Roadrunner (Part 2) By Rim4you
Chapter One
As Adam and I headed on down the pass towards Truckee, the rush of wind that swirled around me and the scenic beauty of the mountain pass lifted my spirits. It was as though through some quirk of fate, that perhaps Uncle Bill had arranged, from the other side, that Adam and I should meet. Whatever lay ahead, I'd just go with the flow.
"Well, here we are," Adam said, as we shut off the engines to our bikes in the driveway alongside his house. "It's no palace, Runner, but its home. Come on in and let's grab a beer. That is, if you drink beer."
"Sounds like a plan to me. I sure could use a beer about now!"
Adam clapped his hand on my shoulder. He gave me a big smile and together we headed towards the house.
"Nice place you got here, Adam," I remarked as Adam led me into the livingroom which was furnished appropriately in a masculine, southwestern mofif.
"Thanks!" Adam replied. "Make yourself comfortable and I'll round us up some beers."
I removed my leather jacket and laid it on the arm of the sofa. As I sat down I was able, for the first time, to really take a good look at Adam who was removing his gun belt and helmet and putting them up in the foyer closet.
From my reckoning, Adam was slightly taller than I, and I stand a good six feet, two inches. His snug fitting uniform seemed to cling to his body like a second skin. His hair was black and cut short and he was clean shaven. Broad shoulders tapering down to a slim waist, and from where I was sitting a clear view of what seemed to be a full, ample butt. As Adam hung up his jacket he turned slightly to look back at me looking at him. He flashed me with his pearly white teeth in a warm smile.
"You doing okay there, Runner?"
"Yeah." I said. "It's just kind of eerie that of all the people in this world, you just happened along. I guess I was feeling really down and lonely for my Uncle Bill, and owing to the role you played in my uncle's last minutes of life ... meeting you ... I ... uh ..." My voice trailed. I really didn't know what I wanted or needed to say.
"I'm glad I spotted you at the look-out. When you placed that yellow rose on the ground and you began to tremble with emotion, I thought to myself, 'could this guy be a friend of the guy who died here six years ago?' I'm really glad I stopped. It was almost like a premonition, as if a voice was compelling me to stop and find out if you were alright."
"I'm really greatful that you did, Adam," I whispered softly. "and I hope you're not thinking that I'm the kind of guy who can't keep his emotions in check."
"Why would I think that, Runner? A man who refuses to shed a tear every now and then is not a man at all."
I looked up into Adam's sparkling blue eyes as he walked into the livingroom and I smiled.
"Ready for a beer?" Adam asked.
"Yeah!" I answered. "You're not on call or anything? Are you?"
"Nope! I just ended my shift and was heading home when I spotted you. As of now I'm on two weeks vacation!"
"Well, I really won't stay long. I don't want to intrude on any plans you might have made."
"You're not intruding, Runner, and I plan to spend my vacation time right here just kicking back and chilling out!"
With a wink of his eye, Adam turned and headed towards the kitchen. He returned to the livingroom with two beers in his hand. Offering me my beer, he set his down on the coffee table and sat down on the sofa next to me.
For the next couple of hours, Adam and I sat talking. He realised that I needed someone to talk to about the pain I felt at losing my Uncle Bill. He listened with deep concern and every now and then, when my emotions would rise to the surface and my eyes would well up with tears, Adam would gently rub my leg.
"I'm sorry, Adam," I said, wiping the tears from my eyes.
"It's alright, Runner. You have nothing to apologize for. I'm here for you now and hopefully you and I can become good friends."
"I'd like that," I said, "you're a really nice guy, Adam. If you don't mind my asking, how old are you?"
"I'm thirty-two," Adam replied. Then chuckling, he added, "Is that too old for you?"
"Oh, I didn't mean it like that!"
"I know you didn't. I was just playing with you."
Our eyes met in a look of tenderness. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. Here I was chatting away with this gorgeous motorcycle cop still dressed in his uniform. To say that I was attracted to him would be an understatement. I downright wanted him!
