbs in the waist of his pants.

"I'm gonna go," Calvin said after looking at Bear for a second and realizing that Bear was crazy enough to give him a full frontal view of the total package, as I called it.

"Yeah, that's a good idea," I said as I lead him to the door. After I saw him out the door I turned and looked at my buffoon.

"Aw baby, you ruined my fun," Bear pouted.

"You are insane, but I'll tell you what. I'll give you a much better idea for some fun," I told him and his face lit up.

"Oh yeah, like what?" he asked with an very interested look on his face.

"Join me in the shower and I'll tell you," I said. I knew that he'd already had a shower, but he'd need another one by the time we were finished.

"You don't need to ask me twice," he said as he rushed to the bathroom while trying to take off his pants at the same time. I just shook my head at him before following him.

"Are you sure we have everything?" I asked Bear as we we're getting ready to check out and head home.

"Yes I'm sure. You've asked that question every time we've gotten ready to check out of a hotel over the summer," he said as he picked up the remainder of the bags.

"Well I had left something in that hotel we stayed in after we left Sea World," I told him.

"Yeah, a stuffed dolphin," he said as he tried not to roll his eyes.

"It was for Marcus and Wayne's son," I told him even though he already knew that.

"Well Trey, you're free to look the room over and see if you've left anything," he told me. I knew I was being aggravating so I just decided to trust that we'd packed everything.

We grab all our stuff and carried it out of the door. We got on the elevator with a woman and her young son who kept looking up at Bear with a look of wonder in his eyes. I guess he'd never seen someone as big and tall as Bear in person before. Bear looked down at him and smiled and he smiled back up at him and I thought the exchange was cute, but I'd never say that out loud.

Bear seemed to know though as he looked over at me and winked at me with a knowing look before the elevator doors opened on the lobby floor. We got off and headed for the front desk so Bear could check out and I saw that Calvin was waiting for us near the door in a small waiting area. I headed for him while Bear handled the check out.

"You ready to head home?" I asked him as I reached him. He looked up from his phone and frowned.

"Am I ready to end a great summer to go home and go to school? No I'm not," he said sounding disgruntled.

"Cheer up. At least you'll get to see Anika again," I teased. I saw his face light up very briefly before he snuffed it to continue his now fake brooding.

"So what," he grumbled.

"Yeah right Calvin. I ain't buy what you selling," I told him and he frowned.

"I'm for real. I don't care about her," he said gruffly but I still wasn't buying it.

"Whatever you say," I told him. Bear walked up about this time.

"You two ready?" he asked. He placed a hand on the small of my back and I tried to hide how I liked that little touch of intimacy.

"Well Captain Grumpy Pants here isn't ready to leave. I say we abandon him here and go home," I joked and Bear snickered.

"Go right ahead. It's not me that will have to face the wrath of Olivia Healey," he said smugly. He was right though.

"Get up and let's go," I ordered as I grabbed what bags I could carry. I was too young to be ripped to shreds by my mother.

"What do you think Ma's gonna say about this?" he asked as he softly gripped my new dreads.

"I don't know. I doesn't matter what she thinks anyway. It's my head," I said even though I knew she'd have an opinion about it.

She freaked when Bear 'accidentally' posted a pic of me without a shirt on to my Instagram. We were at a hotel with a pool near Disney World and Bear took a pic of me as I was coming out of the pool. She called me screeching that I didn't have permission to get a tattoo. I kindly reminded her that I was over 18 and it was legal. She then ranted that I still didn't have permission to alter my body without asking her and I just laughed. So I knew that she would have an opinion.

I had just gotten the dreads and I made sure I didn't take any pics of myself just in case Bear felt the need to post it on social media. I also had an earring and Bear had one as well and Calvin clowned us saying that we had to do everything together. Bear threatened to hold him down and give him a Prince Albert. He brushed it off until he actually looked on his phone and saw what it was. We didn't hear a peep out of him about it anymore.

"Okay, if you think so," he said before walking on ahead to the truck.

"Are you sure you like it?" I asked Bear as I was still worried he didn't. He had been especially horny the night I'd gotten it done, but I was still unsure.

"I do like it. Do you like it?" he asked as he lugged most of our stuff to the truck.

"Yeah, I do," I said after taking a few moments to think about it.

