Chapter 7
Friday was more or less a blurr for Keegan. Gwen had gone out earlier and gotten coffee and returned Rabbit's car. She had been nice enough first not to wake Keegan until she had brought her a cappuccino. AJ happened to make an appearance just as she and Gwen were finishing the shower. Gwen had left Keegan in a bizarre position. She did make up for it later. Janet Dailey called Gwen's cell phone on Friday evening.
"I am not saying that it will be fun, but it maybe an opportunity to hang with the upper classman." Gwen told Janet as she plugged her ear with one finger and held her phone to the other. Keegan was busy kissing her ear and trying disrupt the conversation.
"I am not coming back until Sunday." Janet said in desperation. "Is Keegan back yet?" Janet asked.
"Oh Keegan is definitely back." Gwen said as Keegan moved her lips to Gwen's breast.
"Shit!" Dailey said. "Man, I was hoping to get a ride with if she was still at home." There was a brief pause. Keegan continued to tease and suck at Gwen's breast. Gwen let out a small gasp. "What the hell are you doing?" Janet asked as she heard Gwen suck in breath.
"What? Crunches...It's been a weird week and it's a very long story." Gwen said as she tried to push Keegan away. "Just try to get here. Kee and I will wait for you."
"I'll call you if I can get there." Janet said as she hung up the phone. Gwen rolled over and straddled Keegan. They had been together for the last twenty-four hours. Keegan could not count the number of times that they had had sex or the number of times she had an orgasm. Feast or famine was the phase she had thought about numerous times in the last day. She did not have many positive dating experiences under her belt. With the interaction with Gwen before she left Weston, she really wasn't certain as too what she would be walking back into.
Although her relationship with her family was open, Keegan still found it difficult to talk to her Mom about her love life. On a nice sunny day while camping, she and Sarah were walking along the sandy beach. For the first time in her life, she felt comfortable talking with her Mom about Sandy. She told her Mom about Gwen. Sarah was concern with Keegan's feelings for Gwen. They both were young and away from home for the first time. Gwen knew her Mom was right. She was young. Sandy had ripped her heart out. When she was struggling through that break up, Sarah was more concern about Keegan's physical healing. Not the healing of the heart that had been broken.
As they walked down the beach, Sarah took Keegan's hand in hers. She wasn't ready to accept Keegan's life style after the accident. In the aftermath of almost losing her eldest child Sarah accepted her daughter's choice and tried to be there for her as much as possible. Slowly over the months of one on one time, they spoke about Sandy Creed and Keegan's relationship. As she talked with her Mom on the beach about Sandy, Keegan questioned why she would let someone treat her like Sandy did. She asked Sarah about why she would let someone have so much control ver her.
"You were in love. Love makes us do strange things." Sarah told her. Keegan knew her Mom was right. She wasn't going to put herself in that position ever again. She made herself that promise awhile ago. Her Mother's concerns confirmed her own resolution. "This Gwen did she hurt you?" Sarah asked as the walked along the beach.
"Yes..No." Keegan answered. "There was no forcing. I am really attracted to her. I think she is attracted to me, but "
"But, she is seeing this other girl." Sarah repeated what Keegan had told her earlier.
"Yeah...it's not like that though. I see them interact...Its like watching the King's" Keegan referred to the next door neighbors that had gotten divorced after years of fighting. Sarah nodded her head in agreement. "When you are on the outside, you can see that the relationship is not great. The Kings stayed together for the kids and where are they?"
"Last I heard, Kelly was pregnant and Billy was in rehab." Sarah filled in the blanks. "The Kings were different. They had kids and wanted to stay together for the kids."
"Look at Billy do you think that was the best thing for him? Poor Kelly. She a year younger than me and is having a kid. It wasn't right to stay together just because you have kids or have been together for a long period of time."
"Well, maybe Gwen will realize that this girl is not good for her. Just see what happens." Sarah's words of wisdom rang clear as Keegan looked up at Gwen.
"Wow...you looked like you were a million miles away." Gwen said as she bent over to kiss Keegan on the lips.
"I was thinking about some things my Mom and I talked about when I was gone." Keegan confessed. "It was actually a really good talk."
