He smiled a wide grin, bringing the belt down on Paul's ass.

Paul flinched, holding in the scream.

Fredrick beat him fiercely, feeling the sweat on his body, seeing Paul's trembling.

Fredrick threw the belt aside, turning Paul over.

He looked at the taunt, sweating body, seeing Paul's tears and fear.

"I am your father, Paul. I take you now as a sign from god for you evil heart.

Paul nodded, looking up at his father with love.

"Heal me father, show me the true way."

Fredrick lifted his muscular legs, sinking into Paul's tight opening.

Paul screamed, putting his damaged hand into his mouth.

Fredrick shut his eyes slamming into the young man.

His servant, his tool.

Paul closed his eyes, seeing only one thing in his mind.

He was going to do the same to Justin Timberlake, and then to that demon Michael Tavarro.

Chapter 62

Everyone had stayed till almost eleven, enjoying relaxing conversation and each other's good company.

Timbaland and Cassi learning all about Michael's writing and his meeting Justin.

Michael just sat quietly letting Justin tell the story.

Justin picked up on Michael's quiet mood, knowing he was getting tired of everyone hearing about his life.

Justin didn't go into Michael's past, knowing this was enough for now.

Cassi smiled a lot, hugging Michael a few times, Michael was beginning to really like her.

She seemed so down to earth, so refreshingly candid in her observations and outspoken in her honesty. She had a lot in common with Vicky.

Michael thought of his friend back in Chicago. He missed her so much.

Justin felt Michael's feelings, knowing who he was thinking of.

He put his hand in Michael's, Michael smiling at him.

Timbaland kept looking at Michael, seeing the young man in a new light. Such a loving man, with such determination, I see why Justin loves him so, thought Timbaland.

The man is remarkable.

"So, Tim, what's ahead for you." Michael asked, smiling at him.

Timbaland looked at Cassi, kissing her cheek.

"Like you said, I take it one day at a time. Mikey. I want to try and stay with Justin as long as I can, his tour is important to both of us."

Justin teared up, hugging his friend.

"That means so much to me, Timba. That you want to be with me."

"You're my man, JT. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Music is a large part of my life. And you, my friend are deeply blessed with great music."

"Man, if you think I'm blessed, you should hear, Mico." Justin beamed, Michael blushing.

"Really? Do you have a great voice, Mikey?" Timbaland looking at him.

"It's not that good, Justin is just seeing through his eyes, believe me."

"No way, Mikey. Lonnie and I will both argue with you on that point." Paulo said, smiling at his brother.

"Damn straight, Mikey." Lonnie agreeing with Paulo.

Michael was feeling uncomfortable, again not wanting to be the center of attention.

Justin felt his uncomfortabe feelings.

"So Cassi, what do you do for a living?" Michael said, Justin knowing he was trying to change the subject, as well as everyone else picking up on it.

"I'm a singer and dancer, Mikey. Tim and I met on Justin's video for Cry me a river. I was a background singer on Justin's last tour."

Michael smiled, knowing that she was a friend of Justin's also.

The talk changed, everyone going on to other topics.

The evening wound down, Everyone finally saying their goodbyes.

Cassi hugged Michael tightly, thanking him again for what he'd done for them.

Timbaland hugged him even tighter, kissing his cheek.

"Thanks, Mikey, what can I say but that." Timbaland was tearing, threatening to break down.

Michael smiled, rubbing his shoulder.

"Remember, Tim, love conquers all. You have a good heart, god will be with you, my friend."

Timbaland smiled, putting his arm around Cassi.

"Goodnight, guys. And congratulations, Justin. You've got a great man there."

Justin beamed, putting his arm around Michael.

"Don't I know it." He smiled widely, Michael smiling just as wide.

Once they had finished talking, Lonnie said his goodbyes.Paulo said he was going to watch a movie, Michael and Justin begging off, going up to bed instead.

They undressed, showering together, spending time making each other feel beautiful.

They walked into the bedroom, climbing into bed for a tender session of love making.

After they had satisfied each other's desires, they held each other, falling asleep in each other's arms.

Michael looked around the room sensing where he was immediately.

He was in another dream or vision, of that he was sure. The room was the same one he'd met his father in the week before and Adrian so many years ago.

He walked around looking at the paintings on the walls, seeing faces he didn't know, and scenes from historic times.

Michael walked up on the platform, walking to the empty table.

The book of knowledge was gone, what that mean Michael didn't know.

"Hello, my child. It is I, the caretaker of knowledge."

Michael turned around, looking at someone in the shadows.

