Previously
Just before midnight he woke Justin.
Justin smiled at his man, kissing his warm lips.
"It's almost midnight, my love. Time to see the new year in." Michael said, kissing him back again.
Justin got up retrieving two glasses of ice water.
"It's not champagne, but it'll have to do."
Michael smiled taking his glass.
Justin looked at Michael, their eyes meeting as one.
"Here's to the new year, my love. May our love grow each day, may happiness see us fall asleep in each other's arms each night. I love you, Mico. Happy New Year my love."
Michael teared up, not losing his gaze with Justin.
"Here's to the best years of our lives. To our future together, to our unending love. I love you so much, Timby. You'll always be my everything. Love ya, and Happy New Year."
Both men kissed deeply, as the clock hit twelve.
The room was quiet, the two alone.
But in their hearts, minds and souls, fireworks were going off.
Chapter 58
Josh and Lance walked back into their hotel room, Josh flopping down on the couch.
Lance smiled at him, sitting down beside him.
It was after two a.m.
"Man, I've never danced so much. Vicky and Christina love to dance." Josh laughed.
Lance laughed, his own feet sore.
"And Nana and Lynn loved the waltzing. I've never danced so slow, so much."
"You were turning a lot of heads, Lancy. Your graceful moves were captivating." Josh said, rubbing Lance's leg.
Lance blushed, feeling his own dancing was nothing compared to Josh's.
"Thanks, Josh, but you're the dancing star, not me."
"Well I think you're just as good."
"Thanks Josh, I only wished we could have danced together, it would have been beautiful." Lance said looking at Josh.
Josh saw those sparkling green eyes staring at him.
"Well what's to stop us here."
Josh got up walking to the stereo, putting on some soft music.
He walked back over to Lance, bowing.
"May I have this dance, beautiful sir."
Lance smiled, looking into Josh's smiling face.
"I'm sorry, my card's full." Lance turned his head, looking away from Josh.
Josh smirked.
"Well, that's truly an awful shame. I think you're the most stunningly beautiful creature I've ever seen. It would be a shame not to hold you against me."
Lance looked back at Josh now seeing his loving face completely serious, the words he'd spoken meant with all his heart.
"In that case, how could I refuse such a beautiful man. I'd love to dance."
Josh extending his hand, lifting Lance up and taking him in his arms.
The two moved around the hotel room, Josh leading, Lance resting his head on Josh's chest.
He could hear Josh's heart beating beneath his black silk shirt.
"Let's stay like this forever, the two of us here, dancing." Lance purred.
Josh smiled, continuing to dance.
"Ah, if only life were like that, sweetie. Unfortunately, we have responsibilities and careers, my love."
Lance smiled, knowing Josh was right.
The music stopped, Josh stopping but not releasing Lance.
Lance raised his head, looking into Josh's blue eyes.
Within a heartbeat their lips had met, their feelings flowing between each other.
Lance couldn't believe the feelings of love that poured into his heart.
Michael had given him such a wonderful gift.
He broke the kiss, looking into Josh's eyes again.
"Wow." They both said at the same time.
"I can't believe what Michael's done for us." Lance said, Josh smiling.
"I know. The love I feel from you, Lance, it's unbelieveable."
Josh began to cry, Lance shocked.
He hugged him close, Josh sobbing into Lance's chest.
"What's wrong, my Joshy?" Lance said, concerned.
It took Josh a few moments to calm down, sitting down again on the couch, Lance sitting beside him.
"I've never felt so much love, Lance. To think that you have those feelings for me, it just moves me so much." Josh said looking into Lance's green eyes.
"I want to write songs about the depth of your love, sweetie." Josh continued.
Lance was tearing up now.
"Oh, Josh. That's so beautiful. I know how much music means to you. That you'd want to do that for me, it makes me love you so much."
Josh smiled, lowering his head.
Lance put his hand under Josh's chin, lifting it.
He bent forward kissing Josh, the kiss soon turning into a heated passion.
Both men felt the desire rush through them, the need and want.
Josh pulled back.
"I don't want to do this, Lance. Not till your ready."
Lance looked deeply at him.
"I'm ready, Josh. I need you so much. I've been watching you all night, watching you watching me. You care so much for me, it just amazes me. I want to make you happy, Josh. I want to be with you."
Josh ran his hand gently along Lance's cheek.
"Are you sure, my love?"
"That says it all right there, Josh. I'm your love. No one's ever called me that and meant it." Lance looked down.
"I mean it with every part of my soul and heart, Lance." Josh now lifting his head. They kissed again, tenderly and passionately.
Lance stood up, extending his hand.
Josh took it, Lance pulling him up.
They walked together into the bedroom.
They'd shared a bed together for over a week now, two friends holding onto each other.
Tonight would be so much more.
Tonight would be the beginnings of their passion, their true love.
