MICHAEL & ROBERT
By Trevor Johnson
Chapter Thirty one
This story is a spin off from the adventures of Cliff & Derek. Michael you may recall was responsible for putting Cliff in hospital with some horrific injuries. Here we tell you his story.
Michael changed, was forgiven by Cliff. Met his lifetime lover Robert and between them established Britain's most successful plumbing business.
This story also contains sex between males including young males. If you find this type of reading not to your liking, please do not read any further.
Due to the fact my stories are now being published every three weeks I will be starting each new chapter with the final paragraph from the previous one to jog your memories.
When we got back to the boys room another nurse had relieved the night one and she was just as kind and thoughtful as the other. We spent a bit longer with the boys before explaining that we had to go to the office for the morning meeting but would be back with their lunch.
We kissed them both telling them to be good, in actual fact we told Miguel to be good and Serge to do the best he can which made them both laugh for the first time since the incident. We walked out of the room noticing that our two security guys were on duty outside.
As we walked down the corridor and out into the car park I noticed a couple of figures dodge behind a post and disappear, I thought it strange and a feeling of something terrible going to happen come over me. The figures looked familiar but I couldn't place them, but that feeling in the pit of my stomach persisted. When we got outside there was no one in sight and I was beginning to think it was me but that nasty feeling remained and persisted all day and the next day.
If only I had followed up on my feelings.
Now read on
The morning meeting went off without anything dramatic being discussed. All we had to do was make arrangements for who would be here for the Christmas holidays. The company by tradition had always closed down for the first two weeks of January so everyone could have a holiday. We left it up to Tony and Trent to work out a roster for the break.
After the meeting, we had lunch before getting ready to go back to the hospital, Ferdy and David asked if they could join us and we agreed.
We drove back to the hospital making our way to the boys' room, to find only one security guard outside. I asked were the other one was and was told he was on lunch. I blew my top at this telling the guard to get him back here now, they would get lunch when they were relieved.
I immediately called Steve our head of security who apologized saying he would get a relief down there straight away. The boys themselves were bored with being cooped up in a bare hospital room but as I pointed out to them until Miguel's breaks begin to mend, he will have to stay there. We left the boys to their own devices heading downstairs to the cafeteria.
Steve came in full of apologies, "Sorry about that guys a small breakdown in communication I thought I could rely on the troops to sort something out for themselves but no they can't even work out a simple roster."
"How's things going at Marjory's?"
"All quite at the moment, I believe our lawyers have persuaded her to sell the property and buy a nice little retirement place and also go on a long holiday. One of the neighbours has suggested that they both go on a cruise together."
"That'll be good for her but I don't think she'll leave her old home, her and Bill were there for so long I can't see her moving out too many memories to leave behind." Remarked Robert.
"Keep the security up for a few more days till we see what's happening."
Steve agreed to that and we began walking back up stairs to the boys' room. On the way I got that strange feeling again that, someone was watching us. I turned around and could have sworn someone ducked behind a post at the end of the corridor but I couldn't be sure.
I mentioned my feelings to Steve and Robert but neither of them said they noticed anything.
"I'll have a look around if you like." Steve said.
"No it must be my imagination running riot Steve."
Back in the boys room quite a sight met us as we walked through the door. Both Miguel and Serge were lying on the bed kissing passionately while Ferdy and David were going down on their cocks.
"Boys." I said sharply and all four jumped apart.
"Sorry dads we didn't hear you come in."
"That's obvious, but what would have happened if it had been a nurse or a doctor, that's not the way to carry on in a hospital boys."
All four looked sheepish and Serge said, "Sorry dads, but were bored and that's all we have to play with."
While I was trying to keep a straight face Robert and Steve control themselves any longer and cracked up laughing at Serge' excuse.
"If you're going to carry on like that Serge, you'd better not stay the night; you'll scare the living daylights out of the nurses behaving that way."
"Please dad, don't make me go home I want so much to stay with Miguel and I promise I will behave with no sexy stuff."
"You promise me nothing like that will happen?"
"We promise dad we'll just sleep and cuddle each other with no sexy stuff till Miguel comes home."
"All right then you can stay, Come on you other two it's time to go home for dinner and we'll see you two tomorrow after breakfast."
They said ok and there was kisses all round as we said goodnight.
As we left the room Steve spoke to the two security sitting guards outside making sure that they understood that under no circumstances must they leave their posts. If the wanted to take a leak they could use the boys private ensuite but never move away from the door for any other reason and they would be relieved first thing in the morning. After assuring Steve everything would be all right, we left, heading back to our building and our evening meal.
