Perfect Stranger 2

As Chris walked to the Patrol truck, he had thought about that man back inside. He seen him in there before and even asked a couple people in the bar about him, they were shocked that had taken a interest in someone. After conversing with a couple people, he knew that his name was Max, and he was your typical user, one night stand man, which did not appeal to Chris in the least bit.

But he could not get that man out of his head, he seemed taller then Chris, must have been standing at 6'3" or maybe even bigger. He had black hair that seemed it would feel like silk if he ran his fingers thru it. And those eyes.

When they looked at each other, every muscle in Chris's body tried to turn away but failed, Chris swore he saw the universe in those emerald green eyes that pierced right into his soul. Of course the leather jacket hid his chest but Chris wanted something to think about later anyway, and oh that wonderful five o'clock shadow that was on Max's face. It was icing on the cake, Chris did not like this at all, it scared him, and he knew that it would happen someday, and he had hoped soon, but it was uncharted water, which made him feel confused and all alone in this big world.

As Chris continued to drive to his farm, he could not take his thoughts away from Max, and he hoped that he would soon get over these feelings, he came to the conclusion that he would not go to the bar this week.

As Max watched him leave he felt emptiness, out of the corner of his eye he saw the bartender walking toward him.

"Hey Max, how are ya tonight?" Cory the bartender spoke, with a high effeminate voice that made Max wince.

Getting no reply from Max he continued, "You know he asked about you tonight sweetheart."

Now he had Max's full attention, "What did he want" He tried not to seem eager to know but failed horribly. This made Cory smile, and now Brad and Mark stopped talking to hear what was going on.

"He wanted to know about you, your name, your relationships, and you look hot tonight" Cory was obviously getting a kick out of this and loved the fact that he had Max in his grip.

"Well what did you tell him?" Max had irritation in his voice and Cory smiled with amusement as he was twirling his fingers in his red hair innocently.

"Well I told him your name sweetie, and I really do not know much more about you, and wouldn't mind to get closer with you... how bout tonight? And I just told him I see you with a lot of guys so you must be great in bed, and you can feel free to show me anytime"

Max ignoring the passes, "You told him I was with a lot of guys!" Max roared with anger. People around the bar brought their attention to his table and started obviously talking about Max.

Cory seemed un-phased "well it was the truth and his name is Chris by the way"

Cory turned on his heels and walked back over to the bar, but stopping first to talk to another guy at a table. Brad broke the silence "well at least he thinks your good in bed"

Max looked heart broken, "I sure that won him over" he said sarcastically lowering his head looking at his boots and studying the layer of dust that laid on top of them, "I think he's lost all interest after hearing that I am nothing more then a one night man, and no thanks to Cory over there."

Cory Not missing a beat raised his head at the mention of his name, and winked at Max, unaware of what they were talking about. He still thought he should take a chance.

Max sighed, "I always get the guys I don't want"

"What makes you think that he not as infatuated as yourself, for all you know he could be head over heels with you too" Mark said concerned for his friend, but deep down he knew the answer.

"Yeah I doubt it, they way he left! not even looking at me. Showing no interest at all. Man you'd think he was straight" He paused to look up, then stood. "Look guys I got to go, I have work tomorrow, big case"

"When has that ever stopped you" Brad said wondering why this guy got into Max so deeply, but he had to admit that he was very hot, and to have him as a trophy would be astounding and not to mention the bragging rights that came with that.

Max just replied with an icy glare, he knew exactly what Brad was thinking. He walked out of the bar into the cold night, lit solely by the orange glow from the metal halide streetlight. Looking above to the stars wondering what the stranger who he now known as Chris was thinking, if he was thinking about him too, or if he had even taken an interest in him like max had done.

As Chris got out of the truck he paused for a moment to look up into the sky thinking of how things could had been different, would his parents be okay with him being gay? Would it matter? And his thoughts drifted for a second to back to Max.

He was soon interrupted by the dog barking inside, which made him feel bad for leaving her alone all day cooped up inside the house. He opened the front door and squatted down so that the little red miniature Dachshund could jump up and lick his face, having had seen enough of her master she then run off to go do her duty in the yard and sniffed around to check if any other animal had crossed her property. Chris left the door open so that she could wonder back in at her leisure and started going thru the mail, as usual nothing good besides the bills and his Newsweek magazine, he made his way to bed, he was exhausted from the hard day of work he had.

As Max got into his blue '65 Mustang, he wondered where Chris lived, If he was a cowboy, since the body he had was only accentuated by the black leather hat that he wore with the matching cowboy boots.

