This is the first story I've ever written, I wrote it over the summer of last year and my writing skills have grown immensely. Although this is my first story I've wrote, I have published other stories on here and am currently working on one. Under the high school section, I have the One or the Other, which is a current project; Hayden's Story; and GAvin's Got Game. Under the college section, I have The After Party. The latter three stories all contain sexual content.

Today was our first day back at school. We would receive our new schedules for this semester. I was anxious and thrilled at the same time. Since Jay, Amy, Blake, Avery, Ginger, and Layla are in higher grades, the only time I would be able to spend with them would be lunch, unless Blake was in my social studies class again or any of them were in my elective classes.

I was riding with Avery in his car. "I can't believe this year is already halfway over." I said.

"Pretty soon you'll be a sophomore and I'll be a senior."

"You know I always wanted a senior boyfriend."

"Well wait until this May. Until then you'll have to settle with a junior boyfriend."

"That's a long time away though. You sure we're gonna last that long?"

"Nope. But I'd rather be optimistic than pessimistic."

We arrived at school right on time. The bell had just rang when we walked into the building. I got in the line for a U-Z to get my schedule. They sorted the stands out by last name. When I reached the front of the line and told the staff member who was running this stand my name, I got my schedule. I looked at all the teacher I had this semester and was happy. I heard good things about each of them. I ran off to find the rest of my friends.

When I finally found Tommy and Tyler, I was happy to see I shared lunch with both of them, two classes with Tommy, and one class with Tyler. I soon found Blake and Layla and saw we were all in the same social studies class and lunch period again. Now all that was left to find was Jen, Jay, and Avery.

When I found Jen, we both jumped up with joy to see we had three classes together this semester as well as lunch. Right now the only class I'm alone in is health. Avery told me he was taking health this semester but there was a possibility we were in the same class. I found him and confirmed my thought. We did share one class together bit we had health at different times. Luckily he also had the same lunch as everyone else. So far lunch looked to be awesome this year.

I soon found Jay hanging with Amy and Ginger. We compared classes and we had none together. We didn't even have lunch. We he saw how sad I was he promised to hang around with me outside of school because he missed his "little buddy" too much over the break.

I was happy with that but also sad that no one I was friends with was in my health class. I was hoping there would have been at least one person. Soon the bell rang and it signaled for all of us to head to the gym for the pep rally. Last semester I had one friend and a crush going into the gym. This semester I have six friends and a boyfriend going into the gym. I decided to sit with Tye and Tommy since Avery and Jen had to go cheer for the pep rally.

Blake, Layla, Ginger, Jay, and Amy sat a few rows ahead of us. Blake and Layla were holding hands and happy as ever. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that on Christmas at Jay's party, Blake got down on one knee and proposed to Layla in front of everyone. Well actually he asked her to be his girlfriend instead of wife. But he still somewhat proposed to her. He then told her that he couldn't buy her a ring and hoped she would be okay with it. She smiled and said yes.

When he stood up and kissed her for the first time as a couple. He pulled a diamond necklace out of his pocket and put it around her neck. He said it was his great grandmother's and she married the man who gave it to her and they were together forever. He was hoping it would give them good luck. Ever since he gave it to her she hasn't taken it off except to shower.

"Welcome back to Gerald Fields High School!" The principal yelled into the microphone. "I hope all of you had a great break! Now stand up and show some school spirit if you're happy you're back!" Only a few cheered. "Now show some school spirit if you're happy you get to miss your first two periods for this pep rally!" This time everyone was up and shouting. It was probably the loudest the students here have ever been. The teachers and even the principals laughed at our enthusiasm.

After the pep rally, everyone was dismissed to third period. Blake and Layla walked with me since we shared this class together. The whole time it took us to get there, they talked about how great their date was the night before. When we were in the classroom and I was tired of hearing the story, I asked them how many times they did it and they both blushed and shut up.

We heard the same thing we heard first semester and met some new kids we didn't see in our last class. There was this one boy. I didn't know his first name but his last name is McAlister. His eyes were a chocolate brown and he had short black curly hair. From what I could tell he had a swimmers body. He also looked to be mixed between black and white. Even though I'm not really into black guys, I don't know why I'm not but it's not because I'm racist, but damn he was cute.

He caught me looking over in his direction every once in a while but I kept turning back to look at him when he wasn't paying attention. When the bell finally rang we were dismissed for lunch. Blake and Layla were talking nonstop to each other while they were packing up. It took them forever. We need to hurry up and claim a table before we became the one of those cafeteria nomads that sit wherever they can.

When we finally got to the cafeteria it was packed. But thankfully Avery and Jen were able to secure a table for eight. Even though Blake and Layla really didn't know the others I invited them to sit with us so all my friends could be acquainted. Soon after we sat down, Tommy and Tyler took two of the three empty seats. This left room for one nomad. I was hoping that if one did come it would be that cute McAlister kid. He's some pretty good eye candy.

He never came though. I looked around the cafeteria and didn't see him anywhere. Everyone kept questioning me about who I was looking for but I refused to tell them. By the look on Layla's face she knew I was looking for that one kid, since she occasionally had to elbow me in the side to pay attention to the teacher instead of that kid.

After lunch the next two periods flew by. I had fourth with Avery and Tommy and then I had fifth with Jen. It was fun to have a class with her again. Since we hadn't had one since the beginning of September.

When the bell rang for fifth to end, Jen gave me hug and wished me good luck with sixth since I knew no one in that class. She was lucky and had sixth with Tyler and Tommy. I slowly walked away and headed to the health room. I was moving at a slug's pace because I didn't want to be in there. Who would want to be in a class full of strangers anyways?

Despite my trying to get to the classroom after the bell rang, I was the first in there. My fifth period is right down the hall from the health room. Ms. Murphy, the health teacher, greeted me and gave me assign seat. She told me that she calls everyone by their last name to show us she sees us as equals and respects us at the same time. I smiled at her and thanked her for the kindness. The second I turned around I rolled my eyes. I bet she's another one of those hippie teachers.

I had the seat in the back corner, which was my favorite place to sit if I had a friend in this class. I could talk, sleep, and do whatever I wanted and not get in trouble. When I sat down I looked up and saw Ms. Murphy talking to a group of students and groaned. I didn't know any of them.

I laid my head down on the desk and thought about hanging out with Avery after school. After the final bell rang I sat up. I nearly jumped out of my seat when I saw someone sitting at beside me. I didn't even hear them walk up. I looked to see who it was and I was shocked. It was that McAlister kid!

~ IMPORTANT ~

There are two chapters that were written by a friend of mine and I will tell you if when the chapter is written by her. Please DO NOT contact me and tell me how different those chapters are from the rest of the story and they are written completely differently. If you do I will most likely insult you. :D
