Ten - We reap what we sow
Nicola aroused his sleeping man with a kiss. With an ear-to-ear grin Gilberto opened his eyes.
ÒCome to the kitchen, my love, I made breakfast...Ó said the boy.
Ò I wasn't aware you got out of bed. Have you been up for long?"
Ò Awhile...I studied for about one hour before I fixed our food . Are you coming?Ó
Ò When will you be back from the university?Ó
Ò It depends on my position on the exam list. Anyway, I am near the top, so I should be tested before lunch time... At least, I hope so.Ó
Ò Please call me as soon as you know! Ò
Ò Only if I receive a good mark...Ó the smiling youth quipped.
ÒAs always happens! Tonight, we shall celebrate by dining out .Ó
Ò Where?Ó
Ò It' s a surprise... you will see.Ó
After eating, they dressed then said their goodbyes . The banker went to work, while the student drove to campus . At one o'clock, he excitedly phoned, exclaiming,
ÒGil, I excelled! Ó
Ò Your grade?Ó
Ò A perfect one hundred percent, and honours! Ò
Ò And you doubted it would go well!Ó
Ò In addition, I lucked out. They asked questions I knew best ...Ó
Ò Are you on your way, now?Ó
"After m y mates and I have some drinks. However, I should arrive prior to you .Ó
Ò I count on it. Because, before taking you out, we need to celebrate in another way.Ó
Ò How?Ó Nicola asked, knowing full well what his buddy meant.
ÒIn a manner, I am sure, pleasing to you !Ó the giggling Gilberto retorted.
ÒI bet you'll offer me a cream filled doughnut! Ò Nicola said.
"You're partially correct!"
They continued sparing good naturally for several more minutes until they hung up.
Getting home, Gilberto found his waiting seated partner immersed in a book while he listened to music.
Ò Hi, Love!Ó Nicola greeted him.
Ò Finally here! I need a shower...Ó
Ò Me too...Ó the younger added, setting down his novel to embrace his significant other.
Kissing, they retired to their bedroom where both undressed, before proceeding naked to their bathroom .
Under the guise of cleansing and drying their partner, the two sensually touched, caressed, fondled, lip locked. With the inevitable result of each becoming aroused and filled with lust. The couple ended up in bed, their limbs intertwined and cocks at full mast.
ÒGil?Ó
Ò Yes, Babes ?Ó
Ò Will you ever get tired of me?Ó
Ò Of course! The day after I die !Ó
A gain kissing, Nicola offered himself to his man who took him with his usual combination of vigour and tenderness. While Gilberto fucked him, they continued to tongue and fondle, culminating in a crescendo of wonderful sensations.
The man drowned in the gaze of his boy's pure bright eyes. Both smiled happily to each other, savouring the waves of growing exultation which made their very essence vibrate, tense in giving and receiving pleasure. They went on expressing their feelings, using their bodies, in an unceasing desire to meld into one, to merge their two separate entities in the same manner their hearts and souls were unified.
Finally, they reached the peak of gratification in an orgasm which was, on the one hand, very sweet, yet on the other, strong, enjoying simultaneously the intensity of their accompanying the explosions.
Relaxing, they remained tightly embraced while they whispered sweet nothings to each other.
Later, they dressed. Then, Gilberto drove t o a famous restaurant, so they could properly celebrate the success of the student's last test.
The duo finished ordering their meal, as Carlo entered the eatery with Marilena, Silvia's sister. Recognising Gilberto, the pair approached the lovers' table. The banker introduced the new arrivals to his buddy, inviting the two to share with them an appetiser .
The lady said,Ó Gilberto... you are very kind asking us to sit at your table, after the miserable way my sister acted ...Ó
Ò Ah, you heard? Ò Gilberto asked, slightly surprised.
Ò Yes... It delights us to bump into you, because we wanted to apologize for the vixen 's behavior... You see, we hadn't a clue... we didn't know a thing, until last summer. Carlo and I decided to spend our vacation in Belgium with my brother Angelo ...Ó
Ò Ah, Angelo ... How is he?Ó Gilberto interrupted.
Ò Better, now. In short, leaving proved to be the proper move... He overcame what Silvia put him through ... Angelo told us everything... My sister had no right to come between you, to harm either. Finally, he conquered his fears, even better, he has a steady local live-in boyfriend, there in Belgium. Thanks to the fellow Angelo recovered his equilibrium and peace of mind...Ó
Ò I'm happy for him...Ó Gilberto murmured.
Ò Coming back home, infuriated by Silvia, we confronted her... It's unbelievable how she could be such a bitch , my sibling... Quarrelling, she spewed all her venom, saying, she exacted revenge after you spurned her... As a result, Carlo and I broke with her forever. Our action can't repay you for all the ill she inflicted on you, however we w ant no further dealings with he r...Ó
Ò She tried to harm me, it's true, but she failed... It's my opinion, the woman won't be able to instigate anything else! Ò Gilberto quietly said.
Ò That pleases me , Gilberto. We tried informing you, however, as your old telephone number no longer worked, there was no way to contact you ...Ó
Ò In fact, Nicola and I moved to Novara.Ó
Ò Anyway, it pleases us we bumped into you this evening. Both of us wish you all the best. We booked a table with some friends, so... may the two of you enjoy your good evening. Ò Marilena stated .
They arose, shook hands and separated.
Again alone at their table, Nicola whispered, ÓGood, I'm glad the shrew got what she deserved.Ó
Ò I don't care! The person who is not able to love, cannot experience a good life, he makes his hell with his own hands. It delights me Angelo recovered .Ó
Ò Would you like to meet him again?Ó
Ò No, after I met you he became a mere chapter in my past story... You, on the other hand, are my perfect wonderful present, as well as my eternal future.Ó
A year passed in their new location, in Novara, during which they settled down nicely. Nicola approached matriculation. The relationship with his family, although not back to normal, thawed slightly. In fact, the two sides occasionally called one an other.
