Saving Jordan 24-27
Chapter 24
Jordan rolled over and gave Peter a kiss. "Good morning, husband-to-be. I think we need our first morning of engagement fuck."
Peter laughed, "I'm still worn out from our first night of engagement fuck."
Jordan feigned concern, "You're not tired of me already!?"
"Absolutely not," Peter said and it was his turn to kiss Jordan. "I plan to be fucking your tight, athletic ass well into my ninety's."
"I can't promise you my ass will be all that tight and athletic at that age."
" Yeah," Peter laughed and said, "We'll probably be two old men sitting on the front porch of the nursing home, staring at our raging boners, unable to remember what to do with them."
"I just hope we never forget how to cuddle," Jordan said and pulled Peter into a spoon. "Don't get me wrong, sex with you rocks my world, but when we hold each other is when I feel the safest, the most content, the most loved."
Peter felt the same, and smiled as he reveled in the warmth of his fiancé's arms and affection.
After a while, Peter said, "I would love to spend the day with you in bed, but Amber and I are meeting my brother and sister in Dallas to discuss the cabin?"
"You're not going to vote to sell, are you?"
"No, but I don't know how Aaron and Hannah are going to react to my decision. Even today, I feel like a little kid whenever I have to talk to them, especially Hannah."
"Are you sure you don't want me to be there?"
"Yes, when I introduce you to them, I don't want there to be anything to take the focus off of you."
"I see how it is," Jordan said, "I am your trophy boy."
Peter rolled over on top of Jordan and said, "You know you are a lot more than just some ego boosting stud to show off. You are the love of my life. However, I will have to confess that I do get a rush when we are out in public together. I am sure lots of people are making up all kinds of strange and kinky explanations for how someone like me can get someone like you."
Now Jordan forcefully reversed position so that he was on top and pinning Peter to the bed. "Don't even go there. I'm the lucky one. If those people are thinking anything it is that you are taking pity on a poor dumb jock."
Peter smiled and said, "I guess neither of us is ready to cancel the counseling sessions." Peter then stretched to give Jordan's right nipple a lick. Jordan lost focus for a moment, and Peter was able to use the distraction to again reverse position. This time however, Peter wasn't interested in self-deprivation or psychological games; he needed physical release and was certain Jordan did as well.
Peter worshiped Jordan's muscular body, and he kissed his way toward the boy's stiffening cock.
"Babe, do you have time for this?" Jordan asked.
"I can always make time for the things that matter," Peter said just before impaling his throat on Jordan's cock. Peter, really didn't have time, but he knew he could get Jordan off quickly with a good deep thoat fuck. The minute his cock hit the back of Peter's throat, Jordan's libido made him crazy stupid with need. In a counseling session Steve once asked Peter if Jordan had ever had any sexual disfunction. Peter said, "Only if the lack of an off switch is a dysfunction. Hell, the roof could be caving in and the boy would be yelling DON'T STOP at the top of his lungs."
Peter was right, it wasn't long before Jordan grabbed one of the pillows to cover the screams of a massive orgasm. As usual, Peter was amazed that no matter how recently or how many times Jordan had cum, he always had a large load ready for delivery.
Peter swallowed the first load, and then had to switch to using his hand to avoid drowning on cum. The last thing he wanted was to become the subject of an urban legend. When Jordan shot his last wad onto his chest, Peter licked it up and shared it with Jordan.
After a bit, Peter started to get up, but Jordan pulled him back down, and said, "Your turn daddy."
"Daddy," Peter said with a laugh, "If I'm your daddy, I must have been some freaky little second grader. However, now I do have to get ready. I'll just save up for tonight; besides, it will be good for me to be a bit on edge for this meeting with my siblings."
"Are you sure you don't want me to come for support?"
"No, I don't want this to be the way you meet my brother and sister. Amber knows our family, and will help smooth the waters if things get stormy."
"Are you expecting a problem?"
"I hope not. I think I have a good proposal they will accept. So, you don't really need to worry. Plus, we need someone to entertain Andy."
