This is the first story I've ever written, I wrote it over the summer of last year and my writing skills have grown immensely. Although this is my first story I've wrote, I have published other stories on here and am currently working on one. Under the high school section, I have the One or the Other, which is a current project; Hayden's Story; and GAvin's Got Game. Under the college section, I have The After Party. The latter three stories all contain sexual content.

"Shawn, I'm not sure how to say this, but I think we should see other people."
I was dumbfounded. Here I thought we were going great and that we would finally be able to say I love you soon.
"Why?"
"When I saw Leo, I started having feelings for him. I never stopped loving him, Shawn. When I found out he was leaving and you were there for me, I thought that I liked you. Yeah I thought you were cute ad I wanted to kiss you, but I only asked you so I could feel the void Leo left me. When I saw him, I realized the void was just there and I was using you to cover it up. I'm so sorry."
I looked down at my feet. "It's okay." I could feel the tears coming. But soon they stopped and I realized something too. "I have a confession to make too. At first I thought I said yes to dating you because I wanted you, but that wasn't why. I was tired of putting you through so much pain. Because of me you were always worried about Leo and then I made him cheat on you. So I felt that I should stop hurting you and make you happy. The only way to do that was to say yes."
We sat on the park bench in pure silence. Just an hour ago we were enjoying a picnic and laughing as if we were in love. "So our whole relationship has been a lie?" Avery asked.
"I guess so. But hey, at least we were both in for the wrong reason. Neither of us truly fell for each other."
He smiled. "Yeah, I guess so. But I really did enjoy the closeness. And by the way you're a better kiss than Leo."
I laughed. "So are you."
We both became quiet. But next thing I knew he pulled me into him a kissed me. "One last kiss to seal the ending of this relationship."
"I don't know why you couldn't have done this last week. Noah and I could have been a couple."
"He is cute."
"Really cute."
Soon after that we ended our last date, I was home and in bed. Today has been one hell of a day. I was hoping that Jay and Tommy's date didn't go too well. Hopefully I still have a chance to get him back.
The next day was Saturday so I got to sleep in. But only until 11 because on Saturdays we all hang out at my place, since it's now the biggest between all my friends, and just sit around. Today was special because this was going to be Noah's first time here. Jen also texted me and told me Drew was coming and so was his sister Natalie. Natalie is a year older than Drew and is a cheerleader. Just like Drew, if she spoke up and didn't care about her grades, she's be popular too.
So in total there would be 12 of us. Me, Jen, Tommy, Tyler, Ginger, Amy, Jay, Noah, Blake, Layla, Drew, and Natalie. Avery had to work today. I was super psyched about today too because Mom and Dad had their monthly all day date where they don't come home until after church. Knowing the things that they will do today, they'll definitely have to go to church to be forgiven.
"We're here!" Tyler shouted as he barged right in. Tommy and Ginger were right behind him. We greeted them and they sat down in the living room with me and Amy since they arrived early.
"So how was your date?" Ginger asked me.
"Well, Avery and I broke up."
"Awe what happened sweetie?"
"We realized we were dating for the wrong reasons. Avery wanted to cover up the hole Leo left and I didn't want to hurt him anymore."
"So there's no other reason you two are over?" Tyler looked at me. He then motioned his head towards Tommy.
"Nope. We finally realized it and decided to end it before one of us could actually get hurt."
"I'm sorry, Shawn." Ginger said as she hugged me. "You'll find the right guy soon."
"I know I will. It's just a matter of time before him and I come to our senses." Tyler smiled when I said that. Tommy looked away. "So Tommy, tell us about your date. Jay told me he normally fucks on the first date."
"If he does then my lil bro lucked out. All he got was a kiss on the lips." Tyler blurted out.
"Mind your own business, Tyler. You don't see my blabbing about your dates."
"That's because I never have any."
"Point proven" We all laughed. "Now I'll tell them, okay?"
"Okay, meanie ass."
Tommy cleared his throat and started talking. "At first I was scared shitless because he's a senior and I'm just a lil ole freshman. But after I got over that we had fun. After dinner we just walked around town and talked. It was really sweet. Believe it or not it was my real first date. We have plans to go out again next weekend." When he said the last part he was looking away from me.
