Tales From Kingswood
Chapter 2 – by Matt
"Where are we going?" Danny asked nervously as the taller boy led him out of the Dining Hall. He could still hear other names being called out as they walked away. He worried briefly about David, knowing how timid the small boy had been since they met.
"Somewhere private!" Joseph replied with a polite smile as they headed for the stairs.
Danny found himself suddenly gripped by nervousness. Ever since the day of his final interview, the day he had met Joseph, the teen had been on his mind constantly. That day had given Danny his new favourite hobby and barely a day had passed since that he hadn't jerked himself off at least once. He wasn't just grateful to the older boy for teaching him about it, Joseph had also become a permanent fixture in Danny's fantasies while he did it.
Sometimes he simply replayed the events of that day in his head as he played with himself. Other times he played it out slightly differently, sometimes imagining Joseph had said yes to letting him touch. He would almost always reach his climax at the exact same time he pictured Joseph reaching his. Joseph's cum had become almost as much of an obsession for the boy as Joseph himself had. He kept imagining it, hoping every time he reached orgasm that he would shoot a little himself, but alas that was not to be.
"Wh... why?" Danny stuttered with a quiet gulp.
Joseph looked to the boy walking beside him. "For privacy. Duh!"
"Okay," Danny said softly, giving a gentle nod as he continued up.
"You look so fucking nervous!" Joseph said with a grin. He threw his arm round the boy's shoulders, pulling slightly against him as his forearm dangled down over his chest. "Relax, mate. We're only going to talk!"
"Oh," Danny said, sounding a lot more disappointed than he meant to, blushing immediately.
"Why, what did you think we were doing?" Joseph asked, clearly knowing what the younger boy was thinking but playing dumb as he dropped his arm back down to his side. "In here," Joseph instructed as they approached a door down the hall.
Danny stepped inside and saw that the door led to another short hallway with several doors leading off into rooms marked as 'Private Study Rooms' "Oh... erm... nothing," he replied quietly, suddenly feeling like a heavy weight had just been dropped on his chest.
"I can't keep this up!" Joseph said with a grin as he shut the door behind them, nodding to another Year 10 boy who had just come up the stairs with his new protege. "I know exactly what you were thinking. I haven't forgotten!"
Bizarrely, Joseph's comment actually made him feel even more nervous. Thinking about him had been exciting, but just a fantasy. Thinking he had forgotten or backed out of his promise had felt disappointing, but being here with him, knowing he remembered, knowing he was thinking of it too... that suddenly made it all feel exceptionally real.
Joseph looked round at the numbers on the study room doors and as he spotted the one he wanted, led Danny inside, the light flickering on as it sensed motion in the room.
The study room looked quite nice, with a large desk and comfortable chair on one side, set up with basic study equipment, a lamp and space in the middle for a laptop. On the other side, was a large sofa which Joseph jumped straight onto.
"Grab a seat!" the teen said, patting the space beside him. "Oh my God, I wonder if I looked this nervous on my first day!" Joseph said with a chuckle, shaking his head at the boy. "It's okay, we really are just going to talk!"
"Okay," Danny said with a nod, sitting down as directed.
"So... you've had the tour. Whadda you think?" the mentor asked politely.
"It's big!" Danny said, slightly overwhelmed by all he had seen.
Joseph chuckled and nodded. He still remembered feeling like that when he first arrived at Kingswood. "Yeah, don't worry, it all starts feeling a lot smaller once you've been here for a while. Anyway, let's get the formal stuff outta the way first. Chuck me your phone!"
Danny grabbed his phone out and went to hand it over, but hesitated, pulling it back. "What for?"
"For the Kingswood app. You've gotta have it," Joseph said bluntly. He reached out and added, "Unlock it. Don't worry, I'm not gonna be looking at any of your naughty stuff!"
"I don't... have naughty stuff!" Danny lied, realising how entirely unconvincing he was before he'd even finished saying it. He unlocked his phone anyway and handed it over, watching nervously as Joseph tapped away for several seconds, leaning over to make sure the older boy really wasn't looking at anything embarrassing.
"There ya go, it's just restarting!" Joseph said as he handed it back.
Danny looked down and frowned as the device came back on. The screen looked different. Instead of his usual home screen, it showed a plain black screen with the Kingswood school logo. He tapped the home button a few times, but the app didn't seem to close.
"Oh, you don't know then..." Joseph said cryptically. "Yeah, the Kingswood app pretty much replaces your whole operating system, at least while you're here anyway. It's location locked, so as long as you're on school property, the app is all you'll have access to on there!"
"What the hell!" Danny declared in distress. "Well undo it!"
"Sorry bud, no can do. Like I said, it's mandatory. Your parents signed up for it, it's in the Kingswood contract," Joseph explained. "Don't worry though, it has all the essentials. You can still call and text your family, as well as any friends your parents chose to allow on your list. Although contact with home IS limited!"
"Limited how?" Danny asked, already feeling the stress of losing access to all his usual contacts, apps and games.
"One call a week. A few texts a day, that sorta thing. I know it sounds harsh..."
"Just a bit!" Danny snapped.
"But it's for the best," Joseph went on. "Coming here is a big change and it takes a lot of getting used to, but if you can keep relying on mummy and daddy to be on the phone every time you get scared, well you'll never really settle in."
Danny sighed heavily, scowling. He could understand the logic, but that didn't make it any less scary or annoying.
"But your whole school life is on the app too. Your class schedule's on there, maps to help you navigate while you get used to the place, your activities schedule, chat functions so you can talk to any student or teacher instantly. There's... erm... other things on there too," Joseph said, grinning cryptically before shrugging. "But you don't need to worry about some of them til you're older."
