Over the next few weeks Mitch and his dad often went to the bluff. Mitch held his hand and Mike believed that line and within a month Mike was holding Mitch's hand and they even had a picnic or two. Ros told me Mike was sleeping much better and had thrown away his anti-depressant pills. The off shoot of all this was his business started to thrive again and he will get more from me because I want to landscape the car park and put in more benches and picnic tables. I will get Mike and Ros to help me design it but first I have to make absolutely sure Uncle Luke and Jamie are not going to build on the land.
I rang the bell once and went downstairs; I think Uncle Luke was going over patients records.
"Hi beautiful nephew, what's up?"
"Uncle Luke are you still thinking of building your house on the bluff?"
"No, Cody, but don't mention it in front of Jamie, he will have me looking at the plans again. No, I'm staying here, it's never going to happen."
"Oh, I guess you feel strongly about that."
"Friggin oath, I want to stay here but whenever someone mentions it Jamie gets the plans out so don't say anything."
"Why do you want to know Codes?"
"Dad said I could have it if you don't want it." I told him of my plans to bring the park back and he listened to my ideas and nodded his approval just as Jamie arrived, who kissed us both and looked at Luke.
"Tell me."
"Tell you what?"
"Tell me what's up Luke, whatever it is, it's written all over your face."
"Damn, I thought I hid that well," Luke said.
I didn't think Uncle Luke was being serious about the plans. He was being kinda animated.
"Go and get the house plans James, Cody wants to see them." Jamie rushed outside to his studio and came back with two rolls of plans.
"What's up?"
I told him, he looked disappointed.
"It's okay Uncle Jamie, all's good but when you build your house, can you do me a favor, leave the seat there so Mitch and I can sit sometimes?"
"Build this house on the land Cody, for you and Mitch, then the seat will always be available for you. Luke doesn't want to move into a house and I get that he wants to be close to his brother and Squirt. But I would love to see all my work come to life at the bluff. I did these plans fully knowing we would never build it. I would miss Dan and Cody too so we are staying here."He leant in and gave Luke a real smacker on the lips but I sensed a real air of disappointment in his manner.
"Well I have left the decision up to Mitch and his mum and dad. Can I borrow these plans and look through them tonight?"
"Keep them Codes and think about building. These plans are only for the bluff. The house wouldn't look so awesome anywhere else."
I knew later what he had meant when I spread them out on the bed, it was a low-lying ship. The house looked like a big white Noah's ark with dark windows down each side ending majestically and joined at the bow, which had what looked like a lighthouse sitting on it instead of a naked mermaid. It was fucking awesome and probably would cost a lot to build.
"Codes, this is just beautiful, look at the streamlined windows, they are triple glazed and what's that?"
"It's the main bedroom Mitch, Jamie put this lighthouse type structure on the front of the bow for their bedroom; three sixty views."
"That's just fucking brilliant."
"Mitch!!"
"Sorry Squirt." He used my dad's nickname; maybe things are falling into place. I actually loved the house and yes it would look magnificent up there, but the choice is Mitch's, and his family's.
It was another sad day when Rory and Bobby left although we had a family get together last night. Tears were shed, and Bobby wasn't happy with the year long trek, but Rory was being very positive. He will work between Will's fashion house, his, Cody Mitchells and Armani. It's only a year, Tim and Donny were already there and my dads will be there for a couple of weeks so they won't be lonely. That will leave Conner, Mitch and I in the house and when my dads come home we will maybe go look after Uncle Rory's house. I didn't go to the airport but spent a good two hours at their place hugging them. I noticed dad Cody was very quiet; he looked at them as his other sons, and was depressed they were going for so long. Rory held him for ages while whispering in his ear and he looked a lot better for that, even managed a few jokes.
It was a solemn night after they left, my dads hugged each other close and were reminiscing about the fun they had with them. Mitch and I were kissing and he was holding me. He whispered in my ear and we retired to bed.
We made love and for the first time ever, he attempted to open me up to screw me but it didn't work, because I was in so much pain, so he didn't continue.