Adrian stepped out, Michael seeing the robed man he'd once known all those years ago.

Michael immediately sank to his knees, bowing his head.

"Blessed am I to see you again, Adrian, servant of god and my forefather."

Adrian quietly walked up to Michael, putting his hand on his shoulder.

"Rise, my child. You need not bow to me. We are equals, as all god's children are in his eyes."

Michael rose up slowly, looking at Adrian, tears forming in Michael's golden eyes.

This wasn't the Adrian from Michael's youth.

This man was a lot younger, Michael judging him to be around twenty five.

"You've changed, Adrian, you are not the same as when we last met."

Adrian smiled a wide smile, Michael loving how it changed his features, making his beautiful face seem radiant. Michael could see a lot of his own facial features in Adrian's face.

"You were a child, Michaelangelo, when first we met. You needed a grandfatherly teacher, someone to look up to. That's why I appeared as my older self."

Michael smiled, remembering how he'd thought of Adrian as his grandfather.

"Now I come to you as a brother, a brother in faith."

"Is the time close, great grandfather? Am I to know now what will come to pass?"

Adrian looked at Michael seeing the uncertainty in his eyes.

Adrian walked up to Michael, taking him in his arms, hugging him tightly, kissing his cheek.

"I have watched everything, my child. All your life's journey. I have seen goodness at its greatest. You are a remarkable man, Michaelangelo. A remarkable man, indeed. God has chosen you for your kind heart and loving soul. You are to be the salvation of our family."

Michael feel the deep caring in Adrian's feelings, and the deep happiness.

"Has god destined for my greatness to end in tragedy?" Michael asked, Adrian still seeing his concern.

"That is not for me to divulge, Michaelangelo. I am only your counselor. I am here to help you, to show you and to guide you."

Michael nodded, bowing his head.

"I am yours to do as god sees worthy."

Adrian smiled, knowing Michael's deeply giving heart.

"God has set you now on your one true path, Michaelangelo. From now on you will be guided by him with his love. I have much to tell you, about what lays ahead and what you need to do and know."

Michael smiled, seeing Adrian's smiling face, a face of deep faith.

"God has blessed you too, Adrian. My grandfather told me of your incredible life. You are a man of deep faith and deep love."

Adrian smiled, patting Michael's shoulder.

"I did all that god asked of me, I could do no less. Come my child, let us sit, we have much to discuss."

Michael was guided over to a comfortable looking couch, sitting down with Adrian.

Michael sat quietly, Adrian opening up to him about many things, some things that brought smiles to his heart, and others that deepened his worried brow.

"God laid down the prophecy to me those many years ago to warn my family, Michaelangelo. Because he knew that they would stray. In a sense it was an ultimatum. A choice for all of my descendants to make. Go the path of goodness or go the path of evil. Some have chosen the wrong path. It has broken my heart to see how far they have now strayed. But you, you my child, are the one that must show them the truth. The truth of their sins.

I intentionally left out one line of the prophecy, Michaelangelo.

One line that had to be left out, so that the evil in our family would walk blindly into the confrontation. You will learn that part later, my child."

Michael trusted Adrian to tell him when that time was upon him.

" I know it is an enormous task and responsibility that god has given you, Michaelangelo, but I see more that enough strength and greatness in you to see it done."

Michael smiled at his forefather, seeing so many of his own traits in his mannerisms and voice.

"We are two of the same soul, Adrian. I see a lot of your soul in myself. I am blessed."

Adrian smiled at Michael, putting his arm around him. He knew in his heart how some of his words had darkened Michael's soul. The weight of Michael's responsibilities would weigh heavily on him.

"Who is the commander of truth, Adrian?" Michael asked.

Adrian smiled, kissing Michael's cheek, saying a single name.

Michael smiled, kissing him back.

Michael's heart lightened. Adrian knew Michael would take kindly to that truth.

"My time is almost up, Michaelangelo. I have only one other thing to show you."

Adrian rose, Michael rising also.

Adrian quietly walked him over to the mirror, Michael knowing he was to see another vision.

Michael stood beside Adrian, Adrian looking into his eyes.

"You are a messenger of god, Michaelangelo. A harbinger of truth. God saw the greatness and loving nature of your soul. He chose you for your pure and giving heart.

See now what god wants you to see."

Michael looked into the mirror.

What he saw shocked him to his soul.

Adrian watched the wide smile cover Michael's face.

Michael opened his eyes, seeing the morning sky.

He was standing on their bedroom balcony, the morning breeze cooling his naked chest.

