Millennium Love -9-10 Scott
Millennium Love Parts 9 & 10 - Scott
Author's Notes: WOW!!! I had no idea begging could be so effective!
Thank you so much to everyone who wrote after my little plea in Parts 7/8 - it really meant alot to know that there are people reading. And now that I know I won't beg again - although the email is ALWAYS desirable - BUT I won't beg - at least until maybe part 20 or so. :-))
So, as usual: All the text in BLACK is common, but the text in BLUE is unique to that character's story. So for those that only want to read what's different between the characters, now you can.
As Before: This story is a little different. For each section, you have a choice to read the story from the view point of one of the two main characters: the fictional Scott Waters or Brian Littrell. BUT: If you read the story from both view points you'll get the entire story, particularly when the characters are not together.
I apologize if I seem to be in a bit of a time warp, but the idea for the story came to me and it fit the time line (hence the story's name Millennium Love). The story starts in October 1998 and runs up to the new millennium. Also, if some events don't coincide with real events remember, it's only fiction!
Legalities: This story is fictitious. It is not meant to imply anything about any of the Backstreet Boys or anyone else. No, I am not Brian Littrell, or Scott Waters. If you're offended, go away. If you're curious, keep reading, you might like it ;-)
Once again, PLEASE let me know what you think at kenitra_canada@hotmail.com
Thanks for reading.

Millennium Love Parts 9 & 10 - Scott
(Last time...)
I gave him a squeeze and said, "It will get better, you know."
Brian pulled back and looked at me. "Is that possible?" he wondered aloud. I wiped the streaks from his face and gently kissed him.
"Yes," I said simply. He put his head back on my chest. I could sense that he was exhausted, but the release he'd just had, had also relaxed him. His breathing soon became rhythmic and I knew he was asleep. I snuggled down in the bed with my godling in my arms and drifted into oblivion.
Part 9
I woke up with a strange weight on my chest. Then the memory of the night before came flooding back. I looked down at my love sleeping in my arms and couldn't believe it. `How did this happen? What had I done to deserve this godling?' I shook my head. `Don't try to understand it Scott. Just accept it and enjoy it,' my little voice said. I agreed.
I gently lifted Brian's arm off my chest and rolled out from under him. He murmured in his sleep but didn't wake up. After using the bathroom, I proceeded down the hall to the kitchen. Looking at the clock on the wall, I was surprised to see it was eight-thirty. I had really slept in; five-thirty being my workweek wake-up time. I put the kettle on, then realized I was ravenous. Brian probably would be too. I went through the fridge pulling out ingredients for an omelette - eggs, milk, cheese, bacon and tomatoes.
I went to work creating a huge omelette for the two of us. I made some tea for myself and kept the kettle hot. I'd make some instant coffee for Brian just before taking in breakfast. I kept an ear listening for sounds of movement in the bedroom.
Once everything was ready, I pulled out the red tray - that had somehow ended up in my luggage when I moved out of residence at university. Setting everything carefully in place, I walked back down the hall, just in time to hear the water shut off in the bathroom. As I entered the bedroom, Brian was just crawling back onto the bed. At some point, he had pulled on his boxers.
"Good morning," I said, smiling at him.
"Morning," he said softly. I knew immediately that something was wrong when he wouldn't meet my eyes.
I set the tray on top of my dresser and went over to the bed. I sat down beside him and took his hands in mine. "Brian, what's wrong?" I asked gently. I could see tears well up in his beautiful eyes and became concerned that something was seriously wrong.
"I'm sorry, Scott," he finally got out. Now I was confused.
"Sorry for what, Brian?" I asked. He still wouldn't look at me.
"I just showed up here last night. I was so wired. I put you on the spot when I came on so strong. I didn't intend for anything to happen last night. I wasn't going to rush things." He was crying now. For some reason, he thought he had pushed me into something last night.
"Brian," I said firmly, "look at me." He raised his eyes, still wet with tears. "Do you regret what happened last night?"
He shook his head, "No, but.." I stopped him from continuing.
"Brian, I have no regrets. I could see that you were still hyped from the awards and I didn't want us to get too carried away. I want us to make love to each other when we're both ready. But I was also willing to go further than just kissing. I wanted to give you pleasure." I paused and looked at him intently. "Did I?"
He blushed, but kept eye contact. "Yes!" he whispered.
"Then neither of us has anything to regret or apologize for. Last night was what it was. Whatever happens next will be a mutual decision, okay?"
He nodded and a smile crept across his face. "I will never forget it, Scott," he said sincerely. I leaned forward and kissed him.
"Good. Now, are you hungry?"
"Famished," he said with a grin.
I picked up the tray and set it on his lap. Then I sat down on the bed beside him, both of us leaning against the headboard. Brian went for the coffee first. He swallowed then made a face. I laughed.