"There are no rules about fucking Mitch; maybe I'm just not built that way. We may be destined never to do it but we can find other things to do. Let's face it, it's a small part of our love, important, but small." He grinned at me then went over to his drawer and pulled out a small box, a fucking dildo. It was small and fit in me beautifully and when he turned the vibrator on I thought I was in heaven. With much kissing and licking Mitch took over that role and I nearly burst with pain but something was giving me pleasure and I started to cum with each pump he gave to me, but then he stopped, grunted loudly and dropped onto my back.
"My God, you're fucking amazing Codes, it's a wonderful feeling. I felt your orgasm deep inside you, fuck."He rolled off and turned me over but there were tears in my eyes so he panicked.
"I hurt you didn't I?"
"No, no, no, you made love to me, I loved it, it hurt but it was good and felt right, thank you."
"I love you so much Codes, can we do it again?"
"What?"
"I meant later goose, not now, I guess you're a bit sore at the moment?"
"I believe lotions are good for that pain you have Cody." Someone yelled at the door.
"Dad?" It was Squirt.
He was laughing all the way through the family room until he closed the door of his bedroom.
Mitch and I giggled, he was a bit loud, my Mitch, and my bed squeaks.
He went and got some lotion from my bathroom and administered it to my bum.
There was blood, not much but there was blood. I freaked,Mitch got a worried look on his face, so I sent a message to Uncle Luke. His answer was, 'its normal honey but ease up for a day or two.'
"Codes you awake?"
"Umm yes Mitch."
"How do you feel?"
"Wonderful."
Silence
"Can we go again now?"
I rolled over and he had his wicked way with me, it didn't hurt as much as the first time and the sensations were fantastic.
"Goodnight Codes."
"Goodnight Mitch."
In the morning dad Cody hugged me and said last night Conner had just come in and he wanted to see him and he was sorry he heard us going at it. I smiled and said,
"It's okay dad, we finally got there. Have we got any oil for the squeaky bed? I think he likes me." Giggling, with my coffee in hand, I went out to see Dan; he hugged me also, and stroked my hair.
Mitch and Conner came out and dad got up and the three slapped hands.
"Way to go Mitch, congratulations."
They looked at me and I thought, why are they congratulating him, I did the hard work?
"What was it like Codes, has he got a big cock, did you orgasm when he shoved it up your ass?"
"Conner Lawrence, I won't tell you again," dad Cody screamed from the kitchen.
"Sorry dad."
He whispered to me,
"Did it hurt?"
"Conner!!!"
"Arrragh." Con sat down and sipped on his coke and dad talked about our training while they would be away.
"Can I come dad?"
"Sure Conner if you want, we just thought you might like to have a couple of sleepovers while we were away, that's all." Con's eyes bugged out.
"Really?"
"Yes son, really."
"Okay I won't go then."
"Good, have fun son but don't forget to tell Cody which mate's place your staying at." Squirt giggled.
"Daaad."
"Don't daaad me Conner Lawrence, it ain't happening under my roof until it's the real thing."
"Come on Codes, let's go for a run," Con said.
"Eat you breakfast first Conner, Cody did you lotion up?"
"Daaad," I said and heard laughter coming from Mitch's seat.
One of the first things we wanted to do and it happened that night was go to the bluff, Mitch made love to me on the back seat, a fantasy of his, then we sat on the bench for awhile watching dark clouds come over. The lightning in the distance was magic but when the rain came we scurried for the backseat again. Mitch hit dad's gym every other day, I swam and ran. He and I had started to have lunch with his mum sometimes and my dads would join us. Mitch and his dad became friends again and we had morning tea with his dad at his nursery. I had told him what I wanted to do with the bluff and he gave me some really good ideas. I also said I wanted to call it something but he had to okay it.
'The Jimmy Dyson Memorial Park,' with a footnote, 'Kid Friendly Park,' was a suggestion.
He was amazed at my ideas for tables and chairs, more park benches, a new toilet block and a sort of camp kitchen with a barbecue.
"God, Cody, this is going to cost heaps," Mike suggested.
"Well not really, most of the money I have will cover some of it and my dad said his foundation will do the rest. The safety rail has been made very secure and he wants to fence in the whole block then re-gravel the walking tracks. A fenced off playground would be donated by the local council."
