Chapter 36
March Stephenson.
Maxieplus
Mays cafe was buzzing in the morning, people were still calling by with small gifts as I grabbed a bacon roll and coffee.
The bonus is Jason was on board today, I hugged and congratulated him.
"How do you feel?"
"I have no words."
"Neither does March, this is wonderful news, so you're not going ahead with the franchises?"
"No, I have so much to do I won't have the time."
"Like what?"
"Baby classes, making sure May is comfortable, a new teacher to train because I want to be here and in step with May all the way."
"That's awesome Jason, you will do good, and don't overthink everything. Plenty of contemplation for you both too."
"Yes and that too, I'm so excited I don't know what to do first."
"Moving here is the first step, you will have family around you to help, I hope you won't miss your home too much."
"I work in it every day Nicky, so I don't think I will miss it because May and the baby will be here."
"Is Julie going to work there or here?"
"Here Nicky I need to train someone up, I have plenty to choose from. I will be supervising some days but it looks like I'm not going to be working full-time."
It's funny how people's lives change overnight, one day they are making plans to expand a business and the next they are downsizing. A classic example is May and Jason, one little swimmer, and their lives have changed dramatically.
March kissed my neck and then shook Jason's hand, he grabbed a breakfast roll
and sat with us.
Rose joined us and May wasn't too far behind, she had a bag in her hands.
"March you forgot your wanking material." She wasn't too quiet about it and everyone looked at March, he of course blushed.
"Thank you, my football magazines."
"And other dirty stuff." She giggled and Rose snapped her fingers.
"Give me a look March Stephenson."
"No, it's personal."
"Give." She said firmly, so he passed the bag over.
"I like well-worn magazines, tells me there is something very interesting inside." She smiled as she took one out, I saw the name Stud on the cover. After Rose screamed he started packing it up again, but she stopped him.
"You won't get any work out of her today May."
"Whatever turns you on Nicky, and March."
"What have you got to move Jase?" He asked.
"Not a lot, just clothes March. I will leave all the furniture there, maybe the little one would like to live in the house when he or she gets married."
"Wow, that's thinking ahead for you. Have you told your family?"
"Yes, mum was on the phone five times yesterday she's so excited."
"Well it will be good to see her again." March smiled.
"She will be up soon she just wants to make sure Mays doing the right things." He grinned at her.
"Im starving, can go get me a hamburger please?" He jumped up and I watched March's face, I knew he wanted one also.
"Get two Jason," I yelled.
"You are trying to make me fatter Nicky."
"You will need all that new energy for the birth March."
He was thinking about it then he screamed at May.
"May Beth Stephenson, under no circumstances will you be having a natural birth, book a cesarean." He sat back and I laughed. Rose still had her nose in the magazines when I left she was arguing with March about which one she can keep. He came over and kissed me again, leaving his much lighter plastic bag on the counter. I will have a flick through them and find the most looked-at pages later on. Bubs had been sleeping but when he heard March's voice he said.
"Oil?"
"Yes, bubs can you give me a hand?"
"Ok."
With more words more walking and more food, my baby is growing up. He took him into the workshop and sat him in the highchair, at the moment he is just supervising. I looked around the gym, we had about twelve customers in today, so I started on the rowing machine then the walker. Just before lunch, a big truck arrived outside the vacant shop about five down from the cafe. Jack was driving it, and I spied two other workers with him, he opened the shop door and they started moving boxes into it. I guess he's going to open it up earlier than expected. A dozen pink and blue balloons were unloaded and he walked them up to the cafe and handed them to May. There were three blue ones that he separated, and after giving May and Jason a hug he came across the road into the work shop and tied them to bub's high chair. I could hear his excited screams so I went to talk to him.
Jack saw me and said.
"I have a message for you Nicky, Cory will be in tomorrow he's just been excited about my return and has been helping to clean up the house and yard."
"Good to hear, I missed his moaning." I grinned.
He pulled me aside and placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Nicky, we are good people, but sometimes we have to do stuff we don't like to survive. Cory is a great kid and he knows when he has to be grateful, like me and Lena, he also knows that he has to pay it forward someday."
"I would never see you all in a bad light, I have been guilty of using the government myself. So let's just forget all about it. When are you opening?"