"Sorry, love, its instant. I don't drink it so I've never had a reason to keep *real* coffee on hand, until now."
Brian smiled. "I'll survive," he said, then dug into the omelette. I joined him.
"Brian, how did you get here last night?" I asked, suddenly remembering my surprise when I woke up to find him lying beside me. "How did you know where I lived?"
He grinned sheepishly. "Well, you know my cousin is very adept at using the internet." He leaned over and stole a kiss, before continuing his explanation. "When I went to get ready for the awards, I called Kev on his cell phone. I asked him to do a search, that Canada411 phone book site. If he found listings for Scott or M. Waters in Ontario, we could match the phone number you gave me. We found a match. The car is a rental we had at the hotel. And the door was unlocked!"
It was my turn to steal a kiss. "You have no idea how happy I am that you showed up. When I went to bed I was thinking I wouldn't make it through till morning without seeing you." I blushed when I remembered something else. "I saw your performance last night, and the acceptance speech ... that was sweet," I finished lamely.
Brian looked at me intently. "I meant every word Scott. I asked Frack to let me sing first, because of the lyrics."
"And every word went directly to my heart, Brian," I said smiling.
We finished breakfast, then Brian shoved the tray over onto my lap, springing out of bed. He turned and stood there looking at me. (And looking very sexy, wearing nothing but black boxers!)
"So what are we going to do today?" he asked with a grin in his face and a spark in his eyes. I looked at him thoughtfully, then glanced down at the empty spot beside me. He laughed and jumped on the bed, quickly kissing me before springing back. "There'll be time for that too, my Angel," he said. "I would like to just hang out, talk and get to know more about you Scott." He turned serious. "Is that okay?"
I held out my hand. Brian took it and I pulled him to me. I hugged him and whispered, "whatever you want, my heart. I'm in no rush. I just love being near you, seeing you smile and hearing that sexy voice of yours."
He laughed softly. "You think my voice is sexy?"
"You have no idea!" I replied before turning his head and kissing him passionately. When both of us were breathless, I released him. "So why don't you go shower now. I'll do the dishes, then shower when you're done." I moved off the bed, taking the tray with me. Just as I reached the door, I said over my shoulder, "Unless you want me to scrub your back?"
Brian laughed and picked up the overnight bag he must have brought in the night before. I carried the tray into the kitchen and had just set it down when the phone rang.
"Hello," I said.
"Hey Scott, its Michael." I could hear the water running in the bathroom.
"Hi Mike, what's up?" Michael was an old friend from high school. One of the few who hadn't turned and run in the opposite direction when I came out. He lives nearby and we've remained good friends.
"Me and some of the guys are going to get together and play some b-ball. The weather is great for this time of year. You interested?"
Basketball, Brian loved it. Maybe he would like to play, if we could do it without him being recognized. "Well, I have a friend visiting, so I'll have to check with him. What time were you meeting?" I asked as I started washing the dishes.
"We were thinking about ten thirty, at the school. How about this Scott - you guys show, we'll play three on three, if you can't make it, we'll just play two on two."
"Okay Mike, that sounds good. I'll talk to you later." I hung up the phone and finished washing and drying the dishes.
A few minutes later Brian came into the kitchen wearing baggy blue jeans and a navy Nike t-shirt. He walked over to me and I wrapped my arms around him, kissing him. I would never get enough of him. I picked him up and sat him on the counter in front of me. I could have just stood there and kissed him all day. Unfortunately, after almost ten minutes, Brian pulled back gasping for air.
"If we keep this up, I'll need another shower," he said with a grin. "And you still have to take one!"
"Hey, you're welcome to join me," I said sweetly.
"Yeah, then we'd never get out of here," he laughed.
"By the way," I said, "while you were showering, a friend called and asked if I wanted to join him and some others for some hoops." Brian looked up, a glint in his eyes.
"B-ball!" he said. I could tell he liked the idea.
"Yeah. I told him I had a friend visiting and I'd have to check with him. So if we want to play, they're meeting at ten-thirty," I said, then waited.
"Are any of them gay?" Brian asked.
I shook my head. "Not that I know of."
"Well, if you can keep your hands to yourself for a couple of hours..." he looked at me with a smirk.
"Me?" I said indignantly. "You're the one who can't keep his hands to himself." I quickly jumped out of his firing range as he threw a banana at me. I continued down the hall, but called back to Brian, "It's your choice love. Think about it while I get cleaned up."
Part 10
I'd followed Brian's lead and was dressed in blue jeans and a black t-shirt when I joined him a couple of minutes later. He was flipping through a magazine and looked up with a mischievous grin on his face.
"So, my Angel, tell me, have you forgotten anything today?" he asked, trying not to laugh.
I was perplexed. I couldn't think of anything so I went into the kitchen to look at the calendar, Sunday, October 11 - Thanksgiving. "Oh my God!" I said aloud. Brian came around the corner with a silly grin on his face. I looked at him. "How'd you know I'd forgotten?"
