-Spencer's perspective-
"So...you enjoying the game?" Mr. Glover asked me. He had paid for my way in and insisted on buying me something to snack on as well.
"Yeah. Thanks for paying my way in." I ended the thank you with a grin. I had no idea of what was happening down on the field, but I didn't want to hurt Mr. Glover's feelings.
"You'll have to come with us more often, Spencer." Mr. Glover said. "Mason seems a lot happier when you're around him. He is also doing a lot better. Maybe he's trying to impress you." Mr. Glover winked at me. Garret then whispered something into his ear and Mr. Glover looked shocked. He then looked at me and said, "Disregard what I said. I don't want to give you the wrong impression of Mason."
I was confused as to what I should say, so I nodded and went back to watching what was happening on the field. Even though I didn't understand a thing, I still had fun. Macy would go back and forth from hardcore sports fan to your typical girl, so we were able to talk some. I mainly talked to Garret though. He wasn't that into football, his things were track and swimming. For a ten-year-old he was pretty fun to talk to.
Around half time, Macy and I spotted Hannah, Isabella, and the other cheerleaders getting ready to cheer. Daniel was down there with Hannah, his arm around her waist and his lips glued to hers.
"I didn't know Daniel was here." Macy said. "I thought you said I would be the only one here."
"Well...I knew he'd be with Hannah and none of us get along with her so the best thing to do is to stay away from them."
"What is it, bud?" Mr. Glover asked. I seriously hate it when parents want to be a part of the world of teenagers.
Macy answered instead of me. "Daniel is a friend of ours but Spencer and a lot of the others want to beat the shi-...crap out of her so Spencer wants to dodge both of them."
I then added, "Only when they are together though. If Hannah is ever too busy for Daniel then we'll hang out with him."
"I'm sorry, bud. I know what it's like to lose friends due to a girl. Believe it or not I was in Daniel's position, somewhat. You see, I was friends with Mason's mom when she was pregnant with him and throughout the rest of her high school days and all of her college days. I was in love with her, even when she was with Spencer's real dad. My friends would get pissed because every time she'd come crying, I'd be there for her. Then the rumors went around after everyone found out she was pregnant. My guy friends made me choose between them or `that whore.' No day goes by that I regret that decision. But I would have still liked to keep my friends."
"I'm sorry, Mr. Glover." I said. I really didn't understand why he said all that. But I guess he could tell.
"What I'm saying is that even though you don't like Hannah, don't make Daniel choose. You could lose him forever."
"I understand now. Thanks Mr. Glover." I would have to try to give Hannah a chance. I need to talk to her so everything can be settled. I know she doesn't like me because Daniel likes me, but I want her to know that nothing will happen between him and me.
I looked down to see that Daniel was looking up at me. Hannah and the other sluts...cheerleaders were walking out onto the field. Daniel kept his eyes locked with mine and started to walk toward where the restrooms are.
"I need to go pee. I'll be back in a minute." I knew Daniel wanted to talk, if he didn't he would have averted his eyes when I looked at him.
I got into the restroom and he was standing by the sinks. I was surprised there was no one else in there. I was hoping there would be so I wouldn't have to look at one of the most gorgeous guys in the world.
"What do you want?" I asked. I looked down toward his feet.
"You know exactly who I want, Spencer." Daniel said, getting closer. "I want you." He lifted my chin so I could see his face. He looked sincere. He then leaned in and kissed me on the lips. He wrapped his arms around me and I did the same to him. I had no clue why I was doing this, it just felt right.
When we separated I rested my head on his shoulder as we held each other. "We can't do this, Daniel. It's not right."
"Yes it is!" He somewhat yelled. "You know we're meant for each other. But you keep saying that you're with Trey and you can't be with me. If you told him the truth then I'm sure you two could still be friends."
"But you're with Hannah."
"I told you I'd end it with her for you."
"Will you let me finish! What I'm trying to say is that I can fucking tell you love her! Every fucking time you kiss her you smile! When we kiss it's sincere but you don't smile! You don't smile." We let go of each other and stepped back.