Danny was unsure what the older boy meant, assuming it was just boring extra stuff for when he was onto GCSEs and A-Levels. "So everyone's phone'll be like this?" he asked, feeling at least a little relieved that he wasn't the only one who was going to be cut off from the outside world.
Joseph spent some time showing Danny how to use the app, explaining how it worked for school-related things like booking study rooms, accessing the school's digital library and managing homework and projects, but then going into the more fun things like getting a slot on the pool table or games consoles in the Common Room and signing up for activities and events.
By the time they were done, Danny had almost forgiven the fact that it had taken the rest of his phone functions away.
As Danny sat fiddling with the phone, Joseph sat back in his seat, watching the boy happily. In many ways, the teen felt like he had barely been at the school for five minutes, but being there now, starting his fourth year with his own sweet little Year 7 boy to look after he felt like a proper grown-up. Of course, his own mentor, who would just be entering Year 13, would be back in a few days and he would doubtlessly feel like a kid again in his presence, but for now, Joseph was the adult in the room.
"You're looking a bit more relaxed now. How you feeling?" Joseph asked softly.
Danny slipped his phone into his pocket and sat back too, giving the older boy a quick shrug. "Better I s'pose."
"Good!" Joseph said with a nod. He could remember being in Danny's place and neither of the things he had to tell the boy were likely to be well received. He himself had flipped out over one of them, so he decided to start with the easier of the two. "So... you probably noticed that we... did what we did at your interview day and now I'm your mentor." he said, cautiously.
"Yeah, it's pretty cool," Danny said with a polite smile.
"There's kind of a reason for that," Joseph said, trying to gauge the boy's reaction already. "Each of us attends one day of interviews and we kinda get to pick who we want to come to the school, and whoever we pick, we become the mentor for."
"And you picked me?" Danny asked in surprise.
Joseph nodded. "Yeah. I mean, we couldn't just pick whoever we want. By the time you see us, you've already passed all the tests the school has so it's like picking from a small list. That last day is about us finding.... boys with the right... erm... attitude!"
Danny just looked a little lost.
Joseph sighed, wondering if he had been quite so clueless at Danny's age. "We're there to test your.... willingness to... play with others!"
"Oh, so... like, teamwork?" Danny asked.
"No!" Joseph said, clearly frustrated. He was going to have to be very direct. "Look, Danny, Kingswood isn't like other schools. There's meant to be this whole speech I give you about how the founders of the school believed that a good sex life is part of a good education and that being open and exploring stuff is meant to help you grow into a more rounded adult, but honestly I can't remember it and it's long and boring anyway. So I'm gonna be really blunt about it!"
"O.... okay," Danny stuttered. 'Sex life?' he thought to himself, unsure whether to be excited or scared.
"Stuff happens at this school. Sex stuff and naked stuff and gay stuff. Okay? It happens a lot. Some of it's bad, but most of it's good, but I chose you because I think you'll be... I dunno, into it or... or open to it." Joseph explained.
"So... the things with us. You were... told to do that? It wasn't... cos you like me?" Danny asked, looking a little upset, his fantasy taking a sudden hit.
Joseph frowned slightly. "I was worried you'd think that. But honestly, it wasn't just a job to me. I had fun with you and when I found out you were coming here, I was really happy! You were absolutely my number one choice, I never even fooled around with the others because I just knew you were... ya know, right!"
"Really?" Danny asked, smiling happily, feeling his fantasy was a little more justified now.
"Yeah," Joseph said sincerely with a nod. "And I was scared of telling you this stuff. I mean, partly cos I thought you'd be scared about the bad stuff but I thought you might feel like I'd... I dunno... deceived you!"
Danny shrugged. "Look, if jerking off with you is why I'm here, I can live with that I suppose," he said with a bemused smile.
"Woah!" Joseph said abruptly. "No, don't think that. You're here cos you're smart and capable. You don't get to that final stage without being one of the best, the sex test... I shouldn't really call it that, but it's just the icing on top. You're here cos of you, not your cock! Okay?"
"Okay," Danny replied with a gentle nod, but then frowned a little. "What... was the bad stuff you mentioned then?"
"Yeah, that's the other bit I have to tell you about... that you might not like," Joseph said gingerly. "Sometimes the sex stuff kinda... crosses over into other things."
"Like what?" Danny asked, eyes lighting up and his head racing with sudden ideas.
"Oh, erm.. probably not stuff you should be excited about. Things like... well... discipline! They're pretty relaxed in a lot of ways, but if you find yourself in detention or.... getting some other punishment, you might find yourself doing something more... erm... unusual than you'd expect in any other school."
Danny was torn. It sounded pretty scary, but at the same time his cock was inexplicably hard. "Unusual how?" he asked nervously.
"Okay, well I've only had detention once and they made me..." Joseph started, pausing to take a deep breath. The memory was not one he recalled fondly. "They had me outside scrubbing the front steps!"
"Oh," Danny said, surprised. That didn't sound fun, but he expected worse from the way Joseph had built it up.
"Naked!" Joseph added, blushing profusely.
"What?" Danny asked, eyes wide, hand unconsciously dropping into his lap and pawing gently at his small erection. "S... seriously? They can do that?"
Joseph nodded. "Kingswood contract!" he said, repeating himself from earlier. "They retain the right to punish you by any means appropriate. That includes public humiliation! They even let other students decide your punishment sometimes and that can be when it gets really embarrassing!"
