Ok here's the deal guys.... I don't know the members of NSYNC personally, and I could care less about their personal lives so please... this is a work of pure fiction (Sadly...) Secondly, If your not 18 or aren't allowed to read this because of legal reasons, you need to go to a more appropriate site. Also, this story contains man-to-man relationships, and at times will feature homosexual sex acts. If this offends you, you need to ask yourself, do I really want to continue??.... Anyway, I would like to thank all you readers out there for reading this, and to ask for you to continue to email me if you think this is good or whatever... (Especially if you are one of the lead characters!!...Grin)
When we last saw the guys...
"Now Matt, This a very special friend of mine. I want you to be on your best behavior." I said as I rolled up to the guard shack. "I'm here to see James Bass." I said into the speaker.
"Dad are we going into a jail? Why are there so many guards around?" Matt asked as I pulled up into the direction that the guard had pointed us in.
"No hon. We are going to visit a popular friend." I replied as we made our way to the front door.
Pushing the doorbell and turning to fix Matt's hair, I didn't hear the door open. Looking back at the door, I saw the astonished face of Lance.
"Hi Will. I didn't think you had any younger brothers." Lance said as he looked at Matt and then me.
"Hi Lance. This is not my brother. He's my son. Matt this is Lance. Lance this is Matt."
Sticking his hand out like I taught him to, he reached up to shake Lance's hand.
And Now:
Standing there with a look of puzzlement, Lance reached out and shook Matt's hand.
"It's nice to finally meet you, Mr. Bass." Matt said in his best big boy voice.
"Same here Matt. You can call me Lance though." Bending down to his eye level, Lance asked, "Would you like to come inside?"
"Sure. I have never been inside a celebrities house before." Matt said as Lance stood up and lead us into the open doorway.
"Lance?" We heard the voice coming from another room. "Who ya talking to?"
"Well this as good a time as any to meet another brother. Come on guys this way." Lance said to Matt and I as he descended a staircase to the right of the doorway.
"Chris? I want you to meet a friend of mine. This is Will Benson; I met him the other night when we went to Rain. This, Apparently, is his son, Matt." Lance said as we walked into the spacious sunken living room.
I couldn't tell, but Lance seemed to be preoccupied when he introduced Matt.
Sitting on the couch, NSYNC's oldest but more immature member sat watching TV.
"Hi Will. Hi Matt, Nice to meet you." Chris said as he started to stand up. "I'm..."
He didn't get to finish his own introduction when Matt blurted out, "You're the elf!"
The three of us looked at each other with a shocked expression before I asked him,
"Matt? What are you talking about?"
"Dad, You know! Mom's puter? The picture that always comes up where it's Christmas time, and he is dressed like an elf with the other big guy dressed as Santa?" Pointing towards Lance he added, " And you always say you want to unwrap his package first."
By this time I was so red with embarrassment that if you held a tomato up to my face the only difference would have been I was the one wearing glasses.
"I...I..... I am so sorry Mr. Kirkpatrick. I didn't expect..." I tried to stammer. By the look on his face he was not amused.
"Will. I am so shocked. That had to be the weirdest thing I have ever heard, someone choosing Lance's package over mine? Am I not as cute?" He looked at me with dead serious eyes.
Looking back up at him to see a slight smile I responded by saying, "Well if you dyed your hair blonde you might be." That last comment made us burst out laughing. Matt was looking at the three of us like we were crazy.
"Dad, why didn't you tell me we were gonna meet NSYNC?" He asked as he made himself comfortable on the couch.
"Well son, its because I guess I didn't know I was meeting NSYNC. I know Lance, but now I know Mr. Kirkpatrick." I responded.
"Wait. Why didn't anyone tell me my dad was here? DAD?!?" Chris started to shout.
"Chris, what are you doing?" Justin asked as he came into the room.
"Well Will here was telling Matt that he met my dad, Mr. Kirkpatrick so I was wondering where the heck he was. I'm Chris!" He said as he added that last part towards me.
Again I looked at the floor trying to hide.
"So. You're the famous Will. Hi, I'm Justin." He said as he approached me.
"Hey nice to meet ya, I'm Will and that's my son Matt." As I said son, he looked at Lance who looked away.
"Cool. Hey Matt, wanna play Play station with us?" He asked as flopped onto the couch, throwing Matt of balance into the air.
"Cool! Can I?" he asked me as he sat back down and reached for a controller.
Looking at Justin I sighed and said "Sure, but no killer games. You know how your mom hates those."
Chris replied, "Justin's not allowed to play those either. We play racecar games when he's around."
"Chris, it was just that one time. I'm over it now!" Justin said as he threw a pillow at his friend.