"That's only because I know that I may never be able to kiss you again. Would you smile if you knew that when you say goodbye you knew you'd never see them?"
"I guess not."
"That's why I don't smile, Spencer. I love you too much and the pain is sharp. I feel complete when we kiss and then when our lips separate, my heart rips into a thousand pieces." I could see the tears in his eyes now.
"Daniel...I'm sorry."
"You know what?! Fuck you! I'm tired of waiting on you! You fucking keep me hanging and toying with me! I'm tired of your shit." Daniel was right in my face.
Just then I heard, "What the fuck is going on in here?!" Both Daniel and I looked over to see Mason standing there. He like teleported over and got into Daniel's face. If you don't leave I swear I will kick your ass. I don't care if I get kicked off the football team either." Daniel glared right back at Mason. Tears started to build up in his eyes and he then broke and ran out of the restroom crying.
"Is everything okay?" Mason asked. He was himself again.
"Yeah. I just-...I have no clue." I started to shake.
Mason then let out a small laugh and wrapped his arms around me. "Well I promise that if everything isn't okay, you can call me up and I'll fix everything."
"Thanks, Mason." Not thinking, I stood on my tip-toes and kissed him on the cheek. I then blushed and tried to get away, realizing what I had just done.
I think he blushed too. "It's okay, dude. I can understand why you'd do that. I'm completely okay with it." He then let go of me. I didn't try to run. "Now both of us need to get back out there before we get in trouble." We both smiled and then exited the bathroom. I saw Jordan up ahead with Megan so I decided to take the long way back to my seat.

"So, did you have fun, babe?" Trey asked. It was Saturday and he was over at my place. Mom invited him over so she could meet him. Right now he and I are up in my room watching TV and cuddling.
"Yeah. I wish you could've gone though." I kissed him on the cheek.
"I was busy. I had to go to my sister's dance recital thing."
"You could have ditched her." I say smiling.
"I would have if my mom would've let me. But no. She was all `Trey you can't be doing that to Natalie! She's only five! Blah! Blah! Blah!'" His "mom" voice sounded like a constipated monster. When I told him that, he mumbled that that's how she actually sounds. We had a good laugh about that.
Neither Trey nor I are into video games so all we really do when we're together is cuddle and talk and watch TV and annoy Lizzie and Jessie when we know they are together. Now that I'm with Trey, it seems like everyone, from asshole Lizzie to sincere Jessie, is hinting I should be with Daniel now. They always want him and me to be near each other or alone together.
The one time I confronted one of them about it, not going to reveal whom I asked, they said that Trey wasn't Daniel and that Daniel was more fun and more right for me. What they didn't understood was that Trey may not be the "perfect" boyfriend, but he is there for me. When I don't have anyone to call, for instance when Lizzie and Jessie are out or Macy is dealing with family matters or Kurt and Daniel are feuding, Trey seems to always be able to sit there and listen to me.
"Whatcha thinkin' bout babe?" Trey said, lightly squeezing me.
"Nothing. I'm just glad that I have you."
"Spencer, I can tell something's on your mind."
"How so?" We separated and sat crisscross in front of each other.
"I said Canyon's name and you didn't cringe, mad sigh, roll your eyes, or anything that you normally do."
"Oh. Wait...what did you say about Canyon?"
"He wants to hang out with us. He knows that we're dating and wants to meet my boyfriend again."
I knew that Trey and Canyon still talked. For some reason I don't like Canyon. Trey has told me that he and Canyon aren't going to date because he loves me, not him, but I still get irritated when I hear his name. The thing that shocked me was that I was out to Canyon apparently. "When did you tell him about us?"
"Never. One day he just asked me how my boyfriend was when we were talking on the phone. I asked him who he was talking about and then he said that sexy brunette with those eyes you could get lost in." I looked at him curiously. "Well...he didn't use those exact words, but he described you down to a T. I guess the one time he saw us he just knew we'd end up together."
"When does he want to meet up?" I didn't feel like asking him any other questions or trying to stop us from going.
