John was a pretty normal guy. At 35, he was about 6'0", and carried about 220 pounds of muscle and flab. A weekend athlete who enjoyed tennis, he made a decent living, held a good job, as well was well educated. As a gay man living in a small town, there wasn't a whole lot to do. There wasn't much of a dating pool, so he wasn't exactly running to the gym to stay in shape even though he knew he should. One weekend he was surfing on the internet and came across a website offering to connect folks with prisoners. Upon seeing this, his heart went out as he thought about all the gay men in prison that didn't have anyone to talk to about their lives. Sure, he had a little bit of a prison fantasy going through his mind, but it was definitely not why he chose to write. After looking through the listings he found a few different folks to write to. After sending about 10 letters, John received 4 responses within the first month. He thought that was pretty cool. The guys were from all over and ranged in age from 25 to 40, all behind bars for things like assault or drug violations. Most of the conversations based around the fact the guys were lonely and looking for someone to be supportive out in the real world. They talked about how they've changed and just want to find someone to help keep them on the right path. However, one was definitely not like the others. The letters to Buck started out innocent enough. He mentioned how he wasn't able to talk to anyone about being gay because the prison he was in was so homophobic. He'd seen prisoners get raped, beaten, even assaulted by the guards if someone even thought they were gay. He talked about wanting to find the right guy for him. John's heart went out to Buck. He thought about how hard it must be to live in that environment and started getting more and more personal in his letters. About 3 months into exchanging letters, Buck's communication style seemed to change. What began as discussion about his feelings became much more erotic and sexually charged. Buck would discuss how he wanted John, specifically to pound his ass hard and cum inside him. He also said that he dreamt about him at night and would call out his name while he jacked off in his cell. They'd exchanged pictures previously, so Buck said that he hung John's pictures up on the wall and kissed them nightly. Buck also started telling John how hot he would look with certain tattoos, if he'd gained more weight and muscle, as well as if he smoked cigars. John thought all of this was really odd, but he played along. John put it all in perspective and got caught up in the fantasy of the situation, assuming that Buck was doing the same. A few more months into the exchange, Buck gave John a nickname - Tank. John loved the nickname. Being the "regular guy" he was, John jumped in whole heartedly into the conversations. He talked to Buck about how much he wished he could just change his life and become Tank. However, John knew that wasn't going to happen. It was all for fun and great way to relieve stress. While Buck and John continued their communication, John found himself in a situation where he needed to get a roommate to help with the bills. While he had a good job, his rent went up and the bills were just starting to make it tough to maintain his lifestyle. John thought it would be worth it to sublease the small room in his 2 bedroom condo and save some money, not to mention it would be great to have someone else around to spend the time with. Sure, he enjoyed the company provided by the letters from Buck, but he was still physically lonely. After posting a roommate ad on the net and in the local newspaper, it wasn't long before John had some bites. He set up interviews with 3 different guys and one in particular caught his attention. Dominic - or Dom as he liked to be called - seemed like the perfect match. He was about 6'4", 250 solid and early 30s, with distinctly Italian features. He had a bit of a wild streak, which really drew John in. He thought it would be awesome to have such a cool roommate and hoped he could learn some things from him that would help him socially. However, Dom wasn't exactly open about his past. If anything, John was concerned because Dom would often say he was just trying to move on and needed a change in order to become a better man. Just had he had done with Buck, John's heart went out to Dom and he thought they could be good for one another. After Dom moved in, John wasn't as communicative with Buck. Buck would send letters that wouldn't get responded to for a month or so at a time. John felt guilty, but he was really enjoying spending more time with Dom. Dom wasn't gay, but he was very comfortable with John's sexuality. Dom said that he had lots of gay friends in the past and it wasn't a big deal to him. John would write Buck telling him about the cool things that he and Dom were doing. It was clear to Buck that Dom and John were becoming fast friends. John and Dom spent a lot of downtime together. Dom and his friends took John under their wing. Being a blue collar guy, Dom and his friends were mostly construction workers. They loved hanging out at the local biker bar. Many of the guys had tattoos and wore leather vests and drove Harleys. On one night in particular, Dom and John were getting ready to go out and Dom offered John the chance to wear one of his leather vests. John loved the feeling of the leather and Dom and his friends told him how great he looked in it. So good in fact, he and Dom went out later that week to get John one of his own. He was so jazzed about it that he wrote Buck about it. Dom and his friends were also heavily tattooed. John had always been a bit of a weenie and never really thought about getting a tattoo. However, Dom recommended that they at least go to a shop where he knew one of the artists and John could see what it's all about. While Dom got a new tattoo, John walked around and said he just couldn't do it. Dom picked out a couple nautical stars and told John they would look hot on his shoulders. John thought about it and considering they would be hidden during the day, he'd go for it. So after an hour or so of pain, John had two nautical stars on his shoulders. From that point on, John thought again and again about getting more tattoos. John was so excited about it that he wrote a letter to Buck letting him know how excited he was. John was feeling much more comfortable around Dom and his friends. He felt awesome going out wearing his leather vest and showing off the stars on his shoulders. Over the next few months, he even got a few more tattoos on his upper arms and started sporting a light beard like Dom. Dom even talked him into trying a short cropped flat top as an experiment. John really loved the look and he felt awesome. Sure people at work started commenting that he was really changing, but it was just physical. It didn't change his work performance