"Then that's all that matters." I looked at him and he winked at me with that grin of his that made me wanna suck his tonsils out. "I need my tonsils," he said which caused me to stall. He walked off while laughing at my shock. I thought I'd gotten used to him doing that but I guess I hadn't.

We made it to the truck and loaded it up with all our stuff before Bear tossed me the keys. I headed for the driver's side and he slid in next to me and Calvin got the passenger's side as the back seat was full.

I started the truck and no matter how many times I did this, it always gave me a thrill to drive Bear's truck. I pulled out and headed for the highway to go home. I was already starting to feel kind of down myself as this was essentially the end of our summer once we got home and Bear would be leaving for school in a few days and me a few days after that. It was time to go home though because even with that, I missed my family and I wanted to see them.

Driving down the street that I'd last seen months before was strange. I'd never been away from home that long before that I was conscious to experience, and I didn't know that I was homesick until I saw that house that I'd known for almost all my life. That same house that I hadn't seen for months. I pulled into the driveway and I took a deep breath.

"Home sweet home," I said as I looked over at Calvin.

"Yeah home sweet home," he mumbled.

"Come on mopey. Don't you wanna see Mama and Dad?" I asked him. I knew he did but I wanted him to say it.

"Yeah, I guess," he said trying to play it off. He then opened the door and I did as well. Bear got out on Calvin's side and started unloading Calvin's and my stuff.

I looked across the street to the house where he used to live. I had to remind myself that they weren't there now. Mama had told me that the Davises had moved out in early July and now a young Latino couple lived there with their 2 daughters and their baby son. I was a bit saddened that Jeremy wouldn't get to finish high school at our old school until Liberty had told me a few days later that she'd seen Jeremy and he'd told her that they were still in town. They just weren't living in the house across the street anymore. That was just fine by me.

"Hey, come on. Come on and let's get the smothering over with," Bear joked and he had that grin on his face that made me need to kiss him so I did. I didn't try to suck out his tonsils though. We then headed on into the house.

"There are my babie-" Mama started before she abruptly stopped once she fully took us in.

"Hey Ma," Calvin said as he stood next to me. I imagined she was shocked to see my new do and Calvin so tall. She was likely used to his new deeper voice from talking to him on the phone.

"Hey boys," Dad said after he got over his initial shock and walked over and hugged us both.

"Hey Dad," I told him.

"Yo pop," Calvin said after Dad released us from the hug.

"What happened to my babies?" Mama asked not sounding pleased.

"Now Livvie," Dad said trying to calm the brewing storm.

"What happened to your hair, and you, what are you doing all the way up there?" Mama asked and I heard Bear stifling a laugh when she questioned Calvin. The way she said it was funny and I found myself trying to keep a straight face as well.

"Mama, I'm sure Calvin had no control over growing. If anything it's your fault," I said and I instantly knew I'd said too much. I even heard Bear hiss behind my back.

"How the hell is it my fault?" she asked harshly.

"Well, he obviously gets it from your dad. I mean, he can't get it from Dad as he's taller than him," I said and she rolled her eyes.

"Hey," Dad said taking offense.

"Sorry I'm taller than you pop," Calvin said to Dad not sounding sorry at all.

"You don't sound very sorry," Dad said in return.

"Well okay then, what about you? What did you do to your hair, and why the earring?" Mama asked now zeroing in on me.

"I like his hair," Bear said trying to help. I shot him a wink as thanks.

"I like it too, and the earring. That's all I'm gonna say on the matter," I told her. She then tried to stare me down but I held my ground.

"Livvie, leave him alone. I like his new look," Dad chimed in.

"Ma, you do know that you still haven't crushed us with a hug yet don't you?" Calvin asked her. Maybe that was the wrong thing to say as she then pulled him over to her and hugged him tight. I started subtly stepping back when I saw his eyes bugging out.

"Where you going?" Bear asked stepping in behind me to block my escape.

"Uh," I tried.

"You got one over here trying to escape Mrs. H," that damned buffoon of mine said ratting me out. Mama then pulled me over to her and I got a repeat of my goodbye and I vowed to make Bear pay.

"So, how was it?" Mama asked as she dragged the two of us into the living room with Bear and Dad bringing up the rear.

"It was alright," I said not wanting to gush about how absolutely wonderful the summer was and how amazing it was to sleep cuddled up to Bear every night. See, I couldn't be saying any of that out loud. It'd make me look soft.

"Quit fronting," Dad said calling me out on what I was obviously doing.