"End of next week Nicky, and I hope we can be good friends." He smiled.
"Any friend of March's is a friend of mine, Jack."
I heard a balloon burst and bubs jumped, March had been trying to flick them around.
"Bloody idiot Stephenson, bursting a baby's balloons, shame on you."
March looked panicked but managed to answer.
"I will take one of Mays then."
"Don't bother March I can give you a bag full, but you will have to blow them up. Do you think you will be able to do that job properly?"
"Jack I.....?"
"See you later bloody loser, bye bye bubs." He kissed Mason's head and left laughing.
"Nicky I didn't mean to break it, it just happened." Poor March I think it's going to get a little crazy around here very soon. He left and I watched him pleading with May for a blue balloon which he got, he then walked back and tied it up with the others.
"You did well to get one March."
"I reminded her that she was still his aunty, new baby or not." Mason pushed those balloons around and they entertained him for the next few hours.
May came through to her business, she was starting work and Jason was two feet behind her. She picked Mase up and I grinned so while March was looking into an engine bay she absconded with him. The panic button was pushed five minutes later and he rushed in.
"With May out the back," I said.
"Okay, come on it's lunchtime."
"Wait for me." I put the magazine down and followed him across the road.
On the way we beelined towards Jack's shop, they had unloaded the truck and he was sorting through the boxes, he handed March a bag of blue balloons and then he found an inflater which he also handed over.
"You will need this buddy."
"Awesome thank you."
"So are you going to hire out tables and chairs and marquees?'
"Yes Nicky, I wont keep them here they will come from the city warehouse."
"Good. Nicky I'm hungry." March looked at me, I shook my head.
"Wait up for me, Lena said that Faith's roasts are the best."
He locked up and followed us up the road.
I ordered our lunches and then we all sat outside, Jack and March talked about their school days and I listened for any interesting bits. Sadly there was no new news items, pretty boring stuff.
Rose bought the food out and started talking to Jack, who asked why she was looking brighter nowadays. She looked at me and pointed.
"You can thank him for that."
"But I thought he was March's husband." He giggled.
Rose had to go inside to collect her composure.
It had been a day of surprises and I was about to get a bigger one when a familiar car turned up and parked. I stood up and walked over to the driver's side and grabbed Tom in a bear hug, it was so good to see him.
"I bought you a present." Pete was standing there looking as gorgeous as ever, now I'm going to get it.
"Pete, you look so good." I hugged him just a little bit longer than Tom.
"Nicky, my God you look so relaxed, this country living is so agreeing with you."
I had told March that Pete was big and tubby, at the time I thought it a great joke because I knew Pete was a hunk.
I smiled when I looked March's way and said.
"Come on lunch is ready and I want you to meet March."
"Lead the way."
They sat and I sent a message to mum who immediately came out and started asking the appropriate questions.
"You told me he was fat and ugly."
"Sorry, I wasn't thinking at the time."
"Well, it was a pretty big slip up Nicky."
"Got ya." I laughed.
"He is a hunk, now that one I could have a three-way with." I glared at him and he screamed laughing.
"Got you back."
"I'll bring out your meals boys, it's so good to see you again Peter, you are looking very well."
"All that good living Mrs, Wilson."
"Well you both look good." She walked off to get their meals.
I started eating and Pete leaned over and said.
"Nicky you had better ease up on the food your getting a little podgy."
I dropped my knife and looked at March. He had to run inside he was wetting himself laughing.
I introduced them to Jack and he started asking about their cleaning business.
"You should have opened it up here, Rosie is run off her feet sometimes and she only does locally, there is a heap of little towns up here."
"We didn't want to encroach on Nicky's town and Rose's business. The shop will do well for us."
"I will need clean-up guys for after-party events. Do you want to leave your cards?"
"We can do that Jack, no problem," Tom answered.
Pete was looking at March then me, then he shook his head.
"An improvement Nicky for sure. Thank god you lost that tool eventually."
"How was he when you left?"
"Screaming at the moon Nicky he was so pissed off."
"Good."
"It's okay, he will find some company now and maybe be treated a little differently in there." He winked.