How he got here he didn't know. He remembered all the vision, all that Adrian had said.

Michael turned looking into the bedroom, seeing Justin sitting up in bed.

Michael turned back looking out into their large back yard.

He felt Justin rising and walking to the balcony door.

He sighed, feeling Justin wrap his arms around his chest.

"Morning lover, how long have you been up?" Justin said kissing Michael's cheek.

"Morning, Jus. I love you and I just woke up, literally."

"I love you too, babe. What do you mean?" Justin said turning Michael around.

"I just woke up here on the balcony. I had another vision, love."

Justin looked into his eyes, seeing a happiness and a deep calm.

"My love, can you tell me."

Michael kissed Justin deeply, feeling Justin's flowing love.

"Yes, Jus. I met Adrian again. But this time he was young, my age. He was breathtakingly beautiful."

Justin smiled.

"More beautiful than you my love, I couldn't imagine."

Michael smiled, feeling Justin's sweet words.

"He told me who the commander of truth is Justin."

Justin looked at him.

"You're not going to tell me, are you?" Justin picking up on Michael's reluctance.

"I'm sorry, Jus, I can't. It can't be known until the allotted time."

"Alright, Mico. I understand that. I'll be surprised, like everyone else. But I do sense you're very happy about who it is."

Michael smiled.

"Yes, and it's come as a complete surprise to me."

Justin hugged him close, Michael laying his head on Justin's chest.

"Anything else, love? What else did Adrian tell you?"

"He showed me some things that will happen. Some good, some deeply troublesome. I have to deal with them in my own way, Jus. But don't worry, I can handle it all."

Justin felt Michael's calmness, his determination.

"I'll abide by your words, Mico. But please, my love, don't hide anything important from me. I'm here for you always."

Michael lifted his head, looking into Justin's beautiful blue eyes.

"I will never hide anything important from you, Jus. There was indeed something else. Something that Adrian showed me. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen."

"What was it, Mico?."

Michael had tears in his eyes staring into Justin's deep blue pools.

"It was our future, Jus. Our long, happy future."

Justin smiled widely, hearing the words he'd wanted to hear from Michael.

Michael and he would have a happy life together.

"Really, Mico?"

"Yes, Jus. I saw it, my love. We will be together. Always. God has given me my life, the life I've always wanted. He's given me you."

Michael kissed him deeply, their love overflowing. Michael slowly moved towards the doorway, pulling Justin into the bedroom, both men ending up back in their loving bed together.

Their heated lovemaking sent shivers down both their bodies, both men lost in its intensity.

An hour later, both men lay together, their glowing bodies joined closely.

"My god, Mico, it just seems to get better and better." Justin purred, Michael smiling tenderly.

"I want it to never end, my love. I believe every single time will be a new beginning. I honestly believe it will be."

Justin smiled, hugging Michael tightly.

Justin's cell phone went off, Justin pulling it off the nightstand.

"Hello, Justin speaking."

"Justin, its Johnny. Glad to see you're awake. I'm in town and we need to talk. I want you at the arena by nine."

"Hi, Johnny. We don't have rehearsals till noon. It's only seven thirty." Justin looked at Michael.

"I know when you're scheduled for rehearsals. We need to talk, Justin. We need to discuss Michael."

Justin tensed up, Michael picking up on his feelings.

"Is he there, Justin?" Johnny said.

"Yes, he's here." Justin said, looking quietly at Michael.

Michael felt Justin's deep concern for him.

"Bring him with you. I want to meet him. I'll see you both here at nine."

Johnny disconnected, Justin closing his phone.

"My manager, Johnny Wright wants to meet you, Michael. I think he's found out from the crew what you mean to me."

Michael looked shocked at Justin.

"My god, Jus. He's your manager. You didn't tell him?"

"I haven't seen him since after Saturday Night Live. I talked to him when the newspaper article about Christina's attackers was released. We've both been busy. I haven't talked to him since. We've had a little excitement, Mico."

Michael smiled, kissing Justin tenderly.

"Well, I still think you should have called him. He is your manager and also your friend, Jus."

Justin nodded, lowering his head.

"I'm not chastising you Jus, I'm just letting you know my feelings. So smile, bitch."

Justin laughed, smiling widely.

"You shower quickly, I'll go wake Polo." Michael said getting up out of bed. Justin's eyes were glued to Michael's sleek body.

Justin couldn't get enough of Michael's body, it filled his soul with its beauty.

"Calm down, Timby. We don't have time for a repeat performance, love."

Justin smiled rising out of bed.