"Damn!" Danny said, shaking his head, hand still playing with himself.
As his blushing died down, Joseph smiled again. Danny hadn't just taken the news well, he almost seemed to be revelling in it. Joseph had flipped out completely when his mentor told him some of the other punishments he had witnessed, almost demanding to be sent home. He found himself feeling immensely glad to have chosen the adorable blonde boy to be his protege.
"Wow, you're gonna be such a fucking pervert when you grow up, I can tell!" Joseph said with a chuckle.
Danny blushed at the comment, mainly as he realised he was playing with himself, quickly pulling his hand away.
"So you're picturing it then!" Joseph said, nodding to the boy's crotch. "Are you... thinking about being made to do that stuff... or seeing someone else have to do it?"
Danny's blushing intensified. "Kinda... picturing you actually! Ya know.... naked and... like, being laughed at by everyone!"
"Damn, forget future pervert, you're already there!" Joseph said, shaking his head in amused disbelief.
Danny giggled at the comment. He didn't really understand what it meant, but Joseph seemed to like it, so he was okay with it. "What else do they do then?" he asked. He definitely found the thought of being punished like Joseph had been a terrifying thought, but at the same time he couldn't help imagining it.
Joseph shook his head. "Nope, no spoilers!" he said sternly. "You'll just have to wait and see!"
"Aww, you're no fun!" Danny pouted for a moment, then smiled again and asked nervously, "So... did you mean what you said the first time we met? That you'd let... me.... touch?"
Joseph nodded. "Sure," he said casually. "You wanna do it now?"
Danny's whole face lit up as he nodded eagerly.
Joseph reached down and unzipped his trousers, then reached in and pulled out his cock. He was only semi-hard, but just let it sit there as he looked to Danny. "Go ahead then!"
Danny gulped a little, his months-long fantasy finally coming true. As he started to reach out for it with his right hand, his left found its way back into his own lap.
"Nuh-uh!" Joseph said, reaching out and smacking Danny's left hand away. "If you're playing with mine, you focus on mine. Got it?"
Danny just nodded. He wanted to play with himself so much, but playing with Joseph was definitely the priority. His fingers touched the other boy's cock delicately, almost timidly, slowly wrapping his fingers around the shaft.
Joseph let out a low, happy moan as he felt his cock immediately begin to stiffen in the younger boy's grasp.
"Wow," Danny gasped as the older boy's cock quickly grew to full firmness at six inches. While he was used to playing with his own tiny cock with just one finger and thumb, he remembered how Joseph had handled himself at the selection day and began to stroke it with his full fist.
"Enjoying that?" Joseph asked, looking at the boy who was clearly transfixed by the cock.
"Yeah," Danny replied dreamily. "Can I... make it cum?" he asked hopefully.
"You can," Joseph replied, then gently pushed the boy's hand away. "Just... not yet!"
"What? Why not?" Danny asked, clearly disappointed to have to stop so soon, reluctantly tearing his gaze from Joseph's cock to look him in the eye.
"Because we still have some stuff to talk about and we don't have long," Joseph explained. "You've got to get back to your dorm and get to know the others!"
"I'd rather play with you!" Danny insisted.
Joseph chuckled, amused by the boy's obvious sexual curiosity. "I know. And you will! We've got some time together again tomorrow, you can make me cum then, but the first night in your dorm is too important to put off for a bit of fun!" Joseph explained.
Danny shrugged. "Why?"
Joseph slipped his cock back into his trousers and zipped up as he explained, "They're the most important people to you now. You're gonna be spending most of your life with those seven for the next three years, and even longer with some of them! How it starts off now is SO important."
"Yeah, I guess," Danny said with a gentle nod.
"It is!" Joseph insisted. "Dorms go one of three ways. Either you never really connect and just kind of... exist in the same space as them, which is boring and kinda lonely. You fall out and spend seven years in this place totally miserable. Or you get on, become like family and actually enjoy being around each other. There's never a middle ground on this, it always ends up one of those ways. So which one do you want?"
Danny rolled his eyes and sighed. "The last one, obviously!"
"Exactly, so let's talk strategy!" Joseph said confidently. He had gotten this same advice from his mentor on his first day and it had resulted in him making the best friends he could have ever hoped for. Now he just wanted desperately for his new protege to do the same.
"You didn't have to wait for me, ya know," Rob said as he approached Josh. He was just finishing up with his mentor, Sam, in the Common Room when Josh spotted him and lingered nearby.
"I know," Josh said with a smile, "but I figured if I walk back with someone else, it might look like I've actually got mates!"
"You have got mates!" Rob insisted. When Josh smiled but looked a little confused he added, "Me! We go way back, remember, all the way back to our very first day here!"
"This IS our first day here," Josh said, shaking his head with a bemused grin.
"Exactly, so we've been friends for our entire time here. See... old mates!" Rob explained as the two lingered near the balustrade overlooking the atrium below.
"You're a weird one," Josh said, one eyebrow raised. He grinned and added, "I can see why we've been friends for so long!"
While the two boys were laughing, Rob's mentor Sam walked out, heading straight for the stairs up to his floor. He smiled at Rob, but then saw the boy stood with him. "Oh hey, Josh, right? Josh Williams?"
Josh frowned, wondering how this absolute stranger knew his name already. "Erm... yeah..." he said cautiously.
"Oh, sorry," the fourteen-year-old said with a chuckle. "Didn't mean to freak you out. I just... your brother, Mark, he's my mentor. He said you were coming here this year and you look so much alike. I figured it had to be you!"