Being on the receiving end of abuse I knew what he meant, but I did allow myself a little pity for Matt he wasn't a huge bottom fan, but I hope the inmates enjoy him, but from what I have heard it's not that prevalent like people would have you believe.
"Have you heard from Hank and Jim?"
"Yes they are back at the farm, please don't say anything Jim's mum is working in the cafe now, I don't know how much she knows about you being involved."
He winked at me.
"Where are you staying by the way?"
"Probably mum's place if she will have us."
"Can I make a suggestion?"
"Sure."
"Offer to stay at Rose's place, she's a bit lonely for some gay company I think."
"She is so much fun Nicky, yes we can stay with her."
"She has a hot tub now, short story. She lost her son in a car accident, he was gay, and she had plans of following him to the clubs when he grew up but it never happen. She needs to live again and laugh, do you mind?'
"Not at all Nicky, but won't mum get upset?"
"I will talk to her."
May and Jason arrived and she looked at March.
"Thanks for the photos but I'm having the curry today." He looked at me I nearly screamed.
"No more March." I then went to get bub some lunch and to talk to mum.
"That's fine Nicky is there any reason you want them to stay at Roses?"
"I think you know why, she needs people partying and smiling around her. I think Tom and Pete will be ideal, she will also have someone else to fuss over." I winked.
"Okay but you all have to come over for dinner sometime."
"I promise."
I got Mase some veggies and gravy and just a little meat. When I got back I didn't have to do anything Pete grabbed him off May and started feeding him. He was very happy, and Pete is a natural with kids.
"Welcome back Tom and who is this mighty fine specimen?" Rose said.
"Hi Rosie, this is Pete, my big brother."
"Pleased to meet you Pete, welcome, now Aunty Rose has to go do some work she's feeling a little hot."
"Hey Rosie, you got a new hot tub I hear."
"Yes Tom, that's if the neighbours will let me get in it for a minute." She looked at Jack.
"Well, you don't use it during the day Rosie." Jack looked pleased.
"Point taken."
"Can you put us up tonight Rose?" I think she orgasmed.
"Of course I can, I will get the Vodka on the way home."
"Wow, great, shots in the tub."
"Can I come over?" Jack said.
"Only if you tub it in the nude Jack," Pete said, and Jack shut up.
Faith gave them both a squeeze hug and did everything she usually does, she made sure they had enough to eat, did they want dessert and they must come to the farm one day for lunch. Oh to be a fly on the wall if that ever happens, Hank and Jimmy would freak.
Bubs has had enough, May was still eating and Jason was watching her, I looked around the table and of course March Stephenson was looking at me.
"Don't you have work?"
"Yes, but I need a little help."
"See you later guys, come over the road we can talk, and bring the baby."
I laughed because March was very hot to trot.
I always can tell when he is stiff, I know where to look when he has his overalls on. I guess I can thank Pete for this. His legs shook violently when he came, he couldn't find the words so he said nothing, but I did.
"Was Pete's mouth in your head throughout lunch?"
He didn't answer, so I pulled my shorts up and went in to work, it only took him two minutes to realize what I was suggesting. The door swung open and he stood there with his hands on his hips.
"I love you Nicky Stephenson, no one else, and of course, I was only thinking about your mouth on my dick, what the hell do you think I am?"
The clapping started about that time, and he turned and said.
"Mind your own business, bloody losers."
It took all of ten minutes for the giggling and the posting on the local page to subside, then I had my bubs back in my arms again. The gym had gone noticeably quiet when they walked in. I did see some of the guys have a sneaky peek at them, some remembered Tom from the last visit, and later on, a few wanted to know who Pete was.
We sat at the counter and talked some, I told them they should have opened their business here, there are many single men around that don't clean their homes.
"Nicky it's only temporary. We needed to store some stuff, and that shop was ideal, there's no others around it, and it's in a quiet street." Tom said.
"I see so your not starting up a cleaning business then?"
"Eventually we will, it's just that we have a lot of stuff to get rid of. it's been stored for the past six months. We are selling it slowly but it all takes time."
"What sort of stuff?"
"TV's computers phones all that sort of stuff."
"Do you want me to pass the word around here?
"No Nicky please don't get involved, you have the ideal lifestyle here, don't muck it up."
