Tel Pere, Tel Fils, Chapter 8

On the way to Fareway, Peter's face broke into a huge grin as he talked to the younger boys. Nate was driving, so Peter could turn around to see the expressions on their faces in the back seat.

"So, did she get you off? I'll bet you wore those sexy thongs that you had me buy for you. Are her tits as fantastic as they appeared to be in Drake's photos? Do you think she's had implants to make them that big?"

"Um, how would we know?" Paul blushed. "We didn't see the pictures.

"Look, little Bro, I've known you all your life and I can tell when you're fudging the truth. I'm not saying that you were abused, but I'll bet you got to see the real goods and play with them, and you probably got taken care of when she performed her massage therapy.

"Am I right?"

"Um, you won't tell, will you?"

"No. It's none of my business. Boobs don't turn me on like a nice firm chest with some dark hair on it," Peter laughed. "Isn't that right, Nate?"

"Fortunately, for me, it is!"

"What happened to you, Peter? "You didn't used to talk like that," Paul said, trying to take the focus off him.

"I've been freed! I'm an adult and I don't have Thelma to censor my mouth. I'm not going to say a lot of naughty words all the time, but I could if I wanted to. We were repressed for so long that I sometimes feel like I'm flying when I talk dirty."

"I think I know exactly how you feel, except that you were in that house four more years than I was."

"Yup. It was a long sentence! People commit serious crimes and get off easier than we did."

"At least we're getting off now!" Paul joked.

"Ooh, you're turning into a naughty boy too!" Peter laughed.

The boys didn't have a lot of time to think about sex or school or much of anything because the pre-Thanksgiving shopping was already beginning and there were lots of trips to people's cars with turkeys, hams, and rib roasts to lift into their vehicles.

During their breaks, Jamie and Paul would look at each other and grin. Paul said something about possibly practicing massage therapy before they went to bed that night. Jamie hoped that their private sessions would include wearing their G-strings and getting off. He was horny enough that he didn't care if some guys might think what they did was gay or not.

Being busy made the day pass quickly. Before they knew it, they were on the way home for a late supper.

"Do you think your dad believed us when we said we weren't molested?" Jamie asked as they were chatting in their room after dinner.

"I think, like Peter, he suspects that April may have done something intimate with us, but he's going to accept that we don't FEEL that we were abused. That is how we said it. If you've been listening to the talk in the locker room, most of the guys envy the kid who got the pictures of her hooters. He doesn't want to press charges, but his mother insists that they need to."

"Yeah, everyone says they'd love a big photo of them to hang on the wall in their bedroom. I'll bet a lot of cum would get spilled over those."

"I'm sure you're right. Let's hope she doesn't have to go to jail for doing what a lot of guys would love."

"So, are you up for a relaxing massage," Paul asked. "I wish we had something better than baby oil. It has a distinctive smell. We'll have to put down a couple of beach towels to keep it off the sheets and we'll have to shower thoroughly before we go to bed."

"We could probably ask Peter to order something online. He would do anything for his little Bro, Jamie said."

"Yeah, it goes both ways. I'm not surprised that we have the same father. We've always been close and always covered for one another. I'm lucky."

The two of them turned their backs when they stripped and donned their G-strings. When they faced each other again, the bulges in their skimpy attire grew quickly. There was no doubt about the level of their lust.

"I'll massage you first," Paul said. "You can pretend I'm April and do to me whatever you did to her."

He asked Jamie to lie face down on his bed and began rubbing his back. Since the headboard was in the way, he chose to straddle Jamie's waist and work from there. Of course, that put his bulge against Jamie's lower back. The contact made both hornier, if that were possible.

When Paul moved down to work on Jamie's feet and legs, he did as April had done, caressing every bit of exposed skin – even playing with the cleft between his buns. To Jamie, it felt every bit as good as it had in the therapy room.

Jamie decided to lick Paul's nipples like he'd done with April. Paul found it to be quite titillating (pun intended). He wanted to return the favor when Jamie took his turn massaging him.

