"Don't make me regret it."
"You won't."
Josh was about to drive off when took one final look at Josh's face. He noticed something that he hadn't noticed before. His eyes. He had the bluest eyes that he had ever seen. Actually they were close to the ones that he saw ten years ago.
Again they pierced his soul, and again Darryl sensed Josh was the person that would whisk him from all his problems, but he was Kyle's. He couldn't do that to his friend. Darryl continued walking when out of nowhere somebody grabbed him from behind. Darryl tried to struggle. He was getting stronger, but he couldn't fight this guy off. He heard the guy's voice. It sounded so familiar.
"It's me, kid. Time to finish some unfinished business."
Chapter 8: Dreams Become Reality Again
The guy stabbed Darryl with a shot. It was some form of tranquilizer. In mere seconds, Darryl was out cold. The man dragged the body back to his van. The same van that he ten years ago. He chunked Darryl's body into the back and drove off. Where would they go?
In the meantime, JC drove home. He shouldn't have let Darryl go, but in way he had to. Kyle was sure going to kick his ass for doing it, but JC felt he could take it. He parked his car and ran to the apartment. He took his key and opened the door.
"Hey JC." Tyler
"Hey TJ." JC
"What took you so long?" Kyle
"I kinda ran into Darryl." JC
"Where is he?" Tyler
"Not here." JC
"What do you mean?" Tyler
"I let him walk home. He said he had to think." JC
"You did WHAT! He's been gone for three hours, and you find him, but let him go. I can't believe this" Kyle
"I had to." JC
"Why?" Kyle
"I couldn't treat him like a baby. He can decide what to do." JC
"I hate this. You better hope nothing else happens to him, or you're dead." Kyle
"I hope nothing does." JC
"Me too." Tyler
The man drove to an abandoned warehouse. No one was in sight. He dragged the boy's body inside. Now it was time to get his way with the kid, but first he had to be tied up. This kid was feisty, and he wouldn't be too happy when he woke up.
Darryl began to wake up off. The drug had worn off quickly. As he gained conscious, he felt the rope tightly secured around his body. He had been tied off. He tried to get free, but couldn't. The rope was too tight. Only one thing left to do.
"HEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!"
"No one can hear you. This warehouse is abandoned, but you are too dense to realize it."
"What do you want with me? I never did anything to you."
"Actually you did. I've been following your life since you were ten."
"Ten?"
"Again with the obtuse questions. You don't remember me."
"Not really."
"Let me remind you."
The man approaches Darryl with a gun.
"Let's see what you do with this thing. That's right. You shoot people with it. Ring any bells."
"You're the guy."
"You've got it. Charlie, tell the kid what he has won." [With a mocking announcer voice.] "Well Darryl, you have won the worst day of your life. Let's start with a phone call first."
"Why me?"
"So you want the story behind all of this. Let me start off with the fact that this is all your father's fault."
"My father?"
"Here we go. Your father came up to me one afternoon, ten years ago to be precise. He came up with a genius plan to ruin you. The best way to make you feel like a slut was to have you raped. That is where I come in. He paid me a thousand dollars to rape you. A lot of cash for someone poor. I took him up on the offer. He left your restraints loose the last couple of weeks, so you would think you could escape. I thought that was pretty clever. That night when you escaped, I followed you. I would have grabbed you sooner, but that person got to you first. In other words, my patience was slowly falling. When you finally got rid of him, which was a mistake on your behalf, I went in for the kill. You know the rest. Sorry for the shortness of the story, but I'm not really go at telling stories."
"But why are you following my life for so long?"
"Your father didn't pay me. I couldn't do anything about it. I shot you. Police were after me. This is my only means of revenge."
"This isn't revenge against my father."
"True, but I'm a determined man. I have to finish what I have started.
"You're going to rape me again."
"Well, duh."
"Not if I have anything to do with it."
"I thought that through to. Back to the phone call. You are going to call your friend Kyle and tell him that you are going to be out and won't be back until morning."
"Hell no."
"Hell yes. If you don't, remember the thing with Joey."
"Yeah? How did you know?"
"I was the guy. Who would have know I would get that lucky. I was just trying to get a good lay too."
"So, you call, or I let the news about Josh out."
"I don't care. He hasn't done much for me."
"Ah, true, but it would end the career of five people."
