Lara's Story
Part Four
By Chris
Lara's lips were mere inches from her lips when she heard a loud booming voice say, "I thought I was the only one who could beat the shit out of you like that!"
Gena looked over to see Mary walking toward them. Lara had a disappointed look on her face as she looked over at the big solidly built woman. Gena gently pushed Lara up so that she could sit up with Lara's ass resting lightly on her lower thighs. "I don't remember you ever beating the shit out of me, you're too fat and slow, you stupid whore." Gena said and when Lara gave her a confused look, Gena winked at her making Lara grin.
"I may be fat, slow, and stupid but I'm no whore!" Mary said with a big laugh.
Gena laughed, "How you doing this morning Mary?"
"Better than you, I didn't just get the shit kicked out of me." Mary said as she hauled herself up the steps and leaned against the ropes.
"She let me do that." Lara said in Gena's defense.
"That's not how I saw it or how I will tell it to all of the deputies when they come in." Mary said with a laugh.
"They all know you have been known to stretch the truth from time to time." Gena told her.
Mary laughed, "True... So who's your friend there?"
"Oh sorry, Mary this is Lara, and Lara this is Mary who used to be a heavyweight champion." Gena told Lara.
"Really a champion?" Lara asked with her eyes lighting up with excitement and wonder.
"Yea but that was a few years ago, now I am just a heavyweight." Mary said with a laugh. "Come here and let me get a look at you girl." Mary told Lara.
Lara looked at Gena who nodded at her then she got up, and then helped Gena up before going over to where Mary was standing. Mary held out her big arms, engulfing poor Lara in a big bear hug. Mary gave Gena a wink as if to say that she had a pretty one here. Gena wasn't sure if she should correct Mary but she was grateful to her for stopping something before it started.
"Did you know Gena at the orphanage?" Lara asked when Mary finally released her.
"Oh yes, I was one of the older girls when Gena got there." Mary told her.
"Cool, you know any stories about her?" Lara asked as she looked back at Gena with a big grin on her face.
"Oh I know a bunch of them, she was a wild one when she got there and feisty one too, she didn't take shit off anyone... except me of course." Mary told her.
"Of course... will you tell me some of the stories about her?" Lara asked her.
"Sure, come with me and let's get those gloves off of you and get you something cold to drink." Mary said holding the ropes open so that Lara could get out of the ring. They then went down the steps leaving Gena standing there.
"Hey what about me?" Gena asked.
"Oh sorry," Lara said as she ran back to hold the ropes open for Gena.
"Now don't believe everything Mary tells you, she's been known to lie." Gena said loud enough for Mary to hear and Mary just laughed at that comment.
When they got back to Mary's office, Gena said to Mary, "You gave Lara a hug, where's my hug?"
Mary didn't even blink as she went over to Gena, even though it wasn't something that they did when they saw each other. Gena had been friends with Mary for a long time and trusted her to play along and she did. Mary just laughed as she said, "Here's your hug, my dear." Then she gave her a big hug and Gena positioned her head away from Lara.
"Don't ask Lara any personal questions; let her tell you what she wants to tell you. Just talk about me." Gena whispered to her.
Mary then released Gena and gave her a smile so Gena knew that Mary would play along. "So you want to know about my mischievous friend."
"Yea, she told me some stories but I know there's got to be lots more." Lara said with a smile.
"Oh there're lots of them," Mary said with a laugh as she went and got them some cold water to drink. Then they all sat in Mary's office for the next hour or so as Mary told one story after another about Gena and then some about other girls at the orphanage. She even told a few about herself as she wasn't one who too herself too seriously and that kept them laughing hard as they talked.
When they left there, they went back to Gena's house to take a shower before taking off to Monroe to go to the theater. The one they had decided to go to was one of the newer ones with soft cushioned chairs that rocked. This Gena loved and it excited Lara to sit back in the seat and rock as they talked before the movie came on. Lara forgot all about Gena at that point as she got lost in the fantasy of the movie. Gena found that she would glance over at Lara and see all of her emotions showing on her face when most of the time she hid those emotions from everyone however when it was just the two of them, she was seeing that Lara was letting her guard down.
After the movie, they headed back toward home. Gena had promised to make Lara her pizza and Lara reminded her of that as soon as they got out of the theater. Gena made one stop on the way home to pick up a couple of items at the store.
"So what do we do first?" Lara asked after they deposited the few items that Gena got on the kitchen counter.
"First we go get out of these clothes and put something more comfortable on," Gena told her.
"Do you ever wear clothes around the house?" Lara asked which made Gena give her a look.
Lara looked back at her with a questioning look then she giggled, "I mean, wear your regular clothes around the house, you always go and put on a gown as soon as you get home."
"Well most of the time I'm in my uniform when I come home with all that equipment on it, so I want to get out of that and into something more comfortable so I put on a gown, a thick warm one during the winter and a soft airy one during the summer. I guess I have gotten into the habit so I do it even when I'm not coming home from work. It is just a lot more comfortable to walk around the house in a gown. Does it bother you?" Gena asked.
"Oh no, I'm beginning to like it too. It's just something new to me." Lara said.
"Well let's go find something more comfortable to put on then let's get that pizza going." Lara told her, heading back toward the bedrooms.
Gena pulled off her top, jeans, and then her bra, immediately feeling better without the damn bra on. She started to put on one of her longer gowns on when she realized that it was still warm in the house as the air conditioner struggled to keep up with the late afternoon heat. She put it back down, going to her dresser, pulling out a shorter gown that came down to mid thigh. She slipped it on then she thought about Lara as she had just given her some of her long gowns to wear when she had gotten there. She pulled another of her gowns out, carrying it with her.
Seeing Lara's bedroom door open, she started on into the door saying, "I thought that you might want..." Gena found that she was looking at Lara's bare back with only Lara's low cut panties covering her ass. "...a shorter and cooler gown." Gena finished her sentence never taking her eyes off of Lara's smooth back and the curve of her hips to the cute ass cover in only those thin nylon light blue panties.
"Oh that would be great." Lara said softly then she slowly turned around leaving her arms to her side. Gena's eyes were drawn to Lara's light colored areoles and small nipples that appeared to harden as she looked at them. Gena could feel her own nipples tighten as she watched Lara come to her, taking the gown from Gena's hand.
"Thank you," Lara said softly. She then took a step back bringing the gown up over her head causing her chest to stick out. Gena knew she should have turned and walked out of the room immediately but she didn't, instead she was watching Lara put her gown on which seemed so erotic to Gena even though she didn't think Lara meant it to be or maybe she did... Gena was not so sure now as the gown covered Lara's breasts thus breaking the spell that Lara had her in.
"Let's go make that pizza," Lara said as she walked past Gena heading toward the kitchen and leaving Gena standing there.
Gena found that even after Lara had left the room; she was still standing there thinking about Lara and her lovely body. Her nipples were still hard and there were just the beginnings of moisture in her pussy. She shook her head clearing it of the thought going through her head, she knew her only hope was that the DEA would move Lara soon so that the feelings that she was having would pass and she could get back to her old life which was a lonely life but one she was familiar with and comfortable living.
When Gena got to the kitchen, Lara had the items that they had bought sitting out on the counter, she then turned to face Gena saying, "So what do we do first?"
Gena noticed that while the gown was thick enough that Lara's nipples could not be seen, however it was thin enough to see that Lara's nipples were still hard.
Gena swallowed hard before saying, "Well first we got to make the dough which can be missy or at least I get messy doing it."
"Cool, I love getting messy when I cook, makes it more fun," Lara said with a giggle.
"Then let's become two messy girls." Gena said with a laugh.
Lara giggled at that remark and she had a big grin on her face. Gena got out the other things that they would need then she began to show Lara how to make the dough. She did forgo spinning the dough like they do in some pizza places though Lara tried hard to get her to try. Gena knew her limitations and that was one thing she didn't want to try as it would have ended up on the floor. Once she had the dough down on the pizza pan, she began to mix up the sauce which she noted that Lara was paying particular attention to what spices that she added. She could tell that Lara was surprised when she added a couple of them. This she told Lara was the secret and if she ever told anyone, she would have to kill her. As soon as she had said that she was afraid that Lara would take it the wrong way but Lara just laughed and crossed her heart promising never to tell which made Gena feel a lot better.