"Don't you really mean, Andy is going to be entertaining me."
"Peter smiled and said, "Maybe, but for now, cover your nuts."
"Why?"
"I'm going to go grab shower, and ten seconds after I open that door, Andy will be flying knees first into this bed."
Chapter 25
Aaron Jenke was an impressive man, and Peter was always a bit in awe of him. To the extent that Peter could catch a ball or ride a bike, it was because of Aaron taught him. Aaron had been a good high school and small college football player. After graduating college, he joined the Texas National Guard as a medic and applied for medical school. After graduation from medical school he joined his future father-in-law's surgical practice and was eventually promoted to a major in the Texas Guard.
Hannah Jenke-Brown married into money. Her husband's family were into oil, ranching, and banking. She had a son and two daughters that kept her busy, but when she had a spare minute she dabbled in local politics, including being the local precinct chair for the Democratic Party.
Peter and Amber met Aaron and Hannah at a Plano coffee shop not far from Aaron's office. After a bit of catching up, Hannah brought the conversation around to the topic of the cabin. Hannah had always been a get it done kind of woman, which sometimes could seem pushy, but she kept whatever committees she was on working. Peter was certain she would someday be a very effective legislator and eventually congressperson.
"The way I see it," Hannah said, "the cabin is a problem waiting to happen. There are things that need to be done to modernize the place, and I don't think remodeling by committee ever works. Also, if something happens to one of us, then there are inheritance issues."
"I see your point," Aaron said, "but I think the place still has value in that it is one of the only things we share, and it is a connection to mom and dad."
"Aaron," Hannah said, "when was the last time you were out there?"
Aaron looked slightly embarrassed, and said, "A couple of years ago."
"See, I never go there. It is just unfinished business," Hannah said, and Aaron took offense to her characterization. The two argued for twenty minutes about the importance of the cabin to the Jenke family while Peter and Amber sat on the sidelines.
Finally, Amber said, "Peter, since you aren't part of this discussion, would you like another cup of coffee?"
"Yes," Peter said, and a scone if they have any. Then Amber walked away.
Aaron and Hannah both looked sheepishly at their coffee cups realizing that Amber had just indirectly called them out for ignoring Peter's opinion.
"We're sorry, Peter," Hannah said. "We do that all the time, and it's not right."
"Yes buddy, we are both sorry," Aaron said, "We sometimes forget that you are an adult, and not a kid anymore."
Peter couldn't resist being a little spiteful about all of the times he'd been left out, and said, "It's okay. I'm used to it."
Now Aaron and Hannah really did feel like shit.
However, just like the night he saw Jordan cold and in need, he couldn't stand to see anyone in pain, so he smiled and said, "I'm just giving you a little grief. You two have been good to me. It's not your fault that I just HAP-pened to be so much younger than the two of you."
Aaron and Hannah burst into laughter at the reference to Peter's childhood nickname. "I'm sorry about that too," Aaron said. "That wasn't very nice of us to call you that."
"It could have been worse. There was a kid in one of my classes that everyone called Oopsy."
When Amber returned, she had coffee and scones for everyone. "Thank you," Hannah said, "not just for the coffee and scones, but for reminding Aaron and me that what Peter thinks is just as important as what we think." Amber just smiled.
Aaron said, "So what are you thinking about the cabin?"
"Well," Peter said slowly, "I want to buy you guys out."
"What!" Aaron and Hannah said in unison.
"Why would you want the cabin?" Hannah asked with incredulity.
"For my new family," Peter said.
Aaron and Hannah both looked at Amber.
"No, no! Okay yes. NO! Not that," Peter was totally red faced, and Amber began to laugh.
Then Amber stepped in to save Peter, "Let me explain. I don't know how much Peter has told you about his life lately, so let me start by saying Peter is a knight in shining armor. I called him last December because my husband was using me for a punching bag, and I was afraid he would start doing the same to my boy, Andy. He must have caught the next flight from Chicago to Atlanta, because he was there in a minute to rescue us."