"Oh," Josh said, slightly glum for a moment before he smiled again. "Yeah, so you're Sam. Mark's mentioned you."
"You know my buddy here then?" Sam asked, nudging Rob on the shoulder.
"Yeah, we go way back!" Josh said, the two boys laughing again.
"Okay," Sam said, not quite getting the joke. "Anyway, see ya around!" He rushed off to the stairs leaving the two boys alone again.
Rob looked to Josh and asked, "So your brother goes here too?"
"Brothers!" Josh corrected Rob as they began slowly sauntering along towards the dorm when they saw Mr Trent below ushering other boys up the stairs. "Mark's seventeen, just starting Year 13 and Ryan's sixteen, just starting Year 12."
"That's so cool," Rob said excitedly. "I'm gonna miss my brother."
"Sounds like you have a very different relationship with your brothers than I do with mine," Josh said, frowning a little.
"You don't get on then?" Rob asked as they reached the door to 1.01, which had been left open.
"Meh," Josh said with a shrug. "I dunno," he said dismissively.
A quick glance down the dorm and Rob could see three of the boys on their bunks, one sat at a desk and the other two on the sofas, so with everyone in, he shut the door behind him. He wanted to question Josh more about his brothers, but it seemed clear he didn't want to talk about it and despite their joking, Rob didn't feel he knew Josh well enough to push the subject.
A couple of minutes later, there was a knock at the door, which swung open to reveal Mr Trent standing there. He visibly did a quick count of the occupants and, seeing they were all there, smiled. "Great, nice to see I've got one dorm that can listen to instructions!" he said jovially. "Anyway, you've got a couple of hours until lights out and the plan is for you to get to know each other a bit better. If you check the app, I've set up a group chat for all of you, with me included, so if you need anything just drop a message in there. I also popped in a link to some ice-breaker games and exercises you might want to try to... ya know... get things going."
The boys called out a range of thank yous and acknowledgements to Mr Trent, who disappeared back out, immediately shouting at someone down the corridor to get to their dorm before the door closed.
Awkward silence filled the dorm for several moments. Nothing makes getting to know people more awkward than trying to force it, and that was exactly what was happening now.
Thinking back to the things he had chatted about with Joseph, Daniel jumped down from his bunk and suggested, "Why don't we all grab a seat on the sofas." There was a general murmur of agreement, but nobody seemed in any particular rush, so Daniel added, in his best imitation of Mr Trent. "Let's do some ice-breakers and exercises!" The impersonation triggered a wave of laughs, which seemed to spur the boys on. Moments later, the four sofas were full.
As they sat there, all eyes turned to Daniel who felt suddenly on-the-spot. Being the centre of attention was not something he was at all used to, but he pushed through it, doing his best to follow Joseph's advice. "So can we all agree we are NOT looking at that link Mr Trent sent?" he asked, grinning.
"Agreed!" a couple of others called out, the rest all nodding or laughing.
"Buuuuut..." Daniel went on. "It would be cool to get to know you all. I mean, I got told we keep the same room-mates right though Years 8 and 9, so if I'm stuck with you all for 3 years. I'd rather know up front who's a dick. I don't like surprises!" He knew the comment could easily be taken as a little offensive by the others, but hoped the laugh from his mockery of Mr Trent still carried some good will.
"I can save you time. He's the dick!" one of the boys Daniel didn't know yet said, pointing to the one he had heard called Michael earlier.
"So funny I forgot to laugh," Michael said back, straight-faced, even while the other boys giggled at the insult.
"Well, this was my idea so I'll go first," Daniel said, standing up. Everyone quietened and turned their full attention to him. "So... erm... okay. My name's Daniel Davies, but I prefer Dan. I live in Norfolk with my parents and my big sister Bethany. I'm eleven... but I guess we all are. I really like football and swimming. I'm great at Maths but pretty average at most other subjects. I suck at video games. I tried Fortnite and... yeah, I definitely suck. I think that's it, erm... oh yeah, when I grow up I wanna work for the police." he looked round at the group, then sat back down. "Who's next?" he asked. As he glanced to his side at David, the smaller boy looked terrified and shook his head slightly, so Daniel turned to the other side and said, "Why don't you go!"
It was Rob sat beside him, so the other boy nodded and stood up. "Okay, well my name's Robert, but I prefer Rob, I only get called Robert when I'm in trouble," he joked, getting a murmur of agreement from the other boys. "I live near Southampton with my parents and my little brother, Milo. He's eight. He's like my best friend and I kinda miss him already." He paused, looking a little downhearted, but quickly smiled again as he said, "Oh yeah, I love English and Science, but I suck at History cos I can never remember dates. Rugby is about the only sport care about and I really enjoy reading."
"Nerd!" Josh taunted from beside him, but quickly laughed so it was obvious he was just playing.
Rob chuckled but still punched Josh's leg gently as he sat back down beside him.
"Well I do NOT like reading!" Josh said, jumping up.
"Yeah, he just looks at the pictures!" Rob teased, making everyone else laugh.
Josh's eyes narrowed as he glared down at Rob, but it only lasted a second before he laughed too. "Okay, I deserve that! Anyway, I'm Josh Williams and I come from Hackney," he said proudly, though his accent had already given that away. "I've just got me Mum at home, but I have two big brothers also at Kingswood. Ryan's in Year 12 and Mark's in Year 13. I love rugby and football, total Arsenal fan and anyone who supports any other team is dead to me! Like I said, not much of a reader, but when you're as charming as me, you find other ways to get by!" He flashed a cheesy grin at the group.