"Your Mother called."
"You were talking to my Mom? What did you tell her?"
"Well," he drawled, "She knows I'm from Kentucky, my name's Brian and she told me to call her Louise." He was getting a kick out of this.
"I guess I'll call her and tell her I can't make it," I said reluctantly. I hated to miss Thanksgiving, but I wasn't about to leave Brian.
"Why? Don't you want me to meet your parents?" he asked hurt.
I was surprised. I walked over to him and pulled him into a bear hug. "Of course I do, Brian. I just didn't think you wanted people to know yet, and there is no way I can hide my feelings from my Mom." I pulled back and looked at him intently. "If you're willing to deal with a parental interrogation, then lets do it. I would be proud to introduce you to my parents," I added. He nodded.
"Okay, that takes care of dinner. So what's the decision on hoops?" I asked.
He gave me one of his brilliant smiles and my heart flipped. "Lets do it! I haven't had a chance to play basketball in a couple of weeks. I don't imagine there'll be any press around so.."
"No one can prove its you!" I finished for him.
We grinned at each other, then grabbed our jackets and went out to the car. We decided to take mine since I was driving. Before I pulled out of the driveway I reached over and gave Brian a deep kiss.
"That's to hold you until we're alone again," I said with a wink and started the car. Brian just leaned back and sighed happily.
It was only a five-minute drive to the local high school where three basketball courts were located. I pulled around to the side of the school and we could see a group of guys passing around a couple of basketballs. I recognized the four men, having played ball with them before.
"You ready?" I asked Brian, giving his hand a squeeze.
"Oh yeah. Let's go kick some ass!" he said and got out of the car. He was hyped.
We walked over to the others and I did the introductions. They were standing in a semi circle so I went around the ring. "Brian, this is Jim, Michael, Jeff and Dan. Guys this is Brian Thomas," I said using Brian's middle name as a last name. Everyone shook hands.
Brian and I did some warm-ups then we divided into teams; Brian, Michael and I against Jim, Jeff and Dan. We did just as Brian had wanted - kicked some ass! We won the first game 21 - 13. For the next few games, we alternated two on two, while two guys sat out.
Brian was on a roll. Regardless of who he was teamed with, he won every time. I missed noticing Michael look at Brian a few times. I was too busy watching my love. God he was gorgeous, and an incredible ball player.
At about one, we called it quits. The guys had to get home as most were having their holiday dinner that evening just as my folks were. Everyone but Michael had left as we walked back to the cars. Brian and Michael shook hands then Brian continued to my car. I stopped to talk to Michael for a minute.
Michael looked over at Brian and called out, "Good games, B-Rok!"
Everything froze. Brian had automatically turned around upon hearing his nickname, then realized what he'd done. I just stared at Michael. There was no point in trying to deny it, we could only hope for his silence.
"How did you know, Michael?" I asked.
Michael grinned at me. "Scott, you forget that I have a thirteen year old sister? Her bedroom is plastered with posters of the Backstreet Boys, especially her favorite, Brian `B-Rok' Littrell." Michael finally noticed the looks on our faces and lost his smile. Then I could see comprehension wash over him. Michael looked intently at me, then at Brian who had walked back to stand beside me.
"Oh!" Michael said.
"Michael, you have to promise that you won't tell anyone, Please?" I wasn't quite begging, but almost. Brian didn't say anything. He didn't need to. I could see the look of fear in his eyes. Without even thinking I took his hand and squeezed it. "Michael, this could destroy Brian's life and the entire band."
Michael had noticed my actions, and had seen the fear in Brian's face. He shrugged, "Who would believe me anyway? I won't say anything," he paused, "On one condition." He looked at Brian. "Could you guys send an autographed picture to my sister Kristen?"
Brian looked up. "That's it?"
Michael smiled, "That's it." He turned to look at me. "Scott, we've been friends a long time. I saw they way you were looking at Brian." I couldn't help but blush. "If my silence keeps that silly grin on your face, then hey, my lips are sealed." I returned his smile and held out my hand.
"Thanks Mike."
Michael opened his car door, then stopped. "Now don't forget that picture, eh?" He waved, and drove off.
Brian and I remained standing where we were. I let go of his hand, remembering that we were standing in public. We looked at each other and I could see that some of the fear had gone, but he still looked sad. I touched his arm. "Lets get out of here, love," I said and we went to my car. The five-minute drive back to my place was completely silent.
The second we walked in the door, Brian flung his arms around me. "God, I hate this Scott," he whispered, near tears. I led him to the living room and sat down on the couch, pulling Brian onto my lap.
"I'm sorry, love. I should have remembered about Michael's sister," I said, stroking his cheek.