"Yeah, I wanna hear everything," Mama said with a weird smile and gleam in her eyes.

"Nuh uh Ma, I don't think you wanna hear everything. I've seen things," Calvin said, saying the last part like he'd seen something out of a Stephen King movie.

"Quit lying. You ain't seen nothing," I told him after giving him a slap the back of his head.

"Yes I did. How about that night when I saw Bear licking your-," he said before I managed to stop him by covering his mouth. Truth is he could have seen something because Bear and I had done some kinky shit and I had no idea if he'd seen any of it or not. I couldn't take the chance of him actually being stupid enough to tell anyone what he'd seen, if he'd seen anything at all.

"Are you crazy?" I asked him and I saw the mischievous glint in his eyes and I wanted to kick him in the nuts.

"What exactly would he be telling us Trey?" Mama demanded to know with that stern mom glare. I heard Bear snickering up a storm behind me and I had another person I wanted to kick in the nuts. Then rethought that since I had plans for his nuts, I'd have to think of something else.

"Absolutely nothing. I was practically a monk while we were gone," I lied and Bear let out a loud laugh before he could stifle it.

"Uh huh," Mama mumbled.

"So, where are the twins?" Bear asked and I kicked myself for not wondering that myself.

"They're out with Nicole. They should be getting back any second now," Dad said and as if on cue, we heard the front door open and four running footsteps. I stood and so did Calvin to prepare for the onslaught but those two little witches completely ignored us.

"Bear," they both said before they ran into him and he pulled them into a hug as he also picked them up.

"Well I guess we just don't exist," Calvin said flippantly and I nodded in agreement.

"Girls, don't you wanna hug your brothers?" Dad asked them and it was like they all of a sudden remembered that we really did exist.

"Oh yeah, hey guys," Carly said as Bear let them down.

"Yeah right. I don't wanna hear it," Calvin said as he turned his back.

"I'm happy to see you two," Nicole said as she walked over to us. We both hugged her and she squeezed tight. I was happy that she and Zane were still going strong and I hoped that my brother would get a clue and propose to her.

"Where's Zane? I want to see him," Calvin said not being subtle at all.

"You mean you want him to see you," Bear corrected him.

"Yup." He was proud that he was now taller than all the male members of his immediate family but I hoped it didn't go to his head too much.

"Zane's working. By the way, I think you all might wanna go and get your stuff from outside," Nicole said reminding us that we hadn't brought our stuff inside.

We got up and got to work with Dad helping and we were done in a few minutes. I gave them all the stuff I'd gotten them and the twins pouted about not getting to go to Disney World as well. Dad told them that he'd take them during the next summer and they perked up at that.

I went upstairs to unpack my stuff and Bear watched me while I did so. This led to us lying on my bed eating each other's faces for a few minutes before I finished unpacking. I sent everyone but Miriam and Dale a text to let them know we'd made it back and that they could come over. Miriam hadn't made it back yet and wouldn't for a few more days and Dale had already gone to school weeks before.

We headed back downstairs and the parents were in the kitchen as was Nicole. The doorbell rang about the time that Calvin came back down so he went to the door. He came back followed by our friends and I couldn't help wondering how they all got together and got here that fast.

"Hey you all," I said as I stood. The girls pulled me into a group hug and I had a fleeting thought at how being in the middle of a 4 girl hug was wasted on me.

"Get back, it's my turn," Sean said before he pushed the ladies back and pulled me into a crushing hug.

"I think that's enough Sean," Bear said when Sean still hadn't let me go after a minute.

"Back off Davidson. You had him all summer. He's mine now," Sean said sounding awfully possessive.

"This doesn't concern you at all? Seriously?" Liberty asked Justice who I could see indeed wasn't concerned in the least.

"No. I know how to satisfy my man," Justice said with a smug smile on her face.

"Whatever," Liberty mumbled.

"Alright Mellow, it's my turn," Carter said gruffly from behind him. Sean stepped back and then I was hugged again by Carter. It wasn't lost on me that they both felt bigger, but I guess they needed to bulk up for college ball.

"I feel neglected," Bear pouted as nobody had hugged him yet.

"Oh alright," Sean said before he walked over and pulled Bear to him and kissed him full on the mouth. I was equal parts turned on and plotting Sean's brutal murder. "There, now you've been greeted," Sean said after the kiss before walking away like it was nothing.