Lance stopped in front of the large king size bed.
He looked at Josh, seeing the beautiful man before him.
Josh's gaze was on Lance's beautiful face.
"I love you, Lance."
"I love you, Joshua."
They met together, in a first kiss of passion, a first burning connection. Their body wrapped around each other.
Josh remained calm, letting Lance be in control, all his feelings pouring into Lance.
Lance felt Josh letting him control things, that urging Lance onward.
Lance's fingers found the buttons on Josh's black shirt, opening it slowly, exposing Josh's smooth torso.
Lance ran his hands along Josh's chest, feeling its hardness and yet smooth skin.
It sent Lance's heart racing, the heat from Josh igniting his own desires.
Lance pulled the shirt off Josh, letting it fall to the floor.
They broke their kiss, Lance licking down onto Josh's neck. Josh moaned, Lance feeling his desire below.
Their bodies were against each other, their heat uniting.
Lance began licking down Josh's chest, licking each small hard nipple, sucking each one, making Josh gasp.
Lance began to sink to his knees, Josh stopping him.
"No, Lance. You will not be submissive. Not with me. We are one, two parts of the same heart. Let me please you as much as you will please me."
Lance began to cry. Josh holding him against his naked chest.
"Oh, Josh. That means so much to me. That you want to please me."
"Why wouldn't I, you're so beautiful, you excite me so much."
Josh kissed him again, Lance feeling Josh's love.
Josh pulled Lance's green silk shirt open, baring his smooth chest.
Josh lightly touched his chest, sending Lance into a whimpering mood.
Josh smiled, reveling in his exciting Lance.
He kissed his lips again, Lance kissing deeply back.
Josh gently fell back on the bed, pulling Lance on top of him.
They kissed and touched each other, gently, then passionately, exploring each other's chest and body.
Slowly but lovingly they undressed each other, Lance and Josh together in their bed, naked.
Their bodies seemed to meld together as one, a perfect fit.
And Josh, his caring and loving touch sent Lance to new heights of ecstasy and happiness.
They both explored each other, tasting each other's bodies and heated centers.
Their heated passion was increasing, Josh sensing Lance's new found abandonment. Josh knew now what he had to do, to make Lance finally see what he meant to him, what he meant to someone who loved him.
"Lance, I need you. I love you and I need you so much. Make love to me, my love."
Lance stared into Josh's eyes.
"You mean it, Josh? You want me to make love to you?"
"Yes, Lance. I love you, and I give myself to you, completely. I want you inside me, a part of me. Now, please, my love, please."
Lance could see the longing, the need in Josh's blue eyes.
"For you, my love. Anything and everything." Lance said kissing him deeply.
Josh pulled the lube and condoms out of the drawer beside the bed.
" I see you come prepared, Mr. Chasez."
Josh's face fell.
"Oh god, Lance. It's not that. I didn't expect this, honestly."
Lance put a finger on Josh's lips.
"I'm kidding, my love. I know you're always prepared, you forget I've known you for years."
Josh smiled, Lance kissing him deeply again, taking the lube from Josh's hand.
Lance broke the kiss, licking down Josh's chest again.
Josh moaned as Lance began to lick his cock.
Lance had fallen in love with Josh's cock. It was large, long and sleek. It seemed to fit his mouth perfectly. And it tasted like heaven.
Lance heated Josh's desires, Josh moaning.
While Lance sucked him, he applied lube to his fingers, opening Josh's legs wider.
Josh jumped at the coldness of the lube, Lance actually laughing.
"Sorry, babe. It's a bit cold." Lance chuckled, looking up into Josh's eyes.
He saw something he wasn't expecting. He stopped chuckling immediately.
He saw fear.
"Josh, are you okay?"
Josh was trembling a bit, his gaze going to Lance's green eyes.
"I've never done this before, Lance. I've only topped."
Lance looked stunned.
"Then why do you want to do it now?"
Josh looked into Lance's green eyes.
"Because I love you, and I want to be with you. You're the only one I want to do this with. I want this with only you, my love."
Lance had tears running down his face, he moved up kissing Josh deeply.
Josh locked his lips around Lance's, wrapping his legs around Lance's back.
"Make love to me Lance, make me yours forever."
Lance looked deeply into Josh's blue eyes, lost in his intense gaze.
"I love you, Joshua."
Josh moaned as Lance guided himself into him, slowly, and patiently.
He went in with no pain, as if he was always meant to be there.
Josh stared into Lance's green eyes, seeing his love and hope.
"I love you, Lance."
Lance smiled and sank deep into Josh.
Their rhythm began, a motion of love, a flight of eternal bliss.
The two as one, both lost in their passion and love.
They both exploded together, both kissing and lost in the passion.
And then Josh began to cry.
Lance held him, so lost in the beauty of Josh's innocence.
That Josh loved him that much, to give himself, first and only, to him, moved Lance beyond words.