I still had that uneasy feeling that something unpleasant was going to happen and I mentioned this to Robert.
"Do you ever get that feeling of impending doom that something awful is going to happen?"
"Yes, I do darling but I feel nothing like that tonight, all I want to do is go to bed and make love to you." He replied nuzzling into my neck.
Holding his hand, we headed for our bedroom but I still didn't feel right. Once in our room Robert undressed me getting me hard as usual before going down on me. I quickly undressed him before we got into the sixty-nine position. Both of us got hot and excited and made love like we usually do but my heart just wasn't in it. We went all the way blowing our loads down each other's throats before kissing and sharing our juices. Laying in my lovers arms Robert said, "What's wrong darling, while that was a wonderful session full of love as always your heart just wasn't in it, was it?"
"Sorry baby but I still have that strange feeling of something terrible going to happen. Come on let's wake up Steve and head for the hospital something's wrong I know it."
Reluctantly Robert agreed so we quickly dressed heading for Steve and Paul's room. It was two am but that wasn't going to stop me. I banged on their door and a sleepy looking Steve dressed only in a dressing gown came to the door.
I explained my fears to him and I could tell by the look on his face that he thought I was crazy, but being the boss, he had no option but to get dressed and join us.
"Should call our security guys first and make sure everything's ok?" he suggested.
"No let's save time and head straight down there.
Steve drove and we headed down the hill to the hospital. With no traffic on the road, we made it in record time. The main entrance was closed so we had to go round to emergency entrance, hospital security stopped us and we explained were we wanted to go. He gave us the go-ahead and we headed for the elevator to take us to the boys' floor. We stepped out of the elevator and it was obvious something was wrong because there was a deadly silence.
We headed down to the nurses' station but it looked deserted. It was then that I noticed a pair of legs sticking out from behind the counter. I quickly ran behind the counter and found the night nurse lying on the floor with blood seeping from a head wound.
"Quick Steve sound the alarm and call security."
While he was doing that Robert and I dashed down the corridor to the boys' room and the sight outside was sickening. Our two security men were both lying in the corridor with similar head wounds as the nurse. The boys' room was wide open and there was no sign of Miguel or Serge.
I yelled for Steve who came running unable to speak I pointed to the empty room and our two guards. He immediately took command calling on his radio the code word for an emergency ordering as many of his people down here as possible, and then calling the police. Meanwhile an emergency crew of doctors and nurses had arrived to look after the three causalities. It transpired that all three had been hit very hard from behind, and suffered a split head and severe concussion.
They were taken down to emergency for treatment while the whole floor quickly filled with police, the hospitals security and ours. The room itself showed that there had been a bit of a struggle but the boys were no match for their captures.
I'm afraid at this stage both Robert and I lost the plot and went to pieces. Thank goodness, Steve was there to take charge. He right away contacted our building to make sure nothing had happened to the other two boys while we were away, giving strict instruction that they had to be guarded closely. He also contacted MI 5 getting the two guys who helped us with the Spanish mafia out of bed. They straight away began checking and making sure that the Spanish had nothing to do with what was obviously now a kidnapping. The chief constable arrived and we joined him and several other high-ranking officers along with Steve in the hospital managers' office.
"It certainly looks like a kidnapping and so far no one saw anything or heard anything. The only thing we can do in this type of situation is to set up a telephone intercept on all your phones and while we will of course continue with our investigations, which I can assure you will leave no stone unturned."
"That's all well and good chief constable but we have two young highly vulnerable boys out there one injured, they are our sons and we want them back no matter what it costs. I don't think it's the Spanish." I went on to tell them what I had been feeling for the past few hours along with the fact that I was sure someone was watching us all day today, but every time I turned round no one was there. The Chief Constable sympathized with us saying that the police would do everything in their power to get the boys back to us.
Steve spoke up when the police left us alone, "We can't do anything else here so I suggest we head back home and wait for the phone call which I am sure will come. The police are already there setting up recording equipment and organising for all calls to be traced."
With a tearful backward glance at the hospital room, which only a short while ago housed, our two sons we headed back home. The whole building was lit up and we found all the live in staff in the dining room waiting for news. Betty had come in from home and so had our housekeeper/cook, Beth who was busy making hot drinks and sandwiches for everyone.