Brian shook his head, "No Angel, you don't have to be sorry. We can't know everything about everyone. We'll just have to be more careful." He sighed. "What time to we have to leave for your parents' place?" he asked.
"You still want to go?" I asked.
Brian looked at me, his pale blue eyes piercing me. "Yes. I think we can trust your parents with the truth, don't you?" I nodded and pulled his face to mine.
A while later, my stomach began to growl. The clock on the wall said two o'clock. Brian had his head tucked in against my shoulder and I thought he had fallen asleep. I ran my fingers through his hair, loving the texture of his golden crown; he began to purr like a kitten.
"Love," I said softly into his hair.
"Mmm," he murmured.
"If we're still planning on going to my parents', I need to take a shower and change," I whispered.
"So who's stopping you?" he asked innocently, as his hands began to wander. Suddenly he slid off my lap and turned to straddle me, his knees on the couch either side of me. He continued talking. "I certainly wouldn't try to stop you from taking a shower so you smell more presentable for you mother." As he talked, he ran his hands down my chest to the waist of my jeans. He grabbed the bottom of my t-shirt and pulled it up. I leaned forward and raised my arms so he could take it off completely. He threw it over his shoulder and returned his attention to me.
Brian lowered his head to my throat and began kissing, working his way along my collarbone out to my shoulder and back again. As he kissed, he began to hum. It took me a minute to realize he was humming `As Long As You Love Me' at a slower tempo than normal. I smiled and leaned back, losing myself to the sensations Brian was creating.
Once done with my throat and shoulders, he began to work his way down. He licked down the center of my smooth chest before running his tongue around my right nipple. I let out a low moan; God that felt good. I shivered and he moved across to the other side.
"Brian," I said softly and he lifted his head to look into my eyes. "Do you have any idea what you're doing to me?"
He smiled and I caught my breath. "I think I have a pretty good idea, if this lumpy seat I'm sitting on is any indication," he said with a laugh.
I really didn't want him to stop, but I knew my parents were expecting us. I grabbed his arms and rolled over, pinning him to the couch. "You know, I'm going to have to tell my mother that you tried to stop me from going for dinner," I said with a semi-straight face.
"Oh, please don't. Please don't tell," Brian pretended to beg. "I'll do *anything* you want, Angel, just don't tell your Mom."
"Anything?" I asked with a wicked grin.
Brian grinned back, knowing what I was thinking. He nodded, "Anything!"
I leaned in and kissed him softly, whispering in his ear, "I'll hold you to that, Love." Then I released him and headed for the shower. I didn't know which was worse; stopping what we'd been doing, or the new anticipation of what would take place this evening when we came back.
I showered quickly and changed into a pair of casual black pants and a green sweater (my favorite color combination.) Brian appeared a short time later wearing a white turtleneck and gray pants. I shook my head; he looked amazing in whatever he wore.
It was a thirty-minute drive northeast to my parents' home. As I headed out the door, I grabbed the CD Brian had given me at dinner the night before. I wanted to ask him about `The Perfect Fan'.
As we drove, Brian asked me questions about my family. I told him about my older sister Liz, her husband Denis and their young son Andre, as well as my older brother Charlie and his wife Carrie, and my kid sister Sheri who was away at university. My mother Louise was registered nurse, while my Dad, Richard, worked for the government in natural resources. I had two sets of aunts and uncles, but no first cousins. As far as I knew, only my parents, Brian and I would be at dinner.
About halfway there, I started playing the CD. I skipped forward to the last song. "Brian, would you tell me about this song?" I asked quietly. He listened to the music start and a peaceful smile crossed his face. "It's yours, isn't it?"
He nodded. "Yes. How'd you know?"
I shrugged. "As soon as I heard it, heard your voice, I just knew. The words sound like you, love, respect, gratitude."
He smiled over at me. "That's basically what it's about. Most people think it's about my heart problem and surviving the surgery. In part, I guess it is. But it's more than that. I realized that I was gay about a year after the band formed. I don't know if you can imagine what I felt like. My family is very religious and I was sure that they would turn their backs on me if they knew. So, I didn't tell anyone. For almost five years, I lived the lie everyone wanted. Eventually it started to eat at me. I became nervous, stressed out. I wasn't eating or sleeping properly. About a month before the surgery, I had a mini breakdown. I left the band and went home. Obviously, Mom knew something was wrong. Finally I told her."
Brian paused to take a deep breath. "I told her and waited for her to yell at me, throw me out. But I underestimated her." His smile returned. "She was surprised, and disappointed. But the first thing she said was `Brian, I love you and I always will, no matter what.' It took a little while for her and my Dad to come to terms with it. But never once did they say, `You're sick' or `It's not natural.'" He looked over at me. "THAT'S what the song is really about. She continued to love me." I could see tears in his eyes but he was smiling. I reached over and took his hand. I held it for the rest of the drive.