"He wants to meet up tomorrow around three-ish. His parents make him go to church still so he can't meet us before noon, and he doesn't want to go straight from church to wherever we're going to meet up."
I sighed a sigh of relief. "I already made plans with Mason. We're going to go to the library and find a little more stuff. You know that this project is important. And with Mason's schedule, there isn't a lot of time to work together. He has football, tutoring, Isabella, family, and more football."
"Just bring him along!" Trey said smiling. "I knew that you'd find a way to get out of it so I asked Canyon if it would be okay if you brought a friend and he said it was okay."
"Do you have to think of every little detail?" I asked smiling.
"Kinda. If I didn't I would be a horrible boyfriend."
"Well it's too late to try to be a good boyfriend now so you can quit trying." I said laughing this time.
Trey hit me with a pillow. We started to wrestle a bit, he then ended up on top of me. He then leaned down and whispered in my ear, "You are a very rude boyfriend."
"I know. Maybe I need a spanking." I couldn't help but laugh at my sad attempt at being naughty. Trey also got a laugh out of it and collapsed on top of me. When we both stopped laughing, Trey looked into my eyes and I looked right back. His lips then dived right towards mine. I loved the feel of his lips on mine. Daniel is a great kisser too, but since I'm dating Trey I don't have to feel guilty.
He slowly rose a little off me, not ending our little make out session. His hands then slid up my shirt and onto my chest. Trey's lips left mine and he whispered into my ear once more. "I'm not wanting to have sex. I just want to feel your body." He then went back to kissing and his hands went back to exploring. The only parts of me he felt were my tummy, chest, back, and ass. He later commented that he didn't want to go too far and ruin what we have.
"Boys! Dinner is done!" My mom called up the stairs.
Trey's hands immediately left my body and he nearly jumped off the bed at the sound of my mom's voice. "We'll be down in a minute!" I shouted back. I then started to laugh because Trey was so scared.
"What's so funny?" He asked.
"You." I continued laughing. "Even if my mom caught us she would just shut the door. She would then pretend nothing happened when she saw us but I would mysteriously find a box of condoms in my underwear drawer."
He smiled. "Your mom seems like a nice woman."
"She is. Just...she's a mom. That's the only way I can explain her faults."
Trey and I straightened up, our clothes not our sexualities, and went down the stairs to find my favorite meal on the table and my favorite woman sitting at the table all alone.
"You fixed spaghetti?!" I asked my mom.
"Well, I knew you loved it so I decided that it would be the best meal for tonight."
"Thank you, Mrs. McAlister." Trey said as we sat down at the table. Both my mom and I stared at Trey, waiting for him to get his food first. "Umm...what are we waiting for?" Trey asked.
I giggled. "You're our guest so you get your food first."
He started to scoop some spaghetti onto his plate. "Normally I would have argued that you two should get your food first, but if you're anything like your son, Mrs. McAlister, I'd be arguing for hours and still lose."
Both my mom and I laughed. "Yes, you would have. Spencer got his stubbornness from me." The rest of the night went great. Mom and Trey got along great. I also learned that Trey does track and swims. He and I had never discussed sports so I didn't know if he did any or not.
The only part of the night that upset me was when Megan came home from her date with Jordan and mumbled "fag" under her breath as she passed the dining room. That caused my mom to get up and tell her to apologize. And that caused Megan to yell and to make a scene. Soon Mom and Megan were shouting back and forth about how she treats me now.
Once that was over and Megan went up to her room, Trey helped my mom wash all the dishes and put everything up. Mom apologized for Megan's attitude and hoped that it wouldn't cause Trey to have second thoughts about coming over again. He told her he would love to come over more often, even after the incident.
My mom invited Trey to stay the night with me and she said he could stay in my room. Now if I asked her, she would have said only if his parents approve and if he slept downstairs or in like a locked cage. But apparently Trey was too perfect for her to try to keep him away from me.
