"I was thinking of Cajun food, tonight. How does that sound? Maybe some red beans and rice with andouille sausage and coleslaw?" Tommy replied with a big YUMMMMM!! "Darling, whatever you cook is heaven but more importantly, just spending the evening with you in my arms and you holding me tight is perfect!"
"OH, and maybe sneaking in some mild kissing here and there...what time will you be home tonight babe?"
Robbie replied with, "Well, I have to finish at the restaurant and do some shopping at the grocery store. Can you think of anything we need?"
"What are we going to have for dessert besides each other?"
"Well, darling, you will just have to wait and see," laughing as they said good bye and hung up, with a quick 'I love you' before the call ended. Smiling, Robbie made a list of what to get at the store and decided on making 'Bananas Foster' from the famous 'Brennen's' Restaurant in New Orleans, one of Tommy's favorites.
When Robbie arrived home with the groceries, he put things away in the kitchen and started dinner. He put the dry red beans on to boil with salt, pepper, with enough water to cover and let them boil for about 15 min. He then turned off the heat and let them sit for about an hour. Then he drained them, rinsed them and put them back in the pot. Meanwhile he chopped onion, green pepper, celery, fresh garlic, fresh Italian parsley, and added oregano, thyme, and a bay leaf or two. Chopped green onions served for garnish. Robbie saut?ed the peppers and onions, celery and garlic with fresh EVOO and added 1 lb of andouille sausage, sliced thinly. After soaking the hot beans for the hour, he drained them and then added the veggies to the mix with 4 cups of good chicken stock and about 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning. He covered the pot and simmered the beans for a good 2 hours and then made a pot of plain white rice.
It was just about 6:30 when Tommy walked in the door, placed his brief case by the hall table and strolled into the kitchen. "That smells SOOOOOO good darling," as he grabbed Robbie, spun him around and kissed him very passionately. Robbie, slightly breathless, pulled away a bit, smiled and said, "Hey, back at ya lawyer man. I missed you today!!"
"Well, babe, I had this hard on all the way home, thinking about you sweet- heart," as he pulled Robbie's hand down to the raging hard cock in his suit pants. "Looks like this could develop into a fun filled evening, but first I can't wait to dig into this Cajun feast you have fixed. It smells just great."
"Why don't you set the table for us while I finish things here and open the wine." Tommy came back with, "Here in the kitchen?"
"That would be great, so why don't you get comfortable and I should have everything done by then," Robbie grinned.
So, Tommy went off their bedroom and changed into comfy clothes and came back with a smile. "I'm starving for you BABE!!" and wrapped Robbie in his arms and asking, "Have I told you how much I love and adore you, lately?"
"Not for hours and hours and I was beginning to think you didn't love me anymore!" while faking a large SOB and tear. "Never in a million years would that ever happen, darling man!!" said Tommy. "Now let's EAT!! I'm starvin' like Marvin!" Robbie dished up the rice and then covered it with the red beans and sausage and topped it with chopped green onions, then placed the plate in front of Tommy and poured the wine. Robbie fixed his plate and sat down. They toasted and Tommy thanked Robbie for a wonderful dinner and dug in. After one bite, Tommy slid down in his chair, closed his eyes and just a big YYYUUMMM came out of his mouth. "Babe, that is even better than the last time I had this in 'Nawlins'.(New Orleans) This is beyond fabulous. I hope you have this on the menu at the restaurants."
"Not yet, but if you think it is that good it will go on next week and this gives me an idea. As you know, we do a mix of American/European food there and maybe we will add a section of American foods from different regions of the US, you know New England, Southwest, Southern, and Mid-western! what do you think of that idea?" asked Robbie.
"For just a night or like for a week perhaps, then change it out to give some variety." suggested Tommy.
"That sounds like a plan. I will run it by dad tomorrow to see what he says. I know what he will say: "Well son, your restaurants, do what you want to, BUT, I get first crack at the tastings!"
