How I saved my dad and how I died.

The template for my father was perfect. I took his basal cells and altered their DNA to replace the damaged

links.

He responded just like my lab animals. His organs started to repair themselves at an accelerated rate. By the

time five days had passed, his skin looked twenty years younger. The real test however would be his dementia. If

I was right, the treatment should repair the damage. It would not stop the disease from returning. The trait

would still exist but should return extremely slowly giving him at least another thirty years before he would

have to be treated again.

I hoped.

Within a week he regained most of his memory. A week and a half he looked and acted like he was a thirty

something man. No-one would ever believe that just a short time ago he couldn't even tie his shoes. It wasn't

perfect. His memory of the last five years was flawed and as the template completed the repairs of his brain, he

was susceptible to reprogramming. In his memory, I was always his little girl.

That was strange. I was not ready to have my dad fawn over me like I was his little princess. But part of me

accepted it and expected it. Was that what was happening to me? Was my personality being re-written by the

template? If so, this treatment could be used as a terrible weapon.

My time was just about run out. You can trick the state department into searching their records just so many

times before they become suspicious. And the school board wanted my records so they could place me in the right

class level.

My family would need a new identity. We would have to disappear from our home and start a new life someplace

else.

My mother was halfway through her treatment when I showed my father the truth about his condition.

At first he wouldn't believe that the man in my recordings was him. "There is no-way that I am 85 years old!" he

said. Three hours with his photo album changed his tune.

For hours we sat and talked about how I returned him to health and how mom was going through the treatment as we

spoke.

"They will kill you for this discovery, you know that don't you?"

"Yes dad, but I couldn't let you and mom die when I could see the solution so clearly!"

"When will your mother be ready to travel?"

"She needs at least a week and a half before I'll know she's stable dad."

"I can fix this.", "Jamie where's your passport?" Dad looked strange, almost dangerous.

He took my passport and told me to wait at home with my mother. Under no circumstances was I to leave the farm

until he returned.

Three days later, I received a letter from the French government informing me of the terrible accident that I

had died in. The body was burnt beyond identification but my passport was still intact enough to make an

identification of the remains.

What had dad done?

Did he murder someone?

I got my answer when he returned. "Jamie dear you're too young to know about this kind of stuff."

After an hour of persuasion he gave in to my puppy dog eyes.

"I didn't kill anyone sweetheart. When I worked for the government, I was trained in how to disappear. While I

was in France, I just followed the protocol that we had for emergency relocation. I went to a safe house and

identified myself with an emergency code. From there I was out of the loop. The agents found a recently dead

body that met your passports description and made sure that the body was destroyed in such a way as to make

identification impossible. The passport was in the corpses belongings."

My dad was James Bond!

Three days after mom awoke from her treatment something weird happened. A black van pulled into our driveway and

four men dressed in black knocked at our door.

I was terrified. The government was here to kill me.

My mother and father was standing arm in arm in front of the door. I ran and threw myself around their waist

crying hysterically. "They're going to kill us!"

My father kneeled down and held me by the shoulders. "Sweetheart, it's ok." "These men are here to move us to a

new home." "When your dad died he sold his discovery to the government." "They have to give us new identities to

protect us from other governments that would hurt us to get his secrets." "We're safe now." "We are going to a

new home!"

By now several other vans had pulled in and teams of men descended on what was my lab. Being a kid I was

immediately the center of attention.

As my parents explained my process to the science team, I was inundated with pony rides, ice cream and tickles!

Exhausted, I fell asleep. When I awoke we were on a plane to, well someplace else. The female agent that was

escorting us was deep in discussion with my mom and dad.

"Yes, she is listed as your daughter." "The house is near the ocean and only four blocks from her school." "If

you need, I will stay until she understands her new life." "The money has been placed in your account and the

trust fund is in your daughter's name."

I stopped listening and looked out of the jets window. The sun was rising and the ocean was big! "Who needed to

learn they were my parents?" I thought. "Throughout all this they were always mom and dad." And I didn't feel

threatened by that guy in my head anymore either. We were friends now. Our lives were just beginning and it was

going to be great!

That's the end of part 4

My new home is great and I love the beach. That's where I first met Johnny and that's where I learned that

having an ex-marine in your head can be a good thing. Six hundred hits on the picture of Johnny kissing me!

Sweet! Take that Michelle, you big boobed bimbo!

K Night :) xoxo