"That was Daily on the phone. She's trying to get her back for Rabbit's party tomorrow."
"So what's going to happen when we tell her that our relationship has ...has "
"Evolved?" Gwen interjected. Keegan nodded. "I really don't think she will freak. Besides, she was the one that told me you were gay."
"Really...wait until I see that girl." Keegan was upset that Janet outed her.
"Whoa...why are you mad? Janet did us both a favor. Otherwise, we would be waiting a year until you actually did something."
"True." Keegan knew that she would never even approach Gwen about being gay. "Maybe I should thank her."
"Maybe you should, but I think Janet had or has a crush on you."
"Dailey is gay?"
"Bi..we had the talk. We were watching a movie while you were sleeping or having fun with Tara. We thought that you were hot." Gwen giggled as she cuddled against Keegan's chest.
"It's nice to know that I was the subject of discussion. What else did Janet have to share?" Keegan was interested in the conversation that happen between the friends. "Or was this something that just happen to be brought up?"
"We were watching a movie with Angelina Jolie and Janet said that she was hot. The conversation happen from there."
"So you went from Angelina Jolie to me?" Keegan pressed. Gwen nodded. "I can handle that."
"You are insatiable."
"Thank you." Keegan said as she kissed Gwen.
There was an uncertainty in the air when Janet walked in the room on Saturday afternoon. Although she had been gone for most of the week, she had talked to Gwen numerous times. Keegan and Gwen had cleaned their room and aired it out. Although they tried to act as if nothing had changed between them. Janet immediately sensed something different.
"What's going on?" Janet said as she walked in the room. Gwen had put some potpourri on make the room smell better. Keegan's half of the room was spotless.
"Keegan hasn't been back long enough to mess her side of the room up." Gwen covered.
"There is something up!" Janet said as Keegan walked out of the bathroom.
"What's up Daily? How was the family?"
"Good...how was your trip?"
"Full of bonding." Keegan said as she raised her eyebrows. "Are we ready to mix it up with the upper classman?"
"I thought you had your fill of mixing it up with AJ last week?" Janet made a smart comment. "Speaking of AJ..." Janet changed her focus to Gwen. "Is she leaving you alone?"
"Oh that's the story that I need to tell you, but I can do that later." Gwen explained as she opened the door to the hallway. "Let's get going. It's a bit of a walk."
Janet walked between Keegan and Gwen as the headed towards the party at Rabbit's house. Keegan had put on a pair of navy shorts and a stripe green and navy top. There was a change in Gwen's demeanor as they got closer to Rabbit's house. While the conversation had been full from the dorm until three blocks from the party, there was an uncomfortable silence in Gwen as she got closer to Rabbit's house. Keegan noticed that Gwen did not wear anything too flattering. She had on gray Weston shirt with a pair of jean shorts. Janet was excited and talked non-stop. She was glad to be back for the party.
"I'm excited to be out. I have been coped up all week with my family. No offense them but I'd rather be with you guys!" Janet teased her friends. "I am just happy to be back."
"I think most of the team will be there." Keegan said as she looked down at Janet's polished toenails. She laughed to herself. "Gwen, are your okay?"
"Yeah." Gwen's answer was monotone.
"You don't have to go if you think you will be uncomfortable." Gwen was silent as they stood on the sidewalk looking at the small ranch house across the street. There was no breeze and the humidity was not letting up from the morning.
"If you think AJ is going to bug you we can turn around." Janet added. "But Rabbit's got a pool right?" Janet asked even though she knew the answer. Gwen heard her name and looked at Janet. She was at the brink of tears. Janet looked from Gwen back to Keegan. Keegan took a step closer to Gwen and gathered her in her arms.
"You do not have to go." Gwen held on to Keegan tight. Keegan let her cry on her shoulder.
"I am just so mad." Gwen explained. "I am mad that I wasted so much of my life on Allison James." She looked over at the house. "This house just reminds me of that fact. Each time I visited, AJ would get me drunk so I'd pass out and she'd go sleep with some other girl. Every time I knew what was going on but I let it happen." Gwen composed herself. Keegan stepped away from the embrace. Gwen pulled her back and kissed her on the mouth.