Neither Robert nor I could eat anything we were so sick with worry, while Ferdy and David sat hugging each other and crying. Robert went over to them putting his arms around them saying, "Don't worry boys we'll do whatever we can to get the boys back, we all love them dearly and whoever took them will have a lot to answer for."
I joined them in a group hug and all four of us calmed down. Although it was becoming light outside we still hung on to each other gradually closing our eyes and dozing. Beth shook us fully awake to tell us breakfast was ready. Robert and I couldn't eat a thing but we made the boys try to have some food. It was certainly a very sad group of people sitting round the table.
Police technicians arrived to set up an array of equipment making contact with other police at the local telephone exchange who would try to trace the call as quickly as possible before the caller hung up. We had the usual morning management meeting but nobody's heart was in it and as far as any of us were concerned the business right now was in the background. Robert and I were continually breaking down and crying as we thought of what might be happening to those two poor boys. Steve, Paul, Tony, Trent, Nathan and Damien in fact all our gay friends tried to console us but without much luck. The wait for the phone to ring was slowly killing us. Our doctor arrived to see us, we hadn't asked for him and I suspect Shirley had called him so he could give us something to calm us down. He offered us some pills but both of us refused to take them, "We need to have our wits about us when that phone rings and I don't want to be in a half doped state of mind."
It was mid-afternoon when the first call came in, with both of us rushing to answer the phone. The police motioned for us to wait. Once the recorder was running and everyone was standing by I picked up the handset and put it on speaker phone.
"Hello?" I said timidly into the mouthpiece.
"You're missing two of your fagot sons, and if you want to ever see them again alive you'll do as we say."
"We'll do anything just as long as they are safe, but if you harm them in any way I will personally hunt you down and kill you that's a promise."
Laughing the voice said, "Big words for a fucking puff; we'll be in touch again soon." There was a click as the phone went dead.
Steve asked the police technician if he had any luck and he shook his head telling us that they weren't on the line long enough.
Another couple of detectives took me to one side asking me questions.
"Did he have any kind of accent?"
"I'm sorry it all happened so quickly, I couldn't say.'
"Did he sound young or old?"
"Oh dear look I was in such a state I couldn't tell you anything right now, I'm such an idiot all I was thinking about was those poor boys."
"Don't worry Steve and the others were also listening in maybe they can help."
They moved on to question all the others listening in but even Steve was unable to give them much help. They called us all together saying, "The next time they call and they will call again because they haven't made any demands yet; Will you all please try and concentrate on how they talk, any slang they might use which could give us some idea of their origin, maybe a bit of an overseas accent just in case it's our Spanish friends playing silly buggers, any slip of the tongue which might give something away."
We all said we would. The lead detective came up to me, "Don't bother too much on what I just said all I would like you to do is try and keep them talking for as long as possible so we can finish the trace. Ask to talk to the boys tell them you want to make sure they are alive and well by talking to them, stall, stall, stall. If they ask for money, stall yet again tell them it will take a while to get that amount of money together. If they make wild demands like a fast car or an airplane to fly them out of the country explain that you will have to go to a higher authority to organise that."
"I'll try to do all that, but it's not easy when two boys you love dearly are out there."
He agreed with me before excusing himself and going off to do something else.
Once more evening was fast approaching and Beth came in with some food telling us that we must eat something or we will be sick.
"I'm sorry Beth but Michael and I can't eat right now while those two boys are out there having who knows what done to them. We know you mean well and thanks for the effort you and all the others are putting in to help us get our boys back safe and well."
With tears rolling down her cheeks she hugged us both, "We miss them too but nowhere near as much as you two must after all you put your lives on the line to get them to England and to make them your own, don't give up."
We had a call on our other line which some of the other guys were monitoring keeping the press at bay. Nathan came up saying, "The vicars on the line asking to talk to you both."
We told him we'd take the call and to put it on speaker.
"Good evening vicar, what can we do for you tonight?"
"First may I say on behalf of the entire congregation how much we feel for you and those dear boys. I know you won't be able to attend but we are about to start a prayer vigil in the church which will go on until we have some good news, any of your staff and friends who would like to take part are more than welcome."
Neither Robert nor I could answer him so Nathan thanked him and the parishioners for their prayers, he would let all the staff know, and if they could be spared, they would call in during the night or tomorrow.
"I understand how Robert and Michael must feel right now, but everyone in this town are with you as one, we already have close to five hundred people here in the church and outside on their knees praying."
That did it as Nathan thanked him again Ferdy, David, Robert and I headed for our bedroom so that we could cry in private.