"Still nothing?" Liberty asked Justice after she'd recovered from the shock.

"Uh, nope," Justice said but I heard her swallow deep and when she looked at me I saw her blush and since she had a bit darker skin tone, she must have been blushing furiously for me to see it.

"So, tell us what you all did," Jessica said as she sat on the ottoman next to the chair on the left side of the sofa. Everyone else took a seat as well with me sitting on the left edge of the sofa and Bear taking the arm next to me.

"I don't see why you have to ask that Jessica. Just look at his Instagram or Twitter. He was all over there," Christian said and maybe he was right. I had posted a lot of pics to Instagram and done a lot of tweeting.

"Well, there's some things that I didn't put on social media," I said when it became obvious that nobody had commented on my hair or our matching earrings.

"Like what?" Justice asked before her eyes went wide as she looked at me. "Your hair!" she said finally seeing it. There was a big commotion then with everyone asking questions and touching my hair and then they noticed the earrings and the Calvin inspired clowning started.

"So aside from the new hair, what else did you guys do?" Veronica asked.

"Well," I said before pulling out my phone and pulling up some pics, "This is Calvin looking scared of Space Mountain, and this is Calvin throwing up after riding Splash Mountain, and this is Calvin trying to mack on some girl, and this is Calvin hiding behind Bear when that girl's boyfriend showed up and he was bigger than him," I said before Calvin snatched my phone.

"I do believe Veronica asked what YOU did, not me," he said.

"Well here's Trey looking freaked when it was his turn to get his earring, and this is Trey's face when I threw him into the pool, and this is him hugging Mickey Mouse," Bear said totally betraying me. Calvin said "nice" to Bear before they high-fived each other.

"Traitor," I said to him as ominously as I could.

"So, what's going on with all of you?" Bear asked trying to change the subject but I currently had 3 things to make him pay for.

"Nothing much. I was just in training," Sean said.

"I was taking some summer courses while Sean was busy," Justice said.

"The rest of us just hung out," Liberty said.

"Well, Veronica was busy," Jessica said all sing-songy.

"What?" I asked as there was something up.

"I'm dating someone, a girl," she said kind of blushing.

"Yup, her and her girl have been knocking boots all summer," Jessica said with a teasing smile.

"You know mama, you sure are very vocal about sex stuff for someone who's only been with one person," Sean said.

"Well it's not about the number of people, but the quality of the sex. Besides, Trey has only been with one person and he sounds knowledgeable," Jessica said.

"I've been with more than one person," I said. I heard Bear clear his throat and I looked at him and realized what I'd just basically said. I looked around and everyone was shocked but Sean. He looked worried too.

"Who else have you had sex with?" Liberty asked. I didn't miss the subtle cut of her eyes in Sean's direction.

"Hey Trey, you'll never guess what Ronnie's girl's name is. It's Fifi, like a dog," he said with a fake smile. I saw what he was doing though and I appreciated it.

"Well..." Jessica said and they all waited.

"I'm not saying now," I said and they erupted in protest trying to get me to tell them. Bear told them that it was none of their business and that we all didn't know who all everyone else in the group had been with and that we should just drop it.

They reluctantly did so and they talked about other stuff. I know they wanted to ask again but they fortunately exercised restraint. Everyone went home just after dark and I waited until Nicole left to talk to the parents.

I told them that I wanted to tell Zane and Calvin about what had happened to me and they asked me if I was sure. I had made great strides in dealing with not only the rape, but also being shot and even when Zane had beaten me up. I'd had several long talks with Dr. Manning over the summer and I felt comfortable with things. I just hoped that Zane didn't go ape shit crazy over this.

I got up early the next day and got a quick shower before heading down for breakfast. Mama fixed the works, complete with bacon, as she said it was our first breakfast at home and that it looked like Calvin and I needed a good meal after being gone so long. I didn't have the heart to tell her that we'd eaten some of the best food on the road as Bear had gotten us some good rooms in the hotels we'd stayed in.

I finished breakfast and left the table full to the rim and I received a call from Sean saying that he'd planned a barbeque for us and there would be no parents allowed. I ran this by my parents and they had no problems as they'd planned a dinner for our family, plus Ivy the following day. Sean told me to come over about 5 and I told him I'd be there.

I was about to ask my Dad to let me borrow his car as Zane still had my truck when Bear arrived. I teased him about disappointing his poor parents and sister by ditching them so soon after coming home but he gave me a toe curling kiss and I forgot my train of thought.