Once everything was added to the sauce, she let Lara finish as she cut up everything they wanted as the toppings. Once that was done, she had Lara put the sauce on and she added some cheese. Then came the toppings followed by more cheese as Gena said she loved lots of cheese on her pizza. Lara then put the pizza into the preheated oven and they sat at the kitchen table as they waited for the pizza to cook. However every couple of minutes, Lara had to get up to go look through the window of the oven to check on the progress. And every time she did so she would bend over instead of squatting which raised the back of Lara's gown to her upper thighs. Gena kept finding herself wanting Lara to bend over further or wishing she had given Lara a slightly shorter gown. After numerous checks, Lara decided it was time for Gena to check so she did and she made Lara wait a couple more minutes before declaring the pizza done and ready to be pulled out. Lara insisted on taking the pizza out placing it on some towels that Gena had placed on the counter. The cheese was bubbling and the aroma of the pizza and its spices filled the kitchen making them both hungry.
Gena went to the living room, putting some towels down on her old coffee table as Lara got them some cold drinks. Gena then went back bringing in the pizza that Lara had sliced. Gena put a movie on for them the watch as the pizza cooled a little. Lara then got them both a piece out putting it on their plates. Gena watched as Lara blew on her piece before she took a bit.
"So how is it?" Gena asked waiting on Lara before trying a bite.
"Oh god, it is the best pizza I have ever eaten." Lara blushed out as she took a sip of her Mountain Dew then took another bite of her hot pizza.
"Thank you but you deserve some of the credit, you helped." Gena told her.
"That is sweet of you to say but this is all your doing. You're now the official pizza maker around here." Lara said with a giggle before taking another bite.
"Well I'll try to keep you full of pizza." Gena said with a laugh.
"That'll be hard; I love pizza and can eat a lot of it." Lara said with a laugh.
"Well you got plenty to eat tonight." Gena said and about that time the movie came on so she lost Lara's attention to the movie.
Lara did eat several pieces of pizza as the movie played and Gena ate more than she had intended but the pizza was good if she had to say so herself. Once the movie was over and the rest of the pizza was put away, they both went to bed. Gena lay there wondering what the new week would bring and she wondered if Lara was doing the same. Even though Lara's father and brothers were dead, there were still lots of people to be tried and lots of information that was still needed from Lara.
Gena wasn't sure what to do with Lara on Monday morning so she took her into the station. She didn't have to be there until eight but she was usually there by a little after seven. This morning, it was more like seven-thirty as Lara insisted that they eat a good breakfast that she had done by the time that Gena had gotten to the kitchen for her coffee. So they ate before getting their showers in and taking off for work.
When they arrived at the station, they found Agent Stone waiting for them. "We need Lara at the office in Monroe this week."
Lara gave Gena this scared look so Gena asked, "Will she be able to come back here during the evenings?"
"I don't know, we are stretched thin with all the investigations that we have going on right now. It might be easier just to put her up in a hotel by the office," Agent Stone told them.
Again Lara gave Gena this fearful look that Gena couldn't resist. She hated that she had gotten involved in all of this but she was and she couldn't stop now. Yet she knew that she was in too deep now. She had come to Lara's rescue too many times now and she couldn't stop until she was sent away where she could no longer help her. "What if I come and pick her up and deliver her back to you the next morning?" Gena asked.
Agent Stone seemed to go into deep thought as he went back onto his heels, Gena didn't figure that he would go with that but she had to ask for Lara's sake. "I guess we can do that, but she needs to be there by eight every morning and I'm not sure when we will be through with her in the evenings. It just depends on how much she can remember and how much more information she can give us," He said.
"Oh we'll be done by five every day. I will work harder than you all will," Lara said with a big smile on her face. "Come on and let's get out of here so Gena can do her work and we can get started." Lara told Agent Stone as she headed toward the front doors.
"Don't be too hard on her or work her too hard, she has been through enough in her life. More than you can imagine." Gena cautioned Agent Stone.
"I know she has, I was hard on her that first day, but I didn't realize just what a find she was. We need her more than she needs us and we will treat her that way. And we'll try our best to let her go by the time you get there to pick her up. The people we are after aren't going anywhere, they can wait in jail for a while, and it'll get them used to what they are facing for a long time to come." He told her.
"Come on; let's get this started, the sooner we get there, the sooner I can go home." Lara called out to them.
"I think you have been given your orders, you had better obey or you will hear about it all the way to Monroe." Gena said with a smile as she nodded her head toward Lara.
"I believe that I have; have a good day," Agent Stone said as he turned sharply and hurried toward Lara.
Gena stood there a moment watching them leave and as Lara went through the door, she turned and waved to Gena giving her a big smile. Gena waved back giving her a smile in return. She then turned and headed toward her desk, glad to be back into her normal routine. It took her an hour or so to get caught back up with what had happened the past week. Luckily it had been a quiet week but then again, Lara had caused their small department more than enough excitement to last for a few years. This was a quiet rural county and everybody in the county liked it that way. They had their problems with drugs and drunks but it wasn't like what cities like Monroe faced and they worked hard to keep it that way. She got to talk with all of the deputies that she supervised before they went out on their patrols. She then sat down and caught up with the paperwork that keeps everything running properly. That was the only thing that she hated about taking the job she had but she was good at it and could get it done quicker than anyone else which was also a reason she was promoted, that and she had earned the respect of the other deputies.
Lara called her around noon to tell her that everything was going well and they said that she would be able to leave around five or so. Gena didn't get off until five so she told Lara that she may have to wait on her to get there. Lara assured her that was fine as long as she was getting to come home and not have to stay in a motel room by herself or with some strange DEA agent guarding her.
"So how did it go today?" Gena asked as Lara got into her car.
"Boring!" Lara said with a sigh.
"Why is that? Did they ask you lots of questions?" Gena asked putting the car into gear and pulling out.
"Yea they did but it was mostly going over things that we went over last week. There was a lawyer from the state asking about those cops with them and I had to keep going over that," Lara said with some frustration in her voice.
"Honey, they are just doing their job. One day they will have to go to trial and they need to make sure that they have all their T's crossed and have their I's dotted. They don't want them to get off because they didn't do their homework and their homework is you. You're the one who knows more about what happened in that house than anyone else. You'll just have to be patient with them. Remember they hold the keys to your freedom," Gena cautioned her.
"I know and I am being patient but I can't tell them what I don't know. I mean I just did some of their runs and I didn't do all of them, I was just a sub driver. I did sneak around a lot at night but I didn't see a lot and to tell you the truth, I didn't know really what they were doing. I just did the books but even that didn't mean a lot to be." Lara told her.
"They know you don't know everything, they just want to know everything that you do know, and sometimes the more you go over something, the more that you remember," Gena told her.
"Yea," Lara said with a sigh.
"So did they ask you about what was in your father's computer and papers?" Gena asked just being curious.
"They asked me some but I think they understood more about what was in there than I did. I really couldn't help them there." Lara told her. "Do you think they will be mad at me because of that?"
"No I don't think so, you've told them from the very beginning that your knowledge of what was happening was very limited, you weren't in their inner circle so you are cool there." Gena told her.
"Can we talk about your day?" Lara suggested.
"Sure but I had a boring day I'm afraid, I didn't pull over any pretty girls transporting a car full of drugs." Gena said then she realized that she had just pretty much told Lara that she thought that she was pretty. She hoped that Lara didn't catch that but when she glanced over at her she saw Lara blushing.
"So what do you do most days?' Lara asked giving Gena a big smile.
Gena spent the rest of the trip home telling Lara what her job entailed. She tried not to make it too boring but Lara didn't seem to mind, as long as she wasn't having to answer questions then she was satisfied with whatever Gena was telling her. When they arrived home, Lara insisted on making them a light supper as Gena took a shower and slipped into her gown. They ate and then Lara went to take her shower as Gena cleaned up the kitchen.
Gena was sitting on the couch watching a bit of TV when Lara came in from her shower. Gena was hoping that Lara would go for a longer gown but she put the short one she had on the evening before. Gena felt her heart skip a beat as she watched Lara walk into the room and sit down on the couch. Lara turned to face Gena putting her left leg up on the couch up against the back of the couch as she sat on her right foot. This of course opened up the gown and Gena got a prefect view of Lara's panty covered pussy. Gena found it hard to swallow as she looked down for a moment and when she looked back up at Lara's face she found her smiling shyly at her.
"You know we'll have to go to bed early tonight, as we have to get up early in the morning to get you to the DEA office." Gena finally said not knowing what else to say.