"Boo!" one of the other boys called out playfully as Rob grabbed the back of Josh's shirt and pulled him back down onto the sofa.
Continuing round, Michael was next. "Alright, I'm Mikey, I'm eleven and I'm from Newcastle." Again the accent gave it away as soon as he spoke. With strawberry-blonde hair and blue eyes, he was slightly on the short side, not quite as small as David, but certainly a little below average and while he looked to be on the slim side, it was clear he was quite an active young man. "I love sports, pretty much all of them, especially football. Newcastle United are clearly the greatest team in history and any other team just plain sucks!" he said, deliberately taunting Josh. He went on before an argument could break out. "I've got two little sisters and a little brother, all under four, which is exactly as fun as it sounds, so I'm so glad to be here as it means I might actually get a proper night's sleep for once!" He sat down and nudged the boy next to him and called out, "Next!"
The next boy stood up, looking almost as scared as David had. "I'm... Nicholas... Nick... I guess," he said, barely louder than a whisper. He was a tall, gangly boy, who could have passed for much older were it not for his youthful features. His hair was wavy and light brown, hanging down over half of his face, his one visible eye avoiding looking directly at anyone. "I s'pose I'm pretty good at Geography and English... erm... Music too, as I play the guitar and I'd like to be a teacher some day. I don't have any brothers or sisters." He sat back down quickly, visibly nervous, but got an encouraging elbow to his side from Mikey.
The boy beside him on the next sofa was the one who had called Mikey a dick earlier. Beyond that, Daniel knew nothing about him. He was a little on the chubby side, with dark-brown, near-black hair swept to one side, with eyes of brownish-green behind thin-rimmed glasses, a mischievous smile spread across his face. He stood up and announced. "So I'm James Taylor," he said with an undeniable Welsh accent. "I'm from Prestatyn in Wales. I'm going to be a Physicist when I grow up, so I don't really have time for Sports and stuff like that. I'm an only-child too, so being round you lot is gonna take some getting used to!"
While James was talking, Daniel found his eye drawn to the boy sat beside him. He was the last one in the dorm whose name he didn't know, but he found himself strangely curious. From what he had seen, this boy had the bunk beside his, meaning he would be sleeping just a few feet away from him for the next year of his life. So far, most of the others seemed pretty nice, so the odds were in his favour that the last one was too, but he found himself worrying he would get stuck with the annoying one.
He didn't look annoying though, in fact he looked... perfect! While not as tall as the gangly Nick, he was definitely one of the tallest in the dorm. He looked fairly well-built too, not chubby like James or David, just like he was beginning to develop and fill out well. His hair was chocolate-brown, with eyes to match. Daniel hadn't even realised he was staring until the boy looked back at him, winked and smiled.
Daniel blushed and stared at the ground as James sat and the other boy stood. "Hi everyone," he said, his voice light, cheerful and undeniably Irish. "I'm Chris and I'm here all the way from sunny Dublin. Big fan o' Rugby, I'll be happy to show you English lads how to play properly some time!" he said with a cheeky grin. "When I'm not on the Rugby pitch, I love stuff like Art or Drama. I play a couple of instruments, so I love music too. When I grow up, I'd love to do something... creative, which probably means I'll just end up unemployed!" That got a laugh from the others. "And being here with all of yous feels a lot like being at home as I've got seven brothers and sisters, ranging from twenty-one to one year old!"
"Holy crap. Seven!" Rob exclaimed, struggling to imagine even more than one.
"Irish catholic," Chris said with a shrug. "Turns out prayer's not as effective as a johnny!" he got another laugh from the others. He sat back down and looked to David, the timid boy seemed to shrink back into the seat.
"It's okay," Daniel said quietly, urging the other boy to stand.
David climbed to his feet and froze.
Daniel shuffled forward and placed a hand on the other boy's back. He looked round the group and said, "Everyone, this is David. He's... a little bit shy right now." Most of the boys looked sympathetic, saying quiet words of encouragement.
"Well he's from... Kent, was it?" Daniel asked, hoping the prompt might help.
"Yeah, erm... near Kent," David said quietly. He looked to Daniel who smiled and nodded. "I'm... erm... I'm not into sports, but I'm... I suppose I'm okay at.... ya know... most school stuff. I don't have any siblings and I reckon when I grow up I'll just end up working in my Dad's business. Erm... I think that's it. Oh, and... this place is... pretty scary! Th... thanks."
As soon as the boy finished, Chris started applauding, the rest of the boys joining in. David blushed as he sat down, but couldn't help smiling as Chris called out, "Knew you could do it, Davey!"
"Ya did great," Daniel said quietly to the other boy as the cheering died down.
"So let's see if I got this," Chris said, sitting forward in his seat to get a clear view of everyone. He started pointing at David and went round the group. "Davey, Danny, Robby, Josh, Mikey, Nicky, Jamie and Chris." He finished pointing at himself.
"It's Daniel!" Daniel said with a frown. He hated being called Danny.
"And I'm defo not a Jamie!" James added.
Whether intentional or not, Chris' summary got all of the boys talking avidly, arguing over nicknames and what they liked to be called. While some of them were slightly annoyed, it was all in good fun and served the purpose of helping them quickly remember each other's names.
James and David had been quite staunch in their insistence their names not be shortened and modified, while Nick had been willing to accept 'Nicky' as his new nickname. Rob had stuck with Rob, though Chris seemed determined to keep calling him Robby, if only to tease him. Mikey and Josh already had the nicknames they liked. That only left Daniel.