"I never believed it was this beautiful, that it felt that wonderful. Oh god, Lance. You're so amazing."
Lance smiled.
He felt so alive. In one night of passion, Josh had changed Lance's life.
"It's you that's amazing, Josh. You've opened my eyes to a new way of seeing life. I feel alive, for once in my life I feel alive. I have someone who loves me, for me. Not for my body, but for me. I see it and I feel it in you, Josh. I love you, now and forever."
Josh looked so beautiful, Lance kissing him again.
"I love you too, Lance. Now and forever." Josh said, falling into Lance's arms, laying his head now on Lance's heart.
There together, in that warm bed of love, the two soulmates fell into a peaceful slumber.
Michael awoke, his head resting on Justin's chest. Justin was lightly snoring, Michael rising up.
He slowly and quietly got out of bed, not disturbing Justin.
He walked over to the washroom, his equilibrium still a little out of whack.
He took it slow as he balanced himself.
After using the washroom, he quietly opened the door.
What he beheld startled him.
Daniel was sitting on the couch looking at him.
"Hello, Daniel." Michael smiled at him.
"Hello, Mikey D." Daniel smiled back.
Michael walked over, Daniel seeing his off balanced walk.
Michael sat down beside him, hugging him close.
Daniel saw Michael's sudden tears.
"I'm sorry about your father, Daniel. I didn't mean to kill him. I only wanted to stop him from hurting my friends."
Daniel hugged him tight.
"It's alright, Michael. You did the right thing, the only thing possible. My father got was he was entitled to. He has paid for what he did, to me and to you. God has given out his judgement."
"Are you happy, Daniel? Are you happy walking with me."
Daniel smiled a large grin.
"I am truly blessed, Michael. I have felt your love inside me, it's made me happy. And being with you like this, and each day, is the greatest gift god could have given me."
Michael smiled, seeing Daniel's happiness.
"How are you, Michael?" Daniel asked, Michael seeing the love on his face.
"I'm well, and getting better."
"That's why I'm here, Michael. You need some help."
Michael looked at Daniel, his eyes smiling at him.
"God wants to give you something, Michael. Something to help."
Michael nodded, Daniel touching his face.
Michael's vision went blank, seeing only bright white.
Within a moment his vision cleared.
Michael looked around, sensing what he'd been given.
He looked at Daniel, seeing tears in his eyes.
"What's wrong, Daniel? Why are you crying?"
Daniel hugged Michael again.
"I'm just glad everything's worked out for you, Mikey. Justin is so gentle and loving. You deserve that happiness."
Michael smiled, seeing Daniel's acceptance of Justin.
"He makes me happier than I've ever been."
Daniel separated from Michael, then looked into his golden eyes.
"You know what's being asked of you, in regards to the prophecy?"
"Yes, Daniel, Adrian told me many years ago."
"I didn't know about it, Michael. Not until after your soul was healed. You carry a heavy burden, and a great task lies ahead of you."
Michael nodded.
"Do you know what the final outcome will be, Daniel?"
"No, Michael, I don't. That's not for me to know. All I can say is that your love, your unyielding love will play a major role. Never give up on that, or on Justin's love either."
Michael smiled.
"I never will give up on him, or his love. He's part of me."
Daniel smiled, looking off into the distance.
"I have to go, Mikey. Go back to your love, he's getting restless."
As if by Daniel's voice, Michael heard Justin stirring in the bed.
"Michael? You okay?" Michael heard from the hospital bed.
Michael turned back from looking towards the bed to find Daniel gone.
Michael walked back to the bed, feeling much better, his balance normal.
He crawled back in, snuggling up to Justin.
"I'm fine, love. Go back to sleep."
"Okay, Mico." Justin hugged him tighter.
"Love ya, Jus."
"Love ya more, Mico."
They fell asleep as one.
Lance woke up, sensing a movement beside him.
He turned his head to the left looking into Josh's blue eyes.
"Morning, sexy." Josh said smiling.
"Morning, gorgeous."
Josh laughed.
"No one's ever called me gorgeous. I always thought it was feminine meaning."
Lance was about to apologize, when Josh put his finger to his lips.
"Coming from you, I know it means so much more."
Lance smiled, licking Josh's finger.
Josh smiled, rubbing his wet finger along Lance's cheek.
"Ewwww, Josh, that's wet."
Josh laughed, kissing Lance.
Josh looked pensive, all of a sudden.
"Last night was a first for me, Lance. It felt like my first night of love making, real love making, not sex."
Lance nodded, looking into Josh's blue oceans of love.
"And it was the most beautiful night of my life. Now I know why Justin smiles. I know what it's like to be loved by an angel."
Lance had tears rolling down his cheeks, Josh kissing him again.
"I love you, Lancy. Always." Josh said.