"We'll just ask JC about how over it you are. So Matt, how about Street Car Rally?" Chris asked as he, Justin and Matt got comfy on the big couch.
As the scene in the living room unfolded I noticed Lance looking really uncomfortable.
"Hey Lance, since your friends have taken over my son, how about you show me around this huge place?" I asked with a smile.
"Huuh? Oh sure. I have to get my shoes anyway. Follow me." He said sullenly.
As we made our way back up the stairs, I felt the air growing uneasy.
"Lance?" I asked.
"Yeah Will?" He answered somewhat uncomfortably.
"Stop. What's going on?" I asked as we reached the top of the stairs.
"What do you mean?" He asked in almost a whisper.
Noticing a sliding glass door that lead to a balcony, I grabbed his hand and pulled him outside to the beautiful day.
"James. Why the sudden change?" I asked him.
"I don't know what you're talking about." He responded as he looked in the opposite direction.
"James, when you called me this morning, you were all giggles about today. You even invited me out with you and Justin. I thought you were excited. Now since I got here, you seem to be in another world. I just don't understand. Was it something I said? Or something I did? Lance, you gotta tell me kid, I'm dying here!!"
"Will, it's nothing all right. Can we just drop it?" He asked almost irritated.
"Fine James, Have it your way. I guess since you don't want to tell me what happened, I will just assume it was something I did. Usually I would apologize, but since I don't know what I did, I cant. That leaves me one choice. I am going to go downstairs and say goodbye to your friends, and collect my son. When you decide to tell me what I did, you can call me, ok?" With that I turned and walked into the house and downstairs.
Walking into the living room, I saw Matt sitting on Justin's lap while they both were crashing their cars into the wall and just laughing hysterically. Apparently Chris had given up along time ago, and was just watching the two boys have fun.
"Well boys it was nice meeting you." I said as I walked into the room. "Matt and I have to be going now."
Looking more at Matt, but since he was sitting on Justin's I couldn't help but see Justin as well. He looked at me quizzically and said "Hey Will... Did Lance show you the studio?"
Momentarily forgetting the problem I looked at him and smiled. "Nope he didn't."
"Come on, I want you to see it." He said as he moved Matt of his lap and grabbed my hand. Chris grabbed his controller and challenged Matt to a race.
As we walked up the stairs, Justin flipped a light switch and opened a door.
"Wow Justin, this is a nice place, but...." I started to say with a sigh
"Will listen to me. I don't know what happened but you have made Lance very happy these past few days. I know that I just met you, but it seems there is a problem somewhere." Justin looked at me with his arms crossed.
"I know Justin. I know. He was fine when he called me this morning, and now it was like he was in another world. I asked him what the problem was, but he kept getting angrier."
I said with another sigh.
"Do you like him?" Justin asked.
"Huuh? Of course I do. Who wouldn't? He's awesome, sweet, funny and cute." I replied.
"Well for starters, you need to tone down that smile when you think of him. Your beaming from ear to ear." He said with a grin.
"Am not." I said
Turning around and going through a drawer, he produced a mirror. I looked at and realized he was right.
"So, you gonna talk to him?" He asked again.
"I will try one last time. But the first time he says 'I'm Fine' I'm out of here." I said as I turned to walk out of the room only to find Lance standing there.
"Hi Will." He said simply.
"Lance." I nodded at him.
"Justin can we talk in private. If I were I would go rescue JC from his new little friend." Lance said bemused. Looking at Lance I realized that if Matt got a hold of someone, it was hard for them to get away.
"Ok. By the way, we are still on for tonight?" He asked.
"I sure hope so." I said looking at Lance.
As the door shut I turned to look at the controls.
"Will, I need to talk to you. It's about the way I have been acting. I apologize." Lance said.
"Well Gee Lance, that's all well and good, but wanna tell me why you were acting like that?" I faced him with my arms folded.
Now it was his turn to find an interesting button on the control panel.
"My last relationship was rather hard for me at the end. As a matter of fact the reason it ended was because of his new baby 'brother'. One day we were at his house, and he got a call from his 'Mother' saying his 'brother' was very sick and needed to go to the hospital.
He went and I went home. Later that night I realized I forgot something at his house and went back to get it. As I was there the phone rang, and it was his mother. Thinking only about her infant I asked how he was doing, and she responded her 'grandson' was just fine. I kept up the conversation, but before it ended I asked what she meant by that and she told me just that he was her grandson, meaning her son's son. She then asked me who I was. I was devastated Will. Just devastated." He said as he looked at me. I could see a tear forming in his eye. "So that night I went home and waited for him to call me. When he finally did he was drunk out of his mind, and couldn't speak straight. The next day I showed up at his house and acted like nothing was wrong. We went the whole day and just before I left for the day, I asked about his brother. He gave me some story about how he was allergic to something and had a reaction. I then asked how much his family knew about us. Another story unfolded. Finally I couldn't take it anymore and walked over towards the kitchen to get a drink. As I did I hit the button on his answering machine and played back the entire tape of his mother and mines conversation. He couldn't look me in the eye and I just walked out." By now Lance was at a full-blown cry. I walked up behind him and put my arms around his waist. "So when I saw Matt for the first time, it was like dealing with that all over again. I just don't understand why he lied." He turned in my arms and I had begun to rub my hands up and down his back.