"Andy and I have been living with Peter and his fiancé...."
"...Fiancé!" Hannah said loudly enough that they drew looks from the other customers.
"Yes," Peter said with a smile, as of yesterday afternoon. I told you a bit about Jordan, well yesterday I worked up the courage to ask him to marry me, and he said yes."
Aaron stood up and gave Peter a hug and said, "Congratulations," but Hannah looked at Peter a bit skeptically.
"Hannah, what's the matter?" Peter asked. "Please don't tell me you have something against gay marriage."
"Peter Jenke, you know I don't have a problem with gay marriage. Hell, we all deserve the right to make mistakes. I'm just wondering why he's not here."
"I wasn't sure how this meeting would go, so I decided to introduce you to him when there wasn't business on the table."
"Oh, so you didn't trust your sister and me to be civil."
"No, it's just that Jordan can get a bit protective if he thinks I am being wronged or mistreated. I didn't want him to misunderstand our family dynamic and over react. Plus, I really want you to like him."
Now it was Hannah's turn to hug Peter, "If he loves and wants to rush to your defense, how could we not like Jordan."
Aaron said, "Peter, will you excuse us? I want to talk to Hannah."
Aaron and Hannah stepped outside, and Peter asked Amber, "What do you think this is all about?"
"I don't know, maybe they are trying to figure out a price."
When Aaron and Hannah came back in, Aaron said, "We want to give you the cabin as an engagement present. We have just three conditions: One, you agree to host a family picnic at the Cabin once a year. Two, you agree to visit us in Dallas for a family holiday sometime between Thanksgiving and New Years, and we are invited to the wedding."
Peter wiped away a tear and said, "Thank you. You don't know how much this means to me."
"Okay," Amber said, "There are two people, Jordan and Andy, who need to meet Peter's family. Aaron and Hannah, I know it is short notice, but can you bring your families up this Saturday for the first of those family picnics?"
They both nodded.
Chapter 26
That night, Jordan and Peter were laying in a hammock they found in the shed and had tied between two trees. Jordan was in one of his insecure funks and asked, "Do you really think your family will like me?"
"He babe, everyone likes you."
"My old teammates don't like me. My dad doesn't like me. You even hated me, and only saved my ass because you are a good guy."
"That was to old Jordan, the entitled lax jock Jordan. Now you are the caring, loving Jordan."
Jordan kissed Peter, and said, "I can't believe that being homeless, friendless, and on the edge of freezing to death would be the best thing that ever happened to me, and would put me into the arms of my best friend, lover, and soulmate."
"Stop that," Peter said. "I have had all of the emotions I can handle today. If I start crying, I might not be able to stop; well, at least until you shove that cock into my begging bussy."
"Bussy! Where did you hear that term?"
"Hey, I'm totally unhip. You're not the only one gay surfing the internet."
"First, when I gay surf the internet, it is for research on how to keep my man happy. Second, you don't have a boy pussy, you have a man pussy, a mussy."
"Okay, at least you didn't call it a dussy."
The night was cool, but snuggled down in the hammock and sharing their body heat, they were cozy. A gentle breeze was gently rocking the hammock, and the air smelled of Autumn. "I have a question," Peter said. "Do you want a church or civil wedding?"
"I want a fun wedding. How about we have the wedding at a waterpark."
Peter laughed, "Well, I am not sure where we would find formal speedos, and I for sure would have no idea where we would pin the corsages."
"I guess you're right," Jordan said. "I doubt we can find someone who both officiates weddings and does nipple piercings."
"What would you think about a dinner cruise on the Chicago River?"
"Isn't that expensive?"
"I, we, have the money. Also, this is a once in a lifetime thing for me, and I hope it is for you as well."
"For better or worse, you're stuck with me," Jordan said, and gave Peter a deep kiss. "I know we need to talk about this, but now the only thing I can think about is what I want you to do to my ass."