"I love you even more, my precious sweetheart." Lance kissing him again.
"What time is it, sexy." Josh asked, Lance looking up at the clock.
"It's almost nine thirty. We really should get up and get to the hospital."
"How about a shower, a nice shower for two." Josh wiggled his eyebrows.
"Sounds exciting. I'll meet you there."
Josh got up, Lance looking at his naked form.
"See anything you like, sweetie." Josh smirked at him.
"I like everything I see, lover." Lance smiled, blushing.
Josh leaned down again, kissing Lance's forehead.
"And it's all yours, lover."
Lance beamed with a wide grin, climbing out of bed and following Josh into the bathroom.
Michael woke up, seeing the morning sunlight shining in his face.
A shadow fell across his face, a smiling face looking into his own.
"Morning, Michael." Nana said, smiling widely at him.
"Good morning, Nana. Happy New Year." He leaned up kissing her cheek.
Michael turned and found Justin gone.
"Your man is downstairs getting some breakfast. I sent him to get some food into him." She said sitting down beside him in a chair.
"How ya feeling ,sweetie."
Michael stretched, feeling rested and energized.
"Feeling pretty good, Nana. What brings you here so early."
"You know me, up at the break of dawn." She smiled.
Michael looked over and saw Uncle Silas sitting in another chair smiling at him.
"Morning, Unky." Michael said, Silas smiling more.
He got up, coming up and hugging him.
"You're looking a lot better, Mikey. You'll be up and back on your feet shortly." Silas said, seeing Nana frown.
"It's okay, Nana. I'm going to be okay. No one will be able to hurt me now." Michael said, staring at her.
She sensed Michael was telling her the truth.
"What do you mean, Michael?" She said, touching his shoulder.
Michael looked up at the ceiling, as if he was thinking about something.
"Let's just say I am better prepared now. I've been given another gift from god."
Michael looked into her golden eyes, Nana seeing a difference there. A more determined, fearless Michael.
"I have god's love now, Nana. And his strength."
He kissed her cheek, Nana still staring at him.
Justin walked into the room, seeing a tender moment in front of him.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to intrude." He said, smiling.
"It's okay, Jus. What did you bring me?" Michael looking at what he carried in his hands.
"Oh, I see, I'm sweet as long as I feed you."
Michael smiled.
Justin walked up to him, pulling out a milkshake and a burrito out of the bag.
"That's sweet, Jus. But I'm hungry for something sweeter."
Michael pulled him down by his shirt collar, kissing him deeply.
Nana smiled as did Silas.
"I love having dessert before breakfast."
Justin laughed, staring into Michael's golden eyes.
Justin saw a change in those eyes, a deep determination and a lack of fear.
He looked at Nana, seeing her watching Michael.
He knew she'd seen the look also.
Justin also felt Michael's enriched soul, overflowing with love.
His mother's and father's love, and something more.
Justin sensed that Michael may have been touched in some way by god.
It only made sense to him, Michael had gone to heaven, and returned.
Justin smiled at him, Michael kissing him again lightly, then grabbing the milkshake out of his hand.
Justin smirked at Michael's sneakiness.
He said down beside Michael, Nana sitting in the chair again.
"So, Justin. You're leaving this afternoon?" She said watching Michael.
"Yes, unfortunately. But I know my Mico's being taken care of, by all you and god's love."
Michael smiled at him, seeing Justin's acceptance of their parting.
"It's only for a few days, love. You'll be back at home in no time."
Michael smiled, kissing him on the cheek.
Michael spent the morning with Justin, the two staying close to each other.
People came and went, all seeing their closeness, and seeing something different about Michael.
Josh and Lance walked in around eleven thirty, smiling at Michael.
Michael looked at the two, smiling widely.
"Love always finds a way." Was all he said and needed to say.
Josh and Lance both smiled, hugging him.
Justin looked on, not sure what was going on.
He remained quiet, knowing Michael would tell him.
Michael turned and looked at Justin, Justin smiling at him.
"Seems our lovebirds are now connected in their love in all ways." Michael said to him.
Justin looked at his friends, seeing Josh's and Lance's beaming eyes.
Justin smiled widely, getting up and hugging his two friends.
"I'm so happy for both of you, especially you, Lancy." Justin hugged him.
Lance smiled, his eyes locked on Josh's.
"It was beyond beautiful. I never imagined the beauty of Josh's desire." Lance said, Josh wrapping his arms around him, kissing his cheek.
Justin and Michael both saw Josh's love for Lance, and Michael sensed what Josh had done for Lance.
"So, Mikey. How are you doing?" Josh ask hopping onto his bed.
"I'm bored out of my skull." He said smirking at Justin.
"Nice to see I can keep you happy." Justin said, his famous pout coming on his face.
"I wish you would keep me happy." He winked at Justin.
Justin blushed, then laughed.
"You're such a horndog."