"Boy, you have been busy."
"It's not what you know, it's who you know Mike. Now you have all that information can you design it for me?"
"You want me to do it?"
"Yes, your landscaping skills are useful and you have to put in plants and trees to stop erosion, and I mean lots and lots of them." I smiled. "My dads will pick up the bill for that."
"I'll do it for nothing."
"I'll get them to talk you out of doing that."
"I won't let them."
"I'll get them to buy you both around the world first class airline tickets for Christmas then."
He gulped as I stared him down.
"I'll do it for wholesale." He laughed.
"Deal." I shook his hand.
It was good to see; Mitch hugging him and I noticed Mike kissed his cheek and said I love you. But I still didn't get the go ahead from them, only that they are still talking about it. Mike pulled me aside and told me not to organize anything as he still had doubts about letting kids up there again. I mulled it over and decided to shelve the idea.
While all this was going on, my dads left for Europe. It would only be for a few weeks, maybe a month, but I missed them even before they went. We never sat inside, even when it was chilly, and Mitch and I were cuddling on the sofa outside when my dads came out with their jackets over their arms. We didn't want them to go and I certainly wasn't prepared for Conner's reaction at the airport. Before they disappeared through to customs Conner burst out bawling. He hugged our dad Cody tightly telling him he would miss him and begged them both not to go. My dads' faces showed nothing but concern for him. They kissed his cheeks and patted his unruly hair down; Cody even teared up.
"We are sorry, Conner, but it has to be done. We have to go and get things sorted. I'll ring you every night sweetheart." They kissed Mitch and I and then disappeared into the custom's hall.
Conner sniffled uncontrollably.
After they left he turned to us, maybe looking for a hug, then said,
"No sleepovers at my house, now let's see who can sleep or not, coffee Codes, Mitch?" He laughed.
'Oh you are good Conner Lawrence, very good, watch out nana or maybe she was behind it?' I mused.
I knew my dads would be upset at his outburst; they won't sleep on the plane with concern, so I excused myself, while Mitch ordered coffee, and then went into the men's toilets.
"Don't believe him dads, I think he's had some training from nana, having coffee and he's laughing, so have a good trip, love you to the stars and back."
I didn't get a response, but Conner did.
"What?" He yelled as he read the message.
"They can't ground me, they can't, I only have concern for them, Cody, they grounded me for three weeks; no car, no girls, no parties." Mitch and I laughed into our coffees and my ribs were aching.
"Well, we will see about that. Cody I need your car tonight."
"You're grounded," I wailed.
"I can't drive my car but I can drive your's," he said, with an evil grin.
I snapped photos of him and sent them to dad. They wouldn't have boarded yet; this will give them a laugh.
At home it was quiet, Conner true to his word didn't drive his car, he took mine; but I was happy to help. It leaves Mitch and me alone to talk and plan. He made love to me and I was getting used to it and rather started to enjoy it, I couldn't get enough of him. Of course being the top, he was the dominant one, and I only had eyes for him.
Harper turned up the next day and he was trying to talk Conner into having a party, while our dads were away, but true to form Conner talked him into having one instead. Citing uncles Jamie and Luke living underneath our house and they wouldn't allow it to happen. Not to mention the folks, they would put him in irons for a week if he did go ahead with it.We chilled for a while and when Mitch went in to make more drinks, Harps leaned over and thanked me.
"I don't know what you did but thank you. Mitch is smiling a lot more and he's stopped shutting himself away in his room when he's home, thank you Codes. He winked as Mitch came out empty handed.
"Are you trying to steal my boyfriend?"
"Yes."
"Well cut it out or I'll cut your balls off."
"Ouch!" Harper yelled.
"See what I mean, he's back to normal."
I smiled as my man went back inside, flexing his muscles as he walked, yelling,
"Whose da man?"
It was the second week of our, 'vacation,' and we had Ros and Mike around for dinner, just simple chicken and salad. The park was discussed at length then Mike put a brake on the conversation.
"Why can't we just leave it as it is?"
"Why dad?" Mitch asked.