"Whadda ya say?" Chris asked while the others were still squabbling. He winked at Daniel again and asked, "Can I call ya Danny?"
Daniel felt himself blushing once again. The name he had so hated for all of his life, all of a sudden felt so entirely different. He wanted to hate Chris in that moment, but the Irish boy's charms were too strong. "Okay, Danny it is!"
"You heard him folks!" Chris called out happily, glad to have achieved another successful re-naming. "Danny it is!"
With the names settled, several smaller conversations broke out amongst the boys, discussing the details they had just shared and questioning some of it further.
About half an hour before lights out, Mr Trent knocked and entered, prompting sudden silence amongst the boys. "So how've things gone in here tonight, lads?" the man asked cheerfully, happy to see the group together and, despite the silence, obviously interacting.
He got a general murmur of agreement from the boys and some nods, even a couple of smiles.
"Great, well we've got plenty more activities planned for tomorrow to let you get to know each other properly. I'll also be having a quick chat with each of you one-on-one, I'll send times and places through to you all on the app. If you have a look, you should also see you've got times for your medicals with Dr Arkwright."
The boys looked at each other nervously. Nobody had mentioned any kind of medical to them so far.
"But for now, you will probably want to start getting ready for bed. I'll be round to check on you all at lights out," Mr Trent explained.
A few minutes later, Danny was heading out of the dorm towards the shower room. He had felt more than a little awkward as he undressed in the room, having never been naked around the other boys before, but they seemed just as shy as he was as they undressed to either head to the showers too, or just get ready for bed. As he walked nervously down the corridor, Rob and Josh behind him, a boy ran out of the shower room, clad in one towel and waving another over his head triumphantly. Suddenly, another boy, completely naked with his hands covering his privates ran out after him.
"Gimme my towel back!" the naked boy shouted as they ran past the three boys before disappearing into dorm 1.03.
Danny glanced back at the other two who were grinning as much as he was. He looked down to his own towel wrapped around his waist and said, "Don't go getting any ideas!"
Rob and Josh just laughed, giving the other boy a gentle nudge to keep him moving. As they went in, several of the cubicles were already occupied so they split up looking for space. Danny found a vacant cubicle, stepped in and locked the door behind him.
As Danny glanced to either side, he could see there were boys already showering on both sides of him. The partitions were heavily frosted glass, so while he could see movement, it was impossible to make out anything other than a large amorphous shadow. There was still something about it he found strangely exciting, knowing that he had a naked boy to either side of him.
He pulled off his towel and hung it on the hook on the back of the door. He had been tempted to just casually hang it over the top of the door, but having witnessed one boy already with a stolen towel, he decided not to risk it. Seeing the naked boy had been exciting, but much like Joseph's punishment, it was something he was much more keen to witness than experience first hand.
As he turned on the shower and stepped beneath, he felt himself relax a little more. He hadn't realised just how tense he was from the hectic and exhausting day. As his shoulders loosened, he pumped some shower gel from the dispenser on one side and began soaping his chest. Within seconds, he had accidentally stroked a finger across his nipple and it had been enough to begin the inevitable. His other hand raised as he played with both stiff little nubs, watching happily as his cock twitched its way up to full firmness.
His hands began to slide back and forth across his torso, the water and soap making his smooth stomach almost frictionless. Slowly the hands slid down, onto his thighs before sliding inwards between his legs and back up, his thumbs teasing on either side of his balls, which he was glad to note seemed to have grown a little recently. His cock, however, remained just as small, at a measly couple of inches fully hard.
Regardless of the size, it was still capable of bringing him great pleasure. He took hold and started stroking, his mind replaying his encounter with Joseph earlier as his other hand rose back up to tease his nipple again. He kept imagining Joseph and his big cock, stroking it, playing with it, making it shoot. He released his cock a moment, playing with both nipples instead, enjoying teasing himself just a little, though he knew it wouldn't last.
Moments later, his hand was on his cock again. His eyes wandered onto the cubicle beside him, the blurred figure moving. Danny imagined he was doing the same thing, wanking excitedly under the warm spray of the shower. And the other side too. Then he thought about Josh and Rob, both in their cubicles, both naked. It wasn't that he was attracted to them specifically, it was just knowing they were there, it just played into his endless fantasy.
His mind whirling with thoughts of so many other boys, he felt his orgasm begin and looked down hopefully, desperate to see any sign of being able to cum, but alas, the only wetness was from the shower. Feeling better for having relieved the pressure, he finished showering and began to dry himself off. As he wrapped his towel around his waist and stepped out, he saw Chris emerging from a cubicle opposite.
Danny let out a gentle whimper. The Irish boy was already strangely alluring, with his stunning green eyes, sexy accent and endless confidence, but seeing him there was like something out of a wet dream (if Danny was capable of having them). Little beads of water ran down his chest, which already had the beginnings of muscle showing, his stomach ridged lightly with what would soon enough develop into impressive abs. His eyelashes, darkened by the remnants of shower water, were darker, making his eyes look even more intense, his hair hanging wetly to one side as a grin spread across his face.
"Hey bud," Chris said happily as he saw his room-mate.
"Erm... hi..." Danny croaked. They headed out into the hallway, the cool air striking them both and making them shudder just a little.
Chris looked back towards the shower room, then leaned over to Danny and whispered, "Enjoy your wank?"
"What?" Danny asked, suddenly embarrassed. "How did you know?" A million thoughts ran through his head at once, from Chris climbing up and looking over the door or there being a gap he could see through, to spotting his shadow through glass and even a stray terrifying thought about hidden cameras.