Robbie and Tommy finished their dinner and while Tommy cleared and loaded the dishwasher, Robbie set out to make 'Bananas Foster'. He took fresh bananas, sliced them and put them into a skillet with butter. He turned the heat on med high, added several talespoons of brown sugar, a couple of shakes of good, ground Cinnamon, a pinch of salt and let the mixture brown slightly. Then Robbie added a healthy pour of spiced rum and a splash of good brandy and tipped the pan a bit and the skillet lit up like the fourth of July. This burned off the alcohol.
(Be very careful doing this at home. Use an oven mitt and it has to be done over a gas stove. With an electric stove, use an electric match and again please be careful!!) Then, spoon the mixture over bowls of vanilla ice cream. Robbie added some tweel cookies and served dessert with French Roasted coffee w/chicory. They both savored the dessert and Tommy reached over and kissed his chef/lover with a big THANK YOU!! "OH, and by the way...I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!"
After a wonderful night of love making, both men slept wonderfully and woke up in the morning refreshed and ready for another day. They had a little play time and both came in copious amounts down each other's throats in the shower. They dried each other off and went to get dressed. Robbie in jeans and a polo and, of course, Tommy in a fabulous dark grey suit with a bright pink tie and white and pink striped shirt. Robbie said, "You look good enough to eat, but hey, I think I already did that," while licking his lips. Tommy laughed and kissed his lover.
Let's get some breakfast. I need to get out of here soon, as I have a real busy day. They walked into where Elsa had breakfast ready and was just pouring the coffee when the handsome men walked in. They both greeted Elsa with a hug and a kiss. Elsa replied with a big smile and asked "How are my two gorgeous men this morning?"
"Just fine, Elsa and how are you this morning, dear lady?" asked Robbie.
"I am great as well and so looking forward to your wedding!! I hope you're excited about it."
"We both are as well! Now what's for breakfast...we are both starving!" probed Tommy. They sat down as she set down plates of Denver omelets with green peppers, onions, fresh sliced mushrooms, and tons of cheddar cheese; Crispy hash browns; Sour dough toast with butter and homemade strawberry jam.
They both dove in and excaimed that the breakfast was wonderful as usual. They ate every last morsel and almost licked their plates clean. Robbie said. "I think I need a nap now!!"
"Oh no you don't darling, you have to go to work and make the money to support me. Cuz, after we are married I'm going to quit work and be a lazy bum, lay around all day, eating BON-BONS and watching soaps!" Robbie replied with a big smirk. "What's different with that scenario? You do it every day now!!" Tommy laughed. Smiling at the good-natured jab, Robbie said, "Beware, I will get even for that remark" and he reached over and kissed Tommy. "I have got to dash and will see you tonight, Babe." Said the lawyer walking out the door.
Tommy left for work and Robbie did a few things around the apartment before leaving for the office. He made a note to himself about the menu changes he wanted to make, doing different areas of the US for dinner menus. He thought they had come up with a brilliant idea and added a new menu twist for the restaurants.
Robbie grabbed his keys, wallet, yelled goodbye to Elsa and was gone. As he drove out of the garage, he looked up and again saw what a beautiful day it was. He smiled and thought how lucky he was, to have the life he had. He had his Tommy and was so in love it was almost overwhelming sometimes, thinking of Tommy's smoking hot body, his huge cock, his wonderful hairy chest and most of all his sweet, caring nature. The romantic way he always treated Robbie... He would be happy and content for the rest of his days.
After arriving at the office building parking, he took the elevator to the penthouse floor and was greeted at reception by Janet who manned the desk and was assistant office manager. She smiled at Robbie and said, "Good morning, Robbie and how are we doing today, and from the smile on your face, I can only assume, you're doing very well!" Robbie answered Janet, "Good morning and yes, thank you, I am doing very well. We are getting married in a little over a week, everything is done, so waiting is all I have to do. I wish we could do tie the knot at lunch today, or better yet right now, this minute, a man can dream, right?"
Janet replied with, "Just hang in there cowboy. It will be time soon!" Robbie smiled and walked to his office. He passed his secretary, Beth, wished her good morning and asked if the new coffee machine had been delivered yet. It was a top of the line Ness-caf?. Robbie had ordered it a few days ago and was excited to have it. Beth replied it was there and ready for use.
