I don't know the Backstreet Boys, or N'Sync, nor is this story meant to imply anything about their sexuality, their private lives or their life choices. Please don't take any of this seriously, it is just a story, nothing more. Nothing in this story is real, it is the product of the author's imagination. That's enough disclaimers I think...
Now some suggestions, seeing as everyone else seems to be doing it. My favourite stories are: Forever (Kevin) My New Life (Lance) JC's Hitchhiker (JC) Get Another Boyfriend (Kevin) Whiplash (Kevin) Blind Date (Lance) My Surprise Romance (Lance) Josh and Just (Duh!) Lottery Winner (Joey) Jamie's Romance (Justin) Brian and Me (Brian) Kevin and Dustin (Kevin) <- I just read this one, and I can't wait till the next instalment, I can't wait to see what happens! Justin's Dancer (Justin, sort of!) Tales of a Real Dark Knight (Lance) Good Life (Justin) Under Management (Lance) Brian and Chance (Brian) That's it, I know there are more I read that I haven't mentioned, but I can't remember them right now, sorry! I just want to say before this chapter WAY TO GO USA! Beating Portugal in the playoffs of the World Cup! McBride's goal was an absolute classic by the way, and I felt so sorry for your guy who scored the own goal - what a pratt! I mean how did he manage that? He actually kicked it straight into the net - it wasn't even going near it, it was gonna go straight past and he knocked it in! But I will give the US team something - they've come a helluva long way since the last World Cup! Oh and McBride is a serious hunk! After he took off his shirt at the end of the match - wow! What great abs, and pecs! Pity he's not that goodlooking, but hey you can't have it all can you? Anyway, here's chapter 44...
On The Streets - Part 44
Kevin's Point of View<<<
Well, there wasn't a plane leaving till 7 o'clock the next morning, so I took Jared's advice about getting a hotel room for the night. It was a pity - he'd have left for work by the time I got home the next day, so I wouldn't get to see him until that evening. Anyway, the next morning, I took the 8:30 flight, there wasn't much point in getting the earliest one as I'd miss Jared either way. I slept a bit more on the plane, the guys were talking or reading. When we touched down, we all wanted to get home, and then we'd meet up again that afternoon to sort out our schedule for the rest of the week. On the way home, I remember thinking about how Jared had hung up so abruptly last night, but I thought better of dwelling on it. The taxi dropped me off outside the house, and that's when I noticed that the car was still there, why would Jared not have taken the car into work?
I went into the house, and went upstairs. I had to drop off my suitcase, and I really wanted to change - these were basically the same clothes I wore yesterday with different underwear. I walked into the bedroom, and it was pitch black, the blinds and shutters were closed. Then it hit me, the smell of sweat. It was almost disgusting. I looked into the darkness, and there was a figure in the bed. I reached over and flicked on the light switch. There was a murmur from the bed, and I walked over. I sat on the side of the bed next to the person in the bed, and peeled back the cover. It was Jared, but he looked terrible.
"Jared?" I asked. I placed my head on his shoulder, and it was slick with sweat. "Jared?" I asked again. I watched him slowly open his eyes, and his mouth opened and a croak came out.
"Kevin?" He asked. "I don't feel too good. I was sick last night, and now I ache everywhere." The moment he'd said 'I don't feel too good', my mind went into overdrive, I was instantly in a panic.
"Have you taken anything? Do you have any idea what it is?" I asked panicked.
"Kevin." I was jumping up and down practically, trying to work out what to do. "Kevin." He said again more firmly.
"What, what is it?" I asked him, trying to help in any way.
"I think it's just a stomach bug, don't worry, I'll be fine. Please calm down, I just ache a lot. Ummm, I know this is going to sound stupid, but, do you have any painkillers or anything in the house?" He asked me.
"Well, yeah, they're in the medicine cabinet. Why didn't you take them before now?" I asked him.
"I don't know where the medicine cabinet is." He replied. Ah.
"I'll get you some, for future reference, the medicine cabinet is in the second bathroom, you know, the one between the guest bedrooms?" He nodded slightly, then dropped his head back into the pillow. By the time I came back with some pills in my hand and a bottle, Jared was sitting up on the side of the bed, with his legs hanging over the edge, his feet on the floor. "Jared, you shouldn't be up, lie back down."
"No, I need to get up, I have to go to the bathroom. I'd like to have a shower too, it might help a bit." So, after he'd drunk down the pills, I helped him stand up.
"Do you want some company?" I asked him.