"Shit!" Janet said as she watched them kiss. " What the hell? When were you going to tell me about this? No wonder AJ is pissed."
"You did not have to do that." Keegan looked in Gwen's eyes.
"Yes, I did. " Gwen looked at Janet. "You walk in that party and you are going."
"To get hit on left and right. You're a hotty!" Janet finished her thought. Keegan held fast to Gwen's hand. "That's why AJ hates you. You are taking her thunder and making her look bad."
"You are making AJ show her true self. " Gwen said. Janet nodded.
"Are you sure you want to go in?" Keegan double check with Gwen. Gwen nodded and squeezed her hand. "A hotty." Keegan smiled as they crossed the street. "I can live with that."
"Here comes the ego." Janet said as she placed her hand on the head. "God, help us!" Janet and Gwen laughed.
Gwen led the way through the garage and into the back patio area. Rabbit was at the grill turning burgers and hot dogs. She waved to the threesome. Gwen made her way towards Rabbit. Keegan and Janet walked around the pool checking out the temperature with their toes. Keegan stood with Rose for a couple of minutes. She had noticed that Rabbit and Gwen had gone into the house. After a few more greetings she wandered into the kitchen and found Gwen and Shannon talking. They both looked at her and smiled.
"We were just talking about you." Rabbit said. "Good stuff I hope." Keegan stood next to Gwen at the sink. Gwen grabbed her hand. "Obviously the discussion you are having has something to do with us."
"Kee, Gwen wanted to make sure things were good with me if you guys started to see each other. I told her hell no I had my sights on you. I've been waiting for years. You and Sandy Creed that used to piss me off. She treated you like crap. Do remember the trip to Columbus." Rabbit rambles on not noticing that Keegan's expression changed. As Keegan remembered the pain she went through during the trip to Columbus, she recalled Sandy picking up a guy and hurting her. Keegan tried to let go of Gwen hand, but Gwen held tight.
"Rabbit, can you excuse us for a minute." Gwen led Keegan to the family room. They sat down on the couch. Gwen still held on to Keegan's hand.
"Talk to me. You get upset or mad about this Sandy. I know that you are over her, but you are still mad. I need you to tell me what you are mad about." Gwen said with reassurance. Keegan's mind raced. She was over Sandy. Gwen was right she was mad.
"Sandy Creed was my first love. I loved her so much." Keegan felt the pain surfacing. "She hurt me. Rabbit played with us on a travel team. Sandy would always pick up guys. In front of me, she would flirt and kiss them. I lost track of how many times she did it after awhile." Keegan stopped and brushed a lone tear away. She looked at Gwen. There was an understanding look in her eyes. She waited for Keegan to continue. "We were in Columbus" Keegan began to finish the story Rabbit had started in the kitchen. She had a great tournament in Columbus. Rabbit had assisted on a couple of goals. Sandy sat the bench most of the time, but she got in towards the end. The ref was a young college age guy. Sandy flirted with him and she decided to go to dinner with him. She brought him back to the hotel and into their room. Keegan had to leave because they were making out on the bed and it made her sick. The person she was in love with could be kissing this guy in front of her without any issues.
"Sandy hooked up with the ref. Right in the hotel room, she is making out with this guy she just met. I am sitting in the corner watching this. I did nothing. I let her do it."
"God damn it." She broke the lock Gwen had on her hand. There were memories that started to flood back. "Sandy did it to me all the time. Finally I got tired of it. Some guy was all over her at a party. I took a chance and I outed us Thanksgiving weekend. Oh Sandy was pissed. I confessed to the party that I was in love with her. She freaked out. We left the party and got in the accident."
"Sandy was driving the car?" Gwen asked. Keegan nodded. "The accident that you got hurt badly in. Sandy walked away with no injuries."
"I think she had a few bumps and bruises. I haven't spoken to her since. I keep thinking if I would have just kept my mouth shut. I would have never been in the accident. My life would be different."
"You wouldn't be here." Gwen said. "The other day you said that things happen for a reason. You were not happy. Sandy hurt you." Gwen touched Keegan face. "She did not love you. She loved herself." Keegan kissed Gwen hand.