I told him my plans and he said he'd take me, but I told him that I wanted to go alone. He looked disappointed but he gave me another quick kiss and put his keys in my hand. I gave him one last kiss with Calvin joking about how we were too mushy before I left after I flipped him off.

I called Nicole and she told me he was at work so I headed for the police station. I looked around on the way and there wasn't much that had changed over the summer but there wasn't much that could change over the course of two months.

I arrived at the police station and pulled in across the street in an empty parking spot. I waited for a minute because I was unsure how I would go about this as I'd never been to the station to see him before and I didn't know what I was supposed to do. Fortunately though, I was saved from this as I saw Zane and his partner Brett step out of a police cruiser in front of the station so I decided to catch him before he went in and I got out of the truck.

"Yo Healey," I shouted in a deep voice as I crossed the street. Zane and Brett turned around and Zane looked like he didn't recognize me for a second before recognition hit.

"Trey, yo man," he said as a big smile broke out on his face and he headed for me. He pulled me to him and gave me a crushing bear hug when we reached each other.

"Good to see you bro," I said after we'd separated.

"You too man. I'm sorry I couldn't make it over to welcome you back home," he said but I didn't fault him any. He was a cop and was busy after all.

"Don't worry about it. I know you were probably busy," I told him.

"What's up with this?' he asked as he grabbed a few of my dreads.

"I don't know," I shrugged. "How do they look?" I asked because I needed an unbiased opinion and I knew Zane would give it to me.

"I gotta say, they look good on you. They actually make you look cool," he said and I guess I believed him.

"You sure?" I asked again.

"Would I ever lie to you?" he asked trying for innocent looking but failing.

"Yeah you would, but I guess I'll believe you," I told him and he laughed.

"Now what about the earring?" he asked with an amused smirk.

"I just got it." I looked at him and that smirk became more of one.

"Let me guess, Bear has one too," he said and I couldn't deny it.

"Did Nicole tell you?" I asked him which confirmed his statement.

"Nope. It just seems like something you'd do, but you got it on the wrong side," he said looking mischievous and innocent at the same time and I was curious what he was up to.

"What're you talking about?" I asked him.

"You were supposed to get it on the right side, you know, the gay side," he said and I rolled my eyes. I heard Brett snort from where he was while likely trying to hold in laughter.

"Hey Trey, how was your summer?" Brett asked as he stepped up to us with his own amused expression.

"It was... good," I said not wanting to go into details as I'd be keeping them out there all day and I had something to do.

"You don't sound like you had much fun," Brett said.

"No, it was great, as great as it could be with a tag-along," I said and they chuckled a bit. I'd given Calvin a lot of guff over the summer but the truth was that I'd enjoyed hanging with him.

"Wait, how did you get here?" Zane asked as he probably realized that he still had my truck.

"I borrowed Bear's truck. You can drop mine off when you have time," I told him.

"You didn't come for your truck?" Zane asked looking a bit confused.

"No, I actually wanted to talk to you about something, if you have time," I told him. He looked at me for a few seconds likely trying to figure out what was up before he looked over at Brett.

"Take an hour. I'll cover for you," Brett told him.

"Thanks man," Zane said and Brett gave him a nod before he turned and headed for the police station.

Zane turned back and looked at me, but I just told him to follow me. We then got into Bear's truck and I started it and pulled away and drove for a bit. He made a joke about the last time he'd been in Bear's truck when he saw that I wasn't gonna say much.

We continued on and I saw an empty parking lot outside a new restaurant that looked like it was opening soon. I pulled in there and parked and then got out of the truck. Zane got out after a few seconds and came around to the back where I was now leaning against the tailgate.

"What's up Trey? You were almost completely quiet all the way over and now we're here? What's going on?" he asked and I looked out at the street at the passing cars for about a minute before I spoke.

"Before I say anything I want you to promise me that you won't do anything about what I'm about to say to you," I told him and he frowned.

"What did Bear do to you?" he asked after a few seconds of silence.

"Bear didn't do anything to me. This isn't about him. Truth is, I had a great time with him this summer, but I didn't wanna go into details in front of Brett," I told him and he smirked.

"You didn't want him to see you getting all gushy and girly about your summer with Bear," Zane said with annoying accuracy with an amused look on his face.

