Title: Sarah and Michelle Part 2 Date: November 17th 2007 Author: Daisy D.
Chapter Two
Michelle grabbed her bag and said bye to the girls. She had this weird feeling in the pit of the stomach she'd never felt this way before. There was something about the new girl, Sarah. The way she ran in the field and caught fly balls, that was it she thought, I'm just really impressed with how she plays ball.
She threw her bag into the trunk of her forest green truck and peeled out of the diamond parking lot. The drive home was short and soon enough she was in the shower and getting ready to go to work. She worked part time as a waitress at the local Lone Star restaurant because it made me decent money and the tips at night were good. Today, though, she only had to work from two until six. Michelle only worked part time because she was in her second year of university and needed the money to keep her apartment. Before she left for work she thought she should call Sarah and make sure she still wanted to come. If Michelle knew anything about sports having a good team relationship off the field is necessary too. She felt bad because she had just caught Sarah out of the shower and for a split second she had the image of Sarah's wet body in a towel. What was going on, Michelle had always dated guys and was even happy with boys. She shook it off as curiosity and pulled on her black pants and her work shirt.
Just as she was heading out the door her room mate came home; Lila was an out going girl that she met in her first year of school and they had hit it off so well they decided to get a place together off campus the next year. Lila was currently dating this loser of a guy who was always in their apartment; luckily Michelle had school, work and baseball to keep her away from him.
"Where are you going in such a rush? Do you work this afternoon or something?" Lila asked from the hall outside their apartment.
"Yeah, I'm working until six then I'm going to grab some dinner at the restaurant and come home, change and go out with the team." She said as she opened the doors to the stairs.
"Good that way me and Daniel will have the place to ourselves. Have a good shift Michelle." And with that Michelle left for work.
Michelle's shift was nothing special; she had some nice regulars who tipped her well and it was pretty quite for a Wednesday afternoon. Soon enough she was almost done her shift and her nachos were just finishing in the kitchen. The bartender, Terry, poured her a beer and ate her nachos before going home. Michelle had arranged to meet with some of the girls earlier so they could all go together.
She drove into her teammate Lauren's driveway at around seven thirty; it never took her long to get ready and it was girl's night, she didn't have to worry about men or looking too pretty. She was shocked when she walked through Lauren's door; the girls were looking very good. She didn't feel out of place because it's not like she looked terrible she just hadn't gone all out. Since all the other girls were still getting ready, Michelle decided she would do something more with her hair like straighten it and put on some more mascara. By the time she had finished she was looking pretty good.
"Wow Michelle, you are looking so fine!" Shelby, the first basewoman said. Michelle could tell that they had a few drinks with dinner. It didn't bug her that Shelby was a lesbian and talking about her like this; Shelby had been on the same team as Michelle since they were kids and Shelby had the same girlfriend for about a year. There were a few lesbians on the team and everyone was accepting; Michelle and the other girls were a bit nervous that the two new girls wouldn't accept the girls who were gay on the team.
The girls left for the bar at around nine thirty, they decided instead of someone having to be the designated driver they would walk to the pub. It wasn't a long walk probably around 10 minutes. On the walk Michelle called Sarah and Rachel.
"Hey girls, how was dinner?" Michelle said when Sarah answered her phone.
"Dinner was good. Are you guys heading out to the pub now because it's right around the corner from where Rachel lives and we were going to head over soon?" Sarah was trying hard not to sound too eager. She was worried Rachel would catch on to how eager Sarah was to see Michelle. They arranged to meet at the pub at around ten.
"So when are we going to talk about how badly you want in Michelle's pants?" Rachel said as casually as possible as she sipped her drink.
Sarah finished that's sip of her beer and said, "Is it that obvious? You know she's gorgeous and how long has it been since I've been with someone longer than one night?"
"Well..." Rachel started to say.
"And you don't count we just like to have fun we are friends first that was your rule too," and with that they paid for their meals and headed out to Sarah's car.
Sarah was going to crash at Rachel's house and leave her car in Rachel's driveway. It made more sense then going home because she lived a lot farther from the pub than Rachel. Plus Sarah figured that since Michelle was clearly straight it would be nice to fall asleep with Rachel.