"Well I kind of like it the way it is son, if the public starts coming there again our little space won't be ours anymore and I know the fence is strong but it still doesn't rule out accidents. I would hate for some other family to go through what we did, it just feels right to leave it." He looked into his hands, the table was quiet for a while and Ros spoke up,
"I agree with dad, son, what Cody is planning to do is just wonderful but I see it as commercializing our son's happy place. I know you have done a lot of work on this but I think for now let's just leave it."
"Whatever you three decide is good with me Ros. It was just an idea at the time and nothing is set in stone, we leave it as it is then."
"Show poppa the house Codes, maybe it might be an option?" Mitch looked excited.
"Mitch, it's the same with the house, it's still encompasses the bluff."
"Not the way I see it, the house wraps around Jimmy's seat, sort of hugging that spot."
I noticed Mike tearing up so I thought I would try and change the subject.
"Desert anybody, I have ice cream?"
"Come on Mitch, let's organize it," Ros said to her gorgeous son.
"It's not what you think Cody."
"What's that Mike?"
"I'm tearing up because I'm happy. If you build up there then there will be someone with him all the time, laughing and playing and he gets to see Mitch every day. Well I know it's a bit out there, Cody, but I can dream too. Breathe some life into that place, build the house."
"Okay Mike I will talk to the dads when they get back. It won't be for some time yet though as we need to save a lot more than what we have."
"Well at the moment I am going to landscape your gardens, no charge, no arguments."
"Mike I can't let you do that..." I was cut off.
"No arguments Cody Lawrence," he sternly said to me.
"Okay poppa Mike Dyson."
Conner arrived home late from his part time job at the gym looking worse for wear. He said he had something to do in town so I fed him leftovers which he picked at. Something is up; he didn't say anything but he held my hand a lot as we looked over the plans.
"There's a separate flat under the back part Con, you could live there when dad kicks you out."
"What?"
"When he gets back he might kick you out for being naughty at the airport?" I giggled.
"Maybe you should offer that space to Jamie and Luke brother."
"There's an idea but I don't think they will move Con, I think Luke stays here because of the dads. You know they have a connection and this place wouldn't be the same without them, they fit."
"These plans are awesome Cody. Look, the house isn't even near our spot, it's actually far off the bluff and backed into the hill behind, awesome, it looks like a shipwreck," Mike said.
I looked again at where the house was situated on the block and he was right, it was built well back from the edge; it will cover the lower car park.
"Mitch I guess we had better start talking about money. I will understand if this is too fast for you but we've got plenty of time, yet I would like to start saving for it, that's all."
"Yeah we can talk about that later, it's your house, and your dads have given you the land and all, but I can help you out."
I looked at Mitch and he was looking down at his hands. Ros and Mike excused themselves and we saw them to their car. It was a great night and I said I would fill them in on what we decided later. Conner was still quiet and drifted off to bed after hugging both of us.
"You want to enlighten me on what you said before?"
"Uh? I just said I would help you, I have some money in the bank and certainly I can get a loan to give to you to build the house, we just need to talk more about it."
`See, that's where I thought I heard a small problem Mitch. It's not my house; it's our house, fifty-fifty. I won't build it without you." I leaned into his body and took his hand.
"But Codes it's not fair, your dads have given you the land. God knows what that's worth alone, squillions around here. I can help with the house but it's your house and land Codes, not ours." He dropped his head again.
"Okay Mitch, we don't build this house. We will buy somewhere closer to town, an established home for both of us. It will be cheaper in the long run anyway. I only want to live with you because I love you. My dads gave the block of land to us both not just me. If the house is built they will help us achieve that with or without our money. It will be our home, in both our names and God forbid if we should break up, you will still own half of it, it's not my house, it will be our home."
"Okay Codes, then we can talk to them when they get home."
"Mitch I don't really care. I just want to live with you that's all, where we live isn't a drama. We can move into Bobby and Rory's house, they will be away for quite some time anyway and you know Mitch, I am prepared to move in with you at Harper's place."
"No fucking way known Codes, he would tease you all the time. He walks around that place in his underwear a lot."