Robbie went to his office, begging Beth to follow him and they would have a cup from the new machine. Robbie followed the directions and soon the cups of coffee were ready for tasting. Wonderful, creamy coffee appeared in the cup with then a light foam on top. Beth asked for hers 'plain, no sugar'. She sipped it and exclaimed it was fabulous! Robbie made himself a cup with a little more milk and a bit of sugar, sipped it and agreed, the coffee was perfect. Right then, he decided he was getting one for home and was going to surprise his parents with one as well, oh and what the hell, one for his Dad's office too, and while he was at it, one for Tommy and his new Father-in law as well.
Beth said she would order one for his parents and one for his apartment, for Tommy and his dad and have them delivered to each location and left to take care of the task. Robbie sat down at his desk, and started looking at emails, answered what needed to be done right then. Once, that was completed, he started going through his mail. In the mail, there was a strange letter with no return address. He felt the envelope, nothing seemed suspicious, no plastic card. He held it up to the light and saw large letters on a piece of paper folded. He opened it carefully and took out a single sheet of paper with letters cut out of a newspaper and looked like magazines as well. He opened the folded paper. It read: "Beware, you will get yours, Asshole! I will get even!"
Shaking, Robbie picked up the phone and called security and asked them to come up STAT! Then, called his Dad and had him come down immediately. Both security and his father arrived at the same time. He showed the note to his dad, holding just the corners as not to contaminate any fingerprints. Daniel called the police and Robbie called Tommy and asked for him to come over immediately. When asked what was wrong, are you OKAY? he just replied, "I'm fine, but please get over here NOW!"
The Police Sargent asked, "Who do you think did this?" Both dad and son looked at each other and came to the same conclusion. The asshole at the restaurant, Mr. Seth Jones, who caused all the trouble last week, and was served with a lawsuit and charged with intent, assault, public nuisance, slander, libel and a possible death threat. They knew he was out on bail since Tommy had alerted them of that fact.
Tommy arrived shortly, kissed Robbie and asked what was wrong. He was introduced to the police Sargent and another officer as Robbie's Fianc? and the lead attorney for this section of the corporation. Tommy was shown the note that had been placed in an evidence bag. "There is only person who could have done this and I am sure holds a huge grudge against us." They went on to explain, the circumstances of the incident at the restaurant, his arrest and that he was out on bail at the present time. "We will have his finger prints on file and we will check with the lab for a match as soon as possible. We will put a priority on this and may have an answer by this afternoon.
The Sargent took the evidence bag, placing it carefully into a special briefcase, and the men left. Daniel, Tommy and Robbie hoped that if they were lucky they would have the asshole back in jail by the end of the day. They discussed what to do next and came to the conclusion that nothing could be done until the results were back, hopefully by this afternoon. Tommy and Robbie hugged and then Tommy went over and hugged his 'father-in law', said goodbye and went back to his office.
Robbie said he had things to do and so did his father. With all the new business, the new jet arriving soon and the papers for all the new real estate due first thing in the morning, it would be a long day.
Robbie returned to his office and began working on the menu changes for the restaurants. Adding different regions of the US would be inventive and a fresh idea. He would do a trial at only two of the restaurants to see how they were accepted and how the customers reacted. Robbie was always looking to keep the restaurants up to date and keep things from getting stale.
He was thinking, what region to do first when his phone rang. He answered it and it was Tommy, saying they had the results from the lab. Robbie said to hang on, as he was going to go to his father's office so the three of them could talk about it. Tommy indicated they would be pleased with the results! He ran down the hall to his father's office. Once he explained what was going on, they reconnected with Tommy. Tommy explained that the lab results were back, and it was indeed Mr. Jones' finger prints all over the paper. Tommy had instructed the police to arrest Mr. Jones once again and have his bail revoked. He was to stay in jail until his trial. How incredible that he would do such a thing. He would be ruined financially, now in jail for a felony, and would be in prison for a long time. Why would it do to his family? No income, no money left. They found out that his bail money had come from mortgaging his house to the limit. They would be wiped out, but too bad. Threats like this were to be taken seriously.