"Well if you get stuck the guys in here would welcome some cheap gadgets. We don't have anything like that up here."
"I will send you a list with prices you keep twenty percent but be discreet please."
"I will."
"These sort of operations get really out of hand so watch who you sell to."
"My mouth is sealed, and where are you going to start the business?"
"We will look for a home around here if you don't mind, then operate the business in the surrounding area. We have already bought the stuff we will need."
"Legit?"
"Legit, it's time, we have been lucky up to date but all that can change if either of us slips up. That is unless you have someone for us to sort out, we will do that gladly."
"Okay, we will go and settle ourselves in, and see you at mums tonight." Pete smiled.
"Tonight?"
"Yes she insisting, I'll get Rosie to bring the vodka." They both laughed.
When they left some of the guys wanted to know who Pete was, so I told them and I reminded two of them that they were already married. I knew what they were thinking, a blow job in the shed wouldn't be refused even if they were straight, a blow is a blow.
Bubs slept his day away and my next problem arrived.
"Sorry Nicky, I had some stuff to do with dad."
"That is fine Cory, we got to practice me running with a wheelchair at some stage. In the meantime use the running and rowing machines. You still want to do the fun run don't you?"
"Of course I do, can I do the last kilometer on foot?"
"If you're up to it yes."
"I will go out with dad one night and mark a tree so we will know when to stop."
"And just so we are clear, you can have the vouchers only, Cory."
His face went red and he stomped towards the machines muttering to himself.
"What are you all looking at you wankers?" He yelled. He doesn't know me that well, he will get the prize money too, but in the meantime, I will have some fun with him, just like he had with me.
March poked his head in just to make sure I wasn't sucking on anything I shouldn't be, he smiled and gestured coffee. I shook my head no, because I have to watch Cory. He went and got me one and then sat with me, the cake was nice also.
"Mum's tonight for tea March."
"Good, I like her cooking."
"You like Faiths too."
"Yes but mums cooking tonight and I like hers today." He smiled.
"They aren't opening a cleaning business in town now, they are coming here to live."
"What about Rose?"
"They will do the outer towns, Rose will still have our town."
"Does it upset you they might come and live here?"
"Not at all March, they can live anywhere they like."
"I see," He went silent.
"March, do I have to remind you we are married and we don't play around."
"I just thought it would be pretty hard to resist getting off with Peter, you like the butch ones."
"I also love you, and I love the sensitive ones too."
"Who?"
I laughed so much one of the guys walked over and said.
"I'm really sensitive Nicky." He smiled.
"Bloody loser, get back to work." March quietened down after that.
"I don't even like them using your name Nicky, that is mine to use."
"Well, we can't avoid that March."
"But I still don't like it, it's too familiar and they are a randy lot, especially in here."
"I guess so March, do you get randy when you exercise?" He blushed again.
"Yes but I'm always thinking about you."
"Well there you have it, always saying the right things, and I love you more for it. Cory massage time."
"Is March staying?" Smart prick.
"If you want him too." Then he screamed out.
"Don't do any naughty things to me, there are laws against that sort of stuff." I looked at my now silent lot and said.
"He's winding me up boys, nothing to see here. Cory will you shut up, they all might want a piece of your ass." He gagged and almost ran out the door.
"See you tomorrow." He said.
"But what about the massage?"
"I'll get mum to do it."
"He didn't have his wheelchair today, he walked up to the new shop to hug his dad I presumed.
"Now I'm ready for a swim."
"So am I, very ready."
"I can see that March, grab the baby and I will wet my lips." That was the fastest pack-up I have seen, in no time we were at the clearing having some adult action and again, I wasn't on my knees
.Bubs squealed as he was swooped up by his grandad, they must have things to discuss tonight. Mum looked nice she had dressed up, maybe she is a little miffed that the boys wanted to stay with Rose.
I can't tell you all about the night, it was a push-shove sort of event. Rose would talk to them about cleaning and mum would talk to them about their family, who Rose didn't know, so she was shut up, then it was her turn to talk to the boys with her stories of the club night. Sadly I think Rose lost, but I was sure by tomorrow she will know just about everything.