Interestingly enough, the two teens were as excited as they had when their therapist had played with them. They began to wonder if they simply liked sex regardless of whom they had as a partner.

"Are you gonna finish me off like April did?" Paul asked when Jamie brought him close to eruption.

"You mean like sucking your dick?"

"Would it be too gay if we did it to each other at the same time?"

"I'd be good with that!

So, after wiping most of the baby oil off each other's cock, they tentatively took them into their mouths. Using their tongues like April had, they were soon rewarded for their efforts with a load of jizz that hadn't been produced by their own bodies. They realized that the taste was a bit different from their own. When they kissed, they enjoyed the blend.

After their shower, they pulled the twin beds together so that they could cuddle all night.

By Thanksgiving break, the sex scandal involving the high school counselor had become old news. There were other incidents which headlined the news, including a shooting between two groups of kids on the south side of town. "Groups" was what the authorities called them because no one wanted to admit that there were gangs in the community. Those only existed in big cities like Chicago. Here in the heartland, there were none.

For Thanksgiving, Kevin and Glenn treated the usual group, including Ella and Jamie, to dinner at the country club. They had to spend a certain amount on meals there whether they used them or not. This was a way not to waste their money and spare Ella a lot of work at the same time. Now that the teenagers had learned proper table manners, it was a relaxed occasion for everyone.

Having a few days off school was welcome too. Jamie spent almost every minute of it with Paul. Their close companionship made the adults wonder if this was a bromance of if they were becoming a couple, but no one asked.

The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas seemed shorter than usual. The teens in the house worked extra hours at the store because it was a heavy buying season and a couple of the baggers were going out of town the minute school vacation began.

For the adults, it was time to send Christmas greetings to various friends, family members, and clients. Although much of that is done electronically these days, there are a few which are sent the more traditional way through the US mail.

For many years, Kevin had continued to send a Christmas card to his parents despite receiving no response from them in return. He'd always held out hope that they would come to accept his orientation and want to reconnect. For the first 10 years or so, he'd included a short, cheery note. In more recent times, he'd settled for merely a card. This year, he decided to include a family photo. He wouldn't add an explanation. Perhaps a picture of his current life would pique someone's curiosity enough to write back or call. About three days later, he got a call from his mother. It came to his office since no one in his family had his mobile phone number.

"Birch, Shoemaker, and Price, attorneys at law," Kevin's secretary answered. "How may I help you?"

"This is Jaclyn Birch. I want to speak with my son immediately!"

"I'm sorry, Ms. Birch, but Kevin is in a meeting with a very important client and asked not to be disturbed. If you'll give me your number, I'll ask him to return his call when he's free."

"He's probably just avoiding my call. I know how these games are played. I was an executive secretary until I retired recently. Tell him I want to talk now!"

"You may assume whatever you like, but I'm not running interference for him. His client is his priority. Now, if you'll please give me your number, I'll relay your message."

Jaclyn grudgingly gave her contact information after she realized she'd met her match.

"A Ms. Jaclyn Birch called while you were with Dr. Martin. She was rather insistent about needing to speak with you."

"Betty, you're always gracious. I'm sure there are a few names you'd use for her if you weren't. I'm guessing she was rude and demanding. I suppose I'll have to return her call."

"Would you like me to place the call telling her that you're now available? It would put another layer of defense around you, and it would give me pleasure to do so."

"That would be appreciated. I'd like to keep this all as formal as possible. I knew that I might be poking a stick at a hornets' nest when I sent her a family photo. I'll be interested in seeing where this leads. It might be fun to tell her that the call may be recorded for quality assurance."

"I'll be pleased to do that if you like! I'll leave the room so you can talk in private."

"I'd rather you stayed and listened."

"I demand to know the meaning of the card you sent!" Jaclyn said the moment she had Kevin on the line.

"It's nice to hear from you too, Mother. I hope you're in good health."