"I didn't!" Chris said with a devilish grin. "But I do now!"
Danny went to say something back, but nothing came out. It was such an obvious ploy and he had fallen for it so easily. He now felt even more embarrassed for having essentially confessed to jerking off in the shower.
"Relax. I'm only playing," Chris said, giving the other boy a gentle nudge, their bare, wet arms sliding against each other. He looked round again and added, "And mine was pretty good too!" He gave Danny another playful wink as he turned off into the dorm.
Danny had walked straight past it, but quickly turned and walked in, blushing heavily partly from Chris' comment, but also from getting so distracted by it that he missed the room. He quickly slipped off his towel and pulled on a pair of shorts and then a t-shirt, which was what he usually liked to sleep in. As he looked round, Chris was shamelessly naked, drying his butt with his towel, making a playful show of it as Josh laughed at him.
James and David, in their pyjamas, were already up on their bunks, while pyjama-clad Rob was sat on the end of his bunk, talking to Mikey and Nicky, both dressed in shorts and t-shirts, on the end of their own bunks.
With the show seemingly over, Chris had pulled on a pair of boxer shorts, as had Josh, the two boys heading for their respective bunks.
"Should I just turn the lights out now?" Danny asked, glancing at the clock and seeing they only had five minutes until Mr Trent was due anyway.
"No way, we're rebels, we're staying up all night!" Josh insisted, seemingly resentful of the curfew.
"Yeah, let 'em make us!" Mikey agreed rebelliously.
"That's a bad idea!" Rob insisted.
"Ah, you suck up!" Josh teased him, reaching over to the bunk beside him to give Rob a gentle kick.
"Err, hell no!" Rob said back sharply. "The best way to get away with things isn't to just do them and hope you don't get caught, it's making adults think you'd never even do them in the first place!"
"Whadda you mean?" David asked, leaning over from the bunk above him.
"Look, I got away with so many things with my parents and teachers because I behaved when I needed to, so that they believed I always behave," Rob explained. "If we spend a few days, maybe a couple of weeks, being the good little boys Mr Trent wants... ya know, in bed before lights out, up on time, no disruptions, that sorta thing, he'll soon start to just accept that it's what we're always doing, I promise you, he has enough going on out there with the other dorms. He'll be so relieved he's got one good dorm that he'll just kinda... leave us to it!"
The other boys looked thoughtful for a moment. Rob's logic made total sense and gradually one by one they began to nod along with the idea.
"Great, so go on Danny, lights out. He'll be here any minute!" Rob said, glad the others had seen it his way.
Danny turned off the light and headed over to his bunk. He was expecting to have to feel his way across the room to get to his bunk without hitting anything, but even with his eyes not yet used to the dark he could make things out. A thick beam of light protruded beneath the door from the hallway, but mostly the room was lit by moonlight. The far wall was floor-to-ceiling windows, but curtains were only fitted on the lower half, for privacy purposes. The top half was uncovered and, as it was a fairly clear night, the moon was illuminating the room.
Danny had climbed up into his bunk and just settled in when the room lit up as the door swung open following a quick knock.
"Okay boys, time..." Mr Trent started, sounding substantially less energetic than earlier, having presumably already been round the other three Year 7 dorms. "Oh!" he exclaimed as he saw the lights were out and all eight bunks were appropriately occupied. "Well this is a first! Good job, lads. Any problems?"
"No Mr Trent!" the boys chorused, clearly playing along with Rob's idea of feigned obedience.
"Well... okay then!" Mr Trent said, somewhat taken aback. "Nighty night fellas!"
"Good night Mr Trent!" the boys replied. They fell silent as Mr Trent backed out and shut the door, immediately bursting into muffled laughter once he was gone.
"Okay, regardless of whether Rob's plan works, that was worth it just for his face!" Josh said, sniggering.
"Shhh, we should still keep it down!" Rob insisted.
"Yeah," Danny agreed. "I bet he does more checks later on. No way it's that easy!"
Rob nodded his agreement but realised the others couldn't see, so he added, "Yeah, he's right. We just need to figure out his routine. Once we've got that, he'll be easy to avoid!"
"You're like some kind of evil genius!" James said, clearly in admiration.
"Why thank you, kind Sir!" Rob replied with over-emphasised formality.
"You guys are great!" Chris said happily, sitting up in his bunk. "We're totally the best dorm!"
The others murmured their agreement.
"But can I be... honest with you guys?" Chris asked, sounding slightly more downbeat. He got another, slightly more enthusiastic murmur of responses. "I'm... kinda missing home already!"
The comment hung quite heavily in the air. It was something most of them were feeling and hearing it spoken so openly just brought it right to the surface.
"Me too!" Rob said softly. "Milo's pretty annoying sometimes, but it just feels weird without him!" He said, referring to his younger brother.
"My Dad..." David started, but hesitated, not sure if what he was thinking of sharing was a bit too embarrassing and pulling back a little on the detail. "My Dad does this thing, before bed, it's... hard to explain and would probably sound stupid, but I just... I'm gonna miss it!"
"I miss wanking in bed. It's not the same knocking one out in the shower!" Josh said bluntly, immediately laughing so it was unclear whether he was just joking or serious, but it got a laugh from the others anyway, albeit a slightly awkward one.
When the laughter died down, Chris said quietly, "It's my brothers and sisters for me!" He sighed softly. "I'm gonna miss all o' them, but one of my older brothers, Finn, he's only a couple of years older, he's awesome and he always looked out for me. And my younger twin brothers, Aidan and Cian, they're just little cuddle monsters. I can barely remember the last time one of them didn't end up climbing into my bed at some point in the night."
