Disclaimer: I have never met, fratenized, associated, or spoked to George Lucas, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hammil, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, or Hayden Christensen, and I have never attended a Star Wars convention. All of this was mearly a setting to add to the plot of the story.
Chapter 1
Stacy
I've gone through so much, and I've grown up quite a lot, but one thing I will never forget is the day I met Eve. That memory is burned into my brain like a third-degree burn on somone's body. I remember it all so clearly...
It was the day I'd waited for my whole life. It was summer time; a beautiful, warm July day. I had just turned twenty-one, and I was officially ready to take on the world and do whatever I wanted. I could drink, drive, vote, and live on my own. In fact, the only thing I couln't do was collect A.A.R.P. It was on this day that I had attended a Star Wars convention.
As I walked into the Senate building's main hallway and saw all the people dressed as their favorite character, my head buzzed with excitement and adrenaline. Except for the ten Darth Vaders standing in the corner, everything looked just like it did in the third movie of the prequal trilogy.
Feeling a squeeze on my hand, I looked over at my boyfriend, Josh, dressed as Han Solo to match my Princess Leia outfit.
"I can't believe we're actually here," he said.
"I know," I told him. "Me neither."
As we continued through the crowds, I took in the scene around me. Everywhere I looked I saw people dressed as Anakin Skywalker, Padme Amidala, Chancellor Palpatine, and Luke Skywalker. I even saw one couple dressed as C3PO and Jar Jar Binks.
As the time went by, more and more people started to arrive. After a while, I started to see people dressed as characters that I'd never even noticed before.
But the best part didn't happen until ten o' clock that night. I remember that part the best.
At a quarter to ten, everyone started lining up along the outside of the red velvet ropes that had been set up specially for what was about to happen.
"Look!" someone shouted. "Here they come!"
Everyone started to scream and shout as a long, black stretch limo pulled up. A man dressed in a black uniform stepped up and opened the door. The crowd roared when George Lucas stepped uot, followed by Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hammil, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, and Hayden Christensen.
"Hey look," Josh said, "It's your favorite actor."
"I know!" I exclaimed with false excitement. You see, ever since I was thirteen, I'd been hiding a deep, dark secret. The truth is, I'm a lesbian. I don't really love Josh the way I claim I do, I'm in love with Carrie Fisher, when she was younger that is, not Hayden Christensen, and I'd rather kiss my best friend Katie than Josh.
That's when I saw her. A beautiful woman, about six feet tall, with a long brown Princess Leia braid and a Princess Leia slave outfit on looked up at me. Her deep brown eyes burned into mine, and I couldn't stop my heart from pounding.
She smiled at me, and I turned away, blushing because I knew she knew I liked her.
"What's wrong?" Josh asked me. "You look a little flushed.
Remembering that I was there with my boyfriend, I quickly answered, "Oh, uh, yeah. Yeah, I'm fine."
Turning back to the girl, I saw that she was still smiling at me.
Hello, she mouthed to me.
Looking up to make sure Josh wasn't watching me, I mouthed back, Hi.
What's your name?
Stacy.
Nice to meet you Stacy. My name is Eve.
I felt someone shove me from behind, so I turned around to tell them to stop pushing. But when I turned back, the girl was gone.
Eve, I thought. What a beautiful name. So full of mystery and power. Too bad I'll probably never see her again.
Sighing inwardly, I turned my attention back to the progressing line of stars, not knowing just how wrong I was.
Afterthought: Well, that's pretty much all I've written so far. But before you go, I just want you all to know that this story is completely fictional. I've never been to a Star Wars convention, and I don't have a boyfriend. Josh and Eve are simply a figment of my imagination. However, I would like to know what you all thought of the first chapter. Seeing as I am waiting for my new laptop, I can't give you an Email address, but I promise I will tell you my new one in a later chapter, once I get my laptop. So the only place you can really reach me is on Zwinky, a virtual website that you can reach by typing in www.zwinky.com. My username is princessleia13, and I can usually be found in the server entitled Celeb, but if it's full, I can be found under Graduate. Anyway, thank you all for reading, and I hope you enjoyed the first chapter of My Roommate is a Vampire!