"I don't give a rats ass. I already hate one of them. They deserve their just desserts."
"Perhaps, what about Kyle? The media would destroy his private life. How could you live with that after all he has done for you?"
The guilt card had been played. Now it was time to see if Darryl would pick it up.
"Fuck! You are going to have to untie first, so I can make the call."
"I love being so dominant, but first some conditions. After I untie you, no funny business. In other words, don't think you can run off. I still have Josh's secret."
"Fine!"
"Then here is the phone."
The man untied Darryl to call Kyle. Darryl dialed the number.
"Hello."
"Hey Kyle."
"Darryl where have you been? Get your ass home."
"There is a problem with that."
"What do you mean problem? Are you hurt?"
"No it is nothing like that. Let's say I was "tied up" with things." [Darryl tried to put an emphasis on tied up, but now it was up to Kyle to see if he could pick up on it.]
"What things?"
"I hooked up with a guy. I think I am going to get lucky."
"That is nothing like you."
"I know. Are you in trouble."
"You could say that."
"Whatever you say. When you get home, I am going to kick your ass though."
"I don't think you will."
"Why do you say that?"
"I'm pretty sure about it."
Anger covered the man's face. If Kyle hadn't picked up on any of Darryl's clues, he had.
"I think it is time for me to go. I'll talk to you later."
"Ok, bye."
"Bye. Remember, don't wear the house."
The man grabbed the phone and hung up. That is enough, asshole. You think I am some stupid brute. Back to the rope for you.
"No! I'm really sorry."
"I don't think so, but first your clothes is going to have to go."
"No."
"Yep."
The man immediately ripped off the boy's clothes. Darryl tried to fight back, but he couldn't. The man overpowered him. He was too strong. Darryl was left in the nude. The humility of being gawked at the man that had and was going to rape him. His world came crashing to a halt again. Nothing good ever came to his life.
"Now onto the bed you bitch."
He grabbed Darryl and dragged him to the bed. Darryl continued to fight. This time he wouldn't give up. Not like last time. Darryl was flung onto the bed. The man grabbed the rope and tied him to the bedpost.
"Now to show you what a real man can do, faggot."
Back at Kyle's Apartment
"Who was that?" JC
"It was Darryl." Kyle
"I told you he would be ok. What time he is going to be home?" JC
"I think he is in trouble though." Kyle
"Why?" Tyler
"He kept using weird words. He even said something that didn't even make sense at the end." Kyle
"Like what?" JC
"He said he found a guy and was going to get lucky." Kyle
"Darryl's gay. I thought he had a girlfriend." [Shock expression] Tyler
"Somebody let the bag out again." JC
"Shut up. I'm not in the mood. Yes he is. Actually he is bi." Kyle
"Wished somebody had told me before." Tyler
"Why? You wouldn't have tried to be his friend then." Kyle
"No. It's just… never mind. We should try to figure out what is wrong with Darryl." Tyler
"Fine, but you are talking later." Kyle
"Whatever." Tyler
"Let's get back to the problem at hand. What did he say that seemed odd?" JC
"Besides the guy, he emphasized the word "tied up," he said I wouldn't kick his ass later, and at the end, he said something about don't wear the house." Kyle
"That is odd. He must be in some major deep shit if he thinks you won't kick his ass." Tyler
"But what kind of trouble is he in?" JC
"I know it involves a guy and sex. Could it be?" Kyle
"What?" Tyler
"Rape" Kyle
"He would fight back if he could. For goodness sakes anybody would." Tyler
"I'm not sure. This hasn't been the first time." Kyle
"He's been raped before? That would explain last night. He was reliving it again through his dream. Now it comes through reality." JC
"We've got to find him. You shouldn't have let him go." Kyle
"I'm really sorry." JC
"That's not going to work now. Darryl's in trouble." Kyle
"But that doesn't explain the last statement and the phone call. Why would the rapist let him call?" Tyler
"You're right, but who cares why or how he called. We've got to find him." Kyle
"But where?" JC
"He told you not to wear the house. What could that mean?" Tyler
"I have no clue." Kyle
"I don't know either. You're the mystery expert TJ. What do you think he meant?" JC
"I don't know. Why don't I know?" Tyler
"Don't worry Tyler." JC
"How come that won't be easy?" Tyler
Back to the Warehouse
The man slowly approached Darryl. The slowness just added pain to Darryl's body. If anything was going to happen, he wanted it to end as soon as possible, but it seemed his wish wouldn't occur. He wished that the guys could pick up on his clues and whisk him away from this, but the clues were blunt. Nobody in their right mind could figure out the last one. Don't wear the house. What the hell was that? Not a damn clue, but a statement to admit his stupidity.