"Lately, I've been thinking about her a lot. It's more of how stupid I was and how hurt I got. I let her walk all over me. I am not sure what I would do if I saw her again."
"Do you still love her?" Gwen asked quietly.
"No." Keegan's answer was stern. "I will never put myself in that spot again." She saw Gwen's look change. "Do you still love AJ?"
"I still have feelings for her. I don't think that I have been in love with her for a long time." Gwen looked around the room. "The last time I was in this room. AJ was screwing Andrea on the floor." Gwen looked at the floor. "I stood in the doorway and watched. AJ has hurt me over and over. Keegan, you and I have a lot in common."
"I guess we do." Keegan said as she leaned over and kissed Gwen on the lips. "I can not guarantee you that whatever is going on between us will last forever."
"Forever....that's a big word for our relationship." Gwen laughed. "Let's just see what happens. We just need to talk. If something is bothering you, you need to talk to me. I will do the same." Gwen leaned towards Keegan and kissed her again. Keegan leaned back on the couch pulling Gwen on top of her. She could feel the stirring in her body. Their tongues touched and teeth banged together. They laughed, as they looked into each other eyes. Gwen nudged her knee into Keegan crotch.
"Ms. Garry you make me think very bad thoughts." Gwen confessed. Her hair fell around her faced and on to the cushion behind Keegan's head.. Keegan placed a lock between her fingers and felt its softness. She pushed her body against Gwen's. "Very good thoughts" Gwen corrected herself. They began to kiss again. Gwen hand went to Keegan breast. Her mouth moved to Keegan's neck. Her knee moved harder against Keegan's shorts.
"Hey!" Rabbit called from the doorway. "Get a room." Keegan's face was beat red. Gwen flipped her hair back off her face. She smiled up at Rabbit.
"I can't keep my hands off her." Gwen said as she kissed Keegan's breast through the shirt.
"I can see that. So can everyone else." Rabbit pointed to the crowd that had gathered in the kitchen. Keegan buried her face in Gwen's shoulder. Gwen adjusted her shirt and stood up in front of Keegan. "Didn't you learn anything from the cops?"
"What?" Keegan responded quickly. She immediately looked at Gwen. "What did you tell her?"
"It was her car. What if they ran the plates."
"Keegan..." Gwen stood up. She looked at Rabbit with a red face. "We did not get a ticket."
"You are lucky about that. I did hear that a "Full moon" will do that too you though. Rose it was a full moon on Thursday wasn't it."
"According to Patrolman Keller, it was definitely a "Full Moon." Rose teased.
"Isn't Keller coming over here tonight?" Rabbit said as she looked out the window.
"I am so embarrassed." Gwen said as she covered her face.
"We can continue this later." Keegan said as Gwen pulled her to her feet. Gwen kissed her ear as she stood up. Keegan smiled at the group in the kitchen filling their plates. There were a few snickers as they walked through. "Rose, that cop is not going to be here is she?"
"No, but I saw her yesterday. You two are the talk of the town!"
"Great." Keegan commented as she hid her face in Gwen's shoulder.
"I am the one that should be embarrassed. I was the one that bared my ass." Gwen whispered as they walked to the backyard. "Come on I want you to meet a couple of people."
Keegan sat on the edge of the pool. Her feet were in the water. Gwen was sitting in the chase lounge behind her talking with Rose. Janet was talking with the cute dark haired tennis player. Gwen had quickly pointed out Andrea, the volleyball player that AJ had messed around with. Keegan was introduced to at least a dozen new people. Gwen knew most of the crowd. There were comments regarding that she finally made it to Weston as a student. From what Keegan could gather, Gwen did visit the campus frequently while in high school. What different paths they led. Prior to the accident, Keegan was looking at big programs. They were looking to add her to their teams. She would have been at another school if the accident did not happen. She was really enjoying life at Weston.
Gwen never even thought about attending a different school. A couple in state schools recruited her, but she was going to Weston. Keegan got up and moved to sit in the chase with Gwen. Gwen moved her feet and spread her legs for Keegan to sit in front of her. Keegan sat down and Gwen wrapped an arm around her waist.