As they were speaking, the police went to re-arrest Mr. Jones. He was at home that morning smiling to himself, thinking he had the last laugh, until he heard the police sirens approaching his house. Mrs. Jones had gone off to play bridge that afternoon, so he was home alone. Upon hearing the sirens, Mr. Jones said to himself, "OH SHIT, what am I going to do now?" He then walked over to his desk, opened the top drawer and pulled out a small revolver and held the cold steel of the gun in his right hand. Just as the police knocked on the door, he placed the gun to his head and pulled the trigger!
Upon hearing the shot, the police broke down the door and ran in to find the body on Mr. Jones laying on the floor in a pool of blood from what appeared to be huge wound at his temple. The Sargent radioed the police station and said to send the coroner and back up. The gun was laying on the floor next to the body. They checked the rest of the house as he appeared to be alone. The investigator and the coroner arrived about the same time. The coroner examined the body as the incident was explained. "Well", said the coroner, "it looks like a simple case of suicide. Let me finish processing here and we will take the body away." "Does he have a next of kin?"
The Sargent, said he thought he had a wife, but didn't know where she was. They checked the house for clues. Maybe there was a calendar in the kitchen. When checking, sure enough, there was one by the desk in the kitchen and written on today's date was 'Bridge @ Sally's house, 12-3:30'. It was now 3:45 so she should be home shortly. As they were speaking, Mrs. Nancy Jones was driving down the street, towards her house. When she saw the red and blue flashing lights on police cars and saw the other emergency vehicles in front of her house with a police car in the drive way, she came to a quick stop in front of her house, engine still running, she jumped out of her car. Leaving the car door open, she ran towards the front door screaming, "Seth, SETH... what is going on here, what's happened?"
She tried to enter the house and was stopped by the police Sargent just before she hit the porch. Crying, she said, "What has happened here, someone tell me!" and started screaming. The neighbors were now out in full force. Those who heard the shot were curious. One of the neighbors, Sue from next door, came over and told the police Sargent she was one of Nancy's best friends and took Nancy into her arms holding the sobbing woman.
The police were asking questions of the neighbors to see if they saw something suspicious or heard anything out of the ordinary. Two close neighbors said they heard a loud pop but didn't know what is was. Later, during questions, even Sue said she heard a pop, but didn't think anything of it. They took Nancy next door to Sue's home to settle her down and ask a few questions.
The Sargent told Nancy that her husband was found shot and was pronounced dead. It appeared to be suicide. Nancy gasped and started to cry again. While sobbing she told the police, "Since the incident at the restaurant, which was so unlike him, he had not been himself. He had never acted like that before and he got along with everyone. His behavior seemed so strange, especially since his arrest. "I know his work was not going well and we are having some financial problems, but he said not to worry, that he would take care of everything. I have plenty money of my own, from an inheritance, so I am not worried about the house or bills, but I just don't understand, why he would kill himself?"
The Sargent said, he had done some things that were really bad and damning to him, and that we were coming here to arrest him once again.
"Is there anything else we need to know Mrs. Jones?" Sue stepped up and told Nancy she could stay with them as long as needed. At which point Nancy smiled thru her tears and said, "Thank you!" I will need some clothes, toilette things for myself, Co you go over and get a few things for me with one of the police men.
The Sargent said they could go in the back door and avoid the living room. The Sargent looked out the window and saw that the Coroner's van was gone and then assuming they had taken away the body by now. Sue and one of the officers escorted her over to the house, while avoiding the blood stained living room, as the CSI crew was still working on evidence. Sue and Nancy collected clothing, shoes and cosmetics for her friend and quietly left through the back door.
While they were collecting everything needed, Sargent Smith called the Blackford Corp. and asked to speak to Robbie. When connected, Robbie asked what was up, and did Mr. Jones get arrested for the mail crime he committed? It was then that Robbie was told of the incident at the victim's house and what they found when they went inside hearing the gun shot. Robbie gasped and almost collapsed in his chair. "There has got to be something else going on here with him. Why was he doing this in the first place?" Robbie asked. Sargent Smith said he would come by in a while once he wrapped up at the house, so please inform Tommy, Mr. Blackford Sr. and all other parties connected with the case to meet with him. Robbie said he would have everyone assembled in the office and asked roughly what time?" "Well, how about about 1/2 hour. It shouldn't take long."