Michael looked at his large erection, seeing what he'd done to him.

"Man, I so want to push you back into bed and make love to you all day." Michael said, Justin staring at him.

"I promise you love, we'll take a day and just do that."

"I remember on sunday I'd told you I was free thursday. Today's thursday, beautiful."

Justin smiled, kissing Michael.

"Then follow me into the shower, sweet cheeks."

Michael smiled, kissing back.

"We don't want to piss off Johnny more, Jus. Get going, I'll wake Polo."

Michael slipped on his robe, walking out the door, Justin sighing and walking into the bathroom.

Thirty five minutes later the three men were hopping into the SUV.

Michael had made everyone a quick breakfast of ham and egg sandwiches, all three eating while Paulo drove.

At ten to nine they pulled up in front of the arena. Lonnie was waiting for them.

The security guard walked them in, guiding them to the management offices.

Justin and Michael were shown into a quiet, comfortable office.

Paulo remained outside the door talking with Lonnie.

Michael and Justin sat quietly, Justin seeming a bit nervous.

A short time later the door opened Justin getting up quickly.

Johnny Wright walked into the room, Lonnie quietly shutting the door behind him.

"Justin, nice to see you." Johnny walked up to him hugging him tightly.

Justin hugged Johnny back.

Johnny looked at him, then looked at Michael.

"And you must be Michael."

Michael shook his hand, Johnny nodding his head.

Johnny sat down, Michael looking at Justin.

Michael could feel Justin's nervousness and concern. His aura was turned darker.

"All right , is there something you want to tell me, Justin?" Johnny was looking right at him.

Michael talked to Justin through his mind.

"Have courage, my love. Tell him what's in your heart."

Justin looked at his manager, and friend.

"I'm gay, Johnny. Michael is my lover. We've been together for six weeks. I love him with all my heart. He's my everything. I should have told you earlier, but we've kind of been busy."

Johnny looked directly at his younger friend.

"I'm really pissed off, Justin."

Justin looked like a child about to be punished.

"Sir, it's partly my fault that Justin hasn't been able to tell you, I've had some problems lately and Justin has been my rock through it all."

Johnny looked at Michael.

"If you'd let me finish please."

Michael stopped talking, looking at Johnny.

"I was saying, Justin, that I'm pissed off. I'm pissed off that I wasn't the first to know."

Justin wasn't looking at him, his head was bowed.

"And I wasn't the first one in line to congratulate you."

Justin quickly looked up at his manager. He saw a smile forming on Johnny's face.

Johnny got up standing in front of Michael.

"I take it that I've you to thank for Justin's new found happiness."

Michael smiled at Johnny, seeing his smiling face.

"Yes, I'm the reason Justin's so happy. And he's the reason I'm so happy."

Michael smiled over at Justin.

"All I can say is I like the new Justin. He seems more centered."

Justin looked at Johnny with shocked eyes.

Johnny laughed pulling Justin up out of his chair.

"I'm happy for ya, JT."

Justin hugged his friend, Michael seeing Justin's aura glow blue again.

Justin's smile was in full force, Johnny turning to Michael.

Michael got up, Johnny hugging him tightly.

"Welcome to the family, Michael. So let's sit down and you can tell me all about yourself."

Justin sat down beside Michael, Michael taking his hand in his.

They spent almost an hour relaxing, Michael and Justin telling Johnny all that had happened.

Johnny kept looking at Michael, Michael sensing his growing admiration.

After all had been revealed, Johnny got up opening his briefcase.

"There is another reason I needed to talk to both of you."

Johnny pulled out some newspapers and magazines, handing them to Justin and Michael.

Michael saw pictures of Justin and him, different articles and photos. At the hospital news conference, in the limo and some when they'd landed in L.A.

Michael hadn't seen any photographers, he now realized the implications.

"The press is starting to pick up on your close friendship with Michael, Justin. It's only a matter of time before the real truth is revealed."

Justin looked at Michael, kissing him tenderly.

"I want that truth revealed, Johnny. I love Michael, he's my world. I'm not ashamed of him or what we have together. After I'd almost lost him I made a promise to him and to myself that I'd let the world know what he means to me."

Johnny smiled at Justin, seeing that Justin had indeed changed, for the better.

"I understand your feelings, Jus. I know and see what he means to you. I'd be blind not to see it. You got a lousy poker face, bud."

Justin blushed, his damn puppy dog look.

Michael smiled, kissing his cheek.