"Ugh!" Mikey grunted from beneath him.
"Shut up Mikey, that sounds really sweet!" Josh said angrily.
"Whatever. You guys talk about how wonderful home is as much as you like, but keep it down, I wanna sleep!" Mikey said moodily, turning over to put his back to the others and face the windows.
The others didn't quite know what to make of Mikey's outburst and remained silent, settling down into their bunks.
Most of them were awake quarter of an hour later when Mr Trent came back round for another check, opening the door quietly and peering in for just a moment before closing it behind him.
Still feeling a little awkward from Mikey's apparent anger, no more open conversation broke out, but there was the low sound of whispering as the boys began to quietly talk to the bunks beside them. Rob and Josh, who were already beginning to look inseparable, were talking quietly. Above them, David seemed to have found a kindred spirit in his academic pursuits with James, the two already talking eagerly about their favourite subjects and what clubs they would join.
The opposite side of the room was substantially less active. Mikey had not turned back to face the others and, by the sounds of it, Nicky was already asleep. On the top bunks, Danny lay awake, staring at the ceiling and wondering if he should try and talk to Chris. The other boy was clearly still awake too, letting out occasional gentle sighs.
"Hey," Danny whispered. "Chris!" he added when the boy didn't respond right away.
Chris rolled over to face the other boy. Their bunks had rails around the sides, Chris leaning against his, propping his head up on one arm and letting the other casually dangle over the side. "Sup?" he whispered back.
"You okay?" Danny asked softly.
"Yeah... thanks," Chris replied back, giving another gentle sigh.
"Tell me more about your brothers!" Danny said, hoping that talking about his siblings might cheer the other boy up.
Chris smiled. "They're so funny. One of 'em will wake up and then get scared so they go get in bed with Finn, but then the other one wakes up, sees they're alone and comes to get in bed with me! They're like little ninjas now, they can get in without waking me, so I go to bed alone and then wake up with one of them laying on top of me or across me or with a foot in my face. I just feel sorry for Finn now. He's gonna be stuck with both o' them. He's never getting a good night's sleep again!"
Danny giggled quietly. "That sounds really fun!"
"It is," Chris agreed. "My oldest brother's pretty cool too, and I love ma sisters, but it's definitely Finn and the twins I'll miss the most."
"So you're a pretty close family then?" Danny asked, curious.
"Sort of," Chris answered. "My oldest brother and sister get stuck looking after us a lot, but my parents are always busy so we don't see them much."
Danny frowned a little. The other boy still seemed down, so he grinned and said, "I tell ya what then, maybe I'll try and ninja my way into your bed without you noticing if it'll remind you of home!"
"On these beds? No chance!" Chris insisted, wobbling the bunk slightly. They were well-built and sturdy, but did creak a little under too much movement. "But this gap's probably easy to cross!" he added, reaching over the small gap to Danny's bunk and grabbing the rail easily.
"I dunno. I'd probably fall and break my neck!" Danny said, slightly more hesitant now that he actually gave it some thought.
"Budge over!" Chris said, apparently taking it as a challenge.
As Danny backed up against the far side of his bed, covers pulling back with him, slightly worried that the other boy actually would fall, Chris pulled himself up onto the rail of his own bunk and swung a leg over onto Danny's. He began to push himself across, dangling precariously for a moment, face down into the dark chasm between the two bunk beds with an arm and leg on each side, but then shoved himself over, rolled over the rail and flopped down beside Danny.
"See, easy!" Chris whispered to the boy now laying beside him, their arms and legs touching.
"Yeah, but certainly not quiet!" Danny said, wondering how many of the others on the room had seen or heard the move.
"Then I should probably stay here now. Ya know, avoid disturbing anyone more!" Chris said with a grin as he rolled onto his side, facing Danny.
"You really don't like sleeping alone, do you?" Danny asked, rolling onto his side so they were now face-to-face.
Chris' grin dropped just slightly. "If Cian or Aidan don't get in with me, I normally end up going to Finn! I know that probably sounds weird, but it's nice." he confessed almost inaudibly. He let out another gentle sigh and asked, "Can I... stay here? Just for tonight?"
Danny just smiled as he reached down, lifted the covers and dropped them down over Chris. Although he didn't speak, the sentiment was obvious.
Chris chuckled gently at the gesture, happy to have the company. "Right. That's it. I'm claiming you!" he whispered happily.
"What?" Danny asked with an amused frown.
"You know, like when someone climbs a mountain and they stick a flag in it. I'm... sticking my flag in you!" Chris explained softly. "I'm claiming you as my new BFF!"
"You can't just... claim a person!" Danny said, more amused than disagreeable.
"As my BFF you're entitled to your wrong opinion!" Chris said with a snigger. "Now shhhh, I'm trying to sleep!" He wiggled around for a moment getting comfortable, his head moving forward slightly, making gentle contact with Danny's.
"You're so weird!" Danny said, sounding almost like he was about to kick the other boy out of his bed, but then nuzzled his head slightly against Chris' and said, "But hey, as my BFF I suppose I've just gotta accept that's how you are!"
Chris mewed softly but said nothing as the two lay side by side for several moments before he finally said, "Night Danny!"
"Night Chris!" Danny replied. With all the changes of moving to Kingswood, and the bizarre revelations from Joseph earlier in the day, it had all felt a little overwhelming. Suddenly, with the new and somewhat sudden friend at his side, it all felt just a little bit easier.