"Yea I know..." Lara said, "Do you mind having to do drop me off and coming to pick me up? I just..."
Gena put her hand on Lara's knee when she couldn't finish her sentence, "It's okay, I don't mind at all. I don't like spending night in motel rooms by myself. That isn't fun at all and I can never go to sleep, so I really understand, I really do."
Lara put her hand on top of Gena's as she said, "I really do appreciate it. I don't know what I would have done without you, I really don't..."
Gena saw that tears were forming in Lara's eyes so she slid over to her, putting her arms around her shoulders and pulling her in close. She felt Lara's arms go around her sides to her back holding onto her as she lay her head on her shoulder. She could feel Lara crying silently as she held her. Gena moved her hands across Lara's back as she cried and when she had cried herself out, Lara pulled back from her.
"I do appreciate what you have done for me." Lara said softly as the last of her tears fell down her cheeks.
Gena reached out taking her fingertips to wipe those tears away, "That's what friends are for."
"Am I really your friend?" Lara asked.
"Why sure you are." Gena said a bit surprised by Lara's question.
"I've never had a real friend before," Lara said as the tears began to form again.
Gena gave her a big smile, "Well you do now." Then she reached over pulling Lara to her to give her a hug that Lara returned.
Gena pulled back, wiping the tears from Lara's eyes, "Now enough of this girly emotional stuff. Now let's watch a little TV and then hit the sack." Gena told her again wiping the tears from her eyes.
Lara gave her a soft smile before turning her attention to the show on the TV. Gena did the same, though she found that she kept glancing over at Lara's thighs and the way that Lara's breasts were rising and falling as she breathes softly.
When Gena went to bed, she set her alarm for five AM so that they could be out of the house by six and she could get back to work by eight. Gena was glad that George, the man she got her car from made her keep the maintenance up on her car, as she was going to be putting a hell of a lot of miles on it this week. She just hoped that this wouldn't last long as the fuel cost was going to put a big dent into her budget. When the alarm went off, she reached to turn it off then she yawned. In was during this yawn that Gena first got the whiff of coffee brewing and then she heard pans rattling in the kitchen. She didn't know how Lara was up before she was when she didn't even tell her when they were getting up and Lara didn't have a clock in her room.
Gena went to the bathroom to pee and brush her teeth before heading into the kitchen where she found Lara at the stove bringing out fresh baked biscuits from the oven.
"I want to know something?" Gena said as she went to the table a cup of coffee was sitting ready for her.
"What's that?' Lara asked as she turned from the stove.
"How in the hell do you always beat me up? You don't even have a clock, much less an alarm clock in your room," Gena asked.
Lara giggled, "Remember I have an internal alarm clock, so I just have to set my mind on when to wake up and I always do. I think I learned that from living with my bastard father and brothers."
"Well that explains how you wake up but not when you wake up." Gena told her.
Lara hesitated and her cheeks turned red making Gena wonder just what Lara was about to say. "I kind of wait until you go to sleep and then I go in and check to see what time you set the alarm." Lara told her, "I hope you don't mind me doing that."
"No I don't mind, at least it explains how you always manage to get up before I do, however I think of myself of being a light sleeper, how do you come in and out without me knowing." Gena stated.
Lara grinned real big, "You forget that I spent my whole life sneaking around my father's house without ever being caught."
Gena had to laugh, "You know you'd be a great cat burglar."
"Maybe that will be my new career," Lara said laughing.
"Well when you get caught, don't come to me to get you off," Gena told her laughing.
"Oh I won't get caught, I'm too sneaky." Lara said laughing.
"I believe you are but I would still consider another career choice." Gena suggested.
Lara laughed again as she put the freshly made biscuits onto the table with a jar of honey. "Okay but being a car burglar sounds like so much fun."
"You're crazy," Gena said laughing as she took a biscuit from the tray putting it on her plate and putting some of the honey on it.
They talked a little about what Lara could do with her limited self education and they continued that conversation on the way to Monroe. Gena thought more about that as she returned to the station to start her day. Again it was a boring day however Gena had plenty to do. Lara called again at noon to let her know that they were still going over the same stuff but that she was being patient with them as Gena had told her to do. As the week went on, Lara had to answer less questions and became more bored. They had gotten about all the information that they could get out of her only coming to her when they found something that they were unsure of or found a file that she might be able to help them get into.
On Friday, Gena had barely gotten into work from dropping Lara off, that Lara called to say that they would be finished with her by one or so. Gena had more than enough comp time build up that she could afford to leave a little early. She checked with the sheriff and he told her to take off at noon. Things were covered and she had her cell phone in case they needed her. So Gena called Lara back telling her that she would be there at one to pick her up, however she noticed that Lara sounded kind of down. Gena asked her what was wrong but Lara would only say that things were fine. Gena worried about it as the morning went along and then more so when she left work to go pick her up.
Gena found Lara standing outside of the Federal Building where the DEA offices were located and she was alone. This was the first time all week that Lara was alone, always before there was someone to meet her and someone to wait with her as she waited for her to arrive. She could see that Lara had this depressed look on her face as she got into the car.
"What's wrong?" Gena asked as Lara closed the door and put her seat bet on.
"They told me that there isn't a real reason to put me into the witness protection program since the only people that know about me are dead. They may not need me to even testify against those cops since one of them has decided to testify against the sheriff and his main deputy. The other people that they have arrested and are going to arrest I don't know anything about except what is my computer which they are keeping. They did at least let me download all of my personal stuff to a jump drive." Lara said sadly.
"Well that's good isn't it? That means that you'll not have to go to some strange place." Gena told her.
"Yea but I haven't told you the worse part." Lara said. "They got me a little apartment here in Monroe to live in and once they find out if they need me to testify or not then they will cut off what little money that they are giving me to live on and I have to find a way to live on my own." Lara said sadly as she looked over at her.
Gena's mouth open and she was about to say that she could just stay with her but she stopped herself. She knew that one day Lara would have to go out on her own and the time had come, much sooner than she had expected but come all the same. She also knew that she was becoming much too attached to Lara and she needed to cut those ties and now was the time. So she said instead, "Well you got me as a friend and you can call me when you want. We can still do things when you want. And this will give you an opportunity to find out what you want to do while they are still supporting you. It'll all work out, you'll see." However from the expression on Lara's face this wasn't what she wanted to hear.
"I guess..." Lara said not too convinced.
Gena tried to get Lara to talk on the way home but she just seemed to want to stare out the passenger side window.
Once home, Gena changed out of her uniform putting on a pair of shorts. Gena had to work to get Lara off the couch to change into some shorts. She had the afternoon off and she didn't want to spend it in the house, though there were lots of things needed to be done. She knew that she needed to get Lara out or she would mope about the house all afternoon making Gena feel even guiltier than she already was.
"So what do you want to do?" Gena asked her as Lara came out of the bedroom.
"I don't care..." Lara told her giving her that same sad expression.
"Well I guess that means that I get to decide." Gena told her however she had no clue as to what she wanted to do or what would get Lara out of her funk. It wasn't like this was unexpected; they both knew that one day Lara would be put in a place of her own. This was only temporary situation but Gena knew that Lara probably never thought all of that through, she was just thinking of the moment and that she was free of her family's control.
"I know what we can do." Gena finally said.
"What's that?" Lara asked.
"I'm going to get you to help me decide what colors to paint all the rooms of this house. I've been meaning to get the paint and get started but there have been so many other things to do that I haven't gotten around to it yet. Would you like to do that?" Gena asked.
Lara hesitated for a second but then a soft smile came to her face, "Yea, I'd like that. What rooms are you going to paint?"
"All of them... eventually. But I figure that we can get the paint today and maybe even start, if you want to help me paint that is." Gena told her.
"Sure I'd love to help you but I've never painted a room before." Lara told her.
"Well to tell you the truth, neither have I." Gena confessed with a grin that did make Lara grin too.
"Come on, let's go see what we can find." Gena said as she grabbed her purse and started for the door. She had to wait there for a moment before Lara moved toward her. Gena gave her another smile that Lara did return and Gena felt a little better about things.
Gena kept the conversation on each of the rooms and she made sure that Lara got to say first what color that she thought that each room should be. Some of the colors were a bit wild for her taste but once Lara started talking about how they would do this or that to the room, she made the color more attractive. When they got to the paint store, they began to get down to really deciding on the colors. This really brought Lara out of her funk as she made the store clerk show them all the colors that he could make. Gena then drew out the house and had the clerk make several copies.
