Chapter 22: Eclipse
I sat at the airport lounge, trying to move my drink with my mind. I was trying not to make obvious what I was doing. Quin had bound my powers for a while. They would come back, but who knows when. He did so after I refused to kill the man practicing dark magic. Never try to put one over on a sorcerer, they always know. Without teleporting, there was only one way to get where Quin wanted me to go. The news said that a man suddenly went into a coma after not dreaming for years and I knew instantly that my plan had worked. Ruby had done her job. I felt guilty about it, but it had to be done. Sam and Dean had done it again. My boys, had done it again. My mind raced back to what I was attempting to do and I felt like I had almost tipped the glass. I was getting closer. Closer. Close-
"Hello." a voice said, causing me to turn around. I turned to see Andrew, his cold, blue eyes looking through me, " Didn't think I'd see you here."
I shook my head and looked up to see someone totally different. A man with the same cold, blue eyes. He was the perfect image of sexy. He had a pearly smile and a face that mirrored Cillian Murphy. His smile etched itself in my mind, " What now?"
"I said hello." the guy said, " My name is Nathan Calloway."
"Hi." I said, turning back to the cup of water.
Nathan cleared his throat, " I, umm, do I know you from somewhere?" he asked.
"I seriously doubt it." I smiled.
"Oh." he said, " Mind if I have a seat?" he said, about to sit in the chair.
I put my foot in the chair, " I really don't need company. Not to be rude or anything, but...I'm sorta on a mission here." I said quickly.
"I understand. Some strange guy coming up to you and asking to sit and..."
"Keeps talking?" I smiled.
"Sorry. Have a nice flight." he said nicely, moving on.
I felt bad for a moment, then I didn't. I mean, I'm a major ass now, I can accept that, but until I stop Mommy dearest, I'm going to be on edge. Something about that encounter was strange anyway. It's not everyday that I see Andrew back in the flesh. Really, it startled me. When did I start to use words like startle? It freaked me the fuck out!
[All passengers please board plane 189 to Oklahoma]
I sighed, " Home, sweet, hell." I said, picking up my stuff and walking off, leaving the glass on the table. As I left, the glass began to wobble and shake, then burst!
I sighed as I put my stuff in the overhead compartment. I was going home. Why? What was the point of going back to no house? I slipped my iPod from my pocket and turned it on. I quickly flipped to my playlist and turned it to 'Tears on My Guitar' by Taylor Swift. I was in that mood. I couldn't help wonder where Sam and Dean were. And if they were alright. It was torture and the fates were cruel. Even cruel than I could imagine.
"Hey, it's you!" Nathan said, checking his ticket.
"Hi." I said indifferently, unpausing my iPod.
"Right, this is going to be a fun flight." Nathan smiled, sitting beside me, " So, have we met? I mean, you can't be this much of an ass to everyone you meet."
"What?" I asked.
"Maybe I'm wrong, but do I offend you?" he asked.
I sighed and pulled off my earphones, " I'm not an ass. I just don't play well with others." I frowned.
"Others?" he asked.
The captain [Please fasten your seatbelts, we'll be experiencing a pretty bumpy ride.]
I looked out the window, " How'd we get in the air that fast?" I asked.
"Time warp." he smirked.
I looked at him angrily, " Who are you?" I asked.
"Such a strong witch and you couldn't feel me." he said.
"I got a vibe. Knew I didn't like you." I said, looking around.
"Here's the deal kid...." Nathan said.
There was an electrical buzz and a flickering of the lights, " Don't call me a kid." I said angrily.
"I'm here to make sure you don't make it back to your final destination." he said.
"So, you're going to kill me?" I asked.
"If I have to." he said, " But you'll cooperate or those little brothers are going to get it."
"Leave them alone." I said.
"If you don't do as I say, then I'm going to send the message. The demons I'm working with are waiting. They dissapate when the plane lands." he said.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"For you to come with me." the demon smiled.
"When the plane lands...okay." I said angrily, " But leave Sam and Dean out of it."
"Lilith will be pleased with your decision." the demon smirked, relaxing in his seat.
"Lilith? Who is that?" I asked, looking at him.
"Not everything is about you and the demon inside of your mother." the demon said.
"Keep thinking that, shucky." I said to myself.
"In a few minutes, Sam and Dean won't be alive long enough for me to save them." the demon sighed.
"What?" I asked, " You promised!"
"It's not me?" the demon said, shushing me, " And keep your voice down."
[ Passengers, please fasten your seatbelts, we're about to make a safe, secure landing. And thank you for flying Air Gentility.]
"Almost there." he said happily.
As the plane slowed to a stop, tears began to drop from my eyes and I looked down to my hands that had began to emit a little red spark. I immediately began to chant a spell, but nothing happened. The magic must have been in short supply. I looked up to 'Nathan', " So, was he dead when you possessed him?" I asked. he nodded and I sucked in air, " Good." I said quietly. He looked at me and with one word he flew away from me, hitting his head on cabin of the plane. There gasps and 'Oh my goshes' coming from everyone as everyong crowded around to see what happened. I got up and sprinted to the front of the plane, not bothering to look back. As I rounded the corner, the flight attendant was coming around the corner, " You have to go and help this man, he fell or something!" I said, watching her leave. As she jogged to see, I opened the door and saw that we were still a few feet away and I jumped, barely able to catch the ledge and as I sighed in relief, I saw that the plane was getting closer and closer, threatening to squash me! I hurried and lifted myself to the ledge, running into the terminal. I was spotted and stopped.