Holding onto each we lay on the bed sobbing our hearts out, until we finally closed our eyes and slept. We hadn't been asleep for long when a banging on the door woke us with a start.
"Quick hurry up they're back on the line." We all dashed out to the dining room and I picked up the phone.
"You took a long time to answer don't you want these two puffter brats back."
"Yes of course we do, are they all right?"
"They're still alive if that's what you're asking, but for how long depends on you."
"Please, oh please don't harm them they're only young boys what have they ever done to you."
"Shut the fuck up and listen. We want two million pounds in used notes a mixture of denominations, and don't insult my intelligence by telling me you don't have that much money, because we know that's just petty cash to you two fucking homos."
"How do we know they are all right can I talk to them to make sure they are alright?"
There was a pause and I could hear people whispering then a scuffling of feet.
"Hello dad, please do as they say Miguel is sick pl?."
The voice of Serge suddenly stopped and the other voice came on.
"That's proof enough, get the money put it into ordinary shopping bags and wait for our next call." Click and the line went dead. I had been standing by the table and suddenly my legs gave way from under me as I collapsed in a sobbing heap.
Ready hands picked me up and I could hear Robert crying and trying to sooth me at the same time. All this crying and falling to pieces was getting to me and I felt such a fool.
The detectives handling the calls asked for quite before the head guy said,
"We couldn't fully trace the call but we managed to get it down to one region and about three exchanges. From what we can tell they are local and calling from somewhere not too far away from us in fact they are either in the town or just on the outskirts."
That news shocked us and my immediate thoughts were this is someone we more than likely know.
"We are running through a list of people who have left the company or have had their employment terminated over the past twelve months but it doesn't look hopeful. Now anyone of you recognise anything, anything at all about them which will be of use to us?"
Steve spoke first, "I'm sure that is a local accent, they have that midland twang, not heavy like Birmingham, but more like round here. While they were getting Serge to the phone and whispering I was sure there were three voices."
Several of the others agreed with him and that news brightened us up a bit.
"Serge said or was going to say that Miguel was in pain, so Steve could you check with the doctor at the hospital and find out how all this would affect his broken limb."
I clung to Robert saying, "It was so good to hear his voice, he sounded as if he was all right but he was worried about Miguel."
"Don't worry lover they'll be ok and once we have them back they're never going to be out of my sight."
All through the night, we sat by the phone not taking a chance on walking away in case we miss a call. Paul our accountant was making arrangements for the money to be made available. Our bank manager had called for used notes from several local branches to make up the amount. Then his staff had the arduous task of noting down the serial numbers of every single banknote.
Both Robert and I had a shower as dawn approached not together but separate in case the phone rang and we sat down to a couple of pieces of buttered toast and fruit juice which was just about forced down our throats by Beth, who I pointed out to Robert hasn't been home since the boys went missing.
I had been racking my brain trying to bring back the picture of that someone dodging behind the post in the hospital because I'm sure it was someone I knew but just couldn't quite fix it in my mind.
Comforting me Robert said, "Don't worry it'll come back to you lover."
"Yes but by then it might be too late, and the boys will be dead."
Robert grabbed my collar lifting me out of my seat, "Don't ever talk like that again, the boys will be back I'm sure of it."
"Sorry sweetheart half the time I don't know what I'm saying."
He gently kissed me before apologizing for losing his temper, "This whole business is getting us down."
The morning dragged on with no phone call. Our bank manager complete with escort arrived with the money which was in brown paper carrier bags. We had them put into the office safe and waited. Shirley and Beth came back in they had been down to the church to pray and told us the church was packed and had been all night. The boys' headmaster called on the other line asking for news but we couldn't tell them anything. I had an idea and asked him to hang on for a minute. I went to speak to the detective handling the investigation and after passing on my idea he agreed.
I put him on to the headmaster, "Good morning headmaster, with your permission I would like to send a couple of detectives down to talk to your pupils just to see if they recall any people they aren't familiar with who have been hanging around the school for the past few days."
The headmaster agreed and straight away a team was sent down to the school.
It was just on lunchtime when the phone rang again. I waited until I was given the signal, then I picked up the receiver.
"Listen fagot, do you have the money?"
"Yes, it's all ready just tell us where and when so we can our two dear sons back."
"Your two sons? There just a couple of homo prostitutes you picked up in a fucking brothel in Spain."
Robert grabbed my arm, trying to calm me down because he could see I was losing it.