"Sure." He smiled back at me. We walked into the bathroom, and I stripped off while he turned on the shower taps, and then shucked the pyjama bottoms he was wearing. We walked in together, and he just sort of held onto me, he rested his head onto my shoulder, and just put his hands on my back. I could feel him breathing on my shoulder. The warm water was splashing onto us. I felt him start to get hard while he was holding onto me, and his cock started to rise in between my legs. I could feel it rubbing against the bottom of my butt. I pulled back slightly and looked at him. "What? I'm not that sick! And, this shower does feel, really, really good." He grinned at me. I shook my head at him.
"Well, should we do something about this? Do you feel up to it?" I asked him. He grinned at me. I was guessing that the pills he took were starting to kick in, and he took me. It wasn't as energetic as normal, he obviously was stiff, and quite tired, but he still took me as passionately as if we were in the most erotic sex session we'd ever had. I felt him enter me, and moaned as the rim of his head popped inside me. Jared's the thickest, biggest guy I've ever had, I could still remember the first time we did it, when I picked him up. It almost terrified me when I saw him, and I was worried that it would hurt too much when he pushed into me. It did, but only the first time, the second and third times were wonderful. I flicked back to the present, as I felt Jared pull my body back against his, and one hand wrapped over my shoulder, and grabbed a hold of my left pec and squeezed my nipple, and then just cupped it. Jared's got this thing about muscle. I remember catching him on the internet once, he'd got a lot better at using it, and he was looking at a muscle worship site. It got him so hot, and he loved just feeling, licking, kissing and sucking me, especially since we started working out together. I have to say, his muscles do something for me too, he was always complimenting me on my six pack, but his eight pack just made me want to cream my pants. I wish I could show him how beautiful he is to me all the time. I moaned as he started to kiss my neck, and suck on my shoulder. His cock was rubbing against my prostate, and I was moaning constantly. Little spurts of precum were shooting out of my cock, or dribbling down the side, and I was just in a daze. Finally, we were done in the shower, well, we finished showering shortly after we got in, what I mean is, well, you know what I mean.
"Jared, I should phone the office, tell them why you're not in today, what do you want me to tell them?"
"You don't need to. I only had an N'Sync session this morning, but they're not in Florida, so I didn't have to be in." Oh, so I was going to see Jared either way, whether he was sick or not. "And, I think I can manage the other sessions today, I'll just take it easy." I looked at him a little uncertainly.
"Are you sure?" I asked him. "You looked pretty sick earlier on."
"I'll be fine Kev, you'll be in this afternoon, won't you?" He asked me.
"Yeah. We need to finish getting you ready, and if you have any problems at all this afternoon, I want you to come to me, I'll run you home." Jared started chuckling. "What?"
"You sound like a mum talking to her five year old or something." He said with a grin on his face.
"Oh ha ha." I said sarcastically. "Come on, let's go get some lunch. I feel like something...Italian." Jared pulled on some clothes, and we left the house. We drove towards the centre of the city, and stopped near a restaurant I love. "This place is great, amazing pizza." Jared's eyes lit up, by the looks of things, he was hungry. Once we got settled, a waiter came over and asked us for our order. "I'll have a medium four cheese pizza please." I ordered.
"And for you sir?" The waiter turned to Jared.
"I'll have a large meat pizza, with extra meat, and a side order of pasta, no sauce please, just some oil, oh and some garlic bread, err, just a side order of that, oh what the hell just give me the whole loaf." Jared handed the waiter the menu, but the waiter was still scribbling away at his pad. I was looking at Jared with wide eyes. The waiter finally took Jared's and my menus and left. "What?" Jared asked when he noticed me looking at him funny.
"You don't normally eat that much."
"Well, I brought the contents of my stomach up last night, and then again this morning, and I haven't eaten breakfast..." Jared said with a grin on his face.
"Oh, yeah I guess you would be a little hungry." I said with a smile. We enjoyed the meal together. Jared ate all the food he ordered except one slice of garlic bread which I took as I finished before him and I got bored just watching him eat. Finally, at about 1, we decided to get into the office. Jared still had to make the 1:30 session at lunchtime, though I'm not quite sure how he was going to do it with such a full stomach. He seemed full of energy now that he had eaten, and even started to get a little...intimate in the car, licking my ear as I was driving along, that sort of thing. "We're here." I said to Jared who was nuzzling my neck at the time.
"Great, and in time for the 1:30 session." Jared said looking at the car clock. He grinned at me, kissed me again, and then jumped out the car, and ran into the building.