They then put the copies down on the counter and they began to put the colors on the paper from samples of paint that the clerk had. They did several variations placing them out so that they could think about them. They talked and argued about each one until they had decided on each room except for the one that Lara was using. Gena wanted a neutral color that would suit most guests but Lara had other ideas wanting something bold. Gena argued for a while but she saw that Lara seemed set on the color that she had picked out. They had been there for a couple of hours by then and Gena was wearing down so she finally gave in letting Lara had her way going for the bold color.
As the clerk got each color mixed, they took them out to Gena's old car filling up the trunk and then the back seat with cans of paint and then the brushes and rollers that would be needed to apply the paint. When it came time to pay, Gena wrote out a check from her house account. She still had a lot left in the account but the paint bill did put a dent into it. By the time that they got home and had the paint carried into the house, it was too late to get started painting. So Lara fixed them some dinner and they ate with Gena keeping the conversation on the painting that needed to be done and not the fact that come Monday Lara would be on her own.
After dinner, they moved the paint to the room that it would be used and again talked about how it would look there. Even after all the talking that they had done during the afternoon, there was still some discussion and one last swap of paint from the living room to Gena's bedroom. They then went to the living room to relax. Gena saw how Lara began to stare straight ahead even while she was talking. She would answer her but with just one word answers. Gena then began to think about what Lara had once told her about how she could zone out her father when he was cussing her, hearing his words but not letting them touch her. Gena wanted to reach over and shake Lara and make her listen to her but she realized that would be what Lara's father would do and she didn't want to copy him. She had to treat Lara differently than what she was used to. So instead, she just fell silent and watched the TV though her mind wasn't on what it was playing anymore than Lara's mind was doing. So they sat there until Lara announced that she was heading to bed and she did so without waiting for a response from Gena.
Gena was irritated with Lara at first because she knew what Lara wanted her to do but that was something that she couldn't do. Lara had to get out on her own; she wasn't her knight in shining armor coming to rescue her. Her job was to protect Lara and she had done that and that was all that she was going to do. She thought about this for a moment and decided that was what she had to do and in the morning she would tell Lara that and make her understand that was what was for the best for both of them. Having that decided, she was ready for bed.
She turned off the lights and headed toward her bedroom, as she passed the spare bedroom which Lara was now using, she paused. Having done so, she immediately regretted pausing as she could see that Lara was curled up in her twin bed and she could see her wiping the tears from her eyes. Gena wanted to step in but she didn't do so, she went on past going to her bedroom. She could feel Lara tugging at her heart and she told herself "No!" and she felt like she had stopped herself from feeling sorry for Lara. She got into bed turning on her right side as she always did when she was ready to sleep.
She would normally fall right off to sleep and not wake until her alarm went off the next morning. However tonight she lay there waiting for sleep to come but it didn't. Her mind kept going back to Lara and seeing her alone in her bed crying softly. This time her heart did go out to Lara and she began to cry. She saw for the first time truly just how alone Lara had been all her life. Lara had told her about being alone and all the things she had done sneaking around that awful house. Gena had heard this but it wasn't until tonight, until this very moment that she came to realize just how alone the poor girl was. Gena turned onto her back and then she sat up. She then got up and began to walk around her bedroom. She had always done her best thinking when she could walk and let her mind work. She knew she had only two options before her. Make Lara go and hope that she could find new friends and make it on her own or she could let her stay with her.
She liked Lara well enough that she knew that they could get along as roommates and she had to admit that Lara's cooking was great even if it meant that she would have to work out more to keep the pounds off. So it would seem that it would be an easy decision to make. Just let Lara stay and they both would be happy. But she knew that all easy decisions were never without their problems and they sometimes turn out to be bad decisions. This is what she feared because she knew in her heart that she was very much attracted to Lara. She lusted after her body because Lara had everything that she desired in a woman physically, she wasn't too thin nor was she overly overweight. She had just enough fat to her body to make her feel soft and would feel soft in her arms when she hugged her. And as she had seen that first day, she didn't shave or trim her pussy hair down. Her bush was nice and full where she could bury her face into. But it wasn't just that made Lara desirable, she also was smart and funny at times. She also had this innocence to her that made Gena want to protect her from the world. She brought out that protective instinct that Gena had developed in the orphanage. So she knew that if she let Lara stay, she would fall in love with her if she had not already done so which was probably the case.
Gena paced around the room for another hour trying to decide which road to take, the one that would, for sure cause, Lara pain at that moment but may make her stronger in the end or make Lara happy now only to have her get hurt in the end. Or maybe it was her own heart that Gena was afraid would get hurt, Gena couldn't decide which the real truth was, which she was more fearful of. Just because she was in love with Lara didn't mean that Lara would be able to return that love. Lara may not even be into women, she may be straight though Gena had a gut feeling that Lara was probably closer to being a lesbian than being straight. Gena thought a while longer and once she made her decision, she knew it was better to go ahead and talk to Lara now rather than wait until morning. It was better to get it settled tonight, or rather early morning as it was well past midnight by this time.
Gena went to Lara's open door, she didn't hear anything from Lara so she softly knocked on the open door, "Lara are you still awake?"
There was silence for a moment and Gena thought that Lara had cried herself to sleep. She was about to turn away when she heard, "Yea, I'm awake." Lara spoke in a soft voice but it was not a voice that had just woken up.
"Would you come into the kitchen, I need to talk to you for a minute," Gena asked of her.
Again there was another pause before she heard, "Okay."
Gena went on into the kitchen, turning on the light and turning on the coffee maker which was ready to make her coffee in the morning. Gena waited for the coffee to run through and she heard the bathroom door shut. She got her cup ready, putting the sugar and creamer into it. She then got a Mountain Dew out of the fridge for Lara, who came shuffling into the kitchen just as Gena was pouring the coffee into her cup. She turned around to see Lara sitting at the table with a freshly washed face, however she could see the dark shallows under Lara's eyes and she knew that she had made the right decision; she could feel it in her heart.
"I think we need to talk about some things..." Gena said before pausing, "...things that I have been thinking about. I know when you mentioned that they were going to put you up in a little apartment in Monroe, you wanted me to say that you could just move in with me permanently but as you know I didn't say that."
Lara was in the process of taking a drink of her Mountain Dew when she stopped putting the drink back down on the table. Her deep green eyes stared into Gena and she could feel Lara's emotions, her fears, her loneliness, even the rage that Gena knew was somewhere in Lara's soul coming through those eyes and into her soul. She could feel Lara's needs come through those eyes, those needs that Lara so wanted for Gena to help her fill.
Gena took a deep breath before continuing, "I wanted to tell you that you could stay here but I felt that was not the right thing to do for you but also for me."
Lara's eyes slowly dropped and a very sad and forlorn look came upon her face. Gena took another deep breath before saying what she knew Lara so wanted to here. "However I have been rethinking my decision over for the last couple of hours while I tried to go to sleep."
This brought Lara's eyes back up where they were now back to staring into her and there was now a bit of a sparkle to those eyes. "I think that if you would like to stay here with me, then maybe that would be fine with me... in fact I would like for you to stay with me," Gena told her.
Lara's eyes went wide with excitement but then a bit of doubt appeared, "Really, you want me to stay?"
"Yes I do... But there's..." Gena was saying when Lara let out a cry of joy.
"Oh thank you!" Lara said jumping up and hitting the table and knocking over her pop bottle. But that didn't stop her as she ran around the table to where Gena was standing. Gena barely had time to put her coffee cup down before Lara wrapped her arms around her giving her a tight hug.
"Thank you so much! I promise you won't regret this, I do all the cooking and cleaning and anything you want!" Lara was saying to her when Gena pushed her back so that she could look into Lara's eyes.
"I don't want or need a maid. I can cook and clean up after myself just fine." Gena said forcefully as she gripped Lara's arms holding her in place.
"I like cooking for you..." Lara said somewhat sadly.
"I know you do and I love your cooking and you're welcome to cook some but as long as you are here, we're going to share the cooking and cleaning and whatever else that needs to be done and on this I want no argument." Gena told her again forcefully.
Lara looked at her for a moment with sad eyes but then they seem to brighten up as she said, "Okay we share the cooking and stuff."
Gena could see from Lara's eyes that she was giving in and wasn't going to argue but that didn't mean that she agreed with her nor that she would abide by that rule. Gena started to make Lara swear to agree but she had something more she had to say and it was more important than who did the cooking and cleaning.