"I like the way you think, Sonny," Peter said in his best Groucho Marx voice. "Let's practice for the honeymoon."
"Do you think we will have it perfected by then, Coach?"
"I don't know, we might need to put in some two-a-days before the big day."
Jordan was about to add to the silly sexual banter, when Peter put two fingers on his lips, and said, "Enough talk, it's time to shut up, and put out." Peter slipped out of the hammock and moved Jordan so he was lying perpendicular in the hammock. Jordan's eyes grew wide, and then he broke into a smile when he realized the hammock had just been converted into an improvised sling, and Peter intended to rail his ass under the big skies of Texas.
The next morning Peter and Jordan were still asleep in the hammock when Peter felt something poking him. Then he heard a little boy ask, "Uncle Pete, Jordy, are you in there." Fortunately, Amber had left a blanket, and the two lovers had used it to keep warm. "Mommy made pancakes and bacon. They're weally good."
"Thanks Andy," Peter said, "We'll be in in a minute. Okay."
"Okay, Uncle Pete. I'm going to go watch cartoons," and Andy ran back into the cabin.
Peter looked around and didn't see anyone, and said, "let's go!" Peter and Jordan did a naked dash for the outdoor shower. Amber, who was washing dishes, looked up just in time to see two very hot, but very unavailable men streak across the deck and around the corner of the cabin. She smiled and thought to herself, "I need one of those in a straight model. Probably can't buy it on Amazon and have it delivered free with my Prime account."
After breakfast, it was all hands on deck. They had only two days to get ready for the first Jenke Family Picnic. The first thing was a trip to the nearby Lowes for some patio furniture. They picked up eight stackable chairs and two matching dining tables. Peter also couldn't resist picking up a new gas grill since the existing one had seen its best days. Next Peter picked out some solar powered deck light that could be easily mounted to the railing posts. The last thing was a propane patio heater to supplement the heat from the fire pit.
"Can we get all of this in the Tahoe?" Jordan asked.
"We will likely have to make two trips." Peter said. "What I'm more concerned about is whether we can get everything in the storage building. We may have to do a bit more cleaning out."
When all of the purchases for the outdoors were finally back at the cabin, Amber took the Tahoe to go buy the food, sodas and beer for the picnic. As she was about to head to the store, Jordan handed her a list, and said, "I want to bake cookies and brownies for the picnic."
Amber looked at the list and said, "Boy, you just made my job a lot easier. The only thing I need to add to this is vanilla ice cream."
Amber and Peter had decided to serve hamburgers and brats since they were easy, and not knowing exactly how many were coming, they could easily adjust how many to grill. Amber smiled when she looked over at Peter and Andy already putting the grill together so they could try it out cooking steaks for supper. Peter had laid out all of the pieces and Andy was in charge of holding the direction so Peter could read them. Andy and Peter were both drinking cans or Orange Crush.
At the grocery store, the same clerk they had met earlier in the week again checked Amber out. "My oh my," the clerk said, "You've already gone through all of that food already."
Amber laughed, "No, we are having a picnic for Peter's family tomorrow evening."
"Peter? The other young man wouldn't be Jordan by chance?" the clerk said.
"Yes, why?" Amber said a bit taken back.
"My sister Rose and her partner own a coffee shop and bakery. She was telling me about the couple named Peter and Jordan who walked in the other day all emotional because they had just gotten engaged."
Amber smiled, that was my cousin Peter and his boyfriend, now fiancé Jordan. The little boy is my son Andy. Peter took us in when my husband became abusive. So, we're kind of an unconventional family...I don't know why I just told you all that."
"Well, a lot of people think I should have been a bartender or worked for the CIA because people just tell me things. By the way, my name is Lily and I am an ally, so is my son, the Texas Ranger. Most people around here are accepting of the LBGTQ community, or they at least don't harass them, but there are still a few assholes. So, if anyone gives Peter and Jordan a problem, just let me know."
"Thanks, I'll tell them."