As he drove home he passed 35 Rockwood drive, he always thought that it was a beautiful house, he remembered from when he was a kid. He always wanted to live there, it brought back memories of him trying to convince his mom to get a horse and they could keep it in their front yard. He looked down the long gravel driveway to see a dark house. In the past few years he'd herd things that the parents died and left the kid everything and he just couldn't keep up with it. Now on some days when he drove by he saw the figure tending to a couple horses. But the ranch was definitely not like the one he remembered.

As Max got home, the house seemed extra dark and almost too quiet. He put his keys down on the table that was next to the door. Flipping the light switch, expecting the room to be illuminated with the soft white light, it failed, and the room remained dark. Thinking nothing of it, he flipped on the TV and the room was filled with muffled sounds and a shimming light. As he walked to his room he dropped his jeans as he always did, and put his wallet up, flipped the bedroom light on, and put on his comfy grey t-shirt and boxer shorts. He lay down on the couch and he thought he heard a door close, and a car drive away.

"Must been the TV" he said to himself, as he dozed off.

The next week was hectic for Chris, working 14 hour shifts left him hardly enough time to sleep, and the fact that he still had horses to feed in the morning did not make things easier.

By Friday he was beat and working on another long shift did not exactly make him the most happy and desirable person, thank god today he had street duty, setting up his radar gun and shooting it at cars was about the best thing that happened today.

He watched as a white Mercedes flew by, nearly doubling the speed limit. He groaned as he flipped the switch for the lights and gunned the truck, he had to admit, he liked doing that.

As Chris called in to the station he could see the man in the car swearing and hitting the steering wheel, he absolutely hated dealing with people like this.

Chris walked up to the car and the driver rolled down the window.

"Good morning Sir, can I have you driver license and registration, also can I see your insurance card."

He got out his wallet and opened the glove box "Can you speed things up officer I am in a hurry"

"By the way I clocked you going 80, are you aware the speed limit is 45?"

"As I said I am in a hurry some people have important jobs"

"Ok well let me just run a check and see if this vehicle is stolen and I am going to have to write you up for not wearing a seat belt, and speeding.... The Law is important." Chris tried to stay clam, just cause he was a cop did no way mean he was not important.

The man reached in his wallet and pulled out a fifty and tried to give it to Chris.

"Sir you are now trying to bribe a officer, and let you know this, if I was money hungry I would have not become a cop, You better get comfy cause your just your ass deeper now."

The man now became restless and got out of the car. "I am going to ask you to get back in your car sir, you're only making this a longer process"

He swung at Chris catching him off guard, hitting him the lower jaw, and then catching his eye.

Before the man got ready to hit again Chris had him in handcuffs. "Man, what's with you people, can't I have one good week!" Chris then proceeded to read him his rights.

"You fucking pig let me go, I'll make sure you'll regret this" Chris now turned to take a good look at the man in the back seat he was about 28, but he looked like he was in good shape and he had a business suit on.

"Look to make this easier on the both of us I am going to ask you to shut up, believe me I am a nicer guy when I don't have a headache."

Chris rubbed his forehead then his cheek; he looked down to see the blood on his hand. Chris radioed into the station for help, by the time he got done there, and the medics can to dress the gash on his face from the guys nails. The other officers felt bad for him; they were short staffed so they were all feeling the affects of the long hours. They told him to go home. Chris being the stubborn person he was, decided he was going to finish his shift but he just stayed on his street; Rockwood dr. His shift ended at 3 that morning and it was now 11:30. He looked to the stars drinking his coffee, chuckling to himself thinking of the "cop image" of coffee and doughnuts.

Max headed home from the bar. He expected to see Chris there, but he never showed, he taped his brakes to slow down, when he saw the patrol truck behind the trees, he tried to look at the cop but it was too dark, the fact the windows were tinted did not help out any. But he just imagined a hot blonde haired guy, and that made him think about the man he was waiting for at the bar.

Chris was startled by a emergency on the radio, It was on his street not far from where he was, Radioing back, he gunned the truck down the street, with the whine of the siren and the flashing strobes of red, and blue lights.

Max walked into his house, Flipping the switch he remembered that he still had not changed the bulb, looking to the wall he noticed it was unplugged, "Odd" he thought to him self, he reached down to plug it in.

Max was about to touch the cord when unexpected pain came a cross his neck, he fell to the floor, not realizing what was going on, he saw a blurry man dressed in black with a gun, "You been messing with the wrong people fag"

Max discretely hit the emergency button on his cell phone under his jacket, unnoticed by the man in front of him.

"You shouldn't fuck with other people's business, because of you someone was arrested today, and now I can't finish the deal."

"Its always easier to kill people when there unconscious" The man knocked max out, as max saw black the roar of a diesel engine and a siren filled their ears.

"Fuck" the man left a bleeding Max on the floor.