"Well here's what I think we should do, Jus. Start slow, be seen more with Michael. The press is hammering us for interviews with both of you. Your trouble in Chicago is big news. A pop star attacked, saved by a close friend. Every television talk show is harping for an interview. You're becoming very popular, Mr. Number One best selling writer. The only clips available and being shown on tv are the ones from Oprah."

Johnny smiled at Michael.

Johnny apparently knew all about Michael. Background checks were part of his thorough report.

"I think first thing to do would be a joint interview. Larry King is available for tomorrow night. Are you up for it?"

Michael looked shocked now, Justin putting his arm around him.

"Michael doesn't deal well with publicity, he's very shy." Justin said, feeling his nervousness.

"Welcome to the world of celebrity status, Michael." Johnny smiled.

"Damn, what have I gotten myself into." Michael shuddered, everyone laughing.

Michael's humor was showing through.

"I like him, Justin. He's alright." Johnny laughed, slapping Michael's shoulder.

"So we're on for it?"

Michael looked at Justin, seeing that Justin was leaving the decision up to him.

"Alright, lets do it." Michael said, Justin smiling, and kissing him again.

Johnny marveled at Justin's new found openness.

"Like I said, Jus. Let's take it slow. This interview will deal mostly with your friendship, with Michael's saving you and his hero status. Hell, this will help you too, Michael. Think of the books that you'll sell after this."

Michael looked at Johnny, smiling at him.

"My writing is my life, John. I want people to read my book because of its content not its "flavour of the month" author."

Justin smiled at Michael, sensing his dedication to his life's work.

"Understood, Michael. I read your book over the last week. Very powerful writing. The story was very moving. I don't think you have to worry about people doing anything of the sort."

Michael smiled.

"I'll set the interview all up. Well, you've got about an hour till rehearsals start, why don't you relax guys."

"I'd like to work on some music, let's go to the stage, Mico."

"Okay, Jus." Michael smiled, Johnny hugging both of them again.

"I'll call with the details, Jus."

"Thanks, John. Talk to you later. And we'll have you over for dinner when we get a break with the tour."

"That would be nice, I'd love to see the new house."

Yes, Michael sensed Johnny knew all about them.

Michael sat beside Justin on the piano bench on stage, Justin running through a song on the piano.

Michael watched Justin play, marveling at his beautiful gift.

His man was so talented.

Justin kept kissing him lightly every now and then.

They'd sat quietly talking out all that had happened, telling Paulo and Lonnie.

Michael knew this interview was the first step, the first step for Justin's eventual shocking revelation.

Michael knew it was weighing heavily on Justin's mind too. But he'd be there for Justin when he was ready.

They had practiced for a while, Michael eventually helping him by playing the piano while Justin ran through his vocal arrangement.

Lonnie and Paulo sat back listening. Both men thought the two of them worked well together.

Tom, the security guard walked out on stage, telling Justin that Johnny wanted to see him for a few minutes about some contracts.

Justin kissed Michael, Michael watching him leave with Lonnie. Lonnie as usual was Justin's shadow.

Michael smiled, knowing his lover had a good friend always beside him.

Paulo walked up on stage, sitting down on a chair, watching Michael playing on the piano. He was running through the number again that Justin had just sang.

Then when that was finished, Michael played his own song, the one he'd recorded for Justin.

Paulo listened, feeling the deep love emminating from the melody. He'd never heard the music before, wondering if it were Chopin or Bach.

Justin was walking down the hallway, heading back into the arena when he met Timbaland and most of the crew walking in for rehearsals.

Cassi was on Timbaland's arm, Justin seeing both his friends beaming with joy.

"Hey, guys. Why the broad smiles."

Timbaland smiled, hugging Justin.

He was about to speak when everyone heard the deep music coming from the arena.

They stood speechless, listening to the music.

"My god, Justin. Who's playing that music. I've never heard such a beautiful melody."

Justin smiled knowing the song and who was playing it.

"Let me show you guys." Justin said putting a finger to his lips to quiet them down.

Justin led the way, opening the entrance door quietly, the music increasing immediately in volume.

Everyone stood quietly, seeing Michael on stage playing the piano, his back to them.

Paulo got up from the seat he was in, walking up to the piano.

Michael was just finishing, Paulo leaning against the piano.

When he'd finished, Justin quietly told everyone to stay still. He sensed Michael wasn't finished.

"That was beautiful, Mikey. What composer was that?"

"That was someone named Mickey Tavarro." Michael beamed.

Paulo could feel the joyful mood Michael was in. He saw everyone standing at the entrance. Justin put his finger to his lips again, Paulo clueing in on their silence.