When she got back to the cabin, the guys helped Amber unload the groceries. While they were putting them away, Amber told them about her conversation with Lily. "It's always good to know who you can trust," Peter said.
After the groceries were unpacked and they had a snack, Peter finished assembling the grill and fired it up. "It looks like it's ready to cook some steaks," Peter said. "Thank you Andy for helping me put it together."
"You are welcome, Uncle Pete. I am going to help Jordy now," Andy said and ran over to where Jordy was putting together the patio heater.
Peter was always impressed with Andy's manners and use of language. Aside from the occasional difficulty articulating some consonants, Andy's speech ability was extremely advanced. Amber had agreed to have Andy tested, and by all standards he was an exceptionally gifted child. One of the reasons Amber was so insistent on getting Andy into the neighborhood daycare, and having him do normal kid things, was so he didn't grow up to be Sheldon on the Big Bang Theory.
Soon after Andy was identified as intellectually gifted, Andy, Amber, Peter, and Jordan sat down with Steven, Andy's counselor and developed a plan. When Steven asked Andy what he liked to do, he thought for a moment, then said, "I like to play constwuction and soccer with Jordy. He told me he would teach me how to play lacwosse when I am old enough. I like to go to museums, play games, and learn stuff with Uncle Pete. I like it when mommy holds me, and tells me stories, and we sing. Mommy sings very well, and can play the piano. She said my fingers need to get a little longer before she can teach me to play."
Steven then said to Andy, "Do you know what your mommy, Uncle Pete, and Jordy all said about you?
Andy shook his head.
"They all said that you are kind and helpful. They said you have empathy. Do you know what that is?"
Again Andy shook his head.
"Empathy means you have the ability to understand how another person is feeling. They also said when you see someone who is sad or upset, you want to make them feel better."
Andy looked confused, "Isn't that what we are sposed to do?"
Steven smiled and said, "Yes Andy, that is what we are supposed to do, but you would be surprised how many people don't understand that."
Andy looked down and softly said, "Daddy didn't understand that."
Hearing that, Amber just had to scoop Andy into her arms, and hold her smart and sensitive little boy.
After a few moments, Steven said, "Andy, you are a very special little boy, and you have some very special adults who want to see you become a successful and generous person."
Andy smiled, then he said with a sly little smile, "Mr. Steve, you said I can tell how someone is feeling."
"Yes."
"I think Jordy might be sad if we don't get some ice cream for a snack."
The adults broke into laughter, and Andy got ice cream.
Chapter 27
Saturday evening, Aaron, his wife, and two teenage boys arrived around four in the afternoon. Twenty minutes later, Hannah, her husband, and three kids arrived. Peter was a bit surprised that everyone came, but then he remembered that only Aaron and Hannah had ever met Amber, and none of them had met Jordan and Andy.
Andy was an immediate hit with the women and girls, and the boys gravitated to Jordan. Peter was proud that none of his nephews or nieces seemed to suffer from homophobia. Obviously his brother and sister were raising the next generation of Jenke's well.
Gary Brown, Hannah's husband, had always intimidated Peter. He was the stereotype of the larger than life Texas high roller. Peter was manning the grill when Aaron and Gary joined him. "Hey Peter," Gary said, "Where's the beer? Hannah drove, so I can let loose like I'm Kevin Bacon."
Peter pointed to an ice chest. When he opened the chest Gary said, "Damn, you're stocked up on Shiner Bock."
"Well it is Oktoberfest," Peter said. The Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas was founded in 1909 by German and Czech immigrants who wanted a beer like they were used to in the old country.
"I hear you are engaged," Gary said, and the hairs on Peter's neck stood on end. Peter still remembered the first time he and Gary met. Gary didn't know Peter was gay, and told several offensive jokes.
Gary noticed Peter's discomfort and said, "Hey Peter, I know I was an asshole the first time we met, but your sister educated me, your brother educated me, our human resource people educated me. If there is one thing I know, it is not to say shit like that ever again. But more importantly, getting to know you has really changed how I look at and treat people. I hope you can forgive my past ignorance, because my kids really deserve to know their Uncle Peter and their Uncle Jordy."