"Those boys were forced into that trade and we brought them out made them our adopted sons and how dare you fucking call them names, What about you, you fucking useless piece of shit how dare you make demands like you are you worthless mother fucker. I tell you what you heap of dog shit what if you and I no one else meet and I'll fight you, the winner gets the boys and the money. I bet you're too scared to take me on without help from a gang or something. I bet you're a weak kneed useless bastard, a bit like my no good brothers wallowing in prison right now who wouldn't dare take on a little girl unless they were all in it."
I paused for a breath and then realized that he had hung up somewhere in the middle of that tirade. The detective came over to me and I said, "I'm sorry I lost it, he pushed the wrong button. I bet I've stuffed it up now and we'll never see those boys again.
"No that, alright they'll get back to you soon although I think Robert had better answer this time, but what's the story with the brothers you mentioned?"
I explained how my three brothers and my father were currently in jail and hopefully would remain there for some time to come. I went on to tell him how they treated me when I was at school and even as a young kid. How they made me beat up on other kids or I got flogged and fucked by them.
"Are you sure they are still in jail?"
"I should think so they were in jail in Scotland because they sabotaged several of our work sites."
He turned to another police officer telling him to get all my family's details and check them out.
"Surely you don't think my brothers and possibly my father had something to do with this."
"It's worth checking out. We need to cover everything."
He asked me what my old address was and I told him explaining that as far as I knew it's a derelict house which is how my family left it a couple of years ago.
He nodded talking into his two way and sending a team to my old house.
A couple of hours after the last call the phone rang. Robert answered and I heard over the speakers,
"So the last fucking homo we spoke to has been taken off the case he? You just tell him another outburst like that and he'll never see his two bum boys ever again, understood?"
Robert replied, "Yes he understands that and we're sorry if we upset you. Can we talk to both of the boys again please to make sure they are ok?"
"Well you're the toffee nosed puffter aren't you, all ladi dar."
The phone went quite for a while and I took the opportunity to write down 'he said we' and handed it to the detective who nodded in agreement.
"Hello dads, can you please come and get us?"
"Of course Serge where are you?" Robert yelled down the phone,
"As if we'd let him fucking tell you that, anyway he doesn't know."
'What about our other boy, what about Miguel?"
"He's having trouble walking and urgently needs some painkillers so listen and listen good."
There was some noise in the background as if someone else was talking.
"Been on the line too long we'll be in touch." And the phone went dead.
The police technician indicated that the call this time came from a different set of telephone exchanges but were still close by.
"It looks like they're on the move."
Just then our head detective came back in, "Your three brothers are out on parole but should have reported to their parole officer two days ago in Glasgow but haven't."
"That's who I saw dodging behind the pole at the hospital my younger brother but I put it out of my mind thinking it couldn't be him he's in jail."
"We're waiting for the car we went to your old home to call in."
About thirty minutes later he came in with the news, "Your boys had been held at your old house but by the looks of it we missed them by not very long. We have a house to house of your old neighbours going on to see if anyone noticed anything."
"At least now we know who's got them." Robert remarked.
"When they call again boys, please don't let on that you know who they are. That might cause them to panic and do something stupid."
We agreed and sat around waiting for the next call to come in. It was early evening just on dark when the phone rang again. This time I answered it again.
"Oh we've got you back again have and what foul mouthed words are you going to use this time because if you talk to me like that again you'll never see your Spanish bum boys again, I've just been admiring them they have cute tight bubble butts. I might even try them out myself."
I was ready to explode being almost certain now that I was talking to my oldest brother. Robert was rubbing my back to calm me down while the head detective held up a piece of paper saying 'keep calm they're trying to rile you make you something you shouldn't'
I nodded taking a deep breath before opening my mouth, "When do we get them back?" I calmly asked. "Listen to my instructions and do exactly as I say. You and your homo boyfriend are to bring the money to the phone box outside the Lygon hotel at eleven pm and leave it the waste bin next to it then wait for a phone call."
Click, and the phone went dead. Just then the phone rang again. I picked it up and before I could speak the same voice continued, "I forgot to tell you any police within a mile of the place and the deals off, understood?"
"yes." I answered and again the phone went dead. Once more the detective spoke, "We still haven't been able to pin them to an exact location but they are not far from here and haven't moved since they called last time, at least we don't think they have. Michael and Robert can we see you somewhere private please?"
Along with several other officers, they followed us to our office. Once we were all in, he shut the door.
"Now that we know the drop off point and the time I want to run a few things past you."
