Lost Without Love
Chapter 2
As were heading to school, me driving, Olivia, Damian and I made small talk. Mostly about how our summer went. We all made plans to hang out sometime over the break but couldn't find the time to do so. Olivia had a job at a fast food place. I had to teach hip hop dance to kids that were auditioning for a huge dance crew. As you read in the previous chapter, you never would've guessed that I was also a dancer with how I described myself. I've been dancing since I was 5...Anway, we didn't really know much about Damian. He told us he'd been helping his dad with his family market.
As I said before, Olivia and I are really close. It was the same way between Damian and I. But once I told him I was gay, I also had another thing to tell him. I had a HUGE crush on him ever since I laid eyes on him. A week before school let out the previous year, I decided to tell him. He told me that things were still good between us, but I know for a fact things have changed. We don't really sit near eachother at lunch, we don't really acknowledge eachother at all. I guess things change.
As we finally got to school, we made our way to the guidance office to pick up our schedules. Me and Olivia had three classes together, Damian and I didn't. I was sorta happy with that, considering the way things were between us. The bell rang for us to go to first period. It's a good thing we were on block schedule only having four class periods a day. 7 or 8 was just too much.
Me and Olivia made our way to our first period Spanish lll class when I suddenly stopped dead in my tracks. There stood Jason, the boy I've had fantasies about for the longest time.
Olivia hadn't noticed I stopped and bumped into me.
"Hey what's the big idea?" She asked.
Instead of answering I pointed to Jason.
"Oh shit" She said under her breath.
Oh great, now I had to be in class with him after trying to avoid him ever since we started high school. The tardy bell rang to let us know that it was time for class to begin. Everyone scrambled to get a seat. When I finally snapped out of my shock, I realized that everyone was seated and Senora Mills had walked into the room. I tried to find a seat but everything was already taken...except for one. I had to sit next to Jason. I reluctantly sat down and class began. For some reason, I felt like eyes were watching me the whole time. I looked to the right where Jason was sitting and caught him staring straight at me. I looked at him, he smiled at me and turned his attention back to the lesson. Luckily the bell rang to signal that class was finally over. I literally ran out of the room to catch up with Olivia.
"Oh my God!!" I exclaimed.
"I know!" Olivia said back.
"Looks like you got it in for you." Olivia said with a laugh.
"Shut up." I shot back.
"Hey don't worry about it, that is probably the only class you have with him."
"Yeah, hopefully."
We made it to Geometry just before the bell rang and yet again, I stop dead in my tracks, Olivia bumping into me again.
"You have got to be kidding me." I said under my breath.
Olivia came around to see what I was talking about and she also stopped. Her jaw practically hit the ground.
"I guess..I was wrong." She said trying to process what she had just seen.
"Ya think?" I shot back.
We hurried to grab a seat and luckily I found one next to Olivia. What I didn't noticed was someone sitting behind me. I turned around and my eyes looked like they were gonna pop out of my head. There was Jason AGAIN.
I think now would be a great time to describe Jason. He was about 6'2'', muscular but not too big considering he was a football player. He had blonde hair cropped short and sort of spikey. He had gorgeous crystal blue eyes that sparkled in the light. A total hottie if you ask me.
As the day dragged on, I learned that I had EVERY class with Jason and he sat next to me In AP World History and behind me in AP Physics. This was going to be a very interesting semester.
As the the first two months dragged on, nothing was very interesting. Jason ignored me as I hoped he would. Homework was given everynight in Geometry and Physics, but it wasn't something I couldn't handle.
It was a normal Wednesday in September and all was boring as usual, until we got to Geometry. I took my seat beside Jason and as I did to my surprise, he spoke to me.
"Hi." He said with a smile.
"Um, hi." I said nervously.
"Johnny right?"
"Yes, Jason?"
"Yep"
I still couldn't believe it, I was talking to the guy of my dreams.
"We have every class together. Funny, don't you think?" He said with a smile.
"Yeah, sorta is." I said still nervous.
We still made small talk as our teacher came around handing back a test we'd taken 2 days before.
"Shit, another D." Jason said glumily.
"That sucks man." I said sympathetically.
"What'd you get?"
"A minus"
"Damn"
"Did you not study or something?" I asked him.
"Yeah, but it's math. I've never really understood it at all. I have a C minus in this class and I need to keep it up if I wanna stay on the football team." He said in an even more gloomy tone.
"I could tutor you if you want." `Did I just say that?' I thought to myself.
"Could you?!" He asked sort of excitedly.
"Sure, I don't mind." I answered sincerely.
"Thanks so much, man!"
"No problem, just helping a fellow classmate."
He smiled and asked,
"So can we meet up this afternoon after school? My house?"
"Sure, my parents are usually out on business all the time so, they wouldn't even notice that I'm not home."
"Cool, so I'll see you then." He said as the bell rang for lunch.
"Yep" I said and then left with Olivia.
"Oh my God, guess what?!" I asked Olivia.
"Wow, you seem happy about something." She said with a laugh.
"I am, Jason just asked me to tutor him in Geometry and I'm going to his house this afternoon afterschool!!"
"No way!"
"Way"
"You are so lucky. He's like the hottest guy in school."
"I know, I just hope I don't make a fool out of my self with being so nervous."
"Don't worry, you'll be fine."
"Yeah, I guess so."
That's all was said until we met up with our other friends and headed for the nearest fast food joint for lunch.
The rest of the day dragged on and finally the last bell rang. I met Jason in the Junior parking lot and decided to follow him home in my car.
This was it. Finally me, being alone with the guy I've been falling for ever since freshman year...