Sargent Smith arrived at the Blackford office building about 45 min later and was directed to the penthouse suites where the headquarters were located. He was shown into Daniel's office where everyone was waiting. He asked for some ice water and a tray was immediately provided while everyone was seated after introductions were made. Daniel asked to have him explain what had happened and what would be happening. The Sargent said there was an ongoing investigation and that Nancy Jones, the wife, was taken to the home next door with her best friend for a few days as the house was a crime scene. The CSI team was combing it thoroughly and would find anything that was relevant. They would know more tomorrow. The big question was why would he do such a thing? You know the old saying, 'Suicide is a permanent solution, to a temporary problem!' I hope they come up with some answers and soon.
After discussing things for about an hour, Sargent Smith left and would be in touch in the morning once things became a bit clearer. Tommy and Robbie sat together holding hands on a love seat in the office and Daniel and Thom sat near the desk discussing other matters. Robbie asked, "What do you think made him do such a thing? Why would anyone take his own life like that?!"
Daniel looked at his son and said, "Each person has flaws. Some good and some, well not so good. Things we keep secrets from, even from those we love. Each person deals with these things in their own way and we never know the outcome. I am not saying we have major secrets from each other, we all hold things privately in our hearts and don't share some of our darkest secrets at all."
Robbie smiled and looked at his dad and remarked this was true, then he reached over and kissed Tommy, and said to him, "I have no secrets from you babe! You know me like an open book and hopefully you know the same about me. OH, and I love you too, BUT only just a little!" Laughingly Tommy smiled and said he loved him too and they kissed gently. Both Dad's smiled.
They realized they had been chatting for a while, when Thom said...." I need to get back to the office. Tommy you need a ride?" "That would be great Dad. I grabbed a cab here. The men stood up and Robbie and Tommy embraced and said they would see each other at home. Robbie walked them down to the elevator and said good-bye, before headed back to his office to continue to work on the menu changes. Good what a day this has been. Thinking to himself thought about dinner, and said he was too tired to cook and didn't feel like going out, so he called Tommy and asked if Thai food was ok? Tommy said sure but made sure to get things spicy and to get the soup Sun tom guy, the spicy chicken soup with corn, mushrooms, lemon grass and galangal. That was his favorite. Robbie replied with that sounded good as well. It was his favorite too. A good chicken curry with peanuts and spinach and maybe some coconut rice. YUMMMM said Tommy. "What time are we meeting at home?" Robbie said he had a few things to finish and would call and have the food delivered at 7:00. "Sounds great and see you home stud."
Just after he hung up Robbie got another phone call. It was Sargent Smith. "Hello, Bruce, (as he had told us to use his first name), and asked what was up and when Bruce replied, it was a bit of a shock! Robbie was told they had found Mr. Jones diary, and it contained some interesting information and asked if could come by tonight about 7:00 or so and discuss things. Robbie replied with "Sure can and why not stay for dinner with us. I am ordering Thai and having it delivered about the same time. Does that sound good?" "I love Thai and I don't seem to get it often enough!!" I'll bring some wine with me, if that is OK?"
"Sure, that sounds great." Robbie puttzed around the apartment and soon he heard the key in the door and in walked his love. Robbie ran over as Tommy set down his briefcase. Tommy took Robbie into his arms and kissed him passionately. "Hey Babe, I missed you all afternoon!" "Me too baby!!" replied Robbie. I am having Thai food delivered and Bruce is coming over with some news about Mr. Jones and his 'diary' I invited him eat with us, if that is OK?"
Just then the bell rang from down stairs and the doorman said that the dinner was on its way up. "Great," replied Robbie and soon the doorbell rang and it was the delivery man with the food. Robbie had paid for it when he called so the man was just given a tip and left after thanking them. Tommy watched his bubble butt as he exited smiling.
Robbie took the food into the kitchen and got out plates and glasses and set up the breakfast bar with placemats and silverware while Tommy took off his coat and tie. Just about then the phone rang again and asked if they were expecting a police Sargent. Robbie replied yes and to send him up.