"So are you guys official now?" I asked. Hoping he would say no.
"I guess we are."
After that I really didn't pay attention to the conversation. I added my input every so often to make it seem like I was paying attention, but I wasn't. Soon Blake and Layla arrived. They brought all the food for a cook out. They were soon followed by Natalie, Drew, and Jen. I was shocked that Jen's parents let her go with him. But then I remembered they loved him when he hung out with us. Jay soon arrived with two 24 packs of Pepsi. When he set them down he wrapped his arms around Tommy and kissed him on the lips. I was so envious.
Last but not least Noah arrived. He complained about the sucky directions, especially since it was hot outside and he had to ride his bike here. I apologized to him and the 12 of us went to the backyard for our little get together/party. The music wasn't too loud because we had elderly neighbors. But it was loud enough to enjoy. Avery stopped by for a bit. Just to say hi to everyone. He also met Drew for the first time. He knew Natalie because they were in Drivers Ed together last semester.
When Blake and Drew finished cooking the food, we all gathered around the combined picnic tables and pigged out. I had to re-explain everything about Avery and I breaking up. Even though I was able to tell Tommy, Tyler, Ginger, and Amy without any problem, I nearly came to tears this time. It was harder to admit this to everyone and make it officially over. Noah grabbed my hand and squeezed it tight. I squeezed his hand back and we sat there eating hand in hand.
Thankfully I was right handed and he was left handed because no one was able to see us holding hands under the table and they wouldn't wonder why we were eating with the wrong hand. After we ate, Blake decided to play a little basketball because we had a basketball net over our garage. When I was 5 I told my dad I wanted to play basketball. After he bought it and put it up himself, I then wanted to be a wrestler.
Tyler, Drew, and Layla said they were in for a game of 2 on 2. Tyler and Drew chose each other because they didn't want to be stuck with a girl. The funny thing was she was better than all three of them. I knew this because she was the star basketball player on her team at her old school. It was funny to watch Drew and Tyler try to beat her. It was also funny to see Blake standing there, doing nothing. She owned the driveway and didn't let anyone interfere with her game. Soon the game was 3 on 1. Layla still kicked the guys' butts by 15 points.
Soon we were all just going in and out and all around, doing whatever we wanted to. A few more kids came over because Drew asked if he could invite a few so he could get back at Layla for beating him. I said yeah and now there were about 20 people here in total. It was pretty cool to have a small get together and it not get out of hand. Around 6, Noah tapped me on the shoulder. He asked me if we could talk about what happened while we were eating. I said sure and we went up to my room.
"You know we're friends right?"
"Yeah."
"Well when I grabbed your hand, I didn't mean anything by it. Sure I think you're cute but I don't think I'm the kind of guy you need. Also I believe you need a friend more than anything else."
"Thanks for telling me this now, Noah. I'd rather know this is going nowhere from the beginning then think it's going somewhere and find out it's not."
"Anytime dude. And I also see you stare at Tommy all the time. It's obvious you love him. And what kind of friend would I be if I put what I want before you."
"Tyler." We both laughed at that but not too loud. We didn't want anyone to hear us and come and check on us.
"So we're just friends right?" He asked one last time.
"Yeah, we are. But I wouldn't mind knowing how good you are of a kisser."
"Not right now Casanova." He said as he stood up. "Let's get back outside before Ginger goes looking for you again." I stood up with them. "I swear she treats you like you're her son."
"She means well though and that's all that matters." We headed for the door but then this feeling came over me and I had to pee. "I have some business to take care of before I go back outside. See ya in a bit."
"Don't be too slow." We went opposite direction. Me towards the bathroom and him towards the stairs. After I peed, washed my hands, and used a tooth pick to get all the meat out of my teeth, I headed down stairs. When I passed the guest room, I heard a moaning noise. I wasn't sure what it was so I slowly opened the door. Laying there on the bed together, making out, were the last two I ever thought would hook up. They saw me standing in the doorway and the three of us stood stared at each other in shock.