or anything. Again, he wrote to Buck telling him how awesome he felt and even sent in a few pictures of the changes. However, Buck didn't write back. John assumed that Buck must be upset at the fact he hadn't been as consistent with his communication. He kept writing saying, "hope to hear back from you soon". Dom came back from the gym one afternoon and told John that he should start going with him. John thought about it for a while and realized it would be awesome if they could work out together. It would be great motivation. After a few months, John could see a big difference from all the weightlifting. His shoulders were getting broader and his chest and legs were a lot tighter and larger. He worked hard. Just keeping up with Dom was challenge enough. He sent new pictures to Buck, but again didn't hear back from him. John was at home a few weeks later and heard a motorcycle pull up. He popped outside to see that Dom bought a Harley. John was so excited because he'd never ridden a motorcycle, just looked at them at the bar where most of Dom's friends had them. Dom surprised John with his own helmet and shortly thereafter, the two of them rode off to the gym for a workout. When they got back, he immediately wrote a letter to Buck telling him how awesome the experience was. John was so happy about his decision to bring Dom into his life. He was doing so many things that he'd only thought about doing. His confidence was up as he started to fill out. The boring out of shape guy was now a regular at the biker bar, riding on his roommate's Harley, beefing up and getting tatted up. He also looked significantly different with his light beard and flat top. However, he didn't care. He was happy with who he was and really started owning it. It had been about a year since Dom moved in and about a year and a half since he'd started writing to Buck. It was time to renew his lease and when John approached Dom to talk about it, Dom let him know that he wouldn't be able to. He'd taken a new job that was going to relocate him. John was crushed. He was upset not only because it meant Dom was leaving, but that Dom never even told him he was looking to leave. However, he was a trooper and wanted to see that his friend was happy. Dom also said that he was going to sell his Harley so he could get the money to move. John thought about buying it, but he knew there was no way he could afford it, especially if he didn't have a roommate. To make it up to him, Dom said he wanted to take John out for a wild night. He could see that John was upset about all this sudden change, but at the same time knew he would be OK in the long run. That evening, Dom and John went to the bar. All the friends at the bar already knew that Dom was leaving in a few weeks. John was frustrated knowing that everyone knew but him, so he just drank and drank while Dom celebrated with his friends. It was clear that his inhibitions were loose. One of Dom's friends lit up a cigar. John was drawn to it like a moth to a flame. He asked him if he had another one. Dom looked at him like he was on crack, but then helped him light it and told him how awesome he looked smoking it. Putting the full look together, in leather with the tattoos, facial hair, flat top - John really looked like a biker and he was loving it. Dom took some pictures with his cell phone, even though John had no idea. John was drunk and high from the nicotine in his system from smoking several cigars that night. As they were leaving the bar, Dom suggested that they go by the tattoo shop and get one last tattoo together. Through his drunken haze, John saw Dom talking to the artist and gave him a drawing. After taking a nap for a while, John was sober enough to have the tattoo done. He trusted Dom so much that he let him pick out the tattoo and where it would go. The artist got to work on John's left pec. By the time the artist was done, all John could think about was going to bed. He wasn't even in a hurry to see what the final product was. All he wanted to do was get home and crash. The next day was rough for John. He woke up with a huge hangover and cotton mouth. John went downstairs to see what Dom was up to and heard nothing. The door to his room was open and everything was gone. He ran outside and Dom's Harley was also gone. Dom had basically just up and left while John was passed out. John was livid. Not only was he upset because Dom took off, but he was left there all alone not even having the opportunity to say goodbye to someone who had helped him so much. It was like his heart had been ripped right out of him. It was at that point he remembered about the tattoo. He took off the gauze and uncovered a tank. He had a tank over his heart. John all of a sudden freaked out. How did Dom know about Tank? Did he talk about it in his drunken stupor? Dazed and confused, John had a craving. He realizing how much he loved smoking the cigars last night and all this frustration made him want another one right away. Unfortunately, he didn't have any on hand. Still in his leather from last night, he stumbled over to grab his keys and head toward the door. At that very moment, he heard the loud rumbling of a Harley. It sounded very familiar - like Dom's Harley. He ran to the door to find a man stepping off the Harley and coming toward the door. It definitely wasn't Dom, but the guy opened the helmet's visor and began to speak, "I heard you might be looking for a new roommate." Confused, John said, "What? My roommate just bolted out on me today. How did you know?" The strange man reached into his leather jacket pocket and pulled out two cigars, then said, "Let's just say that I've heard a lot about what's been going on here over the past year. How about we sit down, smoke these and get reacquainted, Tank?" Flabbergasted, John blurted, "Buck?!?" After taking off the helmet and setting it on his bike, Buck lit one of the cigars, and held it in his mouth while removing his riding jacket.

Underneath, he was wearing only a leather vest. He had massive shoulders, just like Dom. He was heavily tattooed, just like Dom. He looked just like the pictures he'd shared in the letters. All John could say is, "Buck, you are amazing. You are so fucking hot!" In response, Buck removed the cigar from his mouth, blowing smoke in John's face, then said, "And thanks to my old cellmate Dom, you're now my dream boy, Tank." Buck then stuck the cigar in John's mouth then raised his arms to reveal two nautical stars on his wrists. "I had Dom encourage you to get those stars to remind me where I need to put my arms while I'm pounding your ass. Tank, my boy, you are mine!" From that point on, Buck and Tank lived together in leather and cigar bliss. Tank quit his job, cashed in his 401K and he and Buck bought the biker bar. Tank still rode along with Buck to the gym and to work every night. As word spread, it became the best gay biker bar in the area.