"No comment," I say. Zane's look turned serious again as he likely remembered what I'd first told him.

"If this isn't about anything that happened over the summer then what is it?" he asked and I wondered if it was a good idea to tell him.

"You never promised me," I said and he looked at me for a bit before he responded.

"Fine, I promise not to do anything," he said then looked at me expectantly. I took a deep breath before I continued.

"I wasn't just seeing that shrink because of the shooting," I told him trying to ease into it.

"Then what else were you seeing him for?" Zane asked. I saw briefly in his eyes that he wondered if it was because of him.

"The night that Kent shot me and killed Clyde... before he did that, he raped me," I told him and his face scrunched up into a frown almost immediately.

"What?" he said in an ice cold tone.

"I said-," I started but he cut in.

"I heard what you said," he said with a noticeable edge.

"Zane, are you okay?" I asked after about 30 seconds of silence.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Take me back to the precinct," he said sounding really weird.

"No, I'm not taking you back until we talk about this and I know that you're not gonna do anything," I told him and that pissed him off.

"Fine then, I'll walk back," he said before turning around and walking away. I ran up to him to stop him.

"Zane, wait," I said as I grabbed his arm.

"Why would you tell me this? What could you have possibly been thinking when you decided to tell me this and then make me promise not to do anything about it?" he exploded and he had every right to be upset.

"Because I wanted you to know," I told him and I didn't like how small my voice sounded.

"Why now, huh? I mean, obviously Ma and Dad already know, so why wait until now to tell me?" he asked and I was getting a bit annoyed but I managed to keep my cool.

"Well first, Bear and Sean know too, and second, it almost slipped out when I was talking to my crew and I didn't want them to know before you did," I told him and maybe I said it wrong because it only served to piss him off more.

"So let me get this straight... you're only telling me this now because you wanna tell your friends? If not for that, would you even be here telling me this now?" he asked and my cool was lost.

"Okay, let's get over your self-righteous anger long enough to remember that I didn't have to tell you a damned thing," I said with much hostility.

"I had to tell you," he threw back with the same amount of hostility.

"You owed me that. I don't owe you anything. I told you this because I wanted you to know before anybody else did and I made you promise not to do anything because I didn't want you possibly throwing away your career just to exact some revenge against Kent," I explained although I couldn't keep my anger out of it.

There was a storm of emotions on his face as he looked at me for a bit before he started pacing back and forth and I let him work out all that anger that I knew was boiling in him. This had to be reminding him of what had happened to him and I'm sure it must've made him feel powerless to help me. I didn't need his help though because I was doing okay.

He finally stopped and looked at me again and there was such anger in those eyes but there was pain too and I hated myself for telling him then. He walked over to me and I don't know why but I flinched. He saw this and it stalled his step for a second and I saw even more anger in his eyes but now I also saw regret. He moved forward though and pulled me into a crushing hug that I returned as best as I could.

"Why did this have to happen to you?" Zane asked to no one in particular.

"It happened," I said and if it were possible, he crushed me even more.

"Dammit," he whispered and I could hear the emotion in his voice.

"Zane, I'm fine. Dr. Manning actually helped me a lot, when he wasn't annoying the hell out of me," I told him and I heard him sniffle.

"How did he annoy you?" he asked as he finally loosened up on the hug, but didn't release me.

"Just got really personal, that's all," I said happy that I was able to breathe again.

"Oh yeah, I can see where that would annoy you," he said and I didn't like the amusement I heard in his voice so I pulled away from him and sure enough he had an annoying amused looked on his face along with red watery eyes.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked. Deep down I knew, but I wanted to see if he'd say it.

"Well you don't like to talk," he said still with that amused smile.

"Are you crazy? I talk a lot," I said which was the truth, but then I remembered what Dr. Manning had said.

"Yeah you like to talk, you just don't like to talk about you," he said and while I knew what he was going to say since I'd heard it before, it still annoyed me.

"Yeah, whatever," I said before turning and heading back to the truck.

"Oh come on Trey. You know it's true, and maybe I have some part in that," he said and I whirled on him.

"Only some part?" I asked before I could stop myself.

"Okay, a big part. Look, I'm glad that you got help for the things that happened to you. I just wish I'd done it before things got too far," he said sounding sad by the time he was finished.

"Zane, you can still-," I started before he cut in.

"No, it's all good. I'm good," he said with a look in his eyes that said that maybe he wasn't, but I decided to leave it alone for the time being.