The chicken roast was wonderful and Mase loved his little dinner, extra gravy for him I think he ordered. March fed him and talked to Pete some, he was a gorgeous guy just like his brother. They got around to talking about Matt and that slight smile on March's face appeared and stayed.
"Which reminds me, Annie has packed his room up and taken in a border. She told my friend he's the perfect gentleman."
"Good for her," Tom said.
It wasn't a late night and I was tired, Rose and the boys were going home to tub it and mum said she was going to have one too. I had to have a small chuckle, there no way her and dad would jump into the spa at this time of night.
March made love to me again and Mase slept soundly, we had a giggle about their need to get one up on each other. I guess mum felt that they should have stayed with her, but I had a bigger plan in my head.
"Barrys going to start tomorrow Nicky, just the painting, the decorating will be done the day after."
"Good, he will love his new room." I was worried he may act up about being moved but maybe the animals will distract him some.
March had his leftover roast for breakfast while Mase played banging on the floor with a ladle he liked. I chewed on some toast and had decided I had better do something about looking at sports wheelchairs. I will rent one because I doubt whether Cory would use it in the future.
"What have you got on for the day March?"
"Finish those cars and start on some more."
"Are they coming this morning?"
"Yes Nicky, Four being picked up and two being dropped off."
"Are we still going to that museum on the weekend?"
"I would like to, and dads still keen."
"Good, we go then." I packed bub's bag with fresh items and then I checked him out, he was good to go.
March had a spring in his step today, we can thank May for that. I sat outside the cafe and watched the pickup and delivery of the cars.
He came across to have his egg and bacon roll and bubs wanted to help him eat it. Rose was dropped off by Pete and Tom who said good morning and then they grabbed breakfast. Bubs wanted Pete now, I guess they have bonded very quickly. He was telling him about his new room, I think.
I heard shouting coming from the new shop and Jack was standing outside.
He locked up and joined us, with a hot dog in hand he started complaining to March about eager customers trying to look around the shop.
"You should be a little more congenial to the locals, after all, they are going to be your main customers."
"Maybe your right Stephenson, but we don't open until next week."
March stared at him, I suppose he's trying to find the words.
"You know you should open the shop now, the word will spread like wildfire."
"I have a plan but there's been plenty of interest already."
"Open the bloody thing up, are you nearly finished stacking the shelves?"
"Yes all done last night. I worked my ass off until the wee hours, but I want to stick to my plan."
"Jack a little known fact, there's a big party on this weekend at the Webb house more than a hundred people are going. That's a party you will miss out on."
"I'll open when I get back then, I wanted to go fishing today."
I laughed and he stared at me, I'm in for it now.
"What's so funny Mrs. Stephenson?"
"Oh I don't know, you go to all the trouble of living away from home for almost a year, you learn the party business, you rent a shop in town and set it up. Then you lock it up to go fishing. There is something odd about all that don't you think?"
"Sorry about the Mrs bit Nicky, you are right it was a horrendous year for all my family." The boys were laughing at him because I think they can relate to his work ethic, let's hope they won't let me down.
"Did you tub it when you got home Tom?" I changed the subject.
"No Nicky we were a bit tired and Rose went to bed. I slept like a log it's so quiet up that end of town."
"It's the old part Tom, my aunty left me the house otherwise I would have been in the crap." Jack offered some information, I had thought they maybe have rented.
"How was mum when we left?"
"Put out but she understands she has to learn to share your company, she loves you both, she's always loved you."
"She won't when she finds out it was us that drove her car around when she wasn't home."
I started laughing, we were sixteen and they talked me into taking them to a big shopping center in mum's car. No license no idea how to drive in traffic, so Pete drove and boy could he drive, we made it in record time mums little car didn't know what hit it.
I was giggling to myself then March touched my hand so I stopped.
"Any plans for today Pete?"
"We are going to look at houses for rent Nicky, better get started on it as soon as we can."
"Just a heads up Jason is moving in with May out the back here. He's got a nice house twenty minutes away, he runs his business from it but I think he's going to rent the house part of it out."
"We will talk to him, we were going to look at that town because of its bigger population."
"You can live anywhere you want, nothing is that far away from here."
"Okay, we will see."
