Chapter 6

"I can't thank you enough for letting me stay here."

"It's no problem, Bri, you're my cousin," replies Kevin, "I'm not going to send you away to stay in some motel or something. Especially not after you just called off your wedding."

"Yes, well, you just filed for divorce," replies Brian, "So don't sit here acting like you don't have any problems of your own, Kev."

"Well, that's true," replies Kevin as he sits down on the living room sofa, "I suppose I would be kidding myself if this divorce doesn't create a ton of problems for me, and very possibly the group."

"The group? What do you mean, Kev?"

"Well, judging by the desperation in Kristin's voice last night, I'd say that there's absolutely no chance that she will consent to the divorce. So, I guarantee that it will have some effect on the group when it gets out, and it will get out, that I'm in the middle of a non-amicable divorce, and that you've called off your engagement to Leighanne only a week before the wedding."

"How would the press find out though?"

"Brian, please, don't be so stupid. I'm sure that as we speak, Kristin and Leighanne are planning on how to best get back at us. I wouldn't be surprised if by morning's light, my homosexuality and your bisexuality will be headline news in every tabloid in the country."

"They wouldn't do that."

"Brian, if I've learned one thing in my life, it's never underestimate a woman scorned."

"I still don't believe that Kristin and Leighanne would go to the tabloids."

"Well, Brian we have to be ready for every possibility," replies Kevin, "I hope you don't mind Brian, but I've invited the other guys over. I'm going to tell them the truth tonight, about my homosexuality and my filing for divorce. Whether or not you tell them about breaking off your engagement and calling off the wedding, is totally up to you."

Brian sits on the sofa, contemplating whether or not to tell the other guys the truth or not. Kevin gets up from his seat next to Brian on the sofa when he hears the doorbell ring. He calmly walks over to the door, and opens it to reveal Howie, AJ, and Nick. Kevin greets them, and invites them all inside.

"Hey Kev," replies Nick, as he walks in, "Hey Bri."

AJ looks around for a moment before replying, "Where's Kris and Leigh? Aren't they joining us tonight?"

"No, AJ, they're not," replies Kevin, "Actually, that's why I asked you all to come here. I have something to tell you all, and it's going to come as quite a shock. You may all want to have a seat."

----

"I still can't believe that this is happening," replies Kristin, "First Kevin files for divorce and now Brian breaks your engagement a week before the wedding?"

"I can't believe it either, Kris," replies Leighanne, "I almost think that perhaps we should do something. Something to make them pay."

"Like what?"

"Well, the tabloids would simply love this. I can see the headlines now, Backstreet Boys Kevin and Brian are gay!"

"Brian's not gay, though, remember, Leigh?"

"As far as I'm concerned any man who desires to have sex with another man is gay," replies Leighanne, "I don't care if he is also attracted to women."

"Yeah, I agree with ya there, Leigh," replies Kristin, "So, I suppose we could go to the tabloids. It would certainly teach them a lesson that we aren't going to let them get away with hurting us."

"Yeah, that it would. But, then too, I'm not sure I want to. I mean, despite everything, I do still love Brian. And I'm sure that you still love Kevin. Do we really want to hurt the men that we love?"

"After what they did to us? Hell yes!"

"Calm down a moment, Kris. Alright, maybe going to the tabloids wouldn't be such a bad idea. It'll certainly be the story of the millennium."

----

"So are you guys all packed and ready to go tomorrow morning?"

"Yeah, Lance," replies Chris, "All packed and ready to start yet another tour."

"Well, this is no ordinary tour, remember," replies Justin, "We've certainly never co-headlined with the Backstreet Boys before."

"Yeah, that's true," replies Joey, "I hope they won't all be totally sickened by the fact that 80% of *NSYNC is gay. It'd put a real strain on the tour."

"Yeah, well, they're just have to deal with it, Joe," replies JC, "There's nothing they can do about it. If they don't like it, that's just tough, cause there's no way management is going to call off this tour. Considering they've invested millions into advertising it, and every scheduled date is already sold out."

"Yeah, I know," replies Joey, "So, JC, Chris, are there any members of the BSB that you're hoping are gay? So that perhaps you two can finally have boyfriends?"

"Well, I'll admit that I kinda have a thing for Brian, but it's not like I stand a snowball's chance in hell with him."

"Yeah, that's true Chris," replies Justin, "At least that's what I would certainly assume considering that Brian's getting married in a week."

"Why are we starting the tour now anyway?" replies JC, "Why was it scheduled so that we start the tour now, only having time for the opening concert before we all end up taking a break for Brian's wedding day?"

"I wish I could answer that," replies Lance, "I don't really understand it myself. Johnny and I talked about it, and he doesn't understand it either. I mean in this break time for Brian's wedding, there is no time allotted for a honeymoon either. We're starting back touring the two days after the wedding."

"Well, that's certainly strange," replies Joey, as the other members of *NSYNC all nod in agreement.

----

"You look so serious, Kev," replies Howie, as he sits down in a chair near the sofa, "Something wrong?"

"Well, this is going to come as a very big shock, so brace yourselves," replies Kevin, "Brian already knows this, he's been my confidant for the last several days. But, now it's time that you all know."

"Know what, Kevin?" replies Nick, who by this point has gotten just a little bit annoyed, "All this beating around the bush is getting us nowhere. Just spit it out already!"

"Okay, Nick," replies Kevin, "I'm gay."

"Come again?" asks AJ, whose a bit taken aback.

"I'm gay."

"That's what I thought you said," replies AJ, "But, how?"

"What do you mean how?"

"You're married, Kevin! Why in God's name did you marry Kristin, if you're gay? You have to be kidding. He's got to be kidding. You are kidding right?"

"No, AJ, I'm not," replies Kevin, "As for Kristin, I've filed for divorce."

Before anyone can comment, Brian stands up and replies, "Nick already knows what I'm about to say..."

"Brian, don't tell me you're gay too," replies Howie.

"No, Howie, I'm not gay," replies Brian, as Howie breaths a sigh of relief, "I'm bi-sexual, and I've called off the wedding and broken my engagement."

"I can't believe this," replies Howie, "I can't fucking believe this! Kevin and Brian are fucking fairies! I'm out of here! I hope you guys enjoy Hell, because that's right where you're going. You make me sick you dick licking faggots!"

Howie gets up from his chair, and leaves the house, slamming the door behind him. Kevin and Brian by this point are both sitting on the sofa, lightly hugging each other, as a few tears roll down both of their faces, having just heard those hurtful words coming from Howie, a person who they both considered a very good friend. AJ simply gets up and walks over to Kevin and Brian, before putting his arms around both of them and replying, "I just want you guys to know, that whatever makes you happy is fine with me. Howie is way out of line, but I'm sure he'll come around eventually."

Kevin and Brian just nod to AJ, as AJ continues to comfort them. All the while Nick's head is swarming with thoughts, the most prominent of them being, "Kevin's gay? Kevin's gay?"

----

To be continued...

Well, I know it's short, but here it is. I hope you liked it. I'm not exactly sure when the next installment will be out, as I've been very busy as of late, but I will get it out as soon as I can. I'll also try not to make it an over two-month wait again. Please send any and all comments, good or bad, and any suggestions to me. I love hearing from my readers, and I really like to know what you are all thinking about the direction of this story. Anyway, until next time, stay *NSYNC.