Peter said, "That means a lot to me, Gary. Thank you." Then he hollered to Jordan, "Hey babe, can you come over here. I want you to meet some of the family."
Jordan came over and so did the kids who had been getting to know him. Aaron's boys, Chad and Todd, stood next to him; and Gary's son, Mitchell, and daughters, Kate and Gini, stood next to him.
"I would like you to meet my brother, Aaron."
"Hello sir," Jordan said.
"Oh no, that won't do. My name is Aaron, and welcome to the family."
Peter continued, "This is brother-in-law, Gary."
Gary stuck out his hand, and said, "Nice meeting you Jordan, and don't be slinging any sirs in my direction. The name is Gary, and welcome to the family."
"Thank you for the warm welcome."
Peter said, "Kate and Gini, would you take Jordan into the cabin and introduce him to your mother and Aunt Sarah." The girls' faces lit up like a Fourth of July, and they grabbed Jordan's hand to lead him into the house."
"Oh and Jordan, see if you can tear Andy away from his aunts long enough for him to meet the rest of the family."
"Uncle Pete," Chad said, "Jordy is really cool, and man is he fit."
"He does love the gym," Peter said, "He's even got me hitting the weights."
"I wish he were around here so he could help me put on some muscle," Chad said. "I am playing football, but I just don't have the bulk to play linebacker, and I really want to play linebacker."
Jordan isn't a professional trainer, but I bet he would be willing to create a workout program for you," Peter said. One day we were working out and he noticed a couple of middle school age boys trying to lift weights. He said, `They are going to hurt themselves.' He went over and chatted with them for a few minutes, and then started helping them lift the right way. Now when they see him in the gym, they always show him their progress and hit him up for new workouts. I have been impressed with how much Jordan's coaching has paid off for those two."
Now Todd and Mitchell wanted in on the workout program. "Would you ask Jordan if he would be our coach?" Todd said.
"Nope,"Peter said, "The first test of whether you are seriously willing to put in the effort is whether you are willing to ask Jordan yourselves."
The three nodded, and went off to ask Jordan. Peter smiled because he knew Jordan would be unable to say anything but yes.
"So, is Jordan interested in being a personal trainer or physical therapist?" Aaron asked.
"I'm not sure what he will eventually end up doing, but his current interest is becoming a baker. He is starting pastry classes in January. In fact, he spent much of today baking cookies and brownies for tonight."
"Damn, handsome, athletic, and bakes cookies, you've hit the trifecta Petey." Gary said with a smile.
"He's also smart and caring, Peter said. "I thought winning the lottery was my luckiest day, but it's nothing compared to the day Jordan saved me from my loneliness."
Andy came running all smiles and grabbed onto Peter's leg. Peter lifted the boy up and said, "And this is Andy. He is our little firecracker of joy."
Peter introduced Andy to everyone. Then Andy looked at the boys, "Do you like to play soccer?"
"We sure do." Todd said and the four grabbed a ball and found the only level patch of grass in the area. Eventually, they were joined by Jordan, and Peter was sure the guys were talking about a workout program.
Soon, Amber began bringing out salads, chips, buns, and condiments. "Whenever the burgers and brats are done, we are ready to eat," she said.
"Then I guess we are ready to eat," Peter said.
As they were eating, Aaron asked Peter what his plans for the cabin were.
"I am going to get with the agent who is currently doing the rentals and find a good contractor to do some upgrades to the cabin. The floors and kitchen need to be updated. I also would like a master bedroom with an ensuite bath. I suppose the other thing I would like is a garage with maybe an upstairs apartment. However, I don't really want to change the feel of the place. The reason I want the place is to build new memories on top of my existing memories. So the sense that this was mom and dad's place has to stay."
"I think that is a great vision for the place," Aaron said.
"It is my hope that you and your family, and Hannah and her family, would also feel like this is a place you want to spend time."