Michael kissed him lightly.
"Yeah, but I'm your horndog." Michael smiled.
"Got that right, babe." Justin kissed him back, hugging him close.
Josh and Lance smiled, knowing Michael's need for Justin. They could all see it in his eyes. And they both picked up on something else there.
Zach walked in smiling at Michael, followed by Christina and Becky.
"Hey, that's against doctor's orders, get out of that bed, Justin." Zach smirked.
Justin got up quickly, running and picking Becky up.
Michael raised one finger, saluting Zach.
Zach laughed, as did Christina, Becky not seeing the gesture. She was in Justin's arms, where the world disappeared for her.
Michael looked at Justin playing with Becky, smiling to himself.
"So what's the good word, Dr. Warren?" Michael looked at Zach, then seeing a sudden change in his face.
Zach looked around at everyone, asking Josh to close the door.
Josh quickly closed it, Zach sitting down on Michael's bed.
"Mikey, we're stumped. Completely stumped."
Michael looked at Zach, sensing what he was talking about.
"All your tests are so confusing, so utterly confusing. You're beyond comprehension."
"I'm one of a kind alright." Michael said not looking at anyone.
Justin sensed Michael's quiet demeanor.
He sat down beside him, Becky climbing into Michael's lap, smiling up at him.
Michael smiled at her, hugging her close, kissing her cheek.
Josh looked at Michael, also sensing his quiet mood.
"Okay, Zach. Out with it." Michael said.
"Michael, we've run all our diagnostic tests, bloodwork, etc. There are a lot of things that are amazing us."
"I'm sure they are." Michael said quietly.
"Your blood, it has the highest count of white blood cells we've ever encountered. There are also things in it that are unbelieveable. And your rate of accelerated growth in your tissue is amazing. Plus your brain waves are all off the charts. What's going on, Michael?"
Michael looked at everyone, taking a deep breath.
"I'm a freak. That's what's going on." Michael lay back, Justin looking at him.
"I've never gone to doctors or been in hospitals, Zach. Because I didn't want anyone prying. My body is different from all of you. I learned that a long time ago. I'm very different."
Zach looked at his friend, sensing Michael's mood. He put his hand on his shoulder.
"You are different, Mikey. Different in your kindness, your love and your beauty. It doesn't change who you are, it makes you special, my friend."
Michael smiled at Zach, seeing his deep love.
"Thanks, Zacky." Michael turned his head and looked at Justin.
"My blood and my body are different. Because of my gifts. They have changed my being, altered me so that I could hold them. You don't realize the magnitude of what I carry inside me, what it entails to control it. It runs through every part of me. But now I've been given more, even more to control. If you'll look under my bandage, Zach, you'll see what I've been given."
Zach looked at Justin, Justin shrugging his shoulders.
Zach removed the bandage, everyone gasping.
There was no wound, no mark. The bullet hole was gone.
Zach stared, looking in disbelief.
"Michael, that's impossible. It's completely gone." Zach instinctively pulled up Michael's shirt, revealing his upper chest. The bullet hole there was also gone. Only smooth blemish free skin showed.
"I can now heal myself, Zach. I can heal my own wounds."
Michael looked at Justin, seeing tears running down his face.
"I've been given this gift for one reason, Jus. So that I can be whole, to face what's to come. To be strong and to be fit."
Michael put his hand in Justin's.
"You don't have to worry any more, my love. Nothing can hurt me now, I can heal myself as well as others. It's god's gift to me, his love is in me, and it's there to protect me."
Justin hugged Michael close, Michael holding him as he cried.
"Never fear for me, my love. I'm safe in god's love, and in yours."
Christina was crying as was Lance, Josh holding him tight. Everyone seeing the new Michael before them.
"So, Zach. I want to get out of this place, before I'm ripped apart by confused doctors. Understand what I mean?"
Zach nodded, seeing Michael now healed before him.
"I'll sign the release papers, you can leave today."
Justin looked up, looking at Zach then at Michael.
Michael smiled.
"You didn't think I was letting you out of my sight, cutie." Michael said kissing him.
Justin practically beamed. He hugged Michael, Michael feeling his joy and relief.
"Let's go home, Jus. I want to go home."
Everyone smiled, amazed at Michael's smiling face.
Paulo walked into the room, followed by Alberto and Jake.
"I'm a free bird, Mikey. They just released me." Paulo smiling at him.
They all stopped, seeing Michael's uncovered head, and seeing no wound.
"That's great , Paulo." Michael said, smiling at him, still seeing the pain Paulo was in.
"Come here, cousin." Michael smiled at him, patting the other side of the bed.
Paulo looked at Justin in awe, Justin smiling.
Paulo sat down beside Michael.
Michael put his hand on Paulo's chest, where his wound was. A blue glow emanated from his chest.
Paulo felt a warmth enter his body.
