Disclaimer: I do not know the following: 1. Backstreet Boys 2. Lou Pearlman 3. N Sync And I don't know if they're gay. If you are not permitted here, try not to get caught or else get outta here! And if you do not like homosexual fiction, are you lost or stupid?
Author's Note: This is an Alternate Universe story. Backstreet doesn't exist. N Sync doesn't exist. And Nick's family is small. More explanation when the time is right.

Medieval Love Part Un
Long ago, far away, somewhere in England, lived an elegant Kingdom called Naroa. A quaint king and queen ruled this land and the subjects were loyal. Everything was beautiful and prosperous. King Robert and Queen Janis had a son, Nickolas.
Nickolas was quite handsome. All the servant girls tried to flirt with him but he would smile and scold them to do their work. His radiant, blue eyes; sometimes gray like a storm; were much loved by the girls. His shining, golden hair with a hint of brown made them swoon. His smile, his laugh, just about everything was wonderful.
It seemed like the entire female section of the staff was in love with him. That is...everyone except Nickolas' best friend: Lonnie. Lonnie had been a faerie wandering in Nickolas' garden after an exhausting battle with the woodsmen. They had tried to cut away her forest to look for a unicorn and wouldn't take her word that none lived there. Nickolas found her frail form in his garden when he was about 8 and took her in. He ordered the men to stop their hurtful hunt.
She thanked him gratefully and vowed to be his servant as a thank you. He confided in her ever since. Where ever Nickolas was, Lonnie was sure to be near. He even trusted her with his deepest secret: That he preferred men rather than women. She was, at first, shocked. But it sank in and she was as faithful as ever.
"Nickolas." Queen Janice called to him one day.
"Yes, mother? What is it?" he asked as his mother entered his chamber.
"It is time that you should seek a wife."
Nickolas bowed his head. "I'd rather a husband."
"My dearest, why didn't you tell me?" she asked, not at all shocked.
"I didn't want to frighten you, mother." He smiled. "Do you know any suitors that would rather a male bride?
"Well, let's see. There ARE suitors that are male. For instance Sir Justin of Timberlake. He seems like a fine young man." Queen Janice stood up. "Yes, he's perfect. I'll send a messenger right now." She got up and left the room.
"But--Thank you, mother." He sighed and sat down. Lonnie walked in, in her simple maid's dress, setting sheets into drawers. She looked up and stared at him with storm-grey orbs.
"Something troubling you, Master Nickolas?" she asked.
"Mother is trying to marry me off to Justin of Timberlake. I believe he has an obsession with me. Every time I see him, he tries to persuade me to spend time with him." Nickolas groaned and fell onto his bed. "What do you know about him? What do the servants say about him?"
"Well..." She knelt down on the floor before him and put a finger to the side of her chin; her eyes thoughtful. "He's like you. Blonde and blue eyed. I don't know much about him."
"Thank you, Lonnie."
"That isn't all, is it, Master Nickolas?" she asked, seeming to always sense anything wrong with him. "Tell me. What troubles you, my prince?"
"I...I do not know anyone else that are like me." Nickolas sighed and looked out the window.
"Hmm...I might know such a person. Of royal birth, too."
"Who?" he asked; his curiosity piqued.
"I know a family. More out in the country, though. A well retired Knight and Lady with two sons. Prince Harold Jr. and Prince Brian. Sir Harold and Lady Jacquelyn had already married off Prince Harold Jr." she reported.
"Tell me about Prince Brian." Nickolas asked.
"But, Master Nickolas, it's supper time. You're needed downstairs." She smiled as he glared at her and walked out of the room. "Have a good time with Sir Justin!" she called after him.
~At the Great Hall~ Nickolas made his grand entrance. The usual court smiled and bowed in his presence. His mother and father sat at the center of the table. A large spread of food stretched across the table. Sir Justin stood from his seat and waltzed over to Nickolas.
"Nickolas, I assume you know of Sir Justin?" asked his father. Sir Justin grabbed his hand and led him over to his seat. Nickolas sat with dignity.
"Look at this wondrous spread of exotic foods. Pineapples, kiwis, dates." He held up a plate of dates. "Would you care for a date, your majesty?" he asked.
"Why, thank you." he reached for a date.
"How about tomorrow at sunset?" asked Justin as he pulled the plate away.
Nickolas turned his head.
"Look, Nickolas, here come the performers and dancers." Justin offered. They watched as performers from everywhere flooded into the Great Hall; dancing and performing magic.
"And now, we present...Avalon, the dancer of the faeries!" they announced as Lonnie made a grand entrance in a swirl of smoke and scarves. She danced with so much grace that a high-ranked lady would be jealous. She danced to the music provided by the minstrel. Her celestial colored scarves swirled around her like an ambiance. The spectators watched with awe. She winked at Nickolas before throwing down her tambourine and disappearing in a cloud of blue smoke.
Throughout the night, Sir Justin constantly bothered Nickolas. But despite the young man's attempts, the prince ignored him. It seemed like hours before diner was over. Nickolas retired to his chamber where Lonnie was reading by candlelight.
"That was such a lovely dance you did tonight." Nickolas complemented. She lifted her head and smiled at him.
"You really think?"
"Now tell me about Prince Brian as I go to sleep." He climbed into bed as Lonnie turned around.
"Prince Brian is so handsome. Reddish blonde hair and shining blue eyes. He is quite the sportsman but a fair sportsman. He would never hurt an animal. I should know since I got caught in one of his hunting traps. I feared that it was my end but his kind and smiling face came and released me. He kept me as a pet for a while, thinking I was a firefly. One night, his heart ailed him." Lonnie explained.
"What happened?" he asked.
"I healed him and he was grateful as was his family. He said that he would grant me any three wishes that I want. I asked if he was a genie instead of a prince." Lonnie chuckled.
"A genie?"
"A magical being that grants only 3 wishes. I wished for his everlasting friendship; which he granted with a smile. And I wished for my freedom; which he did with a heavy heart."
"But that's only two." Nickolas murmured sleepily.
"I have yet to decide my last wish." Lonnie moved to the foot of the bed and rested her arms and head on the bed. "Goodnight, Master Nickolas."
"Goodnight, Lonnie."