Michelle and the rest of the team got there at around 9:45 and picked a big booth near the pool tables. Luckily for them, there was a baseball game on that night. Michelle ended up sitting on the edge of the group and when Sarah and Rachel came in, Michelle was right beside Sarah.
Michelle was still sober enough to control herself but some of the other girls weren't. The girls on the team who were straight were all talking about which of them could get the cute bartender and the gay girls were all discussing the sexuality of the waitress.
"Sorry, is this weird? Usually the team is a bit better behaved when they meet new people," Michelle was saying but before she could get a response Sarah and Rachel had already joined in the conversation about the waitress.
"Clearly she's straight, if she would be into girls someone would have told her by now that you can't wear blue eye shadow when you have brown eyes." Everyone laughed when Sarah added this to the conversation.
Rachel looked at Michelle apologetically, "I really can't take her anywhere." They both laughed.
"Are you guys seeing anyone?" Shelby asked from across the table.
They both said they were single and before they could say anything else Lauren said, "Hey Michelle, you've been looking for a good man you should go ask that bartender for his number you have more balls than any of us anyway." With the whole table egging her on she had to go and get his number just to prove that she did have the guts to get it.
*** The atmosphere of the night changed for Sarah when Michelle went and flirted with the bartender. Her night was by no means ruined she just had the feeling that she had no conquest for the night. For Sarah the most thrilling thing is the chase and Michelle was suddenly off limits. Rachel reached across the table to grab a napkin and put her hand on Sarah's knee. Rachel conveniently forgot to remove her hand when she got the napkin. ***
Michelle returned and put the telephone number right in front of Lauren and said, "How is that for balls?" and went back to her seat. She couldn't help but notice that Rachel had her hand on Sarah's knee; could that twinge in her stomach be a twinge of jealousy? She hoped not.
"So Sarah, do you want to split a pitcher?" Michelle asked innocently. Sarah said she would love to and with that Rachel went to go mingle with the other girls.
"Are you two together or something? I don't mean to make you uncomfortable or anything it's just the comments on the waitress and her hand on your knee," Michelle said trying to sound friendly.
"Who? Me and Rachel? No we are just friend's that go way back. We are both single and looking for the right girls," Sarah said laughing because it was such a strange moment. The girl whom she had only met that morning but she still had this animal need to take her; was asking her about her relationship status, it raised lots of questions.
Once everyone was finished their drink and they decided it was time to call it a night. Sarah was glad that she could stop looking at Michelle's beautiful yet untouchable body. Her perfect, perky breasts and her nice long legs in those heels; Sarah was having a tough time controlling her self and the beer she was drinking was not helping with her self control. ***
Michelle was trying to slow down; she was trying to drink her beer very slowly because she was starting to get all these thoughts in her head about Sarah and Rachel. When Rachel came back to join their conversation she was flirting with Sarah. For some reason she didn't even care that the bartender was giving her free beer; what she did care about was that Rachel was putting her hands on Sarah. Michelle just wanted to leave and go home and when someone made the suggestion they all leave Michelle jumped at the idea. There were hugs all around and Michelle and Sarah were the last to hug. Their hug lasted a bit too long but Michelle pretended to stumble a little and recovered herself. Sarah helped her to the cab; with Sarah's arm around Michelle's waist they walked out. The liquor took away all her inhibitions and as she was getting in the cab she kissed Sarah on the cheek.
Lauren, Shelby and Michelle shared a cab. Lauren and Shelby were dropped off first and gave Michelle some money for their share of the cost. Finally, the cab pulled into Michelle's driveway and she paid him and went straight to bed. As soon as she put her head down she fell asleep.
All Michelle could dream about was:
Instead of Sarah just putting her in the cab, Sarah pushed her up against the back door of the cab and kissing her. Taking her tongue into her mouth and pushing her shirt up over her head. Michelle just wanted to run her hands through Sarah's long sandy blonde hair and look into her green eyes as she kissed her as deeply as possible. Michelle wanted to run her hands down Sarah's smooth, toned stomach and get to her slender hips. Michelle wanted to rip all the clothes off of Sarah and... Beep Beep Beep
Michelle was woken up too early for her liking but she had an early class but she still couldn't shake the image of kissing Sarah out of her head.