"Okay settled then, I move in with you and Harper." I laughed as I ran my hand over his beautiful chest nipping the short hair between my fingers. The next visitor we had was Ben, Mitch's cousin, I cringe at the way I walked out of that hotel room not even saying a hello. He was a gorgeous kid and we got on together just great; even Conner got caught up in the conversation. He was still a bit off for some reason but did like Ben, who was almost creaming himself sitting next to him. Ben hit the gym a lot so his body was perfection. I guess Con could see the work he had put into it, seeing as Con's body was also perfect.
Surprisingly Ben was very forgiving and he thanked me for what I had done for Mitch and his family. He told me the rest of the family were at their wits end having tried many ways of snapping them out of it so I told him all he needed was the cold hard facts and a hand to hold; it was the same for his dad, no blame, no shame just an accident.
It was getting late and Ben decided he had a few too many beers and wanted to stay the night, I could see he was being lulled into our peaceful world. Mitch and I left him and Conner to it and went to bed; he can have the guest bedroom. We didn't make love tonight, Mitch was a bit reflective and I knew what was on his mind, it's the house and best I do something about it.
"Mitch you awake?"
"Yes Codes."
"Mitch I have been thinking about the house and I don't want to build it."
"Why not Cody?"
"Well I don't know how much you have in the bank but let's say if we both put in equal amounts and start a savings plan, maybe we could buy a block of land first and we can perhaps get uncle Jamie to design a less obvious house for us?"
"Well I'm in two minds about it, that house is awesome but I'm sorry Codes it won't really be ours. It will be your dads, Luke's and Jamie's house. I want us to be on equal footing and I am sorry it's just the way I feel about it." He turned into me and kissed my lips.
"I understand Mitch, we need a plan for us and not everyone else. I would have loved to have built the house for Jamie's sake but I can't let sentiment get in the way, not with something as important as our future." I kissed him.
"We will talk more on it Codes and yes I have about fifty grand in the bank so that's a good start for our future." He kissed me again.
"Umm Mitch, how do you feel about containers?"
"What?"
"Shipping containers, I saw a show on channel two awhile ago where the guy made a great looking home out of four, forty foot shipping containers, it was awesome." I sucked on his chin.
"Okay, let's explore that option a little more."
I moved my leg over his stomach and started rubbing myself against his body and he was erect in no time then I slid down and went to work on his mister bits.
In the morning I heard Conner banging around in the kitchen so I went to see what he was up to. He was in his underwear and when I got there Ben came out of Conner's room, he had just showered.
"Good morning babe, what's for breakfast?" He kissed Con on the cheek, my jaw dropped.
"Toast sweetheart as soon as I find the bread." He pulled Ben in for a tight squeeze. This is not happening, not on my shift.
"You're both full of shit you know that and Con the bread is in the fridge where it's lived for the last fourteen years?"
They couldn't stop laughing.
"You should have seen your face Codes, fucking priceless." Conner laughed then he patted Ben's bum and said,
"Toast in ten minutes baby."
I suppose Conner could be gay? I never asked him, I assumed he was straight but Ben is a babe and apart from Con's man crush they were well suited but I don't know much about Ben's past and that worried me. Shut up Codes, they were joking.
Ben stayed all day and he and Conner ran on the beach then soaked up some sun. By the time he left they were old friends and promised they would catch up soon, and of course, the invitation was always there for him to visit.
It was later that night around seven the doorbell went, I answered it and, surprise, it was Belinda, Mitch's friend. She looked great and was very happy to see us but was putting on some weight. Mitch had basically forgotten his past friends over the last three or four months so he was chuffed she drove up to see him. They hugged and he kissed her cheek while I made the coffee. We four sat around catching her up on what's been happening.
She's moving to Sydney to start a new life. Her computer skills are in demand in the city of the grey coat hanger (Sydney Harbor Bridge). She also said she had something to discuss with Mitch, before she went, but it was private so she and Mitch walked down the beach and sat at the rocks. They were gone more than an hour so Conner and I decided it was a good chance to make a dad call.
They were going great but missed us. Tim and Donny had kept them busy because Don had lapsed in his exercise training and Dan was getting him up to scratch with that so they were out most of the morning doing their thing, while Tim and Codes revamped the shops with Rory. Bobby was enjoying the training he was getting off an old master that took him under his wing.
