This is the first story I've ever written, I wrote it over the summer of last year and my writing skills have grown immensely. Although this is my first story I've wrote, I have published other stories on here and am currently working on one. Under the high school section, I have the One or the Other, which is a current project; Hayden's Story; and GAvin's Got Game. Under the college section, I have The After Party. The latter three stories all contain sexual content.

The bell rang. "So I shall see you around, Shawn."
"See ya around, Leo."
We both separated and headed towards our homerooms. When I got to Mrs. Dubose's class, like I suspected, I was friends with no one in there. I sighed and sat down in the back corner. I closed my eyes and reclined back in my seat. Mrs. Dubose was going over the school procedures and I didn't really care.
Finally, the announcement for everyone to go to the gym came on. I got up and followed my class out. Mrs. Dubose made our class sit on the side opposite of where the cheerleaders were. So I wouldn't be able to talk to talk to Jenna when she wasn't cheering.
We sat down and I ended up next to this fat kid, whose name is Pete, and he smelt like a combination of poop and ham. I swear that he was sweating from having to go from the classroom to the gym because his pits looked like they were stained with fresh sweat.
"Hi, I'm Pete. I was home schooled. This is my first year at a real school."
I rolled my eyes and sighed. He's also annoying. "Good for you Pete. I'm Shawn."
"Hi Shawn. Did you go to public school before? Or is this your first time like me?"
"I've always went to public school."
"That's cool. Do you want to be friends? I've never had friends before. Mom made me stay to myself because of stranger danger."
I just got up and sat a few rows back with someone else's class. I didn't care if Ms. Dubose gave me detention. It was going to be for getting into a fight if I didn't move.
"Well hello there."
I looked to my left and saw Leo. "Hey!" I said a little to excitedly.
"Did you move up here just to sit next to me?" He said with a grin.
"I'm gonna have to say no. I moved up here because this is as close as I can get to `Pete, the Man of Lard' without decking him."
Leo laughed. "You're so funny."
"Thanks dude. You're..."
"Hot?" He smiled.
"Yeah. That."
Some guy who was as gorgeous as Leo, but not Italian, sat on the other side of him. "Thanks for saving me a seat, sweetie." The two of them lightly kissed on the lips. "I missed you so much Leo."
"I missed you too, Avery." The kissed once more. I then coughed, trying to get Leo's attention. "Oh yeah! Babe, this is my friend..."
"Shawn." I said sorta pissed off and sad at the same time.
"Yeah. This is Shawn."
"Hi Shawn." Avery said with a hint of jealousy.
"Hi Avery." I felt sorta awkward. "I'm gonna go back to my row." I could just die right now. I actually thought that I would meet the man of my dreams on the first day of high school.
"But what about Pete?"
I mumbled. "Rather sit next to him than sit up here." I think Leo heard me because when I sat down I looked back to glance at him and he looked hurt.
"Where did you-"
"Shut it Pete. We can be friends but you need to shut up."
Pete nodded his head and smiled. Who could believe that my newest friend would first be an Italian god and in less than ten minutes change to the human sized pig. I just realized he's Pete the Pig. I laughed to myself.
"What was funny? Oh crud I talked. Are we still friends Shawn?"
I sighed and rolled my eyes again. "Yes Pete. And I'm gay so yeah."
Before he could say something, the principal started talking.
"Welcome to Gerald Fields High School! I hope you're ready for the most rockin' school year ever!" Maybe I was wrong about high school. So far it was the lamest thing that's happened to me. "Let's start our pep rally with our cheerleaders! Show them your pride, Sea Hawks! Show them your pride!"
Everyone stood up and started screaming, cheering, jumping, whatever they could do to make noise. Pete and I just sat there. I think the volume of all the students sent Fatty into a state of shock because he just sat there despite his loud nature.
I finally saw Jenna come out and she was more beautiful than she was before. She must have put on some make up even though she hates it. Jenna is more tomboyish than girly. Cheering is the only thing that would fit under the girl category for her. She loves hiking, camping, running, video games, and what not.
The cheerleaders started to do the school cheer. "While our girls are out here doing their thing, I'm going to call down the winners of the summer writing project!"
The summer writing project was a contest to see who were the best writers in the freshman class. The winners get $500 or $300 gift certificate and get to go to the mall for the day instead of staying at school.
"The runner-up is Avery Maxwell!" I looked back and saw that Leo's boyfriend Avery, is also the runner-up. I really didn't care because I didn't enter the contest so there was no way in hell I'd be going with him, despite the fact I know I'm the best writer in the freshman class. Avery went down there and stood to the left of Mr. Humphrey. One of the office women gave him his certificate.
"And the winner of the summer writing project is," everyone, even the cheerleaders went quiet. "Shawn Washington!" What?! I didn't do this damn project. "Is there a Shawn Washington here?"
I wasn't going up there. I would kill Avery on Friday. But with my luck, "Shawn Washington is right here, sir! Sitting beside me!" Pete said jumping up and down with his fat going all over the place.
"Thanks a lot fat ass." I said under my breathe as I got up and walked down to the front. I stood on the right of the principal and some woman gave me a certificate.
"Here are your two winners!" Everyone started cheering. I could see Leo's face. He looked worried. But who wouldn't have if they knew the two of us would kill each other.
Jenna looked at me and blew me a kiss. She's the only person who was able to make me happy at a time like this. I blew her a kiss back and then the crowd let out a lovey dovey awe.
"Looks like we have a little freshman romance going on!" the principal yelled.
This was going to be an interesting year.
~ IMPORTANT ~
There are two chapters that were written by a friend of mine and I will tell you if when the chapter is written by her. Please DO NOT contact me and tell me how different those chapters are from the rest of the story and they are written completely differently. If you do I will most likely insult you. :D