"Well, let's get you back to work so you can get back on those mean streets," I said trying to lighten the mood.

He nodded and started to head back for the passenger side, but he stopped and came back and gave me another crushing hug. It was quick though and he released me and headed again for the passenger side and hopped in.

I dropped Zane back off at the police station and headed home to get ready for Sean's barbeque. When I got home Bear and Calvin were in the backyard with Dad passing the football around. I went out and watched them. They invited me to join in but I declined. I was having a better time watching Bear's muscles flex when he threw the ball.

I knew when he figured this out because he started flexing a bit more. He then took off his shirt and I heard Dad snort as I guess he figured out that Bear was showing off for me. I wasn't mad at that, as I got to enjoy watching his upper body flex and contract and damn this man was stacked.

Dad noticed the tattoo up close and asked where he'd gotten it as we hadn't gotten around to that part during Mama's rant. Bear told him and told him that I'd made it. He looked impressed with it and apparently with me. He then told us confidentially that he had a tattoo as well. Calvin commented that he'd never seen a tattoo on him and I agreed. We'd seen almost all of his body except for the part covered by underwear and I didn't want to see that part.

He confirmed that he did indeed have it on his ass and that he'd gotten it on his 18th birthday on a dare from Taylor. I briefly wondered where he was and what he was doing as I hadn't heard Dad talk about him since I was outed. I wondered what, if anything he'd had to say about me.

Bear pulled me out of my thoughts by dragging me back into the house and up to my room. He asked what was wrong and I should have known he'd notice something. I told him and told him that I was worried that Taylor and Dad had had a fight about me and that's why Dad hadn't mentioned him in over a year and a half. He pulled me to him and after a couple of minutes I joked that he stunk of sweat as he still hadn't put his shirt back on.

He responded by rubbing himself all over me. I pushed him back and he broke out laughing at me. I grabbed some more clothes and just to even the score I shoved him down on my bed, straddled his waist, and kissed him with all I had. I made sure to grind my hips just to get him stirred up before I climbed off of him and he actually whimpered which I laughed at.

I got showered and changed again and since it was almost time to head over to Sean's, we left. We stopped by Bear's house so he could grab a quick shower and change too. I hung out with Steph while he did this as I didn't want to be near him while he was naked as that would start something up. Steph told me about her summer and that she was going to our old school for her junior year. I asked her to look out for my brother and Alex and she said that she didn't need to, but that she would.

Bear came down all clean and good looking and I again marveled at my good fortune at having him. He looked at me and winked with that grin of his and I just decided to give up trying to figure out the complexity that was Bear Davidson.

We left Bear's house and headed over to Sean's place. When we got there, everyone else was already. Our crew minus Miriam and Dale were of course there plus a few of Bear's old teammates. Jeremy also surprised me when he showed up. He told me that he lived not that far from the high school now and I knew the neighborhood which was nice. He then told me that his parents decided that they didn't want to be reminded of everything which they would be having to see our house everyday.

He thought their reasoning was stupid as I was the one that something had happened to and if I could take seeing them everyday then they shouldn't have had any problems. I told him to go easy on his parents but I don't think he was gonna listen.

Sean then announced that the first round of food was done as he was manning the grill. People piled outside and started getting some grub. I just stood back and took in everything. I'd had fun over the summer with Bear and Calvin, especially with Bear, but it was good being back home and seeing my family and friends. Things were about to change and we wouldn't be the same tight-knit group we were during the previous year so it was good spending time with them.

The party went on and Sean goofed around and so did Bear. Jessica entertained with stories, Justice and Veronica bickered with each other, Liberty and Christian sucked face, and Carter stood back and watched everything. It amazed me sometimes how much alike he and I were.

As the party continued on I made a decision and as soon as everyone was gone except my group of friends I told them the truth. I told them about the rape and I pushed aside a little nagging feeling I had that said that I had indeed only told Zane because I wanted to tell them.

They were rightly livid and the girls wanted to castrate Kent while Carter became very vocal about wanting to pay Kent a visit. Justice was pissed that Sean had known and hadn't told her. Bear was able to wrangle all the anger and focus them back on me.

I told them that I was fine and that I appreciated their murderous rage which cracked through their anger long enough to get a few smiles. I was then smothered in another girl hug before the guys joined in and it became a group hug. I relished it because even though the hug had a different meaning, I realized that this would probably be the last time we'd be able to all get together like this for a while.