As Christmas and New Years appeared on the horizon, the Savings Bank organized its annual holiday luncheon for all the managers. Gilberto preferred not to partake, however since it was a tradition he felt compelled to attend.
After the meal, the president beckoned to him. Lighting a cigarillo, he led his employee to a small conference room.
Ò Dr Ferri, I wish to exchange a few words with you...Ó
Ò Yes, Sir, please go on ...Ó
Ò First of all... a s you know, our counsellor Dr Rachele Chiesa decided to retire for age and health considerations. I need to name her replacement. Before I announce my selection, I want to offer you the position...Ó
Ò Me? I'm honoured, believe me... pleased, flattered you thought of me. Nevertheless... there are colleagues with greater seniority... Ò
Ò Years of service is not everything. I consider you the most suited person amongst our branch heads to assume this charge. However, to name you, I must know your intentions ...Ó
Ò Since you consider me fit for this task... I need to trust your judgment. Further, I thank you for the trust, and regard, you have in me...Ó
Ò You earned them both! Fine, let's move onto the second subject. You may be aware of my dear nephew, Davide, on whom I lavished all my affection and hope, after the tragic death of my beloved brother, ten years ago... The young man successfully started a tailoring firm, working for Italian and French high fashion establishments.
Ò Well, a few month ago he became engaged... last week, he introduced his fiancŽe, Silvia Taccone, which you, too, know very well. The young lady is both beautiful and elegant.... I racked my brain to recall where I heard the name. Suddenly, I remembered you told me about her. I begged my leave for a moment. Going to my study, where I keep all my business and personal papers, I found the notes of our conversation and, also, the anonymous letter she sent at the time."
The speaker paused for a moment before continuing,
ÒReturning, I invited the woman to partake in a little parlour game, which consisted of my dictating a text to her. I convinced her I could guess some of her characteristics from her script... She swallowed my bait! Therefore, I started to read her note... Stopping after a few lines she turned pale.
Ò Next, I took her writing, which I compared with the original. The two, as I suspected , matched. To make a long story short , I told my nephew what a wicked, greedy, mean person she was. I urged him to break, at once, his betrothal , adding I refused to continue h elping him economically if he married such a bald faced fortune climber!
Ò My nephew always trusted my judgment, possibly even more than his own father, therefore he followed my advice. We, kindly but firmly, showed the gold digger t he door. That's all. I wanted to tell you, concerning this incident. I conclude, he who sows the seeds reaps the harvest, my dear fellow! Ò
Gilberto, back home with Nicola , told him a bout this second humiliation Silvia got rewarded for her actions.
The student merrily quipped, ÓVery well, I'm overjoyed Silvia once again received her due! Ò
Ò The president commented saying that hew ho sows the seeds reaps the harvest... while not always evident it happens that way , nevertheless this time it did .Ó
Next, Gilbert told Nicola also the news about his promotion.
Ò When will you begin?Ó the youth inquired, electrified.
Ò I think after the first, perhaps mid-January... Does it excite you to be the lover of a bigwig?Ó Gilberto grinningly asked him in a soft-spoken ironic tone.
ÒNo! You already are the most important to me, nothing could make you more so. It wouldn't change even if you were a shoeblack or a beggar. However, it gratifies me when others acknowledge your worth!Ò
Ò With this promotion to counsellor my monthly wage sky rocks , we can afford an even nicer apartment...Ó
Ò What ever pleases you is fine with me. However, I feel no need for it. You know as long we stay together I remain satisfied ...Ó
Ò The only thing I miss in this home is a guest-room. You understand, for instance, if I want to invite CŽline... Ò
Ò Yes, I too wish for her to visit ... Good, let's look for a more spacious apartment.Ò
Ò Also , Nicola, I want to bring up one other subject. In July of next year you graduate. Have you thought of what comes next ?Ó
Ò Not really, yet, the most logical course is to teach high school literature...Ó
Ò Do you feel drawnto that profession ?Ó
Ò Not particularly, on the other hand, I'm not against it, either .Ó
Ò However, what was your dream growing up?Ó Gilberto asked him with a smile.
"Well, at times, I've imagined starting a publishing house to print prevalently gay texts, based on fiction or real life and put out a monthly or quarterly periodical, covering the same topics... It must arouse the interest of others beyond gay community , do you follow? I want it to appeal to emerging writers, make translations from classic or modern foreign literature... as well as for popular commercial works... Books belonging in any library, pleasant to thumb through, read or consult...Ó the animated youth replied with growing enthusiasm.
Ò Very good! For such a project you should gather a staff of knowledgeable people, after which we could start. You know the seed money is not a problem! I, too, wish you to establish something such as that. Why not seriously consider it, create a detail blueprint! Ò
Ò But, you... will you help me? Not only financially speaking, I mean.Ó
Ò Of course! Even though I might have my work to carry on, here at home, we shall talk about it. I intend giving you all my support via advice and ideas, to the best of my abilities. So, then, Nicola, what do you think of the idea?Ó
Ò It would be wonderful...Ó
Ò It will , my love! Ò
Ò And, let's call it 'The Ten Percent ', how does the title strike you ?Ó
Ò A nice name. Where did you get it?Ó
Ò Well, they say we gays constitute that quantity of the total population, therefore...Ó
Ò Okay! We shall start to work on it, Baby, the idea excites me ...Ó