"I call it "Justin's song." It's my deep love for him put to music."

Justin teared up, Cassi smiling at his love for Michael, so evident on his face.

"I think I'd like to play one more song, Polo. "

"Go ahead, Mikey." Paulo smiled.

"Okay, Polo. Just for you. This song is one of my favorites. I think of Justin every time I hear it."

Justin could hear every word Michael was saying, his eyes tearing more.

Timbaland and Cassi, as well as the now growing number of crew members were all standing watching Michael.

Michael began playing again, closing his eyes. The rich piano sound filling the large arena.

They all stood in wonder as Michael's deep beautiful angelic voice filled the room.

when I need you

I just close my eyes and I'm with you

and all that I so want to give you

It's only a heartbeat away

when I need love

I hold out my hands and I touch love

I never knew there was so much love

keeping me warm night and day

miles and miles of empty space in between us

the telephone can't take the place of your smile

but you know I won't be travelin' forever

it's cold out, but hold out, and do like I do

when I need you

I just close my eyes and I'm with you

and all that I so wanna give you babe

it's only a heartbeat away

it's not easy when the road is your driver

honey that's a heavy load that we bear

but you know I won't be traveling a lifetime

it's cold out but hold out and do like I do

oh, I need you

when I need love

I hold out my hands and I touch love

I never knew there was so much love

keeping me warm night and day

Everyone began to move forward, surrounding Michael as he played, his eyes still closed, oblivious to the large group that now surrounded him.

Eyes were watering, lost in his beautiful voice.

Justin sat down beside him, Michael turning and opening his eyes.

He saw Justin staring into his eyes with wet tears rolling down his cheeks.

Michael smiled, continuing to sing, oblivious to everyone else, only seeing his Justin.

when I need love

I hold out my hands and I touch love

I never knew there was so much love

keeping me warm night and day

when I need you

I just close my eyes

and you're right here by my side

keeping me warm night and day

I just hold out my hands

I just hold out my hand

and I'm with you darlin'

yes, I'm with you darlin'

all I wanna give you

it's only a heartbeat away

oh I need you darling

Michael finally ended the piano music.

Everyone stood still, Michael finally looking away from Justin, seeing all the people surrounding them.

The silence was broken by Timbaland's voice.

"My god, Michael that was beyond beautiful. Your voice is like nothing I've ever heard."

Timberland began to clap his hands together.

Everyone began clapping, the applause growing louder and louder.

Michael blushed, looking at everyone applauding him.

Justin felt deep pride in his Mico. His friends had heard Michael's beautiful gift.

Everyone began patting Michael's back, all the crew moved by Michael's beautiful voice.

"Where in heaven did you learn that vocal technique, Mikey?" Timbaland said, looking at Michael with wonder and amazement.

"No where, Tim. I sing from my heart." Michael said, still embarrassed by being caught here on stage.

Justin hugged him tighter, feeling Michael's nervousness.

"I've never hear a more tightly controlled voice. Every note was pitch perfect. You're an incredible singer. Let's see about getting Johnny to hear you. You have a remarkable gift."

Michael looked up at Timbaland.

"No, Tim. I don't want to be a singer. I am a writer, first and always. It's my life. I'm sorry, I'll leave the singing to the professionals, like you and this sexy man here." Michael kissing Justin's cheek.

Justin looked into Michael's eyes, so wanting Michael to go for this.

"Are you sure, Mikey. I can set you up with some great musicians. You're the best I've ever heard." Timbaland said, looking at Justin first.

Michael blushed, Lonnie and Paulo both looking at Justin.

"If I ever decide that, you'll be the second one I come to Tim, after JC." Michael smiled.

Timbaland smiled widely, Cassi hugging Michael and kissing his cheek.

Michael knew why they were smiling, but played it dumb.

"You two seem to be in a great mood, was my singing that great."

Timbaland smiled looking at everyone.

"Can I have everyone's attention, please."

Everyone quieted down, looking at Timbaland.

"First off, I want to apologize to all of you. Four weeks ago, I got some bad news. I was diagnosed with a large lung tumor, an inoperable tumor."

Everyone looked shocked, the silence deafening.

"That is why I've been so moody these past few weeks. I had a lot on my mind. I took all my anger and frustration out on all of you. For that I'm deeply sorry."

Justin got up, walking to Timba, hugging him.

Timba continued with his talking, his emotions showing openly.

"I also walked away from my Cassi. I didn't want her to see the final months of my life, sick and ill. Michael here showed me that I was wrong. Instead of pushing away from her, I should have been holding onto her, feeling her deep love. I should have had her love with me. I have it now, her deep love."

