If you have taken the time to get this far in the story I would appreciate a short email. ringinmine@yahoo.com
If the next couple of chapters seem bunched together, there were a couple of really short chapters. To get the story out to my readers with out the long delays between postings, I have combined logical chapters into one. Enjoy.

Ring in Mine: Chapter 19
Late in the afternoon Jerry graced my room with his presence.
"Hey brother, how's the big hero. Isn't it great!" Jerry exclaimed as he walked into the room.
I was a little puzzled. Jerry had never called me brother or bro before. It was always Bobby. Was this something I had forgotten this past week. I remembered Bruce and the doctor this morning. The doctor was pleased that I still remembered him on his afternoon visit.
"What's so great Jerry?" I asked bewildered. A look of emotional pain crossed his face. His smile and exuberance evaporated.
"I thought you would be excited as me. I'm sorry I'll go now." Tears were falling down his face.
"Jerry, stop, don't go. I have forgotten everything anyone has told me since the fight with my dad. Tell me what I should know." I pleaded.
"You and dad already had a fight. What was it about?" Jerry asked. I knew that we were somehow not connecting.
"It was about pressing charges against Jeremy. My dad was upset when Jeremy told him I was a fag." I answered.
"Whew, that's a relief. I thought you had a fight with your real dad.?" Jerry sighed with relief. "He thinks you walk on water."
I buzzed the nurse. "How much pain medication am I on. I can't make heads or tails of what my friend is talking about."
Before the nurse could answer Jerry tried to connect the dots for me. "Not friend, brother."
I was really confused. I closed my eyes as the room started spinning and I became sick to my stomach. Jerry had an older sister but no brothers. I heard the familiar sound of the nurse adding something to my IV.
"I think Bobby needs to rest for a while." The nurse advised.
Jerry held my hand as consciousness faded back into oblivion. "We always have been brothers."
When I rejoined the real world Papa and Grams were there.
"Mother, I need some one on one time with Bobby. Would you mind getting me a Coke?" Papa asked.
"How much are you going to tell him?" Grams was concerned.
"Who were your last visitors?" Papa asked.
I told him what I could remember of Bruce's visit, and about Mom moving into the guest room. I briefly told him about my condition and my confusing visit with Jerry.
"Mother I am going to start at the beginning and tell him everything. He seems to be remembering now." Papa explained his plan to Grams.
Grams left the room and Papa asked me to listen to the whole story before I asked questions, and there would be questions or before I got angry. Now I was just a little anxious.
"I am going to start with your Aunt June and your mom. Growing up June was always jealous of anything your mom had. Sometimes she was hurtful about it. Like the time June smashed the head of your mom's new porcelain doll with a hammer. She ripped the body and smashed all the arms and legs. When she was out of control, she was punished. She would change but never for very long."
"This continued as they grew up June would do anything to drive a wedge between your mom and her friends. When your dad asked your mom to marry him, June was livid. Your dad wouldn't have been my first choice for a son-in-law. He was a bit on the wild side. He drank and didn't go to church much. I think the bad boy attitude is what attracted your mom."
"They were engaged and the wedding was going to be a quick one before Robert began showing. I don't know if June knew about your brother, but she managed to get your dad just a little tipsy and took him to bed, well not bed but the back of his van. Your parent's were already married before June realized that Jeremy was on the way."
"She was going out with Ray. June told him that the baby was his. He made an honest woman out of her. When they didn't seem to be able to have a second child the doctors discovered that Ray was sterile and probably had been sterile for a long time. As Jeremy grew up he looked more like your dad every day. Ray was a real man and accepted Jeremy as his son and tried his best but June and your dad spoiled him rotten. That's how he turned out, rotten to the core."
Papa paused so I thought he was finished. "That explains why dad paid so much attention to Jeremy, but why did he seem to hate me so much?"
"That's the second part of my story." Papa continued.
"Your dad traveled a lot. Your mom was happiest when he was gone. She would complain about his drinking and he would hit her. We tried to get her to leave but it really wasn't the right thing to do at the time. Marriage was important and you did what you could to try and make it work."
"Your mom was active in the church and served in numerous roles. On the activities committee she worked side by side with a friend from high school. The oldest of three brothers. He was a nice guy and treated your mom like a woman should be treated. They were both married and knew better but during one of your father's extended trips things went a step too far."
"That is why your dad chose Jeremy over you. He was something you could never be; his biological son."
"They knew what they did was wrong and they made their peace with the church and their spouses. Your dad didn't have a leg to stand on because of June and the other affairs he had while on business trips. So they continued on as they always did."
"So Papa, who's my father?" I asked.
"Think about what Jerry said earlier?" Papa said.
What did Jerry say? `Not friend, brother!' "Jerry really is my brother? That's cool."
I thought for a moment. "Bruce always treated me just like he treated Jerry. He never missed a swim meet. Did Bruce always know?"
"Always. He tried his best and felt badly about how your dad treated you. Bruce has always loved you. I was here when he told you how much he loved you. I am sorry you don't remember it." Papa filled in the gaps.