Jared's Point of View<<<
I dealt with the 1:30 session, well, when I say I dealt with it, I just sort of sat at the front of the room and told them what to do, joining in occasionally. I was too full from lunch to move much. At about 2:15, Janet Dakes showed up. I had sorted out her exercise regime, and it was...different to be taking a one on one course - I was able to give much more advice, on proper technique and form, and also to check her reps, that sort of thing. She was determined - I'll give her that. She was still quite badly overweight. I had sorted out her diet before I 'went missing', and she had basically followed it, but I think she went astray once or twice. She was about 5lbs. lighter than when we had first met. I was going to help her to get to her desired weight, and so help me, I was going to get her there, even if it killed me, or her. She had been kind about it when I came back, and I was really apologetic, and she had just accepted it. She had told me how she tried another gym, but the fitness instructors there were either too expensive or not very nice, she was hoping I would return quickly, fortunately, I did.
Janet was physically in no shape to do heavy cardio work, any amount of it, so I set her doing gentle cardio, and a lot of it. She would cycle for a good half hour, walk or jog for an hour or so, and then go on the step machine. I didn't relax at all, she had a 2 hour lunch break today, and we spent almost the whole time just on the cardio machines. Afterwards, she told me she'd be in again the next day, and I told her I'd see her then. Janet also commented on the TRL thing we'd done, and how she'd laughed when she'd seen my face - apparently I'd gone bright red when they started showing all those pictures of me and Kevin.
At 5:30, I went looking for Kevin. I figured he couldn't be in the studio anymore, as they'd finished. I went up to reception and asked. The woman recognised me now, and told me she'd phone to see if she could locate Kevin. About 5 minutes later, she told me that he was in a meeting at the moment, and wasn't to be disturbed. I nodded thanks to her, and went and sat in one of the lobby chairs. I picked up one of the newspapers that was on the table, and started to read...
About 7 o'clock, Kevin finally came out of the meeting, and I jumped up as I'd been daydreaming when he walked into the lobby. I'd finished all the papers there some time ago.
"Kevin!" I said. He walked past me, seemingly in a daze. I put my arm out to touch his.
"Huh? Oh, Jared."
"Oh, I love you too Kevin." He'd been a bit off when he'd greeted me.
"Sorry Jared, I'm really tired, we had a really tough meeting, we've got a lot of appearances coming up, and shoots and stuff like that, interviews..." He just sort of trailed off.
"Shall we get home?" I asked him. He just nodded. He grabbed my hand, and leant on my shoulder as we walked out the building.
"Can you drive?" Kevin asked.
"Sure." I took the keys, and climbing in the car, I drove us home. Once we got home, I made us some dinner, nothing too much, just some pasta with some French bread. It tasted good, even if I do say so myself. Kevin sort of played with his food a bit, but swallowed most of it down. I think he was too tired to think about much. He sort of fell onto the couch once we came out of the kitchen.
"I'm so tired." Kevin sighed out.
"Perhaps you should go up to bed."
"But I want to spend some time with you, we haven't had very long together in the last couple of days." Kevin whined.
"Look Kevin, I know we haven't spent long together in the last couple of days, and it's quite likely that we will spend even less time together in the near future." Kevin looked downtrodden, I didn't mean to sound so cold, just logical. "I didn't mean it like that, I just meant that what with you doing appearances, and me stuck here doing fitness training, we're going to be separated for a lot of the time. But I love you Kevin, nothing will change that. If you're tired, if you're a long way away, if you're right next to me..." I leant down and kissed him on the cheek. "You'll always be here." And I pointed to my chest. He smiled.
"Thank you Jared." I smiled at him. "I would like to go up to bed, but will you come with me?"
"Sure." He smiled. We went upstairs together, and Jared went in the bathroom while I changed. He came out just wearing his pyjama bottoms and the cross around his neck. I went in after him. I didn't want to spend too long in there, as I was so tired, so I skipped all that skincare stuff I normally bother with, and just brushed my teeth. I walked back out to find Jared kneeling by the bed. Now, don't get me wrong, I say my Lord's Prayer and all, but I'd never actually seen Jared kneeling, saying prayers before. I shut the door to the bedroom behind me.
"Oh Kevin." Jared said, apparently surprised to see me. "You were quick getting out of there." He said with a confused expression.
"Yeah, I was tired." Then I noticed the beads in his hands. They were wrapped around his palm, and then laced through the third and fourth fingers, and then somehow back over again, so that the crucifix hung below his clenched hands, and the thumb of one hand was dug in between two beads. "Err...do you need to finish?"
"Oh, err, yeah, sorry I'll only be..." He looked down at the beads. "About two minutes." I nodded.