"There's also something else I need to talk to you about and it is important that you understand me." Gena said as she pushed Lara away from her. She guided Lara over to the table and made her sit into the chair.
Lara gasped and she jumped up a bit but then she sat back down. Gena wondered for a second why she did that but her mind was on what she needed to tell Lara. Gena pulled out a chair and sat in front of Lara with their knees almost touching.
"There's something that you need to know about me and it may make you decide that maybe living in that apartment would be better for you." Gena told her.
"On no, I don't care what it is, I want to stay here." Lara said seriously as she reached out to Gena.
"No honey... let me tell you what I have to tell you first." Gena said pushing Lara's arms away and getting a pout from her.
"What is it? I told you that I don't care unless you are some mass murderer," Lara said with a giggle.
"No, I'm not a mass murderer..." Gena said with a laugh herself before turning serious again.
"What I am is a lesbian..." Gena said slowly, "You know, I'm attracted to other women, not men."
"Oh I already knew that." Lara said with a smile. "I figured that out long ago."
"You did, when did you know?" Gena asked surprised that Lara already knew this and didn't seem to mind in the least.
"When you took me to the bathroom that first day, it was the way that you looked at me as I pulled my jeans and panties down. You're eyes seem to light up a little as you looked at me. So I sort of knew then but I knew for sure when you almost let me kiss you in the boxing ring..." Lara said blushing a little.
"Oh okay..." Gena said thinking about that day and how she wanted to kiss Lara yet was glad when Mary interrupted them. That thought also made her ask the question that she needed an answer to.
"Are you..." Gena asked.
"Lesbian?" Lara said finishing her question.
"Yes are you?" Gena asked.
"Yea, I am." Lara said looking Gena in the eyes and Gena could see the love that Lara had in those eyes.
"How do you know? Have you ever been in a relationship?" Gena asked wondering if maybe Lara had met anyone during her trips for her father.
"No I haven't..." Lara said pausing for a moment, "...at least not yet."
"Then you can't be sure..." Gena said feeling her heart suddenly feel sad.
"Oh I know, I know that I want to be with a woman and never with a man. I hate men; they're all mean and bad." Lara said quickly.
"Lara, not all men are like your father and brothers, there are some men who are very caring and loving, men who would never put their girlfriends or wives down or cheat on them. Don't think they are all bad." Gena warned her.
"I guess, those men at the balloon fair were very nice." Lara conceded to her.
"And Agent Stone and Simpson have been good to you." Gena told her.
"They weren't the first couple of days!" Lara shot back.
"No they weren't but they didn't know who you were or what your story was. All they knew was that you had a car load of drugs in your car and their job is to get those drugs off the streets and away from kids. They were doing their job but after those days they have been nice to you haven't they. They were nice this past week weren't they?" Gena asked.
"They were, they were super nice until they told me that they had a apartment for me to live," Lara told her.
"Which they promised to do for you from the beginning," Gena told her.
"Okay they're not so bad," Lara said finally giving in on this point.
"So maybe there is a guy out there you could like and maybe love," Gena suggested.
"I might could find a guy I could be friends with but never love, I'm like you, I just like women." Lara said firmly.
"How do you know for sure?" Gena asked pressing Lara as she had to know just where Lara was coming from.
"Because when I got my laptop, I began to surf around on the net and I found some dirty sites," Lara said blushing, "You know the ones with naked men and women doing things..."
"Yes I know what you are talking about; I might have seen a few of them myself." Gena said giving Lara a wink and making Lara blush a little.
"Well... none of them really did anything for me until I found a site where there were women kissing each other and that I loved. I searched for more of those sites and I found that they excited me, you know they..." Lara said then she stopped as she blushed more.
"They made your panties wet," Gena said grinning at a blushing Lara.
"Yes very wet," Lara said giggling.
"Well just to let you in on a secret, those sites make my panties very wet too." Gena told her making Lara giggle more and her face turned a little redder.
"So can I hug you now?" Lara asked when she stopped giggling.
Gena laughed a little, "Yes you can hug me now." Then she opened her arms allowing Lara to lean forward and give her the hug she wanted to give her.
"Thank you for letting me stay with you, I really didn't want to be alone again." Lara whispered softly into Gena's ear as she hugged her.
"I know you didn't and I'm glad to have you here, you know this old house can get a little lonely for me too." Gena said admitting this to herself for the first time.
"Well we both won't be alone ever again." Lara said as she pulled back giving Gena a big happy smile that seemed to go from ear to ear.
"No we won't." Gena said smiling just as big as she dropped her hands down to Lara's hips, going until her finger tips felt the lower portion of Lara's gown and found that it was wet.
"Honey, your gown's wet." Gena said as she pulled up on the gown and seeing that the bottom of it was soaking wet.
"I know, I think I knocked over my pop when I jumped up as you told me I could stay with you. I guess my Mountain Dew ran into the chair." Lara said, "I sorry I didn't mean to but I was just so happy that you were letting me stay."
"Oh honey, that's fine but why didn't you tell me when you sat down that the chair was wet." Gena asked as she got up, pulling Lara up with her. She turned Lara around to see the back of the gown sticking to Lara's ass. She pulled the back of the gown up to see that Lara's panties were soaked through and she could see her ass cheeks through the thin wet material.
"You seemed so serious and you were letting me stay so I wasn't about to say anything to stop you. I didn't want you to change your mind." Lara said as she felt the back of her gown and then her panties.
"Honey, I wouldn't have changed my mind." Gena told her seriously. "Now you go in and get cleaned up and I will clean this mess up."
"No I made the mess, I can clean it up." Lara said as she went over to the sink pulling off some paper towels off of the holder.
"Oh no you don't, I'll do the cleaning and you go take you a shower." Gena said as she stopped Lara, turning her around, and then pushing her toward the door.
"You sure?" Lara stopped and asked.
"Yes I'm sure now get going!" Gena said seriously then she popped Lara on her wet panties with her hand.
"Ouch!" Lara said as she turned to give Gena a pout that made Gena worry for a second that she shouldn't had popped Lara's ass like that but then Lara smiled real big and giggled as she went out of the kitchen.
Gena laughed as she took the paper towels that she had taken from Lara and began to clean up the spilled pop. She soon heard the shower being turned on and she smiled as she felt good for the first time in a long while. She just knew that having Lara around the house was going to be nice, it would give her a reason to come home at night and not stay at the station where she really wasn't needed once her shift was over. Gena wiped the table down getting the sticky Mountain Dew up and then she dried it off before getting Lara a fresh one out. She then realized that she was getting hungry and she figured that Lara would be too since they both had just picked at their dinner. So she pulled out some chips and got out the jar of salsa that Lara had insisted that they get on one of their trips to the grocery store.
"Mmmm... that looks great, you read my mind." Lara said as she entered the kitchen a minute or two later. Her long black hair was still damp from the shower and she looked so fresh and clean.
"Then let's take the chips and salsa to the living room and sit for a while, for some reason, I'm not tired." Gena said with a smile.
"Me either," Lara said smiling. "We can talk about all you want to do to this house to make it perfect."
"I don't know if you want to know all of that as I've got a lot I want to do. More than I can do in my lifetime." Gena said with a laugh as she followed Lara into the living room.
"But you got me to help now." Lara said brightly as she put the chips and salsa onto the coffee table. She then took her drink and Gena's coffee from her as Gena sat down folding her right leg under her so that she could sit and face Lara who was sitting the same way.
"Yes I do but I don't want you to just do everything for me, you got to think about school and what you want to do with your life. You have your whole life ahead of you now." Gena told her.
She then took a chip and dipped it into the salsa that Lara had opened. She had a lot of salsa on the chip as she popped it into her mouth. Gena saw that Lara had a grin on her face and she wondered why until she felt the spices in the salsa warm up her mouth. "Woo, that's salsa is hot!" she exclaimed.
Lara giggled, "I like it hot!" She then popped one into her mouth chopping down on it but then taking a drink from her pop.
"I think I should have gotten a pop too instead of this coffee." Gena told her.
"I can get you one." Lara said as she started to get up.
"No need to." Gena said smiling as she took another chip and dipped it into the salsa getting a lot on it much to Lara's surprise. She popped it into her mouth and just as it began to warm her mouth, she reached over taking Lara's pop from her and taking a long drink.
"Hey!" Lara protested.
"See I got a pop." Gena said laughing.