Michael smiled, looking into Paulo's emerald eyes.
"Now we're both healed."
Paulo moved his arms across his chest, feeling no pain. He stood up, pulling his shirt up.
Everyone stared at his smooth muscular chest. Where there was no wound.
Paulo looked at Michael.
"I take care of those I love, Paulo." Michael said.
Paulo teared up, sitting down again and hugging Michael to him, Michael patting his back.
"I love you, Cousin. Always."
Paulo sobbed, Michael holding onto him, Justin patting his back also.
Alberto stood watching his two grandsons hold each other.
He'd now seen before his own eyes Michael's gift of healing.
And he saw Michael was healed too.
"You are the messenger of god, Michael. Truly you are." He said.
Michael smiled at his grandfather, getting up out of the bed and walking up to him.
"I am that, my Poppa."
Michael hugged his grandfather.
Michael pulled away from him smiling.
"Now I need to take a shower, it's been a few days. I smell."
Alberto laughed, patting Michael's shoulder.
"I think you smell wonderful, my grandson."
Michael smiled, asking Zach to show him where he could shower.
The two walked out of Michael's room.
Everyone turned and looked at Justin.
"Hey, I'm just as surprised as you. He wasn't like this last night." He said smiling.
"The man never ceases to amaze me." Justin said, Christina hugging him.
"That's our Mikey. He's one of a kind." She smiled.
"And he's mine." Justin said, Lance now hugging him.
"I think it's time you know what I'm planning. " Justin said, Josh smiling at him.
The two friends told everyone what Justin was planning for Michael.
Christina thought it was a fantastic idea, the day would mean so much more to Michael.
Lance felt the same, marveling at Justin's deep concern for Michael's happiness.
His friend was going to marry a special man.
"Where are you going to propose, Justin?" Christina asked.
Justin smiled, telling her. Her smile was large and wide.
Michael walked back into the room, feeling greatly refreshed. The shower had done its magic.
Justin sat in his bed, alone in the room.
"So where did everyone disappear to." Michael asked.
"Josh and Lance have gone back to the hotel to pack. Paulo has arranged the jet again to fly us back."
Michael smiled, his cousin looking after him as usual.
Zach came into the room carrying some forms.
"Well, Mikey. You're officially discharged. Just sign these and you can go."
Michael smiled taking the forms from Zach.
Zach stood quietly while Michael finished signing everything.
Justin felt Zach's mood, sensing what was coming.
When Michael handed the papers back Zach held onto his hand.
"I'm going to miss you, Michael. I only hope you'll stay safe and happy."
Michael looked into Zach's eyes, seeing his love there.
Michael stood, hugging Zach to him, the two friends holding onto each other.
"It's okay, Zach. I'm going to be okay, I promise."
Zach nodded, letting his friend go.
"Then get to hell out of here. Dr. Samuels begins his rounds in an hour, I want you gone before he gets here."
Michael smiled, Justin handing him some new clothes.
"Change in the bathroom, love. I'll call Lonnie, he should almost be here."
"Oh, Justin. There are a lot of reporters downstairs also. Word got out that you were here all last night. You're going to be mobbed downstairs." Zach said.
"I can handle those. It's time I made a statement." Justin said, waiting for Michael to come back from the washroom.
"I don't think it's time just yet for that statement." Zach put his hand on Justin's shoulder.
"No, not yet. Mikey and I have agreed on that, I'm starting my tour first. That will come later."
"We'll all behind you, Jus. And Michael will be right beside you."
Justin smiled, hugging Zach again.
Michael walked out of the bathroom, looking sexy in a black turtleneck and black jeans.
Justin stared at him, looking into his golden eyes.
"Man, Mico, black is so your color. You look ravishing."
Michael burst out laughing, Justin blushing.
"Jussy, men don't look ravishing." He smiled, hugging his love.
"But this man loves to be ravished." Michael purred.
Justin smiled, kissing Michael.
"Okay, you two. Calm down. You can hold your urges until you get home."
Lonnie walked into the room, smiling, then stopping suddenly.
He stared at Michael, seeing him smiling at him.
Michael ran up to him hugging him.
"Yes, Lon, I'm peachy keen. All better, and healthy with god's love."
Lonnie stared at him, looking at his head, seeing no mark.
"It's god's miracle, Mikey. It's god's doing."
Michael smiled.
"Let's go home, Lon. Let's blow this popsicle stand."
Zach laughed.
"This popsicle stand is my livelihood, Mikey. Don't forget that."
Michael turned and hugged Zach.
"What you've done for me will never be forgotten, Zacky."
Zach teared up, hugging Michael tightly, Justin patting Zack's back.
"It's time, Zach. I'll call ya when we're home."
"Please do that, Mikey. Love ya."
"Back at ya, ugly."
Zach smacked him lightly. The four walked out of the room.