"It's ok, take your time." I wasn't sure what to say to him. I finished folding my clothes, and threw my underwear into the old wicker basket we used as a laundry basket, and then I climbed into bed. I snuggled down into the covers, so that they were pulled right up to my neck. I like it when you first climb into the bed, and the sheets are cool. My head plunged into the soft, fluffy pillow. I reached over to turn off the light, but couldn't help turning back after I'd flicked the switch, and watching Jared. The light on his side of the room was still on. I saw the beads suddenly unravel from his hands, and he was just holding onto the crucifix with both hands. Finally, he made the sign of the cross over his chest, and placed the rosary onto the bedside table, under the lamp. He climbed into bed next to me. "I haven't seen you do that before." I said to him as he reached across to turn off the light. He turned back to look at me.
"Normally I'm done by the time you're out of the bathroom." Jared answered. "Not that I'm hiding the fact I do it or anything... that's just when I do it."
"Do you do it every day?" I asked curiously. He smirked at me.
"Only for the last week or so, since I got back." I nodded, still not quite sure.
"Why?" I asked him. He looked... well he had a strange look on his face, like he was trying to think of what to say, but also like he was trying not to worry me.
"The mercies of the Lord I will sing forever."
"Huh?"
"It's a bible quote. Sorry, it's the only way I can think to explain it. While I was gone Kev, I thought about a lot of things. One of these was why I'd stopped praying and going to church. I used to go every Sunday, and then to confession about once a fortnight. I made sure I never ate meat on Fridays, even I was starving." He paused for a second. "And then I remembered that quote: The mercies of the Lord I will sing forever. My Dad said it to me once. You see I realised that I'd stopped praying because, well, I had all that I wanted in life... I had you, I had a nice place to live, friends, and other things, which well tempted me, and pulled me away from prayer, and when I had everything, I stopped. I realised while I was away from you that, well, I was a Jeroboam... I gave up my faith because I had everything. The quote, my Dad said it to me because I asked him what happens if you have everything you want? Then what do you pray for." He paused and looked at me to see if I was still with him. I was listening intensely. I had never heard Jared talk so earnestly. "He told me that even if you have everything, you still sing the mercies of the Lord. He's the only one who can offer you eternal salvation, and can teach you to live a good life. I was ignoring a part of me Kevin, before I mean, I don't want to do that anymore. I'm going to start going to church, sorry, but I need to do this." He looked up at me, and his eyes looked watery.
"Jared, what you said was beautiful, and I agree with you, praying to God is always important, but why do you look so upset?" I asked him.
"Kevin, after what you said just earlier, about us not spending enough time together... Kev, well, we should spend more time together, and I don't think you'll want to come to church with me. I'm a Catholic. I know how uncomfortable you'd be there." He said to me, he was obviously worried - his voice always got a little bit higher when he was worried - he always told me it was because his throat closed up when he was scared about other peoples' responses to something he said. I sighed, thinking about how to answer it. Jared took it the wrong way though. "G...G...Goodnight Kevin." Jared stuttered. I've never heard Jared actually stutter. I reached over and turned on my lamp again.
"Wait, Jared." He lied onto his back, and was staring at the ceiling. I placed my hand over his body and onto his right pec, and then rested my chin onto his left pec. "Jared, first of all, if you want me to come with you, I will gladly do so. I would never feel uncomfortable with you, no matter where we are. Secondly, it's the bigger times I'm worried about... us missing whole days together is what really annoys me. An hour or two on Sunday mornings would never bother me. If you want to go to church on Sunday mornings, feel free to do so, I would never stand in your way. I love you too much to even try to do that." I looked straight into his eyes, and he looked back at me.
"Thank you Kevin." I smiled at him, then reached over and turned off my lamp again. A moment later, I felt him shifting behind me. I turned my head slightly, and his was right there.
"Hope you don't mind." He said, biting his bottom lip as I felt him spoon against me from behind. He wrapped one arm over me, and one arm under my neck. His bicep made a very comfortable support by the way.
"Not at all." I grinned at him again, and he grinned back. We fell asleep shortly afterwards, wrapped up together, and at peace with one another.
End of Chapter 44 TBC...
Ok, this was a weird chapter for me to write. I wanted to bring a load of little things in, but nothing too serious, and also tie up a few loose ends. I hope it didn't come out sounding too disjointed, or for that matter too much like a theology lesson. Hey, that's a big coincidence - I was just revising Supreme Court cases to do with establishment of religion for my US politics exam - aaah that's only like three weeks away now! Either way, I've got maths exams in a few days, so I'm not sure when the next chapter will be out, sorry! But I will try to get it out sometime shortly after the 14th, maybe before if I don't bother revising for Maths! Oh yeah, I just wanted to say again way to go USA! Beating Portugal in the play-offs of the World Cup! Let me just say that I don't think ANYONE was expecting that one, and McBride's goal was an absolute beauty, header right into the net, that was probably one of the best goals so far in the tournament! Anyway, hope to hear from loads of you soon!