"Don't be cute with me. I want to know who the two blond boys are. The older one is a spitting image of you when you were in high school, and the younger resembles you as well."

"Their names are under their pictures. In fact, all the members of my family are labeled including my husband and his nephew."

"Must you bring up your depraved lifestyle? If I have grandsons, I'm entitled to know about them."

"You aren't `entitled' to anything. Perhaps I'll see fit to tell you about them someday. It will require a lot of changes on your part if I do. This conversation is over. Please give my regards to my dear father. Goodbye."

"I'm glad I'm not in an adversarial situation with you, Counselor." Betty grinned. You don't take any crap."

"You and I would never be in that situation. You're gracious and you've never said a disparaging word about my `lifestyle.'"

"You know I love Glenn and Nate as well as you. I hope you'll bring your sons in to the office before the holidays so I can meet them too."

"Thanks! I'll do that. Perhaps I could bring the whole lot of them to the staff Christmas party for a while. If I did, I'd probably include my younger son's best bud. They're practically inseparable."

"So, you're not gonna let me meet my doting grandma, huh, Dad? "I feel deprived, and I'll bet Paul does too."

"Don't try to pull me into this, Peter," Paul insisted. "If she's even half as bad as Dad said she is, I don't want to be anywhere near her."

"She wouldn't approve of Peter, anyway, since he has a boyfriend," Kevin said. "My father and she cut me off the minute I came out. I had managed to stay in the closet until I got halfway through law school. Their knowing I'd fathered a child had a way of making them assume I was straight like they wanted. So, Peter was an asset even when I didn't know anything about him.

"I'm sorry how that sounds, Son. I'd give up the whole thing to be able to have watched you grow up."

"I'm happy you got your law degree and that our great grandpa took you into his practice, so you'd have a secure life. I'm even happier that Paul and I are part of it along with Uncle Glenn and Nate."

"Me too," Paul agreed.

Kevin did invite his whole family to the office party for part of it. Since Peter had brought the boys, they were free to leave whenever they wished. It turned out to be fun because Kevin had invited staff members to bring their children if they wanted to. Those with young ones had hired babysitters, but some with teens had brought them along.

The boys made some new social contacts and got better acquainted with the ones who went to the same high school. Having well-mannered teens in attendance brightened the affair, especially when they spontaneously sang some of the Christmas carols, they were rehearsing for the winter concert.

Christmas itself was mostly a quiet celebration at home. The extended clan did make it to the early Christmas Eve service, but they didn't do the country club scene for dinner.

Kevin and Glenn insisted on preparing their feast at home and inviting Ella and Jamie to celebrate with them. They felt that their housekeeper should have a vacation of sorts. She seemed tired, and they thought that having time off might be the best gift they could give her. Of course, she'd get paid as if she were working.

For dinner, the men chose Cornish Hens as their main dish and built their menu around them. There were side dishes of mashed potatoes, cornbread casserole, steamed veggies, and cranberry relish. The feast belied their claims of not being accomplished cooks. This fare was above what the country club sometimes served for special occasions.

Because this kind of meal didn't provide a lot of leftovers, they had a spiral cut ham to put in the oven the next day.

Having drawn names, there weren't a lot of presents under the tree. But each of the teens had a stocking hanging from the mantel with a crisp hundred-dollar bill inside along with some fruit and candy – all from Santa, of course.

When the predicted blizzard started to move in around 8:00 on Christmas evening, Ella was particularly thankful that her employers had invited Jamison and her to stay over. She would have dreaded driving even the few blocks to her home. This house was cozy and well decorated for the season. It felt comfortable and welcoming. She would sleep well tonight.

Most everyone was home on December 26th for a major part of the day. Glenn was the exception. Some of his clients wanted to do a bit of last-minute trading before the new year. He had to be in the office to field questions about which stocks should be sold at a loss to avoid paying too many taxes on the capital gains investors had made on others which had greatly increased in value.