He is working, off and on, as a guide for English speaking tourists and his afternoons were spent copying the catalogue of paintings that hung in the Louvre. His training was to spend three hours in a studio with the teacher but from what dad told me, Bob didn't really need the help. He sort of breezed through any exercise the teacher set him, what the other students were doing in a month, Bob was doing in four days, I know he's brilliant like that.
We said our goodnights to our dads. I missed them so much, they breathe life into this house and are the warmth and the heart of it, it seemed a little chilly without them.
Mitch and Belinda came back and I made fresh coffee, we sat for another hour then she had to go so we saw her up the road after she kissed and hugged us three. Mitch was very quiet after she left, he didn't tell me what they were talking about and I didn't ask. Something private between the two of them and that's okay, I liked her, and I definitely liked Mitch.
During the night I had to go to the toilet, too much coffee does this to me and when I came back I looked at the clock and it was two am. I tried to get back to sleep but I heard a sigh coming from Mitch's side of the bed.
"Mitch you awake?"
"Yes."
"Sorry I woke you, I had to go to the toilet."
I turned around and put my arm across his chest laying my head on his shoulder.
"You didn't wake me Codes, I haven't slept yet."
"What's the matter Mitch, something's up?"
After a very long space of time and a few sighs he turned to me and said,
"She's pregnant."
You could have hit me with a baseball bat and I wouldn't have felt it at that moment. I mulled over the statement and yes I knew they had had sex and I guess they weren't very careful at the time, but my God what a wonderful thing for Mitch, to have a son or daughter to maybe fill that aching gap Jimmy left in him and his parent's lives. This is wonderful news for him. I couldn't have been happier at this moment in time.
"So what's going to happen?"
"She's going to Sydney and will have the baby, thank God, and of course I will help but I don't know what's going to happen after that. I want to be in its life so fucking much Cody, please don't go crazy on me, I couldn't bear the thought of you resenting me."
I lifted myself up onto one elbow and smiled at him, he had tears running down his cheeks so I said,
"A baby Mitch, you're having a baby. That's just the best news I've had all year. I can only imagine how you must feel and of course we both will help Belinda. Why didn't she stay here with us? We could have brought our plans forward to accommodate them?"
I was more excited than Mitch at the moment.
"You're not mad at me Codes?"
"What, are you crazy? It's the best thing ever Mitch and I can't wait to see the look on your parents faces. They will be over the moon; we have to get her to stay in Brisbane somehow."
"She doesn't want to interfere in our relationship, she doesn't love me like you do and she thinks she will make a go of it alone, without any outside interference, from mainly her overbearing parents. She said she wants both of us in his or her life. In fact she insists we both be there for the birth. She doesn't need any money as she has a good job to go to. She will hide her pregnancy for as long as she can from her parents because she just doesn't want anyone telling her what to do. She has ambitions Codes so she said we would be doing a lot of babysitting."
"Oh Mitch, this is awesome news, a baby, a little Mitchell, that's so fucking awesome."
"I love you so much Cody Lawrence. Why are you so right and so smart at the same time? I thought you would go ballistic at us?"
"Well Mr. Mitch you don't know me that well then do you? Mitch can't you see what I am seeing, it was meant to be. Jimmy got me to show you his beauty and now he's giving you a big thank you present in return; this is so awesome. I bet you a hundred dollars when we look at that painting again and a bit closer this time, there will be a baby in it somewhere. Don't underestimate the power of Bobby's talents, these things sometime appear overnight."
"You reckon?"
"Let's go see."
We both jumped out of bed and went to the family room; I grabbed the magnifying glass and started looking.
"Guess I owe you a hundred dollars. Well we can put it in the baby fund." I smiled, Mitch looked but didn't see anything either. We got back into bed and cuddled, he started telling me when Belinda told him he freaked because he didn't know how I would react. He was elated inside and was torn between helping and not helping. But his inner self knew he had to do the right thing. Neither of them wanted marriage or anything like that, but he could help in a lot of ways and so could I, not to mention our dads, they will be fucking rapt at this news, I'm certain of that.
We snuggled and sighed and kissed then made love, I shouldn't say it but at that moment I was already in love with the unborn baby.