Obviously Trey agreed to staying and soon he and I were lying down in my bed with his arms wrapped around me. We didn't go to sleep for a couple hours even though we were both determined to wake up early. We kept finding things to talk about right as we were on the verge of sleeping. I'd have to say that I hadn't slept that well in a very long time.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Right now I'm with Mason at the library. He agreed to meeting Trey and a friend of his; I didn't want to utter Canyon's name so I just kept saying "a friend of Trey's." He could tell that I really didn't like this friend, so he sat down at the table, crossed his legs and said with a very gay lisp, "Tell me everything about him, sugar. Auntie May is all ears." He rested his shoulders on the table and held his head in his hands.
I couldn't help but giggle a little bit. "Well, Trey and `him' have been friends for a while, ever since they saw each other when he and I and the rest of my friends went to the movies. All of us agreed that he was drop-dead gorgeous and I could tell Trey was really attracted to him. Trey tells me that he only wants to be with me but I just have this feeling that he wants to be with Canyon too."
"So...you're jealous?" Mason said, summing up everything I said into two small words."
"I guess so."
"And you have the right to be jealous why?" Mason asked. I was about to answer him but he interrupted me. "From what I've heard from you from all the time's we've talked...wow that has a lot of from's...back to what I was saying...you say that Trey is jealous of Daniel because he thinks you are in love with him, correct?"
"Yeah but-"
Mason interrupted me again. "No buts. If it irritates you that he is jealous of Daniel then you shouldn't be jealous of `the friend.' Double standards are what ruin a relationship you know."
"Are you like, Dr Phil now?" I asked. He laughed at that. "I miss Aunt May now. At least he...or she...whatever Aunt May is, was sexy." I winked and he smiled.
"So you are sayin' Dr. Phil isn't sexy?" Mason asked. I loved how we could be serious one minute and then stupid the next. "Well I find him highly attractive, myself. I mean, how can you not love bald guys?"
"Very easily." We both laughed at that. Mason then realized we only had thirty minutes until we had to meet with Trey and `the friend' so we had to wrap things up. I really didn't want to but Trey would be pissed if I bailed.
Once we were all packed up and out the door, I got a text from Trey, asking if we were on our way. I replied and told him we were leaving the library now and to keep his undies out of a knot. He then replied, in a matter of seconds, saying that he wasn't wearing any and that was paired with a naughty winkie face. I sent him a winkie face back. Mason asked why I was smiling and I just told him that it was something Trey said. He accepted the answer and we were on our way.
We were meeting at this new place in town. It just opened last weekend and it's like a club but for high school students and people under the age 21. We got there and we were greeted by this very cute girl who seemed to know Mason. They talked for about a microsecond and then we were off to find my boy and Canyon. When I finally located Trey, I grabbed Mason's hand and dragged him with me since we were too close to the speakers and he wouldn't have been able to hear me.
We got to the table and I saw Canyon sitting opposite of Trey with a smile on his face. Mason was turned away and talking to another chick who also seemed to know him so I wasn't able to introduce him to Canyon.
I shook Canyon's hand and sat down next to Trey. I made sure Canyon was watching when Trey and I exchanged a quick but loving kiss. Mason then turned and said, "Hey guys...sorry I was talking to this chick I know and...Canyon?" He said shocked.
Canyon looked up and saw Mason. "Mason?" Each had a very shocked look on his face.
Every time I read a story of Nifty, I never read the top part, so just in case you are like me and only read the bottom portion if you liked the story, here is my email again: wah.stories@yahoo.com. Also, if you want to be on my email list to find out when new chapters come out, include that in your email. AND if you email me, please state what story you're referring to. Thanks for reading the tenth chapter of my story.
I'd also like to give thanks to my editor, John. He's like majorly epic and catches my mistakes. I make a lot of them so he deserves as much credit as I do for getting this chapter out. And check out Hayden's Story and Gavin's Got Game, they're here in the High School section, if you like this story.
Also, I want this story to be somewhat interactive, where yo tell me what you'd like to see happen next. There are no guarantees if it will make it, but there are possibilities. I already have some things planned out, but most are too obvious. I need you al to help me think of new things that no other story has.