The boys had swimming practice at 9:00 a.m. instead of 6:30 as they would have had if school were in session, but after that, they were free for most of the day.

Kevin didn't have any pressing cases, and the boys weren't needed at the store because very few people would be shopping for groceries until a couple of days before New Year's Eve.

Ella was busy straightening up the house. Her main task in the afternoon was supervising the boys who had volunteered to take down the holiday decorations.

In the midst of the job, Ella sat down on the sofa because she felt suddenly tired. After a couple of minutes, she passed out. Kevin called for an ambulance, but Ella regained consciousness before it arrived. She assured everyone that she was fine before passing out again.

Kevin drove Jamie to the hospital and Paul went along, of course. The two older teens stayed home to finish packing up the decorations. They loved Ella but felt that their presence would just make the crowd too large, and the Christmas things needed to be dealt with in any case. Jamie needed to be there for sure, and Paul would be there for him.

After about an hour in the emergency room, a doctor came out to speak with Kevin and the boys.

"Ms. Carney is doing well. She has arrythmia, but we've given her medicine to stabilize her heart rate. Her prognosis is good. However, the ultimate fix will be a pacemaker. She's insisting that she needs to go home and do her job. We strongly advise keeping her here for a day or two so we can monitor her. We would be able to act immediately if she should have another episode."

"I agree that it would be best for her to stay," Kevin agreed. "We'll get along okay without her, and I will rest easier knowing there's immediate help if her heart goes out of rhythm again. Please let me discuss it with her. I think she'll listen to me."

Kevin managed to convince Ella to remain in the hospital until the doctor felt she could leave. He reminded her that she needed to take care of herself, so she'd be there for Jamison. Jamie also begged her to remain there until she was in good condition. She was the only living relative he knew, and he had seen the crash cart in the hall near her room. He didn't mention that fact to her because he didn't want to scare her.

Kevin had kept Glenn and the older boys updated by text messages, so he wasn't surprised that everything was in ship-shape when Jamie, Paul, and he arrived home. Not only were the decorations stored away, but someone had dusted and vacuumed. Glenn was busy preparing the dinner Ella had planned to serve.

The following day, it was Glenn who took the boys to visit Ella. Kevin had another appointment with Dr. Martin which dealt with a couple who were trying to sue him for malpractice. Kevin was certain that he could prove that the woman was faking her paralysis, and he had his detective tailing them when they left the house. So far, there was no proof.

Kevin was sending the private investigator and his wife on the same Caribbean cruise the plaintiffs were taking so that he could continue to shadow them. Dr. Martin agreed that it was a small price to pay to preserve his reputation. His gamble would pay off in a few months when the case came to trial.

While at the hospital, Glenn did his best to cheer Ella up. When the boys got antsy and wanted a change of scenery, he sent them to the cafeteria with and $20 bill to have a snack.

The minute they were out of earshot, Ella told Glenn what was worrying her the most.

"If I don't make it through this, I don't know what will happen to Jamison. I have no way of knowing whether his father is alive, and I'm not sure my grandson would want to live with him if he is. In fact, I'm relatively certain he would not. I hate the idea of a foster family or a group home. You know how Peter's adoptive family treated him!"

"Ella, please don't stress over it. Kevin and I would take him in a heartbeat. In fact, if it will ease your mind, I can have someone in the law firm draw up a new form making you and me co-guardians. I think it would be best if it were in my name and not Kevin's just in case Jamison and Paul would someday want to be partners. I also believe we should have Eldon Price take care of it. If Kevin were to do it, it might look like I had put pressure on him since he is my spouse."

"That's a wonderful solution! I would leave everything in my will to you men for his keep and education."

"No, you should leave everything to him. It wouldn't be a hardship on us to raise another son."

"Oh, Glenn, I'll rest a lot easier when it's taken care of. I'll be glad to pay Mr. Price whatever he charges."

"Don't worry about that. Kevin and he do those kinds of things for each other pro bono."