Gary laughed, "Well good luck on getting Hannah out of the city. I have a hard time just getting her to go out to the ranch to see my parents. It's a good thing my brother Greg and his wife want to live on the ranch when mom and dad decide to move. If I told Hannah we were moving out there, I think I might be sleeping in a very cold, lonely bed."
Aaron and Peter both laughed.
"Maybe we should plan a men's and boy's weekend," Aaron said. "My practice can keep me busy, so I often don't spend as much time with the boys as I would like, and it would be good for them to spend some time with their uncles and cousins."
"I am sure that would be a hoot," Gary said, "especially with Andy. That kid is smart and cute. He was telling me all about the fish he caught, and I couldn't stop laughing, he was such a funny mix of an adult's vocabulary and child's excitement."
"Consider the `Major Billy Jenke Memorial Fishing Weekend' scheduled for March," Peter said, "Aaron will bring the Major Billy stories and Gary will bring the beer and Orange Crush."
The boys had been listening in on the conversation and were giving each other high fives. In the short time they had been together, they had already found common interests and began bonding.
"Do you think the girls are going to be okay with this?" Gary asked.
"Man, my sister must have you whipped," Aaron said.
"Yep, and I'm not ashamed to say it," Gary said with a big smile.
"I'll talk to Amber, but maybe she would want to host the girls in Chicago." Peter said. "The house is plenty big, and I'm sure they can find something to do."
"Yeah, Hannah will wear out her credit card on the Magnificent Mile." Gary said and the group laughed loud enough to draw the attention of the women and girls. "Gary," Hannah said, "Are you making jokes at my expense."
"No dear, I would never do that."
"Don't lie, your penis will grow shorter."
Gary turned red, and the rest of the guys laughed hard. Finally, Gary also laughed and said, "See, this is why I need a guy's only weekend."
Amber brought out the ice cream and Jordan brought out his cookies and brownies for dessert. After he set the tray of sweets on the table, Jordan tried to go sit down, but Amber grabbed hold of his arm. "I am probably going to embarrass Jordan, but I want you to know that he baked all of these cookies and brownies. Jordan is starting pastry school in January, so he can start his own bakery. Of course, I think he should start a combination bakery and gym, if for no other reason than he could call it `Cookies & Crunches'."
The family laughed, but when they tasted Jordan's work they were very impressed and told him so. It was the ego boost Jordan needed after the encounter with his father earlier in the week.
It became a game to see who could come up with a name for Jordan's future bakery. Chad suggested Sweet Victory;' Sarah suggested Hot La Cross Buns;' Gini suggested Cutie Pie's;' but Hannah won when she suggested the bakery's sign should feature a picture of Jordan shirtless, wearing a baker's hat, and the name "ABSolutely Delicious.'
After watching the sunset, it was time for the party to end. Aaron and Hannah waited until everyone else had said goodby, then they each hugged Peter. Hannah said, "I am so happy for you. You have a great family, and I hope you feel you want to share it with Aaron's and mine." She then gave Peter a kiss on the cheek.
Aaron said, "Buddy, I know we weren't as close as brothers should be when we were younger, but I really want to change that." Peter was so emotional, all he could do was nod and give Aaron another hug.
When everyone was gone, Amber went in to put Andy to bed, while Peter and Jordan cleaned up and put things away. While stacking the chairs on the lower deck, Peter noticed a car parked on the road with what looked like two or three passengers. As he was looking at the car, his phone rang. When Peter answered, he heard, "Peter this is David Orville," then the dome light of the car came on. "We need to talk."
When Orville got out of the car, he was joined by two men who had the signature look of federal agents. When Orville and the two stepped up on the deck, Orville said, "Peter, this is FBI Special Agent Alex Bahre, and this is Deputy U.S. Marshal Phillip Vance. Is Jordan here?"
"Yes, what's this about?" Peter said with concern.
"The feds have lost track of Case Allison. He's on the run, and they don't know what he's up to."