Cassi hugged him close to her, kissing his cheek.

Timbaland looked around at everyone seeing tears in most eyes. All except in Michael's eyes.

Timbaland kissed Cassi, everyone crowding around him.

They all hugged him, some breaking down, others showing him their love.

Once everyone had their emotions more under control, Timbaland continued.

"But I have good news. Wonderful, unbelievable news. I went to my doctors this morning. They took x-rays again. The tumor is gone, completely gone. It's a miracle. That's all it can be. Mikey, you were right, god does look upon true love with kindness. He's saved my life so I can love this beautiful woman."

Cassi kissed him deeply, eveyone seeing their love radiating again.

Justin looked at Michael, seeing Michael smiling at him, the two feeling each other's thoughts.

"Thank you, Mico. What you've done for him. For her, and for me."

"I love you, Jus. I see great things for both of them, their love needed to go on."

Justin smiled as Michael got up off the bench, walking up to Timbaland.

He hugged him tightly, then hugged Cassi.

"I'm so happy for both of you, for your love and this new beginning."

Timba smiled at him, seeing Michael's golden eyes staring at him.

"You are a remarkable man, Mikey. I sense you had something to do with this." Timberland looked at him.

"God had his hand in this, Tim, not me." Michael smiled at him.

Justin saw Michael's reluctance to let Timba know the truth. Justin would abide by Michael's decision.

"All I know is that I feel great." Timba said.

"That's all that matters, Tim. I think you guys should get going with rehearsals. I'm going to take off, Jus. I have some shopping to help Paulo with, remember?"

"Oh yeah, Paulo's big date." Justin smiled at his brother.

Paulo smiled, blushing at Michael.

"Okay, babe. I'll talk to you later. Have fun, okay?"

Michael kissed him, saying goodbye to everyone.

Paulo and Michael left throught the entrance door, Timbaland and Justin watching him go.

"Michael's sure is something else, Jus. I think there's a lot about that man that even you don't know."

Justin smiled.

"I know a lot, Timba, and he still keeps surprising me."

Timbaland smiled at his friend, his love showing on his face for Michael.

"Let's get working on this song, Jus."

Michael drove towards the downtown shopping district, Paulo watching him quietly.

"Why didn' t you tell him, Mikey? Tim should know."

Michael smiled at his brother.

"He doesn't need to know about me, Polo. All he needs to know is god has given him a new life, and I believe he'll live it to the fullest."

Paulo smiled.

"I think you're right, bro."

Michael smiled seeing Paulo was now comfortable with their new relationship.

"I know I'm right, bro."

The two brothers spent the day shopping together, really getting to know each other closer.

Michael learned all about Paulo's childhood with his grandfather, about his home in Spain. Michael was looking forward to seeing Zamora, his family's birthplace.

They finally found a nice outfit for Paulo.

Michael selected a dark green Armani suit jacket with a black silk shirt, crisp dark coloring, to accent Paulo's bright emerald eyes. Black dress pants to match his black wavy hair.

"My little bro looks damn sharp." Michael smiled stepping back and looking at him in the mirror.

Michael could see people stopping and looking at Paulo, his looks were breathtaking.

"Mikey, I'm not your little brother. I'm taller and weigh more than you." Paulo said looking at him with a raised eye brow.

"You're younger than me, you'll always be my little brother, stretch."

Paulo was about three inches taller than Michael, and weighed in at a muscular 210.

At six foot two, he was tall and handsome.

Paulo laughed, Michael smiling.

"And Jake is going to do a double take when he sees you. I hope I have enough paper towels."

"Paper towels, Mikey?" Paulo looked confused.

"He'll cream his pants when he sees you. I'll need to clean up."

Paulo stared in shock at him, Michael doubling over in laughter.

"You are sick, Mikey. Just plain sick." Paulo shaking his head.

"But you love me, right?"

Paulo smiled. "Damn right."

Michael hugged him.

"Yep, that's the outfit. No doubt about it."

Michael paid for the clothing while Paulo changed, his present to Paulo.

Paulo handed Michael the outfit, the clerk putting it in a garment bag.

When Paulo walked out of the change room, Michael handed him the bag.

"This is my gift to you, Paulo. My contribution to your first night of happiness."

Paulo looked stunned at Michael.

"No words need saying, brother. Let's go." Michael turning and walking out of the store.

Paulo followed lost in his love for this special man.

They stopped briefly for a quick lunch, laughing together and just talking.