Cautiously, Adam raised his hand, and grazed my cheek softly. Then he cupped my chin with his hand and slowly lowered his head towards mine. He brushed his lips ever so lightly across mine. When I offered no resistense, Adam drew me into his powerful arms and kissed me deeply. I returned his kiss with a fiery passion.
"Runner!" Adam whispered, between kisses, "I feel like ... like ..."
"Fate brought us together?" I whispered back, melting in Adam's embrace.
"Yes!" Adam sighed. "When I first laid eyes on you this afternoon, Runner, and saw the tears in your eyes I just knew something special would come of our chance meeting. I wanted to hold you then just how I'm holding you now to soothe all of your pain and anguish! You're beautiful, Runner!"
"Adam! Adam!" I moaned, softly. "There are many facets to me."
"Like a diamond," Adam purred, kissing me over and over.
"I'm not that exquisite," I chuckled, softly.
"You're not?" Adam teased.
"It's just that some things that I find pleasurable and arousing, you may find a little over the edge."
"Then push me over the edge, Runner! Take me with you!"
Chapter Two
The evening sky was settling over the Sierra Nevada's. The stars were beginning to appear and twinkle.
"I guess I should go," I uttered. Not wanting to but not wanting to intrude either.
"Please!" Adam whispered. "Don't go, Runner. Stay the night and perhaps, longer?"
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Uh-huh," Adam nodded his head, "unless you'd prefer not to."
"Oh, but I would like to, Adam! Stay that is."
Adam squeezed my hand and bringing it up to his lips, he kissed my knuckles.
"If I remember you saying, Runner, today is not only an anniversary date for your Uncle Bill, but your birthday as well? Twenty-four?"
"Yes," I replied, softly.
"Well then," Adam smiled, brightly, we shoud celebrate!"
"I haven't celebrated my birthday in six years, Adam."
"I think this year is special, Runner. If you don't mind my saying so, I think your Uncle Bill arranged for us to meet today, on your birthday. I think he wants you to be happy again on your special day."
"Oh Adam!" I gasped, hugging him tightly.
"Tell you what," Adam was giddy with excitement, "we'll go over to Tahoe City, to this quaint restaurant I know that has the juiciest prime rib. A nice bottle of wine to go with it and a stroll along the banks of Lake Tahoe and ..."
"You're gonna wine and dine me, aren't you?"
"Yeah! I am, Runner. And maybe afterwards," Adam hung his head, shyly, "you could take me over the edge?"
"Hmmmmm! That's a very good possibility," I said, smiling.
"I oughta change into something less professional, don't you think?" Adam asked, still dressed in his uniform.
"Please don't," I responded, "I like the way you look in your uniform."
"Are you sure, Runner? I've been in this uniform all day and I'm ... uh ... kind of musky now."
"I'm positive," I grinned. "Do you want me to lose these leather chaps before we go out, Adam?"
"Oh no!" Adam almost gasped. "I like seeing you in them. It makes you look real sexy. I've always had a weakness for guys in leather and I really adore your goatee!"
"Is it alright if I bring in my saddle bag from my bike?"
"Oh sure! You just make yourself completely at home, Runner. As a matter of fact, it looks like it's gonna rain so let's go push our bikes into the garage and we can take my car this evening."
"Sounds like a plan to me."
Together, Adam and I headed outside and rolled our bikes into the garage.
"A corvette?" I gasped, admiring Adam's car.
"Ain't she purty?" Adam purred.
"Candy apple red! What a beauty!"
Walking up behind me, Adam put his arms around my waist and pulled me towards him. My ass made contact with his crotch. He nuzzled his head against my neck.
"She'd look alot better with a hot stud like you, Runner, behind the wheel."
Leaning back, I sought Adam's lips to kiss him and clasping his hands I drew them down to the bulge in my crotch.
"Happy Birthday, Runner!" Adam whispered, sweetly.