"Jerry is in the waiting room thinking you don't want to be brothers. He's hurting right now." Papa explained.
"Papa, will you tell him about my memory and then send him in?" I asked.
Jerry walked through the door unsure of his reception.
"Jerry, isn't it great. If I had to choose another brother and a different dad who else would be but you and Bruce. Just remember you might have to tell me everything again tomorrow."
A smile lit up his face. All doubts were gone. He reached across to hug me and I cringed away from him and the smile faded.
"Jerry, the news is great. I am just a little too tender to hug yet." I offered the reason for my reluctance. "Just hold my hand and let's talk."
That was where Bruce found us hours later. "I'm glad I caught both of you here. I have a question to ask."
Bruce waited for me to turn off the show Jerry and I were watching.
"Bobby I've been talking with your mother. After the divorce is final would either of you mind if I started dating Marie?" He asked hesitantly. It took me by surprise to hears Mom's name.
We looked at each other with smiles on our faces. Jerry had always liked my mom. Dad was the scary one. I had always liked and looked up to Bruce and having him looking after my mom would be one less thing I need to worry about.
"Brothers!" We said in unison. I accepted the painful hug with I hope not too much cringing.
They were going to let me go home on Christmas Eve day. I was ready to be out of the hospital. They took forever slowly letting me eat regular foods. I was anticipating Christmas dinner at Grams. The menu would be modified to include foods they would let me eat, but it would be home cooked.
Jerry had been spending afternoons in my room. We talked, played cards and watched TV. I was looking forward to going home the next day. When Jerry came in the room it was obvious there was something he was dying to tell me. Janitorial was buffing the hallway so He shut the door so we could talk in peace.
"I just overheard two of the orderlies talking in the hallway. There is a guy on this floor that has a ring in his dick. Can you imagine putting a needle in your dick?" I wasn't sure if the idea excited Jerry or disgusted him.
"So, is that cool or gross?" I asked hesitantly.
"I'm not sure. It just sounds like it would hurt a lot. I bet it looks cool though." Jerry was definitely more on the excited side. "What guy would do that?"
"He's probably a regular guy that doesn't mind doing something a little different." I replied testing the waters of Jerry's opinion.
"I'd love to see what one looks like!" Jerry declared.
It would be better to get this elephant out of the room. "Jerry can you help me to the bathroom? I got rid of the catheter this morning and I am a little shaky. I really don't want to share little Bob with the nurse on duty."
Leaning on Jerry's shoulder we made it into the bathroom. Jerry turned to leave. "Jerry I need your help. I can either grab the rail or hold little Bob."
Jerry chose to keep me steady while I took care little Bob. He nearly let me fall staring at Bob's shiny ring. I held my breath waiting for Jerry's response.
"Can I touch it?"
"Go ahead and before you ask; it really didn't really hurt except for a second. I had my nipple pierced but it got ripped out when my dad attacked me. I was unconscious so I don't know if that hurt or not. But getting it did." I explained before Jerry could ask.
He turned it around looking at it from all angles. "Where did you get it?"
I told the story minus the sex. At this point I wasn't taking any chances of losing my new family.
"We're brothers. Wouldn't it be cool if we matched." Jerry's attitude set my mind at ease.
I told him if he picked up the needle and the ring at a store that carried body jewelry I would do it for him. He seemed reluctant until I explained he would be the third guy I had helped out.
Jerry wanted to leave in time to stop at the Silver Loft in the mall. He must have been really interested in getting a ring for his dick.
The lights were dim and I was having trouble getting to sleep. Using my IV stand as a rolling cane I walked to the nurse's station and asked the young orderly for a glass of warm milk, chocolate preferably. He promised to bring it down as soon as it came out of the microwave and cooled a bit.
I was standing next to the bed trying to figure out how I was going to climb back in. The orderly set the warm chocolate milk down. He lowered the bed to it's lowest position and helped me back in. During the process my jewelry was exposed.
"That's hot looking." He exclaimed.
After finally getting me situated he wasn't in a hurry to pull the covers up. His eyes were glued to my jewelry decorated dick. I gave him the same speech I gave Jerry. The young man was looking at it very closely.
Then he moved beyond looking and slipped it between his lips. It had been a week since I had even had a chance to beat off and now this good looking guy was driving me up the wall.
He alternated trying to take it deep with sucking on just the head playing with the ring with his tongue. Just as my balls started pulling up signaling release, he moved down to my balls. Sucking first one and then the other into his warm moist mouth. I shoved my good hand into my mouth to keep from shouting out in pleasure. It wouldn't do either of our reputations any good to get caught.
He moved back to my dick pulling on the ring with his teeth. His pager beeped. Three quick strokes and I unloaded into his mouth.
"I've got to run." He gasped as he rearranged my covers. "Thanks."
We both forgot the warm milk but I had no trouble falling asleep.
This was the first chapter beyond the original story. Due to input from my readers we will learning more about Bobby. I would appreciate hearing from you. ringinmine@yahoo.com