"Hi." Gwen said as she kissed her neck. "You're wet." The words were out of her mouth. Rose started to laugh.
"Yes, I am." Keegan leaned back on her. She touched her wet foot on Gwen's leg. "What are you ladies carrying on about over here? Please tell me they are not talking soccer."
"No." Gwen pinched her side. "We are talking about school."
"Gwen is going into nursing. What are you here for?" Rose asked. "Please do not say to play soccer."
"That's a benefit of school, but I am going into physical therapy." Keegan told her.
"Because of the accident?"
"It was a thought before. I think the accident and the therapy afterwards made me decide. Plus my therapist was hot." Gwen tugged at a piece of her hair. "She was."
"What accident?" One of the girls sitting next to her asked. Keegan rolled her short up so that the scar could be seen.
"Ewww. What happen?" Rose leaned closer to get a better look.
"Car wreck. Compound fracture. Bone through the skin. Surgery. " Keegan ran her finger down the ugly jagged red mark. "A plate and screws holding everything together"
"How long ago did you do that." Rose asked.
"A year ago at Thanksgiving." Keegan was feeling comfortable about talking the accident.
"Should you be playing?" Gwen asked innocently. Rose and Gwen waited patiently for the answer.
"I am released. There is a possibility of breaking it again. The full contact is what will be the true test." Keegan looked at her teammates. "I am released to play. The university trainers have cleared me to play. My doctor is good with it." Keegan looked at Gwen face. "Really, if I am hurting, I will tell Curtis. I should be fine on the field. My parents and I had many discussions regarding me playing soccer again. The decision came down to how well everything healed. I worked way to hard not to give it a shot." Keegan stood up. "You have seen me run. I will not get hurt."
"You better not." Rose scolded. Gwen looked up at her. There was sadness in her eyes. Keegan offered her a hand up.
"Come with me." Keegan helped Gwen to her feet. "We will be back in a bit." They walked through the party holding hands. Janet waved to them.
"Are you leaving?" She asked.
"No, we will be right back." Gwen said as they walked into the house. Rabbit was in the house with Carol, a defender on the soccer team.
"Gwen and Keegan." Carol said as she saw the pair holding hands. Carol was a sophomore. Although Carol was nice, her moods seem to depend on if AJ was around. Keegan only knew of Carol because Gwen had mentioned her in passing. Keegan was surprised that the girl knew her name.
"Wow that did not take you long." Carol's comment was directed to Gwen. "No wonder AJ was acting like a fool."
"This is the chick that AJ was with the night she tried to buy me a beer!" Keegan recognized the teammate. Carol seemed taken back by the comment.
"Carol, you and I both know that you have been sleeping with AJ for the last couple of months." Rabbit started to laugh. "It took me a long time to realize what a fool I have been. I hope you and AJ will be happy."
"Shut up Rabbit. You slept with AJ too."
"Who hasn't?" Rabbit said. Rabbit looked at Gwen after the words came out of her mouth. "Oh G I am sorry."
"It's fine Shannon. I am okay." She held on to Keegan hand. "I am better than okay." Rabbit came over and gave Gwen a hug.
Keegan felt bad for Gwen at that moment. AJ had been cheating on her with everyone on campus. "We will be right back." Gwen led the way towards Shannon's bedroom. Once the door was shut, Gwen broke down into tears. Keegan sat down next to her. Wrapping her arms around Gwen waist, Keegan tried to comfort her.
"I am such a fool. I am a joke around here. She's been playing me for the last two years. It hurts. I want nothing to do with Allison James ever again." She wiped away her tears. She let out a nervous laugh. "Thank you."
"For what?" Keegan asked confused by the gratitude.
"For caring." She kissed Keegan's cheek. "Let's get out of here." Gwen tried to wipe her makeup clean. "I must look a mess."
"You're a little runny." Keegan wiped at the mascara that had run. "Go to the bathroom and get cleaned up. I'll tell Janet that we are heading back." Keegan gave her a quick kiss in the hallway.
As she left the house, AJ was walking in. "Awe fuck." Keegan said as AJ blocked her path.