"Lance I am sooo sorry. Matt was going to come up sooner or later. And trust me he would have been my son then as well. I have but one brother and for that I thank my parents." I chuckled as I pulled him tighter.
Wiping away his tears, I pulled him close to me for a kiss. Just like the first time, I swear I saw sparks. He looked at me and smiled. Reaching up he kissed me back and we let ourselves fall into the kiss. I'm sure we could have stayed like that for a while until we heard a cough.
"So I take it everything is ok?" Justin's voice appeared to have come out of nowhere.
Hitting a switch on the keyboard, Lance replied, "J, Have you been listening in the whole time?"
"Of Course. You taught me well old grasshopper." Lance started to chuckle.
"What's so funny?" I asked him.
"Wherever Justin is, he is doing his Chinese man imitation you moving his mouth and stuff." He giggled a little more.
"I heard that Lansten. Will your boy is getting mighty hungry up here. And Chris is getting his butt whopped by him." Suddenly we heard a muffled noise and an "Ow"
Then Matt's voice picked up "It's Bum. We don't use the B Word it's bad!"
Laughing, I kissed Lance once more and headed up the stairs.
Lance had chosen a small café down the street from the compound. Because it sat across the street from a park, Lance and I decided to finish our coffee on the go and let Matt run around with the other kids. "Matt, please be careful. Your mom will have a cow if you get dirty!" I shouted to him as he slid down the slide.
"Oh Will. He's just a kid. Let him get dirty." Lance giggled as he watched the children play. "Weren't you ever a kid?" He asked still giggling.
"Yes Lance I was a kid. But his mother is quite unique when it comes to her son." I replied. "I'm pretty sure she would much rather me bring him back in handcuffs than him dirty." I looked at him. He had just taken a sip of his coffee and when he realized what I said he ended up spitting it out everywhere. Laughing hysterically we both jumped up to find a towel. Suddenly Matt came running over waving his hands. "DADDY!!! I need my medication!!" As I calmed down I looked at Matt and said "Ok Little buddy its in the car. Its time for us to go anyway, so lets roll." Grabbing Lances hand, we all made our way back to my car.
As we were driving back to the compound Lance asked, "So Will, what are you plans until we meet later?"
"Well I have to drop off Matt before 4, at which time I have a meeting in downtown Orlando. I should be done by 5, so then I will head home and change to come get my sweetie." I smiled at him. "Then of course I have to get you and go to dinner."
That earned me a punch in the arm. "What did you do that for?" I asked.
"Punch Bug." He replied.
"Punch Bug, Punch Bug I want to play!!" Matt squealed form the backseat.
"How about I go with you to drop off Mr. Matthew, then we can spend a few moments together before you have to rush off?" He asked me
"Sounds like a plan Stan." I looked at him. Reaching across the seat he took my hand in his and settled back into his seat.
The feeling of the warm sun on my head, the wind whipping through my hair and the man I want to love holding my hand was unforgettable. It was about 2:15 when we dropped Matt off. Lance and I had driven to this quiet serene place near the compound.
As we sat looking at the lake, Lance went through my cd collection. Looking at me he smiled as he asked, "So you really are a fan eh?" as he held up NSYNC cd's.
"Well yeah. I thought I told you that." I looked at him. Gods the way the light was shining on him he was truly heaven sent. It was almost like the song "God must have spent a little more time on you!" As I thought this I realized that was the song he put on the radio. Giggling I turned to find he had gotten out of the car and was walking around to my side.
Putting his hand on my door, he asked, "May I have this dance sir?"
"Why yes, yes you may." He opened my door and took hold of my hand. Pulling me close to him, he put his arms around my neck. My arms went around his waist and we locked ourselves in a tight embrace.
'Can this be true,
Tell me can this be real?
Tell me how can I put into words what I feel?'
'My Life was complete,
I thought it was whole
But they broke the mold when you came in this world.'
'I never thought that love could feel like this
Never thought my world would change with just one kiss'
Realizing that the car radio was lost in Lances' singing I just looked at him and realized that was the exact moment I fell for him. Not Lance the singer, or celebrity, But Lance Bass from Mississippi. As the song ended Lance looked up at me and I rewarded him with a deep passionate kiss. When it ended Lances knees had all but collapsed under him and if my arms weren't still around him he would have fallen down.