"I can see that." Lara said laughing with her. "I guess I got to go get me one."
"No here take this one back and I'll get me one." Gena said as she started to get up but Lara beat her to it.
"I don't want that one after your lips been all over it." Lara said and it was Gena's turn to pout.
Lara laughed as she ran into the kitchen and soon came running back in with a fresh pop. She sat down getting her another chip and popped it into her mouth before opening the pop and taking a drink as her mouth got hot.
"So what you going to do after getting the inside of the house painted?" Lara wanted to know.
"Mmmm... lots of things but some of the things I'll have to have someone come in and do," Gena told her.
"Like what and why can't we do them?" Lara asked.
"Well I want to put a half bath for the master bedroom and redo the kitchen. Put all new cabinets and cabinets in. I also want to redo the bathroom too. I know that I can paint but doing carpentry work is above my ability." Gena told her.
"Yea it is better to get someone who knows what they are doing to do those things. But we can do the painting. If we mess it up then we can always just repaint the room." Lara told her.
"Oh and I want to put in more insulation, above the ceiling and under the floor. I think that will help to keep the house warmer this winter." Gena told her.
"We can do that I know," Lara told her.
"Have you ever put insulation in?' Gena just had to ask.
"Well no but how hard can it be?" Lara asked.
"Probably harder than you think but you're right, I think that is something that we can do." Gena said with a smile then she had to wipe her brow as she had begun to sweat from the salsa.
"Cool, I'll put it on our list," Lara said proudly.
"So you're making a list now?" Gena asked arching her eyebrows at her.
Lara giggled, "Yea, we got to keep up with all we got to do and also be able to mark them off as we get them done."
"Well let's get the painting done first then we'll look at everything else." Gena said then she had an idea. "Is there anything that you think will make the house better?"
"Are you asking me?" Lara asked with a surprised look on her face.
"Yea, I'm asking you. You've been here a couple of weeks now and you have a fresh set of eyes that maybe you have seen something that I haven't noticed or thought of." Gena told her.
Lara gave her a sweet smile and Gena knew that she had made Lara feel good and important as her opinion was wanted for the first time. "Let me think a minute." Lara said with a smile still on her face.
She ate a couple of chips as she thought and she looked around the living room. She kept looking until her eyes flashed onto the windows and her face lit up. "I think you need to change the windows and put in some shelves on them so that you can put flowers in the sun."
Gena looked at the windows and she let herself imagine what they would look like and she began to like the idea. "You know that's a good idea and that would help with the heat and air too. These windows are old and I know that they aren't doubled paned like the new ones are. I think we need to look at that."
Lara smiled proudly, "You like that idea?" she asked.
"Yea I do anything else you can think of?" Gena asked her.
"Mmmm... I don't know but I'll try to think of some more things." Lara told her with a proud grin on her face.
"Well try to think of cheap things that we can do, my house account is quickly being depleted." Gena said with a laugh but she was serious too.
"Okay I'm sure that we can find some things that we can do to make the house better without spending a fortune. My father's house had a lot of beautiful and expensive things but it was never a comfortable house. But here you have almost nothing and it is all cheap but I feel like I am in a real home here." Lara said as her face turned sad.
"Well this is your home for as long as you want it to be." Gena said and then she put the pop on the coffee table before she scooted over on the couch so that she was sitting beside of Lara. She started to reach out for Lara but Lara moved away from her making Gena wonder if Lara wanted a hug as she thought that she did. However Lara was just putting her pop down on the table then she turned around first putting her back to Gena. She then leaned back and Gena knew what she was wanting.
Gena put her feet on the edge of the heavy coffee table and scooted her ass down in the couch a bit so that her legs and body made a V that Lara laid back into. Gena put her left arm around Lara's back as Lara slipped her right arm around Gena's side. She put her head on Gena's left shoulder. Gena put her right hand on Lara's left side holding her to her body.
"Would you hold me for a little while?" Lara asked softly.
Gena turned her head and kissed Lara softly on her forehead, "I'll hold you for a long as you need for me to."
"Thank you..." Lara said softly as she settled into Gena's arms.
Gena pulled Lara into her body holding her tightly and she could feel Lara's body relax and she figured that she would soon lose Lara to sleep however after a long silence, Lara cleared her throat.
"So what do we do now?" Lara asked her out of the blue.
Gena felt her heart skip a beat as she thought that Lara was asking about the two of them. "What do you mean?" She asked to clarify just what Lara was asking.
"About me staying here and not at the apartment that the DEA was going to make me move into?" Lara asked her.
"Oh, that," Gena said.
"What did you think I meant?" Lara asked as she sat up a bit so that she could look into Gena's eyes.
"Well I didn't know what you meant." Gena told her telling a little lie hoping that Lara wouldn't press the issue.
"Okay," Lara said then she laid her head back down on her shoulder, "so what we going to do?"
"Well..." Gena said pausing to think this over. "You need to contact them Monday morning and tell them that you are going to stay with me for a while until you can get things figured out."
"Just a while?" Lara said as she again she sat back up looking at Gena with a hurt look on her face.
"I was talking about what you're going to tell them, I told you that you can stay as long as you want. We just need to let them know where you'll be for the next little while. You can just tell that that you feel safer here and rooming with a cop makes you feel that way." Gena told her giving her a reassuring smile.
"Oh I see..." Lara said slightly embarrassed and then she lay back down against Gena.
"And since I don't have a home phone, just a cell phone, and I can't bring you into work every day, we'll have to get you a phone tomorrow." Gena told her.
"But I don't have any identification; they took all of that away from me." Lara said sitting up and she turned and sat facing Gena.
"Because it was all fake identification, you had five different ID's and none of them legal." Gena reminded her.
"Oh yea, well I didn't like any of those names anyway," Lara told her.
"Yea so I guess I can add you to my phone, that way you don't have to provide any identification to the cell phone company. But that solves one problem but brings up another problem, your need for identification. When you talk to them Monday bring that up and see if they can get you some identification. You need that to do anything from here on out." Gena told her.
"I think they are working on that but I'll remind them Monday when I give them my new number." Lara said pausing for a moment, "I wonder if I can get my laptop back from them."
"I don't know, it might be considered as evidence but you can ask." Gena told her. "All they can say is no."
"Well I will try to talk them into it," Lara told her.
"I thought that you wanted to get rid of everything that was a part of your old life." Gena asked of her.
"I do but that was my only link to the outside world, the world that you have helped me to enter." Lara said with a smile, and then she lay back down against Gena letting her to hold onto her again.
"Then you need to start thinking about finding a school to go to, you're too smart to not go to some college and get a degree." Gena told her.
"But I can find out anything I need to know from the internet, I don't need to go to some school." Lara told her and Gena could feel Lara's body tensing.
"Well think about it, it's not like you need to start next week, just sometime." Gena told her and that seemed to calm Lara back down.
"Okay, I'll think about it but first I want to help you get this house looking nice." Lara told her.
"And since you said it would take the rest of our lives to get the house the way you want it, I'll never have to go to any school." Lara followed up with much too quickly.
"Very funny; if I can do my job and still work on the house, then you can go to school and help with the house." Gena countered.
Lara was silence and Gena knew she was trying to come up with something to make an argument with but Gena knew that she had Lara painted into a corner. So Lara ended up changing the subject instead, "So what type of phone are you going to let me get?"
Gena smiled to herself at winning the argument yet she knew it would be a struggle to get Lara to go to school but she let that go for the moment as she answered Lara's question, "The best and cheapest that we can find."
"Can we get one that I can send texts to you on, the internet says that is what everyone is doing now," Lara asked.
Gena laughed a little, "I think that we can add that to my plan but no internet on the phone, I have that here if you need it." Gena told her in no uncertain terms.
"Okay, just texting, I want to learn to do that. Do you ever send texts?" Lara asked.
"No but I think I'm about to learn." Gena said with another laugh.
"We can learn together, that'll be fun," Lara said excitedly.
"I guess it will..." Gena said not as sure about that as Lara was.
"So anything else we need to talk about before Monday?" Lara asked.
"I am sure that there is but I am getting to the point where my ability to think is rather limited. I think maybe it is time for us to head back to bed." Gena suggested and then she let out the yawn that she had been suppressing for a while now.
"Yea, as much as I hate to admit it but I'm getting tired too," Lara said and she too yawned after seeing Gena do so.
"Well get up so I can and I'll see you in the morning." Gena said as Lara was still sitting up against her legs.
