Words from our author: Welcome back! I guess you're enjoying it, or you wouldn't be returning to my story. Hey, remember the reader I mentioned last chapter? The one who said he wouldn't be back? I'll bet he came back, we always do. This is my time, the time for you to really become familiar with me. I let myself go here in my little soapbox; I give you all pieces of who I am.

I want to thank you all for your continued e-mails and instant messages. I am overwhelmed with each and every one of your thoughts. I have been bombarded with responses to my work; over four hundred letters have reached me. I have some readers as far away as the United Kingdom. I read a letter from Norway. To each and every one of you, I have responded, some more than once. I love the IM's; some of you can be so cute.

Let me tell you some of the comments I get. "I love you and your writing" - my favorite, then the IM, "How'd you get to be so good, and so Kewl?" I didn't know what to say, so I sent the "aww :)". One of the most popular questions I get is "how old are you?" The answer I give is "I was born on a full moon and am a little over 18." Hey, it's the truth. :) Wink, wink. One reader said, "You try too hard for humor." I thought to myself, yep, he's right. I really want all of us to laugh at ourselves. I want to bring some happiness into your lives. To make you laugh, I have to be able to have you identify with a given humorous situation. This is something I need to work on. One fellow author told me "you try too hard, try to have fun." That was some sound advice. You mean I can put down that thesaurus and just write from the heart? Well, here goes.

Thanks, Ed, for your editing my stories and helping to make my dream possible.

I sat on my bed and looked to Eugene; he sat there on that beanbag that was to the right of my computer center. It was lime green; hey, green is my favorite color. I still had no clue what Eugene wanted to tell me.

I stared at the five foot eight brunette with the masculine looks. He kept his hair short, and his was straight, unlike my curly top. He had the nicest set of blue eyes; when he looked at you, you felt his warmth. They sat right there above the cutest little button of a nose. His lips were full and he had perfect teeth; he never had to wear the braces like I had. He had a nice body, very muscular; he only weighed about one hundred and thirty pounds.

I wondered to myself when he had become so handsome. I mean I had known Eugene since we were little, when he was gawky. As I sat on my bed looking toward Eugene, a leaf fell off the tree behind my bed onto me. The only problem with such a huge monstrosity behind my bed was the occasional falling leaf.

Eugene looked at me, his blue eyes looking right into my green eyes, and he said, "Well, if James is going to call, maybe I should catch you later." He began to get out of the beanbag.

"No, Gene, I wanted to tell you something, wait," I said and smiled at him. He sat back down and smiled back to me. I had never called him Gene before, and I wondered if he liked it. "Do you mind if I call you Gene?" I asked.

"No, it sounds so friendly coming from you, Michael," he said as his face turned a slight shade of red.

"Well, it's just that for so long we haven't really talked, and held some grudge against each other. I'd like to have you back in my life. I felt so bad for you today. I couldn't imagine how hurt you were," I said to my re-found friend, and a tear formed in my eye.

"Gee, Michael, I don't know what to say. I would like that very much. You have no idea how you're making me feel. I have wanted to be friends with you for so long. That's why I hit the flat, I did it on purpose. I got on the stage, and the last person I saw as I climbed the stairs was you; I closed my eyes and thought back to when we were kids, and wanted to have that friendship back. I purposely hit the flat, then I felt it was a vain attempt, and you wouldn't want me to be your friend anyway. That's why I cried, I hurt so badly," Eugene stated, and looked to me for approval. I gave it to him in my eyes; I had begun to cry.

"Hey," I said as I grabbed a tissue to wipe the tears away, "Let's get out of here, seems to be too much dust or something." I smiled at him, I started to climb out of the bed, and Gene got out of the beanbag.

We both rose and stood in my bedroom looking at each other and, without any real thought hugged one another. I felt that old familiar feeling, I worried slightly because I had James, and nothing would ever change the love I shared with James.

We walked up the hall, chatting like old friends. We dropped through the living room. I poked my head into the front room where my parents were watching Jeopardy. "The answer is..." I heard coming from the television. "Hey, Mom and Dad, Gene and I are going out," I said into the room.

"See you 'round the campus," Dad said; it was his favorite line. "You need any money?" he asked; that was my favorite line.

"Noper, Dad's, I'm straight," I said in my best raver boy imitation. Hey, here in Covington it was image, all images. "I'll be home about ten."

"Michael, you behave yourself out there. We love you," Mom said. No matter what, whenever my Dad or I would leave, Mom would tell us she loved us. It didn't matter how old I would get, or who would be in the room, she always said it before we parted company.

We decided to walk over to James's and grab him up, and cruise on over to the mall. James's Mom would take us. We had the plan; James would have to provide the ride. Hey, he did say he wanted me to get some new wraps for the concert. So really it was his invitation, so he had to give up on the ride. Hell, the mall was all the way down in Portland; we were lucky to have the 'Lobster Shed' in Covington.

We were standing on James's back porch, waiting for someone to answer the door. Mrs. Libby finally greeted us; boy, did she have a surprised look on her face. Shocked, actually; she knew we hadn't hung around Eugene for years. I'd made a mental note never to play cards with her. "Hello, boys, its good to see you, Eugene, it has been a long time. Come in and I'll call James," Mrs. Libby said as she turned around and yelled, "James, someone's here for you, James, come down here."