"I've been looking for you." AJ said with a smug smile on her face. She did not hesitate as she punched Keegan right in the nose. Knocking her back off her feet. Blood went flying and somebody screamed. Keegan's hand went to her nose as the blood spilled from it. Keegan scrambled to her feet. She ran full speed at AJ. There was blood coming from her nose but she did not care. She was tired of AJ attacking her. She lowered her shoulder and knocked AJ to the ground. From behind her she heard someone scream. AJ was on her back with Keegan flayed on top of her. Keegan and AJ wrestled in the grass behind Rabbit's house. Keegan pinned AJ and pulled her arm behind her back. AJ struggled against her grasp. The more AJ struggled the further back Keegan pulled her arm. Keegan got to her feet as she pulled AJ to her feet.
"I'll fuckin' break it!" Keegan yelled at the senior. AJ let out a scream.
"Don't!" AJ screamed as Keegan pulled her arm. Keegan tasted the blood. She let go of AJ to tend to her nose. From the house, Gwen and Shannon came running out. The group at the pool had gathered to witness the fight.
AJ looked up just in time to see, Gwen coming at her. She pushed AJ back with such force AJ lost her footing and went down with a thud.
"That's it! I am so tired of you and your double standards!" Gwen screamed at her. "It's over! No matter how many times you attack Keegan. It's over, Allison!" AJ looked around at the party. Gwen looked at the crowd. "I am tired of your shit. I am sure these people are too."
"So you are with her?"
"Yes, I've told you that. You just don't seem to get it."
"What about us?"
"Us? There hasn't been an us in a long time. It was always me, you and whoever else you were sleeping with. "
"So you're sleeping with her too?"
"There is no too! What the fuck? Why do you try to do this? I am with Keegan and it's been awesome. I can't get enough of her. I'd go down on her right now if she wanted me too." There was a rumble of laughter from the crowd. Keegan felt her cheeks flush. Rabbit nudged her in the side.
"Keegan and I are together. You and I have nothing!" Gwen knew that would get to AJ. Her ego could not handle that type of criticism. Keegan was standing at Gwen side. AJ looked at the pair.
"You are pathetic." AJ said as she got to her feet. "You're dumping me for this little shrimp."
"Wrong, I dumped you." Gwen reached over and grabbed Keegan's hand. She gave AJ her full attention. "I should have dumped you last year when you were sleeping with Shannon and Andrea." Keegan looked at Rabbit whose face turned beat red. "Or this summer when Carol came into the picture. You're a cheater and a liar. The only person you care about is you."
"You sure as shit should of." Andrea, the red head that Janet was standing next to piped up. "Good for you G."
"AJ you need to leave. You are not welcome here." Shannon stepped forward and asked AJ to remove herself.
"Fuck off I live here." AJ said knowing full well that she had moved out of the house at the end of the semester.
"You don't live here anymore. You need to go." Rabbit checked with the roommates that had gathered close to the conversation. "You need to cut this bull shit out and grow up. "
"I can't believe that you are turning your back on me." AJ stammered. She looked at Keegan." You are the one that stared all of this. " Keegan was pressing a towel to her nose.
"You started all of this." Keegan answered. "Don't blame me. It seems like it was a long time coming."
"You don't know anything." AJ shot back. She lunged at Keegan. Gwen stepped between the two women.
"You and I are done. You are no longer welcome. Take what respect you have left and leave. " Gwen did not back away from AJ. She stood her ground. From the look on AJ face and the witnesses, Gwen had reached a new plateau. "This is over."
Gwen turned her back on AJ. She focused on Keegan. Her hand gently touched Keegan's face. She kissed her on the mouth.
"Go for it G!" A couple of people yelled out. Keegan pulled her closer and kissed her back. Her nose hurt and was probably busted. She really did not care. She was proud of Gwen.
"I am willing to take you up on that offer." Keegan teased Gwen as she touched her.
"Do you want to go to the hospital?" Gwen asked her. Keegan shook her head. Her nose was still bleeding as she lifted the wet towel from her nose.
"No, I really hate hospitals."