Both Robert and I nodded worried at what might be coming next.
"We've been checking out your family's history and discovered that ever since you two got together they have been making death threats against the both of you. We both nodded.
"Bearing that in mind, we are thinking that the money is a sideline. What they really want is you two. What suggest is that we dress two police officers who look like you two in your clothes and let them do the drop, because I'm certain they intend to do you harm."
This statement shocked us both into a stunned silence, until after a couple of minutes I spoke up, "Do you really think that is it?"
"Yes I do, they want your blood and will stop at nothing to get it, look at all the things they have done in the past to you. Take the Scottish jobs for example even when they were arrested they tried to break free to do you harm. If they get to you then the boys will get the same fate of that I'm certain."
Once again we thought for a while then Robert spoke up, "What about the two who replace us what will happen to them, if they die I would never be able to look at myself in a mirror again."
"They are professional police officers who will be doing their job."
I looked at Robert with a questioning look and he nodded, "No we'll go and do the drop and take our chances, after all you could be wrong and all they want is the money so they can get out of the country."
"I strongly recommend that you reconsider doing this boys, but if you insist you will be wearing bullet proof vests, plus I will have a couple of armed officers lying down in the back of the car along with surveillance all around the drop site. As far as we know there are only three of them so they won't be able to fully check out the area. It's more than likely only two will go on the drop with the third watching over the boys."
He continued to brief us some more on what to do and not to do, before calling experts to put the vests on and also wire us for sound so they could all listen in.
Meanwhile Steve was getting the car ready downstairs, when I suddenly had a thought, "Do you realise Robert that neither of us have driven a car before or have a licence."
"That's true, it's something we've never bothered about, should we tell the detective?"
"No, because then he will put someone in our place, we'll just have to pretend that we can drive."
"I wonder if Steve or Natalie will be able to give us a crash course before we go?"
"I doubt it the place is crawling with police and I don't think we have time."
Ferdy and David came looking for us, "Please dads be careful, we'll pray for you and our two brothers that you will all come back safe and sound."
We hugged the boys telling them not to worry, "We're sure everything will turn out alright and before you know it we'll all be together again and on our way to Disneyworld."
With kisses and hugs all round Betty came to take the boys suggesting that they go to bed and wait for the good news.
We headed downstairs to meet the two police officers who would be hiding in the car as we went to drop the money. Steve called us to one side, whispering, "Neither of you know how to drive do you?"
We nodded and he said, "How do you think you'll go?"
Once again, we shrugged our shoulders and nodded.
"I thought as much which is why I got Natalie to bring out an automatic for you that way you have one less peddle to worry about." We thanked him quietly as he explained were the lights and wipers were. One of our police escorts noticed this and asked, "Do you two know how to drive and do you have licences?"
We looked dumb and Steve came to the rescue, "of course they do but they've never driven this car before and don't know where all the switches and that are."
That appeared to satisfy them but I thought to myself just wait till we try and drive the thing, I was sure we were going to have an accident long before we got there.
We left the garage at a reasonably slow pace and once we got on to the road proper, I went a bit faster until I reached the speed limit which I remained just below thinking to myself I don't want to get picked up by the cops. Then even under the stress we were in I laughed inwardly to myself thinking you stupid fucking idiot you're working with the police.
There was thankfully no traffic on the road and we arrived outside the hotel about three minutes early. Robert got out and put the bags of money in the trash can. He was about to get back into the car and wait when the phone rang in the public box rang. He ran to answer it, "Hello?"
"Well done you both did very well; now take the money out of the trash and go back home to wait for our call."
"Wait, what's the big idea?"
"That was just a trial, run now do as your fucking told and be quick about it." The phone went dead and Robert did as he was told. I started the car and we headed back towards home.
By now I was getting the hang of the driving and we were soon driving into the underground garage. Back upstairs we both had a stiff shot of brandy to steady our nerves.
"That happens with kidnappers quite often." Our chief detective told us now we wait for the next call.
We didn't dare go to bed but just dozed in a chair cuddling each other for support this whole episode was beginning to take its toll on the both of us and neither were sure how much more we could take.
It was eight am when the next call came, and I rushed to the phone waited for the signal from the police technician before picking up the receiver. "Hello?" I timidly said into the mouthpiece.
"Hope you slept well because your little homo boys didn't, they're getting hungry and want to go home."
"Well why didn't you let them come home last night? You had the money."
