She owned the place, and she knew it. Striding past the so-called peers that were only called her "peers" by the fact that they were around the same aged, since that was the only thing anyone around had in common with her. Glancing around with her head held up high in a manner of ownership over the subordinates around her, the 17 year old 5' 4" california blonde with piercing blue eyes teen, other wise known as Mitchell Eden, the varsity cheerleading captain, pranced around with her best friend Taylor Newport, the redhead varsity cheerleading squad "co-captain" which was just another fancy name for a cheerleader that happened the be best friends with Mitchell.
As both of the popular Jefferson High School girls headed towards the football field, without a look of acknowledgment to the starring glances and double looks from the rest of the students, Jennifer only stared in absolute AWE at Mitchell. Not because of her high popularity statues in the small towns high school, but rather in a longing, heart pounding faster in the chest because I've had a crush on you since the first time I laid eyes on you look. Mesmerized by the way Mitchell looked and how smooth and perfectly her tanned legs strode up towards the firm round butt that one can only have by physical sports, in Mitchell's case being a cheerleader. Oh yea, the small town girl from Pierce County, Tennessee had it bad for the popular blonde who moved from Cali not too long ago, two years 4 months and 18 days to be exact, well at-least from Jennifer's calculations.
Aaron, noticing the look that suddenly appeared oh his best friends face knew it could only mean one thing. Mitchell. Shaking his head from side to side thinking 'out of everyone, Jennifer, including ME, you chose her'. Starring with his dark brown eyes with somewhat sympathy in them at Jennifer, Aaron speaks up. " You know, maybe it's not meant to be......" dipping one of his french fries into the ketchup puddle on his tray, then chewing it up. Aaron moves his body slowly sideways to get a better look at the cheerleader that controlled Jennifer's mind, with a hint of jealous in his voice, he continues talking "Not to sound like the brick in the road but she looks EXTREMELY straight."
Aaron is Jennifer's best friend. The only person other than herself who knows her secret, which is. She's gay. In a small town such as Pierce County both Jennifer and Aaron knew it was extremely taboo to be homosexual. As the small minded citizens that lived there would outcast anyone who was publicly gay. Knowing this secret of Jennifer since the 7th grade, Aaron promised her he would never tell anyone. With that, as their friendship continued throughout the years, Aaron started to have feelings for his best friend. Not that Jennifer was ugly, in fact she was the opposite. As he grew up in a small town he based things by stereotypes as everyone else did. But Jennifer didn't fit any of the Lesbian ones. She was perfect, in his eyes. She wasn't like any of the other girls in Jefferson High, being as strikingly beautiful as she was, she didn't hold it over others who weren't. She had long black hair that reach just barely past her nipples, with amazing emerald green eyes, that every time they looked at you with intense, sent a shock wave through your body. She wasn't short either, she stood up at around 5 feet 10 inches, counting from his own height Aaron guess because she was about 3 inches shorter from his 6' 1" frame. The only part was Jennifer wasn't girly, nor did she wear any revealing clothes that would expose her firm toned body. But she didn't need to, she has what people call "Natural Beauty". Which was enhanced even more by her gorgeous white smile, with those two dimples that hugged each cheek when she smiled. Yea Jennifer was quite a site, but still managed to remain unpopular, yet not to the bottom of the social ladder at Jefferson.
Turning to Aaron, mainly because the blonde cheerleader was out of site, Jennifer smiled at her friend "Yea one can dream though, right? Plus I'm telling you, last week I can swear it after bumping into her I'm sure there was a connecting, and she felt it too" Reminiscing about the events that recently occurred, with a wishful smile on her face, she hoped that she was right.
"Whateverrrr you say Jen... Hey so Kyle's party is tonight, still going? Don't make up an excuse, cause you know I can tell when you lie 10 miles away. I have psychic powers" Aaron laughed at his own statement remembering times that Jennifer tried to lie to him about how she's busy and can't go out. Which always gave it away when she got a little pitch at the end and sounded nervous as hell.
"Oh yea, right I forgot. Pick me up at 6, yea?" Jennifer blushed remembering the reason why she even agreed to go to that party.
"YEA! and I'll have a surprise for you awaitin'" Not being trilled by what the surprise might be, since she saw the mischievous smile in his handsome face. Jennifer knew that Aaron liked her in THAT way, but didn't let the young basketball player know she knew.
At both teens stood up to throw their trash, they heard the bell ring, reminding them it was time to head for their next class. Parting ways to each of their classrooms, Aaron said his typical "Catch ya' later Jen" before leaving. Heading down the school halls to Mr. Wrigley's history class she felt the urge to use the bathroom. Picking up her pace, Jennifer hurried with only that goal on her mind. As she walked, without any thought of who was around her she failed to notice the small frame that she ran into. Grabbing a hold of the small girl before she hit the floor and hurt herself, Jennifer hurriedly apologized to the girl.
"It's fine don't worry about it" Mitchell giggled as she turned to face the mysterious girl that she remembered. "Hey you're that girl that ran into me last.. uhm.. before, right? Mitchell said as she looked into the girls green eyes and got caught up in them, swallowing a knot on her throat she send a smile her way.
Realizing that she was still touching Mitchell longer than needed, Jennifer begun to blush. "Oh uh yea sorry about that I'm a clumsy person by nature"Wow she's gorgeous snapping back from her thoughts she hear Mitchell speak again.
"Where you're heading in such a rush?"
"umm... just class" Jennifer said nervously
Mitchell giggles at the mysterious girls response she's really cute "What's your name anyways? I'm Mitchell by the way" shocking even herself at how fast she wanted to open up with this girl.
"I'm Jennifer"
"Nice meeting you Jennifer I have to go but I'll see you some other time" Mitchell said, as she walk away with a new set of thoughts in her mind, Jennifer, Jennifer, liking the way it sounded in her mind and thinking about the taller girl she smiled noticeably. Thinking that maybe this girl who just ran into her life might go to the party later on that night, and they'll have a chance to talk or something.
"Okay" Jennifer said in shock of the events that just happened. Forgetting about her bladder she made her way for her classroom before she was marked as late.