Lara paused for a moment as Gena waited for her to move. She had this weird look on her face as if she was about to ask something but was unsure if she should. Gena was just about to ask her what she wanted when Lara's face broke out into a grin, a mischievous grin at that.
Gena knew something was going on inside that cute head of Lara's and it was. Lara put her hands up to Gena's shoulders sort of pinning her against the back of the couch. Lara then quickly leaned forward Gena wondering just what Lara was up to when she saw Lara close her eyes and purse her lips. Gena then knew what was coming and she was powerless to stop her. Gena could only close her lips and then she felt Lara's lips lightly touching her lips. The kiss was brief as Lara quickly leaned back and then jumped up from the couch. Gena could see Lara blushing from head to toe as she turned and ran to her bedroom.
Gena just sat here for a moment still feeling Lara's lips on her lips and she had to curse Lara as she knew that any hope of sleep was now gone. She would be thinking of that damn kiss all night. She couldn't believe the little minx had the guts to kiss her but she had to give her credit, she did it and even before Gena could decide if and when she would kiss Lara. She knew that what she was trying to avoid was now unavoidable. There would be more kisses to come and that thought did make her smile as she finally got up off the couch.
When she got up under the covers, she still felt Lara's lips on hers, it had been so long since she had kissed another woman or been kissed by one and it felt nice. It felt so nice that she wanted lots more of those kisses and she wanted them from Lara. And despite the excitement of the kiss, the long day did overcome her excitement and she fell to sleep and it was deep sleep at that.
Gena was able to sleep late that morning, a lot later than she normally did on Saturdays. She lay there for a moment wondering if she had woke up before Lara. It would be a first for sure. However about that time she heard the commode flush and then the bathroom door open. She had to smile as she listened to Lara moving around the kitchen. That was one thing about a small house, you could hear anything from anywhere in the house. A couple of minutes later, she got her first whiff of freshly brewed coffee and that got her up from the comfortable bed.
"So when are we going to get my new phone?' Lara asked as Gena came into the kitchen.
"What no "Good morning", no "Did you sleep well?" just When are we going to get your phone." Gena said as she smiled at Lara showing that she was kidding with her.
Lara giggled, blushing a little before she answered with, "Good morning, did you sleep well?"
Gena had to laugh as she poured herself a cup of coffee, "Yes I slept well, how about you?"
"I slept great, thank you for asking." Lara said being formal.
Gena waited for a moment not saying anything more just slowing drinking her coffee as Lara worked at the stove. She knew Lara was dying to ask about the phone but she was trying not to do so. Gena made her wait but not long as she could see how excited that Lara was. "I think we can go this morning and get the phone and then do a little painting this afternoon. But I would like to get a quick workout in this morning first. I haven't worked out all week and I need it."
"Okay and we can workout and maybe do a little boxing too?" Lara asked.
"You just want to kick my ass again don't you?" Gena told her with a big smile.
"Nooo... it was just fun to learn to box a little, more fun than I thought it would be." Lara told her.
"It can be fun when you are just playing and not really fighting and it is a good cardio workout too." Gena told her.
"Yea I know, my shoulders were killing me after we boxed not to mention the rest of my body the next day." Lara said with a smile.
"I was wondering if you were sore but you didn't act it or say anything so I thought that maybe you were in better shape than I thought." Gena told her.
"I didn't want you to know that I wasn't as strong or in shape as you." Lara confessed.
"Why not? That's nothing to be embarrassed about. I have been working out since I began to study to become a policewoman." Gena told her.
"I..." Lara was saying then she turned around to face Gena, "I didn't want to disappoint you or make you think I wasn't worth training." Lara told her with a sad face.
Gena put her coffee cup down coming over to where Lara was standing by the stove, "Lara, you never have to worry about disappointing me. Just be yourself and you'll be fine. Now when you try to be someone you're not then that is when you'll disappoint me. You got that!" Gena told her.
Lara smiled, "I'll remember that, but I did like the boxing, now that was fun."
"What about working out on the machines?" Gena asked.
"Well... they were kind of boring but I don't mind them. I could feel them working my muscles and I do want to get stronger." Lara told her.
Gena laughed at that response, "Yea they are boring, even some days I have to force myself to do a full set of each one and some are a lot more boring than others."
"But I want to do all that you do." Lara quickly said.
"I'll tell you what, when we get there let's find some that you do like and you can just work on those for a while and when you get bored with them we'll move you over to some other ones, that way you won't get bored with them and will want to continue to workout with me. I like having someone to workout with." Gena said smiling at her as she briefly touched Lara's arm making Lara smile back at her.
"I think that would be great. I appreciate you working with me like this." Lara told her.
"Well with us both working out regularly, neither of us will get real fat from your great cooking." Gena said stepping back and turning to go back to her coffee but she still saw Lara beaming from the compliment on her cooking.
"What days do you usually work out?" Lara asked.
"Well I usually get up early on Tuesdays and Thursdays and workout before I go to work and then on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Then maybe some light workouts on the other days if I can fit them in and if I feel like it which I usually don't." Gena told her.
"Have you ever worked out every day of the week?" Lara asked.
"The only time I ever did that was when I first started and needed to get in great shape to pass my physical training. But after that I backed off. I like to workout but I also know that I could get burned out on it if I did it too much. Plus I just want to keep in decent shape. I don't want to be a bodybuilder. So I like to do shorter workouts on Tuesday and Thursday and do my heavy workout on Saturday and Sunday." Gena told her then taking a sip of her coffee.
"That makes sense, I think I could do that and not get burned out." Lara said as she pulled a couple of veggie omelets off the stove bringing them to the table.
As they ate, they talked about the different workout machines and the ones that Lara did enjoy so when they got to the gym that is what Gena started Lara out on. Gena worked with some machines that were in and around the ones that Lara was using so that they could talk and she could keep up with Lara's progress. Gena kept the resistance light so that Lara wouldn't strain herself but from the way Lara was working, Gena could see that it wouldn't take Lara long to work up to more resistance. They worked for a little better than an hour, just enough to work up a good sweat before Gena declared that they had done enough for the day.
"I'm not really tired yet." Lara complained.
"Well we could stay here for a couple of more hours..." Gena said pausing a moment as she saw Lara smile but then she added, "However that would mean that you'd have to wait until next week to get your phone since we need to paint today."
"Oh second thought, I'm hot and tired. I think we need to stop now." Lara said then she laughed.
"I thought that would change your tune real fast." Gena said laughing.
"Oh yea, I know when to change my mind." Lara said with a big smile.
"So you do," Gena said with a laugh. "Come on and let's see if we can talk Mary into letting us use her shower." Gena then grabbed her towel and headed back toward the back of the gym and through the doors to where the boxing ring was.
Mary was in the ring holding a couple of mitts in her hands that a tough looking young woman was hitting at with Mary yelling at her to hit "Harder! Sharper! Quicker!" Gena saw that Lara had stopped and was watching Mary train her prot‚g‚.
"She looks tough," Lara whispered to Gena.
"Just wait until Mary gets done with her. She'll have all the skills to go as far as she lets herself go. It is mostly up to her to turn her life around and Mary is helping her do that." Gena told her.
"You know that girl?" Lara asked.
"Let's just say that I have ran into her a couple of times while I was doing my job." Gena told her.
"Oh," Lara said. "Did you help her like you helped me?" She went on to say with a bit of jealously in her voice.
"No, back then she wasn't someone who would have listened to a cop so I got Mary to seek her out. All Mary had to do was to show her that she wasn't as tough as she thought she was." Gena said with a smile.
"How did she do that?" Lara asked.
"Oh Mary caught her out with her girlfriends and challenged her to three rounds in the ring and of course she couldn't turn Mary down when she was in front of her friends. She was sixteen and thought that she was tougher than anyone and no old fat woman could beat her at anything to do with fighting." Gena told her.
"So what happened?" Lara asked.
"Hey Sheena, what happened when you got into the ring with Mary?" Gena shouted out.
"Hey we're training here!" Mary shouted back at Gena with more than a little irritation in her voice.
"Hey Sheena needs a break." Gena said going over to the ring with Lara following close behind. Gena reached into a bucket getting a plastic bottle of water and climbing up to the ring.
Sheena came over and opened her mouth allowing Gena to squirt some water into her mouth since she couldn't do much with her boxing gloves on. Gena then gave Sheena a towel to wipe the sweat off her face.