"There are lots of reporters downstairs, Justin. They tackled me on the way in. They know you're here and you're leaving. How, I don't know."
"It's okay, Lon. I'll make a statement, a brief one, but I want you to protect Michael."
"It's okay, Jus.I can handle this. Paulo's here too." Michael pointed at Paulo coming out of a opening elevator.
Justin smiled seeing Michael's protective cousin.
"You all set, Mikey?" Paulo said.
"As set as I'll ever be." He smiled, Justin smiling at him.
The four men, and friends, got on the elevator, Lonnie hitting the ground floor button.
When the doors finally opened, Michael was hit with a barrage of bright lights and flashing cameras.
He looked at Justin, Justin smiling at everyone.
Justin Timberlake was in full view, the persona front and center.
"Please, everyone. I wish to make a statement."
The loud bantering seemed to calm instantly, but the camera flashing continued.
"I'm happy to inform you that this man standing beside me is the man who saved our lives a few days ago. Michael Tavarro, once again, is a hero. He put his life on the line to save myself, my friend Lonnie here, and his own cousin, Paulo Garcia, standing behind him.
Michael was badly wounded, but is thankfully recovering. With god's love and our prayers. He's my best friend, and my protector. I owe him my life, I can't repay him enough for what's he's done for me."
Justin smiled hugging Michael, Michael looking shocked, and smiling.
"Michael? Michael!" Michael looking at a young woman beside him.
She thrust a mike in front of him.
"How does it feel to have the adoration of one of the world's most popular stars."
"Justin to me is a friend, not a star. He's a kind decent man. His friendship is an important part of me now."
"What is your view of what happened here. The police say two armed men attacked you? How did you survive that? One man was killed and one reportedly escaped."
"I survived it by putting myself ahead of others. I saw people in harms way and I tried to protect them. Unfortunately a man lost his life, but I fear he would have done more harm if I hadn't stopped him."
Another microphone was thrust in his face.
"How does it feel to save Justin Timberlake's life. Are you seeking any financial compensation? "
"Justin is my friend. I seek no money from him. All I need is his friendship."
Michael smiled at Justin.
Justin smiled looking around.
"He's already got that and much more. Thank you everyone, now we'd like to go home."
Lonnie and Paulo started separating the people around Justin and Michael, everyone pushing back.
Slowly the four men surged forward, the cameras continuing to flash.
They eventually were able to exit out a side entrance, only with the help of four other hospital security personnel.
They jumped into the back of a waiting limosine.
Michael leaned against the seat, staring at Justin beside him.
"How in the name of all that's great, do you survive that. They were like animals."
Justin smiled.
"All in a day's work, sweetie. I've been in bigger crowds."
Michael shook his head, Paulo staring at Justin.
"Get used to it, Paulo. It's my life, the life of a sex symbol." Justin grinned.
"Hey, baby. You're that and so much more. " Michael said, kissing Justin deeply.
Paulo blushed looking away.
Justin looked shocked at Michael's aggressiveness. Michael was actually pushing Justin back into the seat.
"I think the tiger's about to escape his cage. Calm down, Mico." Justin chuckled.
Michael's face dropped, Justin sensing his sudden hurt.
"What's wrong, Mico?"
"I love you so much, I can't help wanting to show you how much." Michael say in almost a whisper.
Justin leaned in kissing his drooping lips. Michael's face changed immediately.
"I love you showing me your love, sweetie. Don't ever stop that. It's what drives me wild."
Michael beamed, kissing Justin again.
"But I don't think Paulo would appreciate the floor show." Justin laughed, winking at Paulo.
"Don't mind me, I won't take pictures. But you might hear a lot of grunting." Paulo smiled. mimicing jerking off motions.
Michael started laughing, his loud boisterous laugh filling Justin's heart with happiness.
They all chatted, laughing and joking around. Michael noticed that Lonnie was unusually quiet, even for him.
"Paulo, can we switch places." Michael asked his cousin.
Paulo raised an eyebrow, then moved.
Michael sat beside Lonnie, Lonnie looking at him, then turning his head and staring out the window.
"Hey, Lon. What's wrong?" Michael said, putting his hand on top of Lonnie's.
Justin watched Michael and his friend.
"Nothing's wrong, Mikey. Everything's cool." Lonnie quietly said, still looking out the window.
Michael nodded, looking at Justin.
"You have to let it go, Lon. You have to let go of your anger."
Lonnie tensed up, looking back at Michael.
"I'm so fucking mad, Michael. I'm so mad at failing you. At letting that bastard get away." Lonnie said loudly with deep anger.
Everyone but Michael jumped at Lonnie's sudden outburst.
"I know, Lon. I've felt your anger inside since I woke up. I thought you would eventually talk to me, let it out. But you've remained distant. I'm sorry for leaving it to simmer. I think you want to tell me something."