Jack went back to work and I spotted him placing an A-board out the front I guess he's open.
"I had better go and do some work Nicky, dads on his own over there."
"I will come with you March, I would like to see your cars," Pete said.
I cleaned the table up and started across the road with bubs, Tom followed behind.
"Nicky don't think for one minute that Pete is eyeing March off, he's only interested in the cars as you know, he was in the business not so long ago." He smiled.
"I don't think anything of the sort, I know Pete and I know March more and that is never going to happen."
"Well it's just a heads up, thats all. Oh by the way your friends are on Meet Me again." I nearly tripped over and my thoughts were with Faith and Ethan once again.
"What are they up to?"
I placed the little one into his pool and we sat at the counter, he rattled Cory's tin, it was becoming quite heavy. It reminded me that I should empty it and put the money aside.
"They are looking for a third, they can't host but can travel. That's a good thing Nicky, they won't be doing anything locally."
"They must have talked it out then, I have no worries for them just Jim's parents."
"So you won't mind my next question then?"
"Go for it, you know they are in love it's just the sex they want."
"Sweet, I will tell Pete you okayed it."
"Pete?"
"He is wanting to have a go at Jimmy after I told him how sweet his ass was. I won't go back there but I am talking to a very nice married hunk in the next town."
"Don't get me involved, I couldn't stand another bust-up."
He laughed and told me he shouldn't have said anything, he was just amazed they went back on the site."
"Wow those cars are amazing, does he just do the old ones?" Pete arrived.
"Yes, he's an expert on them." I smiled.
"Well, he has got a great business going in here, now what have you got for me in here today?" He looked around at the guys, I laughed.
"Umm I might do some weights and get that hunk to spot me."
"That's Nudge, wife three kids, family home."
"So?"
"You are shocking Pete but I doubt he would be interested."
"You never know Nicky, sometimes straight men can surprise you." He smiled and walked off. I watched him take his T-shirt off and nearly swooned at his chest.
"He did a lot of weights in prison Nicky, nothing else to do."
"Well, he looks awesome."
My baby had gone to sleep and I watched him, Tom had gone off to talk to mum, and Pete was having a nice old chat with Nudge. With all this sex talk around me I thought I might go and see what March is up to, and when I looked up he was looking through the window, but he wasn't looking at me.
The door opened and he came and kissed me then he sat down.
"He has got a tight body Nicky."
"He certainly has March."
"Is it bigger than mine?"
"A little March."
"That's it then, I had better get back to my training." He sighed.
"Best you do March." I knew he wasn't looking at Pete's body for sex, it was his muscle tone he was eyeing off, sure it was.
"Pete watch the baby for ten minutes."
I took March's hand and walked him out the back to check his muscle tone.
When we arrived back he went to do some more work and I sat and played games. Pete came over and Nudge was wiping himself down, he then grabbed his kit bag and winked at me as he left.
"Okay, what have you done to my Nudge?"
"Nothing Nicky, he only talked about him living here for years and his wife and kids. He's the local Telephone installation man, and offered me a couple of free installs if I move here." I wasn't buying it but if Nudge wants head then let that be on him, I do not want to know, maybe.
Morning tea time saw Rose come out to have coffee, mum was eyeing her off from her counter but she couldn't come out because she and Faith were busy.
The boys had left to go do something and March, dad and I grabbed something to eat. I asked Rose how her night was and she beamed as she told me they had sat talking for an hour when they got in.
"They are so interesting Nicky, did you know they sold warehouse seconds?"
"In their spare time, what did you buy?"
"A very big TV I believe and an air fryer. Cheap as chips."
"Good because you need them."
"Well, I do it's about time I updated."
"I see, did they have anything else?"
"Lots Nicky, and I know it's not legit. Isn't it wonderfully exciting to be a criminal?" She whispered.
"So have you decided they are not a threat to your business?"
"Yes Nicky, we talked it out I keep my customers and they will charge a little extra so my friends don't desert me."
"Do me a favour Rose?"
"Yes."
"Please don't get involved with their business please keep yours separate."
"They told me that any attempts of mine to join them would be rejected."
"Good."
"I'm so excited." She screamed, and that did it, mum came out to sit for a minute.