The beast slowly climbed onto Darryl body. He began to lick Darryl's chest. The cruel sensation traveled throughout Darryl's body. He couldn't endure this feeling. It was good but bad at the same time. For goodness sakes, he was being raped. How could he feel something delightful with this scenario, and the man hasn't even gone the whole nine yards. What was he going to feel then? It was unbearable.
The rapist continued to lick Darryl's body. He began to suck the boy's nipple tenderly but hard. Darryl began to moan from all the pleasure. He had succumbed to the rape.
"I knew you would like it. What kind of horny twenty year old wouldn't? Now for the good stuff."
The man continued to suck Darryl's nipple. He twirled his tongue around it. He began to lick Darryl's washboard stomach. Anyone could see the hunger in the rapist's mind. He was after a piece of meat, and it wasn't pork. Darryl saw what was going to happen next. He couldn't allow the man degrade his body again. Not again. Darryl began to struggle again. He tried to fight the man by moving his body, but it wasn't working. It only hurt. The ropes would cut off circulation to his arm and leg as moved. Not only that, the man would push his weight to hold Darryl down.
"Stop that, faggot, or I will hurt your worst than this!"
"I can't think of anything else."
"How bout I let you live and kill Kyle. I'm pretty sure that is enough grief to destroy you inside and out."
Darryl couldn't do anything. He loved Kyle as a brother too much to have him hurt. He couldn't let another brother get hurt. It was too much pain the first time. He had to surrender to the rape once again.
"That's much better."
In one quick second, the rapist engulfed Darryl's penis. He began to suck Darryl's the rock hard thing. He was trying to drain Darryl of all of his energy. There was nothing to do, but moan. It was pleasure that any man or female would give in to. The man released the dick for a mere second. He went back at it by licking the purple head. He was a child with an ice cream cone. Precum began to leak. The rapist was excited by the boy's sexual impulse. He slurped up every ounce of the precum. It was time for the boy to meet the maximum climax in life. He grasped the boy's body and engulfed the penis again all the way down to the hilt. This caused Darryl to gasp for air even more. It was too much for Darryl. Darryl couldn't take anymore. He cummed into the rapist's mouth.
"So you're a minute man. Who care? It's my turn."
As the whole sex ordeal was occurring, Kyle was in hysterics. It was one thing to learn your friend had been raped after the actual event, but it is another to know at that time he was being raped. He felt useless. A friend that he brought out here for his birthday ends up being humiliated, purely destroyed, for goodness sakes, Darryl wasn't going to be the same. He promised to take care of Darryl. He was like his little brother, but this was not how a person would treat a little brother. All he could do was stand by and hope for the best, but he couldn't. He had to do something, but again he couldn't. He wasn't a brother. He wasn't a friend. He had become a helpless stranger in Darryl's life.
Josh watched his boyfriend, the man he loved dearly, tear himself apart. He couldn't endure the pain to witness his boyfriend's actions. He had caused all of this too. Josh's body was like a bottle being filled with water from the sink. The water was guilt. It kept going and wouldn't stop. Nobody would turn off the sink. Nobody was there to comfort him. Josh too would explode soon too.
Questions kept running around in Josh's mind. He couldn't think of answers for them. These questions kept attacking him. Tearing him up with every ounce of energy that Josh was emitting from feeling guilty. These questions brought Josh into his own world where he would talk to himself. His mind was going against him. His mind had become his worst enemy.
"If anything happens to him, I don't know what I would do."
"What the hell are you talking about? What IF? Something is happening to him right now. He is being raped by god know whom. All of this is your fault. You had to let him go. You couldn't drag him back to the apartment."
"He wanted space. I thought it would be best for him."
"Did you actually think it would be best for him? Did you have ulterior motives?"
"Why would I?"
"Did you think of how this would all affect everybody if you left him?"
"No."
"You had received a phone call prior to the whole kidnap of Darryl. You didn't think that maybe the man would try to attack somebody."