"Right now I really hate Allison James." Gwen said as she touched her cheek. Gwen walked with Keegan into the kitchen. Keegan took a seat at the table. She titled her head back. Shannon handed Keegan a bag of ice.
"Put that on the bridge of your nose." Shannon instructed. Keegan closed her eyes as she felt the blood pumping in her nose. Gwen paced back and forth in the kitchen. Keegan watched her. Gwen nervously chewed on the fingernail. Gwen looked up and saw Keegan watching her.
"I am really sorry."
"What are you sorry about?" Keegan asked
"I feel like this is my fault,"
"Come here. None of this is your fault. " Keegan said as she took a hold of Gwen's hand. She brought Gwen to a sitting position in her lap. Gwen laughed. Keegan did not want to say anything about AJ at this time or point. She knew in the back of her mind that she and AJ would not leave them alone. She squeezed Gwen's hand. "I think its stopped bleeding." Keegan pulled the ice pack off. "I don't think my modeling career will be effected." She joked.
"Modeling career don't you think you are a bit short to be a model?"
"That is not necessarily true." Keegan wrapped her arms around Gwen waist. "I could be a model. Are you ready to go?"
"You cause all of this excitement and you are leaving?" Rabbit said as she handed a damp towel to Keegan.
"I am not sure about you, Rabbit. But I was given an offer in the yard that I would really like to take advantage of. " Keegan teased Gwen with a kiss behind her ear.
"You are bad."
"No I am good. You told me that this morning."
"T.M.I..T.M.I...." Rabbit covered her ears. "Stay for a bit. Get something to eat. " Gwen wiggled her bottom on Keegan thighs.
"You are not playing fair."
"As if you are?" Gwen said as she got to her feet. "We can stay besides, we have all night and tomorrow before practice starts."
"Let me go to the bathroom and clean up." Keegan said as she headed down the hallway to the bathroom. She flipped on the light and faucet. She let the water warm up a bit. She splashed the water on her face as she cleaned the blood smear off her nostrils. She cupped her hands under the running water and brought the liquid to her face. As she looked at her reflection in the mirror. She wondered about the team. Being at odds with AJ would create a lot of drama on the field. She silently hoped that this would not be the case. She smiled as she could see a dark bruise on her shoulder. She knew that Gwen had put the hickey there late last night. Since she returned from Upper Peninsula, she could not get enough of the girl. As she stood in the bathroom thinking about Gwen, she could feel her body reacting to just the thought.
"Hey. Did I lose you?" Gwen said as she knocked on the door.
"No." Keegan opened the door. " How do I look?" Gwen checked over her face.
"Almost good as new."
"Almost?" Keegan looked at her reflection. From behind Gwen wrapped her arms around Keegan waist. She rested her chin on Keegan shoulder and placed a kiss on her neck.
"Now that is much better." Gwen said she gazed at their reflection in the mirror. Keegan felt her words catch in her throat. Gwen was glowing. Her own happiness was evident in the mirror's reflection. She knew she was falling in love with Gwen. The realization made her look away. Guarding her feelings for Gwen, she wanted to keep any thoughts of love at an arm length. She wasn't ready to have those feelings. Her need to protect herself from pain was much greater than the need to express her feelings. Keegan turned to face Gwen. She heard Gwen catch her breath as Keegan pulled her hips against her own. Gwen pushed her up against the vanity as she brought a hard passionate kiss to her lips. She felt Keegan urgency as their kiss increased. Gwen moved her hips against Keegan's. They continued to kiss and move together. Gwen moaned loudly as Keegan began to kiss her throat.
"Hey! Dailey is looking for you guys! You better not be doing what I think you are!" Rabbit pounded on the bathroom door. They started to laugh. Keegan kissed Gwen softly on the lips.
"I think we are busted again." Keegan smiled up at Gwen. "Either we need to leave or between Rabbit and the cops we are always getting caught with our pants down."
"My pants are on!" Gwen defended herself.
"Hopefully not for long!" Keegan teased. "Maybe I can get the handcuff off of Officer Keller." Gwen pinched her arm. "Ouch."
"I don't find your humor funny."
"You are cute when you are mad."