The doorbell rang once more and Tommy answered the door. Bruce entered with a bottle of wine saying hello to Tommy shaking hands. Robbie said we are going to eat in the kitchen at the bar so we can chat during dinner. When Bruce walked into the kitchen, he greeted Robbie with a smile and a thank you for the kind invitation do dinner. Robbie told everyone to sit down and he placed the platters of food in front of each and opened the wine, generously filling the glasses. They started with the soup and then moved on to the curries and rice. "WOW, this is great, where did you order this from? I have to get food from there. This is really delicious." Robbie replied, that it was the Thai Palace, down town. It is one of his favorites.
When they were just about done with supper, Robbie asked about the Diary that was found. "Boy, that was a surprise to say the least! It starts out that back the end of last year, one of the mail room guys cornered Mr. Jones in his office and made a play for him. The office was basically empty as most of the people on his floor had left and they were alone. Seems the younger man had a thing for older men and Mr. Jones was just his type. SO, he came in, and grabbed Seth's crotch, leaned in and tried to kiss him. Seth was quite shaken but let it continue and seemed to kiss him back. He was totally horny and grabbed the young man's hard cock and told to get down and suck is cock. They were amazed at all of this. Seth stated he ended up fucking the young man bareback and this little episode was repeated over several times in the coming months, several times a week. It continued until about six weeks ago.
Seth wrote in his diary that he didn't want to do this evil act anymore but had strong feeling for the young man. He didn't want to do this anymore and was determined to stop it once and for all. He told the office manager that the young man was slacking in his duties and heard him make a play for one of the employees, but didn't know if they were male or female, but it ended up the young man got fired for this. Then the younger man had started to blackmail Seth and was being paid a $1000 a month. Of course it was starting to play havoc with Seth's finances and how to explain to his wife where the money was going. About that same time is when the incident happened at your restaurant. He was trying to make amends for his former actions with the young man by announcing that gay people were deplorable and needed to be rid of. All of them! Hence the scene he caused!"
"SHIT!" was all Tommy and Robbie could say and looked totally bewildered. "Why can't people just accept who they are and go with the flow?" Bruce looked up and said that not all men and women are comfortable with something they have been taught their whole lives as an evil, terrible thing. So many gay people fight against urges and sometimes succumb to those urges and in their minds, do the unthinkable. They have sex with the person and go against everything they were taught and brought up with. Those feelings can really get in the way. I can only guess that is what happened with Seth. His whole life was unraveling, and this was his way out. He left a wife alone to cope with everything. Thank God they never had children, so at least kids didn't have to go through this.
I also understand there is life insurance and from what I know there is NO suicide clause. Mrs. Jones (Nancy) said the policy was for 3 million dollars. We also learned, that she had a great deal of family money so money will not be an issue for her. She was moving into a hotel suite downtown and was going to look for another house since she stated she could not live or even be in that house ever again. She also said she would have the house painted, cleaned of course, new carpets etc., and put it on the market ASAP. She just wants OUT!!"
Robbie and Tommy looked at Bruce and said a big THANK YOU!!, and that they were glad this was over and could get on with their lives, as they were getting married in like a week. "Congratulations to you both and hope you have long and happy lives together. MMMMM...maybe I should say, that my partner Ted and I got married about 3 years ago and THAT, was the best decision I have ever made!!" The force is totally cool with gay people and there are a lot of us on the force. We are very much in love and have been together for almost 5 years.
Robbie then looked at Tommy and said, "you must come to our reception when we get back from our cruise. We're doing a simple wedding at City Hall with just family and quiet brunch and then we are leaving for two weeks on the Atlantis Cruise Line. Have you both ever been on a gay cruise?" Bruce, replied, with "No but we have actually been discussing it for later on this year. WE could use a bit of fun and get away for a bit. Ted is an architect, very promising career and is doing well and then the 'force' keeps me really busy as well." Bruce then said he had to get home and thanked the boys again for a delightful evening and was glad he could share with what he had learned about the victim. We will be in touch and you both have a great rest of the evening and both Ted and I look forward to seeing you again at the reception. May you both be blessed with a wonderful wedding and many years of happiness!"