"Wow. Will.... Wow..." was all he could manage to say.
"Lance I have made a decision about something." I stepped away from him.
"What is it baby?" He asked as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
"I can't tell you right now, but I will tell you soon. I promise." I said as I turned and looked at him. Staring at my angel for what seemed like an eternity his cell phone rang.
As he let himself out of the embrace, I walked behind him to the car and sat on the hood.
I could hear him talking to someone as I slipped back and laid my head on the windshield. Looking up at the sky I drifted off into my dream world. All I could think of was Lance and how he made me feel. This feeling was incredible, and I don't remember the last time I felt like this. Coming out of my thoughts, I heard (rather felt) Lance approach.
"Babe, It's getting late. I don't want you to miss your meeting." He said as I climbed off the car.
"Oh yeah my meeting." I said as I stifled a yawn. Climbing back into the car we were off to the compound.
After I dropped Lance off, I hit the local drug store and bought some caffeine pills to keep me awake. Driving around the block a couple times, I finally found the correct building. As I approached the parking structure, this maniac in a jeep came barreling out of nowhere. Nearly hitting me, I yelled "YOU MORON!" at him. We both started to ascend the spiral road towards the top of the parking lot. He started playing games by looking in his mirror and stopping in the middle of the road. Then speeding up and slamming on his brakes. I thought 'this guys gonna hurt someone!' So of course I decided to play his game. Anticipating his next series of turns I cut him off by going through a row of unused spots. Now that I was in front of him, I used the stop and go method a couple of times. He seemed to have trouble because the next thing I knew he was stalled out a couple rows below me. Stopping to make sure he was ok, I looked over the railing.
Amazingly this asshole had the nerve to yell, "You fucking jerk, you made me damage my car! You will pay for this!!" I just looked at him and flipped him off as I watched him push his car into the nearest spot. Noting his apparel, I would ask at Johnny Wright's office if anyone knew him. Looking at the clock I was almost late. I too parked in the nearest spot and got the elevator.
Walking onto the floor that housed Wright Management I was in complete shock. I wasn't sure I was even in the right place because there were so many beautiful people around. Hot guys and beautiful girls all seemed to stare at me as I made my way up to the receptionist's desk. "Excuse Me, I am looking for Mr. Wright?" I smiled at the handsome man at the desk. Smiling back at me he answered, "Aren't we all? Have a seat over there with the rest of the kids and when your name is called, you can meet the talent agents." He seemed impressed by what he said.
Quietly I replied in turn "Listen sweetie, I'm not one of those sugar queens that needs a job. I have one; in fact I have many of them. I'm actually here on official business with Mr. Wright, The real person, Mr. John Wright. I have an appointment so if you would move your perfectly manicured nails to the appointment book you will see it." The man glared at me like he was ready for a catfight. I noticed the other girls who were working the receptionist's station were looking on in sheer fascination.
"Oh yes I see it. Mr. Benson? From Boston? Yes that must be you." He snidely replied.
"Derek!" One of the other girls shouted quietly. "He's the one Johnny's been after to see!"
"Well I see my presence has been requested. Derek would you kindly ring Mr. Wright for me? And for your information, I have already found my personal Mr. Right." I said, as he looked at me almost in sheer shock. As I turned away from the desk, I noticed the man from the jeep huffing and puffing his way into a back room.
"Mr. Wright will be right with you." Derek said as he motioned for me to sit across from the desk. "Can I get you a cup of coffee?" he asked with fake niceties.
"No thank you, just some peace from you is all. You're dismissed." I said with dramatic flair. I hate being flamboyant but when needed I can be.
Just then, a large man appeared at the door.
"Cynthia? Can you send Mr. Benson in?" He asked
Standing up I walked over and introduced myself. "Greetings, I'm Will Benson."
"Greetings yourself. I'm Johnny Wright please come in."
Walking through a spacious office area, he directed me to an open door. "We will be in there shortly. I am just waiting for one of the clients, he uhh had an accident." He said as he approached the coffee pot.
"Oh my. Is it serious? Is he hurt?" I asked with genuine interest.
"Only his pride. He had some kind of car trouble then spilt coffee on his pants." He said.
Holding up his mug, he asked "Coffee?"
"No Thanks." I said. I was looking around the office when I heard the door close.
Looking up I saw the man from the parking garage enter. As we locked eyes on each other we both said the same thing. "YOU!"
Johnny looked up from the coffee are and smiled. "Josh! So nice of you to join us! This is the hotel owner I was telling you about, Mr. William Benson. Will? This is Josh Chasez."
Well what do ya think? Doing good so far? Lemme know!!