"What's going on?" the guard asked.
"Ummm, nothing, there's..." I stopped when his eyes went black. I punched him in the stomach and spun around, hitting him with the back of my wrist, something that Quin taught me. I ran away from the scene, looking around at the people who stopped and stared. I noticed that there were a lot of black eyes. I finally realized that I was the one in trouble, not Sam and Dean. And not only was my mother after me, but this Lilith chick. I sped out of the air port and into the nearest vehicle. I started it with magic and was gone before anyone knew anything.
As the car pulled to a stop in front of my old house, I was in awe...they rebuilt it! I had destroyed it and they had rebuilt it! Suddenly, I knew what Quin sent me back for. Quin had told me, inadvertantly, that the house was built on a pentagrammed space, making it a strong force for either side. I walked up the stone walk to the house and the wind began to pick up and I stopped, looking around. A storm cloud had invaded the little neighborhood in the stillness of night and as I looked forward, there were silhouettes in front of me, maybe fourty or fifty, to be exact.
"Let me guess, I fight?" I asked them.
They said nothing, but they parted, as if to let someone out and I noticed they were waiting. I walked past them, making sure they didn't make a move. As I entered the house, I found it the same as I left it, but with less burning rubble. I surveyed the dark house and moved to the center of it, trying to make things out in the darkness. I thought about casting a spell, but I knew that if they knew I had magic, they would surely kill me.
"Hello." All the lights flipped on and a little brunette girl wearing a lovely dress sauntered out into the light.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I'm looking for Chalis Gordon." the little girl said warmly.
I looked her over. There was something there, I felt her. She wasn't just some little girl, she was...powerful. I shook my head, " Who's that?" I asked, flying back against the wall.
Both Lilith and I looked back to see my mother.
"Lilith." Mother sneered.
Lilith sneered back, " This is our play time, please leave." she said sweetly.
"No, he is my son. He's in time-out." the demon smiled.
They both stared at each other intensely.
"How about you both kiss my ass." I shouted, looking around.
A scratch made my head turn to the side, " Not now, mommy's talking." mom said.
"You have no hope against us, kay?" the little girl said.
"Bitch." I spat, letting blood slip from my mouth. I nodded and mom flew back. As I was about to try Lilith, something grabbed me from behind the wall and I fell out. I looked over to see a bag of salt and I lifted my head and nodded at the open hole in the door, making the salt sprinkle over the hole. I sighed and fell backwards.
"Come on!" Ruby shouted in my ear.
"Sam...Dean..." I panted.
She picked me up, " No chance." she said, carrying me away.
"Wait." I said angrily. I stared at the house intensely, straining and suddenly there was an explosion from within, the wiring, no one would be blamed and suddenly the house was engulfed with flames. I smiled before passing out.
As the sun shone through the motel room, Ruby cleaned up my scratch as well as informing me that she'd let Dean and Sam perform a suicide mission!
"Ruby, I told you not to..."
"They didn't give me a choice, I even chose to sacrifice myself." Ruby explained.
"What? You did that?" I asked.
"Yes." she said.
"You like them, don't you?" I asked.
"Look, Lilith is the new leader, she won't give. You're in trouble."
"She's a little girl." I replied.
"After what you witnessed, you still think that?" Ruby asked, " I found some useful information. Your mother is looking for the Ring of Solomon, the falcon cloak, Apollo's Bow, The sword of Peleus, and The Philospher's Stone."
"Myths." I said quickly.
"Real. And as a matter of fact, you're going to have to find them first. Apart, random relics, but together, immortality and hell on Earth." Ruby said.
"Why isn't any other demon looking for these?" I asked.
"People think like you." Ruby said, " Most of these belong to hunters, but some actually are in the hands of demons. Some are just floating around."
"Bela." I said.
"Bela?" Ruby hissed.
"I'll risk my life, but I'm not the only one." I said, " And I need you to do something, too. I need to you to get the demon things. You're the only person assured to come back."
"Cool, there's only two demonic things." Ruby smirked.
"Right. Go ahead." I said.
"Now?" she asked.
"AsAp." I smiled, " Be careful."
Ruby smirked, then left.
I flipped on the t.v. and was shocked to see Sam and Dean's face on t.v. and what was being said almost killed me!
[ Sam and Dean Winchester were killed in a tragic turn of events that left a whole town without memory of what happened the night before. Witnesses say that three people survived the mysterious events, but none made it out. The last three survivors were killed immediately after, how? This is still being investigated.]
I couldn't form words. How could that have happened?! Sam and Dean weren't supposed...I had nothing left! How could...I should never have left them, they needed me! And I...I had to finish what I started. Then I'm going to destroy evil forever.
"You are ready." Quin said, appearing from nowhere.
I frowned, " You have no idea." I spat, looking up at him angrily.
Well, if you liked it please tell me so I can start work on the next one.