"What and be arrested the minute we tried to pick it up. The place was crawling with filthy cops right after we told you no cops. We'll have to make you pay for not doing as your told so the price has doubled we now want four million and you have four hours to get it or we start getting nasty with your fucking homo brats."
The phone went dead and Robert I collapsed into each other's arms sobbing unable to control ourselves. We were both shaking like leaves about to drop off a tree. Several of the guys came to take us into our bedroom putting us to bed and pulling the covers over us. We kept protesting that we had to be up in case the phone rang but we were almost forcibly held down. The doctor arrived and gave us both a sedative and we dozed off and on for about three hours. Every time I opened my eyes there was someone watching over us, one of our dear friends or employees. After three hours, we got up and had a shower soaping and washing each other but no fooling around.
Paul our accountant meanwhile had been busy organizing the extra two million pounds. This time they didn't have time to check all the banknote serial numbers but that didn't really matter anymore because we knew who had the boys.
Exactly four hours after the last call, the phone rang. After the usual wait while everyone was in position, I picked up the receiver, "Hello."
"Hello poofter, do you have the money?"
"Yes four million and I tell you now that's as far as we can go we're close to being broke anyway."
"Good that's what the three of us want?"
Everybody's head shot up when he gave us that vital piece of information.
"This time you will leave right away without any police and go on the road through Malvern towards the Welsh border. Five miles from Great Malvern, you will see a phone box pull up there and wait for further instructions. Oh I forgot to tell you if you are longer than 20 minutes you'll miss the call."
The phone went dead and everyone began rushing around, putting flak jackets on us wiring us up for sound and then rushing us down to the garage. Natalie was waiting in the car, "What are doing here Natalie he said only us and no one else?"
"When we get to the phone box and they call you tell them you aren't experienced enough drivers to get there within the time limit and that I'm your regular driver not a cop."
Neither of us were too happy about this but we had no say in it.
Driving over the speed limit all the way Natalie got us there with about a minute to spare.
As we got out of the car the phone rang, "Who's the bitch driving? We said no cops."
"She's not a cop but our regular driver, we would never have made it in time because neither of us are experienced drivers."
"That'd be right you'd be too busy playing with each other's dicks."
"Are the boys all right can we talk to them?"
He laughed saying, "There not here right now, but I'll tell them you called. Now listen up good. Go back the way you came to Malvern Hills and at the kiosk near the top wait by the phone box, you have fifteen minutes so off you go and no fucking around in the backseat because, I CAN SEE YOU."
We ran back to the car giving Natalie the instructions and she raced off with tyres burning.
I got on the car two way passing onto Steve all that happened especially the fact that he could see us. Because of the distance we travelled, they couldn't listen in to the conversation through our hidden microphones.
We arrived at our next stop with about three minutes to spare and someone was using the phone and looked as if they were settled in for a long conversation. We called the office in panic mode, but the detective told Natalie to gently persuade the person on the phone to hang up, "tell them it's a matter of life and death show them your security credentials. If that doesn't work, tell them to fuck off."
Natalie went to the phone box speaking with the lady who protested at first but apparently, Natalie told her who we were. Everyone in the town knew about the kidnapping so she immediately hung up wishing us both good luck as she walked away.
I picked up the phone on the first ring.
"Did you enjoy your little trip around the countryside? Well I think we are one step ahead of the cops so what I suggest you do right now is go down to the church at Malvern Hills, you know the one which your puffy actor bum buddy used to sing in between fucking his lovely Derek and you two. Around the back there's a garden shed where the grave diggers leave their tools. It's unlocked so leave the money there and go back home. Once we've picked it up and counted it we'll call you and tell you were your two bratty poofter kids are." The phone went dead but rang again right away, "Oh and if the police catch us before the phone call you'll never find out where we've stashed the kids."
We drove down to the churchyard, which was only just down the road, leaving Natalie in the car we headed through the big wooden gates past the gravestones towards the shed.
"I've got that feeling again that I'm being watched." I said, not only to Robert but also over our microphones so everyone back at the office could hear.
Just as he said, the door was unlocked and we slowly opened it peering inside finding it hard to make anything out because of the glare outside. Inwardly I began saying the 'Our father' the only prayer I really knew. We had two brown shopping bags with two million pounds in each one. Once we became accustomed to the light, we noticed a stack of tools and wheelbarrows standing up against the walls. There was a space right in the middle of the shed and on the floor was a note. I picked it up to read it, Place money here HA, HA, HA.
"The fucking pricks." I muttered as we dropped the money and backed out of the shed.