Paulo was walking beside Michael down the outdoor mall past a book store when he spotted something cool.

"Hey, Mikey. Look at this."

Michael turned towards Paulo, Paulo pointing at the store window.

There on display was Michael's book.

Michael walked up to the window, staring at his novel. Several copies were on display as well as a large photograph of Michael's face from the newspaper article.

The typeface proclaimed America's newest best seller.

Michael stood speechless, finally seeing his life's work on display for the world to see.

Paulo put his arm around Michael seeing the affect it had on him.

For the first time Paulo saw Michael speechless.

A clerk was standing just inside the window, looking at the two handsome men looking in. She looked at Michael then looked again at the picture, back and forth, what was in front of her finally sinking in.

She walked out of the store, going up to him.

"You're Michael Tavarro. The writer. That's your book in the window." She said, a look of admiration on her face.

Paulo looked around, seeing a few people in the store and on the mall looking over.

"Yes, I'm Michael Tavarro. It's the first time I've seen my book on display like this. It's a little overwhelming." Michael smiled at her, the lady smiling back.

"Would it be too much trouble to ask you to sign a few books, Mr. Tavarro. For myself and my co-workers. We've all read your novel. It was so touching and beautiful."

"I'd be happy too. " Michael said, Paulo not too sure about this.

Michael followed her into the store, Paulo right behind him.

The clerk, Sally, introduced herself and her three co-workers to Michael, Michael shaking all their hands.

He signed several books for them, all the employees seemingly overjoyed at Michael's presence.

Michael talked with them for a while, all of them voicing their love and admiration for his novel.

Michael was practically beaming, Paulo seeing his smiling face.

"Mico, what's making you so happy, love?" Justin's thoughts entering Michael's mind.

"If I told you, I don't think you'd believe me, sweetie." Michael replied, Justin sensing his wonder.

Paulo was looking around, noticing one clerk talking to a customer, that customer leaving, then suddenly more people coming into the store. Paulo estimated thirty people had quickly entered the small store.

And he saw them all staring at Michael.

He caught a flash of a camera, Michael looking towards the people.

"I think it's time to go, Michael. It's getting a little crowded in here." Paulo said, looking around and sneaking up close to Michael.

Michael sensed Paulo's unrest, looking around suddenly.

He saw that he was beginning to be hemmed into a corner of the store, with no escape.

People started asking him questions, copies of his book coming into view. More cameras started flashiing.

"Mico, what's going on. Are you okay? What's wrong?" Justin's words not really sinking into Michael's mind. His mind was focused on their sudden situation.

"It's getting a little tense here right now, Jus. I've got to get out of here. I'm feeling trapped. I need to get out of here."

Justin immediately picked up on Michael's feelings of anxiety.

His feelings of fear.

"What's going on, Mico. Calm down, love. Take a deep breath, center yourself."

Justin could feel Michael fighting his own feelings and not listening.

"Mico, I love you, focus on that, calm down and focus on my love."

Paulo immediately saw Michael's fear, and his anxiety.

Michael took a deep breath, trying to center himself.

He heard Justin's voice, the richness of his words, and the love.

Then Paulo saw Michael's face changing, a calming presence settling on his face.

Michael looked at him smiling.

"Unfortunately I have to leave everyone, thank you for buying my book. Please enjoy it and hopefully understand what I've tried to say in this book. Thank you so much."

Michael smiled, beginning to force his way slowly out of the store, signing books from people as he walked out, Paulo right beside him.

They walked out onto the mall, Paulo guiding him quickly towards their car.

The people slowly let them go, the two men finally alone again.

Michael sank onto a bench outside, Paulo sitting beside him.

"You okay, Mikey? It got a little tense in there."

Michael smiled at him.

"I'm okay, Polo. Justin calmed me down."

"Thanks, lover." Michael talked to Justin.

"Everything, okay now babe?" Justin replied, Michael hearing the love in his voice.

"With you in my soul, everything will always be okay. Love you, Timby."

Justin's smile filled Michael heart.

"Love ya back lover."

"I'll explain it all to you later, Jus. We're heading home."

"Okay, Mico. I'll be home around six. We're cutting it short today. Timba want to celebrate his new happiness."

"You should stay with your friend, Jus."

"No, love I want to be with you. I have lots of time now to be with Timba, thanks to you."

Michael smiled, Paulo knowing Justin was being Michael's rock.

"Later, babe."

"Later, love."

Michael smiled at Paulo.

"Let's go home Paulo and get you ready for Mr. Gyllenhaal."

Paulo smiled, Michael's smile every larger.