"Did I say that you could take a break?" Mary asked Sheena who glared at her for a moment.
"Hey Sheena needed a break." Gena repeated.
"So I tell you how to be a cop?" Mary asked her.
"Well no..." Gena said smiling.
"Then don't tell me how to train my boxer." Mary spat at her.
"I was telling Lara here how you came to train Sheena and Lara wants to know what happened when a old fat woman challenged a girl less than half her age to a boxing match. A girl that was much quicker and meaner than you were." Gena told her.
"No one's meaner than Mary," Sheena spat at Mary.
"Just remember that," Mary told her.
"Well tell Lara what happened so we can get on with your training. You got your first professional fight in three weeks and you're a long way from being ready." Mary told her.
"Well after they put the gloves on me, I hit Mary right on the jaw as hard as I could and she just smiled. The next thing I knew I was sitting on my ass." Sheena said with a laugh and even Mary seemed to smile.
"I jumped up pissed and went after her as all my friends were telling me to kick her ass. I ended up back on my ass, seeing stars this time. I was young and stupid enough to try it one more time. When I woke up, I was lying on the floor and Mary here was stuffing some god awful smelling stuff up my nose. Then she told me that if I wanted to be as tough as I thought I was, she'd train me." Sheena told Lara.
"What I didn't tell her was that she had one hell of a right hook, my jaw hurt for a week after she had hit me." Mary said as she took the towel from Sheena and used it to wipe Sheena's face and arms down.
"You sure look like you could kick her ass now." Lara told Sheena with a grin.
"Yea, but now I'm smart enough not to try." Sheena told Lara.
"Now if you two would get your lazy asses off my ring, we can get on with Sheena's training." Mary barked.
Gena laughed, "Sure thing, can we borrow your shower?"
"Yea but don't leave it a mess like you usually do." Mary spat at her.
"I'll try to remember to clean up after myself this time." Gena called out to her.
"You'd better." Mary said and then they heard leather hitting leather as Sheena began her training again.
"So I guess Sheena took Mary up on her offer." Lara asked as they went toward Mary's office.
"Yea she did. Mary put some discipline into Sheena's life and she found something that she could be good at. She had a lot of anger built up inside that mind of hers and boxing gave her a way to get it out and then to find a focus in her life. Mary got her a job and she when she wasn't working, she was training so she no longer had time to get into trouble nor did she have time for the friends that she used to have. And I think it was good for Mary too, it gave her someone to work with. I think she missed not being able to box anymore so now she could give someone else all her knowledge." Gena said as they went through Mary's office going back to her bathroom which had a large shower installed.
Gena went to an old wooden cabinet along the back wall opening the doors to where there were shelves from the top to the bottom filled with towels and other bathroom supplies. She pulled out a couple of fluffy towels, a bottle of shampoo, and a couple of wash cloths.
"Do you take a shower here often?" Lara asked as she stood watching Gena.
"Only when I have somewhere to go after leaving here, otherwise I just go home and take a shower there." Gena told her as she put the towels and things on the sink counter.
"It's nice of her to let you use it then." Lara told her.
"She doesn't mind, it just gives her an excuse to fuss at me." Gena said grinning at Lara.
"I noticed that." Lara said with a nervous laugh as Gena began to undress.
"You're welcome to join me if you like, there's two shower nozzles installed in the shower." Gena said pulling her sweaty tee shirt off.
"You don't mind?" Lara said eyeing Gena as she pushed her shorts off.
"I don't mind at all, it'll be better than smelling your sweaty body all morning." Gena said giving Lara a big grin to show that she was kidding with her.
"I don't stink... at least not too much." Lara said grinning.
"It's the "not too much" that's got me worried." Gena said with a laugh.
Lara giggled but then she stopped as Gena pulled her sports bra off freeing her breasts. She noticed that Lara was just standing there staring at her breasts. Gena wanted to smile as it felt good to be stared at like that. She then hooked her fingers into her panties pushing them off her hips so that her full red haired bush came into view and she saw that Lara's eyes went to there and Lara slowly ran her tongue over her lips. This made Gena's nipples start to harden and she felt her pussy tingle but this wasn't the place for that. So she went to the sink getting the shampoo, soap, and washcloths. She walked back in front of Lara and walked into the larger shower.
Gena turned on the water standing to the side as it began to warm up. She saw that Lana was still standing in front of the shower watching her. "You know you actually have to get undressed and get under the water to take a shower."
Lara gave out another nervous giggle but she still didn't move. Gena then turned her back to Lara, stepping under the hot water. She let the water run over her head wetting her short red hair. She just stood there for a few moments letting the water run over her body then she felt something brush against her elbow. "Glad that you decided to join me," She told Lara.
Lara didn't say anything so Gena kept quiet, she had a real urge to stand back and look at Lara but she resisted that urge. Instead she stepped back and got one of the washcloths and the bottle of bath wash. Gena put some of the wash onto the washcloth and she began to wash her arms. She could just see Lara standing under the water from the corner of her eye. What little that she could see, she liked, even more than the first time that she had seen Lara's back in her bathroom with the cuffs and leg irons on. That time seemed so long ago though it had been only a week or so before. It was just that this situation was completely different in so many ways, the decisions that they had both made the previous night had put things between them in a whole new light.
Gena resisted for as long as she could but when Lara began to wash, Gena just had to turn toward her. Lara was looking her and her hand stopped on her stomach which she was beginning to wash. Gena saw that Lara was biting her lower lip and she was blushing. Gena looked at this beautiful young lady standing naked before her. Lara's long black hair was plastered against her body and Gena could just barely see Lara's light colored areoles peeking from behind that hair making for a sharp contrast. Gena looked on down to the flair of Lara's hips and then to the contrast of Lara's dark full bush against her pale skin. Gena so wanted to go to this beautiful, innocent, scared, shy young woman that stood before her and draw her into her arms. However she resisted that urge or need and she instead gave her a reassuring smile that made Lara blush more.
Gena went back to washing her body and soon Lara did the same however they both continued to stare at each other. Gena could feel the desire rise in her and she knew that she had already crossed over the line and that she had feelings for this woman that eventually she would have to give into. The shower lasted much longer than a normal shower would have as they both slowed down their movements and they continued to eye each other. Gena took in every curve of Lara's body and she so wanted to hold onto those hips that had a bit of baby fat on them. And then there was the bit of baby fat at Lara's lower stomach that Gena so wanted to kiss as well as burying her face into the full bush and just lose herself in that forest of hair. Then when Lara dropped the bottle of shampoo, probably on purpose Gena guessed; she bent over with her back to Gena who looked upon that full ass. Lara's cheeks parted just a bit showing Gena the small amount of black hair between Lara's cheeks and she saw that cute little pink asshole as well as the pink lips from between Lara's legs. Gena had to stifle a moan that she so wanted to let out. When Lara stood back up and faced Gena, it was Gena who was blushing making Lara smile. Like all great things, the shower had to end. So Gena turned off the water and they stepped out of the shower onto the rug to dry themselves with the fluffy towels. Once dry, Gena went back to the cabinet to get her hair dryer that she kept there. She stood naked in front of the mirror drying her hair as Lara watched from behind her. It only took Gena a couple of minutes to brush out her hair as she dried it.
She turned off the dryer and stepped away from the sink and mirror. "You want me to help you dry your hair?" she asked.
"Yea, thanks," Lara said with a smile as she stepped up to the sink looking back at Gena through the mirror. "Sometimes I think about cutting it all off and wear it short like yours. It is such a pain to take care of." She complained.
"The day you cut that beautiful hair off will be the day I kick you out of the house." Gena told her being half serious but smiling at her though the mirror.
Lara laughed, "In that case, I guess I'll leave it long."
"Good decision," Gena said with a laugh then she turned on the hair dryer and picked up her hair brush.
She began to run the brush through Lara's long fine hair, lifting it so that she could get the hot air from the hair dryer onto the hair to dry it out. Gena couldn't help but to smile as she looked at Lara's smooth back and down onto her ass. She knew that Lara was watching her every move through the mirror but that didn't stop her from looking. She could also see that Lara was catching glimpses of her as she moved around behind of her. Gena was able to get Lara's hair dry quicker than she would have liked.
"I guess we're done." Gena said turning the hair dryer and putting it by the sink.
Lara turned to face Gena putting her ass up against the sink. "Thank you," she said blinking her eyes several times showing her green eyes and long lashes. Gena looked into those beautiful eyes and she got lost.