Robert had pocketed the note in the hopes that it might come in handy as a clue.
We drove back to the office wondering, if we would ever see the two boys and would they be alive.
In the back of the car, I cuddled up to Robert saying, "Darling I don't think I can take much more of this." He kissed me gently on the lips before saying, "We have to stay strong and focussed for the sake of the kids not only the two we don't have right now but for the others as well."
I gently kissed him back agreeing with him, it was then I noticed in the rear view mirror that tears were rolling down Natalie's cheeks as well. All of us had reached breaking point and we had no idea when it would end. Back at the office the police were trying hard to track down were the calls had come from but with no luck. We just had to wait until the phone call came in.
I approached the chief detective asking to speak to him and we went down to our office.
"Something I should have mentioned a while back. Is my father still in jail or is he involved with this as well?"
"We've been checking up on your father who as you know is in a prison down here in England, and we found that he has been getting a lot of phone calls from his sons. We applied for a phone tap but had trouble getting approval because they are frowned upon and technically are illegal, we finally have permission and its being set up as we speak."
"Do you think he is running things from in jail?"
"It looks like he might be, hopefully if we listen in maybe we could get some idea of where the boys are."
We left it at that joining the rest of the team in the dining room that looked like the nerve centre of a war room.
I was racking my brains trying to figure out where they would take the boys, I was sure there was something in my past which would be a clue. Then it hit me. I called out for everyone to be quite and the chief detective came up to me wanting to know what was wrong.
"I think I know where they might be, my oldest brother worked as a janitor at my old school. He wasn't there for long because he got the sack for stealing. Anyway he used to brag to the others that downstairs in the boiler room, there were a lot of nooks and crannies were you could hide out for days on end. No one would know you were there, plus if you climbed up the chute the coal came down into the room you wouldn't be seen going in and out. I reckon that's where they went after they left our old house."
"Are sure about this?"
"Yes when Derek and Cliff were being threatened by Cliff and my father that's how the police got them out of school safely."
Straight away the police boss man was on the phone arranging for the school to be raided. No pupils would be at risk because it was the Christmas school holidays. Once everything was more or less arranged, half of the police in the building left and we had the long agonizing wait for news. Finally we couldn't stand it any longer and I asked Steve to take us down there. At first he refused but finally agreed but if things were a bit hairy down there he turn round and come straight back. The boys too wanted to come along but we told them it was too dangerous.
Steve called ahead to tell them we were coming and he was told they were just about to raid the place, they told him that my guess work was spot on because the janitor had been found bashed, bound and gagged at the entrance to the downstairs cellar were the boiler room was. As we moved down the long avenue leading to the school it was an amazing site seeing so many police cars with lights flashing. A command post had been set up just outside the school gates and it was there that we met up with our chief detective. He had a plan of the school and I was able to show him the spots they are most likely to be hiding and also were their escape route came out round the back of the school. The whole school was surrounded, "Have they ever used any weapons like guns?" The detective asked me and I shook my head saying, "No but you can bet your life there've all got knives. Another thing bothering me detective is that I have four brothers yet only three have been mentioned on the phone."
"Yes we've been wondering about that as well. He was paroled the same time as the others but no one's seen him."
The signal was given to move in and a half dozen policemen went racing down the steps towards the boiler room. We couldn't see or hear much except what was coming through the radio. This was followed by a scuffle at the coal chute round the back and the cry went out we've got them. Robert and I began crying and hugging each other but our joy was short lived when we were told the boys weren't there.
I raced out past everybody running up to my brothers who were being led towards a police car, "What have you fucking bastards done to those boys, where are they?"
I tried to reach out and lay into them but two policemen held me back and my brothers started laughing, "Our fagot brother is missing his bum boys, oh dear he'll have to go back to wanking himself stupid like he used to."
I struggled even more but I couldn't get away from the two burly guys holding me. Robert came rushing up to pacify me telling me to let the police do their job, but I kept screaming and yelling for Serge and Miguel as I was led away back to the command post. It was there that both of us collapsed into a heap shaking and crying totally losing it.
"Will we ever see our sons again?" I wailed as a doctor gave me a shot of something.
To Be Continued ?.
Oh dear, still no sign of the boys. I certainly hope they are still alive. My next chapter will be The Adventures of Cliff & Derek with Cliff's father back on the scene.
Please let us know how we are doing and try and make sure you don't miss any of JPG"s chapters or mine because so much keeps happening.