Bear took me home and we made out for a few minutes before I got out and headed inside. The next day I spent time with my family just hanging out and socializing with them. Ivy came over and Zane came and brought Nicole, Alvis and Leo along and we had a big family get together. Mama fixed a big dinner and we sat around the big dining room table laughing about all the stuff that had happened over the years with me and my brothers.

Alvis joined in and added his own stories and joked that I'd had a crush on him at one point. Zane called him stupid, but that just spurned me on to start flirting with Alvis. I had him uncomfortable in about ten minutes and Zane was laughing at him and Leo was asking him if there was anything he wanted to tell us.

Later that night as I lay in my bed I got a text from Bear that said "miss you". I called him and he told me that he didn't wanna leave me. I told him that we'd see each other soon enough. We talked until after 3 in the morning when I told him to go to sleep so he would be able to get up in the morning. He told me he loved me and I told him the same and we ended the call.

I was awakened after 8 in the morning by somebody jumping on my bed. I opened my eyes still feeling tired to see Bear looking at me with a grin. He grabbed my face and tried to kiss me but I stopped him and ran out of the room to the bathroom to brush my teeth because I didn't want our last kiss in a while to be tainted by my morning breath.

When I got back he was chuckling at me. I closed and locked my door and tackled him on my bed. I grabbed his wrists and forced them down over his head. He looked shocked for a moment before he got a lustful grin on his face. I leaned down and attacked that face while not letting him get free. I entangled our fingers and he moaned into my mouth which in turn coaxed a moan out of me. We went at it for a few more minutes before we separated.

"I don't wanna go," he said in an emotion roughened voice as he looked up at me.

"Me either," I told him. I let go of his hands and he reached up and pulled me down on top of him and hugged me tightly to him.

"I wanna take you with me. I wanna take you home, pack you in my luggage and take you to school with me," he said and I chuckled sadly as did he.

"We'll see each other soon enough. We aren't that far away," I said even though I knew that we'd be way too busy to see each other the way I wanted.

"It's not the same," he said and I agreed. "Are you sure you don't want to ride up with us?" he asked referring to his parents going to see him off.

"No I'm not sure, but I think it's good that I don't. I won't be able to leave," I said and he hugged me tighter.

"I won't want you to leave either so maybe it's good that you don't go," he said but he hugged me even tighter. He was practically crushing me at this point but I wasn't gonna stop him.

"Bear."

"Hmm?"

"I love you, you love me, we're a happy fa-mi-ly," I sang and he laughed. We used to love that song and Barney when we were young.

"With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you, won't you say you love me too," he sang with me joining in at the last part.

We lay there for a little longer before Bear got a text from his dad telling him he needed to get back so they could get moving. I got up and walked him to the door. My parents hugged him and told him they couldn't wait to see him again. My sisters begged him not to leave but he told him he had to, but that he'd be back soon and that he'd get me to bring them up and see him when I could. Calvin told him to watch himself if he knew what was good for him. Bear promised he would.

We then went out to his truck and we kissed one last time. I couldn't wait for college to be over with so we could be together forever. I realized that any number of things could happen by the time we graduated, but I was gonna be hopeful that we'd make it to the finish line.

He then got into his truck and pulled away and I watched him drive away. I promised myself I wouldn't cry as it would be no time before we saw each other. I looked over across the street and saw the new neighbors. The wife and her daughters were apparently going somewhere. She looked up and saw me and waved with a friendly smile. I waved back, turned around and headed back into the house. When I got back to my room I saw that I had a new text. I opened it and it was Bear and it said "I love you, always".

To be continued....

Editor's Notes:

Welcome back one and all to the beginning of the second installment for Trey and Bear. College, how will there lives be being apart from each other? Only time will tell.

Calvin is taller then all the males in the inmediate family and seems very proud of that fact. Trey finally told Zane and of course Zane had the kind of reaction Trey expected him to have, but was able to calm him down. Will Zane really be okay or could something happen down the road with this reveal? Of course Trey told his circle of friends as well.

Speaking of Trey he went with an interesting look with his hair, wonder what that new look is really all about.

Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, you can reach Nicky at the email address above to let him know your thoughts, and you can reach me at jd.kaster1987@gmail.com.

Until next time Guys, (and ladies if you are reading this as well, I know there are some out there that read this stuff. Lol)