I thought to myself, I hope she gives us some privacy. That was one thing about the Libbys, they were too overprotective. It was smothering at times, so James and I would seek refuge in the game room or his bedroom. It wasn't that we had to hide things from her; well, one thing. I just wanted to reintroduce Gene to James privately. I'd just have to use my eyes, he'd understand.

James came around the corner from the living room. At first he didn't notice Eugene, and if he did, he didn't recognize him. The second he did, I saw it. I looked at him and said, "let's go on the porch" with our secret language; he motioned to the door with a nod of his head. We stepped outside.

"Jeesh, Eugene, are you all right, after today and all? We felt really bad for you," James, my love, said and I knew he felt real concern. I could see it in his baby blues. God, I loved him.

"Yeah, thanks, James, it was really embarrassing. I'm afraid to go to school tomorrow," Eugene said with all seriousness. His eyes locked on mine as he said it. I understood what he was saying to me without verbalizing it; he wanted me to keep his secret of why he hit the flat note on purpose.

I thought about it; could I? I had never kept a secret from James, but if I wanted Eugene back in my life, I would accept the terms. I looked back to Eugene and nodded my head. "Hey, buddy, you think your Mom will run us to Portland, so I can get the new duds for the concert?" I asked James.

"As a matter of fact, we were going to go there in a little while," James said, and was asking me with his baby blues what was going on.

"Cool, wanna rematch at Ping-Pong?" I asked James and smiled.

"Uh, sure. You play, Eugene?" James turned his attention to Eugene.

"I haven't played since we were ten. The last time I played was with you guys. I'd love to," Eugene said, and smiled; all his perfect teeth showed.

We walked back into the Libbys' humble abode. James said to his Mom as they passed through the kitchen, "We'll be ready to go, after a game of Ping-Pong." Always short and to the point.

"OK, honey, I'll yell down to you," Mrs. Libby said, still in amazement from Eugene being there.

I walked down the stairs to the family room first, James was hot on my heels, and Eugene trailed behind. We were like old buds again. I was happy, but wondered where this newfound friendship would take us. You know what they say, two's company and three's a crowd. James and I had been together, just the two of us, for so long. How would we keep our secret and maintain the friendship with Eugene?

The Libby game room was a spectacular room. Mr. Libby had finished the basement off himself. No detail was left undone. The walls were painted a pale yellow; the ceiling was an acoustical drop in, with yellow metal strips that divided the two-by-four-foot panels. The lighting was drop-in fluorescent, and the carpet was electric blue. Mrs. Libby had upholstered all the furniture in bright yellows and pale blues. The colors were very cheerful. The Libbys did a lot of entertaining in the game room. It had an entertainment center on one end of it; the twelve-foot-long sofa and four matching chairs sectioned off this area. The Ping-Pong table was the center attraction. On the left wall as you came down the stairs was the kitchenette, complete with a ten foot banquet table and folding chairs. The room had everything you could desire in a game/family room. The wall to the right of the stairs had the computer center. The only thing it didn't have was a bar; the Libbys didn't drink alcohol.

We played three games of Ping-Pong and really had a great time catching up with Eugene. I pondered over and over how we had lived in the same neighborhood and had such a falling out, and now we got along like we had been lifelong friends. I reflected on the conversation Eugene and I had in my bedroom earlier that day. I thought of James and me. It only took about thirty minutes for James to beat us all. He trounced Eugene twenty-one to six; he took it easy on me and let me get nineteen points to his twenty-one.

Right after our game. James's Mom yelled down the stairs and said, "All aboard for Portland, the Libby station wagon leaves in five minutes. We closed everything up and turned off the lights. We made a fast dash to the car.

Mrs. Libby and James sat up front in the brand new Mercury Sable wagon. Eugene and I sat in the back. We had a nice ride to the mall. I noticed Eugene seemed to sit closer to me than was necessary and his leg seemed to rub against mine several times.

It was on the way home when it was dark; we all sat in the station wagon in the same places as when we rode to Portland. Eugene had gotten braver in his moves. He actually rubbed my leg, and put his right hand in my crotch. I couldn't help it, I got hard. My cock didn't seem to know it was Eugene and not James, nor did it care. I got lost in the feeling of the moment. I let Eugene tease at my hard dick, through my trousers.

I watched him out of the corner of my eye, and kept an eagle eye on the front seat passengers as well. My dick wanted to burst; everytime Eugene would push his hand into me, my stiff member thrust upward to meet his hand. I sat there, allowing this boy his enjoyment on my boner. I could feel the beginnings of my hot come fill my balls. My cock was on fire; I wanted to whip it out right there in the back seat. I wanted his mouth on me. I wanted to shoot my hot thick young boy come.

Eugene could sense it; he applied more pressure as he got me off. I shot my wad in my pants, right there behind my lover. I was excited by the fact that I was hiding a secret from the one I loved.

Wow, what was that all about? Michael and Eugene, right there in the Libby family car, with the Libbys there. Can you imagine? Where are we going? What's with all the secrets? Stay tuned for the upcoming chapter in this trilogy. If you have any comments please send them my way Justin69SK@aol.com