"I did."
"No you didn't."
"Yes I did. I was thinking of Kyle. The man said it had something that involved him."
"A lot of things involve Kyle. Did you keep that in mind?"
"What is with all the questions? Why do you keep messing with me? You're a part of me."
"All of these questions and you haven't answered the majority of them. That is a shame. Wait until Darryl comes back if he comes back. You better hope he doesn't die."
With that last word, Josh snapped out of his dream. Darryl could die. What was he going to do then? His relationship was going to end, Tyler may hate him, and basically his life would be over. He had to do something, but he was in the same boat as his boyfriend. He didn't know where to look. It was best to stay here and hope Darryl would call back. All there was left to do was comfort Kyle.
Tyler was lost in his own thoughts. He was confused as the whole day revealed something that he hadn't felt ever before. He learned that a person that he wanted to become friends with was bisexual. There was nothing wrong with that, but he hadn't really had a relationship with somebody that preferred the same gender until today. He just found out that his own brother was gay. How could he not trust him, but he had his reasons. They were the same as his. Why couldn't he confront his monster like Josh had. He had to stop thinking about this. The best way to escape your problems is not to think about them. He had to confront tonight's problem. He had to save Darryl, but like his brother and possible brother-in-law, he too couldn't do anything. This all seemed repetitive to him. He looked at his brother. He seemed lost. Who could blame him? He probably had guilt building up inside. It would burst him at any moment. He had to comfort him and tell him it would be ok. That he did not know all this would happen. He watched his brother stand up and go towards Kyle. They had each other to hold and be together. To watch out for each other's back. How much Tyler longed for a person, for a relationship, for his soul mate. But what he witnessed next surprised him.
Josh approached Kyle to provide a hug of warmth, trust, and love. Josh was about to embrace his lover, but be pushed by him.
"What are you trying to do?"
"Give you a hug."
"A hug? I don't need anything from you after all you have done."
"I didn't mean to."
"That's what you keep saying. I feel like I can't trust you."
"Why?"
"You let him go. All of this would have not happened if you didn't let him go."
"For the millionth time, I'm sorry.
"And for the millionth time, sorry is not going to bring him here."
"Everybody stop." [Tyler couldn't handle to witness this whole thing.] "Just stop! Darryl wouldn't want you guys to fight. He would make you guys forgive each other in a heart beat."
"How would you know?"
"Just trust me Kyle. Josh can't be to blame."
"I know, but I feel so helpless. I need to blame somebody and I can't blame the rapist. He is not around."
"Don't blame anybody. Take what you have now and keep it. I mean you got Josh. Don't make me beat you up because you decide to give him up. I will too. He's my brother."
"Sorry, Josh. I didn't mean to. Can I have that hug now?"
"Anything baby."
As the argument came to end, Darryl's problem was not going to end on a better note. The rapist caressed his buttocks. He was gentle but rough on his movement. He took his finger and shoved it up Darryl's crack. The pain made contact with Darryl's mind in light speed.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!"
"You think I would be gentle. You aren't going to get any lube. I like it nice and tight."
The pain was immense. Darryl definitely wasn't going to enjoy this. Pain launched itself throughout Darryl's body as the head tried to plunged itself into his ass. He couldn't take this. The rapist rammed Darryl's ass. His balls smacked against Darryl's body each second. His pace started off hard and increased faster. Darryl felt like he was tearing. He couldn't take it, but there wasn't anything he could do. He began to withdraw himself from reality. He thought about Kyle. How caring he was. How he looked after him. How he was another brother to him. He was snapped out of the small daydream when he felt something flow inside. The rapist was cumming inside of him. It felt so awful. Darryl couldn't enjoy this one bit. All he could feel was disgust. The pain of it all brought tears to his face. Tears of defeat and solitude in the eyes of this boy. How could he face his girlfriend? How could he face his Kyle? How could he tell Joe and Lee? His closest friends that he promised he would never keep anything from them. What would they think about him now? Why was he thinking about this now? He had just been raped. Darryl felt the man pull himself out. He watched the man dress himself as his own tears prickled his face. Why did he have to cry? He was strong.
He could handle this.
"I hope you had fun because I sure did."
"You are pathetic. How could you do this to me?"
"I already explained that."
"Time for me to leave."
"You're going to leave me like this."