Lonnie looked down at his hands, Justin seeing the tears in his eyes.
"I feel so angry. When you were shot, with those bullets hitting you, I looked at that man, and I felt so angry."
Michael put his hand on Lonnie's shoulder.
"You felt like you wanted to kill him."
"Yes, Michael. I wanted to take these big hands and choke the life out of him. To make him feel the pain he'd just given me. The pain he continues to give me. They hurt my friends, he hurt you. And I didn't do anything to stop him. I'm sorry, Michael. I didn't do anything to stop him."
Lonnie was sobbing now, leaning forward. Michael, Justin and Paulo all touching his back and shoulders, all being there for their friend.
"I've always been a gentle man, a god loving man. I have never had these feelings, these deep feelings of anger. I still feel that I want to kill that man. I want to kill another man."
Michael looked at Justin, seeing the tears in his eyes, the love he felt for his friend.
"Those feelings are only natural, Lon. It's the feeling of helplessness that someone feels when faced with a horrific situation. But you did help, Lon. Never doubt that."
Lonnie looked up, staring at Michael.
"When they first appeared, when the first shot went off, what did you do?"
Lonnie looked at Justin.
"I covered Justin. I saw the other man was coming for Justin."
"Yes, Lon. That wasn't just your job that you were doing, It was your love for him. Your wanting to protect a friend. That was the one thing that moved me the most about that whole vision I had. Your undying love for my Justin."
Lonnie looked at Justin.
"He's my friend. I love him like a younger brother."
Justin was moved beyond tears.
"I know, Lon. I've seen it every day I've known you. It's time to remove those feelings. To let that anger go. Behind it is a soul overflowing with love. Look around, my friend. We are all okay now, all four of us. The four of us now share a bond. A bond of special significance. We have all been given a second chance. Our futures have been changed. We are here now, alive and living. Let's embrace that life, let's love, laugh, and find happiness and joy in all we do. And to do that we need to free our souls of hatred, hurt, anger and sorrow. Will you let me do that for you, my friends?"
Everyone looked at Michael, sensing something special about to happen.
They all nodded not looking away from Michael's, suddenly glowing, golden eyes.
He took Lonnie's right hand, telling everyone to join hands.
They all did, Michael's eyes glowing brighter.
They all now saw the blue glows around each other, Michael now having a blue glow around him. He now had his mother's love.
Suddenly they saw black threads appear in each other's glow, Lonnie had a lot of them.
The threads of anger, hurt and sorrow.
Michael had none.
All the threads were being drawn out of the auras, collecting into a small black ball in the center of their circle.
Michael let go of Lonnie and Paulo's hands, the other men letting go.
The small ball remained in the center.
Michael's eyes glowed brighter, Michael reaching out and wrapping his hand around the ball.
The ball suddenly turned bright white in his hand and then totally disappeared.
Michael slumped forward, Justin catching him.
Michael righted himself again, smiling at them.
"It's done. All the anger, hatred, sorrow and confusion is gone from all of you. How do you all feel?"
They all smiled feeling a sense of relief and feeling refreshed.
They all told him.
Michael smiled.
"Excellent. You now have clear minds and souls. Let's never speak of this, it's done and finished."
All three nodded, feeling a deeper love for Michael.
Michael switched places with Paulo again, snuggling up to Justin.
"Thank you, Mikey. You never cease to amaze me." Lonnie smiled, everyone seeing their smiling friend back.
"What can I say, I'm a drama queen."
Everyone laughed, Justin tickling him. Michael's loud laughter filling all their hearts with joy.
The limosine pulled into a large hangar, stopping in front of two large white jets.
Everyone got out, seeing everyone else waiting for them.
A lot of hugs were exchanged, Michael hugging everyone in his large growing family.
Nana and Silas were flying back home with Alberto, being dropped off before he headed back to spain.
Everyone else was going back with Michael and Justin.
It would be a full plane.
Michael hugged his grandfather, his uncle and finally his grandmother.
Nana looked at her special grandson, seeing a new confident Mico.
"I'm so proud of you, Mico. You're an angel in every sense of the word."
Michael hugged her again, not wanting to let her go.
"I love you so much, Nana."
"I know my child, I know. Nana loves you with all her heart. Be happy my boy. There is so much love in you. I know you'll find all the happiness you need."
Michael kissed her cheek, smelling her special perfume.
"I'll call you when we get home, Nana."
"And we'll be up soon to visit." Justin said, Nana pulling him into a tight hug.
"I can't wait, sweetie. And you take care of this wonderful angel."
"I will, Nana. I will with all my heart."
Nana broke their hug, Silas wrapping his arm around her, seeing the tears falling.
Michael watched them board the other white jet.
Justin put his arm around him.
"Let's go home, Mico."
Michael smiled.
Home. The word never felt so right.
"Yes, my love. Let's go home."