"Sorry, I forgot. Tell Josh that I got part of what I wanted. He should know what I am talking about."
"Why should I?"
"You don't want to see Kyle hurt."
"Fine."
"Here's your phone. You can call Kyle to come and get you. By the way, I'm not done with you just yet. I will tell you to watch your back, but that wouldn't be fair. You should enjoy your life before it ends. I am going to finish what I started ten years ago. So you'll see me soon. Don't worry about yourself. I won't be after you. I'll be after somebody close to you. Now for you to guess who?"
Back at the Apartment
"I don't want to break this hug, but I need to ask you a question." Kyle
"What is it, honey?" JC
"You told me you had to tell me something back at Justin's." Kyle
"Yeah, JC, what did you have to say?" Tyler
"Oh yeah. I received a phone call from that guy that messed with Joey earlier." JC
"Oh man. What did he want, bro?" Tyler
"He said he wanted something that involved you Kyle. That is why I came here quickly. I was afraid he had come and hurt you." JC
"That's so sweet, but I'm fine." Kyle
"I know if only we knew about Darryl." JC
The phone began to ring. Kyle quickly ran to and answered it.
"Hello."
"Kyle, could you come and get me." [His voice was in pain.]
"Where?"
"The abandoned warehouse on Sixth Street."
"Alright. I'll be there. Are you ok?"
"No, but could you come alone, please."
(How could he say no, but Josh and Tyler were concerned about him. He couldn't though.) "Ok. I'll be there."
"Thanks, bro."
This was the first time he had heard Darryl call him brother. It brought a smile onto his face, but now it was time to save Darryl.
"Where's Darryl?" JC
"I'm going to get him." Kyle
"Can I come?" Tyler
"No, Tyler. He wanted only me." Kyle
"Ok." [His voice filled with pain that he was not wanted.] Tyler
(How could I do this to Tyler?) "Josh, can you stay with Tyler? I'll be back in a jiffy." Kyle
"Ok." JC
Kyle went off to the warehouse to get Darryl. He entered the building and saw Darryl lying there nude and tied up. His face was contorted with horror and humiliation. It was stained with tear and showed the image of a person's last minutes of life. Kyle ran to him and began to untie him.
"Are you ok?"
"I'll be fine."
"We've got to go to the hospital and call the police."
"NO!"
"What?! Why not?"
"It won't happen again. I know. Please, can't we leave it be."
"No, but I won't fight you right now."
Darryl got up and tried to get dress, but he was sore. He was still bleeding from the rape.
"Why didn't you want the guys to come?"
"I can't let them see me. I've already been humiliated and hurt today."
"You're going to have to confront them when we get back."
"I know."
They drove home. Not a single word was spoken. Perhaps it was for the best, or perhaps not. As they were driving back, Darryl had fallen asleep. Kyle parked the car.
"The poor guy. I didn't even get to give him his birthday gift. I'll have to do it tomorrow. That should cheer him up."
Kyle picked up Darryl and tried to wake him up, but he wouldn't budge. He slept harder than Josh. It was time to carry him.
"Man the kid has gotten heavier. He doesn't seem like the thin teenager that I met three years ago."
Josh and Tyler helped Kyle put Darryl into his room.
"Should we wake up Darryl?" Tyler
"Not right now, Tyler. We'll deal with it tomorrow." Kyle
"How about the rapist? Are we going to call the police?" Tyler
"Darryl doesn't want them involved, but we are going to take him to the hospital even if he doesn't like it." Kyle
"I agree with the hospital part, but I think we should call the police." Tyler
"I'm with you on this too Tyler." JC
"I agree with you guys, but Darryl doesn't want it. If we can't get him to do it, the police wouldn't be able to find the guy." Kyle
"Then I will get him to talk." Tyler
"Be careful, TJ. He's been hurt enough." Kyle
"I'm not going to do anything drastic, but if I find that I guy, I am going to kill him." Tyler
"I'll be there to back you up. Nobody hurts my friend and gets away with it." Kyle
This one event brought out more than each person wanted. Each person had confronted a little of themselves, but it was nothing compared to what Darryl had confronted. He caused so many problems for the group that maybe it was time to head home. He didn't want to end N Sync. He didn't want the group to worry about him. But mostly, he didn't want to become a burden to his brother and friend Kyle.
